Summary: even in death, Eddie’s with you.
Warnings: 18+ please. Description of injuries, description of dead body, ghosts exist, for some reason turns into a lesson, pretty much ignores 3/5 characters of the characters mentioned, not proofread in the slightest.
A/N: IM SORRY 😭🏃♀️
Finding Eddie's body wasn't an easy task. The first thing the group seems to notice is the smell (though, Eddie can't smell anything). Despite all the other terrible smells The Upside Down can produce, the smell is so overwhelming it causes Steve to vomit even after covering his nose and mouth as best he could.
It wasn't long before they finally found him, though. Dustin was the first to notice, then Steve, then Nancy and Robin. Dustin and Steve give the girls a look before their eyes darting to you. The girls seemed to understand what they meant because their next move was to stop you from walking any further.
The smell was traumatizing enough, they didn't think it necessary to expose you to your boyfriend's body too. "Move, Nance," were your first words.
"It's-"
"I know, Robin. I wanna see." Against their better judgement, the girls move, watching you pass. "I need to see."
He was clearly bit, his torso painted with blood. The bats didn't stop until they seemed fit, and it showed. His colorless eyes faced the sky as he lay still. Unmoving.
But Eddie could see you, even if you couldn't see him. He knew you were there, he could see the tears running down your face. He knew you were hurt, and yet he couldn't help. The first time in nearly a year that he wasn't there to help you through your pain.
Robin wipes your tears. "Hey," she says. "It's alright. You'll be alright, you know?"
Steve is reassuring Dustin in the same manner. The most genuine emotion you'd seen from the man in months. You can hear Dustin sobbing silently, trying to shield his tears from the others.
You smile at Robin and Nancy, pushing past them both to go to the boy. He looks away upon meeting your eyes. Steve looks to you in confusion as Dustin quickly wipes his tears.
"I'm sorry," Dustin blurts out. "I know you were closer to him than any of us, i shouldn't really be crying."
"It's okay to cry, Dustin." you sniffle, a small laugh leaving your lips. "Your feelings are just as valid as mine."
Eddie moves over to you, unable to explain how calm he is in such a moment. He reaches a hand out to touch your shoulder, and to his surprise, it rests comfortably on you. He watches as tears begin to fill your eyes again, and as you grab Dustin's hand, the same happens to him.
Maybe even in death, Eddie can watch you grow old. And it wasn't long before the realization hit him that you'd be doing it without him.

you know it really annoys me that jared never paid any consequences for michaela being shot ugh yeah zeke had the gun but if jared hadn't of been a jealous, obsessive and possessive pos the shooting wouldn't of happened!! he didn't respect michaela or listen to her yet their shippers think their a better ship please lol zeke has always respected michaela and did everything to protect her, he even turned himself in for the shooting even though it wasn't all his fault!! zeke and michaela have ALWAYS put each other first and respected each other and always chose each other which is why I always knew they were endgame!!

AOT S4 SECOND HALF SPOILERS‼️‼️‼️
At the end of the episode, about around the last 20 secs, we see the tree that Eren’s head was buried at very overgrown as time passed and civilization ended again.
It gave me chills how we saw it come first circle which leaves the question.. was there other founders before The Founder Ymir? Is there water like how there was when Ymir fell into?
And is Erens spine/ spinal fluid somehow in this hypothetical water making this mystery boy the new founder?
And to think more generally, does the human civilization on earth keep resetting after the rise and fall of titans and founders? Or maybe I’m overthinking it and Ymir was literally the first founder..right???
Sorry for so many questions, I’ve just been keeping them in since I finished the episode and started going crazy when I saw no one was talking abt it…
(it’s my bday btw and i’m procrastinating my hw..🥲)

i don't like season three when viewing it as a continuation of seasons one and two, but i do very much like season three when viewing it as the prequel to seasons four and five... hmmmmm.
#rewatching it bc i wanted to make another foreshadowing compilation post for myself regarding what will's actions will#likely be in season five re: vecna and lmao. so many things are just... it's like. it makes me laugh how In Your Face it is now#that we know all that we know. so many direct parallels both with dialogue and actions. mike/will/lucas/el foreshadowing their s4 roles.#the flaying of the holloways and the creels. the dormancy / activation shit. the building shit. the natural progression of their arcs.#the different ways that their characters approach problem solving and how we see tht reinforced by s4. it's so fascinating#genuinely i think idk it was just such a big culture shock i guess u could say from 1 and 2 that it was hard to digest on its own for me#but now that 4 is in the same vein it's like Oh. Okay. Yeah no. I get it now. That's cool. I'm forever bitter but I get it and respect it.#3 4 and 5 are a package deal considering they also said 4 was like part 1 of 5.#it also makes sense bc the point of 3 was that everyone was changing and building themselves in a new way and that#includes vecna so. just so fascinating how they link everything and how their vision is so consistent with certain plots and characters#like. the lucas max mike n will + el involvement is right there. the idea that they have to kill vecna and not just his puppets is right#there. that 2nd point starts in season two but three is where it really turns into an ''the end justifies the means'' situation#(especially for will which i think is something a lot of people overlook but—)#s3 is painful when considering their personal character arcs but fucking delicious when considering the overarching supernatural vecna plot#bc thts also when he starts his ''there is no stopping this'' shtick and actually enters the story#and he's fucking slimy lol. which i Love#anyway. omg first i defended mike in the rain fight and now i'm saying i kind of like season three who the FUCK am i!!!!!#crazy what feeling the need to defend a white boy's honor will do to you 😳
