Backstory: Pandora Jean D’Arc was born to two loving parents, named Mary Elizabeth and James in Newark, New Jersey. Pandora is of Italian and American descent, and has a very prominent ‘Jersey’ accent. Growing up, Pandora was always surrounded by her family. She mostly spent time with her cousins as a child, and her grandmother. As a teenager, she picked up negative habits such as smoking. Her and her friends thought it would be a cool thing to do, as they would snag a cigarette from one of their parents before meeting up at an abandoned trailer park nearby one of their houses. Pandora didn’t realize that it would become an addiction that felt almost impossible for her to break. Despite this, she did well in school. After Highschool, she pursed a job at a local office for bookkeeping. In this time, it was pretty hard to be bookkeeper as a female. But Pandora didn’t need to go to college or anything to pursue this job. She was trained for weeks, and then took an exam to qualify.

Other information: Pandora stands at about 5’5” and weight 126 lbs. She has a prominent pear shape, and mostly dresses in a bohemian style. Pandora’s personality is what people call a “phlegmatic”, which means a relaxed and peaceful person. She is very hardworking, and dislikes when people interrupt her work. Pandora is a “treat others the way you want to be treated”, type of person. If you are kind to her, she’s kind to you. If someone is an utter bitch to her, she will not hesitate to return that same bitchy energy to that person.

Today's aesthetic: cosmic horror tabletop RPGs from the 1980s whose creators wrote the "madness rules" by simply plagiarising a list of disorders and their descriptions from the DSM-II and turning it into a d100 lookup table, except the DSM-II still listed "homosexuality" as a mental disorder (it wasn't removed until the DSM-III), with the result that there are several published tabletop RPGs where there's a small but non-zero chance that seeing Cthulhu will make you gay.

In 1989 Mayfair released a 2nd edition of their DC Heroes Role-Playing Game (top), and a 2nd ed Batman Sourcebook by Mike Stackpole (middle). The same year they also released a separate Batman Role-Playing Game (bottom) based on the DC Heroes rules, focused on Batman, his allies, and his classic villains.

Getting into D&D in the 70s/80s after hearing about it through the satanic panic controversy must’ve been so funny.

Like, imagine your some edge-lord, occult-obsessed goth teenager or early twenty-something in the 1980s, and you hear the rumours about this game that can summon demons, drive people to commit murder and/or kill themselves and was trying to get banned by pearl-clutching Christian parents across the nation. Like the Ouijia board on steroids. So of course you want in on that super fucked up hardcore demonic occult shit, you sign up for the nearest D&D group in your area, you show up, and then it’s just. A bunch of dorky fantasy nerds playing a board game where they act out an off-brand Lord of the Rings story with occasional dice rolls and improv comedy.
