I put together these podcast recommendations based on books a while ago, enjoy (they also work the other way around, I highly recommend these books, I made it my life's mission to make people read radio silence, it's SUCH a great book and it got me into Welcome to Night Vale and podcasts in general. I love the Tumblr presence of fiction podcasts. It makes it feel like actual people are making these shows and not just an amorphous corporate entity cranking out content. We got one willing to drop small lore and world building hints and clarifications on their work (or just shitposting about their favorite toxic ship from the show) ( @starsfellradio ), we got another hyperfixated on old tools and tech right now ( @starfallpod ), and then we have… whatever the Intern at @ameliapodcast has going on over there.

A short list of my favourite sapphic audio dramas

Echobox- Greek Mythology in the modern world, bisexual mc in love with Artemis (relatable) who is a lesbian in this universe, slowburn

Where the stars fell- The Antichrist and her Guardian Angel.They "hate" each other but really it's just sexual tension, they bicker and banter constantly it's hilarious, also the love interest is a butch lesbian and I'm pretty sure the mc is a lesbian the mc is actually bisexual. There's rep for autistic people and people with learning disabilities.

Inkwrym- A CEO and her assistant. They also "hate" each other when it's really just sexual tension. It's the same VAs and company that made Where the stars fell. Lots of bickering and banter. Audio 6/10, Story 100/10.

Elixir- The owner of an illegal elixir store and the daughter of wealthy politicians who had a hand in outlawing elixir. Alot more action and politics than you would think.

Once upon a wasteland- A spy and a scribe trying to find their happily ever after. Set in the fallout universe (you don't need to know anything about fallout) this has one of my favourite sapphic relationships ever. They are incredibly healthy and they get together early in season one so you get to enjoy them throughout the drama. Its still ongoing.

Starship Q star- The US government sends is first team of all women and non-binary people to Mars right before the planet blows up. The team is co captained by Sim and Aurelia who are exes. It's basically messy sapphic drama the show and it's hilarious.

Like how Fawx and Stallion is Technically canon to Kalila Stormfire's Economical Magick Services because of the Where the Stars Fell having a crossover with Fawx and Stallion and The Amelia Project, and how TAP had a crossover with KSEM.

Dreamboy (I wasn't ever really interested in it but seeing Dane Terry live at the WTNV live show last year convinced me to listen to it and it's so good it's a CRIME that it's only one season)

Spirit Box Radio (the newest obsession, I'm being Very Normal about these characters)

Joey and Salvatore have been missing from The Amelia Project for a while and I feel like the funniest thing the TAP crew could have done is get them the smallest cameos in other podcasts while they’re gone. Just imagine some random Italian argument happening in the background of Midnight Burger, or two Italians broke into Mama Gabe’s for some pie, or these Catholic boys needed to go to confession at St. Paul’s Cathedral.

Just play it off as them being lost and trying to find their way home. Hilarious.
