OKAY SO------

The two theories i just told you about are actually intertwined in my version but to lay the groundwork I'll talk about the first theory which is Yuu being chernabog's vessel theory.

Okay so for starters Yuu is a separate entity from all the twst cast, not solely just because of the fact that they come from another world/dimension but because unlike the others Yuu is a blank slate. Emphasis on blank. They don't seem to have a will of their own---yes they do have some sort of background (if the vague american references and what not could even count as that) but not a fully fleshed personality. In fact Yuu seems.... like a puppet---a doll, empty. Which makes sense because Yuu is solely a self-indulgent character and yet in a story where its all about development Yuu is very out of place---ominous even, and the idea that mickey is sealed in ramshackle yet---he tries to reach Yuu says something to me. Especially with the idea that Ramshackle is chernabog's base.

So here's what I think---Yuu might have been chosen to go to twst specifically for their personality (or the lack thereof of said personality) because why them out of all the people in the world? If not for the fact that they would be the easiest to control? Because lets face it Yuu is easily influenced/controlled by outside forces which to be fair they have no choice but it makes even more sense when you think that way.

But where does Ace being a traitor play in all this? Well here it is folks. Ace is making sure Yuu doesn't realize their true purpose (essentially trapping them in twst bc i think that yuu can't leave w/o doing something...), as well as the fact that he is also making sure chernabog doesn't get to Yuu either. How?

Smoke and Mirrors. The trick of lying but not lying all the same---because is it really lying when there's truth despite the lies? At least in my spin on Ace being a traitor, Ace has already awoken his UM but is unknowing of it due to Crowley's meddling (the time loop). In a sense Ace is a traitor not only to his own role as a villain but also as a student of nrc but also to Yuu.

But thats my spin anyways what do you think?

I LOVE IT OMG???

I think of Yuu as someone who was specifically chosen as a conduit of sorts, like they might not have magic but others do despite being chosen in one of the most prestigious mage schools that literally chooses based off of magical aptitude somehow Yuu slipped through the cracks.

Somehow, Mickey is trapped in a mirror with no way out and is relying on dream sequences in order to push Yuu to stop the series of happenings going on in the school.

I'd like to think that Yuu, whether they know it or not, is on a tightrope between good and evil and with Chernabog's base being Ramshackle/Yuu/Grim it makes all the more sense why.

Because it's better to keep something so powerful sealed away but that doesn't mean it's area of influence has died yet.

And the thing with Ace's brother being named Jack of Hearts, with his lack of Unique Magic and how from Chap 5 and Chap 6 Ace has been on the low key lately,,,,,,

Not to mention the time loop, I def see Ace being the main contributors of the time loop simply because he doesn't want Yuu to leave/Grim is too formidable and Yuu continues to die every time Grim OBs,,,,

Not to mention that it's said he's the type to take other ppls tricks/talents, but what else could he take on? What of another character's role/place?

I know we're just talking about games but what about anime series?? I know these boys would love seinen/shounen i can just feel it in my damn bones

I would LOVE to but it has been literally nearly a decade since any anime sparked my interest, with Demon Slayer and Jujutsu Kaisen breaking that streak, and my most recent adoration of Spy x Family being the only current one I actively care about.

All other anime I've had any active interest in are roughly a decade old or older.

So I'm really not qualified to talk about the boys reacting to anime 🤣 you'd be more likely just handing me reccs that I may or may not ever look into.

genuinely surprised (positive) bc you like twewy bc same!!! am becoming a big fan of it i love the characters, such cringe little people but i love them for it. I just got into it recently so idk much about it but judging from what ur posting the neo ver(? is it a ver? actually or a dlc/spinoff???) the neo version seems to suck.

LMAOOOOO HEY im glad you like it too!! its an old old old game but its very important to teenager me, and i still think fondly of it even now. of course its cringe, teenagers tend to be cringe. but twewy doesnt dismiss teen angst as some hormonal thing that will magically go away when teens get older. twewy gives context to it, resolves it, and then shows growth. twewy is so gentle and earnest that way.

as for neo twewy, well. like i dont think its unplayable - the gameplay is fun, the art is great, the city is so fun to explore. but it doesnt have the same hook that twewy does. of course the best option is you trying it out yourself and see if you like it - dont just trust me on my words!!! the worst outcome is you'll hate it but even so you'll have someone to hate it with (me), so thats definitely not bad ❤️

me : so I have this idea with the first years in a band

This is all her fault and now everyone can reap the results of what we came up with together

I might actually make this into actual fic but if anyone wants to make their own than go wild

Basically my original idea was just the first years, including yuu, just randomly started a band together. Then the idea of them hiding their identity was pitched and now here is just the jumble of headcanons we came up with

okay so since we found out they can sing from VDC, im gonna be assuming that the rest of the first years (ie Jack and Sebek) can sing but then i started thinking of them as an actual band

sebek probably joined to impress malleus or something but ended up having fun and just stayed

considering the upbringing Sebek has, he probably has some proficiency with piano

ace and epel probably know how to play the guitar (ace had a guitar phase prove me wrong)

deuce has bassist vibes and jack on drums bc mmmmm jack on drums

we said yuu was the miku equivalent bc project sekai but lets not talk abt that

we liked to think that their singing voices would be different from their usual voices (epel doing deep vocals/screaming, sebek doing the softer vocals, jack having a raspy voice, etc etc)

then they go a step further to having a hidden identity with virtual avatars

like they can’t exactly say theyre 16 year olds from NRC for various reasons

so they went to, yes you guessed it, idia shroud

listen idia has been consuming this media for years so he knows what hes doing

so hes basically the manager at this point and does all technical stuff to it bc lets be honest who else is best to do this

this man is living his idol manager dreams and ortho is cheering him on

hes the one who creates the fanchant which both amazes and horrifies the firsy years

hes probably the one who gets the avatars at this point and gets everyones opinions on what they want but only to an extent bc no epel you wont be getting a buff avatar no matter how much you plead

Epel:nobody is going to know!!! Let me have this

Everyone else: Epel we’ve gone over this before. No.

adeuce has a matching aesthetic kind of thing bc idia knows that dynamic

jack and sebek have that well built but stoic looking disposition

yuu and epel are on the more subtle side of things

the lore is just retelling of all the things they went through at NRC

heartsabyul arc = war criminal ace and deuce with soldiers sebek and jack on the hunt but end up joining them

yuu and epel are just normal ppl who got caught in the crossfire

listen the first years were just joking around when they said they would do this but then yuu actually got idia to do this kind of thing and oh god what do you mean our video has a million views y u u

Ace:I can’t believe we actually did something like that

Deuce: Well, it’s not like it’ll be something that popular

Yuu, kicking the door down: OUR VIDEO GOT A MILLION VIEWS

Everyone else: haha....w h a t

Now if we talk abt reactions from the other students

Lilia and Rook know from the start lets be honest

these guys are hidden everywhere but theyre also agents of chaos so they don’t reveal anything

Cater and Vil are the first one to notice bc of course the social media savvy ones are the first ones to find out

vil is conflicted bc on one hand this is going against everything he has taught epel

but at the same time nobody is actually seeing and knowing its epel so his image isnt tarnished????

riddle be going through it bc he wants to keep up with trends how do u do fellow kids

so when he hears ace and deuce sing he just narrows his eyes and goes “wait a minute...”

azul wants to capitalize this opportunity but no u funky octopus the whole concept is to keep the identity a secret

he actually likes the music and died inside once he found out

listen if anyone sees the lore video and ppl at nrc find it eerily familiar to events and overblots that happened that shit is going to be suspicious and ppl will figure it out

Breaking news everyone! Cupid is in love with celebrity Neige LeBlache. There have been many suspicions, and we have finally gathered enough proof, with Cupid to announce their love for each other. okay but like if geto had been alive/did not go rogue do you think gojo's actions in canon would change?

(also i read your gojo meta posts and i def agree w your insights w gojo's lack of more straightforward action, he's so roundabout w how he helps that by the time the kids are strong enough to actually do something its too late (see the culling game, the zenin massacre, etc.) also with how closed off he is/unwilling to share his ideals to anyone else even his own students which makes me sad bc its obvious that this was an aftermath effect directly w his fallout w and eventually killing geto + him not properly processing any of it which would obv make him shut/keep everyone in a distance, his infinity quite becoming literal even with people he obv cares for)

I don't this his plan would change all that much --if at all-- but I do think the way he interacts and connects with others definitely would.

Personally, I think that Gojo is stuck in a once-bitten-twice-shy mentality, where he truly is scared of caring about another person in the way that he did Geto, but also in allowing someone to care for him in that way as well. Geto got to see him vulnerable, Geto got to guide his morality and question his actions in a way that we haven't seen from anyone else in the story. They went through profound trauma together, and while they may not have been there to pick up the pieces of each other that got left behind, they certainly had a bond that meant they would have if they thought the other needed it.

If Gojo hadn't gone through losing the moral and emotional foundation that Geto provided for him, if he hadn't gone through losing someone that he cared so much about and who clearly still cared for him despite everything; yes, I do think he'd have a healthier mentality toward allowing himself to rely on and open up to others. There's genuinely so much of his current self that I think would change if things had worked out differently with Geto.

I think we'd still have a Gojo with low empathy and a cocky-personality --that's just the core of who he is-- but I don't think he'd keep everything so close to his chest. I don't think he'd hide his true feelings quite as much or keep others at an emotional distance like we've seen. Would it change everything? No, because he'll always be on a pedestal, disconnected from others simply because of who he is, but I think that that distance and isolation would be far less extreme than it currently is.

Also, I think it would be good for he and Geto to both still have each other, to know that the other was there, even if they don't necessarily relearn how to rely on each other.

I'd like to reiterate that I love the theory of Yuu and Grim sharing a base with Chernabog, a being considered to be the embodiment of all evil where Maleficent and the Cauldron King come second and third in regards to him.

Because he's so elusive and because he possibly could share a base with Crowley to have Grim, said to be part of both a demon and ancient beast and Yuu, a person yanked from their world for an unknown purpose I can definitely see the allusions just brewing.

You know what would actually be funny???? The boys playing dark souls or bloodborne or Neir Automata. Idia and Lilia are having the time of their lives while the rest are collectively trying not to murder each other, themselves, and the game (bc who the hell made this game so fcking hard???) Ortho, Riddle, and Malleus and the others are in the background arguing about the lore while Yuu is just cackling through it all as they go through the game find the endings and secrets. On a side note though the Neir Automata true ending broke me... And I think it would too for the boys KJSHDKHSDJHSDF.

Any of either the Souls games or the Nier/Drakengard games would break these boys in different ways. Souls for the difficulty, and Nier with the sheer amount of lore and endings.

Also pain. In every form. (MIYAZAKI TURN ON YOUR LOCATION. WE JUST WANNA TALK ABOUT ALL OF THE POISON LEVELS. :) )

Yuu also specifically has to show the boys the absolute bullshit that is Drakengard 1's Ending E and its callback in 3's Ending D.

At least the music is absolute fire. It's the one thing all of them agree on.
