Honestly I still really love this season so far, I think I just like the story of this season so far, I could see myself replaying it more then any season since s4, it’s not perfect and has some flaws but overall I have been pretty entertained and actually excited for each volume so far. I like this season way more especially since there is no Amelia. 🥹

I feel like the odd man out cause the litg discord and the reddit seem so annoyed about this season every volume. I get the season has problems but some of the issues people have with it is hyper critical? Like being stolen all the time, it is annoying but like in this season it does actually make sense we are supposed to be like Priya level bombshell. We are the weather reporters. 😭 Even though we have been stolen we also are in control with who we spend time with, I’ve spent no time with Travis because they let us spend the time with our OG LI or someone else if we want. Their biggest problem is the fact they can’t branch well. It’s just people act like this is worse then s6 when I think it’s improved from s6. If this was s6 we would be stuck with Bonnie forever. 🥹

I want to go back and play s2 because I enjoy this season so much because it’s made me happy? 😂

I actually agree with you that for the most part this season is actually still enjoyable and I def want to replay when it’s over. The writing has improved from previous seasons and it feels like there’s a lot going on in the background that doesn’t necessarily effect MC and the drama isn’t only happening to us - which I appreciate. I didn’t even mind being stolen especially since we had full say with who we shared the bed with multiple nights! My biggest gripe I think has to do with continuity. For example - we are currently coupled up with Travis. Even if you have a girl chat saying you’re sleeping with alex (my li) I still feel like there should’ve been a short chat where she talks to Travis about it and lets him know as well. Then we get flowers in our bed and instead of chatting with the guy who’s standing right there!! We run off to the dressing room and have to guess who gave us those flowers and confirm with uma?? Like why couldn’t I have just said alex, hugged him and ran off to get dressed for bed?? Then this week when we’re getting ready for bed they made it seem like mc was waiting for alex to climb into bed with her. You’re not coupled up!! He would’ve been going to bed with Estelle! I think that cliffhanger should’ve happened in the hallway or living room. Because why would MC be waiting for him in the bedroom when she’s literally just ran up on him outside for multiple days now. Another thing that isn’t related to us but a continuity issue.. in my playthrough after Mc and alex come back from their date Uma is straddling and attempting to kiss Raf and Daphne catches them. And then later when they’re sent home they completely brush off what happened earlier. Like Uma trying to kiss Raf is one thing, but STRADDLING him lol. I’m sorry but how do you get in that position with no objections? And then you’re all yea can’t wait to be together on the outside and perfect couple? I just feel like there should’ve been more tension with raf and daphne on their exit. (Also did they leave on everyone’s playthrough or was I just a savage when I picked them to leave lol)

Strong agree on all of this and want to add that this weeks update made it even more unnecessary that we got stolen away by the bombshell.

Don’t get me wrong, I loved that we had the option to sleep on the daybeds with our original couple (and this should be a forever option in the future too) but i thought it was WILD that we didn’t even give the bombshell a heads up that we were doing that. If you’re not going through the motions of at least pretending we’re in the bombshell couple than what the hell was the point of having them steal us away??

If they’re going to be bringing in bombshells to steal us they need to do a better job of integrating the steal. If it’s going to happen against our will anyway, they shouldn’t have them ask us if we’d be cool to couple with them. Because I definitely told Travis no multiple times and I was so mean to him on the date!! It actually seems nuts that he was like “yea that’s the girl for me!” After I called him cringe on our date. The convo we had this week where they force us to seem compatible because we agree on all of the same things should’ve been the convo we had pre-steal. I say this all because I can’t imagine fb coming up with better storylines so if they’re not at least make the steal one better. I for one would’ve much rather stayed in my cute couple and been left the fuck alone

The issue with BOMBSHELL LIs (S7 based)

DISCLAIMER: This post is my opinion, and that's all I'll say this time because this will get boring very quick.

So let's set the scene.

You're on Love Island. You've been picked for Casa Amor. And this Spanish beauty (Rafael) / Golden Retriever (Alex) / Fashion Designer goofball (Bryson) / Mysterious sexy man (Joyo) decides to bring you back to the villa against all odds.

You've had a few bumps in the road already, with his ex partner trying to win him back at all costs, and her own current partner showing interest in only you (dropping the little, but somewhat expected, bombshell that they'd rather date you and break it off with Daphne/Estelle/Willow/Geri).

You've been rejecting people left right and centre, whether it's your partner's ex, your partner's ex's new boy (kinda), or one of the girls you came back to the villa with, you've been rejecting them. Wanting to spend time with your partner.

Then, two, subjectively, gorgeous bombshells enter the villa, revealing that they've asked you on a date. After both dates, you've realised neither are for you, and that your head isn't being turned away from your original boy. You tell both bombshells, and think that's the end of it.

FUCKING WRONG.

Now can someone please tell me why the bombshells in recent seasons always want to steal us? Tell me why when I've said to them "I would rather you didn't pick me" do we still get picked? Why do we always get stolen away from our partner?

It just feels wrong to have the bombshells interested in our character. Of course, it makes more sense since the whole female cast for this season was basically replaced for Casa girls (which I still think is stupid asf, I should make a post on that too tbh) but if there had been a mixture of both, surely it would make more sense to pick one of the OGs? You would know a hell of a lot more about them rather than a girl who's just entered a few days ago.

I just think it's really stupid that Vicky/Travis coupled up with us. I just want ONE RECOUPLING with a bombshell that doesn't want to couple up with us in these newer seasons. I mean, the only person I can genuinely think of is Toby.

Why do we always get stolen?

Can other people get picked instead? It feels really frustrating to never get a chance with your partner. I mean, they're literally your partner. Why do they always do this?

I think it'd be so much more interesting if Fusebox made it so that Uma and Alex were split up. Or Daphne and Rafael when you're not on his route.

But this was just a short post to vent my frustration at the fact that Bombshells really do ruin a loyal route.

I think this voi was rewritten likely to avoid branching. Bonnie never revealed what she was talking with your LI despite her promise and your Ex LI never told you your LI secret, not to mention vol III cliffhanger hinted about this secret being terrible and might ring alarm bells on you. It´s so dissapointing if I am being honest, we waited 2 weeks to get merged dialogue and no answers and that worries me because the first III vol are good. I hope they aren´t gonna repeat S6 mistakes.

Bestie I knowwwww !!!! I really hate how they completely merged all the girls into basically one. I was also hoping so much that only one og girl was going to be sent home because I was hoping for more dynamic storytelling and personalities but it’s clear they gave that up entirely 😭😭😭😭

When the end of season survey comes around I’m gonna just write DO WHAT YOU DID AT THE START!!! Give us branching and personality or don’t come back!

We didn’t! They never mentioned it again. And we also never got to find out what our LIs og girl was gonna say to us either. They glossed over both of those things

I saw on Reddit if you’re on Raf’s route all the girls except for Daphne are dumped. And it kinda makes sense since they don’t have profiles. I’m gonna assume the main storyline is doing the Raf route. That’s crazy.

Excuse me!! THREE GIRLS?! That’s nuts!! It annoys me how they can get some things sooo right and then other things so wrong. In what world would Joyo leave Geri for Bonnie when he has ZERO connection with her. Bryson switching to Uma to me makes perfect sense for his character. When you’re not on his route, he seems pretty surface level and doesn’t deep it with his connections. I hate that the casa girls have now become the og girls. Sorry but that’s lame to me and would NEVER happen irl. Casa ppl are always first people voted out when it comes to the recouplings after casa. And we’re meant to believe that the public would be ok with this mess?? Absolutely not!

It's obvious these episodes have been rewritten in the week break, they dropped 2 plot points from the last volume, first whatever the OG girl wanted to tell us about her former partner (she never continued that discussion) and second whatever talk Bonnie had with our LI that chose to twist with us which she said she'll talk about later. Maybe the mass dumping of the OG girls wasn't supposed to happen initially, but I guess it's easier for them to just write 1 unidimensional personality for all 4 of them combined.

Soooo true!! And even the way they started it this week Estelle said “I have to tell you something about Alex” and then we never hear from her and Geri and Willow pull us for a chat. So bizarre.

Personally I would’ve preferred to wait a few more weeks for a new season so that they could get it right. They already improved so much with the boys, why not give us the same energy with the girls. Especially since their teams still had to draw them and give them each a pseudo personality.

One more for the day here are some snippets of our conversation with Willow and Geri. It shows just how delulu Estelle is. Even they are saying not to buy her wanting him all of a sudden & that we are a better match for Alex.

YESSSS!!! Like all of a sudden she’s in love with Alex?? Tough shit babe!! And the audacity when she walked back in with someone on her arm!! If she had come back single and the game let her stay for whatever reason I could at least give her that! But she didn’t!!

They HATE those OG girls!! Also is it just me or would you have rather been in the villa with the OG girls over Bonnie and uma? Like don’t get me wrong I love them and they’ve been great, but with Geri and Willow saying goodbye I was kind of wishing we could’ve kept Willow over one of the casa girls. They both seemed to be entirely team MC vs team Estelle.

We should have been able to choose between Bonnie and Willow for the female LI route. Willow says that she is over Bryson and that she feels friend vibes with the other guys. She was ready to welcome the newbies. The mean girls storyline makes no sense for her.

Ahhh Willow was so nice on my playthrough! She unfortunately was sent home because Bryson brought back Uma. I think her nice vibes makes more sense with what we saw in the preview. Which is also why I don’t believe that preview was pre-planned. I fully believe they slapped it together and didn’t take into account the differences between routes. Because I actually do think Estelle being pissed at MC on my route makes sense. She seemed to be willing to give the casa boys a chance but it also seemed like she was still into Alex. When Geri and Willow didn’t twist in my playthrough I was SHOCKED!! I was def expecting at least one of them to twist! Willow was talking about giving the casa boys a shot, how much Bryson had hurt her, I just didn’t think that she would stick.

Imagine if Travis and Vicky are the new Elliot and Chloe and they also join forces with Avan and the OG girl to do an ON on MC's couple 😬. I mean that'd be tons of drama but I really don't want to be put in Hope's shoes where I'd need to fight for my couple against half the Villa 😭.

I think the difference here is that Noah actually liked MC and she was the only one that could’ve turned his head from Hope (on his route)

Alex isn’t into Estelle and he’s done a pretty good job of reassuring mc about it.

Avan always recouples with your LI's OG boy, he's the only CA boy brought back.

Soooooo lazyyy 😫 I wish they had given us different guys for different routes. Especially since it’s not that heavy of a lift it’s only one guy each time! They could’ve even made it easy for themselves and daphne could’ve brought back a guy just like Raf and everyone could’ve pointed that out. Geri could’ve brought back someone she had a more physical connection with. Since physical connection was something she spoke heavily about with Joyo and Willow could’ve brought back that babe she was kissing at Casa!! We wouldn’t have even needed to see them all each route but it would be so fun to replay and have those different experiences.

I don't buy this whole thing with her that all of a sudden she wants to explore her connection with Alex.
