ATLA live action series

i started it last night and... well, i like it.

the new series is about as controversial a topic as it can be right now and while i understand both sides, i do really like it. i think there are some things that they added that i appreciate. for example, when the fire nation destroyed the air temple. that was a scene i really appreciated.

but sokka's not as funny. nor is he sexist. and that's his character arc in the original.

it's still better than the 2010 movie tho.

keep in mind, i have also only watched the first 2 episodes, so my knowledge is limited to that and what i've seen on tumblr and youtube.

also, the casting is perfect. i love it. everyone IS their characters, its insane.

also, i have seen no comments on how uncle iroh is full on uncle irohing. like just from the first two episodes alone i already know they got him right.

remember you need tact, somthing else i can't remember, and..... sticky rice!

then he walks away.

like.

and zuko just stands there for a minute confused before following and saying "uncle, we don't have time for this!" off camera is just the most zuko thing ever.

like in the original, the two things he said pretty much every episode were "honor" and "uncle we don't have time for this"

tada, so that's my opinon.

it wasn't as good as it could have been, but i like it. better than the movie, not as good as the original series. i kinda watched it and pretended it was something completely new that i had never watched any version of before.

if you have anything to add, feel free to comment, but just please be polite. i understand if you feel strongly about how they did this but i also want you to keep in mind that everyone is entitled to their own opinions, and just because yours is different, doesn't mean others are wrong.

Fanfic idea #9

spoiler alert: one slight spoiler for crooked kingdom. read if you want.

ok so this time, straying off of the kpop, we go six of crows.

my most recent book crush has been ehem... jesper. and wylan.

now, i tend to only read/write fem reader or gn reader, because i'm a girl.

jesper is bi, ik that. wylan is... is wylan gay? or bi? are we ever told? if someone knows for sure let me know.

anyways, either a jesper x reader/oc, wylan x reader/oc, or the two of them together (wesper) x reader/oc.

i hate breaking up canon couples, so that was the fix.

anyways.

plot.

this would probably take place after ck, but with Mattias still with us. mostly because i want nina.

anyways, the reader/oc is a street/ring fighter. like, this is the barrel, ok. there has to be this kind of stuff.

anyways, kaz needs her for smthn, a mission or whatever. and jesper dont like her for some reason (enemies to loverssss or friendsss if wylan is the only love interest, but i feel this is more jesper or wesper coded than wylan) anyways, she meets the team, stuff happens, they go see her fights, yada yada, she scary.

then like, something happens. maybe her employer (though it would probably be more like inej's situation with an indenture or smthn but fight-y, but idk what that's called) doesn't like whenthey forfeight a match or whatever and is all "fight to the death or win" kinda guy. she forfeights, all beat up whatever, then more beat up by boss guy. or she protects a younger fighter. or a healer. or something.

anyways, something happens, then kaz needs her to come talk to him about the mission or something and sends love interest(s) (jesper, wylan, or wesper) so get her. then we have a soft/angst "let me help you" and "who did this to you."

yeah. that's when jesper and her start to get along and then BOOM story goes on but i have no more ideas.

also, being pinned to a wall. like, enemies to lovers, hello. specifically with a gun to her head or a knife to her neck. like, why is that so hot? but you can't have enemies to lovers without it, i stand by that.

there you go!

Edit: Wylan is gay, confirmed. so therefore, if wylan is a love interest, male reader, or ig gn reader too...? maybe? idk. anyways, there you have it

kpop fic recomendations. i am in dire need of some.

if there are any fics you really like that you want to recommend for other groups, go ahead! these are just the ones i currently read for, but i'm open to more

please no 18+ fics, i'm still a minor so A. that's illegal, and B. it makes me uncomfortable. cursing and mildly suggestive (kissing and that crap) is ok.

there is also a specific type of fic i've been looking for. i want to read an nct dream fic that has the same vibes as nct dream's ()scape films. like that sci fi, locked away, assassin-y feel. so if anyone knows of any of those, please put like an asterisk (* <<that star thing) or an indication next to it!

the fics can be from tumblr, wattpad, quotev, or ao3, i have accounts on all of them.

and finally, if anyone needs fic requests, then just ask me! i've only read fics with the groups above, so it may be limited, but theres some really good ones out there if you know where to look!
