Summary:

Cordelia knows about Y/N’s regression but Y/N still has doubts and is nervous to show Cordelia their little side. What will happen when Y/N regresses involuntarily?

Y/N slowly wakes up to Cordelia’s arms around their waist and smiles when they hear Cordelia calling their name. “Good morning sunshine “ Cordelia says softly. Y/N giggles when Cordelia’s hair tickles their face. “ How are you this morning little bug?” Cordelia asks. There’s a reason behind all the cute nicknames coming from Cordelia. When Y/N came to Cordelia a couple months in the relationship, Y/N explained that they were an age regressor and Cordelia was more than happy to be Y/N’s caregiver but Y/N still had some doubts about Cordelia being their caregiver. Cordelia wanted nothing more to help Y/N regress but recently she saw Y/N was piling work on themselves and stressing themselves out. “I’m good Delia” Y/N said in a small voice. Cordelia smiles and turns to Y/N to face her. Cordelia gives Y/N a quick kiss in their nose making Y/N giggle loudly. “Are you ready to get up sweetness?” Cordelia asks and Y/N replies with a nod.

Cordelia sits up and goes into the bathroom to wash her face. The two get ready for the day and Cordelia gives Y/N a kiss before heading to her office. Y/N grabs their stuff and heads to their first class. Throughout the day Y/N kept messing up on spells and was overworking themselves. As soon as the last class was over Y/N rushed to their shared room with Cordelia. They threw their stuff down and hid under their covers. Y/N rushing out of the room didn’t go unnoticed by Zoe. Zoe walks to Cordelia’s office and knocks on her door. “Come in,” Cordelia calls. Zoe walks into Cordelia’s office and sits in the chair I. Front of the desk.

“What’s up? '' Cordelia says, putting down her glasses. “Um it’s about Y/N. They rushed out of the class and I was just worried about them, '' Zoe expressed. Cordelia nodded and stood up from her desk. “I’ll go see what’s the matter” Cordelia says before leaving the room. Cordelia goes straight to her and Y/N’s room. “Y/N, baby? Where are you, little bug” Cordelia says worried. Cordelia turns her head when she hears sniffles coming from the bed. She sees Y/N sit up and their eyes are red and puffy from crying. “Oh angel. What’s wrong? '' Cordelia says.

Y/N just cries more with their lip out and making grabby hands at Cordelia. Cordelia’s face softens and she smiles. “ Hey there little one. Do you need your mommy baby? I’m here my love” Cordelia says walking over to the bed and picking up Y/N. Y/N just babbles at Cordelia the minute she picks Y/N up. Cordelia smiles at her little one. “You’re such a cute baby. Mommy’s little baby” Cordelia coos at Y/N. Y/N just Babbles at Cordelia in response. Y/N starts crying again in their mommy’s arms. “What’s wrong, little bug? You hungry baby” She asks and Y/N just cries more. Cordelia grabs Y/N’s bottle from their drawer and carries Y/N to the kitchen with Y/N burying their face in Cordelia’s necks.

Cordelia sets Y/N on a chair and fills up their bottle with milk and heats it up in the microwave. Cordelia tests the milk to make sure it’s not too and gives it to y/N. Cordelia picks Y/N back up and goes back to their shared room. Cordelia lays down on the bed with Y/N in her arms and rests their head in her chest. Y/N drink their milk and starts to fall asleep. Cordelia starts rubbing their back to soothe them to sleep. Y/N falls asleep in Cordelia’s arms. When y/N wakes up they are still regressed but aged up to 3. “Mommy” Y/N calls softly. Y/N’s eyes look across the room looking for their mommy and she is nowhere to be found. Y/N’s lip starts to quiver and their eyes start to fill with tears.

“M-mommy” Y/N calls again but no answer.

Y/N starts crying and calling for their mommy. “Mommy!” Y/N cries loudly. After a bit Zoe hears their cries and enters the room. “ Hey there little one, what’s wrong? '' Zoe says softly, walking up to them. “ I wan my mommy” Y/N cries. “ okay love. Let’s go find her together, yeah?” Zoe says, holding out her hand. Y/N gets up and holds Zoe’s hand and follows her out of the room while wiping their tears. Zoe leads Y/N to Cordelia’s office and knocks on the door. “ Cordelia?” Zoe calls.

“Come in” she replies. Zoe leadsY/N into Cordelia’s office. Cordelia immediately looks up when she hears little sniffles. “She woke up crying for her mommy. I heard her when I was passing by” Zoe explains. Cordelia’s face softens and she smiles. “Aww I’m sorry sunshine. I’m sorry I wasn’t there when you woke up. Can you forgive mommy “ Cordelia says sweetly. “Yes mommy” Y/N says softly and lets go of Zoe’s hand and walks up the Cordelia’s side of the desk. Zoe’s leaves and Cordelia turns to Y/N.

Cordelia wipes the rest of their tears away and smiles. “There we are sweetness. Now mommy has to get a little bit of work done. Can you sit down and watch cartoons while mommy works” Cordelia asks. “Yes mommy” Y/N says softly. Cordelia pulls out her phone and puts on Bluey. Y/N goes and sits on a chair and watches Bluey for a while before looking at their mommy and wishing to be closer to her. Y/N gets up from the chair and sits the phone on the floor. Then they sit on the floor and rests their head on Cordelia’s lap. Y/N lays their head on her leg before she feels Cordelia stroking Y/N’s hair with her fingers.

After a little longer Cordelia is finished and sees Y/N asleep with their head in their lap. She smiles before combing her fingers through Y/N’s hair. “ little bug. Wake up” Cordelia says. Y/N makes a grumble and slowly wakes up. “Hi mommy” Y/N says half asleep. “Are you hungry baby? Want to eat some dinner” Cordelia asks. “ Yeth pease mommy” Y/N says softly. “You’re such a cute puppy. Mommy’s cute little pup” Cordelia coos. Y/N giggles at Cordelia’s words. After dinner and getting a bath Y/N and Cordelia were ready for bed. “ Alright sunshine, are you ready for bed?” Cordelia asks.

“Yes mommy! I weady” Y/N said giggling. “ oh really? I’m sure sure about that because….you have had your….kisses” Cordelia exclaimed before grabbing Y/N and pulling them on top of her and covering her face with kisses all over. Y/N’s giggles fill the room. Cordelia lays Y/N down next to her. The both get under the covers. Cordelia pulls Y/N and they cuddle with Cordelia being the big spoon and Y/N the little spoon. “ good night mama. Wub chu” Y/N says yawing. “ good night bug. I love you too. Cordelia says putting Y/N’s hair behind their ear.

Also the non-linear storytelling completely results in….no storytelling imo. Nintendo is so aware of the fact that players might not do things in the order they want (if they even do them at all) so all the information has to be really minimal and repetitive in case somebody only does one temple or whatever. TP and OOT and MM and literally every other Zelda game put you directly in the path of the main antagonists or have really drastic things happen while you’re there. Where TOTK/BOTW it’s like, everything really intense happened a super long time ago and you watch a video about it and then go back to hunting frogs or whatever

#that’s why the chasms are soooo good. it’s really classic Zelda imo #zoeposting #also I’m sorry but I cannot care about characters if MY character doesn’t get to interact with them #rauru (that’s the goat guys name?) was so endearing on that first island where he appeared as a ghost #but watching him in cutscenes it’s like. I could care less about this man #plus so many Zelda games like. give you extensive time with Zelda #in the story. as a part of major plot beats #where TOTK it’s like. they literally share a house and I feel nothing for her lol #and it might sound hypocritical bc #‘Zoe they do the story beats in other games in cutscenes too!’#yes but it’s after a plot related event. so in TP you escape from the dungeon as a wolf and then at the end of the level you meet Zelda #in oot sheik shows up at the temple of time after a major story moment #in botw you go to a random location and watch a memory of something that happened 100 years ago. it’s so different #which speaking of: I love what they did with geurdo town #of all the town situations I thought that was the coolest and most effective
