He likes to make jokes here and there.

Might watch you struggle a bit to get a good laugh, but ends up helping you.

Does he change anything in his home to accommodate you?

Nah. He doesn't.

He doesn't like changing too many things around, plus you know him and his obsession with laughing.

Be aware that if someone else cracks jokes about you being short, he's going to laugh.

Undertaker eventually apologizes and tells you that the only reason why some people might make fun of you is because they're jealous.

They're jealous that they don't fit perfectly in his arms the way you do and that he can easily kiss you when he's sitting while you're standing.

If someone does take their teasing too far, he won't be laughing anymore.

And you know that isn't a good thing.

~William~

Doesn't think much of it.

Honestly forgets about yours and his height difference.

So when you're over his place, everything is set to his level.

William does eventually remember to put certain things at a more convenient placement.

He's a serious man so he wouldn't be making any jokes about you being short.

But will poke a person with his shears if they offend you.

Treats you like an equal, but again, forgets that there are certain things you need help with.

Like that time when he asked you to grab the tea from one of the cabinets and of course it happens to be at the highest point.

When he comes to check what was taking a while, he sees you attempting to dangerously climb on a chair to reach the tea.

Yeah, he wasn't going to let that happen again.

Also, when you're both cuddling, he secretly likes when you embrace him from behind. He's not sure why, but it feels comforting for him.

~Lau~

Short people problems? What are those?

Lau made sure to make everything convenient to you.

He's had people readjust cabinets and shelves in yours and his home.

Even if something was out of reach, there was always someone nearby to help you. Lau's told you multiple times to use them so you didn't have to trouble yourself.

If you're both out in town, he has his assistants following you and him with the purpose of aiding you.

Lau tells you constantly to hold onto him whenever you're out together.

Feels that people might take advantage of your height.

But he'd never allow it.

Most of the time, you think WILLIAM works far too hard. He seems to not even drop his guard or air of professionalism even while he’s at home with you.

It’s normal for you to have dinner ready or nearly by the time he walks through the door, but tonight, you’ve only just started it when he comes in. You turn to apologize for not having it ready, except the words don’t make it out of your mouth.

“Would you like some help, dear?” he asks as he takes his suit jacket off. It’s quickly hung up, and he greets you with a kiss on the cheek. Rather than wait for you to answer, he rolls up his sleeves so he can start working. Even after a long day, the man is ready and willing to chop some vegetables.

You smile, leaning to return the kiss. “Thanks, love. You’re so sweet. With the both of us at it, hopefully it will go a little faster.”

After a moment in companionable silence, you speak up. “So, how was your day?”

He leans over to add the vegetables to the pot you have on the fire. “It was about the same as always. Sutcliff was trouble.”

“As always,” you tease, though you notice his mouth quirk up slightly. “You always work such long hours, though. I bet you’re happy to be home.”

A soft sigh leaves him. “… As always.” He pauses to look at the now empty space in front of him, then back toward you. “Ah. What are we making, again?”

You laugh and push toward him to give him another kiss. Honestly, you can never get enough of being near him, especially after you haven’t seen him for so long during the day. To your delight, he readily lets you nestle into him. “Nothing too complicated. Some chicken and vegetables simmered together.”

He raises an eyebrow, and gently slips his arms around your waist. “Then I suppose we’d better get the chicken started. The vegetables will be overcooked before the chicken is done otherwise.”

“Oh, the onions and peppers take a while to cook down. We have time.” More importantly, you’ve got William acting like putty in your hands at the moment. He never relaxes like this. You can feel the tension draining out of his muscles bit by bit, so you’re certainly not going to stop now. “We’ll get it going soon. Right now, I feel like you should just kiss me more.”

“Mh. Is that how you feel?”

“It is,” you hum, leaning your head back against his throat.

He leans down and presses a soft kiss to your lips. At this rate, all the stress will be bled out of him before you even get the chicken in the pan.

“Well. Far be it from me to simply brush off your feelings. Come here, let me indulge you.”

Personals Headcanons for the Shinigami in Kuroshitsuji

(Just, an old friend told me that put a “ s “ to the word “ shinigami “ was incorrect)

Headcanons Society Dispatch shinigami

>>A shinigami don’t immediately work. When a soul become a shinigami, she is sent in a “Accompanying House”. It’s an isolated, big propriety where “babies” shinigami live their first days. The shinigami learn them to read and write sometime, help them with the “futuristic” objects who are out of time, and alson help the shinigami to accept their punishment and don’t commit a second suicid. Sometime, the shinigami think that this place is the paradise and don’t want leave him, it’s the paradoxe of this place.

>> The medecine department exist for the shinigami who get hurt after a mission. But, he's mainly knew for his psychatric wing, her asylum for unstable shinigami, her office drugs controle and suicid cell.

It's a tutor stronger and intimidating that Grell who have successes to change the shinigami for to will become more “cooperative” with his job Grell loves the dogs (it’s why he loves Sebastian) but prefer the Siberian Husky because they are fluffs and sweet. After to read a fanfiction on the subject, i think that Grell take cocaine and opium. Grell didn’t wanted to train Ronald, but after, it was fun to him to create a Playboy. Grell suicided with a shaver.

>> William T. Spears He takes drugs for to work more but nobody knows this (except Grell who keep the secret) William is unstable for the shinigami officers. He failed her last psychotic test. He doesn’t know that her place of leader of department will take end soon and that he will be replaced by another shinigami. William did much erotic dream and had some phantasms during her job, but prefer to keep this in his spirit and far away of Grell. William doesn’t like Grell, but if Grell would disappear, he would lose her mental balance in some seconds. William loves the cats, as Sebastian.

>> Ronald Knox In his human life, Ronald was the son of a baron. Her father dead, he lived with her mother. Ronald was a rich who live with recklessness. So, a day, he frequented bad persons, and he accidentally killed her mother. Because he had killed the first woman who a man should respect, he considered that he don't deserved to live and put the gun in his mouth. Ronald didn’t like her punishment and preferred the Hell. He was unstable and the shinigami officers wanted to close him in the basement. Well, a tutor learned him to live her situation and Ronald success his exams before that Grell train him then. Ronald is a « Black Dog », a nickname for the shinigami « who obey to another master that the Superiors » He don’t know that his watch hide a secret Ronald is afraid by Othello since a medical joke when he was young.

>> Othello He looks porn « for the science » He did a medical joke, with a syringe, because Ronald break something in her laboratory. He created drugs during a moment for to grow her salary. He stole a book on the futures electronics invention, notably with the big chapter on the video games He loves the science since his old life, because he could no longer to walk outside after accident where he lost her legs.

>> Rudgar The train killed him. He broke her scythe during his first work day and nobody knows how he could to do. He was an excellent hunter in her old life. He’s a « Black Dog » like Ronald. His hair never saw a hairbrush.

>> Sascha He was considered as mad because of an unknown mental sickness, so, he lived in an asylum during a mainly part a life. He's hanged in her cell. Sascha is a hermaphrodite and the 6th case of shinigami hermaphroditism. He tokes drugs for to work more longer. The situation finished in a psychiatric cell with four months of recuperation.

>> Éric Slingby He suicided after the defeat and the dead of his Scotland clan. He’s not dead (because the fanfiction exist) and he works with the young recruits but don’t know if Alan is alive too. He shared in the same bedroom of William when they were young recruits. >> Alan Humphries He’s not dead (see the precedent note) and work for the personnel department, a closed department who only communicate by pigeons or letters. He has scars of thorn of death and don’t know the situation of Éric.

>> Lawrence Anderson He’s one of first shinigami and works on the glasses since the beginning of the Dispatch.

>> Others shinigami I called Ignatus, Michael and Jonathan these three shinigami

O.C >> Jack Sutcliff It’s the twin of Grell, birth five minutes after him. (OKAY ! It’s my reaction to twin Ciels !!) He has been separate of Grell in his birth and suicided one month after him. He works in the German Dispatch for that there are not « Two Grell in the same place » and is the tutor of Rudgar. He loves to seduce the women and the opera. His hair is red and long but attached. His teeth are same as brother but her fang are more long. Her overcoat are long and black but red inside. Grell named « Jack the Ripper » in reference for this brother and sent him a photo of Madame Red. Jack is fell of love of her but was completly broken when Grell tell him that he killed her. Since this day, Jack don’t speak to Grell. He has deserted some weeks later (with her scythe and her glasses). Grell don’t know where he hides him and if he’s always in life.

>> Baskerville : He’s a black dog of emotionnal support. Grell had him a little before the War I. He’s a crossbreed between two races of sled dogs.

>> Crimson : A black cat of emotionnal support of William. He hates the demon as his master and he’s cold as him, but loves to sleep on her works papers.

O.C.C >> Ada Because since her creation in the manga, I imagine her to become a shinigami a day. Ronald is the only person that she remembers. So, Ronald will be his instructor. If her first objectify was to take Ada in his bed, she became like a sister for him as he became a brother for her.

~Undertaker~

He laughs.

Laughs a lot until you get mad at him and attempt to walk away.

He grabs you before you can leave and attempts to apologize, but you don't seem convinced.

Undertaker doesn't truly believe you fell for someone like him.

People tended to stay away from him because ...well...he deals with the dead! (It is his occupation, plus he's a shinigami)

Once he sees how serious you are, he grins, pulling you close by your waist and holding up one of your hands as he starts to sway you into a slow waltz.

Despite his long, silver bangs covering his eyes, there's a hint of happiness swirling in his green orbs. He feels somewhat alive again. You're bringing color to his dark, melancholy life.

Undertaker does warn you that his love for you will last even after death. There is no 'till death do us part'.

Again, he's a shinigami, so he'll make sure that you two stay together.

~William~

Hate to say it, but he doesn't accept your confession at first.

Feels as if it would interfere with his work. Believes love and business don't mix together.

Eventually changes his mind. He misses you so, so much. He misses how close you two used to be.

Even Grell comments about how stupid he is (which William couldn't help but poke him with his shears).

Grell only knew what was going on between the two of you through you after pestering noticing William's change in behavior.

Takes William a while to apologize, but he's determined to put his pride to the side because being without you is worse than working overtime and he HATES working past his shift.

Feels really silly about how he didn't think about balancing you and his work life. Not saying he enjoys work, but he is dedicated to it so why can't he be dedicated to both?

Probably a bit more dedicated to you now, but still.

Although he is a bit aloof, he shows his love in his own way. Makes sure that you get enough rest for your job, eat enough for the day, staying hydrated, making dinner when he knows you've had a long shift, or actually takes off on important days/days that you are unwell or when he just wants to spend time with you.

~Lau~

Lau pretends to be surprised when you accidentally confess to him, but admits that he's known for a while.

He knows a lot of people and people talk.

But he's also observant despite him acting oblivious most of the time. He did notice that you were a bit more fidgety around him.

After you confess, he's ecstatic, but a bit afraid. He has a lot of enemies and is concerned about them trying to use you against him.

But that's when he triples his security, especially when he couldn't be around you.

Lau not being around you is somewhat rare. He wants to bring you with him everywhere, especially to his birth country!

He's considered high class in China (and in England) because of his occupation plus his ties with the Qing Bang. He's going to make sure you're treated extra special.

You're with him now, so he'll be taking care of you.

but I love Will with a demon S/O so I'd enjoy getting to do more in the future!

Foul creature, no matter what form they decide to take. A demon is a demon is a demon, as far as he’s concerned, and any being who would eat his quota is an annoying pest to him at best, and a dangerous threat at worst. He has a very poor opinion of (Name) when things start out simply based on them being a demon. Although he doesn’t take physical action in the early days unless he has to, he makes it quite clear what he thinks of them.

They’re tricky, a clever fox living up to the stereotype, so he’s not surprised that he keeps running into them whilst collecting souls. Even if he doesn’t come face to face with them himself, it’s almost a guarantee that one of his underlings does. Is this demon stalking him? They act as if they have some personal vendetta against William in particular. He wouldn’t put it past someone like them, and the next time he sees them personally, he tells them in no uncertain terms that they should keep their distance from him if they know what’s good for them.

Of course, a demon doesn’t really know what’s good for them, do they? About the time he looks out his window while doing paperwork to find (Name) perched on the fence and peering curiously in is when he acknowledges that he’s not getting rid of them so easily. He goes out to talk to them during a break, asking what they want… and it turns out all they want is to get to know him. Hm. Unprecedented.

That doesn’t mean they get free reign over his life. They’re still a demon, so technically they are still in competition for souls. William needs to get those souls in order, where they need to go, and (Name) disrupts the natural process of things by stealing them to eat. Just like all demons do. He’s cautious around them, even though he might answer some questions about his personal life; favorite color, favorite food, etc., nothing too terribly deep.

His views begin to shift a bit when (Name) catches a soul in the midst of William trying to reap it… and then simply hands it over to him. No extortion for him to get it, no deals or contracts to get them to hand it over, not even that much taunting. A small smirk and some kind eyes as they hold it out. To him, the meaning is clear: they never intended to take a soul away from him. Perhaps from other Reapers, maybe in other branches, but they don’t want to jeopardize his job or deliberately make things hard for him. It’s a selfless act, with the result being that (Name) doesn’t get to eat that afternoon. After that, he starts to look at them differently. Less as an infernal creature who exists only to complicate his life, and more like a… person. Someone he wants to get to know. They wouldn’t do such a thing for anyone else, would they?

It’s strange, to make friends with and develop feelings for a being which preys upon the thing your job necessitates you to put in the universe’s filing cabinet. Other demons don’t get the courtesy that William affords to (Name) by allowing them to eat. While he doesn’t permit them to eat in or around London, it’s not a great feat for a demon to travel across the country and be back within some short hours. He isn’t going to go after them for… patronizing another restaurant, so to speak. As long as they’re several hundred kilometers away from where he works, that isn’t his jurisdiction, so he won’t chase them down.

He’s not sure what (Name) thinks of the whole thing. He swears he can taste the viscera of a soul when he kisses them, and it shocks him that he finds he isn’t as bothered by it as he thought he might be. It’s coming from them, and soon enough it becomes apparent that they care about him. They try for him, which is more than most people do. Despite their relationship not being perfect… for some reason, he’s glad the found their crafty little way into his life.

The first time you met Undertaker, you had met William in the human world whilst he was on a reaping trip. You had watched from the shadows, hardly able to keep a straight face as your stoic half-brother produced a business card and handed it over to a demon, begrudgingly bowing as he did so. The demon discarded it immediately and you made your presence known as William stepped back, right on the head of a red-headed colleague. As the other reaper started muttering about how terrible having to apologise to a demon was, you simply couldn’t keep your laughter in check any longer. You staggered forward, striking green eyes lined with tears as you clapped a hand on your brother’s arm, ignoring the dirty side glance he gave you. However, you did notice the briefest glint of surprise cross the demon’s features when the other reaper made no move to step away from you. Given that you also had no desire to talk to him, you left soon after William did, only to run straight into a horse and carriage.

As soon as the driver jumped down to stand tall in front of you, you knew immediately he was a reaper. You told him as much, albeit quietly, lest anyone was around. He let out a cackle followed by a wicked grin.

“Usually takes ‘em longer than that,” he started, voice gradually dropping in timbre and loosing the slightly raspy, lilting tone it had originally. “Who might you be then, hm?” You gave him your name and he returned the favour, pointing out he was aware that you too were a reaper. That sparked a long conversation, during which you accompanied Undertaker to his finally destination, which turned out to be where you had just come from. The body of the woman in red needed to be collected, her soul having already been taken. Evidently, Undertaker knew everything that had come to pass - how exactly, you weren’t sure - and from the moment you cracked a joke at William’s expense and had both collapsed in laughter, you just seemed to get on really well.

Given the family relation, you often saw William when he was on business in the human world where you resided and you also spent more and more time with Undertaker, making run-ins with the demon butler and his earl annoyingly frequent. You ribbed Ciel endlessly over his height, joining the mortician in turning everything into a joke and insisting on being present for Undertaker’s ‘payments’, laughing just as quickly and almost as much as he did. You started being seen together so often that the mortician’s regulars would ask what had happened if you weren’t there.

Something else you quickly picked up from Undertaker was the art of terrifying people half to death. The other reaper had done it to you every time you went to his parlour in the beginning, and whilst you couldn’t prevent yourself from screaming whenever he did, no matter how much you came to expect it, it certainly didn’t stop you from pranking him in return. You copied his habit of hiding in coffins, jumping out whenever he entered the room and receiving a decent black eye the first time when his reflexes kicked in and he lashed out by accident, thinking you were an intruder. However, deterred you were not, and a full out prank war escalated from then on.

Replacing sugar with salt and swapping normal pepper for cayenne was only the beginning. More elaborate designs included buckets of flour and treacle, containers of variously dyed water replacing ink pots and sticking false covers onto the books lining the shop walls and then mixing up their order as well. The last one took you eons, but it was worth it to hear Undertaker’s confused muttering from the next room when he went to get a book for the earl to help him solve London’s latest string of murders only to arrive with a recipe collection detailing the pros and cons of frying in oil. You also stuck googly eyes on all of the items currently in your fridge at the time and one of his funniest to date was when he rushed into the kitchen, not-so-fake blood running down his face and over one eye to announce he had been assaulted (“Ah-salt-ed, get it, love?!”) whilst brandishing a salt pot at you.

On the rare occasion that William dared to enter the shop with both of you in it, usually something to do with the earl’s demon, he made his opinion on your pranking escapades quite clear. He couldn’t wrap his head around how two fully grown beings such as yourselves could act so childishly and you poking fun at him for it only made the situation worse. One time, your half-brother hit you so hard over the back of the head that you thought you would get a concussion. Undertaker, of course, was no help whatsoever, tears streaming down his face and quite literally in a heap on the floor.

It did the job and shut you up long enough for William to get his point across, but from then on and in retaliation, you ensured to center as many pranks as possible on William.

In your collective opinion, the best one you had managed was your most recent. William has been utterly exhausted from work, having not slept in about three days straight and running on nothing other than far too much caffeine. He’s intended to quickly speak to you over some small matter then leave. By what can only be described as a miracle, you and Undertaker had convinced him to stay for tea, under the pretence of trying to balance out his coffee intake, and he’d taken off his jacket. Which you promptly stole whilst your accomplice distracted him. When he left, your brother was too tired to do much as notice the slight smell coming from it, but even if he had you doubted he would have thought twice about it.

The next time you saw him it was the middle of the following night and he was beyond furious. He flew into the parlour, startling you both from the extended hug you had been sharing and all but throwing said item of clothing in your faces. Immediately, you started laughing, as in the half dark of the front room, the clashing pink and green glow in the dark paint you had covered the jacket in showed up almost perfectly and of course you knew full well that William did most of his reaping in the human world at night. Even with the decidedly painful consequences of your choice, the thought of your ever serious half brother actually wearing it, complete with a smiley face daubed brilliantly across the back, made it worth it a hundred times over.

Simultaneously, your prank war with Undertaker was still going on, in spite of your half-brother’s ever increasing complaints. Once, you even managed to draw a smirk from Sebastian Michælis, to the horror of the earl, who insisted they leave immediately. You and the mortician had giggled like schoolgirls for hours after that one. You ended up with quite the reputation as pranksters, in both the human and reapers worlds, much to your collective delight.
