May be controversial, but one reason why I think that Jason wishes he'd stayed dead is that he now has to live with the knowledge that his own birth mother, the woman he'd fought hard to find, sold him and led him right into his murderer's hands without a second thought. And Jason has to live with it. He probably thinks about it as soon as he wakes up, and when he's dozing off after patrol. You can't just forget about something like that. No amount of therapy could ever fix it.

I think my ideal version of Bruce Wayne is the type of man that Cecil Stedman is. Think about it: a controlling bastard who gives his 'colleagues' the illusion that they have control over what they do, but they don't. But he's also caring, in a way, he's reliable and provides all the other needs. Not a fluffy teddybear, but not a complete asshole either.

Look okay, I'm not saying these two are one for one copies of each other, and there's probably some essay in here somewhere about grief vs anger and neglect vs abuse and how those things can and do intersect.
