2023 Cookie of the Year: Kingdom Edition
☁️ Heya! I’m sure you got the note my colleague Kit sent you and pinned at the top of the blog. She’ll be working her way into being part of our main contributor panel over the next couple months just as I and Strawberry Crepe Cookie have, which is how we ended up becoming frequent contributors on this blog. How she got into this is a long story, and one for another time. But moving on to the main topic here, it’s time to vote for 2023’s Cookie of the Year! In case you missed it last year like Vanilla Meringue Cookie (Your ACTUAL Editor, who also goes by Meringue) did, here’s how it works:
Every playable Cookie (minus the collaboration Cookies including Sonic, Tails, and BTS) in CRK will be split into a tournament bracket full of 1v1 matchups
In each matchup, pick the one you like more. There WILL be matchups where your vote will force you to choose favorites OVER your favorites.
Finalists will receive special prizes of all kinds which we don’t know yet!
Everyone might receive different matchups.
All times listed below are in KST (GMT+9)
R1: Update launch - 12/17, 11:59 AM (top 64 of 110 will advance)
R2: 12/17, 1 PM - 12/20, 11:59 AM (top 32 of 64 will advance, this is where the bracket goes to the real 1v1 situations where one goes home in each matchup)
R3: 12/20, 1 PM - 12/23, 11:59 AM (top 16 of 32 will advance)
R4: 12/23, 1 PM - 12/25, 11:59 AM (the top 6 of 16 will advance to the semifinals, more than half of the quarterfinalists will be eliminated)

I’d like to do a random Matchup.
I spend a lot of time alone in rooms because they are peaceful. I really like to drive for hours on end with my headphones in to listen to music. My whole job is in fact recommending books! Unfortunately as far as romance I don’t have a ton, and the two I’m reading right now aren’t out yet technically 😂 Its Secretly Yours by Tessa Bailey (which I’m holding off on because I actually want to write a Diluc thing based on the blurb first before I dive in), and Lunar Love by Lauren Kung Jessen. They’re cute so far, and definitely recommend looking out for them in January! At least I’m not holding one-sided grudges on the authors like I sometimes do. 🤣 Next on my list after those is getting back to Get a Life Chloe Brown by Talia Hibbert, which I loved but got interrupted on reading.

CANON-VERSE
you and moblit met when you were assigned to hange's squad. beforehand, you were in mike's squad but he noticed your talent not only in combat but in crafting. mike asked erwin if you can be placed into another squad, specifically hange's and he agreed since he thinks that you can be a help to the titan research. you were excited to be in a new squad and you didn't have any problem fitting in and bonding with your other squad members, especially hange. you quickly become best friends with your squad leader. you became so close that people started thinking that you both were the same person, just with different looks. with that, you also became friends with moblit.
he felt obligated to look after you and he didn't know why. maybe because you reminded him of hange? he had no idea but he just had to.
after weeks of being in the fourth squad, you became close friends with your comrades, especially moblit. when both of you had time outside training, research, expeditions, etc., you tried your best to hang out with each other.
because moblit is easily embarrassed, you teased him a lot and thankfully, he did not take any of it to heart. also, though your energy may fluctuate, he easily kept up with you since he was used to hange and all. plus, you're more tamed than them. when you're full of energy, he kept an eye on you to make sure that you're fine (saving you if anything bad happens) and if you're feeling chill, he held you and told you stories about his childhood, during his training corps days, the expeditions he's been on, hange's experiments (and near-death experiences with titans), and so on.
soon, your feelings for each other grew and your friendship turned into something more. moblit was the first one to catch feelings. he first noticed them when one day, you gave him a smile and thanked him for being there for you. moblit felt himself blush and his heart racing, and he made it his goal to help you keep that smile on your face always. one day, you kept staring at moblit and stealing glances at him. you didn't notice it at first but the others did and hange was the one to point it out to you. hange teased you that maybe you were catching feelings on her vice-captain. their words clouded your mind until the end of the day until you agreed with their comment.
you both tried to keep your relationship on the down-low but you liked to see moblit blush with your teasing. hange was the first one to notice the step in your relationship and was so happy for the both of you. they spotted you and moblit holding hands and being very close when they left to get some tea during one of those late nights where the three of you would work and research together on some of your findings of the titans. after that, they joined in your teasing which made moblit cover his face as he blushed even harder and internally groaned that both his girlfriend and squad leader made him embarrassed.
moblit protected you to the best of his abilities and although he did this, he didn't see you as weak, rather the opposite. he admired that you weren't afraid to show your feelings and it reminded him that you were only a human. you weren't used to it at first but moblit was there to hold you and reassure you that you're a wonderful person.
moblit would do anything for you yet he was new to this whole dating thing and was too sheepish to verbally tell you that he loves you, so instead, he showed his love through his actions. he gave you tea when you're tired or stayed up late helping hange with their work, gave you his cloak when you lost it during an expedition, cleaned your odm gear and washed your clothes after expeditions, gave you food when you felt hungry, helped you with your projects, and so on.
you and moblit had a very loving relationship and even after his death, moblit continued to look after you and watched as you lived out your life, patiently waiting for your long-awaited reunion.
MODERN AU
moblit organizes dates that are so romantic yet chill, his favorites being taking a hike that leads to a waterfall and showing you his favorite spots in town then going shopping that end with both of you sitting in the park, watching the stars.
he will also love everything that you love and because of his intelligence and knowledge, he'll tell you small little facts and trivia about your favorite things. he will go along with everything that you do and say, listening to you with a cute little smile on his face as you ramble about anything and everything that comes up into your mind.
when you feel like creating something, moblit would give you coffee or tea, food, and would give you a blanket when you fall asleep making it or carry you to the bed and tuck you in. he'll also be your little assistant and help you create it, handing you the necessary materials, rub your sore shoulders, and clean your little crafting station for you. when you abandon your project, moblit would gently take it and carefully store it somewhere safe in case you might want to continue it in the future.
moblit works during the day and with that, he'll be out the entire day and be back home in the evening. because of this, it makes him sad since he leaves you alone, so on mornings, he'll cook you breakfast and when he's coming home, he'll sometimes bring you food and/or the things you need for your upcoming project.
if he and hange have to go out of town for research, moblit never fails to leave behind something of his since he says that it'll help you, especially if you're missing him a lot more that day. he'll leave behind his favorite shirt, one of his hoodies, or a plushie. when he comes back, he'll give you little souvenirs that reminded him of you or that you might like, may it be something extraordinary and unique or something simple. he'll also bring a small trinket if he doesn't have the time to buy you food or materials, let it be something from his research with hange, his favorite pen, post-it notes with declarations of love for you, etc. you even have a box where you safe keep all of his little gifts.
author's note: is it obvious that i'm a mobuhan shipper ? ,,,,,, ANYWAYS this was one of the easiest match-ups i've ever written HAHAHAHA i powered through this in one sitting omg. now, lemme go to sleep since it's 2:30 am as i'm writing this 👍 ( idk why i write these after midnight HAHAHAH )
