I've had the SMT IV neutral theme going through my head for a majority of the day.

Listening to it before bed probably won't help in getting it unstuck from my head, lol

SMT IV's soundtrack is amazing~~~

As is other MegaTen games. Fantastic soundtracks~~

I'm now imagining a rom hack or something of pokemon scarlet and violet where you'd need to negotiate with the pokemon like the demons in MegaTen; or the samurai or hunters from SMT IV being isekai'd into the Scarlet and Violet world.

How would they get on in each others worlds, do you think?

Samurai from the Eaastern Kingdom of Mikado trying to stop the big bad of Pokemon scarlet and violet, while the pokemon trainers from the game try to combat SMT IV's plot

or something idk...

I've been up over 24 hours, lol. and have probably made a very similar post in the past tbh...

reminds me of a previous post where I queried whether aside from white/black kyurem, what it would be like if you could fuse pokemon like the demons in MegaTen and what the results would be. or whether it would be looked down upon cause we see pokemon moreso pets and creatures to care for rather than outright demons.

all these thoughts simply from a tired "i have a song stuck in my head" post, lol.

Have SMT IV on 3DS but text too small for my legally blind butt to play. Someone brought it up in a similar post I complained about this.

Sucks that nintendo killed Citra I'd guess.... Why nintendo???

*uses magnifying glass to tediously play a megaten game*

hope too that maybe some day we might end up seeing a port of SMT IV for the switch and I think if they do it right that it'd be pretty neat~~~

Just give me a bigger interface to read T_T

wish I'd discovered it before nintendo killed it. I was into the emulation scene for gba games and a bunch of other games in high school but then slowly fell out of doing it cause theft is bad. and now the paranoia if I even torrent something isn't worth it anymore.

anxiety go brrr

but I haven't got in trouble yet.

I'm tired and I pray to YHWH that this is coherent...

Got a 6 star raid that's driving me nuts.... Especially that I feel really stupid that I can't come up with a counter against it....

My strategy of max iv attack/hp or max (?) attack/some hp/ some sp def (annihilape and iron hands builds respectively) doesn't work.

I can sort of get there almost if I get really lucky with hurricane misses but always time out and get blown out of the den...

It's electric/flying with a steel tera type so I figured fighting cause i've had a really good run with iron hands and 6 star raids before.

Not now, lol. my sibling's first raid when they got them and now I've got it and can't beat it either...

now I just feel stupid for thinking that fighting would be good against a flying/electric type... and I'm too stupid to think of a viable counter.

my strat of (buff attack, heal, do damage, heal when necessary with iron hands) or bulk up, lower defense and rage fist (with annihilape) aren't viable to one shot the raid this time...

One annoying raid, they're still really fun tho. The music especially; rather than feeling really bad to lose, gives you the encouragement and uplift to try again even if you lose. Fantastic music in this game!

Walking Wake and Iron Leaves question~

event question~~ Tho I'd guess the answer is a yes hopefully...

I've tried and successfully caught Iron Leaves in my save of Pokemon Violet..

and did it the hard way, lol. Iron hands built for massive attack; quark drive, that one energy capsule thing, adamant nature mint, hyper trained w bottle caps, moveset of; belly drum, close combat, thunder punch, and drain punch. evs maxed attack, some in special defense, rest in hp.

It killed me a lot but got there in the end with move rng hitting me for not very effective. bad move using a fighting type for it but couldn't think of a better build at the moment, nor had the bottle caps and things to do that... also stubborn so wanted to see if iron hands could best it.

tl;dr of this is; can my sibling still catch it if we raid it together?

I'm guessing yes hopefully.... I wouldn't be able to catch it tho, as its one per save.

or the reverse; they catch walking wake, if I raid with them, I could still catch it, right? if I hadn't already?

I mean hopefully if I have a better build; it'll respawn until the event ends, right? I'd just need to wait a day? so can farm it like I do the other raids for candy and bottle caps if they drop.

The capsule thing I meant was the booster energy item, oops… I think that’s what it’s called….

Edit~~ the answer was yes~~ they can catch it if you have~~!! Tho given one per save after you catch it you can only grind the raid for resources at that point.

Stats are bad tho and I’ll keep it fish cause gyarados is kind of overrated imo~~

I know the rates are increased for all of the outbreaks during this event… are they halved or something?? No shiny charm or anything as I don’t have the Pokédex complete, I’m not using encounter power nor herba mystica sandwich at all~~ haven’t made a sandwich this entire game~~
