I think the most ironic thing about how Alicent’s motherhood gets used against her is that the logic that everything wrong with the targtowers is somehow her fault, completely goes out of the window when people talk about Rhaenyra’s parenting. Everything they do is a reflection of how terrible, awful, and disgusting Alicent is as a mother. But jace and luke’s behavior/actions somehow aren’t reflections of the pitfalls Rhaenyra has as a mother.

Aegon being a rapist is just Alicent fault. Aemond’s anger and resentment is just Alicent’s fault (some people even blame Alicent for him losing his eye yes I’ve seen it). Helaena’s adversion to touch (despite the fact it’s clear phia made an acting choice to play Helaena as neurodivergent plus we literally get scenes of Helaena letting Alicent touch her) is all Alicent’s fault. The rotting, neglectful rapist they all have for a father has absolutely nothing to do with that. And then the goalpost moving. If Alicent doesn’t admonish and totally hate Aegon for being said rapist, she’s a rape apologist who doesn’t want any woman to have rights (a crazy thing to say about a literal victim of rape herself btw). But if she slaps him, she’s an abusive cunt.

But jace and luke, more specifically luke, having no regard nor remorse for bullying then disabling someone is *check notes* seen as cute and normal??? It is apparently not Rhaenyra using the same tactics her father did. So much guilt about the position you have put your children in that in response you will just let them do whatever. This sort of perpetual cycle of gaslighting and withholding information being painted noble or nurturing.

Then when you bring up that argument of how Rhaenyra puts her kids in danger just by having them (much like how people say the same about Alicent despite that not even being her choice), you get hit back with ‘so you wanted her rape her gay husband’ which is like ??? how did you get there lmao. It’s wild, but completely on brand for a fandom that picks and chooses based on who they like, that people can emphathize with the position Rhaenyra was put in because of her gender. But the child bride who literally just has her children to cling to is the worst mother to ever mother.

The sooner people realize that Alicent and Rhaenyra are working up the same rigid rules and crushing pathology of patriarchy, the better off we will all be. The only difference is the way they push back against those structures. Someone like Rhaenyra, a dragon riding princess, can maneuver very differently compared to someone like Alicent. Both are going to fuck up and make decisions that put people in danger/hurt people’s feelings bc they are playing a game that has been rigged for them to lose. So why are the blonde ones allowed more grace than everyone else 🫤

one. luke and sophia

October 21, 2022

Maddox walked out of the locker room running a hand through his dripping wet hair, he saw Luke and Sophia outside waiting for him.

“Maddi!” Luke happily grinned seeing his brother for the first time in almost a month.

Maddox quickly walked to his brother pulling him into a hug, “Hi Moose.” Maddox smiled slighty before they pulled away, he looked towards his best friend, “Phia.” Sophia grinned pulling her best friend into a tight hug having missed him.

“Hi Maddi.” Sophia smiled at him before they pulled away, Sophia leaned her head on her boyfriend’s arm and held his hand, “So what do you want for dinner?”

“You guys pick i don’t care.” Maddox just shrugged happy to be seeing two of his favorite people.

“Alright.” Luke nodded and the three got into Luke’s car and Luke drove them to a little dinner place.

The three got seated in a booth in the restaurant and started looking at the menu.

“You had a good game.” Luke commented to his brother, Maddox having had two assists and a goal, the blackhawks winning 4-3.

“Yeah i was alright.” Maddox just shrugged off the compliment, Sophia smiled shaking her head knowing Maddox hates compliments.

The three ordered their food and started catching up while they waited.

Maddox anxiously twisted his ring around his finger and his leg wouldn’t stop bouncing, he knew he wanted to tell his family and he knew Sophia and Luke were the safest option, he took a deep breath before blurting out the words he has never said outside to anyone before, “I’m Bi.”

Sophia and Luke shared a soft look.

“I know bud.” Luke smiled comforting at his older brother and best friend.

“What?” Maddox eyes widen in shock as he looked at his smiling brother.

“Maddi you made out with a guy after one of our tournaments.” Luke deadpanned with a fond smile.

“Why didn’t you say anything.” Maddox questioned playing with his fingers.

“Because i wanted to wait until you were comfortable of coming out to me.” Luke reached across the table and grabbed Maddox’s hand, “I’m proud of you and you are always my brother.” Luke proudly smiled at Maddox.

Maddox had no idea how much he needed to hear those words.

He looked over at Sophia who was watching her two boys with a fond smile, “Oh i knew too.” Sophia grinned at Maddox, Maddox just fondly shook his head at her, “What i’m your bestfriend of course i knew.” Sophia shrugged having known for along time, “But i’m proud of you.” Sophia squeezed Maddox’s arm gently looking at him proudly.

“Thank you.” Maddox choked out feeling touched for getting so much support from the two.

two. quinn

January 24, 2023

Maddox was texting on his phone in the hotel lobby when he got a text from Quinn, he stood up putting his phone into his pocket and walked out into the cold Vancouver weather seeing Quinn waiting in his car.

“Hi Mads.” Quinn fondly smiled seeing his little brother, Maddox smiled and let Quinn hug him over the center console.

Maddox and Quinn were both more quiet of people and honestly like silence a lot more than talking so they sat in comfortable silence until Quinn pulled into his apartment building parking garage.

Maddox and Quinn walked up to Quinn’s apartment and they both hoped onto Quinn’s couch, Quinn handed the controller to his brother as he turned on the TV and game system.

After they played a few rounds Quinn looked over at his little brother seeing his anxious ticks and had a feeling Maddox needed to say something.

Quinn paused the game and set his controller down, “Alright spill.”

“What?” Maddox looked up from the controller and towards Quinn.

“Tell me, you have something to say.” Quinn raised an eyebrow at Maddox.

Maddox let out a nervous breath and nodded knowing he does have something to tell Quinn, Maddox planned to tell Quinn when he came out to Vancouver for the Blackhawks at Canucks game.

“I’m bi.” Maddox mummled out not wanting to look at Quinn when he told him.

Quinn nodded slowly always having a feeling and saw some signs but wanted to wait till Maddox was comfortable.

Quinn wrapped an arm around Maddox’s shoulder and pressed a kiss to the top of his fluffy hair, “Thank you for telling me.”

Maddox’s head shot up shocked, “Your not disgustied?” Maddox honestly was the most worried about Quinn and Jack finding out about his sexuality and not Luke.

“Maddi your my brother, i love you no matter what there’s nothing you could do to change that.” Quinn held Maddox’s face in his hands.

“Oh.” Maddox whispered out, He just burried his head into Quinn’s chest and felt protected in his brother’s arms.

Quinn frowned having a feeling that’s something happen that made Maddox believe that he would think he is disgusted and when Quinn is going to find out who thought they could hurt his brother and get away with it.

February 27, 2023

Maddox was laying on his back on the hotel bed next to Alex, they had just played their game againt the Ducks and had lost.

Maddox and Alex are always roommates on roadies and they usually end up watching a movie or show together.

Maddox looked a the ceiling before blurting out, “I’m bi.” Maddox tightly closed his eyes nervously.

Alex just nodded not even looking awya from the TV, “Ok.”

“Ok?” Maddox repeated confused, his eyes shot open and he turned on to side facing Alex.

Alex fondly rolled his eyes pausing the movie, “Dude i’ve seen you mack on a guy before, i’ve know for a while.”

“I know.” Maddox nodded having known Alex knew, “I was coming out to you, you dickhead” Maddox fondly rolled his eyes.

Alex made a face, “Oh, Well i’m proud of you for coming out.” Alex patted his best friend’s shoulder, “Now can we keep watching the movie.”

“Ass.” Maddox fondly chuckled shoving Alex.

“Bud? What’s wrong?” Maddox frowned in concern as he opened his front door hearing a knock, seeing Connor standing there with the saddest look on his face and tears in his eyes.

“I-“ Connor chocked out breathing heavily and just into forwards into Maddox’s comforting arms, Maddox frowned and wrapped his arms around around Connor gently rubbing his back as he walked them backward and closed his front door.

Maddox kept Connor in his arms leading them to his living room, Maddox sat down on his couch and Connor sat next to him hiding his face in Maddox’s chest.

“Do you want to talk about it?” Maddox quietly asked running his hands through Connor’s hair knowing it calms him down.

Connor took a deep breath and blurted out, “I think i’m gay.” Connor waited anxiously for Maddox to say anything. Connor was scared and Maddox always feels the safest.

“I’m so proud of you for telling me.” Maddox wrapped his arms around him tightly pressing a kiss to his head, Connor let out a sob of relief and couldn’t help but cry. Maddox frowned knowing exactly how he is feeling right now.

“I’m bi.” Maddox told Connor once Connor calmed down.

“You are?” Connor looked up at Maddox with his puppy eyes.

“I am, and i understand how scared you’rere feeling right now, but i promise i’m always on your side okay buddy.” Maddox promised him, Connor smiled softly not knowing how he would have made it through the last few years with Maddox being there for him always.

“Thank you for always being there for me.” Connor mumbled hiding his face back into Maddox’s chest.

“Always bud, Always.” Maddox held Connor until Maddox looked down hearing little snores and saw him fast asleep.

December 22, 2023

Maddox walked in the kitchen of his parents house and saw his mom in the kitchen, “Mom, i uh was wondering if we could go out just us today.” Maddox had his hands behind his back anxiously fidgeting.

Ellen looked up seeing Maddox looking tense and frowned slighty, “Of course Maddi. Would you like to go now?” Ellen smiled softly at her boy.

“Sure, Coffee?” Maddox mischievously smiled knowing he got his love for coffee from his mother.

“Of course.” Ellen replied having alreadly planned to go get coffee with Maddox today, loving when her boys are home but it’s always nice to have someone who loves getting coffee to go with her.

Ellen knew all of boys like the back of her hand and she could tell Maddox wanted to tell her something. She drove them to their favorite coffee shop in Michigan and drove them through the drive thru.

Ellen ordered their coffee before pulling up and paying at the window and getting handed the coffee’s, she handed Maddox his and held her as she parked them into the parking lot.

“Got something you wanna talk about Maddi?” Ellen questioned softly looking over at her son seeing him look nervous.

Maddox took a deep breath and looked at his mom, “I’m bi.” Maddox clenched his eyes not wanting to see her face when he tells her.

Ellen proudly smiled at her sun and she gently cupped his face, “Maddy look at me.” Maddox slowly opened his eyes and saw his mother still looking at him the exact same.

Maddox’s looked shocked, “Your not disappointed?”

“Maddox Hughes, i could never be disappointed in you.” Ellen sternly spoke looking directly at her son, “And it was kinda obvious with how you act around Trevor.” She gave him a knowing smile and glance making him blush and look away.

June 15 2024

Maddox and Trevor both got to the lake house late last night having both been busy since the end of the season.

Maddox had to spend a week doing some captain stuff at the end of the season so Trevor left to LA to visit his friends and Jamie was joining him as well and to also pack up or get rid of the rest of the stuff at his Condo in LA. Maddox then went to watch some of Quinn’s playoff games and spend that time with his parents and Quinn before he headed out on a vacation catching up with his old teammates and their families from Tampa bay.

Jack also spent some time out in the Jersey Shore with his friends while Luke went to Michigan to see his friends and girlfriend and Quinn was in the playoffs.

Now all of the Hughes brothers got to the lake house the last few days. Maddox knew it was only a matter of time before all of the friends and teammates came over so he knew that he wanted to tell his brothers and best friend quickly about Trevor and him.

Luckily for Trevor and Maddox everyone was too tired to even notice that Trevor went with Maddox into Maddox’s instead of his normal guest room.

Trevor woke up looking down at his chest seeing Maddox peacefully sleeping on his arw chest, Trevor hummed contently and he could tell everyone else were still asleep besides Quinn.

Trevor hoped that everything went well with them telling everyone today.

Trevor eventually got Maddox out bed and Trevor headed down stairs before Maddox and saw Quinn cooking breakfast and Sophia eating with Luke resting his head on her arm looking like he was going to fall asleep again and Jack texting on his phone.

“What’s for breakfast Quinner!” Trevor grinned happily knowing it will get on Quinn’s nerves.

“Food.” Quinn deadpanned with a small smirk as he scooped some of the eggs onto a plate for Trevor and handed it to him.

Maddox came down a few minutes later looking like a zombie still half asleep as he stumbled straight to the coffee machine and quickly started drinking the black coffee he poured into his mug. Trevor fondly shook his head.

Maddox just shoved the food into his mouth as he was on his second cup of coffee.

Everyone else was just finished eating, Trevor looked over at Maddox giving him a look and Maddox nodded.

Trevor hopped up, “Jacky Boy, can i talk to you?” Trevor questioned as he gestured to the outside.

“Yeah sure man?” Jack answered following him outside.

“What’s that about?” Luke noisily questioned looking a Maddox for an answer.

“He’s telling Jack we are dating.” Maddox blunty told them drinking his coffee.

Sophia squealed, “Oh my god!! Finally!!!!” She hurried up and hugged Maddox.

“Thanks Phi.” Maddox mumbled to his best friend.

“Huh, took you long enough.” Luke shrugged not suprised they are together especially because Trevor has obviously been in love with Maddox for a long time.

“Out of anyone it had to be Trevor.” Quinn groaned teasing his brother.

“I know.” Maddox quipped back.

“Why is Trevor telling Jack?” Sophia questioned, wondering why Maddox or Trevor didn’t just tell them all together.

Maddox kind of froze up setting his coffee cup down, “I uh didn’t want to be the one to tell Jack.”

Quinn, Luke and Sophia shared a concerned look.

“Why not?” Quinn gently asked.

Maddox just shrugged, “We should make sure they aren’t killing each other out there.” Maddox weakly avoided the question and started walking to the backyard and the three followed him.

Jack and Trevor would outside, “Why’d we go outside Z?”

“I’m dating someone.” Trevor told him.

Jack eyes widen and he nodded, “Woah that’s great Z! How long?”

“Three months.” Trevor answered shortly.

“Three?!” Jack looked shocked knowing Trevor never has relationships that long.

“Look i’m dating a guy and i’m Bi, and if you have a problem with that.” Trevor coldly spoke to someone he once considered a best friend.

“What! No! Of course not!” Jack denied quickly he would never have a problem with that.

“I’m dating Maddox.” Trevor told him.

Jack opened his mouth in shock, “Maddi? My brother?” Jack looked incredibly shocked not thinking his brother is Bi or Gay.

“Yes.” Trevor curtly told Jack.

The two didn’t realize that the others had just walked into the back porch.

“He didn’t tell me?” Jack looked hurt, Maddox and him use to tell each other everything.

“And why do you think that is?” Trevor sarcastically asked crossing his arms over his chest.

“What Why?” Jack stammered out.

Quinn titled his head as he watched the two, he didn’t know there was a reason Maddox didn’t tell Jack because he thought Maddox did tell him.

“Do you remember what you said about him.” Trevor coldly questioned glaring at Jack, Jack frantically shook his head.

Luke and Quinn shared a look not liking where this is going. They never knew Jack has said something about Maddox.

“You said that he would never be gay, he isn’t. Hughes aren’t like that and Maddox would never be with a guy especially Z.” Trevor quoted exactly what Maddox told him.

Jack’s eyes widen and his face paled as he remembered when he said that, “I was drunk!” Jack protested quickly, Jack didn’t even think Maddox heard his words.

Quinn and Luke both look extremely angry as they now realized why Maddox didn’t come out to them for so long and why he was so scared.

Sophia felt her heart break knowing that Jack might not have meant the words but they definitely meant a lot to Maddox hearing them.

“You were but the words you said to Maddox wasn’t correct, do you even know how much they impacted him, you made him scared to come out to his own family.” Trevor sneered feeling his jaw shaking with emotion.

Maddox looked down at the floor, Quinn clenched his jaw shaking his head and wrapped his arm around his brother.

“I-“ Jack was wide eyed as he realized how his actions affected his little brother, Jack knew over the years that Maddox and him have not been at close and Jack just assumed it was because they lived so far away from each other but now he’s realizing it’s because he hurt his little brother.

“I don’t care if he is gay or bi, he’s my little brother. I really didn’t want him to be thinking about his sexuality when he was about to be drafted to the NHL because i knew it would be harder for him.” Jack admitted he didn’t want his brother to have to hide, “I love him no matter what and i’m glad that he has you.” Jack saw a new side of his best friend and he knew Trevor was good for Maddox.

Trevor nodded and turned away and walked back up to the pouch because he knew the others had walked outside, Trevor saw Maddox looking overwhelmed and wrapped his arm around him and started walking inside with him and Trevor nodded at the thankful look that Quinn gave him.

Jack watched the two with guilt and regret all over his face, Quinn and Luke looked at him with anger and disappointment. Sophia shook her head and headed inside.

#8'S LOVE STORY | goshiki tsutomu

prompt: "i can't get over how a few months ago, i wanted to learn your name, and now you're having breakfast with me in my sweater."

content: (🦷) tooth-rotting fluff, goshiki gushing over you and perhaps getting distracted during practice while thinking about you, you're his upperclassmen (second year), tendō is a wingman and brownie enthusiast, you like baking, quite long.

⚠ warning/s: none.

note: gosh this was so fun to write that it became a one-shot instead of a drabble. i've never gotten a goshiki request so this was a good challenge for me. i really hope that i got him and the rest of shiratorizawa's personalities right! TYSM AND ILY HIKARIII ENJOY READING GIRL!!! :D

"her name.. what's her name?!" goshiki tsutomu mentally groaned with furrowed brows, peeking out from his classroom door to look at you, his beautiful upperclassmen. you were a responsible girl who did everything at your own pace, hence the clipboard in your hands to check your schedule for the day. if the student council of shiratorizawa accepted second years, you definitely would've at least been the secretary.

goshiki heard your name once from a few of your friends, but he.. just can't remember!

so here he is, irritatedly sipping on his juice box while staring you down. although not on purpose, of course.

"what's up, goshiki! what are we lookin' at?" tendō appears out of nowhere, accidentally spooking the poor wing spiker. goshiki turns his head to look over his shoulder, "huh?! tendō, what are you doing here?! aren't the third year's classrooms all the way on the third floor?"

"what a smart little cookie you are!" tendō ruffled goshiki's hair. "well, y'know how shiratorizawa's annual bake sale is coming up? i'm trying to find y/n because i heard that she's handling the preparations this year. i wanna see if i can get some of her famous two-bite brownies in advance before they sell out again!" tendō hisses at the bitter memory.

tendō can still recall the stinging feeling of how he wasn't able to purchase last year's batch because a volleyball game overlapped on the same day as the sale, so by the time the team got back to shiratorizawa, all of the brownies were gone.

and, hold on..

"y/n!" goshiki rejoices as he was finally able to recollect your name, all thanks to tendō. "yes?" you ask, looking at goshiki with a confused look.

goshiki turns red. "n- nothing!" i forgot that she was in the same hallway!

something in tendō sparks, and he suddenly has the urge to help his underclassmen's love life. he can bring up the brownie topic with you later..

"hey, n/n! what do you think of our up-and-coming ace here? ain't he a real firecracker?" tendō suddenly compliments goshiki, even wrapping his long arm around the young boy's shoulder. goshiki widens his eyes, already wanting to hear more. "hm? oh, i haven't seen him play yet," and just like that, goshiki's ego has been cracked and bruised.

"but i'd love to be invited to the next game if that's okay with you, goshiki." you smile a pearly one at him, and goshiki's mood is turned right back around. "yes! please come, y/n! i won't disappoint you!" he exclaims.

you giggled it off and soon excuse yourself from the two.

"what a cute boy!" you thought with a faint blush on your cheeks.

goshiki looks at tendō, utterly speechless to the core, while the middle blocker only dusts his hands off as if he's just finished some heavy labor. "what can i say! i may not be the first to get married from our team, but i can be a good matchmaker!"

goshiki has never had more respect for tendō than he has right now.

time skip.

"oi! stop standing around like that, number eight! you look like a lost kid at the mall!" coach washijo scolded goshiki, who flinched. i was spacing out again! "s- sorry, coach!"

reon comes up to tendō and shirabu, "what's up with him?" he asks. shirabu sighs, "i don't know. but if he continues to do this, then he'll just drag the whole team down."

"oh, poor little shirabu! i can tell you what's going on in goshiki's head," tendō says, "our future ace has a crush on the sweet and classy y/n!"

"that doesn't matter. can't he just leave his personal feelings out of practice? prelims are around the corner, after all." shirabu stated factually. "it's not like you're capable enough to have crushes anyway, so the least you could do is cut goshiki some slack." semi poked fun at shirabu, as the older setter just so happened to overhear the conversation from a few feet away.

"what did you say?" a visible vein forms on shirabu's forehead.

tendō turns to reon while shirabu and semi bicker, "anyway, the kid is all worried about the upcoming game because y/n is coming to see him play for the first time." tendō whispers. "you think he'll be alright?"

reon looks at goshiki, who's physically trembling. there's even a gloomy aura around him practically screaming, "don't screw this up, don't screw this up, don't screw this up."

just in good timing, ushijima places his palm on goshiki's shoulder. "rest, goshiki. you need to be in good shape to practice." he states. "yeah, exactly! aren't you gonna be ushiwaka's successor? what'll y/n think when she sees you all shaken up on the court!" tendō exclaims.

ushiwaka's.. successor.. y/n..

goshiki's aura quickly shifts into one of fiery determination, ready to take on anything and everything. "you're right, tendō! i'll do my best!"

"it's really easy to get this kid going, huh.." the team thought simultaneously, sweat dropping in the process.

time skip.

it's the day of the prelims, and shiratorizawa was up against ohgiminami high. they're not a powerhouse that goshiki was familiar of, but then again, they're not be underestimated.

the starting line-ups are on court, and there goshiki was standing, being the only first year. that was something you noticed from the stands.

"he must be really talented to have been able to get that far.. i heard that coach washijo is tough on the volleyball club too." you thought.

the coin is flipped and shiratorizawa ends up serving first. ushijima hits the ball and there we go, a service ace. you're impressed to have seen the ball fly by that fast, but then again, it's ushijima. "if i tried receiving that, my arms would fall right off.."

goshiki sees your amused face from the stands, and he huffs. "wait until you see me score a point, y/n!"

a few rounds later, and the rotation is in goshiki's favor. he's up front. he can do a line shot, a move that he specializes in.

"make it a good one, goshiki!" tendō encourages the boy as shirabu sets the ball cleanly toward goshiki. even though he has two blockers against him, he was still able to make a beautiful line shot that granted shiratorizawa another point.

"what was that?!" you were shocked, to say the least. "tendō wasn't kidding when he said he'd be the up-and-coming ace.." you quietly mutter, referring to goshiki.

you watched the way that goshiki shortly celebrated on the court with each of his teammates giving him some heavy pats on the back. the moment was adorable.

goshiki looked up to see you smiling fondly at him. you send him a wave, and he shoots back a smile full of pride; a smile that says, "look at me, y/n! aren't i amazing?"

and only if you knew what it conveyed, you would've replied with a, "yes, goshiki. very."

time skip.

you yawn, clearly drowsy from the lack of sleep. on the table in front of you, was a nice breakfast whipped up by shiratorizawa's patient cooks; one omurice, a small bowl of grapes, and a cup of milk. but besides what was on the table, was what was across from you; goshiki tsutomu, your boyfriend.

it was a cold morning in japan, for spring had finally started. so here you are, all bundled up in goshiki's volleyball jersey.

he's seen smiling at you, and you tilt your head. "what's on your mind, tomu?"

"nothing, it's just.. i can't really get over how a few months ago, i wanted to learn your name, and now you're having breakfast with me in my jersey." goshiki says, "honestly, if it weren't for tendō, i probably wouldn't even be with you right now."

you perk a brow. goshiki panics, "d- don't tell him i said that though!"

You talk a lot about the HOTD actors misbehaving on set but especially focus on Oliva, Emma, Phia, Paddy and Rhys. Do you know how Fabien, Ewan, Tom and Matt behaved on set? I'm curious to know about the inside and stuff of the show.

It also strikes me as weird for Rhys to be cast in such a role because everyone always says everything in him is funny so I would thought they would have looked for a more settled character (I ended up liking him as Otto though, but I thought it was a bit weird)

Usually when I talk about the actors that are the exception, I talk about Frankle, Mitchel, and Glynn-Carney.

I'm not saying they didn't fuck around on set, but I've never heard anyone say a bad thing about them. They all seemed to have taken the job and their characters seriously. Yeah, I'm sure they goofed around on set - who doesn't when everything is hurry up and wait - but the point is that they seemed to care, and when it was go time, they were professional and really into their job.

I'll always point out the difference between Ewan Mitchell and Tom Glynn-Carney vs. Olivia Cooke and Emma D'arcy.

In the 1x09 documentary, Mitchell and Glynne-Carney had an entire segment where they got deep into their characters and so embodied them that they made up little brotherly chorography of biting and tickling one another to show a closeness.

However, when Olivia Cooke and Emma D'arcy are interviewed they talk more about the social and political commentary of their characters as vessels of the message, or they simply make things up that have no baring on the character - like Alicent being secretly a Lesbian or Rhaenyra being "Gender-Fluid".

Mitchell and Glynn-Carney took two characters, deep dived into who they were, and built upon that to make them real people. Cooke and D'arcy took two characters and tried to fundamentally change them to fit what they wanted to play for their own mercenary ambitions.

Now you tell me who are the real actors and who are the narcissists?

I've also never heard a bad thing said of Matt Smith. I'm not gonna lie, after the stuff that Lily James accused him of, I will always be suspicious of him - though I'll admit that I'm always bias toward Lily James. But from what I've heard, Matt Smith tried to take a leadership role in production and bring order when it seemed that Sapochnik wouldn't. He also cared, and made suggestion and took point when things could've been a lot worse to make them better. I don't think anyone could claim that Matt Smith isn't a very talented actor. And when you watch the behind the scenes stuff, you can clearly see him taking charge in a good way and actively caring about the project when it seemed that a lot of people around him didn't.

Rhys Ifans is a really funny mutha'fucker and he is a really talented actor - I love him as Curt Connors and as Nigel in "The Replacements'. However, you need to have someone to balance that energy out. And that's the problem with a lot of producers and projects today. Everyone idolizes comedians, cause, every asshole these days thinks they're so witty and fucking funny. So they jump at the chance to have comedic actors in their projects. But they're a utility, not your main stay. You have to have someone that is funny but also knows when to pick their spots and takes things seriously.

On "Game of Thrones" both Peter Dinkledge and Conleth Hill were comedic actors, but they were also classically trained enough to respect the gravity of the world they're playing in. They played subtle comedy and didn't over sell it. The problem is that Sapochnik wanted that same thing that he got in "Game of Thrones" but he didn't respect the professionalism and maturity that came with Dingledge and Hill. He just thought any old comedic actor would do, he just wanted funny men that he liked. Thus, when Ifans and Paddy showed up, they did what they do best ... but there was no one else to off-set their energy. Therefore their bad habits dominated the set and encouraged bad behavior from the younger actors.

I don't blame Ifans and Paddy, like I said, they're gonna do what they do. I blame Sapochnik for his childish finger painting understanding of how leadership in a production works. He seemed to think that years of continuity, chemistry, and talent from "Game of Thrones" could be replicated by him, because, he was the genius behind it all.

Now, HOTD is suffering because they didn't put any respect on the name of the production and crew of "Game of Thrones" that made it so effortless that a bunch of mids and mediocre talent thought they could just replicate it without any trouble.

Every Dragon in Game of Thrones: House of the Dragon

House of the Dragon will depict dragons wielded as both protectors of various Targaryen factions but also as almighty weapons wielded in a war dubbed the Dance of the Dragons, a years-long campaign for succession among the various Targaryen claimants to the Iron Throne – a war that will prove tragic for all involved, human and dragon alike.

The following is a list of all the dragons that appeared during the Dance of the Dragons. Some have already debuted on House of the Dragon, while many others aren’t expected to appear for several more seasons due to the significant passages of time chronicled in Fire & Blood.

1.Balerion the Black Dread

The largest and eldest of all the Targaryen dragons, Balerion was flown by Aegon the Conqueror and later became the steed of King Viserys I. The black and red mal dragon has died by the time House of the Dragon begins, but his massive skull can be seen on display at the Red Keep.

2.Caraxes

Dubbed the Blood Wyrm, this huge, red, and horned beast is the steed of Prince Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith) and is as fearsome and vicious as his rider.

3.Syrax

As described in George R.R. Martin’s official companion book The World of Ice & Fire: The Untold History of Westeros and the Game of Thrones, the yellowish Syrax is the “huge and formidable” female steed of Princess Rhaenyra (portrayed in House of the Dragon by Milly Alcock as a youth and Emma D’Arcy as an adult).

4.Meleys

“The Red Queen” is the steed of The Queen Who Never Was, Princess Rhaenys (played in House of the Dragon by Eve Best). Meleys is described in The World of Ice & Fire as “old and cunning, lazy, but fearsome when roused.”

5.Sunfyre

With his golden scales and flame, it’s no wonder this huge and formidable male dragon is dubbed “Sunfyre the Golden.” He is the steed of Aegon II Targaryen (who will be played in House of the Dragon as an adult by Tom Glynn-Carney and as a youth by Ty Tennant).

6.Seasmoke

This grey and white dragon is still relatively young during the Dance of Dragons, during which it bonds with Ser Laenor Velaryon (played on House of the Dragon as a teen by Theo Nate and then as an adult by John Macmillan).

7.Arrax

Said to be five times smaller than Vhagar, this young male dragon is the steed of Prince Lucerys Velaryon (to be played by Elliot Grihault as an adult and Harvey Sadler as a youth in House of the Dragon).

8.Dreamfyre

This silver and blue she-dragon has been the steed of both Princess Rhaena Targaryen (daughter of Aenys I) and Queen Helaena Targaryen at different times. Helaena will be played by Phia Saban as an adult and Evie Allen as a youth in House of the Dragon.

9.Tyraxes, Morghul and Shrykos

The steed of dragonrider Prince Joffrey Velaryon, Tyraxes was not as big as Vermax and Arrax. The role of Joffrey has not yet been cast in House of the Dragon.

Morghul is a young dragon is bound to Princess Jaehaera Targaryen, a role that’s yet to be cast in House of the Dragon.

Shrykos is a she-dragon is bound to Prince Jaehaerys Targaryen (Aegon II”s son), a role that hasn’t been cast yet in House of the Dragon.

10.Tessarion

“The Blue Queen” is the steed of Prince Daeron Targaryen, a role that has yet to be cast in House of the Dragon. This she-dragon, who breathes blue flame, is said to be younger than Dreamfyre, Sunfyre, and Vhagar.

11.Moondancer

Dubbed by The World of Ice & Fire as a “slender and beautiful” female dragon, she is the small but swift steed of Lady Baela Targaryen (who will be portrayed in House of the Dragon by actors Shani Smethurst and Bethany Antonia as the younger and adult Baela, respectively).

12.Vermax, Morning and Stormcloud

The young male dragon Vermax is the steed of Prince Jacaerys Velaryon (to be portrayed on the HBO series by Harry Collett as an adult and Leo Hart as a youth).

The she-dragon Morning, the offspring of Syrax, is hatched during the Dance of the Dragons. Morning has pink scales and black horns and is the steed of Lady Rhaena Targaryen (to be played in House of the Dragon by Phoebe Campbell as an adult and by Eva Ossei-Gerning as a youth).

The young male dragon Stormcloud won’t factor into House of the Dragon until later in the series, during which time it will be the steed of Aegon the Younger.

13.Vermithor

“The Bronze Fury,” the third largest dragon, is described in The World of Ice & Fire as “old and hoary.” This male dragon was once the steed of Jaehaerys I Targaryen, aka the Old King.

14.Vhagar

The second largest dragon of the Targaryens, Vhagar is an ancient female dragon and the last of those flown during Aegon’s conquest, when she served as the steed of Queen Visenya Targaryen. Together, they burned the Arryn fleet in the waters off Gulltown. Vhagar was named in honor of a god of Old Valyria, and will factor into later developments in House of the Dragon.

15.Silverwing

Once ridden by Queen Alysanne Targaryen, this she-dragon will later become the steed of Ulf the White, a “dragonseed” character yet to be introduced in House of the Dragon.

16.Sheepstealer, The Cannibal and Grey Ghost

The “brown and plain” wild dragon Sheepstealer is tamed by, as The World of Ice & Fire describes her, a “plain, baseborn and disreputable girl” named Nettles, who feeds the dragon mutton to win it over. Nettles has yet to be introduced in House of the Dragon.

The Cannibal is another beast yet to be introduced in House of the Dragon. This wild dragon is known in Fire & Blood for never having been tamed let alone ridden – and for eating other dragons, hence his name. Legend has it that it’s lurked on Dragonstone since before the arrival of the Targaryens.

Like The Cannibal, the Grey Ghost is another wild dragon who was never tamed or ridden and has to appear in House of the Dragon. It is said to have feasted on fish rather than people.

I replayed Star Ocean First Departure R and it was amazing!

Game: Star Ocean First Departure R First Time/Replaying: Replaying Game Time: 24 hours Console: PS4 Started: October 30, 2023 Finished: November 11, 2023

I first played this game last year (funnily enough, also in November) and I loved it. I decided to replay it and I had even MORE fun this second time around! I knew it was a great game, but I didn't really know how replayable it was until I started it anew. The fact that you can recruit a different party each time makes things super interesting because the dialogue between the characters will (obviously) be different. I am already excited to replay it a third time! (Next year, maybe.)

In my both my first and second playthrough, I admit I didn't know much about the character recruitment stuff. I just got who I could, but I managed to fill in all 8 spots this time around. I did look up how to get Phia because she was someone I really wanted. Apparently recruiting 7 characters makes her impossible to get, but somehow I got lucky and was able to get rid of one of my 7 characters. This allowed me to find Phia and get her in my party. I was so happy, I think Phia is great!

My 8-team party ended up being: Roddick, Millie, Ilia, Ronyx, Cyuss, Ioshua, Mavelle then Phia, and Pericci. (I thought Cyuss was funny, but in this playthrough I learned he is very rude. I am not recruiting him next time!)

As far as battles, I did much better this time around. I actually understood battle concepts and I leveled up each character's skills properly. Roddick was appraising and cooking left and right. I definitely need to learn how to do the other stuff next time.

Character Head-canons/Favorites: Ophelia de Martel

Ophelia is relatively new, but she’s been fun to play around with! She’ll be in Eat Your Young as well.

Ophelia is a Klaus and Aurora child, for the ✨ drama ✨ of course

Because who wants to off themself for loving Klaus? Please.

Aurora instead passes due to childbirth with Rebekah’s blood in her system, she has her mental break after she wakes and Tristan took her daughter away.

Phia gets passed to a family Tristan paid.

They weren’t great at all, she ends up running away as a late teen.

She gets caught and tried for witchcraft, the fact she’s the hybrid’s daughter ends up saving her after.

This girl refuses to kill anyone, all she’s heard all her life is that vampires are monsters and she absolutely will not do it.

She’s feral as hell though and will fight anyone.

Phia finally decides around season one of TO to figure out where she came from, she has literally no clue.

Truly is notttt happy when she finds out who her father is.

She decides to come to NOLA anyway just to see if what everyone says is true.

Meets her mate Jackson at the kegger and immediately is like, yes THAT IS MINE NOW THANK YOU.

Poor guy can’t catch a break ever after that, not that he’s complaining.

She’s a fiend for chicken and waffles. Like she could live off of that solely.

Phia enjoys coding and game design, she is a tech queen.

Ferally bi. Very ferally bi.

Truly she lives up to the ginger rep and has both of her parent’s tempers.

Queen of the puff puff pass.

Loves her motorcycle more than people.

Am I the only one who wants to know Phia's opinion?

We got an interview with Tom and Ewan where both said their characters are lonely and misunderstood in the family, but I wonder what Phia has to say about Helaena. I wouldn't be surprised if she can say the same thing (lol). Or the fact that she is more comfortable with insects than with people ahaha.

Seriously, I'm very interested in what she said about Helaena's relationship with her mother, brothers, children, but of course we are unlikely to get at least some information. I understand that they are asking more about Aegon and Aemond since they are more important characters than Helaena, but... We have so little information about her and her abilities as a dreamer and I do not really believe that it will be revealed in 2s :c

i am seriously so confused about the lack of promo and interviews and q&as with this cast.

other shows' cast play games together, do photoshoots, are invited to all sorts of shows, do cute q&as, even the minor characters sometimes, but here we don't get much :(

but you are so right that we didn't get much of anything with phia :( and i too would love to know her opinion on her character and how she sees the story.

i do hope this changes after s2 and we see not just more of the cast together doing things, but also individual interviews.

Meet my OC's!!

So, I think I'll mainly write reader insert, however, if you've ever wanted to know who I picture some of the characters are! All of these were created by AI (I know sue me) from img2go. I've put it below the cut in case someone doesn't want to see or because I know there is a lot of controversy with AI. Plus the pictures are fucking massive.

First up is my main hoe, my baby, she's who we see in "I'll Share" and in another series that I'm still writing and going through (I've got 4 parts so far)

Raella Whatever the fuck their last name is

Rhy's sister Raella also known as Rae, Ella, or Ells, Azriel's mate.

She was born with wings, unlike Rhys who learned to summon his! She was there in the attack with her mother and sister and whilst she survived she did lose her wings, which she struggles with. Some info is where she is daemati like her brother, she, like her brother can summon things. But where Rhys can really only summon his wings, Raella learned while young at Windhaven that she could summon things she's seen. Ranging anywhere from knives, like truth-teller which did cause some light fighting with Azriel. She even summoned a knife and stabbed Cassian in the leg whilst he was training her defensive techniques. At one point she even managed to somehow mimic summon Azriel's shadows and scare Devlon, something that drained her. She gets refered to as 'The Mimic' or 'The Summoner'

Next up is someone idk if I'll ever write about but it's:

Roslyn Archeron, I picture her with different males honestly, sometimes it's Azriel, and sometimes it's Eris cuz I feel he could use someone like her.

She's the oldest Archeron sister born 3 years before Nesta and is almost a mixture of the three of them. Where Nesta and Feyre have their mothers' eyes, she and Elain both have their fathers' eyes. Before the family went broke, their mother had been discussing sending her to the continent to find a wealthy husband. After turning fae it is found that she is a healer and can mend wounds back together as if she is sewing them herself.

Next up is Mor's sister! Orphia aka Phia.

Who I've lovingly named after Orpheus that was known for being the man that ventured to the underworld to find Eurydice, the love of his life/wife.

She's almost a decade younger than Mor, having been only about 7 when Mor was to be wed to Eris. In Mor's eyes she "has it easy" because she wasn't sold like a broodmare once she started bleeding. But Dolas has learned to play the game to avoid Keir's wrath, she learned quickly how to play 'the golden child' after so many punishments. Where Mor's power is truth, it is said that Orphia’s power is lies and treachery. But you become who you have to be to survive, especially when you were a dreamer born into the court of nightmares. Because Mor wasn't the only one.

I can't decide if I would want to see her with Azriel or with Eris because there's something about pining after someone for 500 years only to find out your mates with their sister or finding out 500 years after breaking out your previous proposal because she's "tainted" that your mate is her sister.

And I’m sure there might be more to come! So I’ll soon make a masterlist and this post will be in it!!
