thinking abt a trashy vegas wedding w atsumu... he proposes and both of you are like “i don’t wanna wait if you don’t wanna wait” and it’s like. eloping is sooo atsumu he’s so impulsive once he realizes that he wants to marry you that’s all he can think about. and everything always feels so much lighter when you’re with him he’s sunshine personified so why wouldn’t you drop everything and say i do. and even though atsumu’s a show off he feels like a big wedding would just be so stressful and annoying. when the two of you start wedding planning and ppl warn him about how they don’t remember anything from their weddings because they were too busy thanking everyone for coming, that they didn’t even get to sit down to eat together... and he’s like “...why the fuck would we do that?”

The FaceTime ring chimed as Nadia adjusted her phone on the dashboard of her car, her cradled body in the driver's seat as she sniffled and wiped her tears with the back of her hand.
"Yo. What's-" Lewis made sure to look at his phone correctly to see the sight before him. "Nads? Are you okay? Where are you?" Lewis asked, slowing the car down a bit.
"I'm in the school parking lot with some pastries next to me." She sniffed again before continuing. "Like I don't know if I can even go in there after our posts because those kids are ruthless and also these pastries are so good and this car is giving me so much stress and you're so pretty and i can't get raye tickets and this wig didn't wanna lay this morning and jeez, it's just so much and i'm just a girl." Nadia rambled as she hid her face in her hands, not even looking at her phone.
"Sorry to call you so early but I had no one else to call so I just decided to call my husband. Do you wanna see the pastries? This girl gave them to me for free in the bakery." She spoke, tucking her hair behind her ear and grabbing the pink box to show Lewis, not missing how big his smile was.
"What?"
"Nads, do you wanna talk about it? There's a lot to unpack." He asked, his face holding a smug expression as he watched her place the box down and give him a look.
"No thanks, we can keep everything in the bag. Anyways, I'm the only one in the parking lot and I've got a class in 25 minutes but I don't wanna see my colleagues." She said, looking out of her window to see if anyone was lurking around. "Where you headed?" She snapped her attention back to him.
"Brackley. Got a meeting with the team for upgrades." He said, eventually speeding up the car and she nodded. "Okay don't go quiet on me. Have you checked your socials yet?" Lewis asked the girl. "Nope, I muted the app after Rihanna called me sexy." She replied with a big smile on her face, making him jokingly roll his eyes. "I'm assuming you did the same?" She asked and it was his turn to nod.
"So just to make you aware, I'm free on Wednesday after 12 so if your friends are available maybe we can meet them then?" Nadia suggested, packing her stuff up as she sat properly in the car seat. "Uh I'm sure they'll be cool with that. We can have a thing at my place, like a game night or something. Also why are you leaving work early that day?" He asked, stopping at a red light and put all his attention on her.
"School's are closing for like two weeks." She answered.
"Well then, have you ever been to Miami?"
"No..." she gave him a side eye as he continued to drive, the engine roaring.
"Well, we're going there next week for the Grand Prix so do you want to go? Then afterwards we leave for Malibu."
"But what if I wanted to watch Love Island during that weekend?" She muttered, making the man giggle.
"You can watch Love Island in Miami." He smiled, seeing her jokingly roll her eyes. "Fine. But wait, who do I need to speak to for like flight tickets and race stuff?" She mentioned.
"Tia'll have everything ready." He assured her, kind of surprised at how willingly she agreed to his proposal, something he had been nervously thinking about the whole morning.
"Alright then, pookie bear. Talk later, I have to face those ruthless critics i call my kids." She picked up her phone and did a little pose, to which Lewis didn't hesitate to take a Facetime photo of. They both waved at each other cutely before hanging up.
"You're the flyest babe on the planet, you can do this." Nadia hyped herself as she gathered her things and got out of her car.
The hallways were empty, the silence gnawing at her as she glanced through some doors to see students either sleeping on their desks or actually focused on what the teacher was saying.
Continuously taking deep breaths as she got closer and closer to her designated classroom, she could hear her Year 12 students talking about whatever gossip was going around the school. Goosebumps slightly covered her skin as she held her arm out to touch the door handle, her conscience screaming at her to turn around and drive home just to stress about this very situation.
Eventually gaining the confidence, she opened the door and it was as if the world stood still. All her students turned around to look at their frightened yet fashionable teacher slowly walk to her desk as she tried her hardest to not make any eye contact with their smug faces.
Placing her things down onto her little shelf next to her organised desk, she flipped her hair a little and walked to the front of her desk, leaning her whole body weight against it.
"Now before you lot start with your questions, just know I wasn't ready to be out there yet and truly, I wanted to tell you guys a while ago but now was a good time for the..launch." She announced and watched as her students continued to smirk at her, her heartbeat rising as the silence grew more and more.
"Can we see the ring?" A student, Daniela, asked loudly as she walked closer to her teacher. The minute Nadia extended her shaky hand out, they all came flocking to get a closer look at the diamond ring.
Eventually settling the class down with the fear that the Headmaster could just pop in, everyone was seated as Nadia was racking her brain on how she could sell this marriage to teenagers who could definitely see right through her.
"So how did you two meet then? You mentioned that you were from Stevenage like a while back." Vicky, the class leader, asked sitting in the front row and maintained eye contact with Nadia the whole time.
"Well it was our parents actually. They're all really close but Lewis and I never built that bond for all these years. It took a dinner invite from his parents for us to really fancy each other. We properly met the year I started teaching here." Nadia was cheesing, proud of the story she came up with that was half-true.
She could tell that their gears were turning in their heads, making comments to each other as if they were judges on a panel. Nadia hadn't expected the silence that would follow after each of her answers but it was quite unsettling.
"Since you said you weren't seeing anybody and you weren't the least bit interested in Formula one, how'd you end up with thee Sir Lewis Hamilton?" One of her male students asked from the back, Nathan. "I'm still very clueless about that sport and that's why I wanted you guys to teach me today. Can I count on you guys to help?" Nadia asked, pulling her chair closer to her desk as she clasped her hands together to look around her classroom to capture all the excited faces.
"James, where's the slideshow?!" "Ha! Give me my money." "We used to pray for times like this!" "Wait till Miss hears about brocedes!"
Those were amongst the shouts from her students, reminding her that she couldn't leave them alone even if she wanted.
Interrupting her train of thought as her students scrambled around the classroom, her phone buzzed with two notifications following each other. Opening her phone and heading for iMessages, she audibly gasped when she saw what Lewis had just sent her.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"What are you blushing at, Miss?" A kid pointed out, Nadia not even realising she was smiling quite hard at her phone.
"Do you want to teach me about F1 or should we go back to the French Revolution?" She sassed, making the class groan as they all somewhat surrounded a desk and whiteboard for her F1 lesson.
-
WEDNESDAY.
Holding the tub of cookies close to her, she thought back to the previous days and what her students informed her about the sport. As much as she can admit that she had forgotten most things they told her, a few thoughts lingered in her mind throughout the days, her emotions were on all time high for the man she married. Not wanting to come to one sided conclusions, Nadia decided to address these issues with Lewis when the time was right.
It doesn't help that she, once again, went down a rabbit hole of Lewis to see what his fans were like and how they thought of him from their perspective.
A knock from her front door snapping her out of her head, standing to open it up. Lewis stood there dressed ever so casually with a graphic tee and shorts paired with high top Jordans. Nadia would never say it out loud but seeing him wearing a cap, be it in a picture or right in front of her, brought slight butterflies to her stomach.
"The person who handles security downstairs is really looking out for you. Also, hello Nads." He smiled as he brought his hands forward to show a pink box with croissants inside, Nadia's heart melting, he remembered that she said she likes this specific bakery when they first met.
"Lewis, you didn't have to. Thank you." She said patting him on his exposed arm, wanting to keep her hand there for a little longer. "Hello to you too. Why do you say that about the guards?" She asked, taking the box of pastries from his hand and cradling it close to her, walking into her small kitchen to place them next to the flowers from the weekend.
"Well, when I drove in, he warned me about all the people who came to the entrance overnight. Apparently, they would go from building to building looking...for you." He said, slowly closing the front door as he walked into her home.
The goosebumps were very evident, her tattoos eerily coming to life with fear. "O-oh. Tia did warn me about this, just never expected this so early on." Nadia nervously smiled, the multiple locks on her door not enough to make her feel safe. "Hey hey, it's okay. I know this is overwhelming. Would you be more comfortable with a few of my security guys to be around until you make your moving decisions?" He asked, placing a hand on her shoulder. Seeing how scared she was and how she seemed to be overthinking it, he desperately wanted to change the subject.
Choosing to not answer verbally, she nodded and gave the man a small smile as she lifted herself off her kitchen counter. "Let's get the negatives out," Nadia sighed out. "Let me get my shoes and phone then we can get to your place in time. You can wait on the couch for now." She turned around, looking straight  ahead as she headed for her bedroom.
Taking the invitation, Lewis made his way to the comfortable looking grey couch. Beneath his feet sat a custom carpet in the shape of the infamous Murakami flower logo, a small smile etched on his face. The living room filled with all types of scented candles and incense sticks, two plants on either side of the tv stand. A full length mirror hung on the wall right in between the kitchen and living room, the arch of it filled with star stickers. A few vinyls were plastered onto the wall behind him with something written underneath each one and a custom piece of art sat in between the black discs, a painted picture of two people hugging with matching NY caps on. The little signature at the bottom spelling out 'Rea' and tiny initials signing 'R + N'.
Oh, the guilt sunk in quite quickly in those few moments as he observed a small part of her home. That's exactly what it was to Nadia, her home. Purely hers. Everything in his sight clearly held a special significance to the woman and because of his situations, he was taking that away from her. Her 'best teacher' pillows sat neatly on the couch, definitely gifted to her by her students that she loved. The picture frames and polaroids sat nicely on the side table, Nadia's smile wide and bright as she had stood with family and posed wildly with her friends.
His scandalous decisions had roped in a woman who looked like she had finally found her own way in life and he was taking that away from her. Everything she had worked for would be reduced to just being known as his wife. The thought making him cringe as he could picture the headlines.
Nadia fixed her shoelaces quickly as she found Lewis sitting on her couch staring at nothing, his arm sat high on the edge of the couch. "Lew? Are you okay?" The woman's soft voice went into his ear, his head turning to see her ready to go. The Barcelona jersey untucked, her jean shorts displaying the very few tattoos she had on her legs and the gold anklet contrasting with the stark white appearance of her Air forces.
"I know we're about to leave but do you mind if we talk a bit?" He asked, sitting on the edge of the couch and clasping his hands together. "What? You about to divorce me already?" Nadia joked but seeing him give the smallest smile only for it to fade away slightly scared her. Going to sit next to him, she sat one of her pillows over her lap and leaned on her elbows to hear what he had to say.
"Are you truly sure about this marriage? I feel like everything's just hitting you all at once and I feel bad. It feels as if I'm taking away your independence all because of stupid things people have said about me. I looked around and you already made a life for yourself and I don't want to do anything to hurt you." Lewis confessed, hands constantly fidgeting with the rings he had on. He was so sure that he would see her agree with him but seeing her downward smile surprised him.
"We already signed the papers, Lew, and it's going to sting you like a bee if we even think of letting this go. From my perspective, we're two people who are building a friendship who just happen to be married. I still am anxious about leaving my life behind but one thing I won't allow for myself is to be deduced to be someone's wife, no offence." She stated, seeing him nod.
Breathing in a little before continuing, she sat a bit comfortably on the couch facing him. "This is a very weird situation, one that not a lot of people go through but we're learning and that's the cool part. You and I have lived incredibly different lives and there's a reason why our lives are intertwining so much. I just ask for some time to figure out how to live in the limelight, right now I'm grateful for the journey. Except for the ysl heels, those bitches are uncomfortable." Nadia laughed a little, ending her sentence with a joke. He giggled along, his eyes crinkling with the left eye closing a bit more than the other. It was such an adorable sight to see.
"I appericiate the honesty, Nads. It's something that's been on my mind for quite some time and to hear you voice it out lifts some weight off my shoulders." Lewis chuckled, the sight of her smile was one he wanted to keep in his mind forever.
"Glad I could help, pookie bear. Tell me, do your friends like cookies? I made a bunch yesterday because I was stress baking." She asked, standing up and walking towards the kitchen. The nickname clearly sticking to him but he didn't mind, it was special.
"It would be weird if they did not like cookies. They smell good too." He complimented, unconsciously jingling the car keys in his hands. "Thank you, also made them vegan friendly." Nadia smiled, picking up the plastic tub and headed for the front door. Lewis couldn't control his eyes as they fell to her retreating figure, little peaks of more tattoos showed under the hems of her shorts. Taking a breath in, he walked towards her as she fiddled with her keys with the front door open.
-
"Oh my god, Tia sent a list of people she picked out for my team." Nadia gasped, tugging on the red seatbelt of the Range Rover a bit while going through her texts with Tia to see random faces with all their details laid on text.
"Really? That was fast." He said, one hand on the steering wheel with the other resting on his leg. He turned into an avenue, the car's engine roaring through the quiet street as they passed by homes that were hidden behind large gates and trees.
The pair spent the whole 35 minute journey just jamming out to their scarily similar music taste and getting a few snacks for the game night that'll be held, Nadia not realising that she's actually becoming famous because multiple people recognised her and asked for pictures. Once she got back into the SUV, she laughed about the situation until tears came out.
"They all look around my age or a bit younger, oh this is some scary shit." She joked as she looked through everyone's photos, to which Tia then said that Nadia will meet everyone in Miami before Lewis' media duties.
"And when are you meeting them?" Lewis asked, slowing the car down and turning into a driveway before stopping in front of the large gate. "Miami" She muttered. Pressing a button somewhere, the gates opened to quite the driveway with the motor court right in front of the large modern home. The beat of the song completely changed as the house came into view, Nadia taken aback at the visuals in front of her and she completely understood why the trees were hiding such a masterpiece behind them.
In the motor court, there stood a black Mercedes Benz amg gle coupe and an arctic grey Porsche 992 Turbo S outside of the garage looking fresh out the dealership. "My God..." Nadia muttered as she covered her mouth at everything she was seeing. Lewis definitely loved seeing Nadia astonished and excited at everything he's shown her so far.
Parking the Range Rover next to the Porsche, the two got out of the car and grabbed their belongings along with the snacks they bought earlier. "Is anyone else here yet?" She asked, only carrying her tub of cookies whilst Lewis carried everything else.
"Nope, just us. Was thinking of showing you around the house, just to get used to it." He smiled and slightly giggled at the side eye she gave him. "Now now, pookie bear. I still have to decide. But let's put the stuff inside." She smiled at him and watched as he opened the door with his fingerprint.
The moment she entered the massive house, her breath was taken away by the beauty of the foyer alone.
"So which floor do you wanna start with?" He asked, leading her into the living area, the kitchen space looking like it came out straight from the magazine. Looking to her left, she looked at the abnormally large garden with so many chill spots and what looked to be a tennis court.
"And this is all yours?" Nadia was stunned to say the least. The amount of luxury surrounding her was staggering and she wanted to hide within herself, scared to even comment until Lewis answered her question.
"Well, it's ours now that we signed on the dotted line."
And it's safe to say that the cookies surprisingly weren't dropped onto the floor.
-
Walking outside the home to marvel at the creation before her, Lewis followed right behind and watched her take it all in. "Are you able to take one more surprise? I think the closet did it for you." He grinned. His hands were behind his back as always and she looked back at him with a smile.
"You've done so much for me already, Lew. What could possibly top the Harrods trip." She asked, hands on hips while slightly joking. His smile grew even more as the butterflies in his stomach reacted to the nickname.
"How about a car? Would that be better than Harrods?" He asked, mischievously putting his finger on his chin as if he's thinking. Nadia's eyes widened for the upteenth time, her hands flying to cover her mouth.
"Are you fucking with me right now? Lewis, I swear if you're joking, I'm going to kick you in the ass." She exclaimed as the man held out different keys in his hand, the smile never leaving his face.
"Lewis whatever your middle name is Hamilton, are you serious? I'm going to fucking cry, oh my god." Nadia's voice was already quivering but she refused for her tears to fall.
"Wait no don't, you said that they would ruin your lashes." Lewis genuinely wanted to laugh at her reaction but he felt so happy that he could do this for her and hopefully get her used to it.
"First it was the Raye tickets then the croissants then an entire car? Not to mention the new shit I got. Oh this is gonna be so fun." Finally uncovering her mouth, they both smiled at each other then laughed. "Let's go look at it, Nads, before everyone gets here." He suggested and like lightning, the girl was already standing next to the car and was eagerly waiting for it to open.
-
"My God, Lewis! You didn't tell me she was so beautiful. Like crazy beautiful." Currently, Nadia was being cradled in the arms of one of Lewis' closest friends, Amara.
Standing in the entryway of the house, everyone exchanged greetings and hugs as the friend group hadn't seen each other in a long time. Moments before, the pair watched as cars rolled in the motor way as each of his friends climbed out of their cars hyped as ever, carrying different things in their hands.
" 'Mara, if i could kindly have Nads back, I can finally introduce you guys." Lewis jokingly rolled his eyes at his friend who didn't want to let go but eventually did.
"Guys, this is Nadia. Nads, this is my crew. We've got Miles," He pointed at the tall man with the brightest smile she's ever seen. "Amara, who's cradled you just now," The woman waved to Nads who definitely returned the energy.
"Charlotte, who threatened to sue if she didn't meet you," Lewis then pointed to the woman standing next to Amara, she was as stunning as ever. "Daniel or 'Spinz' if you will." Another man smiled at her, tilting his cap like a cowboy. "Andrew, and right next to him is Natalia." He ended off by pointing at the two right next to Daniel.
"Nice to meet you all, I'm Nadia as you know." She shyly greeted back, never the one to introduce herself as much. Everyone spoke at the time, patching the words together to say that they're delighted to meet her.
"Uh, we've got snacks in the kitchen and the games are set up in the living room already." Nadia suggested as she pointed behind her, not even realising that Lewis' arm was around her shoulders the whole time.
"Oh please lead the way." Natalia piped up as walked over to hold Nadia's hand and walk to the kitchen, the rest of the woman following suit and immediately started complimenting the woman.
Deciding that they would tell their friend groups the truth about their marriage, Nadia and Lewis happily agreed to their plan and it most definitely seemed to work.
"God damn, your parents chose good, man. The Barcelona jersey and she's just a teacher? Can your parents hook me up because damn." Daniel spoke up, shocked at Nadia's appearance knowing that his friend barely explained how she looks.
"And don't even get me started on the tattoos, Spinz. I'll call my dad for you though!" Lewis laughed as he walked away, the rest of his mates laughing, walking towards the living area.
An hour into the game night, Nadia and Lewis had won both boards games, celebrating as if their favourite team won the league. The atmosphere was light, conversations flowing as music played in the background, well that was until 'Love Is Wicked' by Brick and Lace started playing and that's when the nostalgia hit.
It was as if everyone lost their minds, immediately clearing the space to dance. Somehow, Lewis and Nadia found sunglasses and started dancing together. Amara being the friend who films everything, filmed the two having the time of their lives. Lewis trying to copy her dance moves whilst they both sung incoherent lyrics to the song, laughter spreading while the songs played out loud.
The song switched to 'Work' by Rihanna and the girls went crazy. Moving the party to the outside porch for fresh air and more space, the well light outside lights lit quite well. The girls were moving the hips to the beat, shaking ass nah chance they get. Nadia being the dancer here, just wowed the girls even more, hyping her up so much that the boys included themselves in the dance and they eventually created an unforgettable night hanging out and laughing until the moon rose.
"So, how was it?" Lewis asked, laying next to Nadia on a blanket on the grass. The rest of the crew were laying on the other blankets across the large backyard, resting after an intense game of hide n seek. "I haven't had this much fun in quite a while. It felt nice to feel like kids, just having a good time. Once again, thank you. For this, the Porsche that i still can't believe is mine, even the ring that I stare at all day." Nadia expressed, lifting her hand to look at the ring once more.
"If you need or want anything, don't hesitate to let me know and I'm very serious, Nadia." Lewis said, turning his head to see her staring up at the night sky.
"You're bluffing." She scoffed until she turned to see his face, a raised eyebrow as he stared at her. "Anything?" She asked.
"Anything." He scrunched his nose a little, the diamond studs glistening under the moonlight.
"New wig? With a new bracelet?" She turned her entire body to face him, leaning her head in her hand.
"Done." He smiled. "Although that was severely underwhelming, bruv." He said, turning on his back once.
The two shared a loud laugh afterwards, their laughs travelling to the moon that watch over them.

Spoil | Jackson Wang (m)
PAIRING: JacksonxF!Reader
SUMMARY: Porn with little plot that's indulgent lowkey lol;
Your arrangement was simple. Two busy people who didn't have much free time, made time for eachother when they could.

Jackson was relieved when he finally got out of the airport. The flight wasn't bad by any means, and he had gotten plenty of work done on his trip. But now, he could finally relax. Unwind. So, he texted you as soon as he got into the car. He would've called, but he didn't want to spook you. When you gave the okay to call, he wasted no time dialing your number. It was a short and sweet phone call, with a surface level greetings and subtle eagerness. He didn't hesitate to invite you for a visit. You accepted of course, packing your bag.
Yourr arrangement was simple. Two busy people who didn't have much free time, made time for eachother when they could.
He picked you up, like he always did, and drove you to his place. Sure, it had been some time since you last saw eachother, but you weren't unfamilar with how this work. How the two of you worked. He practically broke any ice between you with an invitation to the shower.
The water poured out of the shower head softly, mimicking the sound of rain. The glass of Jackson's walk-in shower fogged up completely from the steam of the hot water. You both preferred hot showers. Jackson could feel his body relax as the water hit his back. He reached for the body wash on a nearby shelf, purposely ignoring the loofah next to it. He squeezed plenty of the soap into his palms. Your back was toward him. He wrapped himself around you, and expertly ran his lathered hands along your body, making sure no spot went untouched. You sigh into his touch as you feel him massage your chest.
"...missed touching you..." he whispered.
You place your hands on top of his, interlacing them.
"I missed your touch..."
You both drop your hands, allowing you to face him again. You look up at him as the water continued to run. Jackson peered down at you, bringing his hands to the sides of your face. He leaned down and pecked your lips. And again. And again, until you were properly kissing. You wrap your hands around his hips, pulling him closer. He pulled away with a sigh, keeping his lips close to yours. Unceremoniously, you turned your head to side, spitting out some some water that got into your mouth. Jackson laughed. You two could've stayed in the shower all night, but that would be a waste of a perfect bed. Jackson finished his shower and stepped out, allowing his house guest some alone time in the shower. You followed close behind, shutting off the water. There was a comfortable silence between you and him for a bit, allowing you to properly get ready for bed.
You woke up first, and hungry. Remembering that you only wore a pair of panties to bed, you reached blindly into you oversized travel bag and pulled out a crop top. You make a pitstop to bathroom before making your way to the kitchen. You roll your eyes at the sight of little to no food in the pantry. Who the fuck has a luxury fridge and no milk in it? Regardless, you prep a light breakfast with what was available.
He slept in. He woke up, reaching next to him and found nothing. He huffed and got up. He stretched out as he yawned. He decided to stay in his briefs, and slipped on his house slippers as he walked to the bathroom. After brushing his teeth, he heard his phone ring. As he answered the phone, Jackson walked to the kitchen; following the sounds of activity.
Buisness calls were important. The upcoming launches for the company were important, and demanded attention. He knew that. On the other hand, so did you. Especially when you was practically naked in his kitchen. He sat and watched as you finished up prepping the table, still on the phone.
You placed the last plate of food in front of him, meeting his grin with one of your own. He patted his lap. You gently took your seat and he let out a deep breathe as you shifted to get comfortable.
"What? No I'm good. Yeah. Yeah." he mindlessly replied.
You held out the piece of toast towards his lips. He bit a corner off as he continued his conversation on the phone.
"Ok. 5 o'clock. Sounds good." He hung up.
"Good morning."
"Good morning. Sleep well?" he inquired.
You nodded. "I'm amazed that I got up at all. I don't know how you can leave the bed when your sheets are that comfortable."
"I would have a harder time if you were in them every day" He teased as he adjusted his hold on you a bit.
You scoffed as she chewed on a strawberry. He kissed the side of your face. He moved his lips lower, peppering small kisses on your jaw. He rested both hands around your waist. It was distracting to say the least.
"Jackson, I'm hungry."
"Believe me, I am too." He spoke into your neck.
"I want to eat breakfast."
"I'm right here." His hand rubbed the small of your back.
"I mean the one I made."
"What - the bread and fruit?" he remarked.
"Well I would've cooked a proper breakfast if you bought groceries." you playfully countered.
"Baby I don't cook." he said as he looked up at you. You drape your arm around his neck, while the other hand picked at the fruit in front of you.
"Yeah, but I do."
"You want to cook for me?"
"I want to eat more than bread and fruit" You successfully found another piece of strawberry, happily popping it into your mouth.
"Let's order in" You nodded in agreement as you chewed. You turn to face him after wiping your hands with a napkin.
"The usual?"
You smiled, running a hand through his bedhead. "Sounds perfect." He smiled back. He loosened his hold to grab a cube of cantaloupe.
You both relayed what you had been up to since you had seen each other last. Luckily, you were both doing well. A knock at the door stopped your conversation, signalling that you both could finally eat. You ate breakfast, enjoying some waffles and eachother's company.
"We should go shopping." He was just about done with wiping down the table.
"Money burning a hole in your pocket again?" you joked.
"Always. You down?"
"Hm, maybe I'll find something." you shrugged, knowing damn well that you always did.
You lightly smacked Jackson's hand away from her neckline. He had been playing with your chain (or rather his chain that he insisted you wear it) since their drive to the mall.
"I love when you wear my jewelry."
"I know you do."
"I should get you new jewelry soon."
"Maybe."
"Maybe you can pose in it for me..." he suggested flirtily.
"If you're a good boy, maybe I will..." you quipped.
You had been at the mall for a bit, going to your usual stops. Jackson had already made his trip to his favorite stores. You weren't at all surprised when he bought nearly all of the newest collection from each of them. Unlike Jackson, so far, you had seen anything worth buying. Running out of suggestions, Jackson led the way to the last stop.
The boutique was breathtaking. Decorated in soft coral and creme color decor. Elegant light fixtures hung from the ceiling, making the room very bright but not blinding. The smell of fresh floral bouquets hit her nose as they entered. The clothes they sold looked so delicate on the velvet mannequins placed in various parts of the store. Much of merchandise was intricately detailed slips, sets, and other forms of lingerie. They were greeted in by the warm smile of an older woman fixing a display.
"Hello, can I help you?"
"Hi I called earlier. Jackson Wang."
"Of course Mr. Wang. Right this way." The older woman turned and led them toward the dressing rooms. They followed.
You had to admit, you were a little surprised. "When did you call?"
"While you were getting ready." he said, mildly proud of himself.
"So you had a plan, huh?"
"Still do."
You had gone shopping together before. Hell, you had been to a lingerie boutique together more than once. And yet, this was the prettiest one that he had taken you to.
The dressing room area was gorgeous as the rest of the store. The worker instructed them to wait on the plush sectional, and assured them that she would be back in a second. So you sat there, taking in the room. Your eyes wandered to a highcut teddy hanging on the wall, made of a see through material.
Jackson's eyes wander to where you're staring. "You should try that on."
You turned to him, seeing a mischievous glint in his eyes. He opened and took a sip from a complimentary water bottle on the table.
"I don't have the right panties on for that."
"Well, I'll buy you the right kind then. I'm sure they have it." he said with a twinge of eagerness.
"We'll see." You take the bottle, taking a quick sip.
The worker comes back shortly after, still as nice as she was when you walked. "Sorry for the wait."
You both reassure her that it was no problem as two more employees stepped into the space. They each held a stack of sleek black boxes. The woman grabbed one of the boxes, and lifted the cover. You stand up from your seat on the sectional to get a closer look. You almost gasped. It was the prettiest baby doll you had ever seen. From the floral lace that was stitched to be the bra of the garment, to the sheer fabric that made up the rest of the piece. You were hesitant to touch it, in fear that you would ruin it.
"Wow."
"Would you like to try it on?" the older woman politely asked.
"What? Oh no that's okay." you blushed. You can feel your face warming at the suggestion. There was no way you were going to be practically naked in public, no matter how welcoming the workers were.
The worker nodded in understanding. "If you would like, we could show you other pieces from the new collection. Ones that are less revealing..."
You almost let out a sigh of relief. "Yes please."
The next box that was opened put you at ease, but not by much. Your eyes widened at the beauty of the robe in the box. This was definitely more your speed.
"This is beautiful."
The worker hummed in agreement. "This is my personal favorite of the new pieces. It comes in three different colors, including this one." She motioned for the other employees to find the other two colorways. They were all so pretty, how were you going to choose?
Jackson stood up and slipped a hand to the small of your back. He leaned in, close to your ear. "Which one do you want baby?"
You thought about it for a second. "Hmm...I like that one."
He nodded and averted his gaze to the polite worker. "Can I get this bagged up please?"
You made it back from shopping with plenty of time to kill. The rest of the afternoon was spend lounging around, and getting ready for dinner later on that night. It wasn't difficult for you and Jackson to agree on where to eat. In fact, much of why you got along well was because of your love of food. Normally, you would settle for some take out from a variety of different places. But tonight, Jackson wanted to treat you since it had been a while. He kept the location a secret, only telling you to dress nice.
"Table for two. Should be under Wang."
The hostess nodded, quickly combing over the reservation list. "Ah yes. Right this way."
You were led quickly away from the hustle and bustle of the front end of the restaurant, to a more secluded section. Jackson made sure to pull your chair out so you sat down first. You both took your time studying the menu.
"Wow this is nice...you take all your dates here?" you teased.
"I've actually never been here. I've been meaning to go at the perfect moment...or maybe with the perfect person."
You looked up from your menu, seeing him staring you. He was smiling softly.
"What?" you blushed.
"You look gorgeous" he said sincerely.
"Thank you. You do too"
Just then, the waiter appeared. "Good evening folks. Are we ready to order?"
You ordered crab cakes and a pineapple margarita. Jackson ordered steak with roasted vegetables to go with his red wine.
"So...what's the plan after this?" You were sipping the last of your drink.
"After?" he quirked an eyebrow.
"Yeah I mean...a good dinner calls for good dessert, right?"
"It definitely does..." he grabbed the dessert menu, flicking his gaze between her and the options.
The waiter appeared just in time. "Did you folks enjoy your meal?"
"Yes we did." He answered, closing the menu.
You nodded in agreement.
"Are we ordering anything else?"
Jackson replied for the both of you. "Could we get two orders of the chocolate lava cake to-go, and the bill please?" The waiter left without another word.
"To-go huh?" you teased.
"What can I say? I want to enjoy my dessert at home." He teased back.
You made it back to his place in a flash. You were sure his driver knew to make it a quick trip from the restaurant. Especially with the way Jackson quickly dismissed him for the night before you even closed the car door. You pulled away from him, only to be tugged back.
"Where are you going? Stay here." He captured your lips again, making your head spin. You almost forgot why you pulled away in the first place.
"I'll only be a second." You remarked as you made your way to the bedroom. He scoffed, only pretending to be annoyed. He took a seat at the dining table, reaching into the to-go bag for one of the desserts.
You softly closed the bedroom door. You took off your heels, ready to be rid of them. You let out a breath and reached for the closet door. You grabbed the two hangers that you had aside earlier. You pulled out the robe you picked out first. You took note of how soft the material was under your fingertips. The vibrant color of the robe and how the material shined even in minimal lighting. You threw the piece of clothing on the bed behind you and reached for the second hanger. Jackson had said on several occasions that he loved buying lingerie for you. That he would buy you anything and everything, if it meant that he got to see you in it. If he got to rip it off you. He was so eager about this set earlier. And you could see why. It stood out from the rest, even when you took it out of the bag earlier. It was beautiful. You quickly changed out of your dinner outfit and into the sexier outfit of choice.
You looked yourself over in the bedroom mirror one last time, deciding between closing the robe or keeping it open. You tied the robe into a simple knot. He should work for it a little bit. You fixed your hair, and opened the door.
The lights were dimly lit. Music played lowly on the stereo. He sat there, zeroing in on you. You sauntered over to him, shivering slightly from how cold the floor was.
"Well don't you look pretty" his fingers graze the skin of your exposed thigh.
"Thank you. You like it?"
He nodded and took another spoonful of the cake. He brought the spoon to your lips.
"Open."
You obliged and took the bite. You moaned at how sweet the cake is.
"Damn that's good." you both laugh at your sudden bluntness. He then drops the fork on the table as your giggles die down. You smile at him, noticing the remnents of whip cream on his face.
"You've got some cream on your face."
"Get it for me." He quickly challenged.
You gently placed your hands on the sides of his face. You leaned in, licking the whipped cream off the corner of his mouth.
You kiss the same area, making your way to his lips. He tasted sweet and addicting. He continued to kiss you as he stood up. She pouted as he pulled away. He smiled as he heard you yelp when he suddenly lifted you up. You wrapped yourself around his waist clumsily.
"Warn me next time." You muttered.
He laughed as he pecked your lips. He walked you back into the bedroom. He placed you gently at the foot of the bed. His hands landed on your covered waist.
"Like a present..." he muttered. He undid the simple knot on the robe. He motioned wordlessly for you to shrug off the material, and you did so. His eyes narrowed in on how the outfit fit on you. He knew his hunch was correct. He knew you would look amazing in it. The way the color complimented your skin. The way that it left nothing to the imagination and then simultaneously made him more curious. Especially the underwear that the set came with. He licked his bottom lip and started to undo his pants. You helped him out of his clothes. He stood there, naked from the waist down. He was sure he looked ridiculous. But he didn't care. Not when you were waiting.
"Stick your tongue out." He ordered sternly. You looked up at him and did what you were told. He took hold of his hardened dick, lightly smacked the tip of it on the surface of your tongue. You took control, gently wrapping your lips around it. He muttered to himself about how eager you were. The light suction you started was too much of a tease for him.
"Can I fuck your mouth pretty girl?"
You hummed in response. To reassure him that it was okay you took more into your mouth. He groaned and began to rock his hips. Neither of you had any objections with starting at a slow, unbearable pace. After all, you were staying for the weekend; you had plenty of time for moments like this.
Between the way you hallowed her cheeks, and the noises that were bouncing off the walls, he had to shut his eyes and enjoy the moment. He didn't want you to stop. If anything, he wanted to cum on your pretty face. And down your throat. Maybe all over you if you'd let him. His mind flashed to one night you had spent together in a similar situation. Your eyes glassy. Your lips bright red and puffy. Hair wet and crumbled under his grip. And your mouth wide open, ready for him. Fuck sometimes it was like you weren't real. His own personal star. He was brought back to reality when he heard you gag. He opened his eyes suddenly and looked down at you again. Your eye makeup slightly smearing, the shine from your lip gloss faint.
"Wait..." he gasped. She halted her movement. He reluctantantly pulled out, sighing as he felt the light touch of her teeth. He held his erection in his hands and began to rub himself. He wasn't ready to cum by any means, but he loved the stimulation.
His voice was noteiceably more raspy as he ordered you to lay down on the bed. You quickly laid down on the luxurious comforter and crossed your legs. He pulled his sweater over his head and tossing it behind him. He followed close behind, finding a comfortable spot infront of your manicured toes. You sat up on your elbows, smiling mischievously at him. He smiled back at you, knowingly. You knew what he wanted. You had a little peek at it earlier. You teasingly uncrossed your legs and bent your knees upward. You almost wanted to laugh at the expression on his face. The pure shock. He was scolding himself. Why didn't he buy you crotchless panties before? He inched in closer, bringing one of his hands to the sight in front of him.
"So wet from just sucking me off." He teased the entrance, lubing up his fingers with your arousal. He switched between rubbing your clit and plunging his fingers into you. This went on until he was using both hands. Until he had you squirming under his touch. You closed your eyes, worried that if you kept your gaze on him that she would fall apart. Everything felt so good. Too good. You were whining softly, your stomach was starting to contract.
"Jackson...jackso-"
"Don't worry beautiful, I remember." His hands retreated from your pussy to rest on your inner thighs. You let out a deep breath. You couldn't see it, but he watched as you inhaled and exhaled. The ache in your center was taunting. Reminding that your best orgasms came from when you edged, and that it was better for you to wait. He came back up to kiss you sloppily. As if from muscle memory you found his hair to anchor you. He moaned at how tight you held onto him. He nipped at your bottom lip, licking over the area. He firmly held the sides of your thighs.
"You're so sexy," he said in a low tone. He kissed his way down youru body in certain areas. Your neck. Your sternum. Your hips. Until he was finally facing your pussy. He wasted no time as he inserted his tongue into it. You gasped as you felt him work his way in and out of you hole to your clit. You began to feel yourself grow weak as he solely focused on your most sensitive spot. He continued his actions until you were practically lifting yourself off the bed as you came. Sighs and broken calls of his name leave you as you let go. Your actions only encourage Jackson, taking it upon himself to continue his actions. He laughs lightly as you pushed his face away, having grown too sensitive from the stimulation.
He kissed the sides of your hips, finally giving you some space. He bends over to the night stand behind you, opening the drawer and finding his stash of condoms. He closed the drawer gently. As he ripped the condom wrapper open with his teeth, he found you looking up at him, tossing aside the now ruined lingerie.
"Let me know when you're ready okay?" He threw the condom wrapper on the nightstand. Reluctantly, he looks away from to focus on the task at hand. He hissed as he rolled the condom onto his erection, pinching the top and stretching it out a bit.
You alert that you are as you move up the bed to sit up against the headboard.
"You might have to take over and do all the work though. I think you made me cum too hard."
"Don't give up on me now. I'm not done fucking you yet." he grinned as he sat down in front of you.
"I'm not done fucking you yet." she grinned back. He ran a few fingers on the side of your thigh, liking the goosebumps that formed under his touch.
"Switch seats with me."
You nodded and slowly moved away from the spot. Once Jackson got settled, he motioned for you to sit on his lap. You settled on his lap, making it so that your knees rested on the mattress. He pushed his knees slightly upward and held up himself, guiding his cock perfectly under you. You wrapped your hands around his neck and faced him. You looked at eachother with eagerness and lust. No longer wanting to waste time you sank down, still keeping eye contact with him. You whined as his tip barely entered you, almost losing your balance.
"You okay?" he asked concerned. You shook head.
"Can't think straight. Take over baby."
He nodded, grabbing your hip with his free hand. You closed your eyes again, gasping at the stretch you were feeling. He was always so big every time he fucked you. You panted as he took over.
"I just need alittle bit..."
You found yourself whining more as he continued to slowly enter you.
"...little bit more beautiful..." he gave you a few encouraging kisses on your chest.
You whispered ok more to yourself than him, attempting to encourage yourself to be patient. You cursed when you finally felt his thighs under you.
"There..." he bit his lip and began to rock into her. Your little whines brought his attention back to your face. Eyes shut and chest heaving. Your body shiny from sweat. You were a goddess. He lovingly brought his hands to rest on your ass. He kept his hands there, encouraging you to move faster.
"I'm gonna...fuck I'm gonna cum..." you mindlessly admitted.
"Get after it then." he started thrusting faster into her, causing to her gasp.
He placed his hand on the back of your neck. He latched his mouth onto your nipple. You moaned at his actions. It was unbearable now. You had to cum. You removed a hand from his neck and snaked it down to where your bodies met. You immediately found your aching clit and rubbed haphazardly. You became breathless, gasping as she finally let go. He detached his mouth and gasped at how hard you clung onto his dick. He wasn't far behind, choosing to thrust into you sloppily until he finally felt it. He groaned as he came, shutting his eyes in pleasure.
"So good for me...so good..." he muttered into her shoulder.
You sat there for a while, practically glued together by sweat. You both were attempting to regulate your breath as Jackson stayed inside of you.
"Fuck."
You sighed. "I know. Dibs on the last lava cake."
"Go ahead baby. I'm tired." he sighed, leaning back into the headboard.
"Awe." you pushed back some of the hair off his forehead and kissed the area. On one hand, you wanted that cake. But you were also exhausted like he was. You climbed off of him and settled into the sheets, needing a moment.

(They Long To Be) Close To You {1}
Harry Styles x fem!reader
Part 1- Sunflower Vol. 6
(No mention of pandemic. This starts as Harry writes Harry's house)Y/N lived a simple life. She worked and she loved what she did. She loved her family and she was happy. She didn't think she needed anything else. But one day, on a flight to a new adventure, she meets the one person she never expected to meet.
Fic warnings: mentions of past trauma, smut later, age gap (8 years), will leave warnings every chapter.
June 2020
It started in the early morning. 6:45 am to be precise. It was a chilly Gallup morning, and the balloons were going up, as they always did that early.
Leaving the house as soon as she could, starting the 20 minute drive to work like she did every day. Arriving at work with no problem, she was immediately called into her boss, Sofia's office.
"Y/N/N, could you come in here for a sec? And close the door?"
Y/N's pov
I slowly walked into Sofia's office, closing the door behind me and sitting down.
"Did I do something again?"
The older woman chuckles and shakes her head.
"No. But I wanted to talk to you. Do you remember when Alexander said we were expanding into Europe?"
I nod my head, briefly remembering the conversation.
"Well, they want you to go with a few drivers and go to London for a couple months to start up the first branch.Your position would be my current one. The company is paying for your living space and travel, you are responsible for anything else. Interested?"
Wow. That's... not what I thought she was gonna talk to me about.
"U-um yeah I'd love to! When do I leave?"
She smiles.
"At the end of the month. You'll be in charge of everything and everyone there. I know you'll do great."
I smile and thank her.
After that, the month flies fast. I pack what I need and it's shipped to my new flat and anything else goes into my mom's garage. On the day I leave, I meet the 2 drivers coming with me, Jackson and Adam, at the airport. At 4:30am.
It's already too early and I need coffee.
"You guys ready for this?"
The two men tiredly nod and we trek to our gate after checking our bags. After about 30 minutes we begin boarding our flight. The attendant scans my boarding pass and gives me a bright smile, definitely too bright for how early it is.m
"Miss, it seems you've been upgraded to first class due to availability. Enjoy your flight!"
Adam, Jackson and myself just share a look and proceed ahead. I find my seat and holy crap it's nice. They find theirs in economy and we part ways. I take my seat and pull out my iPad, briefly starting to get some work done. The plane takes off and soon we land in LAX.
The flight is a straight trip but I guess they had to pick up more people. I decide to put my work away and watch Demon Slayer instead. I pay no mind when I see from the corner of my eye, someone take the seat next to me. Jackson comes over to me to chat for a minute at that moment as well.
"Hey Y/N/N, do you have all the addresses for where we are staying? Ryan forgot to send it to us."
"Yeah. We're all in the same place, just separate units. We'll be fine."
He nods and then briefly looks at my screen.
"Really? Demon Slayer again?"
I flip him off and he laughs before he returns to his seat. After a couple minutes, the person next to me finally speaks up.
"Is it good? What you're watching?"
I take out my headphones and turn to the stranger, about to reply, when I see his face and my mouth drops.
"I-I um yeah, it is. I like it."
He smiles and holds out his hand to me.
" I'm Harry."
I smile and shake his hand.
I'm pretty sure he could tell I was shaking.
"I-I'm Y/N. I-It's nice to meet you!"
He laughs and I swear I could just die after hearing that sound.
"Y' must know who I am."
I nod and blush.
"I love your music. Always makes me feel better and brings a smile to my face."
He smiles.
" 'M glad to hear that. I love makin' music and gettin to share it. 'T means a lot t' me that it helps so many."
I nod and we talk for a bit.
I don't think I've ever actually had this meaningful of a conversation with anyone before.
"S'what are you watchin? Looks interesting."
"Oh, that? Oh it's just an anime that I like. I've seen it multiple times. I guess I just like watching it."
I giggle and he smiles, filling my stomach with butterflies.
"Would y'mind if I watched with you?"
I nod my head and hand off an AirPod to him, moving my iPad in the middle so we could both see and I hit play.
Somehow, through the flight, we finished season one and part of Mugen Train before we finally land. And I don't think I have ever been more disappointed. We both got up but before he walked away, Harry turned to me.
"I don't usually do this, but I want to see you again. Would y'want to maybe... exchange numbers? J-just as long as you promise not t'give it out...?"
Holy shit holy shit ho-ly shit.
"Y-yeah I'd love to! And I'd never do that! That's a betray of trust and that's one thing I refuse to do to anyone!"
He smiles and takes my phone, putting his number in it.
"Text me love. I would love t' get coffee with you sometime."
I smile and nod, waving him goodbye as I wait for Jackson and Adam to meet me up front. I see them come up and Jackson is grinning and wiggling his eyebrows at me.
"Shut it Miles. I don't want to hear it."
The two men laugh as we make our way out of the plane to baggage claim. I look around briefly for Harry and obviously I don't see him, causing disappointment to show on my face. I decide to pull out my phone and text him.
Y/N- Hi Harry! It's Y/N!😊
H-Couldn't wait, could you love?
Y/N-I could've! I'm just waiting at baggage claim and the two idiots I'm traveling with are teasing me!😒
H-Yeah? That's not nice. Should I come steal you away?
Y/N-Ha! As much as I would love that, I have to get the three of us settled in and dispatch them. Maybe coffee tomorrow?
H-Sounds great! I know a great place! I'll text you the address! See you tomorrow, love!
Y/N-See you tomorrow❤️

Waking up early the next morning sucked.
My alarm wakes me up at 6:30 as-per usual, but my jet lagged body did not agree with the new time zone. I had worked late, only getting to bed at about 2am, which would've been 9am my time.
I get up and take a shower, the hot water only soothing my aching bones for a short time. I dry myself off and make my way into the bedroom where my unpacked suitcases remain. I start to open them, only grabbing what I need.
I pull out a bright floral sundress, a pair of strapped sandals and the only other purse I packed.
Tumblr media
I quickly get dressed before doing my hair and putting on just a little bit of makeup when I hear my phone ping. I look down at it to see a text from Harry and I smile.
H- Good morning, Y/N! I can't wait to see you!Meet me at the Abbey Road Cafe. I'll be there waiting! x
I blush and finish up before grabbing my bag and leaving. It's only about a 10 minute walk to the cafe and I manage to get there without getting lost. I head inside and find Harry in the back at a table. He smiles at me and stands up and he gives me a hug.
Tumblr media
"You look beautiful! I'm feelin' a bit underdressed!"
Panic flashes in my eyes and he shakes his head with a small laugh.
"I'm only teasing! Really, you look amazing. Shall we get some coffee? Thought we might get some brekkie too before heading off."
I smile and follow him to the register.
"Order what you'd like. My treat!"
I frown and start to argue.
"Oh Harry, I couldn't ask you-."
He laughs and shakes his head once more.
"You didn't ask, I offered. Please?"
I sigh and nod and turn to the barista.
"May I please get a hazelnut espresso with oat milk? And.. a breakfast croissant?"
She nods and typed it in to her POS before turning to Harry, who smiles.
"A black coffee please. And a breakfast croissant as well."
She nods and he quickly pays and we stand off to the side to wait for our order.
"So, how was your first day in your office yesterday? Get settled in already?"
I sigh and only shrug.
"I suppose so. It's so nerve wracking. I was kind of thrown into this and while I'm grateful for the opportunity, it's a lot more responsibility than I had before."
He nods and gives me a small pat on the back.
"I'm sure you'll get the hang of it quick, yeah? Y' seem pretty resourceful, like you catch on quick."
I plush and grip my bag in embarrassment. We get our order and sit down at the back table, talking as we eat. We finish quickly and dispose of our trash before heading out.
"So you haven't gotten a chance to see any of the sights yet, right?"
I shake my head with a frown.
"I'll be here for a couple months so I'll have time but I would definitely like to see them."
He smiles and nods.
"I had a thought- I know the big sites and exciting.. But would you like to see some of the hidden gems of London?"
My face lights up and I nod enthusiastically.
"Please! I'd love to!"
He smiles and holds a hand out to me. I blush and hesitantly take it, butterflies filling my stomach as he laces out fingers together. We take the tube down to Little Venice and my mouth drops at the view.
"I-I've never seen anything so beautiful before..."
Harry smiles and leads me down a pathway.
"I thought we could take a kayak ride. Is that something you'd want to do?"
I nod and smile. We head over to the dock and board one of the kayaks, sitting close together.
He holds tight onto my hand as we travel down the river, making small talk.

The next time I'm able to see Harry in person, he's walking through the doors of my office building with a plastic bag in hand and a smile on his face. My eyes widen as he walks through the dark doors and into my small office, shooting up from my chair in surprise.
"Harry! What are you doing here? Did you not see my text about lunch?"
He smiles and nods as he sits down in the chair in front of my desk, dropping my bag on the mahogany surface.
"I did. You said you had too much to do. So, I brought it to you."
He opens the bag and begins to place containers on my desk before pulling out a few bottles of water, and to my surprise, a bottle of Dr. Pepper.
"Harry... Where did you go? This looks incredible!"
He laughs and shakes his head. He walks away for a moment, to the break room I imagine, before coming back with some napkins.
"I didn't actually. Went to Whole Foods and Sainsbury's and bought the ingredients. Took maybe 2 hours? Hope it tastes good, haven't made sushi in quite a while."
He hands me a pair of chopsticks and opens the containers, my mouth watering at the sight.
"California Rolls? How did you know?"
He chuckles and he takes a roll and dips it into the cup of soy sauce he brought.
"You mentioned it the other day that you were craving some. Thought I might make some. There's also some fresh fruit and veg. Some veggie pot stickers too. Oh, and how could I forget-."
He reaches into the bag and pulls out a small blue package. Oreos.
"Thought you could use these too."
He smiles and hands them to me with a smile and I blush.
"Are you a mind reader? I was just thinking last night how much I wanted some to go with my glass of milk! You are seriously amazing."
I'm not sure if I see correctly or not, but his cheeks tint as if he was blushing, and he lets out a small laugh. We continue to eat and chat until we finish. With a light kiss to my cheek, he leaves with plans to go to dinner later in the week.

"Harry, really. Where are we going? It's 11:30! It's almost midnight!"
He laughs as he pulls me along the dark streets of London until he stops in front of a building.
"What is-."
I raise an eyebrow at him and he just shakes his head before opening the door and pulling me inside. He heads down a hallway and reaches a door, pushing it open before pulling me inside.
"A studio? Why are we here?"
He pulls me over to the grand piano in the corner and sits me down on the bench, before sitting down next to me.
"I just finished a song for the new album. I haven't played it for anyone outside of the band.. I wanted to play you some of it."
He turns to look at me and tears swell in my eyes.
"Really? You want to play it for me. I'd love to hear it."
He smiles and scooches up close to me before turning back to the piano. He positions his hands and begins to softly play and sing.
Holdin' me back
Gravity's holdin' me back
I want you to hold out the palm of your hand
Why don't we leave it at that?
Nothin' to say
When everything gets in the way
Seems you cannot be replaced
And I'm the one who will stay, oh
In this world, it's just us
You know it's not the same as it was
In this world, it's just us
You know it's not the same as it was
As it was, as it was
You know it's not the same
He removes his fingers from the keyboard and turns his head back to me, only for a look of fear to appear on his face.
"Why are you crying? Are you okay? Do you-."
I sniffle and shake my head before wiping away my tears with the sleeves of my cardigan.
"I-I'm fine. That was just-. That was amazing Harry. You really are so talented. That wasn't even the whole song and you already have me pulled in. It's gonna be an amazing album. Album of the year, I bet!"
He blushes and wraps an arm around my shoulders, pulling me into his side.
"That's definitely too soon to think about. But thank you love, I appreciate you saying so. Now, how about a late night snack? Then I'll take you home?"
I giggle and nod before standing up. I hold my hand out to Harry and he takes it with a smile. We walk out of the studio hand in hand in the dead of night, only our laughs echoing the streets.

"A movie? You want to go to the cinema?"
I nod with a big smile.
"I haven't been since I left home! I thought it would be fun! Please!"
I pout and he sighs before giving me a small smile and nods. I squeal and jump into his arms, laughing as he catches me.
"What movie did you have in mind?"
I loop my arm through his as we begin to walk towards the nearest theater and I think for a minute.
"I was thinking like an action movie. Marvel if possible. Ooo! Black Widow! Black Widow is in theaters!"
Harry laughs and wraps and arm around my waist as we continue to walk.
"I guess that's the one. You really that into Marvel?"
I give him a look of shock and almost disgust.
"Sir! How many tattoos do I have?"
"16..."
"And how many of them are Marvel tattoos?"
"4..."
I give him a nod and he bursts out laughing, squeezing my waist as he pulls me along.
"You're too much Y/N M/N, you know that?"
I laugh and nod as we walk into the theater.
"Ohhh I'm so excited! I'm still sad over Natasha so if this doesn't save my fragile heart, I don't know what will."
He laughs and we walk in, taking our seats.
>>>——————————>
"Okay, I'll be honest, that was an amazing movie."
I leap in excitement, struggling to contain all my energy as Harry laughs at my child-like nature.
"Amazing?! More like the best movie of the year! Kick ass cast! Florence was 100% the comedic relief I needed! But ooo that scene at the end! She's going after Clint! That's crazy!"
He laughs and pulls me to his side as we walk through the night, laughing and enjoying our time together.
9 Months
It's been a couple months since I met Harry. And everyday with him is amazing. We both work quite a bit but still manage to see each other a couple times a week. Earlier in the week, I received a phone call from one of the corporate bosses.
I've been instructed to go home soon. With the hiring of more staff, I'm not needed and they want me back in my old position... And now I have to tell Harry.
I'm waiting for him at our usual spot and I see him come up to me. I stand up and meet him halfway, walking into his warm embrace.
"Missed you love."
"Missed you too."
He caresses my cheek and kisses my forehead. I can only force a small smile.
"You okay, love? You look a bit down."
"Y-yeah I'm fine. But we do need to talk."
He looks at me with concern as I lead him to our table to sit down.
"So you know how I've been telling you how well things have been going with setting up the new branch?"
He nods his head in acknowledgment.
"Well... it's done. There's new staffing and multiple drivers... so they want me back home."
We sit in silence for just a minute.
"When... When do you have to leave?"
"In 3 days...Look Harry... I don't want this to be the end of whatever this is between us. I like you. And these past couple months? You've made me feel so alive. I've never felt this way before...I know this sounds corny but I don't want this to be the end if you don't..."
He pauses for a minute before he bursts out laughing, leaving me in shock and confusion.
"How do you always seem to take the words out of my mouth?"
He pauses for another minute before continuing.
" Of course I still want to see you. I love spending time with you, Y/N. We'll work it out somehow."
He takes me out of my chair and hugs me tight. He pets my head and I start crying.
"Shhh. It's okay love. M'not letting you go that easily. You're stuck with me."
I begin to argue with him, tears falling down my cheeks as my vision blurs.
"But I'm gonna be in New Mexico! And you're still trying to write your album!"
He gives me a soft smile and shakes his head.
"You're forgetting about something though."
I just look at him in complete and utter confusion.
Those are the facts though... how could I be forgetting something?
"How often have you FaceTimed your mum just this week?"
"I don't know- probably like a good couple dozen- ohhhh! Duh!"
He laughs and hugs me tighter, resting his head against mine.
"I know it's not ideal, but we'll make it work. And I'll come visit you of course. Can't go long without my muse, now can I? I'll never get the album finished without you."
I blush and bury my head in his chest, causing him to chuckle.
"I'm know you would do an amazing job finishing it. You don't need me for inspiration Mr. 'I like to write songs about sex'."
He chuckles and lifts my head up, forcing me to look him in the eyes.
"Of course I do. I've written 2 songs already. Because of you. So I definitely need you. Stop thinking so little of yourself."
I nod, tearing up a little.
"Will you come see me off?"
He smiles and lifts me up.
"You really think I wouldn't? I'd never give up the chance to see you, even if it is goodbye."
He kisses my nose, making me smile.
"Let's go get you packed up, yeah?"
He grabs my bag and leaves a tip for the waiter.
"Wait, you're gonna help me pack?"
"Course I am. Gotta get my time with you while I have you. And besides, we need to finish Edens Zero, don't we?"
I chuckle and nod my head.
As excited as I am to go home to my family and my regular day to day life, I hate that I have to do it without Harry there with me. These past couple months have been amazing and he makes everything more fulfilling.
Heathrow Airport
I woke up early this morning and I'm not ready to leave. Harry came to see me off though. I take his hand and pull him off to the side.
"Something wrong love?"
I take a long deep breath.
"No... I just. I want to tell you something. I want to get it off my plate before I leave... Harry... I love you. And I know this is probably way too soon to say but- I just wanted to tell you. And I totally understand if you-."
Before I can finish, he grabs my face and kisses me. I close my eyes and focus on the feeling of his lips against mine. After a minute or so, he slowly lets go and he lets out a light chuckle.
"Sometimes... I swear... you talk so much that no one can get a word in."
I blush and bury my face in his chest until he pulls me out and places his finger under my chin, lifting my head up.
"I love you, Y/N. I mean it."
I start to tear up a little.
"What did I ever do to deserve you?"
"Dunno, because I am an angel."
He batts his eyes at me and flashes that smile that I love so much.
"Oh hush. I try to be cheesy and you decide to be cheeky."
He chuckles and hugs me, not letting don't let go until they call for boarding for my flight home. He kisses me once more and I let the tears fall down my face.
As soon as we let go, he wipes my tears with his thumb and smiles at me.
"Promise to text me when you're home?"
I nod my head and give him one last hug before I let go, letting the tears fall.
2 Weeks Later
Things have gone back to normal for the most part. I'm back to doing my old job. It hasn't been too bad. But I miss Harry like crazy. We FaceTime at least 3 times a day and talk on the phone almost every second.
He's been singing me to sleep recently and honestly I always wake up refreshed in the morning because of it.
Right now, I'm sitting at my desk, entering orders, when I see a name flash across my phone screen. I smile and answer.
Y/N- Well hello there, handsome!
H-Hi love! What are you doing later this week?
Y/N -Oh, you know, the usual. Working and going to my sisters this weekend, at least I think so. What are you up to?
H-Oh, you know, just planning a trip to go see my favorite girl this weekend.
My eyes go wide.
Y/N-REALLY?!
He laughs.
H-Really... Mum and Gemma wanna meet you. So... they were going to come with... if that's okay...
Y/N-I'd love to meet them! But isn't it too soon? I mean we haven't even made anything official...
H- That's what I said! But according to Gem, I refuse to shut up about you so they are insisting on meeting you.
I let out a little chuckle.
Y/N- I guess if I'm meeting them, you should meet my mom and my sisters..
H-We'll be in Thursday. I'm booking hotels for mum, Gem and Jeff.
Y/N-I'm sorry... are you expecting to stay with me?
H- I mean-
I let out a loud snort.
Y/N- I'm kidding. Of course you can stay with me. But it's only one bed so you can sleep with me or on the couch. I'll ask for Friday off and see if Sofia will approve it.
H-Don't worry bout that. We'll probably sleep Friday and explore later.
Y/N-Text me your flight details and I'll come get you Thursday after I get off. I can't wait to see you!
H- Me too love. I love you
Y/N-Love you too Harry.
We hang up and I get back to work, never letting the smile leave my face for the rest of the day.

gekko x reader where y’all go to a nice tropical resort!!!! would be super cute if his buddies got included too !! :D ty <3

Tumblr media
Wingman has one job today, be Gekko's wingman.
Words: 1020
If you wanted a holiday longer than a few days it wasn’t easy, even one day off wasn’t. Since the protocol was made to save the world and if you were away the problems didn’t stop. But when Brimstone approved Gekko’s and your's week-long holiday he was ecstatic.
Not saying you weren’t, it was the fact he planned this as a surprise. And when Brim heard his intentions there was no way he could say no. You and Gekko were young but strong, and the protocol could deal with you two away for a week. Plus, he wanted to see the others surprised by the news later on.
So he had to tell you eventually, that being the day before the flight left. You had returned from a mission with Skye, Jett, Neon, Astra on Pearl. In which the mission almost failed, but seeing as you’re back at base it clearly didn’t.
But you had left Sage’s office and were on your way to the kitchen, wanting a snack and something to drink before seeing Gekko and his buddies. You quickly reached the kitchen and found a bag of your favourite chips along with a bottle of water. Now you just needed to find Gekko.
Turns out it wasn’t difficult. When you reached his room all you heard was the faint background noise of some tv show or movie and things being hitting the ground. A quick knock from you silenced it, footsteps rushed over to the door.
Gekko had opened the door like was in a rush, clothes had been thrown across the room along with bags stuffed with more clothing and smaller items. It looked like he was throwing together a bag, and coincidentally the same bag he uses on all his trips.
“Hey, welcome welcome.”
He pulled you in so the door shut.
“You packed?”
“Packed, what for?”
“The trip remember… Oh…”
At this response you could only stare at him, wondering what he forgot to tell you.
“So… I planned us a trip and we leave, tomorrow.”
“Mateo, you book a trip and don’t tell until the day before?”
At this he could only nod,
“You’re lucky I love you.”
He watched as you walked out, turning towards your own room to start backing.
It seemed like the day flew, by the time you went for dinner your bags were packed. Gekko had also come by to grab them for you, taking them somewhere. But soon enough night fell and you went to sleep.
When you were woken up the base was silent, Gekko was lightly pushing you as his buddies either floated around or sat on your bed. The man himself was kneeling on the floor next to you.
The next few minutes followed in silence. Quickly being dragged around the base and to the VLT/R, apparently you two were taking it to your holiday. And Brimstone was seeing you two off, still in his own pajamas.
It became clear he was tired, shooing you both off as you appeared.
“Hurry along you two, I'll see you next week.”
And you listened, hurrying into the VLT/R just before it lifted. Waving Brim off as he walked away.
Hours passed before you landed, the sun was at its peak now. You didn’t need to put your items away since someone did that for you, leaving you both with plenty of hours for fun. Which you were dragged to quickly.
The day was almost over now. It seemed like you did every activity available while it was only 6-7 that went for around an hour or two. At this point Gekko was dragging you to one last activity, this one was at an outdoor kitchen. A simple hour of baking and decorating a cake to take back with you.
And it started well, the instructor took you through the steps to bake the cakes. Giving you a range of flavours, Gekko let you choose most things. Meaning you choose [flavour] for it, along with [flavour] icing coloured in [colour.]
As you were baking he was making a mess, he was never one to stay clean during this. Flour had managed to get into both of your hair, the icing made hand prints on your side since he grabbed you to try clean his own hands.
Even as the cake cooled he still was making a mess trying to make another colour of icing. You caught sight of the light green icing with matching blue, yellow and pink sprinkles sat off to the side.
“Hey, ey!”
Gekko had a piping bag in one hand while using his other to shove you away.
“Step outside, Guapo.”
“Okay okay, you gonna propose or something?”
You only laughed as you threw even more ingredients at your back, stepping outside onto the porch. It had the perfect view of the beach and sun setting.
Speaking of, Wingman’s footsteps sounded. You’ve known his buddies long enough to learn their habits and sounds, meaning Wingman was holding something. Unable to turn before he ran into your sight, and you were correct. He was holding a small black box above his head, pushing towards you.
So you took it and opened it. Inside sat a pair of rings. One was a gold band with a green coloured sun. The other was a [type] band with a [coloured] moon, being half so it fit with the other.
Gekko was always the cheesy type of partner.
“I take it you like them?”
Spinning around to see Gekko had stepped outside holding the cake, which was now completed. Dizzy and Thrash hung around his head while moss was content in his bag, Wingman stepped closer to your leg.
“You planned all this?”
“You’re surprised by this?”
You laughed at him before stepping closer, making sure to not ruin the cake. And leaning in for a kiss, he giggled at the start. Slowly leaning into it as well. But before his buddies cut you both off, acting like repulsed children.
“But yeah.”
“Mi Luna, love you.”
“I love you too Mateo, yes I also love you four.”

How to Fly Like a Hollywood Star - Part 2: Before the Airport and At the Airport
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
[Part 1 - Packing]
Before the Airport
🛩 If booking flight tickets online, use incognito mode. Airline websites use cookies to adjust the prices of tickets, so if you visit a website often, the price will be more expensive. Using incognito mode prevents this.
🛩 You can't book tickets through this site, but it tells you who has the cheapest fares.
🛩 Flight Connections can be your best friend when booking flights.
🛩 Be careful with low budget airlines. The tickets may be cheap, but they try and make you pay through the nose for every else, like food, checked bags, seat assignments, etc.
🛩 First flights of the day are always your best bets in terms of availability and options if you get bumped, at least on major routes. If you have two options to take a leg always plan to take the first one I.e. Ten seats on the 7am departure is far more likely than ten seats on the 9am. People oversleep, people change their flights, people get stuck in traffic, etc.
🛩 Study what type of plane you'll be on prior to booking seats. Business class will nearly always have only two seats per row, but on some big jets, economy class will have two seats towards the back of the plane. This is because the plane narrows there. This is good, because there's extra space next to you on the floor if you're in the window seat, and you won't be in the dreaded middle seat. Be aware that some planes have the latrine next to that aisle (but sometimes it's the galley, so you'll have the aroma of fresh coffee near you throughout the entire flight). You can find a map of your flight's seats here.
🛩 Get window or aisle seats if you can. Aisle seats are better if you need to pee a lot, but the downside is that you'll have to get up for other people in your row. Window seats are good for not being disturbed, but you'll have to ask people in your row to move if you need the toilet. Avoid middle seats if possible, there's no benefit to them.
🛩 Get business class tickets if you can. On some airlines they're only a little bit more expensive than economy, and the experience is so much better.
🛩 Sometimes, saying you're a doctor can get you upgraded ahead of others. So try your luck and fill out the "Title" section with "Dr" when you fly.
🛩 Bring a powerbank for your phone, just in case your phone battery dies. The flight may not have a charging outlet, and they can be difficult to find in an airport, which is a nightmare if you have your boarding pass or vaccination proof on your phone.
🛩 Take a screenshot of the airport map, your boarding pass, and vaccine cert just in case you have difficulties accessing the airport WiFi. Make a photocopy of your passport and keep it in your luggage.
🛩 Download some music ahead of your flight (this app is the best for downloading music if you're an android user), and bring something to read on board. Use Library Genesis to download any books you want to read on an electronic device offline.
🛩 Take a picture of your luggage in case it gets lost.
🛩 If your luggage gets lost, in many places airlines are obligated to pay you compensation, so don't just let it slide. Use this site to get compensation (going directly to the airline may cause them to do the runaround so you won't get anything). Keep the receipts of clothing, toiletries, etc, you bought and claim. If you're don't fly often, buy stuff with the assumption you won't get your claim. If you do fly frequently, then you can begin buying expensive items, and they don't complain.
🛩 If you're in the EU and something goes wrong with your flight, check this website to find out your rights.
🛩 Check your phone coverage abroad. Most big carriers have programs where you can pay by the day for international access (between like $2 and $10 depending on country) but international roaming fees are terrible if you forget to activate an international plan. Get a prepaid cellphone sim card if possible.
🛩 Make sure you call your bank/credit card company to authorize your cards for use abroad. Check what the international transaction fees are. Consider getting some cash in the currency of your destination before you go. Major banks will have it on hand, most others can order it for you.
At the Airport
🛩 Dress smartly, for example, a neat pair of jeans, white shirt, and well-cut blazer or cardigan. Don't dress like you're at the beach, in shorts and sandals. The air conditioning is often cranked up at airports and planes are usually cold because of the air vents, so you'll be chilly, and it's impractical if there's an emergency and you need to evacuate. Instead, wear layers. Not too many, as it's a pain taking them off when going through security, but it's good to wear a warm cardigan just in case you're freezing, which you can take off if the heating in the airport is too high (London Heathrow is always boiling hot in my experience). Avoid gym gear; it belongs in the gym (this applies to all situations, not just flying). If you're wearing sneakers, wear trim ones, not clunky running shoes. If you're lucky, dressing smartly might bump you up a class, and you'll never know when you might meet a person in a high position at the airport, or sat next to you in business class.
🛩 Go to the airport as early as you can. Sometimes, checking in very early can get you bumped up to spare seats in a higher class.
🛩 Once you go through security, you can't get out again (unless you want to go through security a second time). Don't leave the secure area (usually, if you're going in the direction of baggage claim, you're headed out).
🛩 If you get lost in the airport, don't hesitate to ask the staff for help.
🛩 If the airport is huge, you can generally use Google Maps on your phone if you don't know where to go.
🛩 Don't trust anyone who offers to carry your bags.
🛩 Be aware of your important belongings in the airport. They’re generally safe, but if your brain is in a million places at once it’s easy to misplace little impossible things (phone, wallet, passport, ticket, etc.).
🛩 When transferring flights, go to your next flight immediately. It may take you longer to get there than you expect.
🛩 If you miss your connecting flight, the airline will rebook you. There will be a line to wait in or a number to call for details if this happens.
🛩 Listen to the overhead announcements, as airlines might not always text if there's a change to your flight or a gate change.
🛩 If you have a long wait in the airport, get up and walk around every few hours. Or explore the city you're in if you feel comfortable.
🛩 Some airports have yoga rooms, art exhibits, etc. Make use of them if you have time.
🛩 Food is more expensive in airports, so if you're on a budget, try to eat before you go, or bring snacks. However, buying snacks in the airport is still less expensive than on the plane. On many airlines, if you fly business class, snacks and drinks are complimentary, so check ahead of time on the airline's meal policy.
🛩 If you have access to the lounge, you'll be able to shower, which can be very refreshing during a long day of running around.

Back to The Bubble

(Dieter x horror loving female)
Words: 3, 077
Summary: you and Dieter go to England for the filming of his latest project, but he must face an old fear
Warnings: oh boy, do I put Dieter through the wringer!
Check out masterlist here
You looked at you list again; you were sure you had packed everything but felt safe checking one more time. You and Dieter were going to England for a two month shoot on a short film.
FOUR was being directed by notorious auteur director Ryan; pronounced rhee ahn, and anyone who pronounced it wrong would be fired immediately. This was the second in his trilogy of short films based on MacBeth and most people would amputate their left arm to have a small part in one his films, even though he had a certain reputation. You helped Dieter with his lines, and it had been a while since you read the play at school, but this was very different to what the bard wrote.
This was also the first overseas trip you and Dieter would be taking together, the furthest being a trip to Disneyland California for your one-year anniversary. You sipped your tea from the mug you got on that trip, feeling satisfied that everything was checked off your extensive list.
Dieter had never met anyone who was as organised as you and certainly never met anyone who took making lists as seriously as you. It made sense to you, given your mostly freelance work and having lived alone for most of your adult life. You felt safe with lists. And yes, you liked having things packed and ready to go well before you went anywhere, it made sense. You never understood how people could do anything last minute. Speaking of which…
“Dieter, have you packed your toiletry bag?”
Said boyfriend emerged from the bathroom. “Yes, honey cakes”
“Checked everything off your list?”
“Yes ma’am” He lay on the bed next to you and handed over his messily scratched off list. “We’re not leaving for two days you know?”
Dieter was so used to just throwing things in a bag and hoping for the best. He’d never heard of packing cubes and now he’s the proud owner of his own set and everything he could possibly need for a trip away was ready to be packed in a suitcase.
“Exactly” you said “We’ll be away for two months, and I want to make sure we don’t forget anything. Who knows what’ll be available there.”
“It’s England, it’s kinda the same as here.”
“Some things are different; the chocolate for instance.”
Dieter sat up and hugged you from behind. “I know, it’s sweet, like you.”
He gave you a kiss on the cheek and took your mug from you, taking a sip himself, and watch you while you were scrutinising your list.
“Do you know how much time off we’ll get?” you looked to him.
“Weekends or something, I think.”
“So, we could maybe get to explore London a bit?”
“Well, I was thinking more not leaving our room, but what did you have in mind?”
You turned the pages of your travel notebook. “Well, I made a list…”
“Of course you did” he muttered affectionately.
“…of places I’d like to visit” you finished as you showed him the page of listed travel locations.
He swapped the mug for your notebook and looked over this new list.
“Crouch End, All Saints Church, Shaftesbury Avenue; these aren’t normal tourist places. Okay, what horror films are we talking here?”
“Shaun of the Dead, The Omen and American Werewolf”
“They do horror films in England now?”
You playfully swatted him on the chest. “You know they do. Did I not go on about Hammer Horror?”
“I did” he said playfully “But I was too distracted by your pretty face to notice”.
That got another playful swat from you.
“Is there anywhere you’d like to go?”
“Not really, unless…maybe Baker Street?”
You looked at him in surprise, “You’re not a Sherlock Holmes fan are you?”
“What? No, I’m talking Basil the Great Mouse Detective!”
“Ah, of course”
“Seriously underrated film”
*****
The non-stop flight from Los Angeles to London took over 10 hours and you were glad to be going business class. Trying to sleep in economy class felt like trying to go to sleep in a Saw contraption. Dieter had to uncanny ability to fall asleep anywhere; just give him a surface to lean on and he could sleep through the apocalypse.
You couldn’t understand how Dieter wasn’t excited by the luxury of not only going business class but by the business class lunge. But, you guessed, he was used to first class luxuries, or he hated traveling, it was hard to tell sometimes with him. He was at least happy he could watch his favourite films on the flight, even more excited when they had every Aardman film on board. You heard him humming along to the Wallace and Gromit theme song while you went to sleep. It was probably the best sleep you’ve ever had on a plane, and you could certainly get used to it.
Dieter promptly fell asleep during the car ride from the airport to the hotel. This was your first time in England, so you happily played the role of stary eyed tourist. You only woke Dieter once you saw the hotel approaching in the distance, awed by the prestige of it all. This was certainly a place once occupied by nobility. Your awe was broken when you heard a most unpleasant sound: Dieter had collapsed to the ground and was curled up in a panic attack.
“No…no…not this place…”
He could barely breathe, let alone get the words out and, before you could reach him, he passed out.
*****
Dieter awoke some time later and found himself a stranger in an even stranger place. He thought this place was gone from his nightmares, but now he finds himself stepped once more unto this hell.
He was vaguely aware of your voice in the distance; you sounded angry which was a rare occurrence. As soon as you approached him, you immediately softened. “I am so sorry Dieter; I didn’t know this was the same hotel as…how are you?”
He wasn’t sure, everything felt like it was closing in on him, like a weight was slowly crushing his chest.
“It’s stuffy. Need air”
“Of course.” You cooed and led him outside to the coldness of the English countryside. It helped somewhat. And you were comforting him as best you could.
“I can have us moved to a different hotel.”
“No, I don’t want to be a hassle to everyone.”
You grabbed his face so he could look you in the eyes.
“Your wellbeing is not a hassle.”
“I don’t want to make a fuss.”
“I want to make a fuss.”
He looked torn, he didn’t what to do, “I think…if you’re here, I’ll be fine.”
“Are you sure?”
He nodded, so you kissed his forehead. “Okay, but if you have even the slightest dark thought, tell me and I’ll sort something. And don’t be afraid to talk to me or anyone about anything, okay?”
He mumbled back a reply while you pulled him into a hug.
“I think our room has a bathtub. Do you want to have a nice soak?”
“Will there be lavender bath salts?”
“It’s a fancy hotel, so probably.”
You led him through to the reception, having already been given your room key while you berated the production team. Dieter paused and pointed to a random spot of the carpet.
“Oh look, that’s where I technically died.”
He started laughing hysterically and you dragged him away before they turned into sobs.
The staff had thankfully not placed you and Dieter in the room he was in before. It was a very nice suite, much bigger than your old apartment. And they had lavender bath salts, so you plopped Dieter into a steaming hot bath and went to unpack everything.
“Are you going to join me?” you heard a few minutes later.
“I want to get things unpacked, at least everything we need tonight and tomorrow. Are you hungry? Do you want anything?”
“Just you, honey cakes”
Well, you needed to take the toiletries into the bathroom.
You held him close to you that night in case any bad dreams decided to get through.
*****
You didn’t get to meet the infamous director until the second day of shooting. Ryan was known for being eccentric, but you thought he was extremely rude and acted like a spoiled child.
He absolutely detested colour and refused to acknowledge your existence until you wore your least colourful clothes which luckily, you did pack.
The man was impossible to work with, having a habit of saying one thing but meaning another. He’d constantly expect everyone around him to be able to read his mind, and only giving monosyllabic answers. He would throw a massive hissy fit and throw things around if he was questioned for anything. People would give their left arm to work with him? You'd happily take the bite of a zombie just to avoid him.
The crew, which was new for this shooting, as with every shoot, bonded in mutual frustration. You were all giving each other secret eye rolls whenever the director was talking nonsense, and some started recording whatever he said. They’d compare notes just to make sure no one was going crazy and to have insurance against being fired. One poor assistant was already reduced to tears as she’d somehow gotten his tea order wrong.
The cast was small: just Dieter playing MacBeth and three actresses playing the witches. Well, actresses was a loose term. Lucretia Schwartz was an underwear model, Cheery Lin a swimsuit model and Dencidee (yes that was her real name) a Tik Tok star known for dancing and lip synching. They were clearly cast for their looks rather than their talent and Ryan definitely favoured them, praising them so much, it was borderline creepy.
Dieter, however, got the opposite treatment; every little thing he did seemed to be picked over like a rat picking at a bone. Dieter was criticised to the point of frustration every day. There was an on-set therapist, to nobody’s surprise, so he had constant sessions with them along with most of the crew.
You encouraged him to vent his frustrations when back at the hotel, as normally he bottled up his feelings until he exploded in a flurry of chaos.
Today was a particularly bad day.
“Fifty takes. Fifty fucking takes for one fucking line!”
Dieter was lying face down on the bed as he only had the energy to voice his anger. He did happily accept soothing back rubs from you, and he had severe anger related tension in his back.
“And that Tik Tok twit goes and does one take with the worst delivery and his eminence claims it’s a perfect take?”
“She did seem a bit wooden” you agreed with him.
“Wooden? I’ve seen more convincing performances from an actual piece of wood!”
He turned over in a frustrated sigh, so you could see how tired his eyes were. He took one of your hands and started tracing circles in your palm, while you brushed the hair from his face with the other one.
“This reminds me of how Stanley Kubrick treated Shelley Duvall on the set of The Shining. I just hope your hair doesn’t fall out from the stress.”
“So, if someone puts an axe in his back, no one would mind?”
“An axe is too good for him” you mused “It’s not cold enough to leave him outside to freeze to death, so maybe locking him in the hotel freezer would do. Then hope he spends a cursed eternity trapped in a picture”.
“You my dear, have a very depraved mind” Dieter says as he kisses your hand “One of the many reasons I love you.”
You gave him an amused look “Want me to keep listing ways of offing him?”
“It’s foreplay to my ears.”
*****
Those two months were an arduous ordeal. Dieter would be subjected to all forms of verbal abuse on set, and at night, he would sleep. He was prescribed something to help with the anxiety and stress and the medication usually left him feeling drowsy, but it helped him sleep undisturbed.
Whenever you had days off, you’d drag him away for as long as possible, usually for weekend trips to London. You took him to fun spots, trying afternoon tea, exploring the Natural History Museum, Harrods and Borough Market, getting slightly distracted by all the English cheeses and distracting Dieter with the English chocolate. You even got tickets to The Lion King on the West End. Those days were enjoyable, and an occasional smile would grace Dieter’s lips. You took several photos of those occasions. It almost felt like you were having a fun holiday.
You almost didn’t come on this shooting trip, having been offered a job back in LA, but now you’re glad you came with Dieter. He would not have been able to handle all this by himself and if he didn’t come home…you didn’t want to think about it.
*****
Finally, last day on set. Everyone on crew was ready to celebrate no longer having to put up with this tyrannical egomaniac. You were happy to celebrate with Dieter and tell him about a surprise you had planned for him.
For some reason, you had been sent off set to collect something random that apparently his eminence absolutely needed and only you could get. You were wearing colour today, in defiance so that was probably the reason for it.
It took you most of the filming day for this errand, so by the time you got back, filming had wrapped. The set seemed almost deserted you wondered…
You were fuming.
This must be breaking so many laws on so many levels. Now you know why you were sent away.
“Are those…?”
“Pig guts, yes”
“And that…?”
“Cow manure”
Gwen, working on costumes, was one of the few left behind due to the stench, was equally furious.
“This wasn’t on the call sheet”.
“Last minute decision by our esteemed director. Makes the finale more dramatic apparently.”
She helped you hose the filth off of Dieter before taking him into a nearby bathroom. His costume was completely ruined along with his state of mind, most likely. He was numb, barely responding to what was happening.
As soon as you got back to the hotel, you packed up all your belongings and left to check you and Dieter into an airport hotel. When there, you led him into the shower and washed him until the water ran clear. Then you held him tight as he finally broke down into tears. It was a long night, but he finally managed to sleep.
*****
The following day, Dieter spent a good hour facetiming with his therapist in L.A. while you were on the phone to whoever was in charge of production. Apparently, what happened to Mr. Bravo was not exactly considered a crime; something to do with no physical harm happening and a contract being signed before filming blah blah blah. You were stuck in an endless loop of people mincing their words and saying a lot but not saying anything at all. They seemed to be doing everything in their power to protect their esteemed director as he had won several awards and appointed an OBE. You didn’t care if he got a Nobel Prize for Peacekeeping, no one treats a person like that and gets away with it. You now understood why Carrie went and telekinetically destroyed everyone who ever hurt her. But then you had a better idea: revenge was best served by people with hidden recording devices…
*****
Dieter was almost back to normal; he was at least sitting up and able to hold a conversation. You were watching Curse of the Were-Rabbit together and he was laughing at every joke, which was a relief to you.
“How are you feeling?”
“Better, will be much better when we’re home”.
“We’ll be home soon” you kissed the top of his head “But we’ll be making a short detour”.
He lifted his head from your shoulder in question while you grabbed something from the bedside table.
“We deserve a bit of happy news so…”
You handed him a gift bag. He looked inside and then to you.
“Is this?”
“Yes”
“Are we?”
“Yes”
He pulled out a pair of Mickey Mouse ears.
“We’re going to Disneyland Paris!”
Dieter collapsed against you in a muddled hug and cried, but this time from happiness.
*****
The next day, you were waiting at your gate headed for Paris. Dieter was clearly excited for the first time in a while, already wearing his Mickey Mouse ears without shame.
“Do you think they’ll have churros at Paris?”
“Maybe, we’ll have to find out.”
His hand hadn’t left yours since leaving the airport hotel, almost like he needed an anchor to avoid floating away into sadness again. You squeezed his hand every now and again to reassure him you were still there.
“I could write us a list of foods we should try.”
He gave you a cheeky glance, “You haven’t made a list yet?”
But before you could answer, there was a chattering amongst the crowd, everyone looking at their phones in disbelief. One of the many TV screens at the gate were displaying a sudden news bulletin. There was no audio but the story playing out was clear: acclaimed director Ryan was having many allegations being held against him for abuse and malpractice. A grainy video showed him screaming at some poor soul. The chatting was now fluttering around the airport.
“It’s not the first time he’s done this.”
“I always knew he was a creep.”
“Does the abuse excuse the art?”
Dieter was looking around, but you tugged him back into attention.
“Come on, they’ve just announced boarding.” And you started leading him towards the queue forming.
“You don’t want to find out about that?” he asked.
“Who do you think started it?” you looked up at his startled face.
“You did this?”
“I didn’t do much, just encouraged everyone with evidence to leak it to the press, and there were so many of us with phones on set so…”
“You, honey cakes, can be evil when you want to be.”
“Evil?” you asked “Me? I’d say I’m more of a Robin Hood type character.”
“Well, I’m glad to be your Maid Marion.”
“You’re talking animated version, right?”
“Absolutely. Underrated film.”

Author’s notes: It’s Tyson’s first time back to play a regular season game at Ball Arena... and AJ is tagging along. Some feels going on, but not bad ones, and a good reminder of why the path Tyson is on is a good one. This chapter is kind of AJ-centric, but we’ll get back to the regularly scheduled Tyson content next week!
AJ looked at the Sabres’ schedule on her phone, realizing just how close the next road trip was. A game at home against LA, and then three on the road. This was going to be the longest time available that she could make her way back to Minneapolis to pack up the last few things in her and Tyson’s apartment before trekking it back one more time.
However, this trip wasn’t going to be as straightforward as that. AJ had been working with Nate to surprise Jess - it’d been far too long since those two hung out. And with the Sabres playing the Avalanche in Denver, it was the perfect chance for AJ to get a little bestie time as Jess would be on break from her nursing program. (And to hang out with Nate, of course!) Both she and Nate definitely had to be inconspicuous about texting too much.
The first part of the week went pretty quickly. After the Christmas Market that Tyson surprised AJ with, he had practice and the LA game on Tuesday. That was a wild game, with six goals scored in the third, all by Buffalo. The next day, both Tyson and AJ bid each other a quick “see you soon” as they prepared to board different flights to the same place.
AJ was a little bummed out though, because Tyson already had made plans with JT to get dinner that night, even though AJ and Nate had made their plans earlier. She wasn’t going to keep him from seeing his friends though, that definitely wouldn’t be fair.
AJ: Hey, on the ground. Do I need to set up a ride?
Nate: Nah I’m actually here waiting for you. Just like old times, right?
And with that, it really was. Nate found what gate AJ had arrived at, and picked her up, whisking her back to the city that she used to call home. Driving past familiar locations made her smile, thinking of all the memories that were made in the past year and a half.
It was actually hard to believe that she’d only moved there the summer before last and barely nine months after that she moved away to Minnesota. And now Buffalo was home. If you’d have asked AJ two years ago where she thought she’d be at, that was definitely not the answer she would have given you.
Nate pulled up into the drive, and pushed a button to open his garage. Once the G-Wagon was tucked safely inside, AJ hopped out with her backpack, heading inside without Nate. She was already making herself at home, indeed just like old times. Climbing the stairs to the guest room, she tossed her bag at the foot of the bed, and came back down to find Nate shaking his head and smiling.
“Glad you’re back, we’ve missed you around here. A few of the guys even were asking about how you two were doing, more specifically YOU,” Nate nodded in AJ’s direction, “You left your mark here, for sure.”
“I can honestly say it’s been nothing of what I expected to be up to, that’s for sure. A few guys texted after the news broke about coming to Buffalo, but really it’s been pretty quiet. I think Tyson’s been in contact with a few of the guys though. Pretty sure he and Comph are getting dinner tonight. Speaking of which, what is our plan for the night?” AJ questioned how this was going to work, as they really hadn’t made any sort of game plan with Jess.
“Actually Jess texted me about thirty minutes ago, she’s finishing up some errands and will be home. How do you want to play it?” Nate was leaving it up to AJ.
AJ pulled out her phone, contemplating what to type.
AJ: Hey, you doing anything with Nate tonight?
A few moments passed. Nate smirked, already knowing that he told Jess they had plans for the night but he wasn’t saying what it was.
Jess: Just heading home from my hair appointment. Nate’s got some surprise for me tonight.
AJ: Damn. I was hoping we could facetime or something tonight since Tyson’s in Denver. Well fuck.
Both AJ and Nate chuckled.
Jess: We’ll have to schedule another time. But I’m really excited to see what Nate’s got planned, he’s been talking about it for almost a week and won’t give me any hints. Just pulling in the drive at his place, finding out soon.
AJ: Must be big! Well I’ll let you get to it… fill me in later!
Nate met Jess at the door, greeting her with a gentle hug (his ribs were still quite sore from the crosscheck he sustained a few games earlier,) and a kiss. AJ laid low in the kitchen, knowing that Jess would probably grab some water as soon as she got in. She quietly hopped up onto a chair at the island in the middle of the room and waited patiently. The sound of the couple’s voices could be heard getting closer.
“So what’s for dinner tonight? I don’t smell anything coming from the kitchen. Are we going out for dinner?” Jess stopped dead in her tracks as she crossed the threshold to the kitchen, eyes widening when she saw who sat at the counter. “AJ WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!”
AJ just laughed as she hopped off the chair to give Jess a hug that turned into both of them squealing and jumping around. The last time AJ and Jess shared one of these was on Canada Day, when Tyson proposed (again).
“Duh, I told you I thought we should facetime tonight. But like, face-to-face! You know the Sabres and Avs play tomorrow night, but I thought I’d drop in to say hello to my best friend I haven’t seen in months!”
Jess looked around with a confused look on her face. “Where’s Tyson at?”
“That guy… don’t get me started, but he already has plans. I can’t blame him though, I guess I didn’t clarify enough. He’s actually meeting up with JT for dinner tonight,” AJ explained, continuing, “So I’m afraid it’s just me being a third wheel tonight with y’all. I hope that isn’t an inconvenience.”
“Well considering you were the surprise, I don’t think that makes you the inconvenience,” Nate chuckled, “But we do need to get going here shortly if we’re going to make it in time for the reservations. I think I picked your favorite, AJ…”
The three hit the road, with AJ texting Tyson along the way.
AJ: Feels like St. Louis again, the first time. You’re here, I’m here, but we’re not together. So close, yet so far. Miss you babe. (kissing emoji)
Oh, and Nate and Jess say hi and wish you were here.
Tyson: I say hi back! Maybe if it isn’t too late we can meet up for a drink or something. Wish you were staying with me tonight though. (heart emoji)
AJ: Keep me in the loop, you’re the one that has a game tomorrow, Nate’s still out. Tell JT I say hello!
To not be rude, AJ popped her phone back in her pocket as the three hopped out of Nate’s vehicle to walk inside the restaurant.
Upon being seated, it was like nothing had changed. Everyone talking about their day, what they’d been up to the past couple days. Mainly it was about AJ and Tyson’s adventures in Minneapolis and Buffalo. Lots about finding a new place to live that wasn’t a hotel again. Comparisons on the weather. Really though, AJ had only been there for a couple weeks, so it was a little difficult to talk a LOT about it.
After dinner had been finished, and a bottle of wine split amongst the three, AJ’s pocket was buzzing incessantly with Tyson texting.
Tyson: Hey
You should find us.
This is JT, I stole his phone.
He’s moping because you’re not here and it’s a little annoying.
Oh shit, he’s coming back. We’re at Uchi!
AJ showed her phone to Jess and Nate and shrugged.
“I guess we’re heading to Uchi?” Nate questioned as he threw down his card to take care of the check.
***
Heading inside, Nate was trying to be inconspicuous, texting JT to find where they were sitting. Thankfully Tyson’s back was to the door, and JT made eye contact just over his friend’s shoulder with someone giving him the shush sign.
The person behind Tyson was ignoring all rules of personal space, lips getting close to his left ear, preparing to whisper something in his ear.
“Welcome back to Denver, Tys… Did you miss me?” The words were low and raspy.
Tyson kept his eyes trained on the wall behind JT. His fear was that it was an old fling that found the two of them out for dinner, looking for another hookup for old time’s sake. In that very moment though, his only thoughts were that he missed AJ. Something there was really making him think of her. If he didn’t know any better, he swore he smelled the faintest touch of the fragrance she often put on after getting out of the shower. Very light, like when he’d steal her hoodies to put on.
It’s a good thing he wasn’t looking at JT in that moment, because he was trying to contain the laugh threatening to escape watching AJ try to sound not like herself.
AJ took advantage of Tyson’s eyes being closed, body paralyzed trying to not react to this woman’s advances.
“I thought you’d be excited to see me…”
A hand slid along Tyson’s jaw, turning his head toward the voice. His eyes opened, knowing the exact feeling of that hand sliding along his jaw.
“I am excited to see you, Eggo!” The smile on Tyson’s face was a mile wide as he jumped up and hugged AJ tight.
Nate and JT rolled their eyes at each other. Jess just stood there with a smirk.
Finding extra chairs to join them at the table, the fivesome chatted for nearly an hour and a half, until the waiter advised them that the kitchen and bar would be closing shortly. Tyson did not want AJ to leave his side, even for the night. He knew though that she and Jess had some super secret plan, and would probably be up a good chunk of the night. Tyson was going to have to share her, even if he didn’t want to.
Looking at his watch though, he definitely needed to get back to the hotel as there was a late morning skate for him, and one for JT as well. A long hug and a probably inappropriately long kiss was shared between he and AJ before prying them from each others’ grip.
“See you tomorrow at the game Jost… kick this guy’s ass,” AJ motioned at JT, who feigned hurt feelings, then laughed.
Nate corralled the ladies as the group exited the restaurant, heading back to where his car was stashed. It was quite the ordeal, wrangling those two was like herding cats - nearly impossible. The ride back to Nate’s was full of giggles and inside jokes that he had no clue about and was not about to ask. Finally at home, AJ and Jess decided to delay the late night shenanigans until morning as they were both tired from a long day.
“You two stay out of trouble, you hear?” AJ winked at Nate, as she headed to the guest room on the other side of the house where whatever may be going on that night would not be heard.
Nate missed AJ’s chirps.
Unpacking her overnight bag in the bathroom, AJ changed into her pajamas and took out her contacts, finally brushing her teeth. As soon as she curled up in bed, her phone buzzed on the nightstand, a reminder she should plug it in.
Tyson: I see JT got ahold of my phone. I wasn’t moping, I swear! But I’m glad he messaged you. You at Nate’s?
AJ:  Yeah, just got to bed. Too bad you’re not here, we totally could make all sorts of noise and they’d never hear us on the other side of the house (evil imp emoji)
Tyson: Don’t tempt me, but I do have to get some sleep tonight, gotta kick JT’s ass tomorrow… this hot girl at the restaurant told me to… gonna be thinking about her all night (kissing emoji)
AJ: I see how it is. (laughing emoji) Love you babe, see you tomorrow.
Tyson: Love you too. Sweet dreams.
Nate apparently let both Jess and AJ sleep in as he left to do some workouts, or at least what he could. AJ woke up to the sound of Tyson letting her know he was at Ball, chatting with a few of his old teammates. Heading to the kitchen, she found Jess looking out the window at the skyline, thinking about something.
“I don’t know what I should make my sign say.”
Yep, it was just like old times where AJ would have like four over the top ideas for signs for Tyson, and Jess would be struggling to come up with one for Nate (even though she always would still come up with one and STILL get done with her poster before AJ was even finished sketching the layout). Before tackling the signage issue though, it was determined there probably should be food and drink to be had. Mainly food though, too much drink caused AJ’s signs to get a little inappropriate.
With full stomachs and slightly lubricated minds, the two set out on their mission to come up with ideas and execute them with sharpies on posterboard. And following their normal tradition, a Sandra Bullock movie was put on the TV while the two worked. Today’s cinematic choice was The Heat. As the movie credits rolled, AJ finally was putting the finishing touches on her lettering.
“You know, I’m really running out of ideas that I can put on signs that won’t get me kicked out of the arenas…” AJ laughed.
She had a point, there are only so many clean, hockey-related pickup lines out there, and she’d used most of them on signs already.
The two approved of each other’s signs, and stashed them in Jess’ car before heading off to fulfill yet another old pre-game ritual, tacos and margs at Rio Grande. The two gossiped more about the guys and how things really were, not holding back thanks to the incredibly potent beverages they were not exactly sipping while they enjoyed the tacos.
“I have to ask… the mirror… it’s exactly what I think it is, isn’t it?” AJ giggled while motioning to the waitress to bring another round of manberry margaritas, “He had that damn thing at the old place too. I mean, I know he checks himself out before he goes out, but I really don’t think that is all it was for.”
All Jess could do was smirk.
“Thought so.” AJ lost it laughing.
Jess joined in.
This was what AJ missed about Jess being so far away - being able to cut loose and get silly. She had made new friends in Minnesota and was slowly meeting the WAGs of Buffalo, but none of them clicked with her like Jess did.
“So what’s Tyson’s deal, since you’ve nailed Nate’s…” Jess questioned.
AJ had to think about it for a moment.
“He likes it when I tug on those curls of his…” AJ drifted away, far away, thinking about the last time she did just that and how things ended up.
“Hey. Earth to AJ… come back, we gotta head to the arena.”
AJ grumbled at her memories replaying back being interrupted, but it was indeed getting close to game time. After paying the check, the two retrieved their signs and headed toward Ball Arena.
This was going to be the first time she wasn’t on the Avs side for warmies, but instead finding herself on the other side to watch Tyson warm up. It was a very bizarre feeling, the first time she’d been back since the trade. It was almost a little overwhelming.
If it were this way for her, she could only imagine how it was for Tyson. While waiting for the magic 16:00 mark, AJ watched the interview that was done with Tyson after their morning skate. He talked about the previous night going out with JT, and how it felt coming back to a place that he called home for almost six years. He touched on how he’s fitting in with the Sabres, and what he took from his time in an Avalanche sweater and is applying it to his current situation. And just how much he’s enjoying his time with Buffalo. Didn’t forget to also still talk about how great his former teammates on the Avs are too. (Funnily enough, Minnesota was NEVER brought up in the whole interview period. It was clear to the Denver journalists that he was done absolutely dirty there and were not going to bring it up.)
Suddenly, the sounds of the Dropkick Murphys filled the arena, and it was showtime. AJ’s sign went up against the glass, and she could see Jess’ sign wishing the whole team good luck across the ice. Looking up at the suites, she eyed Nate sitting up there, until her eyes went to the men in white, blue, and yellow took the ice in front of her. And after a few moments of pucks being shot at Luukonen finished up, Tyson skated right up to his adoring fan, wearing his name and number on her back. He read the sign, gave a sheepish grin while blushing. He kissed the knuckles of his glove and held them up against the glass, letting AJ press hers into the other side of it.
“Love you, Josty,” was mouthed one way.
“Love you babe!” was mouthed back with a wink before rejoining the rest of the team.
At the completion of warmups, Jess and AJ met up at their seats in the Avs Attack Twice end. It was definitely a different dynamic - they were no longer cheering for the same team. Jess whooped for the starters on the Avalanche, while AJ WOOO!ed for the Sabres taking the ice. With the game started, the skaters zipped back and forth with the puck. Not even a minute in, Thompson scored on Georgiev.
Then something happened that AJ wasn’t prepared for - during the TV timeout, the big screen featured a video showing off some of Tyson’s highlight reel and fun things he did with the Avs. At the completion of it, Tyson stood up and waved as much of the arena clapped for him. His eyes were glassy.
AJ’s were straight up waterworks at that point. Jess had to give her a little shit about it.
At the first intermission, the Sabres were up 2-0. Suddenly, the crowd around Jess and AJ started cheering, leaving the two to find that they were on the big screen, labeled as best frienemies as they wore opposing jerseys. The two playfully glared at each other and flaunted their team’s colors at each other before laughing. They both had received a few texts from mutuals that they were on TV already too, being talked about how despite now being on opposing teams, they were still best friends away from the arena.
The second period started, and AJ kept her eyes on Tyson. Receiving a pass from Olofsson, number 17 funneled the puck to Dahlin, who buried it into the net. AJ was on her feet cheering as Tyson quickly made eye contact and nodded her way before heading to the bench to get some high-fives.
The next two goals, however, were from Rantanen and Rodrigues in the third. With not much time left, the Avs pulled Georgiev for the extra attacker. It backfired, leaving Cozens to score the final goal of the game, an empty netter, sealing the win for Buffalo.
Again, it felt very weird for AJ to be happy the other team won in Ball Arena. But… the heart wants what it wants.
Knowing she wouldn’t get back to the dressing room, and that the Sabres were flying to Arizona for their next game that night, all AJ could do was text Tyson. It broke her heart, as well as his - instead of following him, she would be off to Minneapolis in the morning to finish packing and tying up loose ends there. The second stab to her already breaking heart was that she also had to leave Jess and Nate behind again.
Never goodbye, but see you later.
Tyson had texted from the airport, and again once on the ground safely. She agreed to do the same the next day on her flights.
With a few hours of sleep under their belts, Jess hauled AJ back to DIA to head north. The two vowed to make it all happen again soon, hopefully the next break in her nursing program.
Once AJ had boarded the plane, it was her turn to text the favorite line Tyson sent.
AJ: Text you when I land. Love you.
And she did a few hours later, when she found herself in what ended up being a very temporary home of Minneapolis. Getting a ride from the airport to the old building, she signed heavily as she unlocked the door.
The memories, although short, hit hard as she stepped inside. Boxes were still everywhere from when she was frantically packing for Tyson to move to Buffalo. The fridge was empty, sans some bottles of water and a bottle of ketchup. Looking out the patio doors, the skyline didn’t feel as inviting as it did before. Turning around though, something caught AJ’s eye.
Staring back at her from the living room on the sofa was Maple the Bear, holding a sign definitely in Tyson’s handwriting.
Tyson wanted me to tell you he misses you and loves you BEARY much!
Maple had been waiting WEEKS to give her that message, not knowing when she’d actually be there to receive it. Retrieving the note, she placed it in her laptop pocket of her backpack. From there, she slowly started picking up what few things were strewn about the apartment, starting piles to put things in boxes. Onto Chapter 34! https://at.tumblr.com/brainrattlers/play-it-cool-tyson-jost-34n/430f4im4icg0

How to save money on a weekend gateway?
If you want to save money on the next short trip, here is the key. Planning weekend gateways does not have to be expensive. There are several ways to reduce or cut the costs. Or example, you can search for a last-minute car rental for an unexpected price.
You may get one cheap if you want it for the odd hours.  Alternatively, booking flights for the least traffic hours may fetch you an affordable deal.  The blog lists other quick ways to save money on your next weekend gateway.
.
7 Ways to have a budget-friendly weekend trip
Sometimes, you can’t delay the much-needed weekend trip. If a lot is going on in your life, a refreshing holiday may help. Alongside self-healing, it should be purse-friendly. Here are some tips to save money and make it worthwhile:
1)      Look for cheap staycations
Booking a place to stay at the last minute may prove the best deal. Well, yes, it is ideal to ensure accommodation bookings early, but sometimes it’s fun. What if you can fetch one without spending more? It is particularly possible if you plan to stay in a private holiday setting in the UK. Contact the company and check whether they are eager for a discount. In exchange, you can send the advance payment to seal the booking.
2)      Only use carry or handbag
Checking in with luggage is costly and time-consuming. You can avoid it at all by just packing a handbag. If going for a day or two, you don’t need much luggage. If you must, you may carry small bags that are easy to keep. Not to mention, the airline can even delay the luggage. Thus, check the convenience and the money it may cost you to pay extra for additional luggage. It will help you carry accordingly.
3)      Drive your car
What could be better than using your car to drive away the weekend? It will save you on car rental space, additional maintenance charges (if you must) or extended miles costs.  Analyse the repairs and prepare your car. Re-fuel your car and check the licenses.
If your car needs repairs, contact experts. Earning individuals above 18 generally prefer cars over everything. It makes the journey comfortable and fun with friends.  If earning but waiting for the pay, don’t worry.
Tumblr media
Some repairs should not wait. Thus, check the best quick cash facility for good or bad credit history. You may get no guarantor loans for bad credit UK marketplace. It helps you get instant finance up to £10000 without a third-party guarantee. It is ideal for individuals with consistent income and a decent credit history.
4)      Book a package instead of paying separately
It is one of the best ways to save a whopping sum. It will help you get access to everything without wasting time. Moreover, booking accommodations, transport, tickets, etc., separately may ruin your budget.
Explore the best packages online and get one from an authentic platform. However, sometimes, you may find a hotel too small to adjust. You would not like to eat everything or the menu provided. You can hire a car in that case and explore the place.

Don't Panic! Here's What to Do if You Lose Your Passport Abroad
youtube
Lost Passport?
Losing your passport abroad can be stressful, but it happens more often than you think. Fortunately, there are steps you can take to minimize the impact and get back on track.
Before Your Trip
Prepare copies: Make two photocopies of your passport data page and main ID page. Keep one copy in your carry-on and another in a separate bag that you carry daily. Consider storing digital copies in a cloud storage service accessible offline.
Access to documents: Leave your original birth certificate or citizenship certificate with a trusted family member or store a digital copy securely. This simplifies document verification if needed.
Embassy & policy info: Research the nearest embassy or consulate location in your travel destination. Save their contact details and the lost/stolen passport policy of your home country.
If You Lose Your Passport
Thorough search: Before panicking, thoroughly retrace your steps and search all your bags, pockets, and potential locations where you may have left your passport.
Report immediately: Contact your embassy or consulate without delay. Inform them your passport is lost and confirm the process for acquiring a replacement or emergency travel document. Schedule an appointment if necessary.
Police report: Obtain a police report documenting the loss. This strengthens your case and may be required by your embassy.
Gather documents: Have your photocopies, original or digital copies of birth/citizenship certificates, and any other requested documents ready.
Next Steps
Embassy visit: Visit the embassy or consulate with your prepared documents and follow their instructions.
Replacement or ETD: Depending on your situation, you may receive a replacement passport or an emergency travel document (ETD). ETDs are temporary documents valid for specific journeys home.
Plan adjustments: Be prepared to reschedule flights, tours, or accommodation due to delays in obtaining a new document.
Conclusion
Losing your passport is inconvenient, but staying calm and following these steps can expedite the recovery process. Remember, many travelers face similar situations and support is readily available.
Additional Tips
Consider registering your trip with your home country's embassy or consulate for additional assistance.
Invest in an anti-theft sling bag or day pack to securely store your passport and essential documents.
Familiarize yourself with the contact information and procedures of your travel insurance company in case they can contribute to the recovery process.

These include well-known names such as Delta Air Lines, American Airlines, United Airlines, and Southwest Airlines. Close To You(Harry Styles x oc)
It started in the early morning. 6:45 am to be precise. It was a chilly Albuquerque morning, and the balloons were going up, as they always did that early. Leaving the house as soon as she could, starting the 20 minute drive to work like she did every day. Arriving at work with no problem, she was immediately called into her boss, Sofia's office.
"Em, could you come in here for a sec? And close the door?"
Emily's pov
I slowly walked into Sofia's office, closing the door and sitting down.
"Did I do something again?"
The older woman chuckles and shakes her head.
"No. But I wanted to talk to you. Do you remember when Christopher said we were expanding into Europe?"
I nod my head, briefly remembering the conversation.
"Well, they want you and a few drivers to go to London for a couple months to start up. Your position would be my current one.
After that, the month flys fast.
The attendant scans my boarding pass.
"Hey Em, do you have all the addresses for where we are staying? Ryan forgot to send it to us."
"Yeah. We're all in the same place, just separate units. We'll be fine."
He nods and briefly looks at my screen.
"Really? Demon Slayer again?"
I flip him off and he laughs and returns to his seat. After a couple minutes, the person next to her speaks up.
"Is it good? What you're watching?"
I take out my headphones and turn to the stranger, about to reply, when I see his face and my mouth drops.
"I-I um yeah it is. I-I like it."
He smiles and holds out his hand to me.
" 'M Harry."
I smile and shake his had. I'm pretty sure he could tell I was shaking.
"I-I'm Emily. I-it's nice to meet you!"
He laughs and I swear I could just die after hearing that sound.
"Y'must know who I am."
I nod and blush.
"I love your music. Always makes me feel better and brings a smile to my face."
He smiles.
" 'M glad to hear that. Love makin music and gettin to share it. Means a lot t'me that it helps s'many."
I nod and we talk for a bit. I don't think I've ever actually had this meaningful of a conversation with anyone before.
"S'what are you watchin? Looks interesting."
"Oh um that?
"Y-yeah I'd love to! And I'd never do that! That's a betray of trust and that's one thing I refuse to do to anyone!"
He smiles and takes my phone, putting his number in it.
"Text me love. Would love t'get coffee with you sometime." I smile and nod, waving him goodbye as I wait for Jackson and Adam to meet me up front.
So I decide to pull out my phone to text him.
E- Hi Harry! It's Emily!😊
H-Couldn't wait could y'love?😉
E-I  could've! I'm just waiting at baggage claim and the two idiots I'm traveling with are teasing me!😒
H-Yeah? S'not nice. Should I come steal you away?
E-Ha! As much as I would love that, I have to get the three of us settled in and dispatch them. Maybe coffee tomorrow?
H-Sounds great! I know a great place! I'll text you the address😊 See you tomorrow love
E-See you tomorrow❤️
TIME SKIP BECAUSE MY BRAIN DIED
It's been a couple months since I met Harry. And everyday with him is amazing. We both work quite a bit but still manage to see each other a couple times a week. But unfortunately... I'm going home soon. With the hiring of more staff, I'm not needed and they want me to come home. And now I have to tell Harry. I'm waiting for him at our usual spot and I see him come up to me. I stand up and meet him halfway, walking into his warm embrace.
"Missed you love."
"Missed you too."
He caressed my cheek and kissed my forehead. I forced a small smile.
"Y'okay love? Look a little down."
"Y-yeah I'm fine. But we do need to talk."
He looks at me with concern as I lead him to our table and we sit down.
"So you know how I've been telling you how well things have been going with setting up the new branch?"
He nods his head in acknowledgment.
"Well... it's done. There's new staffing and multiple drivers... so they want me back home."
We sit in silence for just a minute.
"When... when d'you leave?"
"In 3 days...Look Harry... I don't want this to be the end of whatever this is between us. I like you. And these past couple months? You made me feel so alive. I've never felt this way before. I know this sounds corny but I don't want this to be the end of you don't..."
He pauses for a minute and bursts out laughing. I look at him in confusion.
"How do you always seem to take the words out of my mouth?"
He pauses for another minute.
" 'course I still want t'see you. I love spending time w'you. We'll work it out somehow."
He takes me out of my chair and hugs me tight. He pets my head and I start crying.
"Shhh. It's okay love. M'not lettin you go that easily. You're stuck with me."
"But I'm gonna be in New Mexico! And you're still trying to write your album!"
"You're forgetting about something though."
I just look at him in complete and utter confusion. Those are the facts though... how could I be forgetting something?
"How often have you FaceTimed y'mum while you've been here?"
"I don't know- probably like a good couple dozen- ohhhh! Duh!"
He laughs and hugs me tighter.
"Know it's not ideal but we'll make it work. And I'll come visit you o'course. Can't go long without my muse, now can I? Never get the album finished without you." I blush and bury my head in his chest, causing him to chuckle.
"I'm know you would do an amazing job finishing it. You don't need me for inspiration Mr. I like to write songs about sex."
He chuckles and lifts my head up, forcing me to look him in the eyes.
"Course I do. I've written 2 songs already. Because of you. So I definitely need you. So stop thinkin so little o'yourself."
I nod, tearing up a little.
"Will you come see me off?"
He smiles and lifts me up.
"Really think I wouldn't? I'd never give up the chance t'see you, even if it is goodbye."
He kisses my nose, making me smile.
"Let's go get you packed up, yeah?" He grabs my bag and leaves a tip for the waiter.
"Wait you're gonna help me pack?"
TIME SKIP TO THE AIRPORT
I woke up early this morning and I'm not ready to leave. Harry came to see me off though. I grab his hand and pull him off to the side.
"Something wrong love?"
I take a long deep breath.
"No... I just. I want to tell you something. I want to get it off my plate before I leave... Harry... I love you. And I know this is probably way too soon to say but- I just wanted to tell you. And I totally understand if you-"
Before I can finish, he grabs my face and kisses me. I close my eyes and focus on the feeling of his lips against mine. After a minute or so, he slowly lets go. He lets out a chuckle.
"Sometimes... I swear... you talk s'much that no one can get a word in."
I blush and bury my face in his chest until he pulls me out and places his finger under my chin, lifting my head up.
"I love you, Emily. I mean it."
I start to tear up a little.
"What did I ever do to deserve you?"
"Dunno, because I am an angel."
He batts his eyes at me and flashes that smile that I love so much.
"Oh hush. I try to be cheesy and you decide to be cheeky."
He chuckles and hugs up and we don't let go until they call for boarding for my flight home. He kisses me once more and I let the tears fall down my face. As soon as we let go, he wipes my tears with his thumb and smiles at me.
"Promise y'text me when you're home?"
I nod my head and give him one last hug and I let go, letting the tears fall.
A COUPLE WEEKS LATER
Things have gone back to normal for the most part. I'm back to doing my old job. It hasn't been too bad. But I miss Harry like crazy. We FaceTime at least 3 times a day and talk on the phone almost every second. He's been singing me to sleep recently and honestly I always wake up refreshed in the morning because of it.
Right now, I'm sitting at my desk, entering orders, when I see a name flash across my phone screen. I smile and answer.
E- Well hello there handsome
H-Hi love! What're y'doing later this week?
E-Oh, you know, the usual. Working and going to my sisters this weekend I think. What are you up to?
H-Oh, you know, just planning a trip to go see my favorite girl this weekend.
My eyes go wide.
E-REALLY?!
He laughs.
H-Mhm... Mum and Gemma wanna meet you. So... they were gonna come with... if that's okay...
E-I-I'd love to meet them! But isn't it too soon? I mean we haven't even made anything official...
H- That's what I said! But according to Gem, I refuse to shut up about you so they are insisting on meeting you.
I let out a little chuckle.
E- I guess if I'm meeting them, you should meet my mom and my sisters... well... some of them.
H-We'll be in Thursday. I'm booking hotels for mum, Gem and Jeff.
E-I'm sorry... are you expecting to stay with me?
H- I mean-
I let out a loud snort.
E- I'm kidding. Of course you can stay with me. But it's only a one bed so you can sleep with me or on the couch. I'll ask for Friday off and see if Sofia will approve it.
H-Don't worry bout that. We'll probably sleep Friday and explore later.
E-text me your flight details and I'll come get you Thursday after I get off. I can't wait to see you!
H- Me too love. I love you

10 SIMPLE TRAVEL TIPS TO SAVE MONEY
Minimal packing
In addition to saving money on checked luggage fees, there are a few more reasons to travel light. To begin with, traveling light makes getting around much simpler. You'll be more agile and able to manage public transportation if you carry a light suitcase or backpack as opposed to feeling like you must take a taxi.
How then do you travel light? Bring clothing that is simple to wash in the sink. Choose garments that you can mix and match while keeping an eye out for quick-drying things. You don't need to stuff four pairs of shoes into your backpack because the defaults are the essentials that match practically any outfit.
Compact packaging also means you won't want to spend money on souvenirs because you won't have room in your bag or suitcase for them.
Tumblr media
Shop at neighborhood supermarkets
The local markets itself can be an adventure. You'll come across a variety of delicacies that you might not typically find at home. Additionally, having food available can help you save money because you won't be as tempted to purchase that stale, pricey muffin from the hotel cafe just because you're hungry.
Snack-packing
The next best thing is to bring snacks from home if you are unable to visit a nearby market. Protein-rich foods, such as dried meats and protein bars, can help you feel satisfied while taking up little room in your luggage.
When you're on the go, buying bottled water can potentially add up to a substantial price. Pack your canteen and think about bringing a portable water bottle that collapses to fit in your pocket if you have access to clean water.
Go into the terminal lounge
The airport lounge is among the best places to get food when traveling. Numerous high-end travel credit cards grant entry privileges to lounges, frequently via the Priority Pass lounge membership program. Although the quality of the food varies from lounge to lounge, you can typically count on getting snacks like fruit, chips, cookies, and coffee. Sometimes a full buffet is available in the fancier lounges.
Along with meals, lounges can provide Wi-Fi at rates that are frequently faster than those at airports. Some lounges also offer massages, gyms, and baths. To make the most of the amenities, get to the airport early.
Be on time
Give yourself plenty of time to arrive early at the airport. If you're running late, it's easier to panic-hauled a pricey taxi than to take public transportation, which is far less expensive. Additionally, you can discover that the cost of carpooling on routes to the airport can fluctuate. You can prevent a price increase if you have more time.
Avoid running the risk of having to reschedule your flight at the last minute.
Tumblr media
Obtain a refund of the TSA PreCheck or Global Entry membership fee
By requesting TSA PreCheck or Global Entry, you can avoid the lines at the airport. The US Department of Homeland Security offers two different Trusted Traveler programs.
You will be permitted to utilize the emergency lanes, which frequently have shorter, faster pathways because people are not required to remove their shoes, computers, belts, or coats. 94% of TSA PreCheck travelers waited less than five minutes in December 2021, per TSA data.
Your application fee, which is typically $85 for TSA Pre-Check or $100 for Global Entry (although the TSA Pre-Check fee was recently reduced to $78), may be refunded by some credit cards.
Benefit from a credit card free night offer
Even credit cards for hotels with annual fees around $100 occasionally come with free hotel night certificates. It can be a good decision to get one of these cards to save some money with one free night stay, provided the value of your hotel room exceeds the annual fee on your credit card (which is highly likely).
Additionally, credit cards frequently provide added benefits like elite status, which enhances your stay, and bonus points, which can make subsequent travels free or inexpensive. than.
Hotel bookings using points
Speaking about bonus points, you ought to spend them instead of hoarding your hotel points. While using points instead of cash when making reservations is undoubtedly a wise move to protect your cash savings, there are a few additional advantages as well: You can keep resort fees at bay: Resort fees, which are additional fees that hotels impose for the use of extra amenities like swimming pools and Wi-Fi, are inconvenient and can occasionally reach $50 per night. Thankfully, certain hotel reward programs don't charge for points-based reservations, such Hilton Honors and World of Hyatt.
If you stay longer when booking a stay using points, you may be eligible for additional discounts. For every five consecutive nights spent at a Marriott property sponsored with Marriott Bonvoy points, for instance, you get one free night of the lowest point value. Similar rules apply at Hilton, where members who have at least Silver Elite status receive a free Thursday night when using points.
Off-season travel
Off-season travel is not only a good method to avoid the crowds and their inconveniences, but you may frequently find lower deals. The average airfare for vacation travel is more expensive than any other booking window, according to a NerdWallet review of more than 1,110 airline tickets done in the spring of 2021.
Holiday season airfares are about 41% more expensive than other flights booked around six months in advance during non-holiday times.
Experience the sights without spending any money
Even expensive excursions to well-known locations like San Francisco, New York City, or Walt Disney World don't have to be financially disastrous.
At Disney World, for instance, there are lots of free activities. On a ride around the monorail or from the beach at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, you can view the fireworks. As an alternative, most large cities provide free walking tours (although tour guides often rely on gratuities, so tip accordingly).
Give free tourist attractions the upper hand over paid ones. For instance, entry to the de Young Museum in San Francisco costs about $15, but one of its coolest spaces, the Hamon Observation Tower, offers free 360-degree views of the city.
The Saint Louis Museum of Art, the Saint Louis Science Center, and the Saint Louis Zoo are just a few of the city's many top-notch cultural institutions, but you should start there. Then, if time allows, proceed to the paid attractions.
