Steve invited Eddie to hang with him. Of course, Keith called as soon as Eddie arrived.
Steve: *hanging up the phone* Goddamnit! Keith needs me to cover his shift for a couple of hours, and he brought up Spring Break. Are you going to be okay here?
Eddie: Yeah, man, go.
Steve: Just make yourself at home.
2 HOURS LATER . . .
Steve: Eddie?! Why the hell are there boxes everywhere?!
Eddie: *hollering down the stairs* You said to make myself at home!
Steve: So, you moved in?! *running up the stairs* Into MY room?
Eddie: *Grinning* OUR room.
Steve: *hands on his hips* I have to say this is a really weird move.
Eddie: Robin said that if I was serious about you that I had to make a really big gesture.
Steve laughed and launched himself at Eddie.
Steve: I think you might have overdone it, Teddy. *kissed his nose* But I love it. . .roomie.
Suddenly, a pair of footsteps pounded up the stairs.
Wayne: Boy! Did I just hear correctly that Steve had no clue you were moving in?!
Eddie: Oops.

“A rose upon you”
Rook x g/n reader, fluff
A/N: damn this is finished earlier than I thought it’s be finished. I did struggle to write his dialogue so I apologize if it’s ooc
edited but not beta read
The first day, it was a red rose that smells vaguely of apples. Then it was a box of your favourite chocolates. The rose had a velvety garnet bow with gold trim around the edges. In gold embroidery was the initial "R.H." Seriously, who is this admirer of yours? You sat on the couch in Ramshackle’s lounge, holding the two items in your hands. Oh, Ace was there too. Your flaming tuna cat and Deuce were out buying snacks at Sam’s.
"Oooh,” Ace cooed at you in a teasing manner, almost like when in elementary school a boy and a girl get called to the board together, or even in the same group, for that matter.
“Shut up.” You elbowed Ace in the ribcage, not hard enough to hurt him, but hard enough for him to get the message at least. You looked closely at the ribbon around the rose, softly tracing your finger over the embroidered initials. Ugh. Everything this person did made your heart race. You weren’t even sure you could think straight.
“Yo, look.” Ace pointed out the embroidered initials. "Obviously, that could be Rook Hunt…..he’s the only one crazy enough to do this anyway.”
Rook Hunt….? The vice of Pomefiore. You will admit the two of you have gotten oddly close as of recently. He’d always try to help you with your work and would suggest you two go to the oddest places together. Such as the woods. At 3am. Why????
“I’m gonna go on a….walk?” You tell Ace and get off the couch and put on your fuzzy jacket and boots. You all but gently open the door. The icy winter air blasts on your face as you step out, snow crunching under your boot.
You don’t have to trek out much further until you hear someone call out “mon trickster” from the bushes. At this point, you’re not going to question why he was in your bushes in the first place.
“Were you the one behind... well, all this?" You ask bluntly, approaching him with the rose in hand. He steps out to hold the rose in his hand, gazing at the ribbon.
“Of course it was me. I thought you needn’t have to put much thought into it!!” He says all dramatically. “-Name- do you accept my confession of love??”
Your name instead of a nickname in French?! Does that mean he’s more serious than you originally thought? You take a moment to think about it. After all that happened in Styx, the Pomefiore vice was with you every step of the way. He always made sure to check on you to make sure you’re okay, both physically and mentally. Sometimes it’d be by tapping on your window at 3 a.m., but that was his way of showing affection. “I do.” You say when you finally come to an agreement with yourself.
“Magnifique!” He grabs your hand abruptly, causing your heart to skip a beat. “I have so much for you to witness.” He pulls you off into the nearby forest, presumably to read you some poetry. The snow-capped trees looked a lot more inviting with him by your side. Forever and always.

Could he really?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Are you really, really sure Pharma could have just run away or asked to be transferred?
Is it really that easy to stand up to the DJD?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's almost as if Delphi being on the same planet as the DJD's base (something that was common knowledge and that Prowl didn't care about when stationing Pharma and an ex-Decepticon ward manager right next to them) means that there was no escape from the DJD.
It's almost as if isolating victims and keeping them from calling them for help is explicitly part of the DJD's modus operandi.
It's almost as if psychological warfare is just as much of a weapon in Tarn's hands as physical torture/killing is.
It's almost as if being a victim of the DJD is considered a fate worse than death.
Kind of weird how it is that in the same issue that the DJD are established as a terrifying threat, the same issue where Drift is compassionately asked if he's scared of being so close to the DJD, is the same issue where Pharma gets framed as a selfish madman for doing what he thought he had to to survive.
Dying of the Light came about 30 issues too late to vindicate Pharma and make it understandable why he did what he did. But even so, it's still really annoying how Pharma is the one and only victim of the DJD who gets called selfish and cowardly for doing what he thought was his only option to escape blackmail or death.
No one on the Lost Light, much less Ratchet himself, had any problem with considering Drift to be "on their side" even after millions of years as a member of the mass murdering Decepticons. And Ratchet had plenty of compassion to spare for Drift to ask him if he was scared of the DJD. Absolutely no sympathy to be had for Pharma, though; he's just a terrible doctor and Autobot who deserved everything that came to him. Murdering patients was just because he was an organ harvester working for the DJD, not because everyone at Delphi (including an ex-Decepticon who would be on the DJD's list) and himself was under threat of death by horrific torture.
Honestly I don't even think the unfortunate implications/unfairness were intended, at this point I just think that Pharma was simply intended to be a "mad doctor" character trope + token evil villain Autobot to add variety to the rogues gallery so like. The fact that the characters treat him like shit was just meant to be a narrative signal "look how much this guy sucks and is just so evil not even the good guy Autobots like him."

If Only They Knew
18+ MINORS DNI
Summary: Steve flirts with Eddie in Scoops Ahoy with his ice cream when he realized that Eddie was watching him. . . Other things occur. I couldn't help but write this.
Steve was sitting out in the parlor this time to enjoy his ice cream. It was Sunday, so there weren't any other people in here. He was enjoying the quiet in the brightly colored store, and the fact that there wasn't anyone around to watch him eat. He was always a messy eater when it came to ice cream, and he hated it when people watched him eat it.
Steve was about to take another bite when he felt someone watching him. He looked up to find Eddie Munson watching him curiously, his own ice cream cone in his hand. Steve narrowed his eyes at Eddie. Maybe he'd stop watching if he made it sexual. That always made people look away. Steve kept eye contact with Eddie's big brown eyes as he slowly took a lick of his ice cream, moaning loudly as he did so. He took his tongue and slowly dragged it over lips, keeping up the eye contact as he did so. Eddie's were wide, and his mouth fell open, but he didn't look away. Seriously? Why wasn't he looking away?
A bit of the ice cream dripped on his finger, and Steve scowled. He lifted the finger to his mouth and put the whole digit in his mouth. He began to suck on his finger and looked back at Eddie to find that his beautiful brown eyes had grown dark. Oh, shit, was this turning him on? Steve grew warm at the thought, and he felt a twitch in his pants. Okay, Steve was turned on by this, too. Fuck seriously? The image of Steve taking Eddie behind the mall and pressing him up against the wall as Steve sank to his knees. . . Shit, Steve was beginning to get hard. He moaned loudly, his mouth still wrapped around his finger. He pulled off with a loud pop, trying not to imagine it as Eddie's dick. Eddie's eyes were even darker, and it was downright predatory. Eddie's ice cream was long forgotten. It was now leaning off to the side, the ice cream seconds away from falling off the cone.
Steve put his finger near his mouth, this time raising a second finger. He started to lick the tips of his fingers as he looked at Eddie. He swirled his tongue around his finger for a while, continuing to make moaning noises. The ice cream fell off of Eddie's cone with a splat, but Eddie ignored it. Steve’s eyes went wide as he watched Eddie's hand go under the table. He was as hard as Steve. Eddie cupped himself through his jeans and started moving his hips as he rocked against his hand. Steve slowly sank his mouth down over his fingers until they were completely in his mouth. He started bobbing his head up and down, his eyes fluttering as he completely imagined his mouth around Eddie's dick. He hollowed his cheeks as he sucked hard. The arousal was building and building and building. . . Until he came. . .right in his pants. It wasn't long before Eddie did the same thing, his eyes closed with relief.
"MUNSON!" Robin's voice startled Steve out of his revere. "You made a mess all over the place!"
Steve was just as panicked as Eddie was until Steve realized that Robin was talking about Eddie's ice cream. He almost laughed until he realized that he was sitting in his own mess, and he just came in his pants at work. Fuck. He quickly dumped his own ice cream on his pants and cursed loudly.
"Goddamnit! I spilled ice cream on my shorts!" Steve said loudly.
"You started an outbreak!" Robin told Eddie.
"It's just on me!" Steve sighed. "I got an extra uniform in the back."
Although, he was going to have to go without underwear. As he was walking to the breakroom, he briefly saw Eddie smirking at him, and he wondered if Eddie was thinking the same thing. He quickly grabbed his second uniform and hurried to the employee restroom. When he came back out, Eddie was gone. He tried not to think about what had just happened for the rest of the day, but it was difficult around midday when everyone was coming out of church. He grinned delightfully at the thought of the sin he and Eddie committed right here in the parlor. It was even better when a couple of middle-aged women came in complaining about homosexuals. With a grin, he told them the best seat in the house was exactly where Steve had been sitting moments ago. When they were looking where he was pointing, he spat in their ice cream before handing it to them. He nearly giggled when they sat exactly where he told them to.
"I saw that," Robin said.
"Saw what?" Steve asked innocently.
"I don't know why you did that, but I'm just going to say thank you and get back to work," Robin said.
Oh, if only she knew. Steve glanced at the middle age women and smirked. If only they knew.

sits up in bed. so lana and ema definitely thought they were responsible for edgeworth "choosing death", right?
(the rest of this post was supposed to go in the tags, because it's not very well organised or written, but it got too long so. here are the slightly edited tags for your reading pleasure (or otherwise)):
i was going to make this solely about ema because she's the obvious one with her open adoration of edgeworth, but the thing about rfta is that it goes to great lengths to emphasise the connection between lana and edgeworth as well.
the sl-9 incident showed that lana grows attached to people deeply, hence angel starr's comment on how, when neil marshall died, 'she (lana) felt like her own brother had died.' with edgeworth, i think it was similar but worse. because he's not just a coworker or subordinate who's dear to her. he saved her life. and it cost him his own.
at the beginning of the case, edgeworth says he was mistaken for thinking that lana was always looking out for him post sl-9 (a statement interesting on its own because that's when everyone else says she grew distant), and, later on, he brings ema fingerprinting powder because lana asked him to. then, of course, there's the 'lady luck' comment he makes.
similarly, on lana's side, you obviously have the end of the trial when she says he did well, but there's also that additional moment post-trial where she's the only one to notice — in a group comprising her, ema, phoenix and gumshoe — that he's 'hiding', listening to their conversation. point is, there's enough to suggest that she might have been the nearest thing edgeworth had to a mia; his 'chief prosecutor' to phoenix's plain 'chief'. they're as close as two people can be in a relationship where one of them is constantly lying and the other is von karma's star pupil.
rfta is pretty straightforwardly depicted as the case which solidified edgeworth's resolve to do what he did; i don't think i have to prove that. rumours about him have reached new heights, his car and knife were involved in goodman's murder, he makes an unprecedented mistake in court by failing to connect the evidence room and carpark incidents, thus forcing the chief of police to enter the trial to do so himself, and he's publicly revealed to have relied on falsified evidence to secure a conviction in the sl-9 case, all of which only happened because of lana. jake marshall even claims that from the beginning — that if you trace edgeworth's rumours back to their source, you end up meeting one person: lana skye.
and it gets worse because at the end of rfta, she thinks he's fine!! she literally says, 'i was afraid the pressure would break you, but you rose above it,' and reminds him he's nothing like gant because he's not alone. she leaves the case thinking he will be okay. and then, what, like a week passes, and she finds out that he wasn't, and that he's gone, and it's her fault. even after she was freed from gant's control, even after she had finally stopped lying, she couldn't prevent herself from claiming another life. so much for 'lady luck', i suppose.
and the game reiterates this multiple times. gumshoe states at the start that edgeworth's ties to those higher up in the department have made him the subject of constant rumours, and phoenix says (in front of ema) that he shouldn't be held responsible for the forged evidence because that was all lana's doing, which then leads to edgeworth commenting (again in front of ema) that he feels as though 'something inside him has died.' it all goes back to lana. we can argue and say that it was technically gant's doing that caused all of this, but lana still took actions that led to it. even her complicated friendship with edgeworth isn't spared; it's that closeness between them that exacerbated those rumours. how could she not feel responsible in some way?
and with ema, it's rather obvious, isn't it? if she hadn't gone poking her nose into things, none of this would have happened or come to light. and, of course, she'd never choose anyone over her sister, not for anything in the world — it's simply not a question, but that's the problem, isn't it? it's not a question. it's not some hypothetical moral dilemma. it just is. she may not have killed neil marshall, but she still has one king of prosecutor's blood on her hands. and now she has to live with that. she just. has. to live with it. no matter if he chose otherwise.
moving on from that a little, i think it's actually wild how much of ema's journey to becoming a forensics investigator is paved with bad memories. neil marshall's death and her subsequent inability to testify are what drives her to begin pursuing it, her first proper investigation results in her idol's "death" and when she finally graduates, the person who saved her sister has been disbarred, and she can't even help because she isn't allowed to. all that pain and constant pursuit of her goals, and she's still the same ema skye, still that girl shrouded in darkness, always one step behind the truth, one step a little too late. no wonder she was angry in aa:aj. i would be furious.
#and then like a year later they find out edgeworth's fine and if that happened to me i think i would kill him fr#WKSHDKAHDKS#lana skye#ema skye#miles edgeworth#the skye sisters' relationship with one dramatic depressed prosecutor is something that can be so personal...#ive literally never thought this much about lana or ema ever. they never occupy my thoughts but somehow.#everyone else: man edgeworth's vanishing must have had a real impact on franziska and phoenix. me: what about these 2 side characters who#technically only appeared once in the whole trilogy. in a dlc. what about them.#it's actually so interesting how much lana is set up to be important to edgeworth. phoenix even says she reminds him of mia and when i#first read that i was like ??? bc of the scarf? there's more to mia than a scard phoenix. but then you pay attention to how she interacts#with edgeworth and it's like oh. i see it now. and then she disappears forever.#mind you i dont think she or ema were like. destroyed by the news of edgeworth's supposed passing. not in the way phoenix was anyway.#for better or worse both lana and ema are shown to have a tight hold over themselves emotionally speaking. lana keeps a lid on them for#years and ema is told she might have killed neil by accident and is functional after a brief faint and recess. like those women are strong.#but i do think it would have had a deep impact regardless of how well they were able to cope. like i've said i dont see how it wouldnt.#anyway this concludes my rfta moment. time to go back to being unable to say a thing about susato-san even though she occupies my every#waking moment. if you read all this ily <3#it's also past midnight so if this is all a bit everywhere im sorry
