I have a headcanon that Bruce used to be terrified of guns (because when your parents are shot in front of you at an extremely early age, it's a tiny little bit traumatic). And it took him a long time to go from a complete panic attack to barely noticeable flinching due to the shots next to him. He could hide it really well tho, with the amount of kidnapping he dealt with, he had to, but internally he was losing his shit every single time.
Yet, Bruce was always the first to volunteered to be hostage at the gala and stood resolutely at gunpoint, protecting others. Not because he wasn't scared, but because he truly believed, still does, that these people, even the most unpleasant ones, had a family that would mourn them, and if someone had to die, it should be him.

Interesting detail about the Wayne family picture (the Batman 2022)
Tumblr media
SO FIRST, this picture was taken at Wayne Manor, before they moved to Wayne Tower (for those who didn’t know, Thomas gave their manor to Gotham City to serve as an orphanage when Bruce was 6 years old. It’s where Edward eventually grew up, and where we see Thomas make his speech in the movie.)
What's interesting about this photo, is the fact that we can see a copy of The Zohar on the bookshelf. This implies that the Wayne family (probably more his mother, but again I don't know since in this universe she's an Arkham...) has Jewish heritage and is symbolic as the book deals with themes such as Ego, redemption, darkness and "the true self".
AGAIN, I'm pretty sure it would be Bruce's mother who is Jewish - since the Wayne family has been established as christians (Episcopalian most of the time) and viewed as an extremely old American family in basically every iteration. More like an older version of the Kennedy/Rockerfeller families that hasn't been diluted by multiple heirs.
And I think it's really interesting, maybe Thomas was just interested about studying it ? Or Maybe the IRL owner of the house is jewish ?
But anyways, Bruce is most of the time portrayed as a Christian, who eventually grew up and became an atheist.

When I say there are things that Israel will never ever take away from Palestinians I also mean the way the fight for Palestine is ingrained into every aspect of our lives, down to even the names we give our children who come decades and decades after our initial Nakba.
For example, Bisan is a very popular girls name in Palestine and it is the name of a Palestinian city that was depopulated by Israel in 1948. Girls with names like Bisan, Yafa and Jenin may not have seen these cities yet, but they carry them within them regardless.
Also, many Palestinians can identify with how our aunts and uncles have symbolic names such as A'ed or A'eda which mean returnee. These names were not chosen arbitrarily by our grandparents who were forced to raise their families in refugee camps. Similarly, there are names like Thaer (revolutionary), Bassel (courageous) and Nidhal (revolutionary struggle) that are very common to this day.
We are literally walking around carrying notions of Palestine and our struggle with us and planting the seeds of resistance within our children, we must be so frustrating!

I feel I should specify when I talk about the vast majority of Israelis supporting this genocide it's not to call for violence of them or even to demonise them. It's to call attention to Israel having a genocidal education system which dehumanises Palestinians from the moment Israelis start school. Ilan Pappé did a study in 1994 of the Israeli education system and raised the alarm that it would raise a generation who are even worse than those who first colonised Palestine in 1948. We're seeing the truth of that now.
I raise this point because we're seeing this attempt by politicians and the media to claim that it's just Netanyahu who is to blame for this genocide and not a systematic problem that requires boycotting, divestments and sanctions to push them to correct. This lie is being pushed because they do not want to change the status quo which allows for Israel to steal Palestinian land and homes and keep Palestinians under military occupation.

— The Waynes like the American royals or the Kennedys…
[ Matt Reeves, director of The Batman, spoke about his opinion on Thomas and Martha Wayne. The director revealed that his version of the Waynes was inspired by British or American royalty such as the Kennedy family. ] via KCRW
Tumblr media
KCRW: So many of the movie iterations of Batman going back to Tim Burton’s are about how Bruce Wayne is basically a part that he plays. And the Bruce Wayne that we see in "The Batman" is somebody who doesn't have that kind of equipment, who isn't shaped in that way, who doesn't find this kind of release in pretending to be something that he isn't. Both of his lives bleed into his alter ego and his more public iteration.
REEVES : “One of the things that was interesting to me was to focus on not an origin tale because we'd seen Burton had done that so well, and Nolan did it so well. I wanted to do an early years “Batman” and Bruce Wayne. And it was important to me that while it wasn't an origin story, he was, in the early years of what he was doing, and was still trying to make sense of himself, was still a young man trying to put himself together and find a way to function. This idea of not yet understanding even the asset that being Bruce Wayne could be, the way that other iterations of the character have where they realize, oh, I can be Bruce Wayne, and that can be another kind of mask. He's just not together enough yet to even understand how valuable that's gonna be.
I was interested in the idea that Bruce was at a stage where he couldn't bear the weight of the history of being part of the Waynes. I thought it might be a bit like a member of the Kennedy family like the American royals, or what a British royal would be like in the wake of a tragedy and how a lens has been put on you because of a family tragedy that you couldn't have never escape. And so his response would be to want to withdraw from all of this and not understand that in the mission that he was trying to do to try to make sense of his life, he might be able to use what had happened to him as a kind of mask, which could be useful to him.
This whole movie is about him coming into being. It's not about him mastering himself. Of course, it's a fantastical notion that you could master yourself. I mean, nobody masters themselves. What was really interesting was seeing somebody who was trying to master himself, but had a tremendous amount of what he was doing that he didn't yet even have awareness of. He wasn't aware of his motivations. And I was thinking about the idea of masks and sort of Jungian psychology and him being driven by his shadow side. That whole idea that in Jungian psychology, you're supposed to make yourself aware of those shadow impulses so that you're able to incorporate them into your life. I like the idea of him being at this stage in his life, where he really wasn't seeing that, and he didn't understand everything that was driving him because he was in a kind of emotional freefall. ”

#they seriously make no sense
“Release The Hostages” is such an interesting statement. The Israeli hostages taken by Hamas are often used to justify the starving, bombing, r*ping and killing of thousands of civilians in Gaza. These Israeli lives are placed above that of the starving children, of the mothers who have lost their babies, of the women and girls r*ped by the IDF, of the fathers, brothers, grandparents, of the disabled Palestinians unable to get to safety or access essential medical services. So we wonder…
Do Zionists think that flattening Gaza, where the hostages are, with near constant bombardment, is in any way productive in releasing the Israeli (settler) hostages?
Do Zionists not think it’s incredibly strange that Netanyahu rejected a hostage deal from Hamas, because he’s way more concerned with “absolute victory” (complete destruction of Gaza) than rescuing the hostages?
And finally, do Zionists not find it even more strange that the most technologically advanced and sophisticated elite Israeli military, complete with Mossad agents, resort to bombing Gaza beyond repair as opposed to… infiltrating the ground to rescue the hostages themselves…?
If you think bombing the location where the hostages possibly are is saving anybody, and if you think Israel are doing any of this or anything to rescue them, then you are beyond help.

00 — Prologue.
Bruce felt strange being back in the old house.
He and his parents had lived in the mansion, Wayne Manor, until he was six years old. Then they’d donated their sprawling home to Gotham City to serve as an orphanage and moved into their current residence, Wayne Tower.
Now he was ten years old, and his father, Thomas Wayne, was running for mayor. His dad had decided to announce his candidacy at the orphanage. So Bruce and his parents had returned to their former home for a visit.
As they climbed the grand staircase to the second floor, Bruce remembered playing on the stairs. He saw the door to a closet and recalled crouching behind the hanging coats for a game of hide-and-seek, waiting for his mother to find him, laughing. It was a big house, full of great places to hide. Even though he liked their new home in Wayne Tower, Bruce realized he missed the old house. He’d been happy there. Seeing it again, he felt a kind of ache.
Upstairs, in what had once been a ballroom, the orphanage’s choir stood on risers, singing a medley of patriotic songs. The Waynes had called the long hall “the party room,” only using it when they entertained large numbers of guests. But when it was empty, Bruce had played in the big room, rolling toy race cars across the gleaming wooden floor all by himself. The floor didn’t seem as shiny now as it had then, when it reflected the light from the sparkling chandeliers hanging overhead. Bruce glanced up. The chandeliers had been replaced with sturdier, more practical light fixtures. They were a little dusty.
TV cameras were set up to capture his father’s announcement for the evening news. Reporters from newspapers and magazines waited with recorders and notepads. Photographers snapped pictures. Thomas Wayne’s campaign manager handed out copies of his remarks. Orphanage staff members looked around nervously, hoping everything would go smoothly. The residents had been warned repeatedly to be on their very best behavior.
The medley came to an end. The woman conducting the choir turned toward the cameras and smiled. There was scattered applause from the small group gathered for the candidate’s announcement. The reporters weren’t sure how to react to the music. They’d come for a news event, not a concert.
Now that the orphans had stopped watching their conductor, Bruce felt as though they were all staring at him. There’s the rich kid who used to live here, they were probably all thinking. The billionaire’s son. Bruce wanted to look away, stare at the floor. But he knew his parents were counting on him to make a good impression, so he looked back at the kids in the choir. They’re weren’t all looking at him, too excited by the TV cameras and photographers to care that much about a ten-year-old kid in an expensive suit.
Except for one boy.
He was scrawny, with aviator-style wire-rimmed glasses. His clothes seemed a little too big. They were hand-me-downs he hadn’t grown into yet. And he was looking straight at Bruce. Why is he staring at me? Bruce thought. Do I look weird or something? He wished the kid would look away. But then he felt sorry for the guy, living in an orphanage without any parents. Even though he didn’t really feel like smiling, Bruce forced himself to give the kid a friendly smile.
The kid continued to stare. He didn’t smile back.

We're united, we're similar, we're close and they hate that, they envy that, they know that this is our power and they want to separate us for it, we have to remind each other that we're family and there's no chance that they'll come between us

You forgot other important atrocities on Israel side, such as :
— RAPING PALESTINIAN WOMEN FOR DECADES AND GETTING AWAY WITH IT,
— raping Palestinian prisoners ( Men and Women as well as children ),
— kidnapping children,
— killing animals for sports (cats, dogs, horses SPECIALLY when it’s an animal that Palestinian can eat it like goats)
— taking nude photos of Palestinian women after stripping them, and then posting it on social media to humiliate them.
— burning/bombing babies to pieces as well as sniping children for fun,
— torturing them for fun,
— human shields,
— stealing Palestinian organs,
— humiliating Palestinians in any shapes of form : IOF soldiers taking photos with Palestinians women lingerie, mocking their religions ect,
— starving them to death,
— taking hostages,
— setting fire to food supplies,
— blocking humanitarian trucks,
— bombing all their hospitals,
— killing journalists, UN members, medical staff, artists ect
— Looting and Vandalism : stealing their jewelry, make-up, money or anything really from dead Palestinians.
— treating them like animals,
— bombing houses for fun,
— crushing Palestinian human bodies with their tanks.
Sadly the list goes on and on…
The accusations you made about Hamas were actually debunked, investigated and proven false. Most of the victims during October 7th were killed by their own military.
« Every Zionist accusation is a confession. » Colonizers cunningly deflect guilt by accusing the oppressed of their own crimes, distorting the truth to mask their own brutality.
I’m not okay with what I see on Instagram with the war. Even if I block it, I still see it.
The only side I chose is the side of the victims.
In this case, both sides are victims.
Palestinians are victims due to Israel terrorising them for 75 years.
But now Israeli people are victims to because of the extreme violence they answered with.
But: Hamas:
Shooting dogs because you saw one and felt like it is not okay.
Burning children alive is not okay. Killing babies because being born a Jew is a ‘sin’ is not okay.
Raping woman is not okay.
AND Israel:
Taking someone’s house not okay
Blocking the water is not okay
Letting them rot and live with no home is not okay. Let them be free
Killing Palestinians is not okay
Murder/rape or any form of violence is not okay
