I flippin' love power dynamics and the contrast of a (supposedly) helpless whumpee with a powerful whumper. I don't always need the violence or the explicit stuff, ya know? That moment when the balance of power tips toward the villain - that breathless, whumperflies-inducing moment of I could kill you, but I'm choosing not to; I could hurt you even more, but I'm holding back because I can. OMFG. That. That right there is my jam.

Whumper being captured by outside forces, after some brutal "questioning" (whipping, beating, branding) he thrown into the cell with his whumpee, who is in far better shape than he is now.

Now Whumpee has all the cards. Do they help their snotty captor, or leave him in a shivering, bleeding heap, or even hurt him more? Maybe whumper is scared enough that he starts begging.

The final countdown comes to an end. A heated situation, a battle or a discussion, perhaps.

Person A is the leader of MC. MC feels like A are a parent to them. While in that intense moment, A says something that breaks MCs heart. Did they show themselves as the villain? Did they say the ONE thing they knew would hurt MC mentally beyond repair? What the reader knows, but not MC: A ist forced to lie. A loves MC like their own child and would never do sth like they said/did - but that is the only way to get A do do sth that will in the end save them. We "watch" as MC breaks down, and we know that A feels the same. That they love MC and seeing them like this almost kills them. But it had to be.

Every day I wake up and think:

“At some point Izzy realised how out of control things had gotten, and started putting himself in between Ed and the crew, as much as he could. Especially when Ed was too drunk/high to even know what he was doing. Cause Izzy doesn’t want the others to suffer more for his mistakes.”

“They are all bonded through shared trauma now.”

And every day I cry like a baby.

I love characters that tear themselves apart for something. I love characters that would willfully destroy themselves for their goal. Characters that have moved past the point of caring what happens to them because all that matters is this one goal and it’s fine if they’re destroyed or maimed or anything else because as long as they fulfill that goal they think they’ll be fine.

Even better if they gradually start to doubt this goal. What have I been pouring myself into this entire time? But by now they’re too far gone to stop so like clockwork they just keep walking towards this goal. They’ll constantly destroy themself for this one goal and they can’t change that fate no matter if they can recognize their original goal has been twisted beyond any recognition.

This part really struck me, and I wanted to draw it! Luffy is just trying to protect his little family, and while the Lapins nearly got them killed, he still helps pull one out of the snow....because he recognizes they're trying to protect their family too. And I love that ;v;

Don't we just love it when a whumpee insults whumper or goes off on them and the moment whumper moves to hit them, they shut the fuck up, flinch back, and close their eyes?

living weapon whumpees who, during the first few months of recovery with caretaker, are foreign to the concept of comfort‼️‼️‼️

have them flinching away from caretaker's soft touch because they believe they don't deserve it‼️‼️‼️

have a caretaker gently massage living weapon whumpee's shoulders, soothing words further adding to whumpee's overall confusion before they eventually lean into caretaker's warm touch‼️‼️‼️

have caretaker's soft words and hands holding whumpee's face snap them out of their conditioning after something / someone accidentally triggered them, startled at first before recognizing that, caretaker wasn't a threat, they were safe with them and that whumper wasn't here anymore ‼️‼️‼️

Love it when whumpee expects caretaker(s) to do something really bad but they're okay with it because they've been through worse but then the caretaker(s) behave with basic human deceny decency and whumpee is like *surprised pikachu face*. That shit is like drug to me, could get high on it.

I, too, like the trope 'forced to listen' with hearing agonising screams from the room at the other side of the cell block.

But I'd like to raise with:

Hearing a single gunshot followed by earth shattering silence from the room at the other side of the cell block.

Having Thoughts tonight about a whumpee who's been taken in by a group or couple, and their first night there is just miserable. Sick, in pain, having nightmares -- they can't get to sleep and lie in bed for hours tossing and turning and letting out a distressed whimper now and again.

One of the new caretakers has been...less enthusiastic about taking them in than he others. But for whatever reason, it's them who hears the sad little sounds coming from the whumpee's room late at night, and so, with a sigh and a bit of reservation, it's them who goes to check on them. And they end up staying for a while, talking softly to them and growing less suspicious and more concerned and sympathetic as the hours go by.

i know the whump community hates women characters or whatever but the lesbian in me is dying for bloody femininity please

let them have thicc thighs and bazoinkas and wear dresses with the hem ripped to shreds so they can run faster. have them sprint in heels. have them use their stilettos as weapons when they jam it into a person's eye. girls kissing girls. beautifully manicured nails chipped and broken away or idly tracing the length of a blade. fishnets and stockings with runs gouged in them. low cut blouses that leave their collarbones exposed to be traced with the tip of a weapon. tight dresses that hug every curve to distract wandering eyes while they spike a drink. girls kissing girls. long silky hair to be wrapped around a hand and pulled. messy curls. a sultry villainess or a vixen in distress. smeared lipstick and mascara running down their cheeks. jewelry ripped from their necks and earrings torn from their lobes. clawing their way out of the carnage to emerge victorious, drenched in blood, beautiful in their madness. being upset that their hair was forcibly cut or their favorite bra was snapped or missing their skincare routine. girls kissing girls. feeling icky when they've been stripped of their womanhood. being empowered when they reclaim what's rightfully theirs through any means necessary. using their sweet face and lilting voice to draw a false sense of security in their victims. feminine rage and revenge. being underestimated because what could such a pretty little thing like her do? girls kissing girls. ultra femme cottagecore babe drenched in red. black leather dommy mommy being the gentlest caretaker. sisterhood. to be kind and nurturing or cold and cruel. did i mention the girls kissing girls.
