I like to think that Ivan knows how unimportant he is to Till and how he is never in his mind/sight at all so when he attacked Till to guarantee his own death, he chose to squeeze his neck JUST cause Till could look at him this once and last time (just like the kiss hehe)

I think Ivan almost lost it when choking out Till and choking on his blood is what snapped him out of actually killing Till,,,,

cause like,,,, it's like,, it would be so easy to take Till with him but nah, he doesn't love Ivan back and he knows it damn well, so he lets Till go. He's selfish like Sua but him dying for Till here isn't the same as Sua dying for Mizi, cause Till doesn't replicate his feelings, he's just here to show his love cause he's got nothing to lose

It's all about Nagi living alone in a tiny one bedroom, one bathroom apartment with zero personality and Reo having a whole floor for himself but still living surrounded by tacky-expensive home decor with no apparent traces of his actual personality, either. Do you know how specific scent training is? Like if you train a dog to find mallards they can find other ducks, but they're not going to indicate at sparrows for instance. So how specific is it?

Hi! So short answer - depends on the dog and how well they contextualize.

If you have a dog predisposed to finding birds, they're probably going to find all birds and then generally learn which ones you (the human) care about. So say for example your dog shows you a crow, a sparrow, a mallard, a teal, and a finch. You reward the mallard and the teal, and you ignore the others. Eventually your dog will release that you only care about some birds and their indication on crows and sparrows amd finches will fade.

If, on the other hand, you have to teach a dog to indicate birds from scratch, you might have to contextualize more. So you'd teach your dog that you reward when they look at ducks in a pond, and then they'd seek out ducks in a pond (hopefully). Then you'd have to teach that you reward when they find ducks in a field. Then ducks on a path in the woods. Then you might have to teach them that you don't care about herons in the pond. And so on and on, depending how quickly they understand what you're rewarding.

It really depends on what connection your dog makes in their puppy brain, and there isn't a good way to control that. But it's a fun thing to try anyway, especially if it's something you and your dog find enriching!

Lesbian? Sapphic? ...trans? Or...nonbinary? Definitely genderqueer. But also ace? Definitely a whole lot of gender happening somehow any way.

And then you have the people who are like.... clearly struggling with how fucked up and amoral and brutal Zhu and Ouyang both are. When it's like.... yeah? This book isn't trying to be "good" "representation" in a "wow what a great role model" kind of way. It's a book about power and desire and empire and war and survival and a brutal world creating brutal people.

It's all just very entertaining.
