feeling real normal and fine over the fact that scar said “you can have a monopoly” while handing grian cacti. as they stood together in the sand. that is the Closest acknowledgement either of them have ever gotten to the cactus ring.

do you think that was scar’s way of trying to tell grian he misses him? that he truly does forgive him? that he never held anything against him for how things ended up on that mountain oh so long ago?

do you think that’s scar’s way of truly reaching out to him, saying it while talking in slightly more direct circles. that they can be okay again?

do you think, as scar holds the thorns of the cacti in his hands, feels them prick his skin (if he imagines, they feel like the thorns of a beautiful rose), he’s really just taking grian’s rough hands in his own and saying it’s okay.

scar gave grian that monopoly as forgiveness, I think.

So much of what Bruce gets wrong with Dick and Cass has his insistence on treating them as extensions of himself and believing that what's best for them is giving them what he wanted when he was their age. Also adding to his projection is both Cass and Dick articulating that they want what he would have wanted: Cass wants the Batman symbol, she wants to help, and Dick wanted what Bruce wanted as a kid: justice for the murder of his parents, and along the way he realized he wanted to help. Then later when they break from Bruce's desires, he doesn't know how to handle them anymore. Anyways it's just interesting to me how Dick and Cass came to Bruce in very different points in their lives and yet the connection through projection is there for both of them and while that's initially what make the characters bond, eventually it ends up hurting both of their relationships when it's taken too far

Candace Flynn in Nerds of a Feather. The way she spends the entire episode explicitly terrified of anyone finding out about her secret then happily reveals herself at the end. The way she worries about everyone thinking she likes kid stuff then, when they do laugh at her for it, she basically says "eh, them's the breaks." The way she flees from Suzy Johnson the whole episode and then tells her "Ducky Momo loves you too, Suzy" at the end.

Correct me if I'm wrong but up until this episode, we don't see Ducky Momo mentioned at all. Afterwards, Candace is apparently comfortable enough to bring her Ducky Momo plush into public sight and hunt for a Ducky Momo collectible at a flea market (although she half-heartedly pretends it isn't for her) and go to a public screening of a Ducky Momo movie (although when Vanessa catches her she pretends it's ironic).

Candace is a nervous wreck in a lot of ways but it's nice to see her grow (mostly) out of insecurity over liking "kid stuff". You go, girl.

Is Bakugou aware that Momo is practically the reason why the heroes were able to rescue him and save his life? He knows Kirishima got night vision scopes and paid him back. But does he know Momo made the tracking device and receiver to track him down? I would LOVE to see that conversation between the two of them. Like I don't think he thanked the Hosu squad, he hates them. He paid Kirishima back for his lost (and possibly wrecked) goggles). But what about Momo? I would love for him to acknowledge her efforts in some way.

y’know what’s insane to think about with cleo winning? how cheerful they were. scott died and cleo was laughing in disbelief but then she just sing-songed and skipped over to a creeper and let it kill her. and there’s something they said that just ?? is sticking with me.

“no it’s how you want it to work!”

besides scott, we’ve never truly seen another else defy the watchers so… loudly like that. and I think there’s something amazing and beautiful about how differently cleo reacts to winning than the other winners. in the previous five games, our winners have always had this air of disparity around them in one form or another.

but not cleo. no, I’d even go as far as to say that cleo is excited that she won. there is no sadness. no heaviness around her (and maybe part of that is they didn’t keep themself alive long enough to feel it. maybe jogging up to that creeper was a way of saving herself from that pain. she’s outlived allies before. but this? living in an empty world? no… that’s something else entirely. that’s a pain she didn’t want to confront).

it’s so, so, interesting to me

Hey darlings! Since I don't have any more Halloween treats planned this year, I just want to take you with me for a moment, as we reflect on probably one of my most ambitious projects to date; the Rocky Horror Picture Show homage the characters of My Darling 4 put on 🥺💖 It was well over 30 renders consisting of both stills,animations, gifs and videos. And of course the last finale post, which came an entire year later, the Rose Tint My World scene, which felt like making a whole new movie all on it's own. I definitely caused myself some burn-out but I think the end result was well worth it! During this time I got to connect with some lovely souls who reached out, sharing their experiences with me about RHPS and living in the era where annual RHPS showings were a common tradition, and just stories I probably wouldn't have heard had I not taken this on. I got to geek out with fellow simmers who shared our passion for the movie (for example, @whyhellosims who SLAYED her take on it with her OC Felix!) It was so fun and exciting to put the MD4 characters in situations they'd normally never be in (Coni and Brick? I'm sorry??? Tycho and Morgyn in bed sharing a steamy kiss? I'm SORRY? STARLING WORKING A MINIMUM WAGE JOB? SHUT. UP.) I look back on this project so fondly, I feel like each of the characters matched RHPS so well, it just felt like fate ❤ Thank you all who showed so much love during that time, it definitely kept me fueled!
