Love the work you’ve put in for the masterlists, especially the buddie list! I was just wondering how you would feel about me turning it into a publicly viewable google sheet so it’s easier to filter for things like fic length? I love using your masterlist instead of just AO3 when looking for a new fic, but sometimes I wish it was easier to find specific things.

Helloooo, first of all...it makes me very happy to know that my masterlist is useful to you!!!!! :) Second, I think it's important for anyone who uses the masterlists to know that they are "private" just because I don't want someone to remove a fic, add another one, put up stories that deal with sensitive topics that I don't agree with (for example: inc*st), etc.

What I always thought because I feel that it is a flaw in the format, and that I see that you agree, is that each division needs to be ordered by the alphabet (as it already is) and, also, by the length of the fics. I was thinking of changing it next month because I feel like it would make everyone's life easier lol.

(I was going to do it this time, but I was busy with other things and uploading all the fics takes me at least two days)

So if that's a problem for you, I'm going to change it next month, and if you or anyone reading this has any more suggestions: TELL ME BELOW OR BY MESSAGE (PUBLIC OR PRIVATE)

I really want this to work for everyone, the more people use it to make it easier to read on AO3, the better.

I want everyone to be able to enjoy the works that exist in the different fandoms in which they participated and that absolutely everyone has the opportunity to access fanfics that perhaps are not popular or are very new works by little-known authors.

I need a Buddie fanfic inspired in "Down Bad" by Taylor Swift's because that song screams Buddie.

Imagine this...

Eddie already left Marisol because he realized that he actually likes men, but Buck is still with Tommy and Eddie realizes that everything he wants in a relationship he already had with his "best friend", but now not even that exists and they have to learn to live in this new world where Buck begins to spend less and less time with the Diaz boys.

"Now I'm down bad crying at the gym

Everything comes out teenage petulance

"What if I can't have him"

"I might just die, it would make no difference."

Down bad, waking up in blood

Staring at the sky, come back and pick me up

What if I can't have us.

I might just not get up

I might stay down bad

What if I can't have him

Down bad

The only moments Eddie and Buck spend together now are in the gym between shifts, and as Buck trains, Eddie thinks about if this is all they're going to do now, if this is all he can have from the man he loves.

If the hands that saved him from bleeding to death in a street on LA would only touch him again just to heal some wound, but would never touch him because they really want to.

Buck will never touch him the way Eddie wants.

"Did you take all my old clothes?

Just to leave me here naked and alone

In a field in my same old town

That somehow seems so hollow now

They'll say I'm nuts if I talk about the existence of you

For a moment I was heaven struck

Like I lost my twin

What if I can't have him

And Buck doesn't notice any of this.

On the rare occasions that he spends the night at the Diaz house, he continues to steal Eddie's sleeping clothes.

And Eddie always has to stop himself from shouting how much he loves him, finding relief only when he sends long messages to Hen, who tells him that it's crazy to suffer so much for Buck if he's not going to do something about it, but Eddie can't do anything.

The prospect of losing Buck feels like a piece of his soul being ripped away.

"Encounters closer and closer

All your indecent exposures

How dare you say that it's -

I'll build you a fort on some planet

Where they can all understand it

How dare you think it's romantic

Leaving me safe and stranded

Cause what if I was in love

What if I can't have us.

And one whole day, it just...explodes, right in Eddie's face who has to listen (again) as Buck talks one night about Tommy, as he is the first person who, beyond seeing Buck for what he really es, he also loves him completely, unconditionally, and Eddie just can't stand it because it's not true.

It isn't true.

Because Eddie has loved Buck for everything he is for years and he's not going to stay silent again.

He refuses the idea of living in a world where Evan Buckley doesn't know that the first person who loved him with all his heart is Eddie Diaz.

(And we could have an chapter dedicated solely to Buck figuring out his life and returning a week later to his favorite couch because he's not willing to lose the love of Eddie Diaz.)

Did you know that you can read any fanfic on AO3 without the need for it to have another separate work that is translated into your language?

If you are familiar with my blog, you should know that I make masterlists of fanfics from different fandoms and I read at least more than 80 works per month on AO3, but perhaps you don't know that English is not actually the language I use in my daily life and absolutely all the works I read are in English, so...How do I do it?

Well....

When a fanfic has a translation approved by the original author, I read that, but most don't so I use the following method:

When you open a new story, it appears like this:

To translate the story you need to go to those three points at the top:

Then, you must go to the part that says "traducir..." (if your cell phone is in English, this will look like "translate...")

And that's it, the chapter translates by itself!

You have to do this every chapter and the translation is not 100% correct (especially in text fics because a lot of abbreviations are used), but this is easy to distinguish if you understand even the most basic of the language and can simply put it back into the original language and look up the word that you don't think has a good translation.

You may already know this and consider this post obvious, but if you didn't, I feel that this is something useful for everyone and that it helps the original authors of the stories receive the credit they deserve and that their works do not end up being stolen for translations!

I need a fanfic where Buck's loft gets trashed for some reason, he has to move out and decides to move in with Tommy, but...he doesn't feel good.

Buck decides to go with Tommy because they are a couple and that's what couples do and his boyfriend is genuinely the perfect partner, but his couch is uncomfortable, his neighbors are noisy when Buck tries to sleep, Tommy never buys the right brand of beer...

And Buck puts up with it, because it's a new relationship and everyone tells him he has to get used to it and he really wants it to work.

But it doesn't feel good.

And one day, when Tommy has a 48-hour shift, he decides that's enough.

Eddie has been walking around a house that feels too quiet for almost a month and he just wants to scream.

Break something again.

And Chris is at a sleepover with his friends and Eddie doesn't know what to do other than watch a movie, until the door opens and closes so fast he thinks he imagined it, but no.

Buck is there, taking off his shoes, asking if he's okay and if Eddie has any beer and Eddie thinks it's all a fucking joke because...how dare he?

How dare Buck show up here, after a month of practically only seeing each other at work and only talking to Chris at night when they play on the computer?

How dare Buck come to his house, unannounced, using the key Eddie gave him?

How dare he come here, pretend there isn't a black hole between them that's been forming since Buck didn't choose Eddie's house as his new home?

With all these questions, Eddie turns off the TV, follows Buck into the kitchen, and decides that yelling all this is better than putting the broken furniture in his room back together for the second time in his life.

So... as the girl with the fanfic masterlist I want one with this plot where Buddie ends well after a big argument and maybe with a long dramatic kiss after Buck fixes his whole situation.

As the girl with the Buddie fanfic masterlist I need a story where Eddie just....walks away.

I need a fanfic where it's summer vacation, and Buck ignored Eddie and Chris again because of his new relationship but this time it's worse because Tommy is truly a good couple and Eddie can't complain about it, he can't tell Buck the truth, that seeing him with another man is worse than going to war.

So he just grabs Chris, tells Bobby he needs some time, just a break, and his captain understands and lets him go to a house one of Eddie's relatives has somewhere far away in Texas.

But Eddie leaves and...never tells Buck that he's leaving.

And Buck comes to his shift and Bobby says that Eddie isn't coming back for a while and Buck loses his mind.

Calls, messages and nothing.

Tommy understands, he always knew that on Buck's priority list he was going to lose out and it's time to be friends.

And Buck decides it's time to get back on the road, like so many years ago, but instead of running away from his family, he goes in search of them.

And when he arrives (mad as hell about everything), he finds Eddie happy, with a new friend who makes Buck question everything he knows about the world.

And now it's Eddie's time to decide whether to stay in this new fantasy or return home.

Back to Buck.

I just... he had a little sister that he loved more than anything. he followed thea around like a lost little duckling. he was in love with his best friend and it almost destroyed him. he uses pain to both punish himself and stave off panic attacks. he survived five years of brutal torture and abuse by the skin of his teeth. his parents sold him. his little sister is dead. he wants to burn the house down. he cannot cook or shop for himself. he hates his old teammates. he loves his old teammates. he quite possibly loves his new teammates even more. he frets for the safety of people he barely knows. he's terrified of water, of being bitten, of being hurt again. he laughed when his worst abuser was dethroned and beaten and then tried to kill himself in solidarity.

he's finding reasons to live, day by day, one step at a time. a cool evening breeze, rainbows, open roads, friends.

he is jean moreau. he knows his place. he will endure.

That Eddie Díaz needs much more than a pretty man with a helicopter to realize that that feeling of pretending, of never fitting in, of always following his instincts but never what his heart wants, are actually all the things that happen to him because he doesn't want to see that he loves other men the way he was told all his life to love women.

That Eddie Díaz, who just needs to look inside himself for a while longer, make more progress than he already does, and realize that he already loves another man and has a perfect life waiting for him if he's willing to take it.
