i was sent this ask:
"Hello, you! can there be a headcannon where, (Scout, Sniper, demo, and my favorite Texan, engi) hugging S/o and the merc is like: “Oh no I’m in love with them” as their face is all red? And, S/o is sorta worried about them and asking “you good?” this scenario has been itching my brain for a few days lol
Anon jilly🦭🌺"
and i believe you may have forgotten to turn anon on when submitting the ask, so i still saw your url. out of respect for your anonymity, i will answer here instead of from the inbox, so hopefully it still finds you well! also i hope you don't mind i do a mini scenario for these as opposed to HCs, just to give yall a little more content :3
Mercs Getting a Big Ole Hug
Scout
-You two always had a strong bond, and a dynamic like childhood friends. It was always fun and games with Scout, and when the time came, he knew how to comfort you and be there for you albeit in his own clumsy and Scout-y way.
-It wasn't until he noticed the way the other Mercs looked at you did he start to see you as more than just a friend--he now became acutely aware of how soft your skin felt when it brushed up against his, the way your hair perfectly framed your face, every small detail about you, and he couldn't believe he never noticed any of this before.
-It was your day off, and as usual, you spent it with Scout. The two of you tired yourselves out playing catch outside, as well as other fun roughhousing typical of your other pastimes. While running for the ball, you tripped and fell forward, but Scout was quick enough to catch you, and held you in a tight embrace. You instinctively wrap your arms around his torso and bury your head in his chest. He maintains his grip on you, but his face is as red as his uniform--all of a sudden the outside air feels cramped and he's getting clammy. It was like getting hit with his own Atomizer: all the times he's admired every little thing about you coming together all at once to beat him over the head with the realization that he was in love with you.
-You finally let him go, looking up at him and yelping a bit in surprise. "Scout?! What happened to you? Should we go see Medic?!" You ask frantically, concern showing on your scrunched features as you took in Scout's seemingly-ill state. "N-Nah, I'm okay, really! More than that, actually...I feel amazin'." He gazed at you with a softness you hadn't yet seen before, but it sparked a warmth in your heart and your tummy that you didn't oppose.
Sniper
-Sniper wasn't exactly one for PDA, let alone physical touch. Just didn't tickle his fancy. But you, something about you gave Sniper the desire, for the first time in ages, to hold, touch, and generally be around someone of his own volition. But for some reason, he just couldn't find it in himself to act on those desires. Whether it be his own deeply-instilled professionalism or cowardice, he couldn't tell. Whatever it was, all he knew was him being afraid of scaring you off. So he did nothing. The minimal interactions with you now would suffice, and his imagination could do the rest.
-You weren't exactly having the best day. Just yesterday, you scuffed a one-on-one encounter with an enemy merc that cost your team the mission, and today's target practice was not kind to you either. You found yourself alone on the range, tears of frustration pooling in your [color] eyes as you trudged along to set up the target dummy Sniper once again. Overwhelmed by frustration, you found yourself hugging the Sniper dummy for even the slightest sense of comfort, dropping your rifle to the dust below with a thud. The real Sniper, who had volunteered to check on you, heard the sound of your rifle hitting the ground as he left the base. The impact immediately spiked his adrenaline and caused the worst thoughts to run through his mind. He quickened his pace, almost falling over in place once he beheld the scene. Sniper couldn't help but feel a tug on his heartstrings watching you embrace the dummy of him. A warm flush crept its way to his rugged features as he realized the depth of his feelings for you way-exceeded his expectations.
-It's now or never, he thought to himself, finally finding the courage to approach you. He put a large gloved hand on your shoulder, eliciting a fearful shriek from you. Your face reddened with embarrassment, stammering as you tried to come up with a good excuse for your behavior. Wordlessly, Sniper wrapped you up in a tight embrace which immediately soothed your worries. "Shhh. It's alright, roo. Don't cry, now." He spoke just above a whisper, and despite being there to comfort you, he himself was trembling with anxiety at what he's just done. When you finally gathered yourself and parted from the Aussie's embrace, your eyes widened. "Sniper! What's gotten into you?!" He looked down at you with a slight smile, as if it would conceal the way his heart pounded in his chest.
"You have, sheila."
Demoman
-He wasn't always drunk! Okay, maybe he was, but that didn't mean he was always unaware. He was especially aware of a certain little merc who always took him to bed, always got him water, and always made sure to wish him a goodnight, even when the rest left him to drink himself to oblivion. He thought of you very fondly, like a close friend more than just a colleague. You were the first of the bunch to ever show a genuine compassion for him and actually attempt to care for him even in his drunken state (and he knew that was no easy feat).
-It was another night like always, the rest of the team off taking care of their own business while Demo had some precious one-on-one time with his scrumpy, this time accompanied by you! And you were actually drinking with him! It was the weekend, after all, and you decided what the hell, why not, and let your hair down a little. While not nearly as intoxicated as your Scottish companion, you definitely felt the buzzy warmth of drunkenness sneaking up on you. You felt more bubbly, confident, and silly. You gazed upon Demo fondly as he slurred through stories of missions, both failures and successes.
-Right as he was getting to the story's climax, he raised his arms above his head for dramatic affect, and you impulsively leapt into them. "Awwe Tavichhh, I wuv when you tell stowiesss" you mumbled into his chest, arms wrapped tightly around his torso as if he'd leave you any second. The sudden show of affection almost sobered Demo up a bit, but he quickly dropped his arms and returned your embrace. In his drunken state, the warmth of your body against his felt like fire, and he couldn't help but notice the way you fit perfectly into him. Demo soon grabbed your shoulders, moving you back to meet his gaze. The sudden serious look on his face sent a shiver down your spine. "D-demo! What's the matter?!" He took in your flushed face as if he were looking upon the Mona Lisa herself before finally speaking, "Oh it's nothin, lass. I just enjoy lookin' at ye."
Engineer
-You were lucky enough to get some time off when you were informed this go-round of contracts did not include you. To your surprise, they didn't include Engie, either. You discovered this when you bolted for the workshop in a panic as you realized your prized headphones were destroyed! You were about to go on a walk before fishing them from your backpack and soon met with the disappointment of your prized possession in tatters--wires frayed, and hanging down almost mockingly.
-As you busted through the double doors of Engineer's workshop, he jumped in surprise, nearly dropping his wrench. "Well howdy to yourself too, darlin'!" He regained his bearings and approached you with a chuckle. "What's got you in such a tizzy, hm?" You simply raised the broken pair of headphones up*, looking at him like a lost puppy. "M-my headphones are destroyeeeddd!" You whined. Engie, behind his goggles, looked at you with a twinge of pain in his eyes just from hearing how distraught you were. Though he was empathetic to your "loss", he couldn't help but admire how adorable you sounded when you whimpered, and got a bit of an ego-boost from how you immediately came to him for aid. Engie took the headphones from you, inspecting them closely as he set them down on a nearby workbench. "Y'know, dear, these might not be a lost cause...let's see what some good ole fashioned Texan ingenuity can do!" He assured you with a sly smile.
-You fidgeted nervously as you watched over his shoulder while he tinkered away on your poor headphones. "Can I get you somethin' to drink darlin'? Maybe some water?" Engineer didn't take his eyes off the headphones as he spoke, currently re-twisting and wrapping wires before getting to work on the broken frame of the device. "I'm okay, thank you, Engie..." Truthfully, you were just too nervous to take your eyes off of the headphones while Engineer repaired them. Of course, you trusted his skillful hand, but with them being such a meaningful item to you, you couldn't help but hover over his shoulder and watch. Suddenly, Engie spoke up again, this time with a command-- "Close your eyes, dear." Nervously, you did as you were told. Engineer turned to face you, gently placing the repaired headphones on your head. Your eyes shot open and hands immediately went up to feel the newly repaired device now muffling your hearing.
-Without a second thought, you pulled Engie into a tight embrace. "Engie, you're the best!! Thank you so much!" You exclaimed, nuzzling his chest a bit as the two of you embraced. His large gloved hand gently caressed your back, giving it a slight pat in response to your praise. While Engineer typically maintained a relaxed exterior, internally, he was practically melting. A proper southern gentleman such as himself couldn't be indecent in the presence of a lady, but the fog on his goggles and pink in his cheeks said otherwise. You pulled away, removing the headphones. You went to inspect them further, but the sight before you stopped you dead in your tracks. "Engie?! You feeling alright??" He looked like he was about to pass out--and he felt like it, too.
-Engineer simply nodded, placing his ivory-colored cowboy hat on your head in response.
*this is exactly what i envisioned for this scene btw

hey jd, how do we feel about aemond finding out that aegon put his hands on you? granted, you’re just a servant girl and it’s not the first time he’s harassed the help, but what would happen? huh? 👀 -@pluvialpoet

warnings: implied/vaguely described smut, implied SA of some kind, hurt/comfort, brief suicidal ideation, heavy angst, friends to lovers, way too much wholesomeness, not exactly breeding kink but mentions of pregnancy/babies

"I'll fucking kill him," Aemond decided. "I finally will, I'll do it."
"No, you won't," you sighed as you rested your hands on his shoulders. "That wouldn't do anyone any good."
"It would do me some fucking good," he insisted, nostrils flaring and uncovered eye wide with fire, "knowing that no man who has touched you lives."
"He did it to anger you, Aemond," you explained flatly, holding on tighter to him and trying not to notice the way it made your broken heart race. "Don't give in to him— you'd only be giving him what he wants." Just as I did... but I had no choice.
He looked away quickly, so you couldn't see his eye at all, and for a second you thought he might be getting choked up. "So it is my fault, then," he realised.
"No!" you yelped. "No, I didn't mean—"
"He knows that I care for you," Aemond whispered shakily. "Better than I do, he knows, and he wants to use you to hurt me. It's why I never..."
He swallowed, turning away from you, and you reached up to his shoulder. "I thought you would tell me anything, Aemond. Tell me."
It was a promise you'd made well over a decade ago, when you were just children. That was when it all started: this bizarre, impossible friendship. Back then, it didn't seem so strange to you that a servant girl and the prince could be friends, but the longer it went on, the more you both became aware of how forbidden it all really was. It never stopped you, though. Yes, it made you more cautious— only meeting in dark, quiet places, or secluded corners of the gardens— but it never made you any less close. He shared with you the fears, the dreams, the prayers he could not tell his own family; and you, just the same, though you had no family left after your mother succumbed to illness. Even the other servants didn't approve of your friendship with the prince, so you had to hide it from them at well— if they suspected he favoured you in any way, they would exploit you at best, or take some kind of revenge at worst. Still, he snuck into the kitchens when you were cooking to steal bites of fruit and cheese while he talked to you; still, you scrubbed the floors by his chambers in the morning just in case he wanted to come out and sit down nearby, leaning against the wall and giving you advice on the latest dilemma of your life (of which you had several, often one after the other if not overlapping).
That promise to tell each other anything, and everything, you made it in a tree in the gardens. He loved to climb as a boy, and you couldn't keep up but he always held your hand when you were afraid to fall. That was your tree, and it was where you found him, crying, after he'd seen the scar over his eye for the first time. He'd kept a brave face about it all— about the bullying, about his fear he'd never have a dragon of his own, about how angry and terrified he was about what had happened to his face— from the beginning. He didn't even let his mother in on the truth of his feelings, telling her not to be upset about his eye because he wasn't, either. But the lie of indifference that he'd so carefully constructed fell apart in a moment when the healers showed him the barely-healed scar. He climbed your tree alone, to the highest branch, and sobbed— which, by the way, was excruciating with his wound— as he wondered if he should pitch himself from his height and hope it was enough to end everything.
But when he looked down at the ground again, you were standing in the middle of the green grass, staring up at him. "I'm cross with you!" you informed him plainly, balling up your little fists and shouting.
He sniffled and wiped his eye quickly, covering the other with the patch the healers had given him— he didn't want you to see him like this, he didn't want anyone to see him like this. "With me?" he repeated with a shaky voice. "What... what did I do?"
"You climbed our tree by yourself!"
He laughed a little, even through the tears. "I found this tree first," he reminded you proudly, "I showed it to you! I said, look at this tree I found."
"Yes, but it's our tree now," you explained, "and you shouldn't be in it by yourself. I can't get up there without your help!"
Rolling his eye to feign irritation with your ineptitude, he navigated himself down a bit until he could reach out for your hand and help pull you up. When you were sitting together among the branches, you eventually coaxed the truth out of him, about everything he'd been afraid to admit to anyone. He seemed to think he would be fearless if he simply told no one what he was really afraid of; but that hadn't worked, had it? The boys still taunted him for having no dragon, and he still lost his eye. The only thing that had changed was that he had to go it all alone. Until now.
"You have to promise not to hide anything from me again," you decided. "We have to tell each other everything. Even the things we're scared to tell anybody... that's the stuff that matters most, anyway."
"Okay," he agreed. "How are we going to swear on it?"
You tilted your head in confusion.
"We have to swear on something," he decided, "or it's just something we're saying."
"I'll swear on my life," you decided. "I'll die before I ever hide something from you, or tell you a lie."
He seemed hesitant. "Can I hide one thing from you, at least?"
"No!"
He frowned. "At least let me wait to show you."
He reached up to the patch shakily, and you realised what it was he wanted to hide. "Okay... that can wait, until it's healed better. But you need to swear on your life!"
"All right! I will!" he groaned, frustrated by your insistence. "I swear, on my life, I'll tell you everything from now on. And never lie to you."
"Or you'll die," you added, smiling with a grin that was missing a tooth or two that had fallen out recently.
"Or I'll die," he agreed. For the first time since he saw that scar, he didn't want to die.
But even then, you couldn't have known how much more complicated things would become. Now you were grown— faster than you should've been— and Aegon, jealous of the affection you shared, had tried to spoil it all. It was the first time since you made that promise that you really considered hiding something from Aemond, being both ashamed of what had occurred and terrified of how your best friend would react.
"Please, tell me," you begged him as your hand held tighter onto his shoulder.
He almost scared you with how fast he turned around, how he clutched your arms and yet couldn't look you in the face. "I never told anyone," he whispered harshly, "how I felt about you. I never wanted to break our promise— it was just to keep you safe, I need you to be safe, do you understand?"
Though you had to bite your lip to keep it from quivering, you nodded.
"But if he knows..."
Your eyes welled with tears, trying not to see Aegon's face in your mind, the horrible way he'd looked at you.
"I should tell you," Aemond decided. "I should tell you that I've fallen in love with you."
Before you could properly react to that, his hands clutched your face and wiped the tear that had begun to run down your cheek.
"He hates me for it," Aemond continued. "He hates that I'm in love with a servant girl and he can't even love his own wife. He hates us because he'll never know what we share. And he must have thought that if he forced himself on you, that he would understand, that he could know what kind of love we have. But he can't imagine that it's your mind I love, not your body. He can't imagine the beauty of your heart."
Crying harder, you reached up to hold onto his wrists. "Aemond..." you whispered.
"If you don't love me, don't tell me yet," he pleaded. "You can break our promise, just this once. Let me imagine for a night that I haven't ruined everything."
You pulled your hands away and plunged forward, slamming your lips onto his, wrapping your arms around his shoulders. He widened his eyes for a second before kissing you back, delicately holding your waist to keep you close. It was tender and sweet, even as you struggled to stop crying from the overwhelming emotion of the moment.
When you broke away, he pressed his forehead to yours, and you both shut your eyes. "I'm sorry that I didn't tell you," he added, and you smiled.
"Weren't you afraid to die?" you joked.
"It felt like dying," he replied, opening his eyes again and examining you. "Having you so close, but not in the way I wanted... being able to keep you near but never hold you... it was worse than death, at times. I never wanted anyone to touch you but me."
Sighing shakily, you could hear your heartbeat in your ears louder than your own voice when you spoke. "Then touch me," you breathed. "I want you to."
His grip tightened on your waist, thumb petting your back, and you looked up at him expectantly. "My brother..." he trailed off. "I don't want to be like him. I don't want it to... be like that."
"It won't," you promised, "you're nothing like him. I want you to touch me, Aemond, please— I want to forget. Make me forget any touch but yours."
Pulling your body into his, guiding your head to tilt back, he kissed you again— deeper, hungrier, still slow but with this growing sense of desperation between the both of you.
He took you to the garden that night, pressed you up against your tree, and claimed you in the way you'd dreamed he would for years. He did more than make you forget Aegon, he made you forget everything that wasn't this moment; he held onto you so tightly and promised to never let you go, told you how beautiful you'd become, admitted how many years he'd spent longing for you but hiding his true feelings. You had so many things you wanted to say in return, but you were entirely lost for words the whole night— all you could do was cling to him and whine his name and run your fingers through his silky silver hair.
You spent the whole night in his arms; even when the sun was beginning to rise over the garden, he brought you to his chambers and took you once again there. Needless to say, he was exhausted after that, and passed out beside you on the mattress when he finally decided he couldn't go again. You were tired, too, but you couldn't sleep— you were so full of joy and excitement that you stayed awake and laid beside him, petting his hair and scratching his head and back as he slept. You didn't mean to wake him when you kissed his arm, but he turned and looked at you with a small smile. "Good morning," he mumbled in a deep, scratchy voice.
"It's well into the afternoon," you reminded him with a giggle. "You've slept all day."
He gave you a mischievous smirk as he pulled you closer, scooping you up into his arms and pressing your back to his chest. "Well, when you make love all night, that's the consequence, it seems," he explained.
His hand that held your chest moved down to your stomach, just under your belly button, and held you there as he leaned in closer to kiss your ear softly.
"There could be other consequences," he noticed.
You swallowed nervously. "Yes," you agreed, "but I could drink—"
"No," he interrupted, though he softened a second later. "I wish you wouldn't, at least not every time... I want it to take."
Your heart swelled. "But Aemond, you're a prince," you blurted out, looking over your shoulder at him, "and I'm only—"
"And you're my beloved," he whispered back, caressing your cheek with his hand and smiling at you. "And our child would be beautiful."
You smiled shyly, turning your body completely so you could hide your face in his neck. "Our child would be a bastard," you warned him.
"Our child would be a prince," he corrected, "our child would be made in love. Would you like that?"
You nodded against him, and he smiled as he kissed the top of your head. Finally, the need to sleep caught up with you after being up for so long; you ached inside and out, and with your head on his chest your eyes started to get heavier. You slept like you never had before, not because of the exhaustion— but because you'd never felt so safe.

Our Story (Jessie Fleming x Reader)
Tumblr media
warnings: ⚠️mentions of s3x⚠️
a/n: there will not be a part two too this story. Choose the ending you please. based off this request here
prompt: after jessie and reader broke up a few years back, jessie joins chelsea. the chelsea girls try to set them up, unaware of their history, but all that gets revealed during a game of truth or dare.
You met Jessie in 2017 at her first game for UCLA. You played for Stanford, and had been playing for them for two years now. Jessie scored a goal on her debut for UCLA, a screamer, and beat Stanford 1-0. Although annoyed, you were impressed, and a little star stuck buy the young canadian. One thing led to another, and you started dating. Long distance was hard, but man was Jessie worth it. You both lasted about a year and a half, and then things went down hill.
Your father got ill and you were balancing school, football and taking care of him, and it got too much. Breaking up with her broke your heart, but you knew it was right.
A month after your breakup, your father died.
You graduated university with a 3.9 GPA, 76 appearances for Stanford, and 46 goals. Dozens of clubs wanted you, they wanted you bad. But of course, one stuck out. Chelsea. You signed immediately, moved to London and started your life all over again over there. A month in, you were a regular started for Emma Hayes. You made connections at Chelsea, met the best people and made the best memories. But you missed Jessie, every day, you longed for her, and every day, you buried that longing and channeled it into football.
You were thriving, two years into your three year contract with Chelsea, you had 53 appearances and 27 goals. You had heard that there would be a new signing in the summer and you were excited. You loved helping the new players, you were a people pleaser and were naturally welcoming.
However, the day you were supposed to meet the new singing was a day you had a sponsorship signing with Nike so you arrived to training a few hours late.´ When you got there, it was a lift session. You walked into the gym, scanning the room for anyone new. No one.
"Where’s the new girl?" You asked Millie. "She’s talking with Emma in her office. You’ll never guess who it is," your national teammate said. "Why? We know her?" you asked, looking towards the door, waiting for her to walk in. "Hell yeah we do," Millie said, stretching the suspense. "Jesus, Mills! Just tell me!" you shrieked, the excitement too much. "Jessie Fleming."
You could have passed out. Your heart dropped, your face fell and your eyes widened. "No," you said sternly. "Uhm… yeah," Millie said, confused.
Your relationship with Jessie wasn’t exactly public. People knew but they didn’t know know. Your teammates didn’t ask questions as you weren’t out yet, they just didn’t talk to you about that kind of stuff. So it made sense that your national teammates didn’t know about Jessie. "She’s good too. She was a machine in training. Well, we know that. Played against Canada a couple of times." Millie said.
And then she walked in.
Her face as freckled as ever, her eyes as brown and furious as they were when you were both in university. And man… she looked good in blue. Your eyes locked with hers and she looked lost. There was no way she didn’t know you played for Chelsea, she must have done her research before coming here, right?
"Um. That’s- yeah. Good signing," you stuttered, looking back to Millie. "Yeah… spot me?" Millie asked.
You absentmindedly spotted the girl, knowing that if she did need the help you wouldn’t be able to get the bar, Millie was too strong and lifted too heavy.
Your eyes didn’t leave Jessie as Magda walked over to her, fulfilling her captains duties. "You’ll love it here. And you’ll love y/n. She’s great with the newcomers," Magda said to Jessie as they walked towards you. "Oh. I don’t want to bother her, she looks busy," Jessie said, stopping in her tracks. "Nah she’s good, I’m done my reps anyways," Millie said, sitting up and walking off.
You were standing as straight as a board, staring at Jessie. You were both blushing furiously and extremely uncomfortable. "She’s being weird today. Don’t worry she’s… more humanoid usually," Magda teased. "Haha Magdalena," you answered. "Hi, I’m y/n y/l/n."
You didn’t know why you had said that, why you had introduced yourself to her like that as though you hadn’t lost your virginity to her.
Jessie looked absolutely shocked, and maybe… a little hurt too. But she played along. She stuck her hand out and you shook hands. "Jessie Fleming."
You felt sick as you changed into your regular clothes. You felt even more sick as you were number 18, and Jessie would be right beside you as you both changed every day.
You were quick to shower and then put your clothes on, trying your very best to not think of the fact that you were still in love with the shirtless girl next to you.
You hurried out of the changing room, the first to be gone and when you got out, you leaned up against the wall and exhaled heavily. You hadn’t realized how much of a breath you had been holding.
You didn’t hear the door open again, and you didn’t see that someone was walking towards you as your eyes were closed. "Why did you do that?" A voice asked.
You jumped out of your skin, letting out a scream. "Fleming! Shit you scared me. Why did I do what?" you asked, a hand over your heart. "Why did you introduce yourself to me as though I haven’t seen you naked," Jessie said.
You didn’t remember her being this straightforward, but then again, two years can change someone completely. "Don’t say that. Just… Jessie no one can know we dated. We can’t be known as the exes on the team. I want you to do well here, and I know you will do well but i’m not casting a shadow over your opportunities by just… being a distraction," you said. "Okay. We don’t tell anyone," Jessie said.
"We don’t tell anyone."
One month later
Two first two weeks were extremely awkward, but after that, you settled in with each other. You and Jessie even started talking, laughing, and forgetting your past. It didn’t go unnoticed to the team how natural your connection with Jessie was. But they thought it was just they you were good together and not that you had years of history.
"So… you and Jessie are pretty cozy," Magda said as you sat beside her in the bus. Those words made Sam and Pernille, who were sitting in front of you, perk up. They both stood up and turned around to look at you both. "I noticed that too," Sam said. "Me too," Pernille added. "We’re not cozy. We’re friendly. Now shut up because she’s two rows in front of you and she has really good hearing. She’s also not wearing her airpods," you said, slouching in your seat. "And you know this because you’re extremely observant or because you’re obsessed with her?" Sam teased.
You stood up and pushed Sam’s shoulders down, making her laugh loudly and drawing attention. "Shut up, Samantha," you breathed in her ear. "Yes mom," she said, rolling her eyes. "You’re older than me!"
The Blues went out to dinner than night after beating Leceister 5-0. You got a reservation to a Mexican place you all really liked. "You’ll love it here, it’s really good," you said to Jessie. "You know how much I like Mexican food," Jessie says, your voices low.
You walked into the place, the owner sat you down herself. She knew you all well, having served you multiple times throughout the years. You ordered tacos and leaned into Jessie who was sitting beside you to tell her how good the fish tacos were here. "They’re not too spicy either. I know you’re not big on the spice," you said to her.
Your interaction caught the eyes of your teammates who smiled too each other. "So. Fleming. Girlfriend? Boyfriend? Single?" Erin asked. Jessie turned bright red and shrunk her head into her shoulders. "Guys!" you hissed to the ground. "No it’s okay. Uhm… single. But… I haven’t dated anyone since my university days." Jessie said.
You tensed in your seat, pushing your shoulders back and biting your cheek. You didn’t know if she meant you, or if she had dated someone else. "But we broke up about two years ago." She added.
So it was you she was talking about. A small smile spread on your face, happy she hasn’t dated anyone else. But you let it fall quickly, catching yourself and cursing yourself. "Why?" Guro asked. "Guro! Magda control your children," you said. "Hey, you can play mother cause I’m off duty," the swede said, raising her beer in cheers.
You sighed loudly.
"She… she was going through family things," Jessie said. "I was too much for her."
"No," you said, before you could stop yourself. Everyone looked at you. "I mean- don’t think that. Im sure she didn’t think you were too much. She was probably just… scared she wouldn’t give you the attention you deserved."
Jessie held eye contact with you, nodding gently. "Maybe. If you say so."
"How about you, y/n? Anyone special. Saw that you often talk to Batlle after we play Man U," Sophie asked you.
You have the girls a 'what are you up too?' look that they ignored. "Ona is a friend. She’s very nice but she’s… not someone I’m interested in," you said, avoiding eye contract with Jessie at all costs. "And who are you interested in?"
This time, Niahm was the one asking the question. She was sat next to you and you looked over at her. "I had a relationship a while back and I wasn’t a good girlfriend. I’m not interested in anyone."
Lie.
But no one questioned it as the food arrived and the hungry group focused on the amazing meal before them.
"Smooth," Jessie whispered in your ear, her breath tickling your neck.
You found yourself with your heart pounding, and your thighs squeezed together.
One week later
"You and Fleming. That’s our pitch."
Sam, Guro and Erin had ran up to you as you drank water after training. They had told you they had an idea.
"No." you said sternly, sitting down on the bench and taking off your shin pads. "Yes!! Please! Magda, Pernille, Millie and Aniek are talking to her about it right now. You would be so cute together, we’re begging you. Just go out on one date," Sam said.
"Guys…" you groaned, taking off your cleats and putting on your slides, your socks bunched at your ankles. "Why not? We have team bonding tonight but tomorrow… you guys could go… well I don’t know where you two nerds would want to go too but please," Guro said.
"No! Please- I. Listen. Jessie is…" you pursed your lips together, not knowing what to say. "Jessie is beautiful. And she’s smart and funny and cute but I’m not good for her. You need to drop it. And tell the other girls that too."
You stood up and walked inside to the locker rooms. Some of the girls who weren’t meddling in yours and Jessie’s possible relationship were changing. "Mills, meeting at your house at 6:00?" you asked the defender. "Yeah. See you there," Millie said.
She left the room and you followed suite a minute after. As you opened the door, Jessie and the group that had gone to talk to her we’re coming back. "You guys would be so-"
Aniek’s words got cut off as she saw you. You held your gaze with them for a second before shaking your head and walking away in the other direction.
You arrived at Millie’s late, cursing the fact that your car was so old and shitty. "I’m so sorry," you said to Magda as she opened the door. "But I brought wine and it’s good wine," you added, holding up the bottle. "Then all is forgiven," she said, hugging you gently. "Sorry about the Fleming ambush," she said as you both pulled away. "It’s all good," you said as you took off your jordan’s.
You guys walked into Millie’s oddly large living room. You took a seat on the floor, leaning against the couch, and Magda sat on the side of her girlfriends lap. "Okay while you were out doing god knows what-" Sam started saying. "My car broke down," you interrupted. "Didn’t ask," Sam said, making you and the room giggle. "As I was saying, when you weren’t here we each wrote two questions and two dares and put it in this horrifying hat-" Sam started to explain. "Hey! That’s my boyfriends hat," Millie pouted. "Yeah and it’s ugly. So. Point of the game is literally just truth or dare but every time you don’t want to do something you have to take a shot."
Sam showed you a bottle of tequila and waved in the direction of a few shot glasses. "Wait but I brought wine. It was like 30 pound wine," you said. "Why does it seem like you’re 30?" Guro teased as you scrunched your face at her.
"Whatever. Let’s start." You laughed.
20 minutes into the game, you had stayed relatively safe. You had gotten a dare card that made you have to ditch a piece of clothing, but you had a tank top under your hoodie anyways. Niahm had to sit on your lap for two rounds and you had been asked truths like 'biggest fear' and ‘player you secretly hate"
It was all fun. That is until it was your turn again.
You grabbed the hat, Niahm finally being able to get out of your lap. "Okay then…" you said, reaching into it and feeling around.
You pulled out a slip of paper and opened it dramatically. You read the words and then shook your head. "Nope. Give me the tequila," you said, reaching out for the bottle. "Wait! You have to tell us what it says first," Pernille said, trying to grab the paper. "Hey! Hands off!" you giggled, letting yourself fall backwards to get out of the blondes reach. You laid on your back as you read the words. "It says 'tell us the story of how you lost your virginity.' And I am not doing that."
You sat back up to the girls booing you. "Oh be mature!" you scowled, noticing Jessie blushing in the corner. "Ohhh I get it." Guro said, smiling to herself. "Get what?" you asked, your heart racing quicker than it should. "You’re a 25 year old virgin. It’s okay! No need to be embarrassed." Guro said, making the room laugh.
"I am not!" You said, trying to defend yourself. "Then prove it. Tell us the story." Erin said. "You know we’ve known you for forever and we barely know anything about you from your years before Chelsea," Pernille added.
You locked eyes with Jessie briefly, who nodded once. "Okay. Now before you guys judge me too harshly, let’s remember that I grew up in Milton Keynes and everybody was straight. Yes I knew Leah, yes I was deep in the closet till I was 22. And let’s also remember that I was solely focused of football. So I only lost my virginity when I went to university. I went to Stanford and played for the football team there. I met a girl… she played for UCLA and we started dating," you said, starting your story.
"Oh! Did Jessie know her?" Guro asked. "Let me finish my story!" you said to the Norwegian. "Anyways. As I said, we started dating. I was 19, turning 20 soon and she was 18. I was never big on hookups, I always wanted my first time to be special. So when I started dating the UCLA girl, and when I started falling in love with her, I knew I wanted to do it with her. Two months into our relationship, she came to Stanford and we had sex in my dorm room. And it was great although she did kick me in the face accidentally as I was taking her pants off," you said, laughing and smiling quickly at Jessie. "And that’s the story. It’s not very interesting," you said.
"Oh I think it’s very interesting," Magda said. Your gaze crossed hers and you looked at her, realizing immediately that she knew. "I-." you stuttered but she shook her head no. Magda did not meddle.
"Wait a second… oh my god," Niahm said. "Y/n… there was a team bonding you couldn’t come too because you were sick last month. We played this game and Jessie got that question. She said the exact same story but from the other persons perspective. She said that she dated an older Stanford girl and that she kicked her in the face during-"
"YOUR GIRLFRIEND WAS JESSIE?!" Sam yelled, standing up and looking absolutely flabbergasted.
You laughed and smiled at her. "Bingo," you said.
The rest of the night was spent with the girls asking a thousand questions and then finally, you convinced them to keep the game going. And it did. When jessie’s turn came, she picked out a paper. "Let the person on your left decide who… who you need to play seven minutes in heaven with."
And then suddenly, you were squished in a closet with Jessie. Her breath on your neck, her freckles somehow visible even in the darkness.
"Is it okay that I told them? I was just tired of them trying to set us up and it’s obvious you aren’t interested so-" you started saying. "What makes you say that?" Jessie asked, her eyebrows scrunching adorably. "Well. I don’t know. Are you?" you asked, a spark of hope in your heart. "I miss you. And i’m sorry about your dad. I wish I could have helped you through his death. I should have fought for you." Jessie said, every word coming with her warm breath on your collarbone, neck and jawline. "It’s okay," you said. "It’s not. I want to make it okay though," Jessie said, subtly sliding her hand beneath the waistband of your jeans and tracing patterns over the band of your underwear. "Then make it okay. Kiss me, Jess. For two years i’ve missed you and it’s all I’ve wanted since-"
She cut you off, placing her lips on yours and pushing your body into the back of the closet. A thump echoed and there was a moment of silence as you kissed that was broken by cheering from outside the closet. You both smiled into the kiss, the reminder of how well your lips fit together, sweet.

Runaway {Part 9}
Tumblr media
Runaway Masterlist
DNI/BYF
Ao'nung x Fem sully reader.
Synopsis: its been a long time. Far to long but Ao'nung makes you diner. Still in the courting phaze. Honestly its just little bit of fluff.
Ao’nung felt it. The water wasn't exactly like home. It was almost a little suffocating. But he figured since you adapted to his home he could adapt to this one.
He had been thankful that the first day here he had began marking it on his spear before translating it to a board. It had been exactly one year and six months. And he's done his best to keep track of dates. And if memory serves him right. It was almost his birthday too.
He would say courting has gone well.
Alongside all that he’s managed to adapt kind of well to the forest. Sure he sucks are climbing, he still can't hunt unless you help. And there are no Ikran here to tame. But hes made Progress with what you two had to work with.
His skin feels dryer than normal and he’s spending more time in the water. Which helped in making tools and collecting more food that way.
But you took notice of it too. Luckily for you on one day where he was deep into the lake. You manage to sneak into his hut. Finding the wood that he had been carving. And lucky for you. You also remembered what day his birthday fell on.
“What are you doing in here?”
“Ao’nung! God i swear one day im going to drop dead from fright” You poke.
The little pod was nothing like back home. And you could tell it could use some work.
“Just came to see if i can help fix up your little area a little. All i have to worry bout is my hammock so i thought you may want me to fix it up a little?”
He rose a brow before sighing. “Sure. I mean i know this place is falling apart too”
“Plus i have a slug coating that can help with the wood rot.” You commented back.
He smiled. Extending his hand out. In it a small but shiny crystal. One that he had made sure to polish and refine to perfection.
“For you”
“Ao’nung..Where did you find this?”
“There’s surprisingly a lot of stuff at the bottom of this lake”
Now When he had first began to court you He had no one to talk to. But he did remember Lo’ak asking him how to go about courting his sister. So he had a minor clue on your courting rituals not being the same.
And he was a little bit reluctant to ask you. But you had told him however he wants to, You are more than willing to accept his courting rituals.
You took notice of the hole that he most likely drilled into the stone. Smiling, taking the hand you wove it into your hair.
“Ao’nung your hand..”
Ao’nung quickly took his hand away from yours. “Its nothing”
“Does it hurt?”
His hands were dry and blistering. Slightly red at his knuckles and finger tips. “No. Kind of”
“You should have told me”
“I didnt want you to worry any more than you have”
“Ao’nung”
You grabbed his hand. Careful with the blisters as you gently peppered them with kisses. “Prepare me a fire, please?”
“What for?”
“Well, i still have year of Tsahik training under my knowledge. Not to mention we are in the forest”
Ao’nung rolled his eyes, smirking a little as he could only help but sigh. “Alright alright fine. Just be safe alright?”
“Dont worry love. Ill be back soon” You bid him a quick goodbye before heading off again.
Ao’nung was glad you hadn’t looked more into the place. He had been working hard on making you the greatest meal he could make. Cooking or preparing food wasn’t his strong suit. But watching his mother and Tsireya for so many years he picked up a thing or two.
He figured you were also tired of the Teylu and the fish he could gather. Lucky for him he had found fruits a while ago and had planted only two. It had borne good fruit and he was Glad. He wanted to try some more.
He was glad too that Kiri had showed him your Omatikaya spiciest dish.
You were taking your time. But he was glad too for the food was ready by the time he had finally seen you come by.
“Ao’nung… Oh! What’s this all about?”
“ I thought you may like if i prepared food for you this time”
You smiled Sitting next to him as you looked at the fire and the food. “I love it thank you”
Ao’nung handed you his hands. But not before giving you a new Clay Bowl.
It had been like this since you two ran off. You would provide the highest amount of food, And he would provide the materials. Given that he had better access to it. But he wanted to bring up a point tonight.
So while you began to mash the paste and wrap his hands he decided to speak.
“Do you think. Maybe you could teach me to hunt some more?”
“I can. But are you sure? I mean you have been spending a lot more time in the water”
“I want to provide more for you. How will you accept me if i do not?”
“I have accepted you a long time ago dear Ao’nung”
Ao’nung didn’t know if it was because of the lack of people. But you had been so bold. And it made him more reserved.  Shy which he never was. It made his heart beat for you more.
“If you want to know, I can teach you. But Know that im okay with the system we have”
“I like to provide. But i will admit it was fun to cook” Ao’nung admitted.
You smiled. Kissing his hands as you noticed that his skin on his legs was also cracking.
He looked so dry compared to the amount of time he was spending in the water. It concerned you and you made yourself a mental note to make more paste just in case it ever bled.
You also took this as a good way to make sure he was eating. Giving he looked a little more sunken in than usual
“Alright alright you big baby ill teach you”  You could only smile.
Laying down next to each other wasn’t uncommon but it was often that you didn't do this. Staring out into the sky. It was nice to see it. To feel the wind pass you by. To let the wonders of pandora engulf you.
“What is that?” Ao’nung commented, making you look at what had gingerly landed on his hand.
“Atokirina” You let out a gasp as you took a look at the wood sprite that had landed on Ao’nung.
Little by little and one by one they surrounded you two. Engulfing you in a light show you could only dream of.
Feeling like the young adults you were two years ago when Ao’nung had told you those sweet nothings.
“There must be a tree of souls nearby,” you commented. Laughing a little as you watched them leave.
“We should go find it one day” Ao’nung suggested.
“No. It is sacred to another clan. It would be rude if we did so”
Ao’nung could only laugh at your words.
—----------------------------------------------
“One year Tonowari” Ronal spoke through her tired voice. All this time she had wept for her son. She often stayed in her pod helping when needed and leaving when left alone.
Her voice lost its fierce strength and now it was tired. Strained and harsh because she had grown so tired of it. Tired of wanting to understand why Ao’nung had left.
But she knew. She knew too well and she oftentimes found herself upset for  not making an effort to understand her son’s devotion to you.
“I know Ma Ronal”
“What is this Tonowari” she spoke. She was so worried. And whilst she blamed you in the beginning. She was worried for you too. It was like having another Daughter. For Eywa’s sakes
She had accepted Lo’ak to Court Tsireya as to not lose her too. Oftentimes she found herself by the spirit tree. Wondering, asking for their safe return. Asking her that if you two return, she will happily take you two back. No matter the costs.
Ateyo had grown so quickly and she was missing out on her oldest son.
She would clean his spear, his nets and anything just so that if he were to come back. He would be coming back to what was normal.
Oftentimes Tonowari found her. Reliving the memories of Ao’nung. Like a baby he was. Like the young boy he was. The Kid Ronal Adored so much now that he was gone. He too prayed to Eywa for your return soon. For it broke his heart to much to see her in such pain.

Wardrobe Malfunction
summary: you’ve worn the wrong clothes to school today, but Eddie is there to rescue you w/c: 695 warnings: swearing, use of pet names (sweetheart) a/n: I just needed this to exit my brain honestly. I saw this post and then @kokoshka67 said something about it and yeah
You were panicking. You hadn’t expected to have to be in the lab today, the teacher had told the entire class it would be further down the line and yet when you’d walked into class this morning Mrs Campbell had announced you’d all be working ahead of schedule.
Which is why you were currently in the faculty bathroom trying to reach your mom who wasn’t answering her cell. You just needed someone to bring you a pair of pants so you could actually participate in class and not just fail outright because today of all days you chose to wear a skirt.
“Fuck fuck fuck” you paced the bathroom and chewed on the nail of your thumb, “what am I gonna do?”
“Not to eavesdrop or anything but I might have a solution” a boys voice called from one of the stalls. You hadn’t even known anyone else was in the bathroom, Mrs Campbell had given you special permission to use the bathroom to try and call your mom.
As the door opened and Eddie Munson walked out you stopped chewing on your thumbnail for a moment to answer him,
“What do you mean?”
“Well. The way I see it you need pants, I happen to be wearing a pair today”
“I don’t get it. Are you telling me you’re gonna give me your pants?”
“That’s exactly what I’m saying. Well more of a trade really”
“A trade?” you quirked an eyebrow at the strange look on Eddie’s face,
“Sure sweetheart. I’ll let you wear my pants for lab and you can give me your skirt for English and we’ll swap back after. If you want”
You could only imagine the look on your face to be some sort of comical shock by the way Eddie laughed,
“Why would you help me? You don’t even know me!”
“Call it my good deed for the month” Eddie laughed, “so what do you say? Wanna trade?”
“You’re crazy Munson” you laughed, Eddie already reaching for the zipper on his jeans, “alright, let’s trade”
«────── « ⋅ʚ♡ɞ⋅ » ──────»
What you hadn’t expected after your impromptu bathroom swap was Eddie Munson confidently strutting down the hallways of Hawkins High in your skirt drawing all the attention away from your ill fitting jeans.
If anyone was curious about where you’d squired the new bottom half of your clothing they didn’t say anything. Or rather Mrs Campbell didn’t give them time to.
After class it did occur to you that you didn’t know where Eddie’s English class was so you could swap back, you were grateful for the jeans but you did want your skirt back since it actually fit you properly.
You asked around and found Eddie outside the school on an old bench behind the football field,
“You know I think I might have to get a few of these” Eddie said instead of hello, “I feel so mobile” he demonstrated his new found mobility with an imitation of a cheerleading high kick which made you laugh loudly when he lost his balance and fell onto the grass below,
“Might be a little advanced for you” you said in between laughing, “maybe you should give me the skirt back”
“What if I wanna trade something again?” Eddie said with a smirk, “what then?”
“What else do you want to trade?” you asked, “notes in class?”
“How about a date?”
“A date?”
“Yeah. You can pick what you wanna trade it for”
You couldn’t help but laugh again. Eddie seemed so earnest,
“Alright, I'll trade for a date. How about my number?”
“Seems like a fair trade to me sweetheart”
“I still want my skirt back” you told him as you input your number into his phone,
“I don’t know. Seeing you in my clothes is really doing it for me” Eddie whispered in your ear making the hair on the back of your neck stand up, “but I’m a gentleman, gotta get that date first” he said stepping away and holding up his hands
“Dork” you laughed again. You hadn’t anticipated this is how your day would turn out but you were happier than ever you’d chosen to wear a skirt that morning.

Stained Hearts & Dark Desires
Chapter 1 Unexpected Reunions
Tumblr media
Summary: Our story begins 7 years after the events of their 5th year at Hogwarts. Ominis and Sebastian check on Anne, who has been suspiciously silent for some time. Unexpectedly a long time enemy falls right into their hands.
Word count: 3.4k words
Rating: MATURE!!! 18+ (NO MINORS!!!)
Warnings: Violent thoughts and Slight mentions of murder but very brief
Chapter: 2,
“It's unlike Anne to not respond to your owls, Ominis.” Sebastian expressed his concerns. He took long strides in hopes to move faster towards Anne’s little cottage in Feldcroft. She had wanted to leave the cottage all together after what he had done, but having only been fifteen, and a female with no other living relatives willing to take her in, she had to stay, lest be an orphan on the streets.
With Ominis’s help, Anne was able to completely change the interior of the cottage, making it feel like a completely different home. With that and keeping her distance from Sebastian for the first three years, Anne was able to move on with her life. Sebastian wasn’t sure why, but after those three years, Anne finally wrote him a letter stating she’d be willing to slowly let him back in, but still held him responsible for their Uncle’s death.
Sebastian never felt more grateful than he did at that moment. He swore he’d never hurt her ever again like that. He has been working hard, at Anne’s pace of course, to win her back. She occasionally responded to his owls, but always responded to Ominis’s. It was fair, so he didn’t let his jealousy take hold of him; he understood the reason.
It was only recently when Ominis had sent his usual owl about their endeavors, that they realized Anne hadn’t sent a response in over a week. Usually Anne’s owl only took a few days, a week at most, but her replies were often consistent, unlike now. Which led them to where they were today, fastly approaching Anne’s cottage in hopes to find her in her living room going about her day. Due to prior engagements with the Ministry, they were unable to arrive in Feldcroft before sunset.
“I agree. Let’s hope she simply has not gotten around to sending her response yet.” Ominis was trying to stay positive, but Sebastian could tell from the look on his face, he was just as worried as he was. They quickly rushed to that familiar cottage with a lovely garden out front. Upon closer arrival, it was a little on the unmaintained side. Not quite fully neglected, but both the boys knew Anne enjoyed keeping her garden well maintained. If Anne was gone, she hadn’t been gone long.
“The garden is not as pristine as it should be,” Sebastian pointed out for Ominis.
“Perhaps she fell sick?” Ominis offered as he headed towards the front door. Sebastian close behind.
“Doubtful.” Even if she was sick, Anne could be as stubborn as Sebastian. She often thought since she survived through her curse, she could get through anything. Nothing stopped her from living her life anymore, not even something like illnesses.
It was dark inside, and much to their dismay, lifeless. Ominis walked over to the fireplace, while Sebastian ran to the bedroom upstairs. The bed was perfectly made and untouched. Everything was exactly where it had always been.
“The fireplace hasn’t been used in awhile.” Ominis called out. Feeling the suffocating anxiety building up inside, he quickly marched down the stairs.
“The bed hasn’t been touched either. Damn it!” Sebastian cursed.
“My wand isn’t depicting any signs of a struggle, perhaps she left of her volition?”
“Without telling either of us? Where could she have gone?”
Before Ominis could say anything, a loud thump filled the eerily quiet cottage. It was muffled as it must have come from outside.
“Outside. Quick!” Ominis quickly began to run out of the house. Sebastian right on his heels, headed for the source of the sound. Racing around the cottage, Sebastian spotted a woman not too far, running towards the forest line.
“Ominis!”
“I hear her!”
They both took off after her, Sebastian casting Arrest Momentum, but the woman rolled out of the way while turning to face them to throw a depulso back at him. Ominis was quick enough with pretago to block the spell, thankfully.
“It’s that woman Anne had over a while back!” Sebastian exclaimed as he threw out shots to stop her escape. She was clearly an expert at blocking the basic casts, throwing pretgo up at the right moments.
He recognized Penelope’s wavy long blonde hair, and piercing green eyes immediately. He had only met her once and it was over a year ago. Their first introduction had been pleasant, nothing out of the ordinary. She was overly friendly and apparently a fan of the both of them, but nothing all that strange. Thanks to the Daily Prophet, they had made quite the name for themselves.
Sebastian and Ominis chased Penelope into the forest, the woman avoiding all of their spells. She occasionally threw out a few spells herself, most of them being on the defensive side. Spells meant to slow or stop the opponent such as depulso, and glacius. She wasn’t really acting on the offense, only trying to get away. Something he wasn't going to let happen.
Finally getting close enough, Ominis casted the blasting curse at the closest tree to her, sending the large tree crumbling down in front of her. Pieces of the tree shot out towards her, knocking her slightly off balance while she shielded her face from the chunks. Taking the opportunity, Sebastian threw out the Incarcerous charm towards her. He watched the rope fly towards Penelope as she attempted to move out of the way after just barely gaining her composure. It wrapped itself around her legs, forcing her to fall backward down a slope off to the side.
“Got her!” Sebastian exclaimed victoriously.
“Good job, Sebastian!” Ominis quickly slid down the slope side, to reach her at the small clearing she had landed in. He quickly summoned her wand away from her, successfully cornering her. Sebastian, upon arriving noticed her little bag she carried had fallen off during her tumble. Some of her belongings laid out in the open off to the side. But what caught his eye was the faint glimpse of a mask poking out. Keeping her in his line of sight, he went over to her bag to find that the mask was an all too familiar one. A pale porcelain mask shined brightly, practically glowing in the moonlight. It had a few scratches here and there but otherwise remained well polished. This was the mask of the very dark wizard they had been hunting. A mask that often taunted Ominis and him whenever they had nearly captured the damn criminal. In a fury, he picked up the mask and marched closer to the woman. Why in Merlin’s beard did she have that blasted mask?!
“Where is Anne?” Ominis questioned.
“Ominis.” Sebastian handed the mask to him, never taking his eyes off the criminal.
Those same piercing green eyes just glared at the both of them remaining silent. Penelope had already taken the ropes off her ankles but knew she was cornered so made no move. Not once did she glance at the mask or her belongings, only focused on the two of them.
“So you’re the Masked Wizard,” Ominis spat, tossing the mask towards her.
“Where’s Anne!?”
She sat there for a moment, contemplating her next choice of words before ultimately sighing, and giving up.
“I..don’t know.”
“What do you mean?” Sebastian hissed, stepping closer threateningly. She didn’t even flinch, just held his glare with her own, despite being below him.
“I mean I. Don’t. Know.” Penelope repeated with venom lacing her voice.
“What were you doing at her house then?” Ominis interrogated.
“Same thing as you. Looking for Anne. She hasn't responded to my recent owls, and she was supposed to meet up with me but failed to show.” She explained as her eyebrows deepened with what Sebastian imagined to be faux concern.
“Please. What does a lowly criminal like you want with my sister?” Sebastian demanded. How stupid he was not realizing how much danger Anne had been all this time. The very criminal they were after had been pen pals with his sister, even meeting up for biscuits and tea! She could’ve threatened them with Anne at any time, or worse. She could’ve taken the last person he called family away from him. Merlin, he could kill her for that.
That very thought reminded him how he still hadn’t changed from his old ways. He knew better for sure, but still had that side of him buried, always trying to claw its way back out. That vile, disgusting part of him that was fueled by emotion and arrogance. He felt he was battling it everyday.
She just sneered at his remark, yet said nothing in return. Her own hatred filled those emerald eyes. Her own darkness taking hold of her. Something oddly familiar to him.
“Does she know who you are?” Ominis appeared to be very calm, but Sebastian knew better than anyone. He was on the verge of doing something on par with Sebastian’s own mistakes. Ominis was typically the most leveled headed of the two of them, but when involving the ones he loves, he was willing to do anything. It was something that had become more apparent when…she died. It was like something changed that day in Ominis. He still had his reservations about the unforgivables but became more motivated to do what is necessary to protect his loved ones. Even if it meant doing something unforgivable. Not to mention that if Penelope was truly the Masked Wizard, Ominis and Sebastian had unfinished business.
Something shifted in Penelope’s eyes, almost hesitating on what to say, but Sebastian crouched to her level, hoping to give her the appropriate motivation.
“Answer the question, or we’ll be taking a nice trip to Azkaban.” Her expression quickly darkened in response. As if closing off immediately, her eyes turned cold, devoid of any emotion aside from anger. She wasn't glaring per se, but her body language and eyes held no warmth.
“Do that, and Anne dies.” She immediately responded, not a second's hesitation. She spoke so confidently, as if what she said wasn’t anything other than pure fact. Before Ominis could even think of interfering, Sebastian snapped his arm out towards her.
“Sebastian!” Ominis called out, but it fell on deaf ears. This bitch was threatening Anne and he wasn’t going to let it slide. He didn’t give a damn how reckless it was.
“What did you do to my sister?!” He held her by the collar, holding her close but not enough to make her fall forward. Her shirt threatened to tear under his iron grip. He had half the mind to grip her by the throat.
He shot that thought down immediately. He needed to keep some control. He felt at war with himself. He hated how he momentarily he lost control, and yet part of him couldn't care less. She was asking for it and had been threatening his twin's life. How did someone remain calm in that kind of situation?
“You always fly off the handle? I expected more from the Ministry's golden boy” She snickered viciously at him, tuanting him. Ominis stood next to him, holding his shoulder firmly but gently. Unspokely trying to calm him down like he always did, and it was working. Sebastian gripped her collar tighter before fighting off his temper and dropping her like a sack of potatoes.
Stepping back, Ominis stood between him and her. Sebastian knew it was for his safety not hers. They didn't know what she was capable of even without her wand, and he was acting like a fool. Again. Part of him was off having a pity party, while the other half was telling him to focus. Anne was the most important thing now, not him and his lack of control. Three years of training wasn’t going to go to waste. He was better than that.
“Elaborate exactly what you mean Anne will die if you go to prison?” Ominis threatened.
“Exactly that. She’s cursed.” She repeated nonchalantly.
“No. That was cured years ago by a friend of ours that you killed.” Ominis corrected. Mentioning her death by the Masked Wizard had turned his voice menacing. It was terrifying when Ominis was really mad. It wasn’t something he often turned on Sebastian, but when he did, Sebastian felt his sins crawling on his back. She, too, must have sense that since that left her faltering for a moment. An unreadable expression appeared on her face but quickly vanished, returning to its empty stare once more.
“You call her your friend?”
“Watch it.” Sebastian warned. Ominis and Sebastian didn’t talk about her, but Edith’s death was something they carried with them everywhere, every day of their lives. It was something the both of them regretted. Part of them knew that if they had just tracked her down sooner, they possibly could have prevented her death. They had so many things that needed to be said, to be answered, and they all died with her that day on the cliffside.
Penelope just let out a breathless chuckle that held no true amusement behind it. It was more of a laugh of disbelief.
“You are avoiding the subject. Anne has been cured for years, so please explain how she needs you?” Ominis steered the conversation back to Anne and away from Edith. She shot Ominis a look that could kill while locking her jaw. Sebastian wasn’t sure what the point was in keeping her secrets now. She was caught, and either way, she was going to Azkaban. The Ministry had their ways to get information, remaining silent was futile.
“Anne…was…never fully cured.” She spoke like trying to get the words out was physically a challenge for her. She didn’t even look at them as she spoke. She turned her gaze to the ground, glaring as if it had been the source of her ire. Neither of them said anything, not wanting to interrupt the woman. They waited for Penelope to continue and were rewarded for their patience.
“I…that person didn’t cure Anne, not completely,” It didn’t escape either of them how she changed her words mid sentence, “She came up with a solution, yes, but a temporary one. One that needs constant tending to. If left unattended for long periods of time, the curse will retaliate against the temporary cure, causing Anne excruciating pain enough to kill her.” She explained, not looking up her fists in the dirt.
“And why should we believe a word you say?” Sebastian spat at her. There was no way this could be true. Anne would’ve told them, told Ominis at least. Keeping a secret like this for years? Why keep something important like that secret?! It made no sense. Anne may not have trusted Sebastian but she trusted Ominis and from the looks of it even Ominis wasn’t aware of this. Peneloe had to be lying to save herself.
She took in a deep breath before sitting up and glaring back at the both of them. Ominis eyebrows deepened as her appearance began to alter. Sebastian felt his stomach drop, and all his hatred, his confusion momentarily slipped away as her once golden hair slowly turned dark. It became black as the shadows around, while a part underneath and a stripe in the front became white as the moon. Familiar faint freckles dusted her cheeks and neck. Even physically, her form changed to a slightly smaller one, as her clothes hung just a tad bagger on her. Her emerald eyes turned a bright, vicious crimson color; something very different from the color she had growing up.
Sebastian felt like he couldn’t breathe right, his chest tightening to an unbearable amount. He had to be seeing a ghost. She died. She was murdered by the Masked Wizard. It was all over the daily prophet how the junior savior of Hogwarts was murdered. They even held a memorial for her at Hogwarts to honor her. This was a lie. A sick trick.
“Sebastian..”
“This is a trick! How dare you masquerade as her!” Sebastian marched towards Penelope. Edith just rose from the ground never backing down from him. She was like a perfect replica of her, matching how much shorter she would be compared to him. Everything was perfect right down to even the way she smelled. As much as he hated it, he was close enough for the scent to hit him. It was an old familiar smell she had when they went to Hogwarts together. Something earthy and floral, while being so refreshing it could comfort anyone who smelled it. Memories of a time long since past flooded his brain. All bittersweet now.
“Deny it all you want, Sallow but this is no trick. I never died.” Her voice came out just as he remembered it. Confident, yet gentle on his ears. He easily recalled all the times that voice called his name.
Ominis immediately picked up on her voice as well. He even forced himself closer with his wand pulsing that red light, trying to pick up any image it could to confirm what he was hearing. His expression was one of disbelief and fear. He knew Ominis couldn’t bear it if this truly was a trick. He hoped for it to be true. But Sebastian refused to be hurt by her if it was a bastard scheme to lower their guard.
“Then what was all that, huh? Why go through all that trouble?!” He stepped back, not wanting to be anywhere near her. Not when she looked like that.
“I needed to get the Ministry off my back. I was already wanted for petty crimes, might as well add murder to the list.” Edith retaliated.
“A likely story, though I'd say the use of Unforgivables doesn't qualify as petty crimes.” Sebastian rolled his eyes, ticking her off even more. Good. He wanted to get under her skin. Get her to lose her temper instead and trip up in her lie.
“You would think that, Sallow.” She narrowed her eyes, hinting at something Edith would know. His own eyes narrowing yet his heart thumped in his chest. Could it possibly be…?
“How can you prove you truly are Edith?” Ominis took a step back as well, catching on, “As Sebastian said, could easily be a trick. An appearance altering charm.” The words left Ominis’s lips, yet he tried to hide his hopefulness with his cold deamnor. Sebastian could see it, though.
“Believe it or don't. But if you send me to Azakban, I mean it. Anne will die. The curse will retaliate against my magic and will attack her with years of pent-up magic. It will kill her.” Edith stressed. It was very convincing. He could see how this would be a perfect lie to get her out of Azkaban, but if the off chance she was telling the truth…he wasn’t going to risk Anne’s life.
“Prove it.”
“What? That it’ll kill Anne?!”
“No! Prove you are telling the truth, and Edith really didn’t die that day! Tell me something only Edith would know.” Sebastian demanded. If he really was going to let her go, he needed to be sure this wasn’t a trick. Ominis needed to be sure as well.
She stood there for a moment, a long moment. It was agonizingly long. Each second felt like an itch under his skin, somewhere unreachable, and it was maddening. It didn't help that her face remained expressionless, giving off no hints as to what she was thinking.
“Somewhere underneath Hogwarts is Salazar Sythrin’s scriptorium. To get to the scriptorium, an unforgivable must be performed. Ominis wouldn’t do it, and you chastised him for it. So I performed it for you.” she finally spoke, her words cold and slow. Each word had both of them holding their breath, time coming to a halt.
Their adventures to the scriptorium was something they kept between the three of them. Ominis thought it best not to advertise that place to any other student getting ideas, despite the spell book being destroyed. They didn't want some unfortunate student to end up like Ominis’s aunt Noctua.
“You said, we’d regret performing the Cruciatus curse for the rest of our lives, Onimis. But I never regretted performing it on you Sbeastian.” She held her head high as her words stabbed at him, each dealing a painful blow.
“I wanted you to feel the pain Ominis had gone through, in hopes you’d learn something. Didn’t amount to much in the end did it?” She chuckled humorlessly.
It felt like the world had just halted for the both of them, and all that was there was her. Despite how cold and heartless her words were, it was her. She was alive, and they finally found her. She was breathing, blood running through her veins, alive. Sebastian swore he could almost cry.
“Edith…?”
So I'm determined to write a fic, whether its here or somewhere else. I have plans. This is where the story starts. Its a fic thatd be from different POVs between the 3 of them and majority of it takes place 5 years after their 7th year with flashbacks. Also I don't think someone like Sebastian just changes but he is working hard everyday to be better.
(New note) this fic will be mature rating. There will eventually be smut but not for good long while. This more of a slowburn mystery dark academia romance *im new to mystery so gimme a chance*
I hope you guys enjoyed it!!! I worked really hard. May improve on it but for now enjoy (≧◡≦)

Thinking about Lilith and why she brought her lover back with the divine fruit. Cause for all intents and purposes they probably would've just gone to heaven. I mean, if anything Lilith would just have to scoop up their soul and up to heaven they go. But, what if the way her lover died was so horrible and grievous that Lilith panicked and brought down the divine fruit. what if this is the first time Lilith saw someone die.
There are a few parts to this, but as a quick first clarification -- Lilith would not be scooping up anyone's soul haha. We know there are reapers, such as Thirteen, and their job is to scoop up the souls and...well, it's not exactly clear what happens to the souls from there.
(Nightbringer spoilers through Lesson 12 below the cut)
Of course, presumably they should be going to heaven/hell, but we've never actually had that confirmed, beyond a sarcastic comment from Lucifer implying that death would mean going back to the Celestial Realm. But for all we know, the Celestial Realm could be for only angels to live in, with "heaven" for dead souls being something completely separate and inaccessible to them. Or, oddly enough for what seems to be a mostly Christianity-based universe, there's also been at least one mention of rebirth -- though again, that's not actually explained in depth, so that could be something exclusive to immortals?
Tumblr media
As to whether this is the first time Lilith has seen someone die, another slight clarification -- her lover had not actually died yet when she brought the fruit. What happened was that he fell gravely ill and was going to die, and the fruit essentially stopped that illness, preventing his death rather than bringing him back from the dead.
Now, with those things clarified, we think she was probably familiar with the concept of death, but yes, it would make sense that this is the first time someone she personally cared about was going to die. And from what we can tell, souls don't just chill in the Devildom or Celestial Realm after death with the demons and angels. Thinking back to the times MC has been sent back to the Celestial Realm of the past, MC is just assumed to be a lost angel each time, and the possibility of being a dead human's soul doesn't even occur to any of them. When Belphie thinks that MC seems to be a human, his brothers immediately dismiss the idea outright.
Tumblr media
Considering that, it seems supported that the Celestial Realm, or at least where the angels live, is only for angels, not dead souls, and likely vice versa. That being the case, the death of Lilith's lover would have been very much like death as we humans understand it -- gone forever, apart from us. Furthermore, Lilith is an immortal angel, so unlike when we imagine that souls may meet again after death, she would never die like a human, and thus would never go to that same post-death place! So rather than thinking of it as him being in the Celestial Realm with her, it may have been more like they would never meet again.
However, it may actually be overcomplicating things to try to think all the post-death stuff through. At the end of the day, it is simply not easy to watch someone you love die from illness. It's a very natural reaction to want to help them. It could very well just be that Lilith hated seeing someone she loved suffering in pain from this illness, knew she had the power to do something about it, and chose to go ahead and do it, consequences be damned. Like, at this point, we have seen her described as someone who was unafraid of anyone, to a strange and arguably borderline stupid extent -- this is the same angel who just bluntly told Michael to his face that he reminded her of a jellyfish. She was bold.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Considering that aspect of her personality, it would make total sense if she simply decided that she wasn't afraid of the potential consequences from their father and just did what she wanted, which was to save her beloved.
In an interesting bit of hypocrisy, however, we did learn in Nightbringer Lesson 12 that Lilith, like Solomon, actually argued that humans were better than they were given credit for, and that angels and demons shouldn't be interfering with them!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
With that in mind, it's highly ironic that her downfall was actually for directly interfering with a human's life for the sake of extending it. Though, did Solmare think that fully through before deciding that she shared that view? Who knows.

Star-daughter 3/?
Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4
* Elwing is not a doting mother, exactly, but she is fiercely protective of her family. She has lost too many people not to fight tooth and nails for the ones she has left. And so, when a Maia of Námo comes to her tower she holds her ground.
* She stands very straight in her doorway, barring the way to her family. Elwing isn’t short but the Maia is still a head taller than her; it doesn’t keep her from looking down at them.
* “What brings you here?” she asks, cold and sharp as the Grinding Ice.
* The Maia nods in greeting. I bring no ill news, daughter of Lúthien. Their voice is more thought than sound, wafting through Elwing’s mind like a cool mist.
* She glares at the messenger, waiting for them to get to the point. There is a reason Elwing avoids Maiar as much as she can, save for the followers of Ulmo; none of them can give a straight answer or speak plainly.
* My Lord Námo sends for you, the Maia says at last. To welcome someone back to life as their closest kind.
* Elwing’s icy facade cracks at the news and she digs sharp nails into her palms to keep her composure. “All of my kin on these shores lives here or on Tol-Eresseä,” she replies sharply. “The rest of them is beyond my reach until the breaking of the world, as it was made clear when I first came here.”
* The Maia tilts their head to one side, seemingly thoughtful despite their features being hidden by a deep hood. And yet there is one who seeks you. Lord Námo would have him re-embodied before too long for his Halls are not a place for young souls to dwell in forever. His mother is not ready to leave, so it falls to you to welcome your brother back.
* Elwing slams her door to the Maia’s face and crumbles to the floor. Her brother. Only one of them. She doesn’t even know which one.
* As she sobs where she fell, she wishes Eärendil to be there, for her mother who will not walks amongst the living again.
* Someone wraps a blanket around her shoulders, picks her up, gently sets her on the sofa with a cup of warm tea. Elwing breathes through her mouth, blows her nose with the proffered handkerchief. At last she drinks the tea and looks up at Finrod who gives her a small smile.
* “I cannot do it,” she tells him. He knows, somehow. He was probably hovering just out of sight while she faced the Maia, ready to come and help.
* Finrod sighs tiredly and sits beside her, pulls her in a warm hug. Elwing tucks her head under his chin like a child and focuses on matching his breaths. “It will be hard,” Finrod says at long last. “Hard and painful and ugly, but if someone can do it it’s you, my dear friend. And I will be just behind you to help, Elrodel and Amdir too if I know your children at all. And Huan loves looking after little ones.“
* He is right of course. Infuriatingly so. And so, Elwing nods and goes to pack for the journey to the gardens of Lórien where the newly returned wait for their kin. Finrod keeps the tower for her and writes to her children who are currently visiting friends on Tol-Eresseä.
* Elwing rides on Huan’s back and, if not for the painful feeling in her chest, she could feel like she was living one of her grandmother’s adventures. Or maybe Lúthien was just as terrified as she is when she rode to find Beren…
* Lórien is a beautiful place, but Elwing cannot find any peace there as she is led by a butterfly-Maia to the place her brother awaits for her. She still doesn’t know which one and she won’t ask.
* In her heart she fears what it means that only one of them is returned. Has she lost yet another loved one to Mortality? She would call it a curse if it was not such blasphemy to the memory of her grandmother.
* They come to a halt as Elwing sees the little boy sitting in a clearing, his bare feet in a bubbling stream. She presses a hand to her mouth to stifle her cry and compose herself. This cannot be her older brother, he is so small and young! And yet. And yet this one of her older brother, for he looks like he walked out of the few precious memories she has of her family.
* The butterfly-Maia flies around the boy, Eluréd or Elurín she still doesn’t know, and perches on his outstretched hand. They must have said something in his mind for her brother turns back and looks at her.
* “You are not my mum!” he says, distress clear on his round face. “The butterfly said family would come for me! I want my mum!” his voice trails up in a high pitched whine and his eyes fill with tears. Elwing carefully comes to sit in the grass, not too close to him.
* “I am not your mum, indeed,” she says as softly as she can, her best reassuring smile plastered on her face like a mask while her heart thunders in her chest. “I know you can’t recognise me because a lot of time has passed while you were in Mandos but I am Elwing, your sister.” Her brother stares at her, clearly disbelieving, and Elwing swallows the lump in her throat. She can do this. Finrod told her and he is nearly always right.
* She breathes deeply before continuing, her hands lying outstretched in the grass. “I know it’s hard to believe, I didn’t believe the Maia who told me to come here at first. But I know mother is still in the Halls, as is grandfather Elu, and I was the only one who could come for you…”
* Her brother looks down and kicks his feet in the water. “You can’t be Elwing! My sister’s a baby!” he cries, voice trembling despite his anger. “I wasn’t in Mandos for that long and, anyway, I hate this place! I want to go home with mum and dad!” He is crying for good now, tears streaming down his face and shoulders shaking with heavy sobs.
* Elwing looks up at the leaves fluttering in the breeze, trying not to burst into tears herself. She is the adult here, and it is her role to comfort a distressed child; no matter the child is her older brother. She wishes for Eärendil to be here with her, for Finrod, anyone. But she has to do this alone.
* “I want to go home too,” she says slowly. “But sometimes we can’t have what we want and have to be very brave about it. Do you remember when we had to move from grandad and grandma’s house to Menengroth? I was very small then and don’t remember much but I remember you took my hand and told me we were going on an adventure and I had to be brave about it.”
* The old, old memory hurts as she recalls it from the deepest corner of her memory and yet it soothes something in her at the same time. It feels like she is comforting her past self as well as her brother.
* Her brother looks up, face blotchy from crying and a strange expression on his face. “That’s Elurín who told you that,” he says. “I was looking for good sticks to make swords with so we could protect you. But you’re all grownup now and… and I want to go home with Elurín!”
* It is Eluréd then, Elwing notes as she leans toward her brother with her arms wide open. He throws himself at her, sobbing and leaving a wet, snotty spot on her shoulder. Elwing hugs her brother tightly, unable to hold her own tears back anymore.
* "I wish Elúrin was here too. I wish we were never parted, El,” she whispers in his soft silver hair. Where was her second brother? Did he choose the Gift of Men too? Is he sundered from her forever? She locks these thoughts away with her old grief for her father and for her son.
* “I can’t bring mum and dad back, nor our home, but I can show you my home now,” Elwing says at last. “I have children and friends who will be very happy to meet you.”
* Eluréd looks up at that. “You’ve got children?” he asks with wide eyes. At her nod he makes a face. “That means you got married! Ewww!” he cries.
* Elwing can’t help her sudden burst of laughter, loud and shrill. A flock of birds flies off from the tree above them as she laughs. “Oh, I reassure you, I’m not doing kissy-faces at Eärendil all day long! In fact, my husband is often away, but that is a long story. I will tell you all about him and our children on our way to my house. Now, why don’t we go to the edge of the gardens and eat something?”
* They walk out of Lórien as the sun sets and find Huan waiting for them where Elwing left him. The huge hound is laying on his side, tongue lolling out and seemingly perfectly happy. Eluréd gasps at the sight and grips Elwing’s hand tighter, looking between Huan and her with big round eyes.
* She gently nudges him forward. “Yes, it’s Huan from grandma’s stories. Go on, he’s been very excited to meet you!” Eluréd lets go of her hand and takes a few steps toward the hound before stopping, one hand outstretched.
* Huan looks up and boofs softly looking at Eluréd. His tail starts wagging and the little boy smiles at that, finally taking the final few steps and throwing himself at the hound for a hug. Huan’s tail picks up speed as he rolls on his back, Eluréd clinging to his belly, and playfully licks his face.
* Elúred shrieks in mixed joy and surprise and Elwing smiles through her tears. She knows it won’t be easy and many obstacles awaits them but she can see herself doing that now, raising her brother and learning to be a family again.

Bloody Beetle | Part Three
Tumblr media
Summary: a conversation with Harrow decides your fate
Pairing: this chapter is mostly Arthur Harrow x Reader
Word Count: 1.3k
Warnings: Manipulative Harrow/Lying Harrow. a LOT of artistic interpretation on Harrow’s abilities...
A/N: So sorry its been a year since I updated this story but im fully back on the Moon Knight hype right now and I actually have part four written, part five half written and the rest of this story *mostly* planned out! For the purposes of this story, lets just pretend Harrow has the ability to give people strength or make them need to sleep... As always, spelling and grammar are not my strongest skills so please be kind :)
Part Two | Series Masterlist
- - - - -
Nothing.
The first thing you notice when you wake up is that you feel nothing. No aches, no pain, no shortness of breath. Before you fell asleep you felt so weak, you weren’t sure you would even make it thought the night. And now here you are feeling better than you did before Harrow made you ill.
You get out of bed and go straight to the door. To your surprise it opens. You half expected Harrow to have locked you in here. But then he probably thought you were still too ill to move.
This is your chance to escape.
You open the door as quietly as possible and try to remember the route back to the exit. The floorboards creak under your feet and you freeze, listening to hear if anyone is coming after you. You only hear silence so you continue.
Eventually you make it back to the communal area you had walked through yesterday, only now it is completely empty. It’s still night. Everyone must be asleep. You spot the exit ahead of you and your heart skips. This is it. You're free. Free to go to Steven.
But wait; Steven left you here.
Or did he? What if Harrow was lying? What if Steven is trapped here too?
You stare ahead at the exit, take a breath and turn away. Away from your chance at freedom.
Steven said he would find you. He promised. He wouldn’t just leave you here.
Which means he must be in trouble.
You have to find Steven.
You head back into the communal area, a huge stone walled courtyard with half crumbled arches and mismatched furniture. You pass the selection of random armchairs, all facing towards a giant screen. Past the shelves covered in various items, boxes and books. Past the tables and chairs and the small kitchen area. You reach the end of the room and as your about to start climbing up one of the sets of wooden stairs…
“You intrigue me, Y/N.” Harrows voice comes from the archway behind you. You turn around to see him step out into the light, his eyes fixed on you. “You could have left. The doors are open, there’s no one here to stop you and yet you didn’t leave. Why?”
“Did you want me to leave?”
“Oh no. Quite the opposite, I’m actually glad you decided to stay. What I do want is to know why?”
“Where’s Steven?” You ignore his question.
“Ah.” He says, nodding with understanding. “You believe he’s still here.”
“I know he’s here.”
“What makes you sure?”
“He wouldn’t abandon me.”
“No you're quite right. I can’t imagine Steven Grant would do such a thing.” He pauses. “But Marc Spector did.”
“I don’t know what you're getting at, but I already know all about Marc. Steven told me everything.”
“What exactly did he tell you?”
“The truth. He said he didn’t fully understand it himself but there’s this other person, Marc, living inside of him and that he is basically the reason Steven’s life has been falling apart. Sometimes Marc takes over the body and does things… are you saying that Marc took over and forced Steven to leave me here?”
“Let’s take a seat.” He moves over to the closest table, sitting down and gesturing for you to sit opposite him.
You stare at him for a moment, watching as he leans his cane against his chair and places his hands on the table in front of him. He looks back up at you again then back to the empty chair. You sigh as you pull out the chair and sit opposite him with your arms folded across your chest, leaning back away to create distance between the two of you.
“Steven Grant doesn’t exist.” He starts and you look at him confused. “Marc Spector created this Steven persona and ran away to England in an attempt to escape the many sins of his past. He is a very bad man Y/N, he has done some terrible things. He was a mercenary. He killed a lot of people and got in a lot of trouble. That is why he made up Steven. He pretended to be someone else just so he could hide. But it wasn’t real. His gentle personality. His job at the museum. His friendship with you-”
“No-”
“-It was all an act Y/N, and I am so very sorry to have to tell you that. Truly I am.”
“Just stop-”
“I know how much you cared for this Steven-”
“You're lying!”
“You're feeling better now, yes?”
“What?”
“You're alive, you feel no more pain. Why do you think that is?” He reaches into his pocket and pulls something out, placing on the table in the middle of you both. “He gave me this.”
It’s the scarab beetle.
“He gave me this and told me to keep it. And you.” Harrow explains, a false sympathetic look on his face. “He told me he has no use for either of you anymore.”
You can’t take your eyes off the golden beetle in front of you. Your heart sinking further and further with every second as you take in what Harrow is telling you.
“I know this is a lot to process Y/N but there is one more thing I must tell you. You are free to leave if that is what you wish-”
“Great!” You get up out your seat and start to walk away.
“But I really think you should stay.”
“Why the hell would I do that?!”
“Because if you leave you will become weak again and you will die.” He states, making you stop and turn back.
“What?! No, he gave you the scarab and now I’m okay, that was the deal.”
“An error on my part.” He stands, taking a step towards you. “I failed to mention that in order to keep you alive Ammit must restore your strength every day. Through direct contact with me.”
“You..? How?”
“A simple touch of my hand.”
You remember him last night, placing his hand on your head right before you fell asleep.
“You healed me last night?” More of a statement than a question.
“I did.” He takes another step closer to you.
“But you told me Steven had left with the scarab. Why did you lie to me?”
“I was trying to protect you, protect your feelings. I knew you weren’t strong enough for the hurt that the truth would cause.”
“And you think I’m strong enough for it now?” you scoff and he reaches his hand out to hold yours.
“You are stronger than you know Y/N.” He locks eyes with you, his bright blue eyes almost staring into your soul. “Ammit sees something special in you. That is why she’s allowing you to live.”
You shake him off, taking a step back as you gather yourself. You take a breath.
“So either I stay as a prisoner for the rest of my life or go out there and die? Are those really my only options?”
“You're not a prisoner, Y/N, there are no locked doors. No guards forcing you to stay. You could live a happy life with us.”
You think for a moment.
“Or option three; I leave, go live my own life in my own home and then I’ll just come back here every day so you can top up the life support.”
“That won’t work I’m afraid. I move around a lot from place to place, there is no way of knowing exactly where I will be from one day to the next. The safest option for you is to join me.” He pauses. “Join us.”
He raises his arms out to the side as small groups of disciples begin emerging from the doorways and shadows, all facing you. The way they’re all looking at you makes you feel uneasy.
“Just to be clear, if I agree to stay with you that does not mean I’m on your side. It’s purely self preservation, okay? I am not helping you find Ammit. I will not help you murder innocent people. Got that?” Arthur nods. “Good.”
“Good.” he echos, smiling.
“Okay. So what happens now?”
“Now, we go to Cairo.”

Watching Wheel of Time without reading the books: Season 2 Episode 3
Rand gets Pretty Womaned. Perrin has to once again make a choice between the hammer and the axe, and once again lets someone else make that choice for him. Nynaeve is missing, presumed dead, until she literally breaks the laws of physics to get back home because nobody tells her what she can and cannot do, not even reality. Egwene never stops believing in her. Mat escapes with the psychic bartender, but it was actually all orchestrated by the biggest bitch on the wheel.
Rand is the personal attendant to the False Dragon, who is now more of a lizard. He desperately begs to be taught how to control his powers before he suffers the same fate, but Lizard was never all that empathetic to begin with, and now he is actively suicidal. He agrees to teach Rand everything he knows, at the price of some fancy wine. Rand knows exactly how to earn that, and turns on the charm for his landlady. Selene really skeeves me out, for more reasons than just the predatory relationship with a barely legal guy who is clearly very mentally ill. I think it is the way she keeps trying to pretend this is more than a transactional relationship? The way she plays at romance, while still reminding Rand at every turn that she holds all the power? The way she pouts at him when he refuses to play along? I don't know, maybe she just has a sinister personality.
She gets him the wine, and an invitation to a dinner. He makes friends with some older lady who looks like Moiraine in disguise, who snarks at him about how much rich people suck. Okay, Not!Moiraine, way to hypocrite all over the place. Anyways, Rand is incredibly upset to realize the lady that has been preying on him is also preying on other desperate souls, so he runs off to Lizard. Lizard approves of the wine, and delivers the entirety of his advice: accept the madness and eventual death, because there is no way to avoid it. He then returns home where his landlady assaults him, and then they bang. Or maybe he just fell asleep and had a sex dream/hallucination. Either way, he accidentally Mannels, and burns down her inn. She rushes from the flames to find him, and I still get the feeling she's just Off.
Perrin and his friends have all been captured, except his Wolf Buddy who looks like Discount Heimdal. These are apparently the Seachan I have heard so much about. I now realize it is pronounced Shaun John, not See Chan. If there are no special effects from here on out, at least the rest of the budget was well spent on the Shaun John costumes. They are creepy as hell. Nancy Reagan is with them for reasons yet to be explained, and he keeps checking out Perrin. They take the Eyepatch guy up to force him to swear fealty to their throne, and immediately kill him when he refuses. Everyone else submits without question, though Perrin is still angry about it.
At some point he must have been knocked unconscious, because he wakes up alone, chained up in a carriage with Nancy Reagan. This dude is playing jumprope with the line between sweet grandfather and sexual predator. He wolf-baits Perrin, and comes out as the Dark One, which is still a lie. Perrin asks what he wants with him, and Nancy leans in like he is about to kiss him, and says he wants Perrin to be his. GAAAAAAYYYYYY. Heimdal and the wolves break Perrin out, and Perrin wants to rescue the others. Heimdal has another plan. Run away. Perrin follows along, but I sense some complaining in his future. He hates the choices other people make for him, but goes along with them because he still can't handle the thought of being responsible for another major mistake after his last one. Someone should tell him that choosing to follow orders is still a choice, and he is still responsible for the consequences of his choice. I fear he is going to find that out the hard way.
So onto Nynaeve, the heavy hitter of the episode. She is presented with an opportunity to walk through the swamp three arches, where she will face her greatest fears without even the force one power to protect her. If she succeeds, she will become a true Jedi master Accepted Aes Sedai. Her three greatest fears are really all the same fear. Watching people she loves suffer and die and choosing to leave them to their fate rather than fighting to save them. First up is her parents, then the Two Rivers folk, and finally, a brief flash of visions that end with her covered in blood. That last one haunts her so badly that she chooses to leave the tower, run away with Lan, and PSYCH! She was in the arches the entire time. She didn't even notice the archway return for her.
When the arch lit up and faded, the head Aes Sedai all realize she has been lost forever. The Principal of Novice School wallows in guilt, but has enough left over to remind JK Rowling that her self-righteousness won't actually wash away the blood on her hands. JK actually seems to feel shame, which I wasn't sure she was capable of before. She is suddenly more complex than the cardboard cutout lunch room bully she has been up until now. No more likeable, but painfully realistic with her ability to justify any and all actions as a defense against the deep self-loathing she can't afford to face. We all know someone like this. Someone so dedicated to their cause that they can't see the fact that they have become the exact thing they claim to fight against. In this case, She Woman Man Hater, Protector of Girls Everywhere has manipulated and murdered a young woman by treating her as a tool to power, rather than a person. But she doesn't have a penis, so she must still be Good. Right? Right? Her shields are failing. I wonder if she thought she loved Nynaeve, in whatever way her shriveled husk of a soul could comprehend love.
Egwene has recovered from her self-pity sleepover with Elayne, and is committed to appreciating Nynaeve a lot more. She goes to wake her up for school, but finds the Principal there instead. Principal stiffly and woodenly informs Egwene of Nynaeve's death and then walks out, in a way that seems cold to Egwene, but like she is inches from breaking down sobbing to the audience who saw her earlier performance. Elayne tries to comfort Egwene in her sincere, awkward way, but Egwene has just lost her final tie to home, and is not ready to pour her heart out to someone she met yesterday. Read the room, Elayne. Not that you have ever had this skill. Aren't princesses supposed to get etiquette training? She must have failed that class.
JK Rowling does find a way to blame a man after all. She WOULD have prepared Nynaeve properly, if only she hadn't been stuck tormenting Mat for no real reason except that she likes manipulating people. It is really all his fault, for being so manipulable. She releases him, after delivering a scathing rant about her own insecurities projected onto him. Someone in that room is certainly an insidious coward who mistakes their own moral failings for cunning and wallows in self pity. He and Min make a run for it, but Min goes back for a quick chat that serves no purpose except to let us the viewer know she's been working with JK all along.
Egwene goes to the arches, and pours everything she has into opening the archway for Nynaeve, but it just isn't enough. Elayne comes by for a second attempt at comfort. She is able to convince Egwene to stop trying to kill herself by overchanneling at the arches, but promises to sit with her until she's ready to leave. Maybe she CAN learn how humans work after all.
Nynaeve, meanwhile, has been living peacefully in a fantasy similar to Rand's. She and Lan are happily married, with a rambunctious daughter. They live in the Two Rivers with Mat and Perrin, and get letters from the Powerful and Amazing Egwene Sedai. After many happy years, however, her home is invaded by trollocs. She has to hide her daughter in a cellar, while she tries to fight, in a clear parallel to her own memories of losing her parents. The adults do their best, but Mat, Perrin, and Lan all die brutally within seconds of each other. Nynaeve rages so hard that she channels inside the arches. Okay, I understand. Her biggest fear is that being an Aes Sedai will keep her from protecting her loved ones because her duty will come first. She has overcome it by realizing that her power is the one thing that could have saved them all. But now for the final test. Her daughter comes upstairs for a hug, just as the archway appears. Nynaeve knows she must walk through, but she can't abandon her child to her fate. So she gathers up the girl and rushes through, only to emerge empty-handed and covered in blood to a shocked Egwene, who hugs her as she cries. Was that life ever actually real? Is there a world out there where a little girl closed her eyes and trusted her mother to carry her to safety, only to end up helpless and alone against a horde of monsters and the corpses of her family? Nynaeve will never know. Congratulations on becoming an Accepted, and on never knowing peace again.

My SVE OC lores and stuffs
Ignore my typo and grammar mistakes 🤧
Let’s talk about my sve comic first. I was going to draw series based on Stardew Valley Expanded but since I don’t have much information about Castle Village, I temporarily cancelled it until 2.0 is released.
The SVE comic took place mostly in Stardew Valley, and will be told through Isaac’s POV. (Ridgeside Village is also mentioned)
Summary: Isaac happened met the Pelican Town’s florist, Myra, who looked exactly like his deceased lover, Elaine. After that fateful encounter, strange things started to happen in both the town and Castle Village, and Isaac find himself in a mission where he has to discover the mystery behind Myra’s pressence.
Character’s backstory (mostly headcanon and has nothing to do with the canon lore in the game/mod):
- Isaac:
Isaac is a skilled monster hunter at Castle Village, he is skilled in combat and swordsmanship, therefore he had earn the position as a monster hunter in Castle Village, this is where he also met his lover, Elaine.
Isaac had longed for a family with Elaine and planned to marry in the future. Isaac proposed to Elaine in Crimson Badlands, seconds after she took her last breath. Isaac still kept some of Elaine’s keepsakes such as the red ribbon she always used to tied up her hair, and her cloak. He has been mourning for her for 6 years, he shows no interest in finding somebody else to love.
- Lance:
This man kept everything about him a mystery. All we know that he was born from a noble family and he knows magic. Lance’s handsome face always has the smug look on it as if he knows something, a secret perhaps? He will never tells you.
- Elaine:
Elaine was born in Pelican Town with her grandparents, while her parent lived and worked at Suzu city. Elaine soon became a member at the Adventure Guild after she finds joy in keeping the valley safe from monsters.
She then moved to to Castle Village at the age of 23, and met the monster hunter Isaac. Elaine and Isaac soon got closer and started dating, they had been dreaming of having their own house in Ginger Island to start a new life as a farmer, but their dream was shattered not long after.
Elaine passed away at the age of 25, after sacrificed herself to kill Apophis completely, leaving Isaac to mourn for her passing for 6 years. Isaac has build her a headstone and scattered her ashes around Ginger Island.
- Myra:
Myrams origin is still a mystery, nobody knows where she came from, who’s her family and where is her old home. She came to Pelican Town on a stormy night and then begin her life there ever since, even doctor Harvey is unsure who is the mysterious man that brought her to his clinic that night.
Myra is seen as a very friendly, kind and generous young lady, it is impossible for her to make any enemies. Although the villagers feel uneasy whenever they visit her farm, as it’s always filled with void animals and creepy things, they always talk highly of Myra.
Lore heavy stuffs:
Apophis can’t die, when Elaine finally put an end to the monster, its soul morphed with Elaine after she passed away. Therefore, Elaine’s soul was trapped in Crimson Badlands. The Minister of Magic noticed, if Elaine soul fell into the hand of those who have ill intentions, Apophis will be reborn again.
Lance at the time happened to did research on resurrection spell, he then started to experiment on Elaine’s corrupted soul and successfully resurrected her with the help of the witches, wizards and the Ridgeside Mountain deity, Raeriyala.
However, Elaine’s memory was completely wiped out and Apophis’ soul still imprinted on her (explain why Elaine / Myra loves void stuffs) so she was given a new name and was brought back to Pelican Town, under Magnus’ watch in case something bad happened. (They kept this a secret from Isaac because Isaac would try to throw hands with them as he believedthey were using Elaine as a lab rat.)
In my sve comic, there’s a cult where people worship Apophis as their god and would do anything to bring back Apophis. If they had their hands on Elaine and her corrupted soul, she could be a vessel for Apophis’ reborn and cause chaos again.
Secrets and other stuffs:
In this sve universe, the color red holds an important part of the story as it’s held a lot of meaning and metaphors.
- red is the color of love and blood.
- it’s Elaine’s/Myra’s favorite color on clothes and flowers (Roses)
- red is the color of the butterfly that often flies around Isaac’s home the first 2 weeks.
- red is the color of the leaves, the Fall season where Elaine and Isaac met (Isaac met Myra during Fall too)
- red is the color of Apophis’ eyes.
Myra’s current appearance is what Elaine wanted herself to look like if she’s not a Monster Hunter.
Elaine is pregnant with Isaac’s son but neither did she or Isaac knows about it.
Elaine’s bloodline has connection with both Pelican Town and Ridgeside Village, which explains why Raeriyala helped Lance with his resurrection experiment.

HBO Titians Superboy and Beast Boy Bodyswap part 1
Tumblr media
“Dam superboy really is shredded huh” I said to myself feeling my stolen chest… well not really stolen but more like forcibly given…
See after superboy and lex Luther had been
poisoned by this witch (lex Luther was already dead by the time superboy fell ill) the titians had me morph into a virus so I could enter his blood and try to fight off that of something there was no cure for. It had to be me, I was the only chance to do anything medically for superboy on the inside, I mean after all he was the son of Superman, the man of steel. nothing we have would be able to cut into his skin, and if we use kryptinite to soften him up, the magical poison could have just spread faster resulting in his death
The team was worried that if I became an organism that small I might not be able to get out of his blood stream or if I lost control and changed sizes inside of him, it’d kill us both.
But what choice did I have, do nothing and let superboy die? Or risk both our lives to save him? Well I wasn’t gonna let one of my best friends die, so I shrunk down into a tube, and let them inject me though his airway (basically like a nasal spray)
Once inside of him I made my way around microscopically for hours, destroying bit by bit of the poison untill I got the signal that he would be fine
Now getting back out was a bit tricky, even if they could tell exactly where I was in his body and inject a needle to pull me out, there would be no needle…… they kind of have a habit of liking to break in half when you try to insert them inside of someone that’s as hard as steel…
So I decided best course of action is to go out the way I came in, though the lungs, once in the lungs I morphed into a fly, his immune system didn’t exactly like that, or maybe I just ticked his lungs haha, cause I was immediately blown out with the force of a hurricane, lucky I didn’t go splat hitting, well any object on the way out… to be fair the moment I saw light (despite me flying at hundreds of miles an hour, out his system in a split second) I started to remorph into myself, so they probs helped with not going splat, when I hit the floor.
“Gar, are you ok?” Asked knightwing (our team leader)
“Yay, just hurt a bit after getting blown out going Mach Jesus” I said weakly
“ well thanks to you, superboy is gonna be fine, we’re glad we didn’t lose ether of you, we had our doubts, but you did it, you saved the day gar, go get some rest, you’ve earned it” knightwing said patting me on the shoulder
“Ow that hurts dick” I said wincing
“Okay well goodnight gang ima go sleep for like 12 hours, come get me when we have a mission/ ready to hunt down that witch again” I said already half asleep dragging myself along the walks to my room and bed
That night I had some of the weirdest dreams, I dreamed that I was superboy, but I knew that I was me still on the inside, but I couldn’t control my transformations, like I’d focus on transforming and it was like I could just feel time slow down, nothing would happen
I woke up 10 hours after I saved superboy, I was in my bed and I could feel the torn clothes around “oh no, I must have been sleep transforming again” I thought to myself
“Am I still transformed? I feel bigger, and full of energy, and this is coming from the guy that everyone clearly knows has adhd, and spends most of his time as a lion or other big enemies helping take down the bad guys” I thought to myself
I swung myself around to sit up on my bad, and opened my eyes to look at myself, “nope still human” I thought to myself “that’s good”
I yawned as I got up and started stretching. but i could still feel the breeze from tearing my clothing in my sleep
I opened my eyes again and looked down just to scream
“Ahhhhhh why am I so big, I’m not even green, so this definitely isn’t a animal transformation” I said trying to remain calm
I ran to the mirror but was there in less than a micro second, “what the fuck” I said catching myself on the sink careful not to break it with my impact
I looked up into the mirror and lost it, “i-I-im superboy” I said feeling my face
“Oh man this is so crazy, I have to go tell dick, or even raven, she’d know what to do, this must be a side effect of the magic that was in his blood or something
Oh man, it’s gonna be weird having 2 super boy’s on the team “ I said still checking myself out in the mirror
So far I’ve been very careful not to look at superboy’s dick but if I’m stuck looking like him, I mean it’s only a matter of time right?
I decided before I go confront the team, I guess I should go shower first, typically when I have dreams like these where I transform in them, I kinda sweat a lot…
I stepped into the shower and started washing my hair, and eventually the time came to scrub my body.
I looked down and gasped, “dude, I know superboy is a clone but what possible need could superboy need a super dick for, like this thing is huge” I thought to myself as I began stroking it
Unfortunately for me, and superboy I guess, it doesn’t feel as good as it did when I was still me, I was probably stroking it for close to 40 minutes before I was even close to cumming, “dam” I thought to myself “if it takes me this long to even get close to cumming, superboy could probably fuck someone to death”
After that thought I started laughing to myself, “ man besides the whole lack of sensitivity down there, this might not be to bad of a problem, I mean after all who wouldn’t wanna fuck superboy right?”
At that point starfire came running into the bathroom yelling my name “Beast boy, I know your probably wanting to get acquainted with your new body but nows not the time”
“What do you mean” I said “I’m super boy”
“ no your not, super boy is in your body that’s still in the medical room, we’ve already cleared him for combat, come on I know it’s you gar, we gotta go, we got a new lead on that witch, she’ll have the answers to how this happened”
“B-b-but star are you sure, like I haven’t even had this body for like 2 hours yet, I don’t know how to use his powers” I said with a look of confusion
“Funny, superboy said the same thing… Just punch hard, come on we gotta go NOW gar.”
#edit this post originally had nudity in it of some guy that looked like the superboy actor but tumblr blocked it…
Guess a more explicit version will have to wait till I make a patreon haha
200 followers and I’ll start making explicit versions on patreon ?

She’s The Housekeeper Prt8: Penguin Park
Yor Briar/ Forger x She/ Her Reader
A/N: Prt7 Prt9 Here is the big chapter! I’m planning to do at least one more chapter to bring in Bond but after that I think I’ll be done with this story. I hope you all like this chapter! Thank you for reading! Word Count: 4,515
Another night filled with assignments.
Loid could hardly make it into the apartment building, he was that tired. For as much as HQ wanted him to continue this perfect family charade, they were not making it very easy for him to do so.
As he shuffled into the apartment complex, his ears perked up when he heard voices further down the hall. It was the neighbors again, and what they were saying stopped him cold in his tracks.
“That man from across the hall is working late again I see.” One snidely remarked, earning a round of acknowledging huffs from the other women.
“That poor little girl must feel so neglected. I rarely see the three of them together.”
“Yes, and don’t even get me started on the live-in housekeeper!”
All the women voiced exasperated sounds of agreement before diving in on the topic anyway. Loid stuck close to the wall and continued to listen in.
“So he’s definitely having an affair with her, right?”
Loid nearly choked.
“I wouldn’t be surprised. He seems the type. With how often he’s out god-knows-where, he’s probably got a handful of mistresses to hop between.
Hardly. Loid’s eye twitched and he rubbed at his face while still listening to the assassination of his character, and then (Y/n)’s as well.
“She is so antisocial!” One piped up, “She seems like a nice young woman on the surface, but whenever I offer to introduce her to the strapping young men in my family, she turns up her nose. Seems she only has an eye for married men who can fill her bank account.”
Loid covered his mouth in surprise. These women were ruthless in their gossip. If (Y/n) had heard any of this, he could only imagine how furious she would be, not to mention how Yor would feel as well. Even he was beyond offended on her behalf, but he couldn’t exactly cut in and tell them off, that would probably do more harm than good.
“Maybe he lost his job and he’s too embarrassed to go home?” Another speculated, “Can’t bear to face his heartbroken wife and money grubbing mistress without a paycheck.”
Loid’s hands fell to his sides in fists. He had been careless it seemed. He had been so busy with his other missions, that he had neglected his role here, and now rumors were flying like crazy. He’d have to do something about that, and soon. If it blew into some bigger conspiracy that got to the school, he hated to think how that would affect Anya.
Of course Anya knew that their family was… unconventional, she seemed to know that she probably shouldn’t call (Y/n) mama in public, even if she forgot at times. Loid could only imagine how the high society parents would object and cause a scene and how cruel their children could be as well once they heard... Loid couldn’t let Anya be exposed to such bigoted attitudes.
He slunk back from the hall and ran swiftly up the stairs to their apartment door, startling the trio coloring in the living room with his hasty entrance.
“We’re going out next weekend!” He declared, then directed his attention to Anya, “Where do you want to go?”
“Uh, Loid? You should sit down. You look ill.” (Y/n) suggested.
“Yes, you should get some rest.” Yor agreed.
“Ah, is that a penguin?” Loid asked, ignoring the two women to observe Anya’s drawing, “Let’s go to the aquarium then!”
(Y/n) and Yor shared a puzzled look, before Yor addressed Loid again.
“Not that I wouldn’t enjoy an outing, but what is this about?”
“We need to do everything we can to keep looking like a normal, happy family to keep up the appearances of our pretend marriage. An outing is just what we need.”
“Anya’s excited!”
“Then it’s settled.” Loid nodded with a smile.
The evening was mostly normal from there, until Anya was put to bed. Loid was honestly a bit fearful about explaining to Yor and (Y/n) what he had heard (minimal details of course), but even more so he was afraid of what he needed to ask of (Y/n) during that outing.
“Are you serious?” (Y/n) spoke tightly, her tone unusually high, “They really think you and I—?!”
“That is what I heard.” Loid affirmed, interlacing his fingers and rubbing his thumbs together.
“An affair! I can’t believe it!” She quietly screamed while Yor blinked owlishly at her side, still processing the accusation.
“They couldn’t be more wrong! …Well, actually, they are kind of right… but they’ve put together the wrong people!” (Y/n) ranted as she paced the room. She crossed her arms and turned on her heel to stalk towards Loid.
“So this is what the outing is for, right? For you three to go out and look like the perfect family to make them think we aren’t being… intimate?” (Y/n) shuddered at the word in that context.
“Yes, but… (Y/n), I was hoping you would come too.”
“That would look bad one hundred percent, Loid.” (Y/n) shook her head. “Or if you think you’ll ease suspicion by having me dressed up in that stupid uniform while I haul your souvenirs behind you all day, you can go—“
“No, no, of course that’s not what I’m suggesting, but what I am asking you to do won’t be easy nevertheless.”
“What is it?” Yor tentatively asked.
Loid sighed, and rubbed at the back of his neck.
“Remember my friend, Franky?”
“Yeah, what about him?” (Y/n) asked warily.
“Could you please pretend to be on a date with him when we go to the aquarium?”
Yor’s mouth fell open in surprise, nearly breaking her neck with how fast she turned to look at (Y/n) and Loid braced himself for yelling, but (Y/n) was deathly quiet, expressionless. Somehow that was worse.
(Y/n) took in a few deep breaths through her nose, releasing one long, final breath before looking back to Loid with irritated and tired eyes.
“He knows it’s just pretend, right?”
“Of course.”
“And how long do we have to keep it up?”
“It will be most important to time an introduction with some of the neighbors in the hallway before we leave, after that, you two can treat it like any casual outing once we are there. We may have to plan similar outings in the future though…”
Yor’s head whipped back and forth like she was watching a tennis match. (Y/n) wasn’t really agreeing to having a fake boyfriend, was she? Rationally, Yor knew that if Loid was suggesting it, it was probably necessary, and it wasn’t like the relationship would be any more real than her fake marriage, but the idea of her partner going on a date with someone else made her feel the need to snap some bones to fight off the uncomfortable burning in her chest.
“I swear this just keeps getting more and more convoluted.” (Y/n) groaned, sitting down hard on the couch beside Yor who watched her intently, “I trust that you wouldn’t be bringing this up if you had any other options, so I’ll do it, but I swear Loid, if this lie keeps evolving like this I can’t imagine we will be able to keep up with it for very long.”
“I know.” Loid nodded solemnly.
“Um,” Yor cleared her throat, grasping at (Y/n)’s sleeve, “are you sure you want to do this, darling? I’m sure we could find another way.”
“As long as those old biddies see me as some untethered, marriage killing floozy, there really isn’t anything else we can do. As long as they think there is an affair going on, our family image will continue to appear tarnished.”
Yor frowned, sucking in her lower lip. (Y/n) stroked her hand comfortingly.
“It’ll be no different from the pretend marriage you and Loid have. You don’t have to look so concerned.” She promised, trying to ease Yor’s mind with a smile.
But it would be different. Yor didn’t think she could handle being in the position that (Y/n) had been in ever since this pretend marriage began. Watching on as her lover walked beside someone else, holding their hand... the burning in Yor’s chest grew hotter. (Y/n) was far stronger than her when it came to these things it would seem.
“If you’re certain.” Yor murmured.
(Y/n) squeezed Yor’s hand and brought her attention back to Loid.
“We’re going to need a story.”
“Right.”
***
“Loid, are you sick?”
“Maybe we should postpone?” Yor asked, ashamedly hopeful.
Loid shook his head as he fumbled with his sunglasses. He wasn’t sick, just severely sleep deprived from speeding through all of his missions that week to make this work. He couldn’t back out now. Especially not when Anya was so excited.
“I’m perfectly fine,” he said, staring down hard at his watch. He wiped his sleeve over the face to clean what he thought must have been a smudge, but it was still blurry. Nevermind, Franky would probably be up to meet them soon and he could already hear the neighbors gossiping in the hall so it was go time.
“Fall out, Forgers’,” he ordered, grasping the doorknob successfully on the second try and opening the door to let Anya run excitedly into the hall with Yor and (Y/n) following after her.
“Oh, Forgers’!” One of the neighbors blinked in surprise at seeing the family together, then her eyes found (Y/n) in her casual wear. She gave (Y/n) a tight smile, “And Ms. (L/n), of course.”
“Good morning,” (Y/n) waved, smile just as insincere.
“It’s rare to see you all together. What is the occasion?” One of the other neighbors asked.
“We’re going to the aquarium.” Loid shared.
“Oh, all of you?” The woman asked, side-eying (Y/n).
“Miss Anya insisted,” (Y/n) chuckled politely, “I couldn’t refuse, especially once my boyfriend caught wind of the idea. Ah, here he comes now.”
“Hello, my darling! Ah, aren’t you a sight for sore eyes.”
Everyone followed (Y/n)’s gaze to Franky as he strode up the hallway towards them with a big smile on his face.
“Oh stop it, you just saw me yesterday.” (Y/n) said with faux embarrassment.
It was true, they had seen each other yesterday, and just about every day that week to get their story straight for today. (Y/n) had dreaded it initially, but Franky was easy to get along with, a bit of a scamp, but a good guy.
“You know me,” Franky grinned cheekily, kissing the back of (Y/n)’s hand, “even a minute without you is a minute too long.” He winked.
(Y/n) smiled wryly in response before sharing her well-crafted and practiced introductions. Easily meeting every prying question with tactful responses, sometimes letting Franky take the reins as well to really send the message home that they were definitely a couple.
They had decided they had been together for a year and a half, a long distance relationship because of Franky’s job. Hence why he wasn’t around. Not to mention how unprofessional it would be for (Y/n) to have her boyfriend over while she worked. The neighbors ate up the simple reserved, responsible young woman act she peddled with a spoon. She could see their view of her slowly change before her eyes.
“Oh dear, why didn’t you say you were being courted by this sweet man before?”
Ah yes, (Y/n) didn’t forget about Mrs. Matchmaker, who apparently decided awhile ago that, ‘No thank you, I’m not looking for a relationship,’ translated to, ‘I’m having too much fun chasing after a married man to meet your stupid nephew.’.
“My (Y/n) can be so shy, it’s incredible,” Franky chuckled while (Y/n) hid half of her face behind her hand and adverted her eyes, “she gets so nervous around people sometimes that she probably didn’t even think to mention me. Don’t worry, dear. I’m not hurt.”
“Franky!” (Y/n) quietly admonished, turning away.
She heard the neighbor women chuckle knowingly and rolled her eyes hard at the wall. If being a corpse cleaner stopped paying, perhaps she could try her hand at acting.
“As entertaining as this is, we had better be on our way,” Loid said, sensing it was a good time to wrap up, “good seeing you.”
“Oh yes, have a good day then.”
“Say hello to the penguins for me, little Miss Anya.”
“Good talking with you all.”
“Oh we nailed that.” (Y/n) smiled smugly as soon as they all piled into the car. Loid and Franky in the front while she, Yor and Anya sat in the back.
“You almost even had me convinced.” Franky turned to face her with a grin. “You sure you don’t want to have a nice, romantic dinner with me?”
“Pfft, yeah I’m busy that day.”
“I didn’t even say when!”
“Mhm, as I said. Busy.” (Y/n) laughed, Franky pouted but joined in soon after.
Yor’s smile was stiff as she tried to busy herself by looking out the window. Try as she might to remind herself that their relationship was an act, it still worried her that (Y/n) and Franky seemed to get along despite the circumstances. The sooner they could go back to their normal routine, the better, but she would still try to enjoy the day and not think about feeding Franky to the crabs and other bottom feeders piece by piece for placing his lips even just against the skin of (Y/n)’s hand. She didn’t know how (Y/n) made it until Yuri crossed the line before breaking down.
Loid parked near the subway station and everyone piled out of the car. While they waited for the train to pull into the station, Loid took drink requests and Franky went with him to be an extra pair of hands.
Yor watched fondly as (Y/n) and Anya guessed what kind of animals they would see. Her momentary mental tranquility was quickly brought down as the men made their return.
“M’lady,” Franky bowed, presenting (Y/n) with her drink.
“Thank you, my good sir.” (Y/n) gave a mock curtesy in return.
When it came time to board the train, Yor couldn’t help but maneuver in such a way that guaranteed the spot in the booth beside (Y/n), leaving as little space between them as possible.
“How are you holding up?” (Y/n) whispered.
“Hm?” Yor feigned ignorance, but she wasn’t fooling her partner in the slightest.
“Hey,” (Y/n) whispered under her breath, though Loid, Franky and Anya were well engrossed in their penguin talk and no one else in the subway car seemed to be paying them any mind, “I love you, you know.”
“I know…” Yor worried the hem of her sleeve between her fingers.
“Try to enjoy the aquarium. Then we can cuddle up with some hot cocoa when we get home.”
Yor managed a small smile and nodded. She did like the sound of that. Loid did say the hard part was behind them since they put on their show for the neighbors. Now they could just relax and enjoy the day.
Unfortunately, none of them had foreseen running into more of their nosey neighbors at the aquarium.
“Oh Forgers and…?”
(Y/n) sighed inwardly and stepped up beside Franky to make introductions again. Once everyone was aquatinted, Loid clapped his hands together, ready to move on from the other group and get to his mission, but Yor spoke up instead.
“Why don’t you join us? The more the merrier, right?”
(Y/n) and Loid only just barely managed to hide their shock and disbelief while the neighbors eagerly agreed to the plan. This was the last thing Yor wanted to do, believe her, but if they needed more opportunities to present themselves like a real family to get these people off of their backs, then so be it. If they needed to appear normal, they needed to be more chummy with their neighbors in situations like this, even if that meant…
“Let’s go look at the penguins, my dear. I know how much you love them!” Franky beamed, interlocking his elbow with (Y/n)’s.
Yor’s smile twitched. Franky was much too eager to continue the charade for her liking.
“Yes, starting with the penguins sounds perfect. Is that alright with everyone?” Loid asked, receiving murmured approvals in reply.
Yor could at least take solace in how much Anya was enjoying herself. However, it didn’t take very long before Loid said he needed to get more drinks and left. Then Franky slapped his hands against the enclosure guardrail.
“I got it! (Y/n), come with me!”
“Huh? But—“
Franky pulled (Y/n) away and the neighbors chuckled at their antics while Yor bared down harder on the guard rail to try to keep her sudden bloodlust at bay. Where was Franky taking her (Y/n)? Why was Loid so thirsty today? And where was Anya going—
And where was Anya going?
“Miss Anya, wait!”
But she had already disappeared into the crowd. Yor turned her head every which way, looking for any of the other adults
who were supposed to be responsible for this child along with her, but saw none of them. It looked like she was on her own.
“Excuse me,” she chuckled awkwardly, leaving the neighbors behind. Hopefully this wouldn’t reflect too badly on them.
Meanwhile, (Y/n) watched on as Franky tried name after name to win a giant penguin plush. After the next failed attempt left the man with his head in his hands (Y/n) chimed in,
“Why are you doing this anyway?”
“Why am I doing this? (Y/n), don’t you know how dates are supposed to go? If I win this thing and give it to you, that’s like, a bazillion happily dating couple points!”
“I don’t think we need to worry about it that much. We’ve already done a pretty convincing job. Just breaking off from the group like this is probably filling their heads with all kinds of ideas.” (Y/n) tried not to think too hard on that.
Also, (Y/n) actually wanted to enjoy all of what the aquarium had to offer. Anya looked so cute running around to visit all of the exhibits. She wanted to be a part of that, not be stuck at this booth all day.
Another wrong guess, she sighed inwardly and gave Franky a sympathetic shrug which was met with gearing up for another guessing attempt. She hoped Yor was enjoying herself at least. Hopefully Loid didn’t take to long getting back so he could distract her from her absence.
Yor was not enjoying herself, but she wasn’t worried about (Y/n) at that moment either.
“Miss Anya? Where did you go, Miss Anya?” Yor called out in between asking passers by if they had seen a little pink-haired girl.
Oh dear, where did she go? When was Loid going to come back? Why did Franky have to steal (Y/n) away? She needed help!
“Mama!”
Yor perked up and turned around. Immediate relief washed over her as Anya come into view in another hallway. That relief was quickly replaced with concern once she saw she was on the coattails of a stranger. Anya hastily yelled,
“Mama, I’m being kidnapped!”
Yor’s expression became steely as she began her pursuit. She caught up quickly and spun Anya into her protective embrace with dizzying speed. Glaring hard at the man, her foot found home under his jaw.
“What are you are doing to my daughter?!” She yelled, the force she exerted rocketed him through a ceiling tile, lodging his head within, his legs still dangling in plain view.
“Wow.” Anya blinked, watching the man’s legs sway.
‘Oh no, I definitely over did it! I hope he’s not dead!’ Yor whined to herself.
She would need to find (Y/n) to help her take care of the corpse if that was the case. At least then they could be alone together.
“Are you alright, Miss Anya?”
“Mhm, thank you mama.” This would definitely help Anya’s papa with his mission.
“Ahhh, you had me so worried,” Yor sighed, resting her head atop Anya’s while she held her in her arms, “Let’s get back to the group now.”
“Okay mama.”
Yor was disappointed to see that (Y/n) had yet to return and surprisingly, neither had Loid. She put on the most convincing smile she could and apologized to the neighbors for the Forgers’ sudden scattering.
“Oh don’t worry about it dear.” One of the older women assured.
“It can’t be easy raising a little one. Especially when your husband hasn’t come back at all yet… he must be cheating on you. Who takes this long to get a drink?”
“How awful.” The other agreed.
“Um,” Yor felt strangely guilty that Loid was the one under all of this scrutiny when she was the one technically having an affair, “That’s not…“
“Yor, sorry I took so long.”
Everyone turned to see Loid walking up with a giant stuffed penguin in his arms, and a bitter looking Franky and a bored (Y/n) flanking him as they walked up.
“Taadaaa.” Loid smiled, presenting the plush to Anya.
“Penguin!” Anya joyously cheered, hugging the penguin that was twice her size.
“Wow, so cute! Where did you get that?” Yor asked.
“It was a prize from a penguin guessing game. Once I saw it, I knew I had to win it for Anya. I played over and over until I got it right. I lost track of the time though, sorry I was gone so long,” he added sheepishly.
Everyone else ate that up, except for Anya of course and then Franky further distracted from the group’s previous topic by adding his grievances.
“I can’t believe while I was working so hard to win that penguin for my lady, you were standing somewhere amongst the crowd, waiting to take away all my glory!”
“Miss Anya will take better care of that penguin than I ever could.” (Y/n) assured. She only wished Loid could have guessed correctly faster to save her from standing in place. She watched the nearby tropical fish exhibit for so long, she could probably draw out a prefect replica.
“Wow, you’re a better father than I thought.” One of the women blinked, mildly impressed.
“Oh, thank you.” Loid smiled.
‘I wouldn’t thank someone for a “complement” like that.’ (Y/n) thought to herself as she bit her tongue in an effort to keep any snark she held to herself. She turned to watch Yor and Anya play with the stuffed penguin and felt more at peace.
“I’m just a simple father trying to keep my footing as I protect my happy little family.” Loid spoke tenderly, working his magic on the middle-aged women.
Looks like today had worked out after all.
“Let’s go see the dolphin show!” Anya was already lugging the penguin towards the exhibit.
“Good idea!” (Y/n) agreed, happy to finally see more of what the aquarium had to offer.
“Come on, Forger! Speed it up!” Franky teased, fully aware of the antics Loid had been up to all day.
“Can we slow down a bit maybe?” Loid asked. The poor man was crashing faster than an airplane out of fuel.
Still, he wouldn’t trade this moment of peace for anything in the world. He’d enjoy every second of it.
***
Anya was enjoying her morning after her busy day at the aquarium yesterday, by showing her penguin around their ‘hideout’.
“This is agent papa, he can do anything.” She explained to the penguin as she moved around the living room.
“And this is agent mama, she’s super strong, but bad at everything else.”
“Am I that much of a failure?” Yor bemoaned.
“Of course not darling, you are good at plenty of things.” (Y/n) assured as she prepared breakfast in the kitchen.
“And that is agent mama, not to be confused with other agent mama, she keeps the hideout squeaky clean and makes the yummiest food. The three of them together are Anya’s most trusted lackeys.” Anya nodded to herself, a pleased smile upon her lips. Then she continued on her path, dragging the penguin behind her.
She was running out of places to visit. She knew she shouldn’t be in their rooms without permission… but it was much too tempting for the little girl.
“The most top-secret rooms of the hideout. Papa and the mamas’ rooms.”
What wonders could she stumble upon in her spy father’s room or her assassin mother’s room? Special knives? Bombs? Acid? Her fingers barely touched the door knob before she was quickly pulled away, feet dangling off of the ground.
“Hey! Where do you think you’re going?” Loid yelled, more so out of worry for Anya’s well-being than anger. He had a lot of dangerous things in his room after all.
“How many times do I have to tell you to not go in my room without permission?”
The combination of the surprise of being grabbed and the tone of Loid’s voice caused Anya to burst into tears.
“I— Anya, don’t cry. There’s dangerous things like scissors and heaters in there and I don’t want you to hurt yourself.” Loid spoke more softly.
“Yes, you shouldn’t go into mine and (Y/n)’s room either.” Yor added gently. Too many needles and poisons, acids and cleaners. They could probably blow up the whole apartment building if they weren’t stored properly.
“Papa and mama, I hate you both!” Anya wailed, running to the kitchen and hoping for a bit of sympathy from (Y/n). Unfortunately, (Y/n) was in the middle of carrying a scalding hot pan to the plates as Anya ran into her thighs at full speed.
Thankfully, (Y/n)’s grip and balance stayed firm, but the scare of almost dumping hot food and oil over the little girl lead (Y/n) to shout,
“Miss Anya! No running in the kitchen, I could have seriously hurt you!” She scolded.
“Anya hates mama too!” Anya bawled, “Anya’s going to run away from home!”
The three adults jolted as if they had been struck by lightning, each feeling more awful the longer Anya cried. (Y/n) tried to console, but Anya kept crying until Loid picked up the Penguin and hid his flushed face in its soft back.
“A-agent Anya, there’s no time for crying. World peace is on the line!” Loid said, speaking in a higher tone that would have had (Y/n) struggling not to laugh if Anya hadn’t just said she hated her twenty seconds ago.
(Y/n) saw Yor grab a robot and followed suit by grabbing Anya’s pink chimera plush.
“L-let’s wrap up the hideout tour and go on our next mission.”
“Yes, let’s go beat the bad guys!” Robot Yor agreed.
“We’ll teach them not to mess with us!” Chimera (Y/n) chimed in.
Anya sniffled, but that seemed to have appeased her. She wiped her nose and commanded the three of them to follow her lead to the candy store.
It was a rather embarrassing outing for Loid, Yor and (Y/n), but to see Anya smile and laugh so happily, it made having to go out in public with toys over their faces and silly voices leading to giggling strangers worth it.

Detective gang being ill headcannons idk what to call them
Daisy
- we've already seen what she's like ill in DITS
- Hazel thinks she doesn't realise she's ill, just keeps going until she collapses, or someone forces her into bed
- but the truth is that Daisy feels the need to keep up appearances, and also if she faints it feels drastic enough for her to be allowed to be ill
- after DSS, she succumbs to colds a lot quicker than she used to, the chill of the river never quite left her bones
- usually able to sleep anywhere but when she's ill has incredibly specific preferences or else she won't rest at all
- the window has to be exactly a quarter open, with three blankets of exact same size and fabric, with 2 pillows and a cushion from the sofa to put her head on
- often ill for a longer period than usual, simply because she gets antsy quickly, declares she's better, tries to get up, and promptly makes herself sicker than before
Hazel
- it's actually Hazel who genuinely doesn't realise she's ill
- she'll have a 39 degree temperature and be like 'its just stress!!!'
- Daisy used to get annoyed when Hazel was ill because it meant they couldn't Do Things together, so Hazel sort of learnt to keep it in the down low that she was feeling rough
- they've since talked this issue out and Daisy is now apologetic and attentive
- a little too attentive now, Hazel thinks,
("And then of course the door *atchoo* would be open, not closed *atchoo*- Daisy, where are you going?"
"You've sneezed twice in a row, Watson, I'm getting the thermometer"
- it's nice to have an attentive Daisy rather than a selfish Daisy though, especially when she yells at everyone to keep the noise down because "HAZEL is sick"
- Hazel usually can't stand plain food (hyposensitive with food autistic) but when she's ill, she'll live off plain toast for the next 3-4 days
- Hazel knows she's feeling better because there will be a 'click' moment where plain toast is instantly revolting to her again
- the ONLY time Hazel enjoys the cold English weather is when she's running a fever
George
- tries not to show he's ill for appearance's sake like Daisy, but not silly enough to keep going like she would if he knows he's a risk to others
- you can tell George is ill though because he will fall asleep. Everywhere
- was sick during a case at Weston once, and fell asleep interviewing a suspect
("they had an incredibly monotonous voice Alex, now please don't bring it up again!")
- likes being sung to when he's ill
- takes all of his father's advice for not getting sick daily (wash your hands properly, cover mouth when you cough and sneeze etc.)
- so George isn't often ill but when he is, he gets it bad
- ofc noone likes being ill, but George does enjoy being in the san, it's far cleaner than the dorms, and there's a stillness in the air that's very comforting
- George gets incredibly bothered by his hair when he's ill so pins it back with his mother's kirby grips
Alex
- everyone gets a little worried when Alex gets sick, especially in winter because he has a history of being in and out of hospital as a child
- think scarlet fever, polio, croup
- he's usually fine though, it's likely just the common cold
- this does not stop George stealing his father's stethoscope to listen to Alex's lungs and seeing if anything's amiss
- (Alex thinks he does this just to show off the latest medical term he's learnt)
- doesn't like being ill because he gets sent to the san, which while being nice and having a friendly nurse, is incredibly lonely
- he's used to hearing the other boys sleeping, or while at home his family hosting a party, and it's too quiet in the san
- acts like a woodlouse when he's sick, as in will curl up into a small ball
- Alex being sick is the only time George will lose a card game
- ("Alex, you marvel, you've won again!"
"Don't patronise me George, I know you're letting me win...")

Just Soup
Moving back with my family has had some very positive things. I'm sobering up and my nephew (cosplays Ezra) came over to watch over me. I just had Zeb sick instead even though in the actual art... ah i question that now. anyhow per Zeb and Ezra interaction with a Rebels twist: Just Soup rated G, Dont like, dont read. time period is just after Kanan was blinded by Maul. and yeah spelling and grammar are not my strong suit but there's writing in voice and writing "properly". no Beta we die like clones.
Ezra screwed his eyes shut and put his hand over his ears. This is -exactly- what he never -ever- wanted to hear. Sure it was early morning but even he…“GAUH ZEB! Go use the refresher!” maybe mortifying the man would keep this from ever happening again.
The horace thick voice cracked out from below “y-yeah… M-maybe.”
Planting his face in his hands, he’d rather be fighting Darth Vader at this second in time rather than existing in this room. The heavy thud, almost retching cough that pulled from the Lasat now sprawled, still all his cloths on laid still panting half sprawled. He watched Zeb, the furball that prided open ship doors struggling to get at least to his hands and knees. “Hey, are you ok?”
“Yeh… no big deal, cold as Bahryn in here…” the large man made it to his feet, clinging toes the only thing that kept his shivering and swaying form upright.
“No big deal as Siths ass!” Ezra was off of the top bunk in a swift move and grabbed Zeb by the armor he still wore before he fell again. “You sound like you just ran from a herd of Bantha!”
“Naw, feel like they trampled me… I’m fine kid, hot sonic ‘n I’ll be good.”
“Are you having a hard time breathing?”
Zeb looked with a dropped exhausted face, the light bulb slow to flicker on. “Lasat pant, we don't sweat like the lot o’ ya.”
“Sooo, you’re sweating but you said you feel cold…Karabast you’ve got a cold” They both staggered as Zeb lost his footing for a moment.
“‘M fine. Just a hot sonic…” He mumbled his head bobbing a little, the cough that ran through Zeb’s throat as the Lasat covered his mouth still coughing and nearly sounding like he was going to wretch once more. The sudden movement moved both of them to slam against the wall by the door.
“No! To bed! I’ll get a medic!” the young Jedi was actually shocked how easily Zeb turned with him to head back to the bunk.
“Mmm maybe a bit m’re sleep… but no Medic.” Zeb dis his weakest growl at the Jedi, turning his head to only glower with the same intensity.  He did however let Ezra help him back to the bunk where he collapsed with a heavy thud of fur and armor.
“Ok, well, stay here, dont move!” Ezra was out the door before he could hear Zeb’s reply of ‘no problem kid.’
“Ok, now at least take off your bracers, you’ll feel warmer in moments I promise!” The Jedi sounded pleased with himself. He didn’t even get a look or retort from the panting Zeb, the man just took his bracers off and in an unusual way just dropped them on the ground. Only when Ezra put the first blanket on did Zeb’s lowered ear twitch and a slit of a green eye looked out to him. “I’m gunna make you a purrito first!” and proceeded to throw more blankets over him and tuck Zeb into one mass pile of blankets. “Ok, now don’t move!”
Zeb only moved to use his toes to pull the blankets over them tucking in, not sleeping but his mind static.
Ezra was out in the hall, paused at Kanan’s door, drooping a little. Should he tell him that Zeb’s sick? He’d still care that his friend was ill right? Ezra scowled lightly and turned instead of Hera’s room-empty. Karabast, he could do this himself anyway, did it for so many years of his life. Alone… Zeb knew what that was like and after all hadn’t Zeb always been there for the rest of them? Well, aside from that one time with Agent Kallus.
Ezra ran to the makeshift mess "hall" on Atollon popping into the kitchen so fast he startled a single cook. “Hey, do we have any broth or something that could be made into one? Like a bone broth? And some ginger or something like it?”
Startled into compliance the rebel turned, a small slip of a girl who rummaged through the crates turned on their sides to be a sort of shelving. “I um, I think we do! But Ginger? No but we have gro’jehger its like a wookie form of ginger.”
“Perfect! Oh and Water jugs!”
The slip of the girl turned as she reached for something in the back of a crate that was stacked too high for her fingers to grab what she was trying to get. “W-what do you need all this for?”
“Soup! Well a broth soup. I have a friend that’s taken ill and needs some, we need everyone on the base in top shape after all.” He gave a charming grin to the Rebel girl, giving her the slightest lift to reach whatever she was looking for.
“AH! Got it!” she may have not even noticed the use of Force so focused on getting the ingredients. “Well if they’re sick, they should be isolated, an illness at this base could…”
Waving his hand as if erasing her words “Don’t worry, we have them isolated on the Ghost. I’ll com Hera and let her know.”
“What about you and the rest of your crew?” She handed Ezra the supplies.
Arms full of a small box of broth powder and the root in hand he grinned “We’re the Specters, nothing can catch us, not even a cold!” and he was off running again. He knew Lasat’s blood was different, maybe they wouldn’t be able to catch it. Yet a virus could mutate… he’d Com Hera when he got back to the Ghost.
Maybe he should make enough for all of them, just in case. Ezra thought it through as he rummaged through their measly selection of spices and herbs. Cayenne powder, just enough to warm from the inside. Dash of salt for the sweating…. If Zeb even needed it. He chopped both some onion and the gro’jehger root into tiny little  flakes the best he could with his knife.
The young Jedi chuckled to himself with a passing thought of using his lightsaber for the job but then it’d be smoked onion and gro’jehge! He dumps some of the power, stirring it all together. Ok, time to face the Loth-Wolf… “Hey Hera can you hear me?”
“Not the best time Ezra. May I com you back?” Hera’s voice wobbled through the com line.
“Well, rather you not. I’m trying to keep this private but it won't last too long, Promise!” He used the “son begging for a Loth-cat voice.
The sigh from Hera was audible through the com, she excused herself for a moment speaking quietly “Alright Ezra, what’s wrong?”
“Zeb’s sick.”
“Zeb?!” Hera exclaimed and then cleared her throat, returning to a low tone. “He’s never sick! When did he get sick? What is it?”
“I’m a Jedi Hera, not a doctor. This is why I need you to find out if viruses are picky about, you know, blood types or what not. If not we have a situation that hopefully isn’t terrible, but it did take Zeb down. If it’s not then the base is ok. I’m not sure how to ask the question without … you know embarrassing Zeb.” Ezra spoke, fingertips above the water to make sure it was hot enough.
“I, I donno, I’ll ask one of the med droids, they typically don’t spread others information. I’ll sleep in the Phantom tonight Just in case, but you!”
“Yeah, I’m staying in there with him. Got some soup and will take a jug of water with me. I got this!” Ezra was grinning at his self sufficiency.
“And… and Kanan?” Hera’s voice was hesitant.
“Hasn’t left his room” Ezra winced as the words came out with more vinegar than he wanted “He’s safe, anyhow I have a large Purrito to tend to! I’ll com if I need anything!  Ezra out.” He winced at his slipup closing the com fast so he didn't have to hear the reaction.
With a sigh he put his com on his belt plucking up two mugs, putting a ladle in the pot and used the Force to carry the two jugs of water back to his and Zeb’s room. He put the jugs down  on the stool table first then the soup and mugs. Glancing over to see Zeb shivering and still panting hard. Furrowing his brow Ezra turns back to the soup and ladles out some into a Mug and squats down next to Zeb “Hey… Zeb. Zeb?”
“Not asleep just closin m’ eyes.” the voice graveled out from under the blankets now pulled almost completely over his head, his ears giving a twitch.
“Good cause sit up, I brought you something to eat.” The Jedi held out the mug within Zeb’s reach.
“Hnngh no.”
“What do you mean no, I made this myself!”
“Then without a doubt no.”
“ZeeeeEEEeeeeb C’mon, you need to eat something! When was the last time you ate something?” Ezra leaned in closer, was about to use the Force on this stubborn Lasat.
Zeb slowly arose from the blankets, a light hurk and he stopped moving for a moment before continuing to sit somewhat upright. A deep chested grumble from his throat, bottom lip protruding with the displeasure. He took the cup from Ezra, wary of that smile and took a sniff of it.
“Careful it’s hot.”
Zeb took a slow sip and reacted quickly and immediately regretted it. Ezra was there to help steady the cup but Zeb had his tongue hanging from his mouth as if that would cool it faster.
Laughing Ezra teased “Have a cat’s tongue then? I told you it was hot!”
Zeb sulked, his fur raising in embarrassment or annoyance. As if to respond to Ezra’s earlier comment his stomach lets out a growl and Zeb’s ears flatten immediately.
Again Ezra starts to laugh, standing to get himself a small cup of the broth. When he sits down Zeb has a much different look on his face, a small smile, soft-happy. “What?”
“Good ta hear ya laugh again. Been a while.”
It was Ezra’s turn to half sulk, the smile melting from his face “Yeah well you know why.”
Blowing on the cup a little to cool it down. “I do, still ain’t yer fault. Ya can think it is all ya want but ya got t….” Zeb started coughing again and once more Ezra saved the broth from spilling into his lap.
“Got to shut up.” the boy raised a brow.
“No…”Zeb squeezed out from a tight throat.
“No no not me, you. Drink some broth then lecture me.” Ezra’s lip upturned in a smirk.
With a Snort Zeb turned back to his cup taking a slow small sip of it. He paused and looked at the cup as if it had something magical in it. One more sip before saying with surprise “it’s good” oh and by the Ashla it felt wonderful on his throat and empty stomach.
“I know a thing or two.” The boy smiled and leaned back. “You should lay down after you finish that cup. Sleep always helps.”His smile widened.
“Aye aye Lieutenant sir.”
Ezra was pulled away from his data pad as the com chimed. “Ezra here.”
“It’s Hera, we’re in the clear. It appears that even a simple cold cant pass from one protein based blood type to the next. It’s just not genetically compatible much like someone like Zeb wouldn’t be able to have a child with a human woman, the protein binders are all wrong.” her voice had notes of relief in it.
“Oh good, cause we, well… Zeb drank most of the broth and that cook might throw a few pans at me if I startle her again to make more.”Ezra gave a whole body one laugh.
“How’s he doing?” Concern replaced the relief.
“Better.” the gruff voice called from below.
“You hear that?”
“Yes, glad you’re doing better Garazeb. You continue to get some rest, we’ll see how you’re doing tomorrow. I’m not going to take my chances, I’m still going to go sleep in the Phantom tonight.” Hera’s voice had a small tease to it.
“Don’t blame ya.” Zeb chuckled. “Might be worth it though for whatever that was Ezra made.” He leaned forward and looked up at Ezra. Ezra able to smile back, losing that smile quickly as Zeb started coughing again with that hurk.
“Oh Karabast gotta go!” Ezra was off the bed and grabbing the empty pot and shoving it in Zeb’s hands just in time. Ezra’s stomach twisted and he was able to fight down the gag reflex.
Zeb groaned “tasty soup too” mournfully he looked at the bucket.”Gotta use the Fresher anyhow since its safe.” He rose to head out the door, this time not wobbling anywhere near as much.
“Alright, and Zeb…” a small mischievous smirk started in his eyes.
Zeb stopped turning slightly.
Ezra licked his lips as if trying to swallow the laugh “You purr really loud when you’re a purrito…” The laugh still broke free.
PerCharacter Zeb gave him a gruff scowl and promptly headed out the door, where that scowl turned to a smile. It was good to have Ezra… That Ezra back.
