girl experiences gender euphoria and is immediately slammed by grief
for @litttlittt <3. this was supposed to be a portrait of caroline hill, but litta mentioned tim looking like janet when dressed as caroline and identity issues and angst and things spiraled
something about tim not knowing if he's his mother's child or bruce's or neither's.
figuring out the looks:
i wanted janet to have that poofy 70s hair

Just curious what the average level of personal investment in these sorts of things is. Like, how much do people usually get into silly stuff like this their friends ask of them? etc. etc. Which I know, only surveying a small sample on a very specific website means I'm not getting an exact average idea lol, but.. curious nonetheless .. Maybe reblog for bigger sample size but also this is not very serious at all/not worth a call to action gbhjbhjb

No but genuinely, how does Sun even get drunk... Like, is there some magic he's had this entire time that allows him to process alcohol in the same way as humans? Are nanomachines somehow susceptible to it??? Like I am truly wholly tryna figure something out for this because if robots really don't get effected by alcohol, then Sun's drinking really isn't a problem for the alcoholism reasons.
It might be a problem for like, maintenance reasons though. I don't think wine is particularly dangerous to robotic parts in any way—just as dangerous as water or soda or many other liquids—but if some of it isn't fully "processed" then it's probably gunking some stuff up internally. Maybe not to a fatal degree, but still to an annoying degree.
Idk just kinda thinkin' out loud. I think drinking headcanons are entertaining but they're really something that makes you go "yeah there's no way this could happen, I'm just bullshitting for fun" lmao 😭

Although we don’t know the exact details behind the central conflict of Across the Spiderverse and it could very well be an intentional trailer misdirect, I think the possibility of Miles having to save one of his parents at the risk of the multiverse has strong potential to challenge the deeply rooted idea that tragedy and sacrifice define Spider-Man as a character. Much of Spider-Man media suggests that Spider-Man absolutely has to give up his loved ones and personal life for the sake of his duties, an idea that’s so ingrained culturally that many people weren’t satisfied with the MCU’s Peter Parker until No Way Home literally everything away from him. And while this is a staple of the character for a reason and even the first Spiderverse movie delves into the idea of getting back up from major loss, the new Spiderverse movie looks like it might offer the much more optimistic perspective that you don’t have to lose everything to wear the mask. Miguel sees himself as the protector of destiny, and most likely having lost a loved one himself, fully believes that Miles’ losses are set in stone for the good of the multiverse. But Miles has never been one to follow the narrative. He was bitten by a spider not of his world and went beyond the expectations of others by doing things his own way. He defines his own path and will fight to keep both the multiverse and his happiness alive, no matter how much he’s told he can’t have both.

i think its weird that i have to make this disclaimer but the internet is crazy so wtvr,, anyway,,
if i say i dont like something, that doesnt mean "that thing is bad and nobody should post it.."
i swear literally every time i even mention that i dislike something, people will go "wow does that mean u fucking hate me cuz i post that thing? ur a fucking stupid bitch and all ur opinions r wrong" LIKE ?? er.. no. just because i say i dont like certain characterizations of certain characters (the saiki k fandom is CRAZY about this cuz i can state an opinion on literally any character and a group of people will still go 'well only we're allowed to post our opinions about them because we're always right!1!1!'), or certain ship tropes (mentioned my hatred of toxic yaoi maybe once or twice on here months ago and people STILL get mad at me as if i said toxic yaoi lovers r evil or something), or certain ships, or WHATEVER, does not mean that i HATE the people who are posting them or that i think they shouldnt post them at all, NO, im just posting about my personal tastes on my personal blog and it would be extremely weird and hypocritical if i decided that i was the ONLY person that was allowed to do that,,
i think the only reason people assume that is because there are a lot of other people on here who ARE like that, and a lot of people toe the line between posting that they dont like something and posting that they think everyone who likes that thing is stupid, annoying, and wrong,, so i guess all i can say is, sorry for whatever made you make these assumptions but they arent true about me so plz leave me alone ʘ‿ʘ ur doing the same thing to me that ur accusing me of but i didnt do it in the first place so ur just actively being a dick for no reason

Was just checking my book's reviews on Goodreads, as one does, and there was a relatively scathing review of Like Real People Do that actually made a lot of excellent points, highlighting things I'd do differently if I was writing it now.
But one point I found funny and would not change was something along the lines of "The Tumblr references were excruciating and made it read like 2015 fan fiction." Which, close, it was 2017 fanfic, but also I had the option to take out the Tumblr references and I didn't on purpose, even though it dates the book. Tumblr helped me write this book. We're paying homage to its origins. Will I do that for every book I publish? No. But the first one? That I only scrubbed and queried because my online friends told me it was good enough and I should try? Those we keep. Also, if you read a book and the dedication page says it's for fanfic writers, it's your own damn fault if you don't enjoy it because it reads like fic and has Tumblr references.

Some system struggle related userboxes, based on ones we personally experience
(P.S. As a reminder, all systems will have unique experiences overall, and some of the individual things you may experience that make you nervous may actually be more common than you think. It's normal to worry about these things as well. At the end of the day, we are all different, and we don't need to fight to justify our validity in existing, or the validity of our experiences. We are here because of trauma, we don't need to justify our existence to anybody. <3)
[Text 1: This system struggles with worrying that they need to justify splits and alters existing]
[Text 2: This user gets anxious when the rest of the system goes quiet while fronting]
[Text 3: This system has many alters without clear or active roles and is afraid that it makes them less valid]
[Text 4: This system's alters worry about not being able to fulfill a clear role]
[Text 5: This system gets anxious about unusual and/or frequent splits]
[Text 6: This system is afraid that their experiences aren't normal and that others will judge them]
[Text 7: This system is still working on learning self-acceptance no matter their experiences or how their system functions]
[Text 8: This system struggles with worrying about faking but is getting better at avoiding those thoughts and worries]

fire and the thud came on my spotify shuffle while me and my sister were listening to music this afternoon, and at the end of it she turns to me and goes “who was that? the lyrics sound like the kind of thing you’d write” and honestly i think it’s one of my favourite unintentional compliments i’ve ever received

anyways, all of this just to say: Acedia still having glasses despite getting spider-man powers is actually supported by Spider-Man canon as presented here!!
Bro still wears his glasses when he’s himself and not Spider-Man, as well, and this is the case for decades. it’s only in different iterations of the character (aka, different earths with slight alterations to the origins and all) that he loses his need for glasses. (either because of the spider-bite or from my own theory: off-screen getting contacts possibly?)
So it’s not too weird that Acedia still has glasses!

i’m not watching stream right now so this might be terrible timing for this post, but i’ve been thinking about it a lot over the past few days. i just wanted to say that there are a lot of things to understandably get upset with qphil for (he’s a flawed character! sunny’s scared of him for a reason, and he has trouble understanding tubbo, and he sometimes has trouble juggling both of his kids’ needs), but one thing that i could never be upset with him for is laughing in the face of tragedy. it would be kind of hypocritical due to the way that tubbo has goofed off in the middle of phil’s angsty lore, for one. (so this goes for anyone upset at tubbo for laughing during tragic moments too!)
but even beyond that, it’s a normal human reaction. i do it. when things freak me out, i laugh. nervous laughter is really annoying sometimes, because i’ll see someone i love in pain and i’ll feel scared or upset and i can’t help but laugh because it’s the way my body releases the emotions.
and i know on a meta level it’s actually just ccs wanting to goof off with their friends, but when people are complaining about the characters being callous by laughing at tragic situations, i just think it’s important to recognize that sometimes that’s just a thing that happens without anyone meaning harm by it.

After a miserable few days, which always happens when I get anons that share a facecast or facecasts with me, I'll no longer be responding to any anon facecasts because it's not really about me and there's no real safe way to respond for me and there never has been.
I love when y'all facecast characters and enjoy doing that, it's a type of fandom engagement I hate doing personally and I don't enjoy being asked to engage with, and have said increasingly over the years, but I will always 100% support you doing it for yourself, and think it's great that others get enjoyment out of this.
But I don't. And I'm no longer going to host that part of fandom here.
I've deleted all previous ask responses on facecasting and am going to leave this one up in the tags as my reference in the future.

Having demand avoidance in a medical setting is literally hell. Like, patient autonomy is already absolute ass. It's only made worse when doctors CONSISTENTLY tell you what to do and act like you HAVE to do it instead of consulting with you first like normal fucking people.

This Undertale quote still fucks with me, so when I saw the art meme I couldn't help myself. I love drawing things that only I have full context for, it's very fun pfft. Maybe one day this will all make sense, but for the moment you can speculate wildly haha.
(honestly I should have waited to post this after she shows up in United in Distaste (she's actually supposed to show up really soon in the Venti fic lol), but with new Remuria stuff coming out soon I couldn't help myself.)
