I hope whatever hardships your going through get better and that you remember you are loved, you are important, you are lovely!

since you asked for tips- maybe try thinking of your time not as chilling but as recovery. that's an active process you're participating in. you are doing something. you're resting and getting better. that can only happen if you allow yourself time to heal. you wouldn't try to run on a broken leg, right? the symptoms may not be as tangible as a broken bone but they're no less serious. when I had an injury and went from working out 6 days a week to being bedridden I was losing my mind until I started doing puzzles / listening to audiobooks. it's stupid easy to say but still- I recommend finding something that engages you at the activity level that matches your recovery progress. please don't try to push through to get better quicker. covid doesn't work like that. hope your healing journey is only minorly irritating and without complications

can i say you are the most actual darling from heaven and thank you SO MUCH for this. that's such a fabulous viewpoint and shift of perspective which ought to be simple but really isn't, so i greatly appreciate you taking the time to write all of this out and share it.. particularly the parts about running with broken bones, and activity levels that match your recovery progress - you are so wise. i struggle with feeling like i'm doing nothing when in actuality you're right and it's an actionable choice in and of itself.

btw anon i hope your injury is being kind to you and likewise it's lovely to know you are treating yourself with kindness in return. i really REALLY needed to hear this, bless you forever
