your post about being non binary is literally so real i remember agonizing about my gender and being like "awe i wish i could use they/them pronouns that would be really cool and awesome and id love that a lot. too bad i cant!!!!" yes. yes you can.
as far as your own personal identity goes you can do whatever you want forever I think

If Dash doesn't have a future in football, he may have one in mechanics. A kid putting together a haunted house room with an original ride about the horrors of foot fungus and animatronics is pretty advanced.
I see him as a car dude so maybe he'll go on to restoring old cars or something if football doesn't work out.

woke up this morning having dreamed about a lot last night (including some very vivid stuff with a guy i dated so long ago which gave me a bit of a crisis) and felt a bit iffy, but it seemed like it was lessening over the day, surely no problem-
nope. sure is. it's time to sleep now and my body and brain is so unsettled. want to hide in my bed and never get out. googling 'spring depression' as we speak.

ok well. just went to see a neuropsychologist and all she asked me were the standard questions you find in every internet autism test. which i KNOW don't apply to me ("do you find it difficult to infer people's intentions", "do you find it difficult to read between the lines" etc) and like she was literally reading off of her computer and asking me to pick one of the options between "strongly agree" and "strongly disagree" and it's like girl i could have done that at home. sure hope she's not stopping there and that she's not gonna just look at what i said but at the way i said it. idk it irked me that she just pulled up the old (as in outdated and reductive) standardised test on her computer and acted as if those questions would make me question myself like girl i've done this test fifteen times. not only is it not going to tell you anything about me but it's not going to tell you anything about most people. and most autistics. and she did suggest i come back for a more formal and global assessment, but she also kept using the words "cognitive deficit" to describe autism. which i realise is a commonly used term, but it feels reductive idk. so overall i'm not overjoyed with how this went lol.

can we talk about revival religions i want to talk about it... i like cant stress enough how concerning it is that people cant tell the difference between a closed practice that you need to belong to a certain community to understand vs. a revival invented by hobbyists for fun based on the texts of a dead (or...made up) tradition that everyone has equal access to & say things like “percy jackson is problematic because there are people who worship apollo” & get taken in by racists and nationalists bc they say shit like “we need to reclaim our marginalised indigenous heritage”. if u think thatbeing born in a nation state thats landmass roughly corresponds with the collection of ancient city-states that produced some of the most widely-disseminated literature in the world somehow puts you in the same position as an indigenous person begging white neopagans to stop burning white sage you really really need to unpack that...
