Venti 🕊️🍃🎶x Reader-
It’s Date night with the beloved bard…and the other 999 winds, apparently.
(A One shot)
Oh, to be dancing with the ever graceful and divine and not petty in the slightest lord Barbatos in the thousand winds temple as he twirls you around, so happy that you came back to Mondstadt to spend the evening with him.
As he dips you, he hopes you don’t notice how there are small winds sprites throwing around Cecelia and wind wheel aster petals, almost invisible. He doesn’t mind them being there…so long as none of them try to shoot their shot…
As you continue swaying with him…something light and breeze-blessed is discreetly placed in your hair. You’ve come to be very attune with the wind and it’s many antics…so you open your eyes from the kiss you were about to enter with the beautiful bard. Said beautiful bard is now pouting when you place your hand on his chest, eyes closed with his soft lips ready for yours.
“Whyd ye stewhp?” He pouts, his eyebrows furrow. “Windbluhhhmm…”
“What’s this, Venti?” You giggle as you feel around your hair, and suddenly you find it- a beautiful crown of Cecelias and Windwheel asters- you and Venti’s favorite flowers, intertwined. “Did you make this? It’s so pretty…”
“Make what?”
He opens those beautiful green eyes of his, and now he just seems slightly confused as he cocks his head- but then, almost instantly, he begins to blush madly, and pulls at his collar.
“oh…ehe…so…haha…”
“Venti…” you coo teasingly as you you walk your fingers up his chest to his chin, then twirling his loosened hair in your fingers. “What’s the matter?”
He gulps as his eyes fixate on your waist. It’s more of a glare, actually…
“Uhm…do I have something on me?” Now you’re a bit worried. “Is it bad?”
You look down at your outfit, confused. Then you see it- a tiny windsprite, trying to attach a Cecelia to the waistline of your outfit.
“Oh my-oh my!” You beam excitedly, your hands over your mouth as you look up at the bard. “This is the cutest thing ever-wait, in your hair too!!”
In his hair, another sprite is playing around with the Cecelia in his hair. It seems so content with its life, minding its own business while the anemo archon…maybe not so much.
He blows his fringe out of his face, and huffs. “See, Windblume…I asked them to be discreet for one, one evening…but…”
“Why…they’re so sweet…oh, hello there!” The little sprite is shoving itself into the palm of your hand, nuzzling it as you begin to stroke them with your finger.
He blushes at how sweet you are to them already…his heart is melting. But those cheeky little things…hmph.
“Well…” he sighs, hand on his hip. He shakes his head with a small pout.
“I’m sure you’ve had…similar experiences…with your family, huh?”
You think back to that night, sitting in the hands of the statue with him. What he told you then… Instantly, the dots are connected.
“Oh, Venti, this is the most precious thing ever!!! You’re probably the best big brother to each and every one of them, aren’t you?” You direct your attention back to the sprite in front of you, gently pinching its chubby cheek-so reminiscent of the archons own soft cheeks. “Isn’t he? Isn’t he?” You coo. “But wait…what’s so wrong with you floating around? You’re just the sweetest thing and-“
“a-HEM.” The bard clears his throat, his nose turned up with his arms crossed.
…
Ah. It seems the bard is a smidge…jealous, isn’t he? A bit selfish when it comes to you, hmm?
“Oh, Venti…you’re so silly…” you give him a kiss on his cheek. “You know you’re the cutest of all…at least, to me…”
You pinch his cheek, and he sputters.
“Th-that’s not what I meant! Ehehehehe…nice one though…”
He takes you back into his arms, and the little sprite hanging off of you zips away quickly. Now they are the one pouting as the bard blows them a raspberry.
“Venti!” You laugh, half scoldingly. “Maybe I should take back what I said…”
“Oh, don’t let this rivalry steer you away from me, eh Windblume?” He coos, pulling you closer.
“Just gotta remind the wind know that you’re all mine.”
He finally pulls you into that kiss he was waiting for. You just know he’s purposefully dragging it out so obnoxiously to gross the poor little things out…
But when your lips finally part and eyes are opened, there’s a gaggle of them- somehow, they managed to set up a Kamera. All you can pick up is faint chiming, as if they are all snickering. Venti, based on the expression on his face right now as you stand next to him…he likely knows everything they are saying.
The thousand winds are…they’re quite the special bunch, aren’t they?

Tighnari:You read the book?
Collei:It was left out on the table one time. There’s a third character in this scene though so how are they-
Cyno and Aether: *stare eagerly*

Cyno:*waiting eagerly*
Collei:…*inhales* YOU’RE WRONG! Cyno is the best there is! Believing is what matters most!

Collei: (Please end me…)
Aether:Then let’s test your faith! *fans out cards*
Cyno:Name your terms.
Aether:Nine separate matches. You can change your deck in between them. Your friends shall be the judge!
Cyno: (Oh? Going off script ay?) I accept these-
Aether:One more thing! We all know summon cards attack rotation is dictated by placement time and turn order. With that in mind, I propose no matter the current status of a players deck, all summon cards will do their move accordingly at the end of the rounds.
Cyno:*eyes widened* I see. So that’s your game? Not bad; not bad at all! I knew you were my strongest rival!
Collei:Wait, that means…
Aether:It’s now possible for a game to end in a draw if you’re not careful. Cyno, show your resolve! Prove to me you are worthy of the crown!
Cyno:I accept your challenge! *reveals deck* Come, Aether!
“IT’S TIME TO DUEL!”
Tighnari:Finish the meal and blow out your candles before you accidentally burn my house down!

Definitely Every Good Gold Digger, I mean it has the most going on (pretty sure it makes up over half of my total word count on ao3) and if you actually stop to consider the premise it’s literally two people that never meet in canon going through the most frustrating speed dating slow burn I can create while also being interspersed with random time jumps so I can tell a story that takes place over several years. So I’d say the rest is pretty tame haha

Not often actually bc most of my writing actually happens in classes where my background sound is the teacher I should be listening to lol

Based on hits, Every Good Gold Digger. Based on kudos, Meet the Family. But considering EGGD has far more subscriptions by far and also it’s definitely the one I’m more well known for so I’m going to give it the crown

On ao3, 24, and then there’s another from an ask I’ve been meaning to upload, and then there’s various half-finished wips that may or may not turn into anything lol

TECHNICALLY some of them have had outlines but very few of them remain true to them so mostly I make it up so long as I have the main story beats in mind

still working on the dick kidnapping one, so far he’s on patrol with Bruce and living his best reckless life. In version one anyways. Version two has him already caught and he is a significantly grumpier teen lmao we’ll see which version wins out

Probably Tim or Janet I’m very partial to them, though Bart definitely appears as my art blorbo he’s everywhere in my sketchbooks so I suppose the three of them. I’m not very good at narrowing things down

Ooooo. You know considering how often I think about him this question should probably be far easier but alas. He’s a total mama’s boy, but that’s basically canon, so I won’t count that. I think he ate crayons as a kid, but that’s not a favourite headcanon. I like to imagine him as an animal lover, because I genuinely can’t really imagine someone not like that, so I suppose that would be my favourite, bc it’s the trait I always give him even if I never say it

Tim definitely I never stop thinking about him which makes the whole process very streamlined

It varies so widely, some chapters get done in a matter of hours meanwhile I’m on like two weeks for this one lmao
🤯 What's a genre you struggle with as a writer (ex. romance, action, etc.)?
I mean before I would have said romance but I actually think I’m doing pretty well at it, so maybe action honestly? My strength is definitely slice of life and fluff so sometimes I feel like my action can feel a bit off pace yknow

I love how this song 'concludes' the unforgiven storyline, I think it has a great melody and I love the lyrics touching the matter of self-forgiving

Not only do I like the vibes of the melody, but the whole theme of wondering how much we are depending/putting ourselves into technology, if it's (or not) helping, and how far it will go always attract me, no matter the media type 😂
