Fun fact: took me a long time to figure out how to drink out of a cup like a human being. I used to bite the cup like a complete IDIOT. No idea why. It was a bad habit or something.
Did it with a glass once. Imagine my shock to discover a big chunk of glass in my mouth! Wow! Who would’ve guessed.
I was fine. Good times were had all round. Never caught myself doing it since.

再谈JJK 236五条悟的心理刻画// I want to talk about Gojo's psychology in chapter 236 again
I'm quite happy to say that my thoughts on CH236 have evolved—even if I still greatly dislike many of its executions, pacing, logic, and other storytelling issues. Previously, one of the things that really pissed me off is the character derailment Gojo Satoru suffered in CH236.
I'd mentioned before that the idea of the afterlife dream sequence is massively appealing to me. It's just that there are so many little things in it that sounded wrong enough that in the end, I wondered if I was looking at Mahito's Idle Transfiguration at work. As one person familiar with the JP side of Twitter reportedly saw (take it with a reasonable grain of salt for there is no link to the tweet, but no big deal):  "Gojo sensei didn't just die, it feels like his soul was killed as well."
However, unlike many detractors, my gripes were not centered on "Gojo dickriding Sukuna jobber mindset." I actually think the self-deprecation was perfectly valid for the human Satoru (my previous rant had more details on this). I thought it was humanizing to see him freely admitting his vulnerabilities.
I was more offended at his downplaying his achievements as though he never had a chance. I thought someone who was as enlightened as he is in judging a person's strengths and weaknesses should be better at assessing his own feats instead of sounding like my pathetic ass whenever I talk about myself. I know I have a rather abysmal self-esteem issue, but nothing in the story indicated Satoru as possessing that trait. That loss of measured self-assessment was one of the things that made me reel. But after reading some comments on this Reddit post, I've come to realize I forgot a very important piece of context:
This is Satoru after he lost.
Being the strongest was, by all the web of causes around him (his birth, the way people regard him, the things people keep pointing out about him, the system's assessment of him, etc.), a huge part of Satoru's sense of self. It did not necessarily matter if he himself truly believed "being the strongest" was all there was to him. See, even in the real world, there is no "true self" (yes, "there is no self" is one of my most steadfast scientific +/philosophical stances). There is, however, a social self; a person's sense of self is porous and dependent on the environment and society (which can break up into communities) they exist in, and it reflects back to the person who comes to accept it as their own personal narrative. Being the strongest was part of Satoru's fable; the world around him even decided that it was his raison d'être.
So when he lost, it dealt a really hard blow to his understanding of who he believed he was. It didn't matter if he was enlightened in his judgment of people. One of the statements everyone, including himself, had taken as a fact had just been completely disproven. Why wouldn't he then express doubt on the rest of the "I am the strongest" narrative? Why wouldn't he start to become skeptical of his strengths and feats, to the point of seeing the opponent who bested him as more powerful than Sukuna really was?
It's just another glimpse into his humanity. Who among us feels not a shred of self-doubt when we fail at what we believed we were good at?
In this light, it became easier for me to reappraise his expression of doubt.
--------
There was a part when he made it sound as though he was trying to reach out to Sukuna and shit "all along", seemingly at the expense of his students, colleagues and adopted son. Make no mistake, the omission of his students and the goals Satoru made as himself (instead of as "the strongest") in this afterlife dream thingy is still bad.
Reaching out to Sukuna, though? I don't think it's necessarily OOC.
See, Satoru shared many traits and inspirations from Shakyamuni, the historical Buddha. In line with those references, it's my interpretation that Satoru does not actually exhibit egoism—I know, it runs counter to the dominant understanding of Gojo's psychology in the JJK community—but self-less-ness.
Not selflessness as in "altruism", but anattā--one of the Buddha's realizations upon his awakening (and again, a concept I strongly support. My best friend can tell you how much I talk about this. Hell, my blog description says as much). The way I see it, Satoru's confidence in himself is no different from his confidence in other people—it's all rooted in what he perceives this given "person" is capable of. To him, "Satoru" is simply another person who happens to be really good at a lot of things and so deserves to be praised and uplifted as anyone else who's good at what they do; the fact that this person happens to be himself is irrelevant*.
*Note: I once had a YouTube comment discussion with someone, who was surprisingly knowledgeable on Buddhist philosophy, regarding the blurry line between selfishness and selflessness in Gojo. It was great; we discussed anattā and śūnyatā and ended at the Mādhyamaka (Mahayana) school. There, I expounded on why I interpret Satoru as "self-less" instead of "enlightened selfishness" in greater detail. I intend to transcribe it and preserve it here someday. Not now, though!
When I put that understanding into CH236's context, it no longer shocks me to see Gojo wanting to reach out to Sukuna. For a self-less being, there are no distinctions between them ("them-self") and other beings ("other selves"). They are all psychocausal processes in the form of persons. Sukuna is, therefore, "another person" in Satoru's eyes.
Sukuna is a person who's the strongest in his time and was worshipped and feared—not seen as human but as a calamity embodied in a living creature. Note that Satoru's empathy for Sukuna didn't make him condone Sukuna's way of living as "the strongest" (i.e. hedonistic egoist) even in his bare-my-soul afterlife sequence; he merely expressed an understanding of Sukuna's psychology. That understanding led to Satoru expressing compassion to a person who was burdened by being too strong at the top—it was even doubly easy for him to empathize because of Satoru's own lived experience. You can see why Satoru then tried to alleviate Sukuna's suffering in a way he believed could work: giving his all, through humor, etc. These are likely what Satoru wanted someone else to do for him.
You can trace this same attitude in the way he mentored his students. He didn't hold back much (ask Yuta and Hakari again how it feels to be punched by their sensei). He regaled his students (and sometimes colleagues) with excessive humor. He was unabashedly "giving his all"—his childishness and "annoying narcissistic ass" and insanity—to those he especially believed to be liable for being lonely, whether it's because of strength or perceived danger (Yuta, Yuji), circumstances (Yuji, Megumi), life experience (Maki, Nobara), mindset (Nanami, Hakari), etc. It could be gleaned even as far back as his interaction with Riko Amanai when he started to see her less as a job and more as "a person", and so recognized the sort of isolation and alienation Riko was starting to feel as a Star Plasma Vessel. He did the same thing with her—trying to alleviate her suffering through what he believed was best. And yes, he gave his all even back then (no sleep for 3 days, guys.)
---------
Tumblr media
Gah the translator for this chapter is fucking amazing! I'm jealous! Also, "I love everyone" is poignant, I think, as it paralleled what was in his head during his awakening ("I don't hate anyone.")
The choice Gege made in depicting the "flower" as lotuses has become subject to various theories. After all, it symbolizes rebirth in some cultures and interpretations. I think it's a valid point for his comeback theories (though I dare not allow myself to hope), but those aside, I actually simply thought of it as yet another allusion to Satoru's connection to Sakyamuni.
Pink lotuses symbolize Buddhahood—a bloomed one is a Buddha; a bud is a Buddha in the making. In Mahayana Buddhism, everyone supposedly has a Buddha nature and is therefore capable of liberation the way Sakyamuni did. They simply need the knowledge (dhamma)... and The Noble's Eightfold Paths/The Noble Eightfold Path taught by a teacher, of course. Gotta subscribe to the course, aye?
This translation actually made me realize that yes, Satoru did mention his students... in a very annoyingly subtle way.
I don't think these lotuses refer to himself. I think they refer to his students.
Hear me out. His goal has always been to raise a generation that could all be strong, so that no one has to be lonely again... including Gojo Satoru (a.k.a. himself), because this would be a world that no longer needs him. To match it with the Buddhist allegory: Satoru, "the Buddha", is trying to raise all of these lotus flowers ("buddhas-in-making") to bloom.
He can make his students bloom (his goal of raising them). He can admire his students (he's proud of them). But he cannot tell his students to "understand him."
Ultimately, he seems to think his students—or anyone, really—don't actually understand how lonely it is to be up here. He doesn't resent it ("I don't feel lonely now"), but it's still an experience that predisposed him to find some resonance in Sukuna. I find it plausible that perhaps, in Satoru's mind, Sukuna is no different from his students in some regards. It certainly fits the trait of a Buddha/Boddhisattva—to be capable of compassion even to creatures and beings most of us wouldn't be.
(Or maybe this feeling comes even more easily considering the fact that Sukuna is wearing Megumi's face.)
---------------------------
Now, I know this is already a long read, but my evolved thoughts are not done yet! This is concerning what I previously saw as the biggest character assassination: Nanami and Haibara's comment on Satoru's character. They basically painted him as a dude who really just did it for his pleasure and no loftier goals. The fact that Satoru didn't even deny it was just crap.
But someone pointed out that the face he made was a frown—Satoru was actually upset that this was what Nanami believed.
Now, I've always been crap at discerning emotions, which extend to expressions. I've interpreted his expression as Satoru feeling embarrassed for being called out or accused. But honestly, it also makes sense to think that this is Satoru frowning at the fact that he's still being misunderstood even after death. He likely didn't bother to correct Nanami because he rather asked Nanami how he felt when he died.
And that, I think, actually dives into heavy meta.
A sizeable number of those who decry Satoru as OOC in his death were upset that the man didn't show his signature self-assuredness, arrogance, and "winner mindset" (this is the gripe I personally disliked the most because it's close to turning Satoru into this Alpha Male egoist role model), and is all-around "acting like a jobber." It's as if they like Satoru because he's the strongest—not because he's Gojo Satoru.
Some, meanwhile, were seething to see him praising Sukuna and trying to reach out to him, calling it OOC glazing, meatriding, etc.
Even those who like him for his character and traits, such as myself, ended up upset at what we believed Satoru was not showing.
Satoru is showing a side of his humanity and it was confusing to a lot of us in big and small ways, for different reasons. A good chunk of it is still, I maintain, the problem with Gege's execution.
But in a meta-sense...
It kinda shows that we don't understand him completely either.
We're kinda being Nanami here. We think we get Gojo Satoru, but then sometimes, we don't... at least not until we try to understand him on his own terms.
What's Gojo famous for?
For being the strongest, most handsome motherfucker who's cool and cocky as fuck with cool-ass OP powers and all that meme-worthy stuff.
He's famous for being Gege's "most hated character," for the jokes about him having zero personality, etc.
Famous for being MAPPA's golden child with glossy ass lips and eyes that burden their animating budget.
He's sexy and hot; fuck did you see what he did to Jogo in Shibuya? He's feral and insane; fuck did you see what he did to Hanami? Or that time he turned Toji into a donut? He's bombastic and larger than life.
He sometimes feels unreal, like an alien. Some people hate him, and some people adore him to bits.
But it takes some digging and analysis for us to realize that Gege lied about him having no personality. Because Satoru is one of the most fleshed-out characters he's ever created. He had more human sides to him that surprised even us—we didn't know he was capable of self-deprecation. We didn't know he was so compassionate he tried to reach out to the villain as if he was Naruto fucking Uzumaki. We suspected other things, like his loneliness at the top, but most of us believed Satoru was more gleeful and smug about being at the top than being angsty about it.
Maybe this was what Gege was trying to do. Or...maybe he didn't intentionally try to do this, and simply fumbled and messed up his way to genius meta-hood (honestly who knows by this point).
Either way, CH236 could be read as an experiment on how right Satoru was about him never being understood. There are just that many larger-than-life projections/assumptions imposed on him—with "he's the strongest" as the most dominant narrative. He was a "living creature" experiencing alienation and dehumanization, even when surrounded and loved by his admirers and supporters, despite sharing everyone's common thread of the human condition.
All he could do when we argued about how weird he was because he didn't fit what we believed... was to frown and move on.
---------
Extra thought:
I know it's a conspiracy theory by this point that Gege did Satoru dirty because Gojo is his least favorite character, but I really think Gege is joking. If CH236 sucks in its execution of Gojo's afterlife sequence, it's because Gege hasn't been doing emotional beats and characterization well for a long time by now. Not because he hates Gojo.
Think about it—Gege hasn't cared to pause the battle for some deep-cut emotional shit since the Culling Game arc, and yet CH236 is where the battle takes the backstage (so backstage it's a fucking OFFSCREEN DEATH. COME ON, GREG!). Every panel in that chapter was drawn with details and care, and he took a step back from the fighting just to give Gojo even more characterization and flesh.
Guys, I really think Gege loves Gojo.
Him bashing Gojo is him teasing Gojo the way Gojo teases other people like Utahime and Nanami and Megumi. He doesn't really know how to show his love for Gojo in the manga because his executions do miss, but I think he crafted Gojo lovingly. He fucking loves him. I think I'm actually willing to bet on this.
----
The evolution of my CH236-centric ramble goes from here, to here, to this. I also wanna shout out to the answer in that Reddit post that helped me understand the emotional beat of CH236 better (which allowed me to realize something else). I don't have a Reddit account though. I ghost-read!
Thank you for reading my ramble.

*TIME FOR SOME POSITIVITY! 📨 ➤   @sephyathredon ( … ) 🌵,✨, 🌼, 🌲, 🌱, 🌿, 🌙
Tumblr media
◈ @hexcoremagician [ ; ] a canon rp blog I’m biased here for obvious reasons — but regardless? I highly recommend Mars’ portrayal to anyone who adores Viktor from Arcane & League. How they’ve built him up, fleshed him out & developed him is nothing short of AMAZING. I absolutely adore all the replies I see on dash, can clearly hear his voice & picture a scene painted perfectly well with how they write! You will not be disappointed, in fact, you’ll be beyond blown away by the true care they have for this character. They truly do him Justice! 💕
Tumblr media
◈ @luxcruor [ ; ] a multimuse blog Though I’m slow with replies, Sailor is so insanely sweet to talk to ooc! They have this way of hyping you up for replies & character interactions & are not shy about meshing muses from other fandoms together which is something I admire greatly. They’re so friendly, very easy to plot with & chat to about the blorbos, you’ll be introduced to new muses through interactions with them, but it’s very easy to grow fond of them.
Tumblr media
◈ @vulpesse [ ; ] a blog with beautiful writing Everything? Everything is beyond gorgeous! Bunnie is someone I’m still so shy to poke & write with but my god do I admire their creativity! They have such a way with words, making everything sound so poetic & gorgeous — I feel like I’m reading a well loved story book or fairy tale with their work. The graphics they craft & use to help in visualizing their story— it’s nothing short of beautifully inspiring. Despite how insanely gorgeous their writing is, they also go out of their way to open the door for interactions with muses no matter the fandom. Bunnie is such a genuinely sweet soul, so so talented, I highly recommend any & all of their blogs because the mun truly does put a lot of effort into building stories with people.
Tumblr media
◈ @shimmerbeasts [ ; ] a blog with thought-provoking headcanons I gotta write together more with this lovely writer & it’s truly on me for being a chicken but I’m forever going to be blown away by how big their brain is with the lore & headcanons Miss T has developed for Zaun & their muses. Each one is so well thought out, fits seamlessly with their portrayals to help shape not only them, but build up the world itself to something that feels real, nitty & gritty but so believable. I don’t have the words to describe it, but they’re insanely skilled in worldbuilding from all I’ve seen since I’ve followed & I highly recommend them because the effort they put into their portrayals is incredible!
Tumblr media
◈ @pitgritted / @prtector [ ; ] a blog that's always positive SUCH A SWEETHEART— I do not know them all that well but following their blogs? It sounds cheesy, but the vibes I get from both, from the mun themselves is nothing but positive— always so wholesome & talented — I admire their passion so so much because of the distinct way they capture their muses. The effort put into Taric & Sett is awe-inspiring — but so far, yeah. No — I am nudging them over onto dash & holding them up like Simba because they are such a warm, friendly, UTTERLY WHOLESOME PERSON here in the rpc— definitely! Follow!
Tumblr media
◈ @jynxd [ ; ] a new blog They are new to me but I’m so happy I’m Mutuals with them. I’m excited to see all their Headcanons, their replies & writing on my dash — a new face but they have such a clear love for their muses, are so wholesome & cheerful to see poking others — all I can say for now is they’re worth following & taking the time to plot with cause so far from all I’ve seen, they’re a skilled writer with a lot of bubbling ideas!
Tumblr media
◈ @hymnblood / @inexoratos / @grantsuccor [ ; ] a blog for my favorite character Sage is an og— I need to gush about their Zag cause their writing is utterly gorgeous, so beautiful it will always blow me away! I need to poke them more, & I highly encourage poking their portrayals a hell of a lot more too because the ideas they come up with for interactions, the way they bring their muses to life, give them such a distinct, memorable voice in their dialogues — the headcanons are lovingly crafted, fitting well for the muses I do know, & for muses I am unfamiliar with? They catch my eye. They carry a passion for everything they do that is very strongly felt & greatly admired. But yes— their portrayals are always top tier in my personal opinion! 🙏💕💕💕

-Tales of Baby Tofu-
Alternate Title: Impostor AU… but it’s all according to plan…
AU: Mama Tofu
Genre: Brainrot
Word Count: 870 words
WARNING: Possible OOC, underlying cult themes, gender neutral reader, identity theft(?), kidnapping, word vomit, unedited writing, second post on Tumblr
Description: A new opponent appears! Celestia arrives, demanding the divine presence of its Creator. However, it seems that they are not yet aware of who Baby Tofu is…
Misc: Inspired from Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End. If you’d like, you are free to write my ideas into a proper work if you can credit me. Interaction appreciated! (But please do not disclose my existence to Shiro)
-Brainrot Commence!-
Allow me to set the scene. It all starts as usual. Mama Tofu and their child are both isekai’d into Teyvat. (Was it Albedo or Truck-kun? We shall never know…) Of course, Baby Tofu is thrilled with being thrusted into their beloved video game, and Mama Tofu’s stunned at how quickly they “adapted” with their unfamiliar environment. The two journey to Mondstadt, Baby Tofu fusses over their favorite characters and food, the crowd rejoices at the Creator’s return (alongside an unforeseen successor?), etc etc. But when word ascends to Celestia? They are baffled.
It’s widely known that Celestia is the “heaven” of Teyvat, or at least a place for the gods. So why were they not the first to welcome the Creator? Why is their Grace not where they should be; pampered, protected, and reclaiming their rightful place on the throne!? It’s humiliating and equally puzzling, thus why they must seek out their Grace for their holy guidance! (That’s a lie, Celestia just wishes to hoard the Creator to themselves, like any other worshipper)
Luckily for the acolytes, the Creator had actually departed for Liyue, while their child had remained in Mondstadt. Apparently, their Grace had been eager to see “their man,” (A/N: Read my previous work to know who ~) though Baby Tofu appeared strangely unhappy with the idea? Oh well, nothing they couldn’t assist with! After all, it’s their newfound duty to care for the biological descendant of the All-Mother.
...Until the heavenly troops of Celestia storm the city, ignorant to the fact that the true Creator had traveled elsewhere...
Now, as endeared as the Mondstatians are with their little Mini-Creator, they’re not quite at the stage where Baby Tofu and Mama Tofu are of equal priority. The former simply hasn’t been present in any ancient documents or records, hence why nobody had any emotional attachment to them until recently. Thus, with hearts full of pity, they immediately cling to the Mini-Creator, pleading with them not to leave them so soon. At least permit them to demonstrate how much they’ve missed them over the eons! Despite that, Baby Tofu isn’t so gullible, they know that they’re pretending to be their own mother.
‘It’s for the best’ the acolytes attempt to soothe themselves, while the Mini-Creator is escorted away. They were entirely unprepared; to protest against Celestia’s advances would be equivalent to a death wish. Besides, abandoning the real Creator for an impromptu war would be so cruel…
Yeah, that’s what they keep telling themselves.
Mama Tofu is livid once a messenger delivers the news some hours later. They knew it. Their child should not have been entrusted to some strangers they encountered by chance, despite how friendly they seemed to be with each other. Teyvat itself trembled with fear totally not because a certain incognito god is responding to their wrath as they storm out of the teahouse, halting only when they realize they know absolutely nothing about “Celestia.”
Evidently, nobody considered how… forgetful(?) the Creator would be regarding knowledge about their own domain. They must’ve lost their memory, they reason. During the time they were recuperating and fighting cosmic battles (or however the stories excuse their absence), they must’ve sacrificed their recollection of Teyvat! How noble! How tragic! How… inconvenient…
With the Mini-Creator gone, there’s no easy method of re-educating their Grace. Let alone asking them how they could aid with rescuing their baby from their captors.
Which results in a comical scene.
-Baby Tofu, in the Celestial Palace, at noon-
“Alright, you’re in some holy castle… temple… whatever, and they think you’re your mother.” They exhale shakily, pacing around the marble floor in a trance.
“Meaning… if those fanfics have taught me anything… there should already be evidence on what the ‘Creator’ was like…” They conclude, collapsing onto their lavish bed with an exasperated groan.
“Think like momma, think like momma…”
-Mama Tofu, in the Jade Chamber, also at noon-
“Alright, you’re on a glorified floating island… spaceship… whatever, and your child has essentially been kidnapped.” The Creator murmurs, hand frantically shooting up to graze at their hair.
“Meaning… according to those people… they should be up in ‘Celestia’ or wherever that is…” A crazed breath escaped from their lips as they shuffled through the many incomprehensible books on their shelf (unfortunately for them, English literature does not exist in Teyvat).
“Think like the whelp, think like the whelp…”
If the Teyvatians somehow manage to overthrow Celestia (which they likely will, since the universe itself bows to their wishes), the deities residing in it will rush hurriedly to their Grace. They might weep or they might beg, but they remained determined to properly crown the “Creator” as the sovereign of Celestia. In their blinded eyes, they see the revolt below as heresy; an army of conceited, faceless organisms desperate for the attention of their Grace. How relatable, yet how utterly disgraceful.
Consequently, when they finally seize the central palace, the archons rush in to find a paralyzed Mini-Creator, hunched over a dying figure. When Mama Tofu scurries into the haze and embraces their child again, they’re immediately bombarded with questions and frenzied tangents on what the heck happened. In response, Baby Tofu tentatively faces their mother’s followers again and whispers;
“...I’m… the ruler of Celestia…?”
(A/N: Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk)

For an April fool's game, they have no right to make this good...but they still did it.
IT'S SOOOO UNBELIEVABLY GOOD LIKE HOLY HECK?!
Where do I start? Okay, history-ish lesson time.
This is not the first time that Sonic's PR team make a game specifically for an april fool's joke. During Aaron's era, there was an infamous website game titled 'Big's Big Adventure 3'. And as the name suggests, it tells a story of how Big showed up in random places like you might/might not see him as a cameo during the SA2 event.
Same format as TMoSTH, a visual novel style game with uh....flappy bird-inspired game, and of course the fishing segment as sub content.
And that's it. I like the story not gonna lie. I enjoy playing it. Full of meme content. But the existence of the game itself was huge in 2016. It may not be the best thing to re-live it in this era in my opinion.
I bet the website is down now but you can still watch some playthroughs from youtube though.
youtube
And after seven years, the new Sonic PR team create a game for another april fool's joke. But this time....I don't think this is not full of memes to be laughing by the community. It's...unexpectedly something else.
Sure the highlight of the trailer first and foremost: "Sonic is dead" was a real deal. It was all over the internet even though you were not active on sonic at that time.
I personally didn't watch the trailer yet I knew that highlight. So I play it blindly without any knowledge of what the hell happened before this existed.
But as I open the game, I was shocked. It starts with deep and slow music like typical mystery games you played, great art designs, and a nice choice of colors that encapsulated the title itself. Simple, yet the qualities that represent are almost like it was not made for such a free game, even as a joke for that day.
I have yet to start the game but it left me with such an impression.
I love everything about this game. They nailed every. single. one! Even with each traits that were being misrepresented by fandom, somehow corrected to their very core! What is this? What in the world am living right now??
And this is one of the stories that I want to read in fan fiction. Just a group comes together creating unexpected events or just doing their normal life. Whether Eggman got in the way or not is up to you. It has silly and quirky moments freely.
The jokes landed perfectly without making them OOC. In fact, I got a bunch of new headcanon from that game. It has so many memorable scenes that you might already see most of them on the internet.
For the protagonist, yes I can confidently say I related to Barry that much. Even at some point, I felt I was inside the train surrounded by these extravagant abnormal people. I truly thought every response that Barry had was exactly like mine if I was in that scenario. (looking at you Tails)
For a mystery game, I kinda think how they summarize the whole case cooouuld have been better. The sub-ones did a great job to wrapped up the messes. I don't hate the whole problem tho. I actually adore it. Hmm, I might need to replay it again soon and see if it could change my mind about it.
Mini-games! It might be my personal bias so apologize for my taste. If I want to, they should add an additional setting to adjust Sonic's position. I struggled A LOT during mini-games. God why Tails had to toss every thinking section to me, please stop T_T.
For Music... wow I didn't prepare how well thought out this music has. The ost of this game is uniquely true to its theme and It still stuck in my head for days. The theme song and the interrogation section are my favorites. Some mini-game section is also catchy and upbeat!
Artstyle! Oh I loooove the design throughout the game. Each character got well design clothes that are creative and also stay true to their character with a bonus to the lore of the story! Deegeemin has my list as one of fav sonic artists.
Conclusion?
Tumblr media
please play the game

Not sure how many people follow me, but if you do and you’re a fan of Path to Freedom I just want to thank you so much for reading my work.
This is an incredibly personal project for me, I came out of two years of a terrible writing block to come up with this…and even when I was writing two years ago I didn’t even come close to the ease and inspiration I have with Path to Freedom.
I certainly didn’t think I would get so many comments, kudos and favs on it
No new chapter this week because I’ve been working a lot, and while it’s about 80% done there’s a lot of editing to do. It’ll be posted most likely later this week. I want to make sure I get Rhaenyra right, because in my world she’s making decisions that’s the complete opposite of what the show/book have done. I personally feel that in my writing, she’s growing in a way that’s still true to herself. Still, I’m cognizant of making sure I don’t go in ooc territory, which leaves me overthinking my work a lot haha. I’m sure all FF writers have felt this way.
Tumblr media
Criston’s a real close character for me because I went though the same type of heartbreak he did about a month ago. I’m so thankful for the opportunity to heal myself and believe in love again by writing a story that I believe in. Believe me when I say that I’m putting my heart and soul into this story.
Reading all your lovely comments brings tears to my eyes, and thank you so much for the support.
Tumblr media
And if you come across this post and think “who tf is this weirdo” hi, my name is Leona and I’m writing a HOTD fic where Rhaenyra chooses Ser Crispin and runs away with him, feel free to read it here!!!

plus another reason why I hope my fears won't come true is not just because I simply don't like them but also because it would all be OOC as fuck for him and that's exactly why I don't like them. so if the writers actually know what they're doing, (I mean in general, with Flynn involved and not knowing what kind of guidelines he may or may not be given, I can't determine how it's gonna be lol) then they won't write Eggman doing those things, or write those ideas into his personality, backstory, future, etc.
but I still worry because of the heavy demand that I constantly see for various of these things to exist in game canon Eggman from a whole lot of fans, often the loudest ones. it's another reason why so much of the fandom doesn't like or care for game canon Eggman- because they think he needs to be heavily altered and written with immensely OOC traits, actions, roles, etc to be "good" and likable to them as if he isn't already awesome and lovable in canon. it's a good thing they don't take specific fan pitched story ideas but I hope they don't even take mere slight inspiration from the general opinion they see in the fandom
because some fans only like Eggman when he's hardly Eggman at all, just the idea they imagine for him without being able to say they enjoy hardly anything from his actual canon appearances. which is why the most popular fanon interpretations are vastly different and never actually based on the real game canon Eggman, only other media with entirely different versions that they try to say works for the game version but doesn't. meanwhile I'd actually hate to see Eggman changed so immensely in a way that would please them because it would away a bunch of the things that I love about him the most that he already has.
my anxiety sometimes briefly gets me fucked up with the overthinking and worrying that all my fears will come true. but I reassure myself with the self reminder that an in character Eggman would never do those things, which is why I don't like those ideas and love him as a character for not having them. and I just keep hoping that they'll at least portray him accurately enough that they'll never consider trying to force those certain concepts to work for his character when they definitely wouldn't, just because it would please people that don't like game Eggman as is. they shouldn't focus on that because Eggman is already great, it's just an acquired taste apparently.
game canon Eggman is the best exactly the way he is, I love him with all my heart and really hope they won't fuck this up after him being one of the consistently well written and characterized in the series. his personality and actions there has always been so important and loved by me and I want it to stay that way, no matter how loud those that don't like how he isn't like *insert vastly different version in non canon media or fanon interpretation here* get. but I genuinely can't see them making that stuff work if they care about the character they've established prior before and even reminded us of in the latest TailsTube video, so I like to think there's a good chance they won't fuck it up in the ways I fear.

An Incorrect Summary of the Minus Starcatcher AU
(Disclaimer/OOC: As you can tell by the title, this is an incorrect summary of the Minus Starcatcher AU’s, it is not intended to come off as the actual lore of the AU’s itself and is complete satire. All of this has been inspired by Max0r’s Review on BloodBorne so most of this stuff will seem completely out of place and confusing. Either way, enjoy reading this incorrect summary of the Minus Starcatcher AU even though none of it will make any sense.)
So, you’re wondering who these “gods” are in the Minus Starcatcher AU. Well you’re in luck, because we’re about to delve into the lore.
So buckle up people because this stuff is gonna get wild. If I say something questionable, take it as fact because I can be trusted.
60 years ago 20 rowdy college students took their education extremely seriously because they found a female god in the basement of their school downstairs.
Also they were all bored so they ended up beating a sea god to death with bats but that’s a story for another time.
It turns out the entire world was ruled and created by a bunch of gods beyond human comprehension.
After figuring that out they got the female gods blood so they could make a religion out of it.
It turns out the blood could heal people which helped with the violence and sickness.
So everyone starts drinking it too much and somehow gets the money to build 36 cathedrals in the name of their gods.
But it turns out this blood eventually turns people into beasts.
So the church hires a bunch of soldiers to help quell the madness but there were too many enemies so the leader just gave up.
Now the beasts are too much and the leader sort of goes insane and meets and creates a doll of one of his students.
Suddenly the moon god for some reason takes notice of this and says “I am making a suicide squad, I will bring your wishes to life if you serve me for all eternity.”
The leader thinks this is a great deal and was banished to the shadow realm with his doll to help serve their new master.
Turns out the moon god kills Demi gods for fun and needs a Soldier/Hitman in the real world to do it since he’s confined to the 9th Dimension.
So in addition to this soldier killing god knows how many beasts and uncovering dark secrets the true aim for said soldier is to murder Demi gods.
There’s enough nonsense in this world to fill tax legislation.
And there it is, my very poorly summarized explanation of the origin of the Minus Starcatcher AU. I’d like to thank the corrupt hackers and politicians for giving the well needed info for all this directly from the taxpayer and as always thank you for reading.
[why lmao]

Fanfic Writer asks:
8, 16, 18 :)
8: Do you take inspiration from real life? If so, how do you incorporate it into your fics?
I do! I mean, not so often in a "this happened to me" sort of way, but I think I put a lot of my experiences and thoughts into my fics heh. But it's often stuff I just think about, like if I've seen posts online about a topic or I read something in a book. Sometimes if I read meta about characters I can keep that in mind when I write. I was reading and thinking a lot about asexuality so I wrote an asexual sasuke for example. That's one fic where I actually specifically thought "I want to write about an asexual character getting into a relationship" and thought of the plot later. If the fic is about being in love with your best friend... haha... most of the time the fics themselves aren't inspired by real life, I just sprinkle in some stuff here and there from my life experience. When it comes to describing rooms and places i do tend to think about places i've seen or visited to make it easier for myself. But mostly I try to think about the characters and not myself when I write haha and not make it like my own life at all, but I'm sure if you met me in real life you'd notice stuff... ah well. In real life I'm shit at talking about feelings and being romantic and stuff so I guess I sometimes think "what would I do in this situation?" And make the characters not do that lmao.
16: do you have a method for getting characters to sound/feel in character?
Yeah I kinda memorize speech patterns and behaviors. I do this in real life too heh it's automatic (i keep talking like my boss when i talk with clients send help what if someone notices). Then when I write I just play out the scene in my head like I'm watching a play, and the characters act it out within the confines of their characterization. That probably doesn't make any sense but it's how I do it. Like it can depend on the setting in the story ofc but to make an example. Let's say naruto and sasuke are having an argument, and they don't know each other that well. What sort of people are they when they argue? Sasuke is not the type to break down and cry usually, unless the argument is super serious with someone he loves in which case he might get emotional. It's more likely he'll close up and lash out rather than talk about his feelings with someone he recently met, and he probably won't consider naruto's view or feelings. And with that sort of "restraint" on his character and the setting they're in, there are only so many ways the argument might play out on his side. He won't suddenly sit down and talk it through like a therapy session and have a good cry about it. He's not level-headed, he just acts aloof. It's a simplified example, but take your character and put them in 360 degrees 3D mode and examine them from all angles, like really spend way too much time thinking about them, and various scenarios they might be put in and how they react, and compare that to similar situations in canon, though accounting for any differences in setting. If sasuke never makes a dick joke in canon, he probably wouldn't in your fic either (those are for sai lol) if you worry about not being ooc. But if x and y and z happens in your fic, maybe he would make a dick joke, and you have to figure out how to write that in a way that's still true to his character. Maybe it's sarcastic. Maybe it's mocking. (Maybe it's just super funny in which case go ahead). The important thing is that, if you write an au and you wonder if it's in character, pretend it happens in canon instead and consider how that feels. Like when artists flip the canvas you know? The flip side is the canon version of the character. Canon won't account for every scenario and it depends on how fleshed out the character is in canon, but there really is no shortcut other than obsessing a little over them. Also great to read other people's version of the character and see how that feels compared to canon. Not because other people are always right but if there's not a single fic where sasuke makes a dick joke, you might think once or twice on how likely it is that he would make one.
Honestly I don't really think about it when I write, my brain just goes bzzzz if something feels ooc lol and I frown about it until I figure out what's wrong.
Already answered nr 18. Thanks for asking!! 💕

*holy fuck, it’s GALLAVICH time* 💖🧑🏻‍🦰🧑🏻💖 - if you had an infinite amount of inspiration and time, what would be the Gallavich fic or art you would create? 💖 (& feel free to send this to anyone you like!)
Ahhhh I love this, Calli!!! You’re the sweetest!!💕
Infinite time and inspiration you say?👀 Warning: mild s11 shade under the cut.
Something I’d really like to explore is a *cough cough* realistic season 11. Don’t get me wrong, in a lot of ways, I liked s11 and I’m glad they got the ending they deserved but sometimes I’m just like ??? Really? While there are some aspects of that season that I liked, and while it’s been nearly a year since the show ended and I’ve accepted it at this point, I would LOVE to just sit down and think about what could have happened, had that season not been… all that it was. A s11 fix-it is something I hope I can one day get around to writing.
I’m thinking the same vibes as season 10, where not everything was a punchline. I want to see the real honeymoon phase. I want to see them healing from their past. I want to see the drama and the depth that the season lacked, that others didn’t. I want to see our boys learning to be a married couple, and falling more and more in love as one. We never got to see that part. And the time jump between seasons 10&11 also robbed us of any real context for their silly arguments in the first half of season 11. I’d address the OOC-ness and unanswered questions that some parts of the season brought (No friends? Who were all the people at the wedding? Or look me in the eye and tell me Ian would actually condone stealing an ambulance, or that Mickey would let him. Also, the orgy? Don’t get me started)
I would start this fic right after season 10, I think. Ian and Mickey get home from their honeymoon suite and we get to see them deal with everything this new life entails, all while still reeling from prison and their dramatic engagement. I may even ignore Covid because this is MY hypothetical 100k+ multi-chap s11 fix-it and I make the rules. Does Ian try to find another job sort of in the medical field? Does Mickey get stuck with PO Larry again and keep working security? How do they work through everything they’ve been through and make sure their communication issues stay resolved? I wish we’d gotten to see more of these discussions because I KNOW they must have happened in some form.
There’s just so much I think could have been done differently, while still keeping the “they lived happily ever after” vibe that s11 did give us in the end. In a perfect world, I’d love to sit down and plan out an entirely different final season that does the characters and their story justice, in a way that doesn’t kind of erase a lot of the character development that we’d seen from them over the entirety of the show. I want them to be happy, but in a way that feels like them, not in a way that feels weird because things they say and do aren’t true to their characters.

Different lists and takes/headcaons
Tumblr media
Redacted ASMR/Audio:
List of characters’ name meanings – all names have meanings and sometimes they make you cry and sometimes they make you scream (yes, I’m looking at you, James).
Redacted ASMR as my favourite musical theatre moments – exactly what it says, sometimes funny, sometimes sad. Has a link to a YouTube playlist and a Spotify playlist with all the named songs.
Lovely’s trauma – a little headcanon about what triggers Lovely and how they react.
Hamilton AU (kind of) - a little angsty au with songs.
Equinox - a little sappy headcanon and a lot of song lyrics.

Redacted ASMR characters fruit headcanons - their favourite or what I think would suit them. Last day of summer vibes.
Some Memes - a very cursed post. Good job, everyone.
Redacted Pinboard - huge and sections are titled with song lyrics (mostly). The choice of characters is not the most obvious. Contains some disturbing imagery in some sections so proceed with caution.
I can’t see in the dark - NSFW Invisiboi analysis (I wanted to flaunt my sex-ed knowledge). SFW version of why I’m down so bad for Regulus. I know him better than everyone else - and I’m yet again analysing Regulus, in the light of fan works.
Thoughts on D.A.M.N. threesomes - NSFW (without details) thoughts on dynamics.
You’re the only one not sleeping, silly - Winter Solstice with the D.A.M.N. polycule.

Secret Recipe - Milo/Sweetheart fluff one-shot for the 2021 Winter Gift Exchange.
Non-native English speaker listener headcanons - how will he react to your accent and mother tongue.
Redacted incorrect quotes but it’s Starkid - David surprisingly is not the guy who didn’t like musicals.
Crochet things I’d make for Redacted characters (if I was actually good at crocheting) - a list + a Gavin bonus.
What if Love is manipulating everyone? - strong AI at its worst.
Dice Lasko bought that remind him of the D.A.M.N. polycule - forbidden candy, don’t eat dice.
Tiny headcanon for Gavin/Freelancer pre-wedding party - with a song, of course.
Redacted ASMR incorrect quotes Star Trek edition - I’m just assigning Sock’s lines to Damien and Avior.
Let Me Entertain You - a burlesque AU ficlet in which the freelancer flusters David.
Redacted characters with a foreign listener - another set of self-indulgent headcanons.
Musical movies I’d watch with Redacted characters - Teddy can’t shut up about musicals.
Incredibly OOC HC for right after Huxley’s introduction video - straight from October 2020.
How he reacts to tech/computer problems headcanons - inspired by my struggles with regional blocking.
Redacted characters nails/nailart headcanons - “demons have naturally yassified nails” (c) Mari.
Redacted cold weapons headcanons for characters and listeners - can you tell I’m very interested in weaponry. Brachium bonus.

Redacted Mob!AU domesticity - with anachronistic aesthetic pictures.
The freelancer manipulating Kody and ruinining his life as a treat.
Gavin dressing up his partners in every AU.
Gavin and the freelancer on a museum date.
Redacted ASMR couples who would do Vulcan Kisses.
Hollow_VA:
We’re Choosing, We’re Being Chosen - angsty (slightly whumpy) headcanon for Pharos’ first listener.
I know Those Eyes - angsty headcanon for Pharos’s listener but now we’re talking season two.
You bite the feeding hand And it will crush you where you stand - how I think the Hollow_VA spymaster story should have ended.
Why am I so unhappy, Pharos got a new listener in the second season.
Hollow_va playlists in proper order.

Agent A, Felix and John singing Abba songs at a karaoke.
Nomads Tales and Audios:
Yes, my King - some thoughts on Nomads Tales & Audios' yandere villain storyline (I like it a lot).
Nomad’s Tales & Audios Villain Husband taking care of an ill spouse.
Other:
Thoughts on Xanthus’s bond with his listener - do look in the replies.
Bits and pieces for Grinningpup: Orc/Elven Prince, Warlord/Prince bit one and and bit two (actually for the third part of the series), Omega Orc/Alpha Human Knight.
ThickDickEnergy fic rec – incredible author, writes for “Hollow_VA”, “Siren’s Son ASMR” and many other fandoms, as well as original works. All the links in the post.

Big Recommendation Lists:
List of ASMRtists I follow and/or watch at least semi-regularly – yes, it has more than 90 names. Yes, Redacted is the first one. With little descriptions and tags (for whom do they make audios).
Alien ASMR recommendations - exactly what it says, because I want to be more of those.

SEND ⍟ FOR SOMETHING THE MUN WANTS THEIR MUTUALS TO KNOW! || ACCEPTING
@debelltio asked:
⍟⍟
If you don’t like the Jedi, there is a chance we will not get along. Let me be clear: I don’t mean your character. Most characters in-universe don’t like the Jedi for whatever reason they have. That’s normal. I don’t care about that. If everyone liked the Jedi in-fiction, the story would be completely different. This is strictly from an OOC perspective. You don’t have to be an avid fan and supporter like I am, but just don’t be anti-Jedi. Or just keep it quiet when we chat, if that makes sense? Like. A lot of the beliefs of the Jedi I’ve seen get criticism for being ‘weird’ or ‘wrong’ or whatever are actually based on Eastern cultures / religions / philosophies, and even as a white Westerner myself, it feels pretty icky to see other Westerners shitting on what are very real (and very harmless) beliefs that a lot of people follow and have followed for centuries, if not even longer. And those that AREN’T taken from real-world inspiration are criticized based on echo-chamber fandom beliefs that are either twisted parodies of what’s actually true until it’s miles apart from the original intent, or just completely false - often, ironically, based on the propaganda Palpatine and the Empire tried to spread. ‘The Jedi are evil’-- No they’re not. ‘The Jedi kidnapped children–’ No they didn’t. “The Jedi didn’t do anything to stop slavery–” Yes they did. “The Jedi said you can’t have relationships–” No they definitely did NOT (but the attachment rant is another thing altogether). “The Jedi said you can’t get married–” Yeah, and as a martial arts instructor, I wouldn’t be allowed to come to work in booty shorts, stiletto heels, and a halter top, it’s a restriction of the job. If you don’t like it, just quit. “But you can’t leave the Order–” Yes you can. They’ll even let you keep your lightsaber, and might build a statue of you. This is a hugely summarized version of what I was originally gonna write, since I’m pretty sure I could write an essay on everything the fandom at large just gets wrong (based on both canon material and things George himself has said in interviews) or ignores about the Jedi, but. That’s not what this is for. Also, if you say the Jedi in any way invited or deserved Order 66… There’s no way to put this gently. ‘Genocide is bad’ should not be a hot take.
Speaking of Order 66, Braig is a very traumatized young man, especially after the Purge. His relationships with people change a lot after the Purge, and he gets a lot more guarded. With very few exceptions (especially if your character isn’t a Jedi), you might have to work from ALMOST the ground up in re-establishing trust. People he’s closer to have a leg up, of course, but it’s a rough time all around.

hey tabitha i just saw you finished and this your living kiss for the first time? 👀 what are your thoughts on it?
Tumblr media
(spoiler review under the cut lmao)
LOVED IT LOVED IT. so I’m not a big AU person (I love canonverse too much and there’s always so many OOC characters... it's why I never finished Beat Sheet RIP, though it was hilarious and now that I know the plot twist through tumblr I kinda want to finish it just for that.) But this hit just the right amount of buttons for me.
I think their relationship translated soooooo well to this alternate universe. like, what is dean if not just some guy with a shitty, shitty life but lots of spirit and love who somehow inspires cas to be himself and break free y'know.
the side character roles were so creative too. like, missouri being his former teacher and mentor? kevin being the insecure student in class who was worried he'd never measure up to the poems from class? even tired-and-true tropes like charlie being his best friend felt more fleshed out with the flashbacks to how they met and her having her own life & story rather than just being there to be the emotional gay support.
also I said this here but I really do like that jack was the saileen kid instead of the destiel kid. I'm not big on baby jack (sorry y'all.) to be fair, this is definitely a personal preference since I don’t really care for babies or kidfic in general lol (the responsibility of raising a baby is terrifying to me and I don’t get the appeal of a ship having one) and have complicated feelings on dean & jack in general. but sometimes it sucks to see the importance of sam & jack's relationship undermined just to give dean/destiel a baby too, especially when he had been the first one to truly be there for him and care about him. so this at least fixes that.
uncle dean works SO well too. he’s not his father but he does spend a lot of time taking care of the kid and still becomes a huge part of his life. and it also meant we got to have a young jack who greets everyone by signing and I think that’s absolutely adorable (love that he was still adopted too.) sam got to more than just the “brother who is off at law school” too, loved them discussing the intricacies of being raised by john winchester and dean seeing how sam is trying to be a better father to jack.
anyways, as for the actual meat of the fic I mean woooooooooh the psychoanalysis of dean winchester through poems were written SO well and delicately. I’m not a very cultured person when it comes to poetry so I honestly learned a lot about form and prose from the discussions about it in both cas and missouri’s class. jack allen’s style is so fun and the kind of poetry I would be way more into over the “I am very intelligent” types the other students seem to prefer, with the way it feels more real and storytelling and references pop culture. it’s why I enjoy spn bloggers’ poems so much I think, because I know what it’s referencing.
but yeah, the “perfect” poem had me crying and seeing cas’s reaction to realizing the “lazarus” poem was about him was great. dean’s first poem about death was actually my favorite, I loved that it used creatures from the show like Thee Death as metaphor and imagery in his poem. it’s just such a cool way to tie in canon.
other small moments I liked: 1) the alternating POVs showing how each saw the other and were like “wow he is out of my league” 2) the hilarious discourse on how his poem was “femalecoded” and Max and Kevin basically being like “yeah that’s not a thing” like hello spn tumblr and 3) DEAN’S BIRTHDAY <3
was it borderline lifetime rom-com? sure. is it very unrealistic that a lot of people would show up to a lgbt college group’s poetry seminar because there was an attractive teacher? definitely. but overall, it’s just a very soft and sweet fic that I think any artist or creative type (not just poem writers) can relate to and see themselves in.
anyways this is definitely longer than what you asked for but WOOF I like this fic a lot, talk to me about it
sidenote: had a very out-of-body experience reading this part of the fic after realizing this fic was written in 2019 aka a YEAR BEFORE THE CONFESSION???

I will never understand attempts to shoehorn religious diversity into JKR's sparse world-building. There is simply no indication in canon that anyone is of a particular religion (outside of some practices associated with English Muggles and X-mas), and projecting muggle religions onto wizards opens up a massive can of worms. Religious identity can be powerful and unifying in a community; in some cases it might suggest an affinity between wizards and muggles that would undercut the enforced segregation between the two societies, and that's especially true for persecuted religious minorities. IMO it's quite simply unworkable without there being significant overlap between the two societies, and we know there isn't.
Imagining that some DEs are Jewish is frankly a bit tasteless to me. The antisemitic undertones in JKR's making goblins run a bank full of gold are hard to ignore, but talking about Jews in Harry Potter puts that glaring problem front and centre. I can see how it might be done -- for instance, you *could* say Judah Loew ben Bezalel was a wizard who made the famous golem to protect the Jews of Prague -- but I don't see any compelling reason for any Jewish person to identify with the DEs given how the latter's ideology was partly inspired by Nazism. I dunno, to me it seems too close to the crap JKR pulled when she lifted themes from Indigenous mythologies to make her half-assed magical America, effectively reinscribing real colonial trauma in a magical world. I think it's fine to continue enjoying HP as a fan while denouncing the author's bigotry, but seeing stuff like that makes me seriously want to kick the habit.
Just speaking for myself, if that's not clear.
[[OOC: Thank you for sharing your thoughts - they make sense, and everyone's personal feelings are valid! I feel as though people incorporate religious diversity within HP for the same reason they incorporate other forms of diversity that are also not mentioned in canon (or else mentioned poorly) - they want to see themselves and people like themselves in that world. It was why I was imagining female OC's in universes lacking proper gender diversity from a very young age.
Religion of course can be seen as particularly complex because of the shared beliefs and experiences that would cross the magic divide, but this can be addressed in a couple of ways - one being that the religious and cultural practices of wizards differ slightly from that of muggles; the stories are just a bit different, the customs or reasoning behind them might differ between groups, etc. OR they could become a unifying force as you mentioned, which would make little sense for the existence of Jewish DE's considering the shared history. OR wizards could have completely different religions altogether, which would be interesting as well.
I can imagine that the "truth" would be a conglomerate of all three as perhaps a wizard created religion is prevalent, but the existence of muggleborns, half bloods and intermarriage has allowed muggle religions to seep in and take on new life in many cases.
The blatant antisemetic (and other bigoted) tropes in the canon work complicate this even further. The fandom can either work around these, re-purpose or re-claim them, rewrite the whole bit...etc. If a person makes the decision to remain in the fandom, then grappling with these details is an extremely complicated internal decision and I would never tell anyone how to address them. It seems like the common theme I am getting from followers is there should not be Jewish DE's and I will keep with that interpretation.]]

[ Things I Like RP Partners To Know ]
Tumblr media
I like to be called:
Wren. Superb Fairywren is also fine if you feel like being fancy (it is a real type of bird, I love them).
One thing you should know about me:
I work in emergency services. The hours are long, the work hard, and I get to deal with people on some of the worst days of their lives. Thus, I’m here to relax, escape, and enjoy my precious free time.
One thing you should know about RPing with my character(s):
I keep a lot of my characters backstories and true selves close to the chest. Their stories are often dark, complicated, and involved, so I prefer to have full control over those. Given that, I design my characters to be other people’s support characters. They’ve had their stand-alone film if you will, and can now cameo in others to help them grow or solve a problem. I’m happy to lead the story OOC, but I love when I get to be along for the ride to learn about and explore other folk’s characters and watch them overcome their struggles and challenges.
First language: English
Age range: under 13  |  14–17 | 18–22 | 23–25 | 26–29 | 30+ |  70+
Am I okay with NSFW?: yes | no | some nsfw
My favourite/most common thing to RP is: angst | fluff | smut | crack | action | plots | AUs are fine | violence | darker themes | slice of life
I like little adventurers. I love me some D&D and I now run my own game (I got my DM stripes y’all!) so I’m into mini-stories. Darker themes are alright too, though I tend to lean towards ‘mature dark’ and not ‘horror dark’. I want the darkness to have a purpose and a reason.
Canon Character RP Friendly?: yes | no | depends
I don’t think I could ever fully open up one of my characters to a ‘canon’ character, just cause I try to keep the stories I create separate from the games so if the game takes a hard turn I don’t have to follow. A hello or some light RP is fine, but beyond that... I think it would then lock that RP away for me, make it something I couldn’t share with others so... I think anyone more I’d have to pass on.
RP blog: does contain OOC posts | doesn’t contain OOC posts | occasionally contains OOC
Very occasional OOC posts. There’s a lot of aesthetic posts that relate to various characters, and I may start rambling about the D&D game I’m running soon, but non-RP, non-character-inspiration posts are rare!

Seeking Literate Partners!
Disclaimer: Male authors, please stop contacting me. I've been burned too many times. If you persist, I'll ignore your message. Hello, you can call me Doe! I'm 25+ and a proud cat mom. I write multiple paragraphs/novella style (200-500+ words). I love to write detailed descriptions and delve into a character’s head/emotions as well as surroundings. I compare it to writing a novel together. I understand if the scene doesn’t have alot going on and therefore requires less like rapid fire. I adore having long, thoughtful replies where we truly immerse ourselves in the world. I'm hoping to find a partner whose as enthusiastic and passionate about the plot and writing as I am. When I get invested in a story, it’s 100% dedication. Getting a reply is the highlight of my day. I'm a big fan of romance and using face claims. I’m the type to make pinterest boards, spam you with gifs, headcanons, and send you songs that remind me of our characters and/or ship. I'll get excited if we come up with future plot ideas, or if our characters are being cute or angsty and I can yell about it in the chat. Last but not least I only do MxF (with myself in the female role) and don’t double, but I’m more than happy to write side characters of either gender to help move the story along. I'd highly prefer female authors writing male characters. Searching For - 21+ partners - For you to have an excellent grasp of grammar, punctuation, spelling, and capitalization. Both in character and out of character. (Literate to advanced writers only, please. I'm not looking for newbies or those who have English as their second/third language). - Plot before smut. While mature themes will be in my plots, and are even encouraged, there needs to be chemistry between our characters. I like to have a good mix of plot and tastefully written smut, along with doses of angst and fluff. - For you to write as an older man (40s+/50s+). I'm a sucker for the gruff and tough men with dark pasts who secretly have a soft heart. I also love those grumpy, hypermasculine men being intimidated by soft yet commanding women. The youngest I write is early 20s. - Please be enthusiastic and invested when it comes to plotting/worldbuilding. There’s nothing worse than receiving one sentence in reply to two paragraphs of ideas, or having a doormat partner who says “sure” to whatever I ask. Tossing ideas back and forth, watching them snowball into amazing plot threads brings me joy. - Joining me in the wonderful world of ship/character development is kind of a must. It’s one of the things that makes writing with a partner so much fun. I also like to make friends with my partners! - While I'd prefer real life face claims, I'd also be open to using realistic art if you're uncomfortable with real life. I draw the line at anime/cartoon art. Let me know if you're going to be inactive/can’t continue. If you suddenly stop replying ic and ooc, I'll drop the story after 2 attempts of gauging continued interest spaced a week apart.
