Tubbo spent 4+ hours searching for Dapper. He did everything he could think of to get Bad out of jail without risking Dapper. He did his absolute best to stop Eve from opening the camera menu or warping away. When he was killed he had to disconnect and leave his room to calm down enough to keep playing. After Eve was gone Tubbo was the first to go search the place for Dapper, was the first to find him. And through this whole ordeal, Bad – notorious for not trusting or relying on anyone else – turned to Tubbo, his coach, for help.

I was never a fan of Purgatory, but I will forever be in love with how it turned Tubbo and Bad's relationship from borderline hate to ride or die.

I’m genuinely so glad q!Tubbo and q!Bad died around the same time- getting to see how hard losing them one right after the other is deeply hurting all the islanders is literally destroying me o(-(

Soulhunters, soul sacrificers, constants of the server. always willing to lend a hand, everyone’s friends, they would give everything away if it meant someone was happy. They were a team, co-leaders, business partners, occupying the top of the leaderboard. Always moving with little eggs surrounding them, the babysitters of the server- one at the morning shift, the other the night shift. Then they both just die. and the island is not the same.

3 kids are left without parents, all others without their beloved uncles. One name is erased on the leaderboard and the other is replaced by a creation. Friends who have been cruelly ripped apart are left wondering “hey, why does everyone keep dying? I miss them so much, what should I do? should I just die too? maybe then they’ll come back to us…”

and when they do eventually come back? they won’t be the same. 2 constants, dear friends and family, no longer recognizable. how heartbreaking is that?

Something I love about soul hunters is how Tubbo can’t trust bad to not mess with him or prank him. He didn’t fully believe that bad wouldn’t put the warden at his house, but he could trust that bad would pay him back. He can trust that bad will back him up in a fight or when he’s making business deals. He can trust bad with his life but can’t take him for his word

Do you think Tubbo would recognize the path Bad is going down, because it's one he's already walked down on?

This self-destructive behavior coming from a broken heart?

He hasn't seen Bad at his best, before the eggs got kidnapped. He's seen him a victim to grief more than a father. It's why the blue staining Bad's being isn't out of the ordinary.

But suddenly he starts carrying flowers to remind him of the love he lost, suddenly the void calls out his name even louder and suddenly Tubbo sees himself in the older demon.

And it's scary, because suddenly he sees what he has become, how it affects others.

And for the first time of many, he sees Bad walk down a road he's paved. For the first time of many, Bad is the one repeating Tubbo's mistakes.

I could headcanon this though.

Cause in lore a robot [Created body & transferred consciousness?] and an immortal totem decide a nuclear creeper that has a gigantic explosion is the perfect prank for the old crow whose a hermit but also surrounded by people.

The crow then blames the demon who is known for arguing with the shark totem no matter the era because they exist to spite each other affectionately and with sharp objects.

These immortal motherfuckers and their idea of a prank is twisted lmao

Today, March 14 2024, will go down in soulhunter history as the funniest Bad and Tubbo interaction

the intense narrative foiling between the death of q!tubbo and the death of q!badboyhalo.

q!tubbo’s death felt like it happened so suddenly. many of those around him didn’t even believe it was real. one second he was playing around and then for a brief instant he begged for his life and then he was gone.

q!bbh’s death felt very slow. that he himself was stretching it out for as long as possible. there was time for him to prepare and for others to realize. to have the terrible feeling of grieving someone while they’re still alive.

and that’s not to say that q!tubbo’s death was random and out of nowhere because it wasn’t. similar to q!bbh, you could see his slow path to self destruction for months. but once again, those two were foils to one another.

q!tubbo was not one to hide it. the way he would say that he wouldn’t shower or change his clothes for brief periods of time. that he would willingly let himself get hurt without a care in the world. the thought that no one would take him seriously about things and he had said that thought out loud before. he spent his last moments gambling his own life away.

q!bbh would always try to hide it. although the evidence was clearly on his face and back, he would deny deny deny until those last final days. and even then it was only to those he trusted. he let himself get hurt by the soul vultures in his own home away from everyone else. he spent his last moments alone, panicking over old memories that still hurt him.

in the end, their commonality lays in that the kids were always the first ones to realize something was wrong. that they could see that the decline was slow but meaningful to them. the two soulhunters, bound together by fighting so fiercely to protect those who were not even their own, although it led to their deaths. the realm of the living waits for their returns and misses them in the shape of eggs

Bad told Tubbo that he was in a coma and that he worked in a bakery and was a part-time fitness trainer, seven adopted children and Tubbo asked if he was a homewrecker too and Bad said "you know what, yeah, you are". So Tubbo asked Bad whose marriage did he wreck and Bad said everyone's because when they walked into Tubbo's bakery, they immediately saw Tubbo and left their partners for him (paraphrase, along these lines) and Tubbo was like "as they fucking should, can I get a hell yeah, voices?"

the soulhunters spiralling in different times in parallel ways is actually going to drive me insane and I can’t believe people haven’t talked about this more (or if they have been then i am blind,,,,)

- the parallels of bad and tubbo both constantly believing that they’re only worth what they can give (and still do)

- bad and dapper have hidden themselves far away for safety and believe that at the end of the day, all they have is each other

- tubbo and sunny planning to hide themselves away to save their own hearts and also believe that all they really have is each other

- not as emotional/related but sunny and dapper are both spoiled rich kids that love their dads and siblings more than anything. and im so glad they got to hang out today >:D

watching tubbo go down the same self destructive path has me ripping my shirt apart like that fuckass werewolf meme but I am literally so invested in it that I can’t stop watching,, it’s like watching a car crash: you know what’s going to happen and it’s going to be awful but you can’t bring yourself to look away 😭

but if I’m being optimistic, maybe tubbo can come back from it? bad has by no means been “saved” but love is what urged him back from the brink.

and maybe love, whether from sunny, fit or pac or maybe all three, can be what urges him back as well. I definitely hope that’s the case anyways,,, and while we’re at it: getting it through his head that people actually like him for himself and not his wealth kkkk but one can only hope

q!tubbo trying to say “do you come here often” to the eye worker downing him earlier, I’ve heard q!bad using “it’s joever” too
