It's logical for them to share resources/money, yes, but it feels like we are constantly reminded of this, even when it's only one of them who "owns" something (the hydra "belongs" to Zach, yet she's also referred to as "theirs", Zach's little "Wow, you're really determined on spending all our money, aren't you?" comment a few chapters back, etc etc). Little things like these make them feel like a real team/unit

Hansol and you immediately clicked when you were introduced to each other, never going through the awkward stage of a friendship. Okay...I think Lily Evans might be a masochist, and not being too mature, it makes sense for her and James to be together. As for conceiving in a way of a war, that's actually quite normal behavior. Usually, periods of death and destruction tend to make people more eager to procreate.
Yeah. I mean we saw early on that she excused The Marauders’ behavior and told him to basically grateful that they didn’t actually go through with murdering him which was spun James “saving” him. Think about this for a moment, how would you feel if you were almost mauled to death by a bear and your supposed best friend is taking the side of the bullies of led you there? No only that, but this is just before the SWM incident where they sexually assaulted Severus and she almost laughed. I mean what the hell????
At one point, Lily and Severus were absolutely best friends, but at the year of SWM Lily has started to take the side of the people that have nearly killed and now sexually assault her BFF in public. If I were her I would have thrown away the wands and just punched the shit outta them. Gotta be honest. Who the fuck bargains with the people dangling your best friend up by their legs while stripping them naked? At that point the white gloves should be coming fucking off. At this point Lily has overwhelming evidence to prove that Severus is telling the truth about them. Not only that, but she had seen them bullying him on numerous occasions, they did it every day. There is no way she didn’t witness more incidents similar to SWM before the werewolf incident, yet she dismissed Severus out of hand.
If this were my best friend I would believe them and back them up if for no other reason than the fact that I put to much stock in the last 4-5 years of our friendship than to think they’d make up a murder attempt on their life just to get me to hate someone else. How desperate Severus is just to be heard out for once that the person he cares about most is on his side as a FRIEND is heartbreaking.
What’s more it seems like what Severus mainly wants is some validation that Lily still cares for him:
He doesn’t even bring up James at first. It’s only when she condemns him for hanging out with his own housemates (and he can just stop that according to her, cause you know, he has so many options and places to go to get away from his own house), while then defending the people that make his life a living hell on a daily basis. Severus NEVER hits on Lily (in opposition to popular Marauder fannon). What we do see is one best friend asking his nearest and dearest to confirm their FRIENDSHIP and care of him for his life and wellbeing.
I just don’t understand Lily here unless you consider she was already deeply attracted to James and just didn’t want to admit it at this stage because he hadn’t “grown up” yet (and keep in mind the bar is so low she only needs convincing enough that James not sexually assaulting people in public is considered a glow up). I don’t know what this girl was thinking. I don’t think at all that Lily should be obligated to have chosen Severus as a romantic partner and honestly? I don’t think that Severus ever thought she would. What we see here is not a “tell me you want me to be your boyfriend and not him”. What we have here is “please tell me my life means more to you than James Potter’s cool guy image”. And that’s just so fucking sad to me.
In short, I believe Lily was attracted to James for a long time, and when SWM happened it was the perfect time for her to excuse a move to date James. I don’t understand how on earth you justify dating someone who is so openly cruel as James is to someone who’ve you’ve known intimately since childhood. Lily chose James and that’s totally her right, but I think it has more to do with being swept up in the high school romance trope then the war and the romance of being on the run together than it has to do with a deep and meaningful connection. Lily “making excuses for you for years” sounds more like “my cool friends don’t vibe with this whole emo thing you got going on. I think we’re in different places”. You know what? Sometimes friends grow apart, but it seems shitty to me to turn right round and date the guy who’s been torturing your ex best friend for years to the point of sexual assault THAT YOU WITNESSED????. one thing I've learned is that the reason western fans ship homosexual relationships in anime, manga and idols is because they have a completely different dynamic than us. ok so. this is gonna be very focused on my girl at the expense of the general plot but pls enjoy
in [redacted larp], the kingdom of vaguely medieval european fantasy is under attack by the evil wizard empire. the evil wizard empire are your traditional mage supremacists with an immortal god-emperor who ban the worship of all of VMEFkingdom's gods.
at my first game, Our Heroes were freeing an island from occupation by the evil wizard empire. they burst into a tavern and start killing the soldiers stationed there, and find a few civilians hiding, including a death priest. there are two death gods in the setting: one loves zombies and necromancy and suffering, and the other is about finality and respect for the dead and things in their right place. the priest, who follows the second, after recovering from getting whacked on the head while hiding behind a counter, introduces herself as Let This Darkness Be A Belltower (bell for short). this is not a normal name in the setting, lmao.
bell immediately joins in with the forces of the rebellion, mostly following around an elven doctor who becomes her new bff and healing people. by the end of the weekend she has blown up an evil wizard empire warship by sabotaging a laser cannon and helped to free the city.
of course, let this darkness be a belltower... is the name she gave herself after she had a religious breakdown/breakthrough and defected from the evil wizard empire. (a few people know this after her first game, most don't.)
meruet peitry! her mom is a politician, her brother is a soldier, her younger half-sister is a prodigy necromancer and the golden child. meruet is frankly a disappointment because she has a little mage blood and can't use it at all, but her family is nice about it. she's her sister's confidante/anchor/the person who tells her to take a nap when she's doing too much necromancy and it's affecting her temperament. (meruet haaaates necromancy. unbeknownst to her or anyone around her, this is because of being chosen by deathgod 2.)
she gets shuffled off to the occupied island as part of a political game, mostly as a hostage to ensure her family's good behavior, but she's just happy to not be married off.
she debuted in game in 2022. in the in-game equivalent of 2020, one of the PCs definitely the dastardly evil wizard empire kicked off a necromantic blight that caused all the dead things in a certain region to rise as zombies immediately. simultaneously, someone was fucking with deathgod2, and all his chosen started having extreme insomnia and nightmares. a sleep-deprived meruet has a break with reality and becomes variously convinced that she's dead (she is not) undead (no) and chosen by a higher power (yes.) after some time secretively investigating confiscated materials on VMEFkingdom's gods, she realizes she has some association with deathgod2 and starts spending more time with the locals...
getting us back to where we started. meruet peitry is presumed dead, and bell has new friends! with a certainty born of god visions and a convert's zeal, she resolves to just never think about her family again, and probably that will be fine.
she learns the world is ending and throws her lot in with freeing the old gods to fix it, resolving with that same self-centered moral certainty that she will lie to her new friends if necessary to achieve this (they turn out to agree. but she would have lied her ass off). at one point she gets kidnapped BY the evil mage empire for a month. she becomes frenemies (?) with the atheist goodguy necromancer who, when they met, made a corpse throw itself off a cliff and then told her god was fake. she's doing fine.
one day a skeleton shows up with a letter from her sister mariliz. bell is uhh upset by the necromantic messenger and also stressed. the letter is like "i saw by scrying that you're alive?? have the forces of VMEFkingdom kidnapped you?? please write back!!" bell ignores it. <3
unfortunately, her sister gets kidnapped by bone-eating vampires (?!) on a research mission, which bell learns when her sister's dream bleeds into the dream the PCs are exploring, and she walks into her childhood home with a bunch of her new friends and is greeted by her siblings. then her sister starts screaming, wakes up, and disappears.
a rescue mission is waged. bell continues to maintain the pretense that she is rescuing a random woman who is not related to or known to her in any way to everyone but a few people. she even sends a dream message ahead to her sister to be like "DO NOT say we are sisters when we meet. i love you. don't die"
when they find her sister, though, she is ... in a bad way from having her bones repeatedly eaten and regrown for months. bell takes her back to the clinic where she's living, and as her sister is basically swaying on her feet about to pass out, freaks out about how she's a traitor and a heretic and it would be better if they hadn't met again. (oh, her sister doesn't believe she can do divine magic, because the emperor is the only god. maybe bell has finally learned how to do arcane magic after years of failing to? bell: No!!) mariliz passes out and bell immediately ties her hands and has the local sorcerer cast a spell on the bonds preventing her from using her magic. (necromancy is not ONLY scary, it's illegal here. this is for her own good!)
cue bell's sister living in the clinic as a prisoner for months while they wait for someone who can take her home. bell makes some attempts at de-indoctrinating her, but she's bad at it (keeps getting mad that her sister doesn't believe her god is real). she mostly ends up making weird comments to the two elf doctors helping to treat her and reading trashy novels. god bless the person who played her, who hits the perfect balance of smugly chauvinist, kickable, and deeply unsettled by the changes in her sister and her life.
meanwhile, on a dangerous mission, bell finds out that one of the other PCs caused the blight (when someone casually mentions it). she punches him in the face and resolves she has trusted *too many goddamn necromancers*. that same day, she meets her god inside his nightmare of the time he was fucked with. she tries to look into his eyes as he freaks out and gets an instant "insanity no will save" effect, which was fun as hell to play because i just upped the ante on her panic about the dream and about the people around her being corpse dismembering murderers (this fear was already present). but she does recover and asks her god if he would have her take any action against the other PC. he says no. so now they're... extremely awkward coworkers.

+ bonus: my fave face NPC (that i play) is a horrid anti-magic cop who just shows up and flatly bullies everyone holding scrolls. twice she has caught people with high level necromancy scrolls. i keep waiting for someone to murder her, i am NOT that hard to kill, but she does have a spell that boils the magic in your blood, which i am waiting eagerly to use <3

The favourite Arcobaleno headcanon I have ever made is HCing Reborn as literally any nationality that is not Italian. I do not care for where, but I imagine this man wants to pretend to be the epitome of Italian Mafioso- born and raised praise the sweet motherland. But he has literally not stepped foot in the country before he was an adult, and it is his most deeply embarassing, closely guarded secret. He is very smart, well-researched and skilled with acting; he is literally the world's best, so he would be able to keep up a ruse. But I always imagine that Luce will know the moment they meet, and he could not face her for it for a while. (As a bonus, he grabbed/gaslit Colonnello-the-childhood-bff to futher his story lol).
It is immensely funny to me, and also canon does not strictly contest it as we do not know any acro's backgorund extensively.

but THEN reborn’s all dodgy about it so of course he actually becomes curious about it, and they end up in this cat and mouse dynamic where reborn unfortunately can’t kill him to make him stop until they’re done working together at the very least. and his only reprieve is that the other arco don’t give a shit about it (and luce keeps quiet about it) even if skull wastes no time sharing his suspicions with them, and just, you know, don’t believe him, and i’m thinking of viper specifically here who’d go “i’ve literally found with extreme difficulty multiple documents proving he is italian and was born in italy and lived his whole life in italy”, and they’re all forged of course, but they don’t know that.
and then reborn eventually DIES, and they want to be considerate and nice and bury him in his hometown or whatever, but then reborn’s “will” which he made sure they’d find just goes something like “i’ve literally never been italian a day in my life you fucking losers, here’s where i want to be buried instead, get it right”, and the arco just go “?????????” while skull goes “i KNEW it!!!!”, but also goes “???????” because THIS is what that was about??? wtf?????
and i’m sorry i fucking ran with your hc nonny but this is really cracking me up so hard zesdxhg. 😂😂😂 but on another note i actually don’t think reborn’s italian either tbh! i can see it and write him as one because it’s easier lol, but yeah, i don’t think he is italian either.

I never said Steve would blame Nancy for not being into him or Robin for possibly having feelings. Steve is not the type of person who would force others to like him. He let her go so she could date Jonathan in s2. However, Jonathan and Steve weren't friends at all, so that's an entirely different situation. If Jonathan and him were bffs, he would have distanced himself from him as well.
I guess I project a lot on Steve because a friend of mine started to date my ex, and I felt super betrayed. We don't know how much Robin knows about Stancy, but they would have talked about it. The equivalent to this would be Steve dating Tammy Thompson or Vickie after learning how much Robin liked them. I don't see Robin being extremely thrilled about that either. I also don't think being hurt or angry at your bff if they were to date your ex is shitty behavior or unhealthy. Like I said, I ended that friendship with my friend because I felt hurt and betrayed. It's called setting boundaries. Now I don't think Steve would simply let go of Robin, but their relationship would change where he would distance himself from her, that would also not make him a bad friend, he is setting boundaries. Robin can do whatever but she would have to consider the possible consequences and if it's worth it to jeopardize her friendship with Steve. It's not so simple because the situation is super messy.
I do think Steve would come around later, but his dynamic with Robin would change, like he's not a doormat with zero feelings that you can just walk over. Like a tiny part of him would always feel betrayed by it, especially if he knows Robin knew about his feelings for Nancy. It's one thing to say, hey mate, she moved on. She has a new partner, and another thing to say move on I want to date your ex, and you better be happy about it. I agree Robin not persuing Nancy for the sake of Steve could lead to resentment of Steve, but at the same time Robin betraying Steve could lead to Steve resenting Robin, and tbh he has the right to voice those feelings just like Robin as the rights.
I also doubt Nancy would be super happy with Steve constantly being around. S4 was the first time they hung out again, they both actively avoided each other between seasons because they are not friends. I think she would have problems with her gf being extremely close with her ex. Especially because she was hurt so much by Steve. Again it's such a messy situation for all parties involved.

point 1, before anything else: considering steve acted all upset when nancy greeted Her Boyfriend Jonathan at the end of s4 because he'd started to feel old feelings is indicative that yes, he probably would feel that way in some capacity.
and, tbh, main point in all of this: there is a certain problem with projecting your own feelings onto characters in the show if it doesn't really fit the situation described. i know nothing about your own personal experience, it would be foolish of me to tell you what was the right or wrong way to handle your personal situation, but i'm thinking it is not a 1 to 1 comparison to the characters in the show, which is why it needs to be looked at differently.
nancy and steve's relationship ending wasn't a "one is at fault and the other isn't" situation, but im presenting this argument the best way i can:
if nancy had done steve incredibly wrong (which we can fight all day on: no she didn't) and their relationship didn't work out because nancy was abusive/toxic to him, then he would absolutely feel betrayed by robin pursuing a relationship with her! the problem? that's not at ALL what happened.
nancy and steve's relationship ended because 1) steve's incredible wrongs (see: nancy "the slut" wheeler" and leaving her drunk at a party) had stacked AND nancy, who needed to deal with her trauma, could not put it aside for steve, who wanted to repress his own trauma, by pretending everything was normal.
the biggest hurt that nancy caused steve was the "bullshit" scene, and canonically IN THE SHOW steve says she was right! that that needed to be said, which he learned after his development in s3.
steve messed up with nancy, and while i don't think he's a bad person for it, by any stretch of the imagination, it'd be really weird for him to hold it against robin for wanting to pursue something with nancy because of his own hurt feelings.
you're point on moving on: those two things really aren't that different, but one blatantly misinterprets the point i made about robin, and also about what confronting someone about something unhealthy means. if you talk to someone about their behavior and go "hey, this is uncool", it is never "suck it up and like what's happening" it's "this is the truth, please understand why your perception isn't healthy". it is never comfortable, but it's also not mean.
also: voicing hurt feelings is different than justifying them. if you say, "hey, this bothers me, even if it shouldn't", it is not a crime on you, or a bad thing to do, it's way healthier than ignoring those feelings. because at the end of the day, any resentment steve gains for robin from something like that, it isn't healthy, like no ifs, ands, or buts, in their situation it wouldn't be healthy.
and final point: nancy cares a lot about steve. just because they aren't the bestest of friends does NOT mean they don't care about each other. look at s4: nancy looked so relieved to see steve and the others pull up, because she knows she can rely on him, and steve wants to be there for her. i really don't think nancy feels romantically for steve, but she still cares about him, a lot, and what happened between them doesn't change that. robin and steve being besties does the opposite of bother her, by the way, like in canon.
i can't tell where you stand on nancy wheeler, but a lot of your points really don't feel like you understood stancy for what it was, and who nancy and steve are now.

My other small rant of the day is inspired by my YouTube algorithm, but ... listen, I have ADHD. I know the struggles. I am here for any cultural changes that help everyone cope with the brains they have and still thrive in their relationships, career, etc. But also! Can we move past the advice and videos and such that leans into making ADHD people look like total assholes and telling everyone that they just have to deal with our assholeness? Can we start focusing more on the kinds of good compromises we can work on with our loved ones, coworkers, etc to make life easier for all of us?
Like, I have trouble remembering to answer communications. It's a natural consequence of ADHD, but that doesn't mean my BFF needs to just accept that I'll never call or message her back unless my brain just randomly decides it's time! It means that a) she needs to understand I'm not deliberately ghosting her and give me some grace but also b) I need to understand that communication means something to her and if I value my relationship with her I need to figure out ways around my brain and occasionally be the one to text first!
And your time blindness does not mean EITHER of the following: a) you're a terrible human being who has no respect for anyone or b) you just get a free pass to be late or skip everything all the time forever! It means the people who love you should give you some grace and be willing to accept a certain amount of lateness from you, but it also means that you need to put in some work to figure out some reminder system that will actually sink in for you, because yes, being on time is actually necessary in some situations! And even when it's not strictly necessary, sometimes it's just a good thing to focus on in order to make someone you love happy!
(My particular neurological soup has the opposite of time blindness most of the time - I'm hyper-aware of time and schedule and get super duper anxious about things happening or not happening on the right schedule. That's something I've been slowly learning how to deal with as the years pass, but knowing it's there and accepting it does not mean I get a pass for badgering people and laying my anxiety out on everyone else. It means I've worked hard on finding counters to my anxiety and accepting that schedules are often made-up structure that doesn't matter too much in the grand scheme of things. But also, it means I should be able to ask for accommodations when a schedule IS important to me and have people respect that!)
I get it - normalizing the things that neurodivergent brains do is still very important, and making sure people know they're not totally broken is an excellent goal. But we can do that without implying that acceptance of a neurodivergence means the person who has it is exempt from assessing how their behaviors affect other people.

Okay frannnddd I played the murder mystery party like you recommended and I need help….
I ended the season with Carl (lol I felt like the LI’s were trash that season, sorry I wish I was a Noah girlie but I’m not🫠) so I picked the selection that we were married but open (lol) only because I wanted their to be bits and it said he wouldn’t be at the party…
But when I was playing it was like every character just openly asked if I’m open and wanted to do bits like it was too easy!!! So I did bits with Gary, Marisol (lol and why to both?), turned Lottie down, and phone bits with Carl (double lol) but Noah didn’t give me a chance and I’m not a Bobby or Lucas girlie so I felt stuck in this game?!
Do you know if it’s a better game experience to say married and not open or dating/not open, or just be dating/married to someone at the actual party??? Not a strong fan of anyone at the party but wanted a fun experience!
Also I started that season with Rocco so lol at Chelsea for stealing my OG man😂 HALP!

I'm here to introduce someone that I love and consider like my own sister. her name is "Salsabillah Putri Berliana" a beautiful name isn't it? of course, a beautiful name like a diamond that sparkles (beautifully) like the person and has a great meaning. she was born in the city of Malang, February 29, 2004 ✿ ! and today, is her 19th birthday. to be honest I was confused by the birth of salsa because birthdays are rare and only celebrated once every 4 years. and after i know "people born on 29th february" they are usually celebrated on 28th february or 1st march. okey forget that, let's get straight to the point.. maybe according to her, day after day she goes through many obstacles and trials that she has to face. but she's so cool, she's strong, she's passionate, she's caring, she's smart, she's kind, and she's everything. that's why, from everything she went through, it was made easy even though it was definitely a bit heavy. but he's great isn't she? has been able to survive until now ^_^
