kacchan telling izuku that his body moved on his own is fucking crazy. like not only did kacchan remember izuku saying that all the way back from the sludge-villain incident but he’s also confirming that izuku’s crazy, boarder-line suicidal intensity is a two way street. it’s not just izuku who is insane about kacchan it’s mutual insanity. kacchan’s body moved on its own. he was helpless but to throw himself into the line of fire when he saw izuku was in danger. he didn’t think about it. he didn’t choose to do it. he didn’t have a choice. it was as if izuku was a piece of his own soul. katsuki instinctually needed to protect him above all else, even at the cost of his own life

Literally in love with how flawed Nana Shimura is.
Obsessed with the fact she breaks under pressure and makes the wrong decisions. She's the only woman that has been an ofa user, she abandoned her son choosing to save other people instead of taking care of her own family, she begged Izuku to save Tomura and then asked Izuku to forget him and annihilate him. She was like a mother to All Might, she left Kotaro with the crappiest letter ever as an excuse for the fact she left him behind. She's foundational for the Hero Society, her fuck up is what created Tomura in the first place.
I adore complex female characters that are no angels, but not the devil either. Even if they have the best of intentions, they can be cruel and their actions result in the worst of consequences. She was not meant to be a mother at all, if she valued her hero work over her own son. Of course she'd tell Izuku to give up on her grandchild when she has no real connection to him. It doesn't mean she wasn't heroic or selfless in many situations, just that she is equally capable of being selfish.
In retrospect, you can see how her flaws echo Tomura's own shortcomings. The Shimuras are such an interesting family...
