Interrogation/torture scenes where Whumper is just as gentle as they are cruel.

Their voice is soft even as they slide a serrated knife beneath Whumpee’s skin, methodically drawing out screams. Between rounds, they crouch on their heels as if calming a scared child, tilting their head to peer underneath a sweaty curtain of hair.

They ask guilessly, as blood drips steadily from the knife in their hand, “Should we try this again?”

When whumpee resists or gets the questions wrong the system fills the room with a painfully loud buzz.

I adore this and raise you: Whumpee having to earn any basic need. Whether it’s doing something humiliating or enduring a painful punishment, everything they get is earned by giving up a piece of themself.

If they can’t take another round of lashes, they don’t deserve to eat. If they can’t take a few chemical burns, they don’t deserve water. If they can’t take a little hypothermia, they won’t be handed the mercy of a blanket or a shirt. And it’s their own fault, really, for being so weak.

Whumpee’s hair being forcibly cut or shaved

Forced to walk barefoot, or without any clothes at all

Public trials or executions

Public mock executions, where Whumpee can see for themself that no one will help them. The crowd cheers for their death.

Being whipped, caned, birched, or belted

Being restrained in a way that leaves them vulnerable to the whims of a crowd—the stocks, the post, a stress position, or simply being held down by a few guards

Public demotion or exile

Forced to complete humiliating tasks as a form of entertainment or punishment

Forced to kneel or bow to/beside Whumper
