Hello all.
I’m Blake Thunderport, an autistic author.
In my previous book, Verra of Wolves, I wrote about a NT protagonist falling in love with an autistic character. (Long story short, the focus was not on the autistic character or the autism-aspect.)
Now, I’d like to start a new project SPECIFICALLY tailored to our reading needs and expectations.
Therefore:
If a story with an autistic protagonist was written to your taste, what would it look like?
(Let’s say fantasy, dystopia, horror, urban, romance, sci fi - settings.)
Example: In no way would I like to read about a non-vocal autistic girl that “combats” her autism by singing in front of a big audience. No. Just no. Period.
Again: This is supposed to be a story written by an autistic author for the autistic community.

I finally did it: My first book ‘Verra Of Wolves’ is now available for pre-order! It is an atypical YA Fantasy-Romance. 41k words.
It offers:
A relatable female protagonist. Characters with strong personalities. Strong POC supporting characters. Authentic autistic characters. LGBTQ+ inclusive romance. Complex world-building. Re-readability because of Clues and Symbols. Plot twists. And a healthy mixture of ancient and modern witchcraft/religion.
Book Description:
**My kind was wiped from the surface of our world; I am the last Witch walking on its soil.**
After surviving the Uraian Witch-hunt, Verra Volkov flees the Orange Desert. But when she follows her grandfather’s footsteps and enrols in the Dicheval Academy, she meets Claire Di Centi. Now, being a Witch becomes her last worry. Tangled in Di Centi’s web, she believes to have uncovered the reason for her arrival, forgetting that a higher power is at play. Accompany Verra on a journey of self-discovery as she is torn between politics, witchcraft and love.
It took me two years to write it. During this time I went through a painful period of my life. This was the only thing keeping me alive. After I got diagnosed with Autism, I lost my latest job and figured that I should focus on my passion: Writing, witchcraft and giving silenced stories a voice. All this is combined in Verra Of Wolves. The purpose of this book is to make you feel something.
