Facebook wall [poem]
You spend hours outside
photographing flowers through the tears in your eyes.
In each season
you see some
new beauty.
Whether itâs withering branches in winter, the cold sharp like a splinter
Or blossom, blooming in the brilliance of spring, you snap everything.
 Your camera captures the flowers
and they become free
with captions that highlight the simple attraction
on your Facebook.
The pictures that you took
distract you from the drastic apathy,
detaching you to make you feel happy.
And any time you donât feel fine, reaching for a glass of wine is sure to hide the pain inside.
Who needs to walk in a straight line?
You donât drink to hydrate, you do it to self medicate
So the need for you to contemplate the way you feel is consequently confiscated.
Your heart is aching.
And sometimes people feel inclined to bad-mouth you âtil you confide
that no matter how hard youâve tried
drinkingâs all that helps any more.
 Another fall.
You lie on the floor, your head is sore, and you canât ignore
the flowers on your Facebook wall.
How can something so soft and small, and barely even there at all,
make you feel so safe and warm?
 You take your camera back outside;
In the kitchen, your tabletâs connecting to the WiFi,
and under the fresh blue July sky
you photograph the flowers âtil your heart feels full
and all is quiet in your wide-eyed mind.

Sometimes life is just like waiting for your leg to not be numb anymore, and the satisfaction of the smooth, water-like ripple that spreads as the tingles disappear.

Slam poetry
Soooo, I have been writing a lot of slam poetry and enjoying it so much. I just feel like I'll never have the confidence to properly share it. Does anyone have any advice?

it's ME. @krabbypatting is my main, and this is going to be my angsty, edgy poetry blog so enjoy. Can't wait to cringe at this in a few years time xx
