Let's be real, hyv is scared of bipoc and strong, thick, muscular and/or fat women. The variety we get in the male models is insane but we only have short and skinny woman or tall and skinny woman with huge boobs. It's one of my biggest gripes with genshin and makes me feel even worse when you've got characters like Candace, Beidou, and Dehya that look like that.
Thank god the fan artists come through and give them the body types we all know they have. Also I'm sorry I'm blowing up your inbox I just have very strong feelings on this --
DEADASS. especially the representation in sumeru?????? it’s so frustrating that consumers of the game tell them, over and over, that they want more representation in the game and over and over it’s ignored. hoyo has been in the industry long enough and it is enough of an international company that representation should be something they take seriously and answer to. but they don’t, because they stick with the same dry formula that sells.
it’s the same with the female designs. they keep putting them in near-lingerie and don’t bother giving them decent backstories because they know people will whale for them because they’re hot. i get it, they’re a company and the point is to make revenue, but it is so frustrating that they don’t listen to such a large portion of their consumers.
and it is such a shame because it really is a beautiful storyline. it’s so clear they put so much effort into the research and weaving all the plot lines together. but then a massive chunk of their characters are just after thoughts and it absolutely puts a shadow over everything they’ve built.

Hello! Can I just say I’m head over heels with your writing? It’s just perfection! If you don’t mind could I request some hc’s for Childe and Kaeya (if u write for him) with a s/o who doesn’t get embarrassed or flustered? Those two seem like such big teases I’m just wondering what it’d be like haha
Oh, You Tease!
Characters: Childe & Kaeya x Male Reader
Summary: The boys VS. a reader that is not easily flustered
Warnings: Slightly suggestive
Word count: 640
A/n: You’re gonna make me cry!😭 Thank you so much, it means a lot that people are enjoying my writing, you made my entire month! Even my entire writing career, haha!
I’ve never written for Kaeya and I’m a very shy and quiet person IRL, so we’ll see how this one turns out. I’m also super awkward so I’m flustered in every situation LMAO
I’m hoping I didn’t make them too OOC!
Tumblr media
Childe
Was actually very shy around you before you started dating which you found strange, because why would such a teasing guy be so shy only around one person?
Of course, you found out it was because he had a crush on you, so you had to make the first move on him and ask him out (he was too scared of rejection, shy!Childe got me like 🥺)
But to your dismay (maybe?), the boy eventually got more comfortable being around you, and his teasing personality came back with a vengeance.
However, you were having none of it, and your stoic reaction to his quips were becoming a little embarrassing for him to laugh off every time.
That’s why he made it his life mission to find a way to fluster you! He would ask the people around Liyue (and your friends) if they knew of any subjects that embarrassed you, but everyone was just kind of weirded out by his questions…
One day, however, he was at your house and you walked into the living room to find him staring out the window.
“What are you thinking about Ajax?” and that’s when a lightbulb went off in his mind. Confront the issue directly.
He stood up and locked his gaze with yours, slowly making his way over to you. You didn’t like the look in his eyes, so you backed away from him until you hit a wall.
“Childe, what are you doing?” you asked, beginning to get a little nervous at his unusual quietness.
He caught up to you and placed a hand against the wall beside your head, and he moved up beside your ear.
“You know that… I really do like you, right?” He whispered, making you slightly tense. The hand that had moved onto your crotch, however, was the finishing blow to your stoic wall. You slapped his hand out of the way and shoved him off you.
“T-That was uncalled for, Ajax.” You said sternly, looking away with a deep shade of crimson across your face. This made Childe laugh manically and you were sure to regret showing this side of you for the rest of your existence.
Tumblr media
Kaeya
So, as we all know it, Kaeya has… A personality LMAO
He was definitely not shy when he first met you, in fact, he upped his flirting game tenfold the moment he realized he had a crush on you!
He would try everything, but unlike Childe, he got SO embarrassed when you wouldn’t react to his advances, he would just want to sink into the floor at that very moment (flustered Kaeya UwU)
When he saw that you were still as stoic as ever, he assumed you were oblivious to his advances so he just sort of gave up trying. :(
However, unlike Childe again, the way he got you flustered was a total accident!
You had been hanging out in his office, and while he was working on the typical Knights of Favonius papers, you were doing your own thing in the corner.
He asked you to pass him a pen that was in a drawer closer to you so that he could sign a couple things, so you happily obliged, getting up and opening the drawer.
But when you came back to his desk to hand him the pen, your fingers brushed against his. Him being so absorbed in his work, hadn’t even looked up. Your faint voice is what caught his attention.
“I-I’m sorry…” you muttered under your breath, turning around with a faint blush across your face.
“AHA!” he yelled, jumping up. “SMALL TOUCHES! THAT’S IT!”
You then had to tell him to shut up, otherwise other Knights would hear him, and you swore things would not go well for him if they did. Your sternness made him a little sad. :(
Tumblr media
I decided to add a situation in which you finally became flustered for both, because why not? #simp4lyfe

| Be my valentines |
[zhongli, Venti, Childe, Xiao, Kaeya, Diluc x F!reader]
Here’s the scenario:
You’re alone on valentine’s day, probably thinking of your own problems and not paying close attention to the festivities of this new event. That is until he approaches you.
Tumblr media
You’re standing alone in Liyue harbour. Watching the people of Liyue busy themselves down below. It was easy to distinguish the couples from the singles, as they all seemed to flock together.
You don’t notice the geo archon approaching until he clears his throat.
To which you’re obliged to spin around and face your contender, to your surprise you’re met with a familiar simple smile. A smile in which the last few months you had grown accustomed to.
You countered back with your own cheerful smile, eyes squinting against the sunlight as wrinkles formed around your eyes.
Your expression was priceless to the archon. Something that he would gladly die laying his eyes upon it for a final time.
Now unbeknownst to you Zhongli had made it his mission to confess his feelings to you, afterall Zhongli new all of Liyue’s history and he new today was a day of not only couples celebrating but of confessions.
The archon pulled a magnificent bouquet of glaze lilies out from behind him. He watched as your eyes lit up in twinkles and you gladly accepted his gift.
Clearing his throat he begun. “Y/N in the last few months we have spent together I have found myself growing rather... attached persay.”
“I was wondering if you would do me the honours of—”
“Yes!” You cheered, cutting himself off mid sentence.
“You didn’t even allow me to formally ask, it’s not official until I do so.” This grandpa and contracts I tell you.
Anyways in the end he officially asked you to be his girlfriend to which you joyously accepted and you spent the rest of the day together, showering each other in love.
Troubles long forgotten.
Tumblr media
You’re actually relaxing in mond as you listen to your little bard friend play. He’s singing and dancing about making children laugh and couples smile.
He sings and tells tales of romances from long ago, how they fought to be with one another and died to stay together.
The talk of romances and relationships has you sighing, you had wanted to ask Venti to be your valentine but had cowered out at the last minute. Kaeya (your friend) had tried to convince you to continue, but unfortunately there’s no way to sway a stubborn mind.
Venti jumps over to you and plops himself down beside you. Leaning up against you which in turn cause a ferocious blush to spread across your cheeks, you spin away praying he missed it.
He didn’t of course.
Venti hums quietly to himself before finally piping up. “You know Y/N you’re so troublesome, I’d dare say more so than me!”
“No i’m not Venti!”
“You are so! You go about acting like you’re fine when there’s a question youve been dying to ask me all day, you can’t deny it I see through your lies.”
He booped you on the nose as your face snapped back to meet his turquoise gaze. HE KNEW?!
Venti whispered into your ear. “Kaeya told me, and yes. I’ll be your valentine.” He hummed sweetly before jumping up and singing once more.
You’d kill Kaeya if you ever saw him again, although he did get you your valentines so you couldn’t be too mad at him...
no you were defo mad and totally hit him as venti cheered you on
in the end you and Venti spent a wonderful day together singing and dancing and falling more madly in love than ever before, to top it off the two of you watched the stars from his statue.
Where you may or may not have shared a first kiss.
Tumblr media
Childe didn’t actually formally ask you to be his valentines but he had seen your troubled expression earlier and big brother instincts took place.
He had grabbed your hand and said “Girlie let’s have a little fun, shall we?”
And so the two of you spent the day together, running from stall to stall eating fine Liyue cuisine.
Playing festive valentine games and winning each one, you know how Childe is hes in it to win it no other way.
It was the end of the day when the two of you had found a spot not far from Liyue, but far enough to be alone.
There you two sat alone, well actually with a giant bear Childe had won for you.
This time you spoke up first. “Childe... I wanted to ask you and I know valentine’s day is basically over but... would you be my valentine?”
Childe was taken aback. “Ojou-chan...” He began. “Wasn’t that what we were doing all day?”
hold up. WHAT??
“No way! Childe that wasn’t- did you think that was a date?”
“THAT WASN’T A DATE?!”
It took awhile to explain but he finally realised that no it wasn’t a date. Ngl he was disappointed but then realised you asked him out anyways so he cheered up fast.
Please he’s just a child someone explain to him you have to formally ask these things...
Tumblr media
Okay please this man. “I have no interest in mortal festivities.”
He doesn’t. He really doesn’t. So lowkey like Childe you’re going to have to bring it up.
You go to Wangshu inn in hopes he hasn’t gone off to fight demons and as luck would have it he hasn’t!
You go up to his floor and see him staring across the endless Dihua marshas. In the golden light of the evening they’re actually something to marvel at.
You clear your throat in an attempt to get his attention.
He acknowledges your presence with a grunt and a, “What now?”
Nervously you step forwards and begin. “I made you almond tofu! A-and some chocolates... of course you don’t have to accept them but they’re for you so here!”
Xiao turns to face you. And unlike your expectations of having him meet you angrily at disturbing his peace hes actually surprised, shocked even. A mortal has never prepared him any kind of delicacy before.
Never mind that and chocolates. He isn’t oblivious to what you’re trying to do and he’s well accustomed to the ways of the Liyue people.
He knows exactly what he’s doing when he accepts them from you.
“I’m not very good with words... but if you want me to be your valentine you didn’t have to go through all the trouble. I may not care for mortal festivities but... I care for you.”
please marry me.
Tumblr media
HOHOHO Kaeya.
Kaeya knows what he’s doing better than anyone in the seven counties of Teyvat. He has it all planned out.
Meet you in the morning with chocolates and a bouquet of flowers and then bring you to his favourite restaurant for some of mond’s finest cuisine and then he’ll take you out of the city where the two of you can watch the stars while sipping on dandelion wine.
However, the moment he sees you standing at the fountain centered in mond he’s for once at a loss for words.
You were utterly breath taking, a sight that he wished to savour like a fabulous glass of a 60 year old bottle of death afternoon wine.
You turned around and spotted Kaeya, waving him over. For a moment he forgot himself and actually stood staring. Before realising he wasn’t frozen in place and ran over to you.
Kaeya grinned his usual charismatic smile and handed you chocolates and calla lilies.
“I was wondering perchance, if this fine lady would do me the honours of accompanying me on such a romantic holiday?”
With a charming grin and honey laced words who could say no? Of course you were madly in love with this man so you accepted within a heartbeat.
Believe me when I say, Kaeya knows how to treat a woman. And that’s like a queen.
Tumblr media
You went to visit him at Dawn Winery. He said he was too busy with work to come up to mond so you wanted to surprise him with a little gift; a box of chocolates prepared especially.
Like Xiao and Childe you were going to have to make the move with someone like Diluc. He didn’t care so much as for physical displays of affection and while he always took initiative love was a foreign language to him and so he didn’t know where to begin.
His butler let you in and you headed straight over to his office, knocking on his door.
“come in.” You heard the familiar low raspiness of his voice, a telltale sign he was overworking himself.
Upon entering you presented the chocolates with a proud smile. Almost immediately he got up from his seat and went over to greet you.
“I never expected to see you here Y/N but may I say you have made my day... and oh? What’s this?”
“Chocolates Diluc. I made them for you and I was uh... actually wondering something.”
He took them from your hands with a smile. He knew what you wanted to ask and yet he longed for you to speak the words.
“What is it Y/N?”
“Would you... be my valentine?”
Diluc’s smile grew, it was wider than you had ever seen it and it even seemed like a childish manour danced in his eyes.
He carefully embraced you and planted a kiss to your forehead sighing in pure bliss.
“I thought you’d never ask.”

okey okey but like for your sentience au thing, and in one of your recent asks
like the one where the characters finally break free, childe's part had me thinking on how they can always be with you
what if, whatever, character manages to escape but what if they were tiny. like the same character size on the device you play on.
like what if they were pocket sized, is basically what I'm saying. then they can be always with ya.
ya know.
ack, too much.
anyways..
I'm really liking your writing and ideas. I've turned on my notifs, so that I can always be updated on when you post. and I just, plse continue to write. obvi ion wanna sounds like I'm forcing ya to continue writing.
drink some water, not too much nor too little, eat, takes nap and take care of yourself
This is a GREAT idea thank you!
I hope I wrote it the way you were hoping so far!
They Escape the Game (Part 1)
(Pocket Edition)
Characters included in this part:
Xiao, Diluc, Kaeya
(I may make a PC version but it will more than likely just be HC’s because the only thing that would change would be the slight change in height)
Xiao
It took everything in him to finally decide to leave everything he knows behind and take a leap of faith out of the game. All he’s every known has been Genshin and ONLY genshin. So when he had finally gotten out of it he was more than surprised by what he saw.
When he had made it out, the first thing he was met by
Was you.
Except, you were h u g e.
You looked down at the tiny person in front of you who had just literally hopped out of your screen.
As you took a closer look your realized it was xiao.
HA, that can’t be right, right?
You went to poke him to make sure you weren’t just making it up but right before you did you felt his tiny hands push against yours a-bit.
“What are you doing?” He asked with his usually annoyed tone. Your eyes widened as you realized, this was in fact xiao. He just, popped out of your game.
You left the palm of your hand open as he hesitantly climbed on. You carefully raised him closer to your face as he grabbed onto your thumb to secure himself on your hand.
“Xiao?” You asked.
“Who else would it be.” He retorted, taking a quick glance at the very large objects around him. He was used to the large mountains in Liyue but nothing of this size.
Having the tiny man in the palm of your hand was such a weird feeling but you had to admit his tiny angry face did look adorable. You gently placed him back down as you began to think.
“How are you even here?”
“...” no response came from the tiny yaksha as he looked away, seemingly avoiding the question. He looked around your room a bit more and noticed that you had his mask on your wall.
“How did you get that.” He asked as he pointed to it, looking back down towards his hip where his now tiny mask still remained.
“Oh, this was a gift from a friend of mine.” You said as you carefully took it down and placed it in-front of him.
Carefully he stood on top of the mask and admired the detail, it was accurate to the one he had, which was impressive but he dare not say that out loud. He lightly hopped off the mask as he looked back at your phone that now had an empty space where he had been.
His mind did start to wander as he thought about how literally all he knew was essentially
A lie.
Not wanting to think about it to much he turned back towards you.
“Traveler... pick me up.” He demanded as his now outstretched hands wrapped around your finger as you lifted him back up to your face.
“I am now going to stay with you to protect you at all times. No, you do not have a say in this.” He proclaimed as you lightly chuckled.
“What’re you going to protect me with, a toothpick?” You joked and xiao pulled out his spear and lightly poked your finger, not enough to make you bleed but it still hurt causing you to almost drop him.
“Didn’t think that through, did you.” You laughed.
Going about daily life wasn’t too hard with Xiao always around. You found different places to hide him so if someone walked in they wouldn’t see him.
When going outside you attempted putting him in your pocket but it was a bit to much of a tight fit for him to stick his head out well. So you decided to get a small empty bag.
He’s often very quiet throughout the day, just enjoying being around you finally. He didn’t even care about how you looked he just wanted to be around you especially now that he’s in a huge world full of unfamiliar things.
Diluc
At first Diluc was unsure about dropping everything and leaving, since there was no guarantee of him getting back if he felt homesick. However, this thought was overruled when you had joined the game again.
He wasn’t one to just jump head first into things but this time he was sure about what he wanted to do. And before you could even do your normal greeting he had leaped from the screen.
He didn’t think about the fact that he had no idea where he was going to end up when he jumped through but that question was quickly answered when he landed in your face.
You immediately swatted at you face, thinking it was a bug, not caring to open your eyes and look at who it actually was.
Diluc hung on for dear life as you finally swatted him off but he luckily landed on the pillow in-front of you.
As you rubbed your mouth hoping to get the feeling of what you thought was a bug off your mouth you finally heard it.
“Traveler?” The voice said. It was a strong voice and sounded, a bit far away. You looked around for the voices host, but saw no one. Until you looked down at the pillow in front of you and noticed the small redhead who was standing there.
You had no idea what to say, this isn’t real right? But it’s so convincing. He practically look as if he was actually there.
“Diluc?” You asked hesitantly as he looked back up at you. This was the first time he had ever seen you face to face, you were a lot bigger than he had thought you were going to be but he found your features beautiful nonetheless.
You carefully put your hand down for him to climb up and he did. He held onto your thumb go slight security as you lifted him up to get a closer look, and sure enough, it was Diluc, down to every last detail.
“Oh my goodness it really is you! Why are you so small?” You asked, he shrugged his shoulders and turned back to look at the thing he popped out of which was your phone.
“Well I’m assuming since I come through that portal object over there, I ended up being no bigger than that size.” He said as you put him carefully back down on the phone.
“What is this thing anyways?” He asked as he tapped the sword attack button on your screen causing your character to attack.
“Ah, so that’s how you did it. I will admit this is a little bit weird for me.” He said as he turned back towards you.
“Are you still able to bring out your weapon and everything?” You asked and he nodded and drew his weapon. You were amazed to say the least. Your favorite character literally just popped out of your game.
“This is amazing! I can’t believe you’re here, how did you even manage to get out? Do you plan to go back? How would you even get back?” You rambled on with more and more questions as Diluc just calmly watched you as a small smile graced his features.
He didn’t care about getting back right now, all he cares about was that he was finally with you.
Kaeya
Your day had been pretty rough. Nothing was going right from the beginning so when you finally got back home you decided to just sit down and play Genshin.
When you entered you had realized Kaeya wasn’t in his usual spot which confused you but you decided to do a few quests before questioning it.
Eventually you had just gotten to the point in the Lantern Rite where you had to talk to Kaeya and you were ECSTATIC.
You made your way from Liyue to Mondstadt as fast as you could. And from a distance you could see the marker as it counted down the closer you got to it. As you made your way to fountain there he was.
He smiled at your presence as you ran around him in circles, trying your best to say hi. You stopped in front if him and went through the quest dialogue, praying to Barbatos that he wouldn’t disappear after wards, and lucky enough for you he didn’t!
You hopped up and down out if pure joy.
Kaeya chuckled a bit at your excitement as he put his hands on your characters shoulders to stop them from hopping.
“I have a little surprise for you, I’ve been working on it for a while. I need you to wait here.” He said as he backed up from your character. You watched him as he just disappeared.
“The hell?” You asked out loud, what kind of surprise was this? You expected him to appear back in front of you in game but it never happened.
You waited a little bit expecting something to happen, yet nothing did. Until you were met face to face with the blue haired Calvary captain.
Not expecting the sudden figure to just appear in-front of you freaked out and jumped up from where you were seated, cause Kaeya to go flying.
Luckily it was that far of a distance and he managed to land safely.
“Kaeya?” You asked, thinking you might’ve just had your phone to close to your face.
“Surprise!” He said, climbing back up your chair. He landed on a space where you both could see each other as he finally got a good look at your face.
You had no idea what to say as you looked at the tiny captain in-front of you. He still did some of his idle animations as he stood, waiting for your response.
“How did you get out?” You asked him, leaning down towards him a bit.
“I have my ways.” He replied. It’s Kaeya, did you really expect a full detailed answer? He looked around your room, taking in the new surroundings. It was nothing like he had seen in Mondstadt, for one thing there was technology.
This was entirely new to him, and there didn’t seem to be any weapons anywhere.
Your entire room was practically the size of Mondstadt to him.
“I must say, I didn’t actually think this would work, but I’m glad I could finally meet you.” He smiled, you smiled back, still unsure of what was happening and questioning if you should make an appointment with an eye doctor.
“How long have you been trying for?” You asked looking down at him, he paused as he thought of his answer, the time difference in your world was drastic from that of Teyvat.
“Well it’s hard to say but I have tried maybe, 25-30 times before. I was starting to lose hope if I’m being honest.” He admitted. You had no idea he was this dedicated to getting out of the game
To see you.
It was flattering but also a bit scary to think your favorite character has wanted to meet you just as much as you wanted to meet him.
“This height difference nah be a problem though.” He pointed out with a chuckle.
“We’ll figure something out I’m sure.” You responded
-Birdy
(This basically just serves as an introduction to the idea and hopefully I will have enough time to come back and expand on what they do as tiny people)

Affection II
Characters: Childe, Ganyu, Kaeya, gn!reader
Word Count: 5,577
Warnings: None
Premise: Sometime we know something is impossible from the start. But still we walk towards it, even if we know it will hurt us. It’s only flirting, only a smile or a hug or some food. Even if nothing comes of it, there is nothing to regret. Even if it hurts.
In which the reader gives affection, expecting nothing in return.
Author’s Note: Evidently I’ve really missed writing these properly. I had such a great time writing, and I hope you guys enjoy these just as much as I did.
Also I’ve decided the version on Ao3 will now always be without bullet points, so if you prefer that format the link will be in the reblog.
Childe
You’d been floored by Childe pretty much since the day you two had met.
What had turned into the two of you meeting had started out a most unfavorable encounter. You’d gone to Lingju Pass, trying to survey some of the carvings of the old structure, and attempting to see the sort of methods used to construct such vast rocky complexes at the time. Unfortunately this goal had quickly turned into a goal of “don’t get caught”, as you’d found the Pass crawling with Fatui members. Though you weren’t nearly helpless, you’d also not come prepared for battle; and had spent most of the “fight” dodging around various blows while trying not to drop the expensive equipment that you’d borrowed from other Guild members.
Just as you’d come to the conclusion that the options were either drop everything and run or get thoroughly injured by a bunch of arrogant Snezhnayan soldiers there was a change in the air. The Fatui soldiers’ expression turned from one of glee to one of confusion, and then one of panic, as one by one a streak of blue began to throw them this way and that. As you regained focus of the terrain your realized that it wasn’t a streak at all but a person, a person who was wildly adept at sword play. Eventually the number of unconscious people had risen to five, and there was no one left but him and you.
“Need any help?”
The words might’ve been kind, had it not been for the smirk on the man’s face. Though you felt that the right answers would’ve probably been to scowl, you found you couldn’t, too wrapped up in the memory of this mysterious person darting this way and that, handling his water-made daggers with the grace of a ballet dancer.
“I’m Childe.” These words finally brought you back to the present.
“You’re a member of the Fatui.”
“I am.”
“Then why did you knock those guys out just now?”
“Boredom.”
You stared at Childe incredulously. Of course you’d heard his name, the man who, it was whispered, almost pulled Liyue into the sea. You’d formed a sort of mental picture of him completely divorced from the redhead now standing in front of you, bouncing slightly on his feet as he smiled cockily. He looked more like a rogue adventurer than one of the heads of a crime syndicate. Maybe that was why you found yourself infatuated, rather than afraid.
This infatuation only grew, fed by the encounters that you had with Childe. It seemed now you couldn’t avoid him, not that you wanted to. What had begun as a chance encounter multiplied into two, into four; soon enough you two had struck up a sort of friendship, one that baffled everyone else around you.
Of course you hadn’t lost all your sense, knowing quite well that the puppy love you were feeling could never be anything more. The way Childe talked about his work, about his duty to the Tsaritsa, made it very clear that he wouldn’t let a partner in his life or in his loyalties. And even if he changed his mind, why would he choose you? You were an adventurer sure, but you hadn’t even been able to properly defend yourself the first time the two of you met, and your oversight of that would’ve surely turned Childe away. Besides, Childe could probably make a partner out of anyone he wanted, if they were foolish enough. Why should that person be you?
Perhaps it was that knowledge that allowed you to be so free in your affection, spurred on by Childe’s own open nature. Hand holding, hugging, leaning one’s head on the other’s shoulder, it was the language of friendship that you two had adopted, and something that you greatly appreciated. There was something nice about a friendship in which one could be so open about caring about someone, without expecting things to go farther. Because you didn’t, you really didn’t. And though that might’ve been a bit painful, it was a small price to pay for Childe’s company.
“I’m going off to Mondstadt for a bit.”
“What?”
You drew away from Childe a bit to look into his face. The two of you were walking along the path towards Yaoguang Shoal, as Childe had taken a particular liking to the Starconches that lined its shores. Now he smiled awkwardly, squeezing your hand and shrugging his shoulders.
“I know, I know. There’s apparently this branch of the Fatui holed up there right now, and I’ve been asked to consult about something, though archons know what it is.”
“How long will you be gone?”
“I’m not sure, I think about two weeks? I’m not sure what exactly is going on, but the troops really must be in disarray if they need me skulking around for the next two weeks.” He let out a awkward laugh.
“I’ll miss you.” You replied, bumping your head into his shoulder and frowning. “It’s very boring without you.”
“I’m sure you’ll be perfectly capable without me.” Childe smiled, one eyebrow raised slightly. “After all, what would you do if I left someday, permanently. You’d have to find a way without me.”
“Let’s not talk about that.” You replied hurriedly, switching the conversation towards something more pleasant. Unfortunately however the words had already been said, and the damage had already been done.
It had been two weeks since Childe had left for Mondstadt, and though normally you might’ve been waiting at the city gates for his return, you found yourself on the familiar road towards Lingju. Childe’s words had been ringing in your ears for the past two weeks, and you’d found the more time passed the more you kept thinking about them.
What would you do if I left someday, permanently. Is that what Childe truly wanted? To leave? The idea made your stomach hurt, as you began once more to run all your interactions through your head, as if trying to find a flaw in the strips of memory you had of Childe. Was that what Childe truly wanted, or was it simply that he was sick of you? When he’d said “you’d have to find a way without me” did that mean he wanted to find a way without you? Perhaps you’d been too forward, too demanding. Perhaps he’d managed to realize your feelings and felt repelled by them. Had it been too much, meeting him almost everyday for some periods of time, eating lunch together and sometimes dinner. What about that time you’d invited him over to your house to play a game? Had that been too much?
You sighed, dragging yourself over the final ridge. Sitting down to take a rest you closed you eyes. You hated that your mind wandered this way, that no matter what you couldn’t help but ask yourself again and again, what had you done. What would Childe think about this sad person laying on the ground, the sad part was you couldn’t answer that question.
The sound of footsteps brought you back to the present, and you let out a suppressed groan at the figures in your line of sight.
“Don’t you guys ever get posted anywhere else?” You rolled your eyes, reaching behind your back to summon your polearm.
“You’re trespassing.” The voice that came out of the Electro Vanguard was so deep and distorted as to be hilarious.
“Lastly I checked you were neither a citizen of Liyue, nor Rex Lapis, so if anyone’s “trespassing” on public territory it’s you.” You sighed. “Oh well. Unfortunately you caught me on a day where I’m somewhat prepared.” With that you lunged towards the Hydro Legionnaire and the fight began.
Fighting when one is already frustrated is both a blessing and a curse. The fight itself was almost invigorating, the first Fatui hit the ground and with it you felt part of your worries fade away, if only for the small window of time which this fight offered. Was this why Childe fought so much? The though crossed your mind as you whirled behind the Pyro Bracer and pressed as much Electro as you dared into the back of his head, tripping him with the staff of your polearm on his way down.
Soon enough there was only you and the Electro Vanguard left. Unfortunately you were beginning to feel the other side affect of anger, that being misfocus. Being more versed in using your polearm as a sort of lightning rod your found the Vanguard much harder to deal with, more than once barely diving out of the way of the hammer he was swinging around, surprisingly light on his feet considering what the weight must be. Your anger was quickly draining, turning into something more akin to panic, and as you found yourself stumbling more and more you realized that today was really, really not your day.
The Vanguard was becoming aware of how fast you were tiring, a gravelly sort of laugh emerging from behind his mask. As you found your with you back to the slope you wondered if it was just worth it to make an escape. The Fatui swung his hammer once more, barreling towards you. Having nothing left to do you put your polearm out in front of you, hoping that your arms were strong enough not to recoil against the inevitable blow. Closing your eyes you thought of nothing, drowning in a sea of panic. If there was any coherent part of your brain it wished that you weren’t here, that you just stayed home, or swallowed you pride and gone to the gate. But it was too late now, and you were about to get hit.
However the blow never landed, instead a loud sound pierced the air. Whipping your arms open you saw the Electro Vanguard stumble, his hammer having been dropped on the ground. He was grasping towards his ankle, in which was stuck an arrow, glowing a faint aquamarine. Swearing the Fatui member glanced around, before stumbling away, dragging his weapon and his left leg behind him like dead weight.
“Some things never change, huh?”
“Childe!” You whirled towards your once again savior, face burning from embarrassment. “I took out the rest of them this time.”
“I can see that,” said Childe, surveying the area, a telltale smirk on his face, “very impressive. Although, if I may suggest, next time try to take out the Electro Vanguard first, especially since you don’t wield a weapon made for pure damage.”
“Is this turning into a teaching moment?”
“Absolutely not.” Childe laughed.
You found the sound catching, and soon a smile spread across your face as you let your polearm disappear once more. You ran up to Childe, and were about to throw you arms around his neck in a characteristic hug, when the thoughts of before came ramming back into your brain. Taking a step back you planted your arms firmly in front of you, hoping that maybe Childe hadn’t noticed what you’d been about to do.
However Childe approached you instead.
“You weren’t at the gate today.” He said coyly, lips drifting somewhere between a smirk and a frown.
“I’m sorry.” You lowered your head. “I just thought, well maybe that would be better. Since you said you might be leaving permanently and all, and since you were right when you said I’d have to figure things out without you, I don’t know, I thought maybe it’d be for the best.”
Looking up the expression on Childe’s face could only be described as one of complete disbelief. For a moment he stayed frozen in place.
“What in Teyvat do you mean I’m leaving permanently?”
“You said that! Remember… when we were going to pick sea shells you said that you were leaving.” You stepped back, cheeks flushed. “Or maybe you were just sort of sick of me or something.”
“Why would you ever think that?” Childe walked up to you, enveloping one of the hands at your side in his own and bringing it up towards him.
“I… I don’t know,” you replied, feeling very confused and very foolish, “I thought maybe that I was being too affectionate, or too clingy. I mean I know you don’t like me or anything like that. And I thought maybe that I was crossing the boundaries of our friendship.”
“I don’t like you? I’ve liked you since almost the first day we’ve met!”
“Not like that! I mean, like like, you know? As in… well, as in I… I love you.” You let your voice peter out.
“I love you too!” Childe let out. Shaking his head he smiled widely. “That’s what I’m trying to say. I’ve liked you since almost the first time we’ve met. I wasn’t trying to shoo you away.”
“What?” Your brain was short circuiting. Something had gone terribly wrong. You’d definitely been knocked out at some point, and was now hallucinating. There was no way Childe liked you, loved you. He could love anyone, why would he love you.
Childe stepped closer, moving so that your foreheads were almost pressed together.
“May I?” He whispered, voice almost shy. You nodded, a just as small “yes” escaping your lips before Childe cut off your ability to say anything more. It was a short kiss, sweet and chaste, and yet you felt everything around you suddenly come into sharp, almost lucid clarity. You weren’t dreaming. This was happening. This was Childe and he liked you. Childe like you. He liked you, he really liked you.
“Why?” You let out, when the two of you separated. Thankfully Childe remained close to you, being without his presence now would’ve been quite lonely.
“Why what?”
“Why me? I’m not, I don’t know, I can’t even knock out an Electro Vanguard without help.”
Childe let out a laugh, lovely as music.
“I don’t know,” he replied, eyes sparkling, “because you’re you. And I like you.”
And all of a sudden you found that that was enough.
 Ganyu
The days that you accompanied Ganyu on her various errands were the ones in which you were most aware that you were on a level utterly below her.
Of course humans could never really measure up to adepti, after all they made the world and humans simply lived in it. Still in terms of humans, well you weren’t exactly pushing exceptional. If Ganyu represented all that was exceptional about the adepti, well then you represented the average human who didn’t like their job and overall went about their day as unnoticeable as an ant on the road.
Of course Ganyu never acted in a way that would betray the imbalance between the two of you. Indeed Ganyu was nothing if not kind, sweet, and utterly without a semblance of hierarchy. It was one of the things that you adored about her, the straightforward honesty she carried with her, and the way that she appeared not to judge living beings on a scale, even if that was the right of those who were higher and didn’t have to worry about said scale.
“Can you carry this for me?” Ganyu’s voice was soft and somewhat hesitant. You smiled widely, knowing that Ganyu simply had difficulty asking other people for help.
“Of course I can!” Scooping up the package that was stretched out towards you, you saw Ganyu let out a short sigh of relief.
“Thank you.”
“Of course! I’m always happy to help you. Where are we taking this?”
“Over to the funeral parlor. It seems that there are some tiles in here that are being used for a specific ritual. Hu Tao said that the family wanted it, I hope she doesn’t actually mean she pushed them towards it.” Ganyu let out a soft sigh. “She once suggested advertising for cremation. Somehow I feel that won’t exactly be welcomed by the people.”
“No one likes to be reminded of their own mortality. Ah, but Hu Tao is doing her best, and if these tiles end up being insulators, I suppose we can’t do much about it. I’ll make sure not to drop them anyways. Getting on Hu Tao’s bad side feels like asking for a prank.”
“You’re probably right.” Ganyu chuckled.
You blushed slightly, loving the way her laugh sounded, soft and open. You knew Ganyu struggled sometimes; she admitted to you herself that it was very difficult to live an existence defined by liminality. Was she an adeptus? Was she a human? She was neither, and yet both would claim her and call her other. In understanding this Ganyu had retreated into herself. Perhaps that’s why her laugh meant so much.
As you strolled down the docks an angry voice cut through the air.
“Qixing!”
Both of you turning around you saw Bolai, heaving slightly, teetering his way towards you. His face was stormy, and for a moment you wondered if someone had stolen something. His words when he caught up however revealed a very different motivation.
“I demand justice!”
“What for?” Ganyu asked, voice deadly serious once more.
“What for? For what Huixin said in regards to me! For the Liyue Qixing complying with disgusting rumors as to the ways in which I conduct my business and my finances. As to the way that you promised to help me then turned on me!”
“I see…” Ganyu sighed as you wracked your brain, trying to remember what she’d told you about the time that she and the traveler ran around trying to detangle various examples of tax fraud. “Have you considered putting up a formal complaint?” Ganyu meanwhile was still trying to keep professional, something that you admired her for.
“How am I supposed to trust the Qixing after what happened? No! I demand compensation now!”
“Sir, I’m sure you’re quite upset, but there’s no need to act in such a way. If you wish to clear your name, then we can meet in private and review the testimony and documents we received. If not, then I’m afraid there is nothing I can do for you. I’m very sorry.”
Ganyu turned back towards the direction in which you two had been previously walking. Evidently too agitated to think properly Bolai let out a strangled cry.
“We’re not finished yet!” Reaching out, he seemed to be attempting to turn Ganyu around by the shoulder. Having been standing there unthinking you now moved to block the action, knowing that Bolai didn’t really mean anything by it, but not trusting the man who looked like he was about to burst a blood vessel. Bolai’s hand instead smacked into the box in your hands, which slipped from your grip and fell to the floor in a great crash.
Time seemed to slow down somewhat after this, as Bolai stepped backwards and Ganyu turned around, face one of evident horror at the scene. You felt your face begin to burn as you looked at the unassuming box, which now looked a little bit the worse for wear.
“What…” Ganyu trailed off. Bolai waved his hands about in a panicked sort of way.
“That wasn’t me! That wasn’t my fault! It was this person they… I don’t know what they were thinking, getting in the way like that. How idiotic! This is nothing but a mess, a disgrace!”
Normally you wouldn’t pay Bolai’s words any mind, but now they seemed to pierce right through, as you realized all the trouble you’d just caused Ganyu. Glancing over towards her you found you could neither look her in the eyes nor stay where you were.
“I-I’m sorry!” You stammered. Moving to pick up the box you found your hand hesitating. Fearing that you’d just make things worse you pulled yourself and dashed in the opposite direction, speeding up the docks and towards the outskirts of the city.
Normally the view from Mount Tianheng was one that stole your breath away. Today however the mountain seemed completely uninteresting, especially when compared to the thoughts racing in your head.
How had you gotten here, how had you messed up so much? Ganyu didn’t need your posturing, your attempt to help. She was an adeptus for Morax’s sake! And who were you? Someone who couldn’t even carry a box from Point A to Point B. And now you’d just caused more trouble for Ganyu, when she already had so much to do.
“I’m such a failure.” You groaned into your palms.
“You aren’t!” You lifted your head at the soft exclamation, already knowing who the voice belonged to. Ganyu sidled up to the ledge of the mountain silently, fidgeting with her hands. “May I sit next to you?”
“Of course.” You replied, grateful that Ganyu was even talking to you. Smiling softly the Qixing Emissary let out a soft sigh.
“I love the view of the city from here.” She spoke softly, eyes on the horizon.
“I do too.”
“There’s something so lovely about watching everyone go about their day, isn’t there? To see the people work in harmony to bring prosperity and peace to the city of Liyue. To see how everyone continues on the legacy of Rex Lapis.”
“That’s a lot to see.” You joked, still feeling a little uncomfortable, as if Ganyu might in a minute get up and leave.
“But can’t you see it?” Ganyu’s voice was earnest and her eyes shined. “It’s wonderful how people do it, how they continue to make this city thrive, to keep the contracts of Morax alive and within living memory.”
“Perhaps it’s just harder for humans to judge it themselves?”
“Perhaps.” Ganyu’s expression shifted into something, almost shy, not quite melancholic. “Just like how you’re finding it difficult to forgive yourself.”
“I’m so sorry Ganyu. I don’t know what I was thinking! I just… I just, wasn’t thinking.”
“You were trying to be kind.” Ganyu replied, something almost akin to blush coating her cheeks. “And I have to thank you for that.”
“But I just caused more trouble…”
“You were trying to be kind,” Ganyu repeated, “like I said, you’re finding it difficult to forgive yourself. But you have to. You didn’t truly do anything that needs forgiveness.”
“But I was doing it for completely selfish reasons!” You blurted out, embarrassment and doubt turning into the words you never wanted to utter. “It’s because I like you, and not just because I was trying to be nice. But because, because maybe I wanted to do something for you, and then maybe I’d be good enough maybe.” Realizing how odd that just sounded you turned your head away. For a moment your words hung in the air, and the longer the silence continued the longer you thought about how utterly selfish you were.
“Thank you.” There was a smile in Ganyu’s voice, and as you turned your head once more you could see it plastered across her face.
“For what?”
“For telling me you like me.”
“But… but isn’t it just burdening you? After all I’m not good enough for you.”
“You are!” Ganyu’s voice was firm. “You’re absolutely good enough for me. And what you did, you call it selfishness, but I don’t understand that. Being kind to people you like isn’t selfish, even if you like them. Because this time you were genuinely helping me. Besides, if that’s selfish then I’ve also been terribly selfish.”
“How?”
“By asking you to accompany me everywhere. Because maybe, maybe I like you too.”
For a moment you wondered if you hadn’t accidentally slipped off the cliff, so weightless did you feel. A bit lightheaded you leaned forward.
“Really?”
“Yes.” Ganyu smiled nervously. Reaching out she took your hand in hers.
The two of you watched the sun set over the city of contracts mostly in silence. Every once in a while there would be a spurt of conversation, but mostly there was nothing but the sounds of the birds and the cicadas, and the pounding of two hearts, hearts both a bit ragged from the events of the day.
For what a day it had been. And how wonderfully it had ended.
 Kaeya
If you could use anything as justification for your crush on Kaeya, he did flirt with you. Unfortunately he also flirted with everyone else in Mondstadt.
“How’s my favorite knight of Favonius?” Kaeya’s cocky voice was clear as a bell, and for a moment your heart flipped as the handsome knight came into view, smile as lovely as it had been the day before.
“Blessed by the presence of our beloved cavalry captain.” You replied in a singsong voice.
The first time Kaeya had used that line on you it felt like your soul had left your body and your heart had run a marathon. Unfortunately you’d heard him use practically the same line on Rosaria the next day, his favorite mysterious nun, robbing you of your fantasy in which Kaeya had any interest for you.
Your banter however was not without genuine feeling. You were utterly infatuated with Kaeya, having fallen for the handsome knight about two weeks into your own training. Originally having been an adventurer you’d joined the knights relatively recently after a series of Abyss attacks on the City of Freedom. As such Kaeya had by then already occupied an exalted position among the ranks, and the hours of being trained, teased, and flirted at by the mysterious cavalry captain had been enough to throw you head over heels.
Not that you’d ever expect things to develop more than they already had. Having a crush on the flirtiest man in Mondstadt did mean that you were praised every once in a while, but it also meant that the praise meant little more than empty words, and that there was always someone else who had heard them. Not that you begrudged those people, not knowing them or not caring. It was Kaeya’s right to be as he was, flirty and irreverent; and you’d never ask him to change that part of himself, or any other.
To do so would be to change the person you’d grown to love.
You trotted up the steps of the Favonius headquarters, opening the door with a slight “oof” before stepping into the cool building. Today was going to be a quiet sort of day for the knights, and you’d been assigned to pick up a few books from Jean’s office to be recorded by Lisa before being sent off to the Church. Going to open the door you paused at the voices inside.
“– saying it’s nothing.”
“And I’m saying that it’s becoming a distraction. I don’t want to control your actions Kaeya, but this pining has been slowing down your work, and we need you as one of our most crucial members to be on top of things.”
“I’m not pining.”
“What do you mean you aren’t pining,” Jean let out a snort, “as if it’s not obvious to everyone around you. Look, I’m not saying you have to break things off –”
“Good, because they haven’t even begun.”
“Then maybe that’s part of your problem. Maybe if you told them you liked them then you’d be able to get back on track.”
“I’m doing my best.”
“You aren’t doing anything. And that’s the problem.”
You didn’t hear the rest of the conversation, having made your way over to the library as to make sure that you were get caught, and to cool your head in regards to what you’d just heard.
So Kaeya liked someone. You shouldn’t’ve really been surprised. Kaeya was a wonderful person; intelligent, good with a weapon, polite, handsome. What person wouldn’t fall in love with him? And when everyone’s in love with you, well, it was unsurprising that eventually Kaeya would find someone who he loved back just as much. Then, why did it hurt?
You fought the urge to wrack your brain for the people Kaeya spoke most about, finding the act beneath you. Still, your mind wandered. Perhaps it was Rosaria after all, or maybe it was only because you remembered her. Perhaps it was the sword smith who came twice monthly to check up on the weaponry. Or perhaps it was the tailor, who could sew anything with the utmost care. Or perhaps it was a musician, or an archivist, or another knight. Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps.
Your head swam and you found your eyes stinging. Now wasn’t the time to cry, not when you needed to honor your appointment with Jean, not when you were somewhere where any one of your colleagues might discover you. Not where Kaeya might walk in any minute and realize what you’d done. This thought finally brought you out of the spiral of your mind. Making sure that any tears that might’ve escaped were wiped away you took a deep breath, steadying yourself before you walked out of the library and into Jean’s office.
Evidently you must’ve looked much worse than you thought, for Jean took one look at you and ordered you home, grumbling about how much trouble there had been recently. You thanked her half-heartedly before making your way out of the Headquarters, heart heavy as lead. At least work would’ve been a welcome distraction.
Arriving home you saw what Jean meant. Though you weren’t particularly teary, your face had taken on an ashen pallor that made it look like you’d either just gotten a shock, fainted, or had suddenly contracted consumption. Letting out a sigh you collapsed on the couch of your apartment. You knew you should probably do something, should eat or work on some extra work or something. But right now you didn’t want to do any of that. You just wanted to forget.
The knock that sounded at your door was extremely unwelcome, and you bit back bitter words as you made your way over to the door. Any protest however was silenced at the sight of Kaeya, hair slightly tussled, expression opaque, on your doorstep.
“Kaeya.” You meant to sound more peppy, but the action felt too tiring. “What’re you doing here?”
“Making sure that you’re alright. Jean told me that you looked unwell, and we can’t have our best knight getting sick, now can we?”
“I’m fine. Just a little tired.”
You went to turn around, when Kaeya reached over and place his hand on your forehead. Freezing you let out a sound somewhere between a strangled cry and a shriek. Kaeya didn’t react to this however, or the red quickly spreading across the bridge of your nose. Instead he let out a sigh, before smiling, something which also caused your heart to seize up.
“Not running a fever. I’m glad. Do you know what’s wrong by any chance?”
“Yes. No! I mean, I think, I, I just need rest.”
“You can tell me if something’s wrong. I might not be able to help, but I can try. Consider it the duty of the Cavalry Captain. Have to keep up appearances, even among the ranks.”
“Really Kaeya, I’m fine.”
“You don’t seem fine.” Kaeya’s eye seemed to pierce through your soul. “You seem… upset, exhausted. Please, let me help.”
“I can’t…” Your voice cracked and you turned your head away, mortified by your inability to control yourself.
“What do you mean you can’t?” Kaeya’s voice was filled with sudden worry. “Is someone doing something to you?”
“No! No one is. I just can’t because, because it’d be selfish.”
“What do you mean?” Kaeya’s tone had become utterly perplexed, and for a moment you felt the crazy urge to laugh. As if it wasn’t painfully obvious why you couldn’t. This was so tiring. You were so tired.
“Because it’s not fair of me to take away your happiness just because of my own feelings.”
“I don’t understand.”
“I heard you talking to Jean,” you explain, face burning, “she said that you liked someone. Or maybe you did, I don’t remember. Anyways you like someone and it’s not fair of that to hurt me, I have no right to your feelings. But, but it hurts, it really, really hurts.”
The silence when you finished was miserable. You weren’t even looking up at Kaeya, not wanting to see the destruction of a friendship you valued so much.
“Have you considered that the person I’m so infatuated with might be you?”
When you looked up you caught a wave of emotions, similar in strength to the ones currently going through you, plastered over Kaeya’s face. Happiness, sadness, regret, relief; all these things danced in his eyes. In that moment you loved him even more for it, for knowing that he understood, and that he too couldn’t hide the affects of having someone you loved so close and yet so far.
Saying nothing you walked over and slowly stretched your hand out. Kaeya took the hand in his, and you reveled in the small intimacy, in his calloused fingers enveloping yours.
“I’m not good enough.” You pointed out, voice soft.
“You aren’t the one who decides who I love.” Kaeya replied, voice firm. “To me there is no one else worthy in the world. Only you. And I hope that I can be the same for you, that I can be worthy.”
“Yes. Oh yes.”
For Kaeya was more than simply worthy. He was the one you loved the most, as well as the one who’d now made you the happiest person you could ever dream of.

wine ( diluc ragnvindr )
synopsis: if there was ever a fate worse than death, you were sure it would be your own—to watch the man you’ve loved and longed for from afar slowly fall in love with someone else.  pairing: diluc ragnvindr x gn!reader  word count: 0.9k  warnings: cw for alcohol consumption  inspired by: “forever, forgotten” by @favoniuscodex and wine by clara benin
a/n: if you’re reading this, hello and thank you for reading my first-ever genshin impact imagine :) this was inspired by none other than the lovely favoniuscodex and their absolutely heartwrenching “forever, forgotten” scenarios, along with the song “wine” by clara benin—both of which i have linked above. once again, thank you so much, and i hope you enjoy reading :)
edit: wine now has a sequel which you can read here !
you don’t think you’ve ever seen his eyes twinkle this brightly in years.
and, even better—well, more like worse, but you weren’t about to let yourself admit that—was the way you could see the beginnings of a smile forming on his face, a smile that seemed to be verging on a little too wide to only be polite as he talked to her.
you thought diluc would have treated her like the rest of her fellow diplomats than jean had coerced him into receiving as guests: respectful, polite, with not a single sliver of disinterest or exasperation to be seen at having been roped into what clearly should’ve been the ordo favonius’s business—yet here he was, looking rather invested in whatever she’s been running her mouth off about for the past hour or so ever since the banquet the knights had held in honor of her delegation’s arrival to mondstadt had started.
you quickly quell the rising ache in your chest with a burning gulp of wine.
you hated it. that much you allowed yourself to admit. elaborating on what “it” exactly meant, though, was where you drew the line; because admitting meant losing, and losing meant accepting—like having to accept the fact that you hated the sight of her next to diluc.
“ah, fuck,” you utter under your breath. you’ve already said too much. you might as well just fess up to the rest while you’re at it. you take another scorching gulp of wine, feeling the bittersweet buzz grow more bitter than sweet as you watch diluc’s smile grow uncharacteristically wider as he continues conversing with her.
you hated the sight of her with him. you hated the way you clearly saw her fall in love with him at first sight as she sat with her fellow diplomats while diluc and jean welcomed her delegation to the city. you hated the way she clung to him, practically hanging onto his arm at each, every, and any opportunity she could. you hated the way she had no shame in flirting with him, growing ever bolder and pushier with her advances even as diluc graciously dodged each and every one of them with a respectful impartiality.
most of all, though—what you hated the most was the fact that her efforts seemed to actually be working.
from being courteous if not a little distant, you could see and practically feel diluc grow closer to her, both in proximity and in bond. you’d practically made the cat’s tail your watering hole these last couple of weeks solely because you couldn’t stand the sight her sitting at what was your usual spot, doing your usual activity of chatting with him for hours on end in between drinks and his bartending.
if you were both jealous and dumb enough you’d most definitely have accused her of attempting to usurp you—and while you were indeed jealous (a sour grin curls at your lips at your admission), you at least had half a mind to know she wasn’t doing anything of the sort at all; simply because you knew you weren’t even close to what she was now becoming to diluc.
because unlike her, you’ve never made his eyes twinkle. you’ve never made him smile as warm as the way he does at her now. you’ve never made him chuckle so easily like her while you’ve lost count of how many times you’ve tried and failed to even make him crack the smallest grin.
and, you bitterly conceded with one last gulp of your wine, you were sure he’d never think of you as anything else other than a friend, seeing as you know it’s been the way he’s always thought of you for years.
try as you might, you were just far too late to the game. when you’d first realized you’d fallen for diluc, you insisted on keeping things slow and steady, to not rush things and simply confess your feelings to him when you thought the right time would come… but it never came—or, at least, every time it came you’d always tell yourself the exact opposite and to do it at another time. in your determination not to lose him, to not let the man you’ve loved for as long as you can remember slip away from your grasp within mere moments of you uttering the three words you were paranoid would scare him away, you ended up losing him anyway, just as you feared.
and now, here you were, reaping the consequences of your actions (or lack thereof, to be more precise), watching yourself losing him to someone else right before your very eyes.
your lips twitch up into another sour, sour grin.
as if you ever had a chance to win, anyway.
you turn away from the scene the moment you begin to feel the wine catch up to you. you debate on turning around and taking a look at the relationship that’s been blossoming before your eyes this entire time—but at the last minute, you decide against it. you’ve hurt yourself enough thus far. to take one last look would be nothing short of a killing blow.
with short, quick steps that swiftly navigate through the crowd of diplomats and knights, you make your way towards the exit, but stop to look over at kaeya, standing and sipping away at his drink of choice.
“kaeya.”
kaeya turns towards you at the sound of your voice, a sly smirk already creeping up on his face as he does. “mm? yes?”
“do you mind doing me a favor?”
“why, sure. what is it?”
“tell diluc good luck.”
kaeya’s sly smirk instantly morphs into a look of confusion. “good luck? whatever for?”
you offer him a smile, a wink, and nothing more before you leave.

Kaeya can’t help but think that you would have made an amazing knight.
You were born with all the qualities needed for the job: a quick wit, a reassuring demeanor, a natural respect for the Anemo Archon, and a blinding devotion to serving the people of Mondstadt to top it all off. Inside you seemed to be a fierce combination of Diluc, Jean, Varka—and Kaeya can’t deny that, in your early training days, he sometimes saw himself in your unfailing persistence—and you seemed to carry everyone's best traits only, all weaknesses of character cast to the side.
Yes, the man muses, continuing to write his report. An amazing knight indeed.
He still remembers how popular you were during your training years. Captains and soldiers alike stepped away from their taverns to spend their free time watching you, someone they all imagined to be the future of the Ordo, the next grandmaster, someone even Jean couldn’t hide her favoritism for.
Kaeya can’t say he blames any of them. He was always among the spectators, of course, watching you train, eavesdropping on your conversations in the mess hall, taking stalker-like measures to decode the enigma that was you.
In the beginning, it was out of wariness.
Kaeya was disinclined to believe that anyone could be so perfect, so pure. He assumed that you were putting up a facade, that the way you always took the long way home to help any citizens who crossed your path was nothing but a vicious scheme to gain Mondstadt’s trust so you could betray it—but soon, he learned that it wasn’t a lie. That you truly were this good a person. That your blinding naivety was natural, and not even a little feigned.
That was around when Kaeya began to watch over you, not as a potential threat, but as a subject of interest.
He found that everything about you was sincere. That you were one of the only knights who wouldn’t lie about their numbers for the bi-annual physical evaluations, who would spend their free time scouting out hillichurl camps and anonymously reporting them, who would wake up early to get extra training in, who would do anything and everything you could think of to better equip you to serve Mondstadt.
Kaeya found it endearing. You were so sweet, so diligent, so noble.
Too noble, if Kaeya’s honest.
He’s glad that he was the first one to take advantage of it.
It started off with a casual comment during training. Your instructor was on bedrest after getting ambushed by some Electro slimes while swimming in a lake, so Kaeya had been asked to fill in. He paced down the line of your fellow soldiers-in-training slowly, offering loud compliments and gentle corrections to everyone he walked past, only for him to come to a halt at you.
“Come on, I’m sure you can do better than that. Training is no joke, cadet. Please take this seriously.”
You practically froze when he said that to you.
His words were whispered, hushed low into your ear as if Kaeya didn’t want to embarrass you by chastizing you publicly, as if Kaeya was still the amicable Cavalry Captain everyone knew him to be, as if his criticism of you was genuine and wasn’t a stupid lie to make you question yourself.
It took all of Kaeya’s self-restraint to keep his expression neutral as he moved on. No doubt, it was the first time anyone had ever spoken to you as if you were failing to meet expectations instead of surpassing them—and Kaeya half-expected you to protest, to argue that you were doing a better job than everyone else in the room.
He was pleasantly surprised when you mumbled an even more determined “Yes sir,” before continuing.
A perfect soldier indeed.
After that, you seemed determined to impress Kaeya. He could see the hierarchy in your mind: the fact that, although Jean was higher in authority, her praise meant less to you than Kaeya’s because he was the only one to not be impressed.
After you set your sights on impressing him, it was all over for you.
Crushing your spirit was an easy feat for Kaeya. You were a brilliant soldier, probably the strongest recruit the Ordo has had since Diluc, but you were nothing exceptional when it came to mind games. The occasional “do you need a break, cadet?” and the more often “there’s no shame in admitting weakness, solder” began to wear into you. Whereas before you responded to his every criticism with a fierce determination to do better, Kaeya could sense the change when you began to think your efforts futile, when you began to feel like the Cavalry Captain you so wanted to impress would, seemingly, never find you as exceptional as everyone else did.
Kaeya still remembers the devastated look on your face when you barged into his office at midnight on the eve of your official recruitment into the Ordo.
“What do I have to do?!” you blurted, hands balled in fists. “What do I have to do to make you think I deserve to be a knight?!”
Kaeya recalls how surprised he’d been at that. He stared at you, that night, with genuine shock at your outburst.
Before, he assumed that your attempts to impress him had merely been out of a selfish desire to earn the praise of everyone around you. Yet, there you stood, cute little tears building in your eyes as you revealed that the true reason was that you felt bad joining the knights without his approval, as if Kaeya was some benchmark that you needed to pass.
Very well, the knight remembers thinking. With your official graduation from soldier-in-training to soldier, Kaeya had been prepared to release the possessive grip he had around you...but when you presented him with such an obvious opportunity to take what he wanted, who was he to resist?
“It’s not anything you can change, cadet. Some people are meant to be soldiers. Some people aren’t. I already know which kind you are, but it doesn’t matter.”
Every word Kaeya said had been carefully placed. He phrased his response in a perfect way, all to prompt the inevitable question from your soft, sweet lips:
“A-and which kind am I?”
“Which kind of what?” Kaeya asked, pretending as if he was barely giving this conversation any thought. He brought his eyes down to the map that he was detailing, pretending to continue working on it.
“Wh-which kind of knight do you think I am?”
Kaeya remembers how hard it had been to stop a vicious smile from spreading across his face.
“You don’t want to know, cadet.”
“I do, Captain! I really do! Y-your opinion matters to me!”
“Oh?” That had been the first time Kaeya placed his quill down. “So if I tell you that I don’t think you’re ready to be a knight, you’ll heed my advice?”
“Well…”
Your sheepish expression had been almost too much to bear.
“If you came here to ask for my opinion just to ignore it, I’d advise going elsewhere. Please don't waste my time. The Ordo will spend enough resources trying to turn you into a half-decent knight, so don’t disregard all of that by—”
“Why?” you practically sobbed. You’d come forward and placed your palms flat against the surface of Kaeya’s desk, a pose that would have been wholly intimidating if not for the tears building in your eyes. “Why don’t you think I’ll make a good knight? Why won’t I—” you’d broken off to wipe away the tears that had begun to spill. “Why won’t I be able to help the Knights of Favonius?”
Instantly, Kaeya had risen and walked over you to wrap you in his arms.
You were confused, no doubt, because the captain had been anything but kind to you in your previous interactions, but you openly sobbed into Kaeya’s chest, gripping the fabric of his jacket weakly.
“I j-just want to help—I just want to m-m-make Mondstadt safer—I j-just—just want—”
“Of course you can help,” Kaeya whispered gently into your ear, wiping your tears away. “You’d be an invaluable resource to the city. It’s just that serving as a knight would be useless when you could be so much more useful.”
That stole your attention.
Instantly, you looked up at Kaeya with hopeful eyes.
“R-really? You think I can...actually help?”
Kaeya remembers how even he had been unable to stop the cruel smile from spreading across his face when he realized that you genuinely believed his words all this time: thinking yourself lesser, weaker, inferior to your fellow cadets.
“Of course you can,” Kaeya whispered into your ear, gentle as the setting sun.
And in this way, he managed to persuade you in a single night to abandon your dreams of becoming a soldier. Easily, he made you understand that such a thing was futile. Soldiers were expendable, and when Kaeya asked you if you thought you were expendable, you shook your head like a good girl and said you wanted to be alive to protect Mondstadt, not a dead body that could do nothing.
Still, you would have made an amazing knight.
Would have, but not anymore.
You were born with all the qualities you needed for the job—but one by one, Kaeya’s replaced them with smarter, more reasonable goals. Your once-quick wit has been refocused on pleasing Kaeya, on figuring out whether he’d rather hear “yes, sir” or “thank you, sir” based on the question he poses you with. The calm, reassuring demeanor that once drew people into you is now nonexistent, completely replaced with something more obedient. The respect you used to allot the Anemo Archon has been redirected onto Kaeya: because what has Barbatos actually done for you? Kaeya is the one who’s given you a home, a purpose—it’s him that you pray to every day when you get on your knees.
The one thing that has remained constant is the devotion you carry for the people of Mondstadt: but that, too, has shifted.
Where you once wished to serve your people by protecting them on the front lines, you now understand that your purpose is to personally aid the superiors who already know how to do the job, to make Kaeya happier so that he can protect the nation for you.
It was hard, at first.
But your mind is pliant, now, moldable and malleable as Kaeya wraps a hand around your naked hip to halt your grinding.
“Now, now,” he chides, kissing your shoulder as he continues to write his report. “None of that. I’ll fuck you nice and good after I’m done with this, so don’t distract me.”
“But—but sir,” you whine, wriggling your hips gently on top of Kaeya as if hoping that it’ll convince him to forgo the report and fuck you now.
Internally, Kaeya appreciates how well you’ve acclimated to your new life. Externally, he clicks his tongue and lays a slap against your bare bottom, ignoring your delighted giggle.
“Be a good girl and let me focus. These are important documents, okay? You being here only helps me work if you’re not trying to distract me. Or do you not want to help Mondstadt out after all?”
That line always works, and you instinctively coil in on yourself, ashamed as you halt your playful teasing and rest your head on Kaeya’s shoulder.
“I—I want to help Mondstadt…”
“I thought so. So be a good girl and keep my cock warm until I’m done.”
And you do a good job of it. Oh, you do such a good job, your little cunt clenching down on Kaeya the whole time as he proofreads his report once, then twice (and then thrice, though that’s more to torture you than it is to actually check for mistakes)—and when Kaeya finally tucks his report inside an envelope, sealing it with the crest of the Cavalry Captain, he knows you deserve a reward.
“Good girl,” he coos, slipping his gloves off to massage the soft flesh of your ass with his bare hands. “How did that feel? What do you want me to do to you?”
“Felt good,” you whisper, and Kaeya loves the shudder that runs down your spine when he drags a finger to circle at your clit. “P-please, Sir. Want more. I-if you have time. If you're busy with your captain duties...I can w-wait. But if not. Please.”
So cute, Kaeya thinks, loving how even now, months after you’ve been isolated from the world, you still cling to the naive hope that somehow, being Kaeya’s private slut is contributing to the prosperity of Mondstadt. Not that it’s something Kaeya will ever correct. He can keep you here for as long as you believe you want to be here, so he won’t do anything to jeopardize your innocent naivety.
“Hmm, you’re going to be more specific than that, sweetheart. What do you want more of?”
“You, Sir,” you gasp, rolling your hips down on Kaeya’s cock to enunciate your point. “Wanna get fucked. Pretty please.”
“Oh?” Kaeya chuckles, lifting you up and laying you down on his desk, not caring about the paperwork your body is sprawled over because goddamn, you look hot like this, tits exposed, face flushed, pupils dilated, like the only thing you can think about is Kaeya’s cock and how bad you want it.
“You don’t want anything else?”
Normally, this is the part where you deliver a mumble about Mondstadt and how you want prosperity for the nation. Those comments have been getting more and more halfhearted recently, overshadowed by your larger desire for the overwhelming pleasure that Kaeya, and today—
Today, you forget about your so-called love for Mondstadt altogether.
“No,” you babble, wrapping your legs around Kaeya’s hips, desperately trying to tempt him into fucking into you. “No, Sir, don’t want anything but you so please, please, please—”
A breathy laugh falls from Kaeya’s lips as he leans over to press a quick kiss to your forehead.
“Of course, sweetheart.” His hands find your hips, slender fingers digging in to grip them with bruising force as he prepares to wreck you from the inside. “I’ll always give you what you want.”

Tumblr media
— zhongli —
Note: it’s a very minor detail I slipped in, but you work at wangsheng funeral parlor.
Zhongli looked everywhere for his coat before leaving for work, but to no avail. It was only going to be a minor inconvenience if he didn’t have it, so he dealt without it for the day. He was looking forward to having dinner with you anyway, so having a lost coat wasn’t going to ruin that for him.
Speaking of his dinner date with you! When he arrived he saw you wearing his coat. His first thought was “how... how did they get it?” Because he always has his coat with him. He’ll ask you, and you simply say that he left it at work when you were working late, filling something out for a client last minute.
The night continued as normal until you were handing his coat back to him, as you did so you said, “you know... I really like your coat. It’s something that makes it feel like you’re with me even when you’re not.”
To say the least he ended up with a dusting of blush on his face, and a warm smile directed towards you. He let you keep his coat for a while longer, and he truly felt as though he was in love with you.
— childe —
Stealing childes coat in the first place was... difficulty to say the least. He always, and I mean always had it with him. Especially in snezhnaya. Then it was even more difficult.
So when he was looking for it while getting ready in the morning, you stealing it was impossible in his mind. It was the last thing he would think of. Thus, when he saw you with his coat at dinner, he had to congratulate you on successfully sneaking his coat away from him.
Though you only laughed and said, “well it wasn’t that hard? You forgot to take it with you after your visit yesterday?” Oh yeah... he did do that. He then asked you why you held onto it and you said, “to be honest... it’s a warm reminder that you’re with me. I apologize for not returning it sooner, but nonetheless thank you for... unknowingly lending me your coat.”
Childe could feel his heart hammering in his chest, and his face turning hot. He found you to be so kind, and you could never fail to make him weak in the knees, and flustered for you. Surely, he could survive the harsh cold in snezhnaya without his coat right? If anything he could just buy another.
— Diluc —
It was a cold morning in mondstadt, and Diluc needed to head into angels share to do a few things before they opened for the day. Sadly, his coat was nowhere to be seen! Ah well... it can’t be that bad right? Wrong. At least the tavern was nice and warm right? Wrong. It was cold in there too! All day he was freezing!
He was feeling frustrated as he made his way to where you planned to meet for diner, and as he made his way over to you... he saw you, with his coat on! He was freezing all day so you could be comfortable?! He was honestly kinda upset, but when you greeted him with a smile and a wave his anger subsided, and he only sighed sitting down at the table.
“Diluc! I’m glad you could make it! I know it was cold today and uh... thank you for letting me barrow your coat...” you said your confidence and excitement turning into a sheepish thank you. He only grunted, as he was still a bit... frustrated. “I mean you’re coats super warm, and a reminder of you, so genuinely... thank you.”
His eyes turned wide, and he felt the tips of his ears becoming hot. “Yeah... it’s fine. The cold wasn’t as bad as it seemed, so I managed” he said lying straight to your face. You saw behind his failed attempt at a facade and said, “hm... well I’m glad it wasn’t too bad.” Your warm, and happy smile made you for the freezing temperatures all day.
— kaeya —
Kaeya had a mission today, and he needed his coat! But he couldn’t find it anywhere... just his luck. Fine. He’ll go without it then.
Coming back from a successful, yet difficult mission he made his way to good hunter for a scheduled dinner date with you. Seeing the familiar shades of his coat, he smiled knowing you’ve taken it.
He sneaked begins you, and startled you by saying, “I like your coat. Wonder where you got it from? Mind sharing the designer?” In a teasing tone. “Archons kaeya! Holy... ugh you scared me!” You said surprised by the sudden appearance of the cavalry captain.
He apologized sitting down at the table, and teased you again about the coat saying, “truly is a magnificent coat. I wish I had one for myself! Oh wait... I think I do, but I couldn’t find it today. Care to explain why?” His goofy grin only grew as he rested his head on his hand awaiting your response.
“Well... I took it because I always think about you.” You said sinking down as if you could hide your reddened face from the all knowing man I’m front of you “and I wanted something to remind me of you when you’re gone...”
Truly not the answer Kaeya was expecting, but to be fair he never knew what to expect from you. He could feel his own face heating up a bit as he said, “well in that case... I suppose you could keep it for a while. I do have some knights stuff to take care of, so I won’t be able to see you for a while. So take care of it for me will you?”
— Dainsleif —
Waking up without yes coat, Dainsleif knew one place that it could’ve gone. He had a sneaking suspicion that it was with you this whole time, so he knew it couldn’t have gone too far.
His suspicion was confirmed later on though, when he met you for dinner. He saw the all to familiar patterns on his coat, and it made you stick out like a sore thumb.
“So I see I was correct. You did steal my coat.” He said with a smile as he sat down at the table slightly startling you with his sudden appearance. “Oh! Uh... yes... I’m sorry!” You said worrying that he might be mad at you.
He chuckled a bit saying, “no, no it’s alright. I didn’t miss it too much. I knew it was in safe hands” his happy smile ignited sparks in your heart, and you said, “I think about you a lot you know... so that’s why I took your coat. As a reminder that you’re with me.. I hope it wasn’t too much of an inconvenience.”
Dainsleif felt butterflies in his stomach at your kind words. He didn’t know how to react, but he wanted to say something. He took your hands in his, and said, “I’ll make sure to be around more often, so that won’t be a problem.” He kissed your hand as a way of promising that he’ll be true to his word.

☃️Kaebedo Fic (NSFW)🌼
You asked for it.
No I didn’t proofread, we die like men.
Or like xingyun on dragonspine.
help my mains don’t know how to warm
ANYWAY FIC: 1530 words :’)
Albedo was intent on ripping his hair out. He was researching a particularly complicated matter, and he was going no where.
Kaeya was almost melting his hands off on the small fire in the cave, pretending he wasn’t affected by the cold of Dragonspine.
And both of them were ignoring the desire to hold each other.
Sucrose had come down with a cold, so Albedo sent her back to Mondstadt with Timaeus until she got better. He really missed his apprentice on days like these. Normally, she would help him by shyly pointing things out and then enthusiastically elaborating on them.
But today, and for the past week, he had been relatively alone. Although, Kaeya had volunteered to come assist him in his research.
He was no help.
The knight had come with good intentions, but he wasn’t good for much other than handing Albedo vials—that, and making the alchemist unaturally hot. Ironic, considering the now-pointless cryo vision on his hip.
There was no way he didn’t know what he was doing. Kaeya was unreasonably touchy. His hand would linger too long when he passed something, or he’d stand too close for scientific safety, or he’d press his hand against Albedo’s lower back to move past him. Oh, and let’s not forget when he practically pinned the alchemist against a shelf while he reached for something.
Albedo wasn’t stupid, he’d heard of Kaeya’s reputation. He thought he knew where Kaeya would try to go with him, but nonetheless, he still accepted the offer when Kaeya said cuddling would keep them warmer tonight. Dragonspine is cold after all.
It was truly awkward business. They decided on Albedo’s cot, as it was slightly bigger than the spare cot that Kaeya was occupying. Then they had to recognize and accept the fact that spooning was really the only option here. Finally, they ended up in the cot, with Albedo facing the cave wall and Kaeya hugging him from behind.
Albedo tried not to think about how close the knight was to him—he could feel his breath in his ear. He tried not to think about how he could feel the taller man’s chest pressed against his back. Or the way their legs pressed against each other’s. Or how one of Kaeya’s legs slipped between his.
He wasn’t sure what he had expected when he agreed to this, but this—Kaeya’s cool hands slipping beneath his shirt to innocently press against his stomach—should’ve been pretty high on the list.
Albedo was never one to be interested in intimate things, but he found himself wanting the hands to move. Not off of him, per say, but anywhere other than where they were. Despite every conceivable thought he had, he wanted more of them.
Kaeya however was ready to play the long game. He saw Sucrose on the way out of headquarters, and he assured her she could take the week off. So, he settled for lingering touches one day and completely necessary cuddles the next. Besides, he was hoping to keep the alchemist around, and he didn’t want to scare him off. Kaeya was content to fall asleep holding onto him for now.
Staying still, or sleeping at all, weren’t really things Albedo was good at. Not to mention he couldn’t stop thinking about the hands on his stomach. He tried to clear his head, concentrating on the other man’s breathing, his weight, anything. It was futile, when he thought of Kaeya’s breathing, he thought of his lips. When he thought of his weight, he thought of how he rolled backwards slightly into the knight’s chest. He was hopeless and confused and hot. Why did he feel so hot? Was he coming down with something too? Maybe Dragonspine really wasn’t the best place to host experiments.
Then why did he find himself putting his hands over Kaeya’s and moving them up? Why did he lose his breath when Kaeya held him tighter in his sleep? He could barely think straight. What was it about the knight that made him like this? Had he accidentally drugged himself earlier? If so with what?
In truth, Kaeya was a light sleeper. When he felt the alchemist moving his hands, he had to use all of his willpower not to chuckle and pin him down. He tried to make his movements seem natural, and when Albedo gasped, he couldn’t help himself anymore. The alchemist had set him up perfectly, yet he still let out a stifled cry when Kaeya tweaked his nipples.
Kaeya let go and lightly rubbed over them, shifting so more of Albedo’s weight was on him and he could use his arms easier. Just as Albedo got control of his breathing, Kaeya pinched him again, and Albedo cried out loudly. The knight rubbed over his nipples again, repeating the process until Albedo gave up on controlling his breathing. Kaeya leaned down to kiss at his neck and whisper in his ear, even though the only danger of being caught was by some wandering hilichurls.
“Tell me when to stop, ‘Bedo.” He said quietly against his skin.
“Don’t stop.” Albedo’s voice broke when Kaeya pulled at his nipples again. The knight wanted nothing more than to get Albedo under him and watch the bruises form around his nipples—he was sure they would before this was over. But he wanted more.
“Look at me.” He said. Albedo hesitated, then struggled to adjust under Kaeya’s hands. Finally, his eyes met Kaeya’s, just as he gave his nipples one long, hard tug. Albedo’s eyes closed and his mouth fell open. Kaeya faltered at all the pretty sounds falling out of the blonde’s mouth. He abandoned whatever scrap of a plan he had, instead grabbing the alchemist’s face and pressing their lips together.
Albedo found himself at a loss as his mouth was dominated by the other man. Kaeya couldn’t take it anymore, and he pushed the alchemist below him. The new angle made everything better. He could see Albedo’s hair messing up, and he could see his face falling apart. This had been easier than he’d thought.
He slipped his hand down, expertly finding his way into Albedo’s pants and pulling him out of them. “Are you still okay there, ‘Bedo?”
Albedo nodded vigorously.
Kaeya rolled his eyes. “Use your words, princess.”
Albedo whined at the name, nodding again. He swallowed, trying and failing to steady his voice. “More.”
Kaeya laughed, beginning to stroke the alchemist’s cock. It wasn’t much more than average, but neither was he, and regardless, he wasn’t picky. “More what?”
“Of you.” Albedo started to fumble with Kaeya’s pants. Kaeya chuckled, sitting back so he was straddling Albedo’s thighs. The blankets finally fell off, exposing them to the cold. Kaeya liked the way Albedo’s abused nipples responded immediately to the cold, so he reached out and pulled at them again. Albedo moaned again.
“You said you wanted more of me?” He asked, pinching the smaller man’s nipples again before dropping his hands and leaning back. “Well then have at it, Princess.”
Albedo sat up fast, fumbling again with Kaeya’s pants, trying to get him out. He managed, when no help from Kaeya, and pulled him out gently. His lightly touches made Kaeya shiver, and he would’ve laid into him then and there, but he wanted to know what the alchemist would do now that he had him.
Truth be told, Albedo wasn’t sure what to do. Slowly he started to drag his hand up and down like Kaeya did to him. Kaeya moaned, and Albedo took that straight to his confidence, moving faster. The knight gently took his hand away from his dick. Albedo looked at him in confusion, slightly upset he didn’t get it right. However, Kaeya simply spit in the alchemist’s hand and closed it back over his dick. Albedo continued to work him over, and Kaeya occasionally guided his hand where to go.
“Think you can do us both, princess?” Kaeya asked, cupping the back of Albedo’s neck and pulling him closer.
Albedo’s eyes darted everywhere before he spit in his hand and grabbed his own dick. He tried to hold them both in one hand, but when his little hand failed him, he resorted to using both. Kaeya pulled him forward and kissed him hard, tongues tangling, teeth clashing. It was hungry and desperate and everything at once. He moved his hand forward, choking Albedo just enough to make him desperate. By the time he started flicking his nipples again, Albedo was rutting into his hands for relief.
Kaeya moaned into the kiss, loving the friction between them. He had been waiting so long for this. It was almost innocent compared to what he had imagined. When Albedo cried out against his mouth, Kaeya felt it through his hand, and he pressed down just a little bit harder. Albedo painted warm splashes of white all over their stomachs; his cries choking him more than Kaeya.
“Good boy.” Kaeya mumbled against his lips, rubbing circles on the back of his neck.
As Kaeya’s expert hands worked himself over the edge, he knew he never wanted this to end.

Kaeya x F Reader One Shot. [Modern AU].
Warning // Explicit Language. No Smut, only fluff.
Synopsis: a night filled with alcohol, dancing and feelings.
If you rubbed your eyes one more time, you feared they may disappear inside of your skull. The display on your laptop was beginning to sear your retinas, as you watched the clock tick over to 11:30 pm. You should have left work hours ago. Having a hardass for a boss had wasn't something really had any benefits to it, other than the sizeable paycheck you took home after a long week's work; often going ten or twenty hours over your actually scheduled nine to five days.
Being able to finally click save and close the torture machine in front of you was something that you spent every working moment impatiently waiting for, and the satisfaction you got from knowing you could finally go and slump into your bedsheets was something that never really lost its novelty. And yet, tonight wasn't going to be one of those nights.
"Wanna go cause some trouble?"
You looked up blearily at the voice, seeing a tall, tan figure leaning against your doorway, one hand on his hip, and the other in his pocket. The smirk on his lips was one that you couldn't get enough of, but you'd never admit it. You'd never give him the satisfaction of admitting it.
"It's almost midnight, Kaeya." you remarked, as you shrugged your leather jacket onto your shoulders. Despite the protest in your tone, you had basically already succumbed to his plans before even hearing them, as you collected your belongings that were spread over your desk. "And so the night is only young, [Y/N], whaddya say?". This man knew he was born with a silver tongue, and had the power to persuade even the most stubborn to follow his every command. You knew this, and yet you fell victim every damn time.
"Where are we going?", you practically had a white flag waving above your head, as you walked through the door he held open, and yet you weren't fooled - Kaeya was no gentleman. He was a sweet talker, and he played the field like it was second nature to him. Life was like a game of chess, except he was always 5 moves ahead, taking piece after piece off of the board. Women were the pawns.
"Diluc's club, he pissed me off yesterday, and if my memory serves, you're not best pleased with him either.", he looked as though his plan had fallen into place, and yet it had one fatal flaw. "So your plan for revenge, is to financially provide for him by drinking in his club?". You felt as though you had his king in check - winning the game of chess - and might actually get to go home for the night. Yet that stupid smirk returned, and you instantly dropped the glimmer of hope you had grasped onto. "Money is simply an object to him, you know this. But just imagine the look on his face if he saw us both having the time of our goddamn lives, huh?". You hated to admit it, but to see that exact face you were now picturing was an opportunity you would not pass up, even if you hadn't slept for a week.
The night was bitter, biting at your cheeks as you walked down the cobblestoned alleys. No matter how much you pulled at your thin jacket for warmth, it simply wasn't the right choice of attire for the middle of February. "I know a way to warm you up." the man to your right quipped, and you instinctually glared up at him, seeing a saccharine sweet smile upon his face. You rolled your eyes and looked away from him, refusing to step into the trap that was his syrupy gaze. You knew better.
"Vodka".
You heard him chuckle at your blunt response. A soft, breathy laugh that could melt ice, and the heat that rose to your cheeks was welcoming, considering the harsh winds that felt like icicles piercing your skin. He really did have a way to make women putty in his hands, and you had never been more glad you considered yourself above that, considering you were about to get absolutely shit-faced together.
One shot turned to two, and two turned to three, as you bottomed the foul liquid, and slammed each glass onto the table with a loud clink. You hadn't done this in a while, and it had been even longer since you had done it with another person. Drinking alone was usually your style, which now you realised was actually quite sad.
"Slow down, darlin', they'll run out if you aren't careful.", he had absolutely no right to be using words like that, and even less right to witness the colour that lit your cheeks alight. Suddenly, staring at the marble bar seemed a lot more interesting.
"Mind your own business, Alberich. You said you wanted to have fun, this is how I have fun.". You knew full well the worse was yet to come. They say everyone has a second personality when they're drunk, and yours enjoyed partying like the world was going to end tomorrow. You noticed he was nursing his whiskey, and frowned at him, tilting your head to the side and resting it on your fist.
"Didn't take you to be a lightweight." you smiled devilishly into your words, watching his eyes widen slightly in surprise, you could practically see him recoil as though you had smacked him in the face. "Someone's gotta be able to walk to take you home.". The laugh you let out in response was a hearty, full one. Something you hadn't done in a while. You pushed at his shoulder, mocking him further. "Let go, have fun! Worst case scenario, we sleep on the floor. I never took you to be the boring one, Kaeya."
Enough was enough, he raised his glass and allowed the burning liquid to slip down his throat. He pulled a face before his glass made the same clink that your shots had been making for the past hour. "It's on, darlin."
"Two more shots over here, dear brother." You had almost forgotten why you came tonight, as you saw the redhead's brows almost touch, frowning as he had no choice but to stop ignoring the two of you, which he had been trying to do since you strutted into his club.
"And two for me!" You giggled into your words, as he gave you a look that you had never seen on his face. "I like your style, [Y/N]". His voice was lower than usual, probably from the assault on his throat the whiskey had enacted, but you had to admit, it sounded good that way. Too good, judging by the butterflies kicking up a fuss in your stomach. You decided to simply drown them in alcohol, as Diluc slid the drinks across to you without even muttering a word.
You must have had seven or eight shots of vodka by now, and at this point, Kaeya wasn't far behind, his jacket and tie discarded over the back of his stool, as well as two buttons on his shirt being undone. A deep v of tan skin practically begging you to stare. You had similarly discarded your jacket behind you, the alcohol flooding through your veins being what you attributed your rising body temperature to. You didn't even seem to care that all you had on was a lowcut, white tank top, which definitely left a lot less to the imagination than intended. Hopefully, the lighting was low enough that he didn't notice the lace of your bra creating lines under the thin fabric.
"Ahh, I love this song."
You didn't even seem in control of the words leaving your mouth, as a low, smooth beat filled the air around you. This song was one that you would definitely dance to in private, or if you weren't absolutely wasted. Before you even fully acknowledged what you were doing, you had climbed onto the surface in front of you and were gyrating your hips in a way that you wouldn't be caught dead doing sober. Vodka really lowered your inhibitions, a fact which was clearly evident to Kaeya, who couldn't help but stare as your hands worked their way down your body, slowly moving along to the music. He wasn't the only one staring. Pretty much the whole club was watching you let loose on the bar, ogling your figure and looking you up and down like meat on a stick. Diluc, however, could not have looked less impressed if he tried.
"[Y/N], get down from there. Everyone is staring.", Kaeya seemed almost possessive, as he extended his arm to you, trying to convince you to come down, and yet, you hadn't felt this free in a while. "You come up here! Dance with me, darlin'.". He seemed flushed at you using his words against him, but his stance didn't falter, as he kept insisting you come down from the bar. For a change, him and Diluc actually agreed on something.
"You're going to fall, [Y/N]."
"Then catch me, Prince Charming."
Your words were slurred, and it was clearly evident that you were inebriated beyond any point of logic, so Kaeya decided to take things into his own hands. He grabbed at your wrist and lightly pulled, expecting you to get the message, and finally come down. Definitely not expecting you to topple like a domino.
As your brain stopped feeling like it had just been scrambled, you noticed Kaeya's face only inches away from yours, before acknowledging that your body was pressed against his own. You'd actually fallen, holy shit, you were wasted. And yet, he had caught you. Prince Charming had really saved you - how ironic. His strong, defined muscles against your body were significantly more welcoming than the floor, that was for sure. If you weren't already completely certain that you had had more than enough to drink, you were once you caught yourself speaking.
"How about we take this somewhere more private, handsome?". You would be kicking yourself for those words once your blood stopped being what felt like 99% alcohol, and yet right now, you were biting your lip, looking up at him, barely noticing the flush under his tanned skin.
"How about we take you home?" was his response, as he tried to put you onto the floor, your legs buckling, as you sink to his knees. He sighed in defeat, tucking both of your jackets over his shoulder, and pulling you back up to cradle in his arms, using the warmth of his blazer as a pillow as you rested onto his shoulder. Maybe you were the lightweight, after all.
During the walk home, you hardly noticed the cold, between how hot the alcohol had you, and the warmth of his body heat pressed against yours. You barely acknowledged the journey ending until you felt the familiar softness of your bed under your warm body. Instinctively, you curled up onto your side, hugging a pillow, and kicking your shoes off of the side of the sheets.
"Goodnight, [Y/N]. I had fun with you tonight." Despite your vision being blurry, you could tell he was leaned against the wall the exact same way he had been hours ago at work, and you reached for his arm, tugging on his sleeve.
"Stay with me, Kaeya. Please.", you could feel yourself slowly sobering up, as your thoughts became less cloudy and your feelings becoming more lucid, and all you wanted was for him to stay by your side. Nothing sexual about it, you just wanted to feel his body heat radiating against yours as you slipped into slumber. You felt as though you could see the wanting in his eyes also, but his words begged to differ.
"I'll be on the couch." his reply left you feeling downcast, however, this was short-lived as you felt his lips lightly kiss you on the forehead, leaving the spot they had been tingling and prickling with heat. You were comforted knowing he would be there in any capacity, and that was the thought that nursed you to sleep pretending the pillow in your arms was the man who had caught you not long ago.  You knew that you had caught feelings for him in turn. Maybe he wasn't so bad, after all? Maybe he could be your knight in shining armor. The one to keep you company on what would be a lonely night drinking, and the one to hold you tight as your head pounded into the early hours of the morning. Anything would be good, as long as he was there.

Fics I Absolutely Adore and Would Recommend to Anyone
I’ve been meaning to do this for a long, long time, because I love reading fanworks and they deserve a lot of love and I love sharing things that I love.
Obviously this isn’t everything, and if it’s not on this list that doesn’t mean I don’t love it, it just means I forgot at this moment. I will be adding to the list and I remember things or come across it again. (Trying to sort through my bookmarks and subscriptions is like trying to catch a fish bare-handed.) I’m also gonna shy away from the one-shots, even though I adore fun one-shots, just for the sake of organization. The list would be super long otherwise, and those are best sorted by fandom. Here... Here are just some brilliant works I want to rant about.
Disclaimer: I say “recommend” because I would recommend these works, any time any place, but do keep in mind the story’s rating and tags and stuff. Not everything is kid-friendly.
There is absolutely no hierarchy to the list below. They are added as I add.
Fairy Dance of Death
by Catsy ( @fairydanceofdeath )
Fandom: Sword Art Online Word Count: 660,282 Status: ongoing
「AU reboot of the entire SAO storyline, beginning from the premise that Kayaba Akihiko was obsessed with magic and Norse Mythology rather than swords and pure melee. As a result, he created the Death Game of Alfheim Online rather than the floating castle of Aincrad—a world in which player-killing is not a crime, and the nine player races are in competition with each other to reach the top of the World Tree. Multi-POV epic following the stories of multiple canon characters throughout the game.」
If Catsy wrote the SAO light novels and anime, SAO would be among the legendary series. Fairy Dance of Death has this amazingly simple premise of making Alfheim Online, the video game from the original series’ less-than-stellar second part, the game that the main cast becomes trapped in. However, it’s so much more. They took the characters and made them characters, and everyone gets ample spotlight—even background characters that normally wouldn’t receive a second thought. It’s masterful work, and to boot, there is a lovely frame of in-game mystery and player conflict. The organization is phenomenal and I aspire to world-build the way they did. Not to mention that stakes are so much higher and this series has ripped my heart to shreds more than once.
It has also brought me great joy, and even when I was in the dumps and didn’t want to read anything, a FDOD update made me pick up my phone and read when I otherwise wouldn’t have. It has a really special place in my heart. It updates once in a blue moon, but that’s okay.
Even if you have never seen a single piece of Sword Art Online, Fairy Dance of Death is still a great read. In fact, it’s the Better Version of SAO, if we’re all being honest, so I would especially recommend it if you hadn’t seen the original. Or if you have. The characters are given so much love and detail, to the point where Fairy Dance of Death’s characterizations are More Canon to me than Kawahara Reki’s work. It is just a beautiful piece of fiction, and it makes you question the depravity of man on levels that SAO shied away from.
Poisoned Dreams
by StrangeDiamond
Fandom: Genshin Impact Word Count: 82,852 Status: Complete, with a complete sequel and more to come
「 Every night now, Diluc dreams of death. Usually Kaeya's. In between these nightmares his life is falling apart. It doesn't take Kaeya long to realize that this is something much more insidious than simple bad dreams. His brother's life and sanity are on the line and there is nothing Kaeya won't do to save him. Bonus chapter added.」
In a growing fandom from a new game, StrangeDiamond swooped in and characterized these bad boys so well I think it’s canon. It really breathes life into the video game lore, and it’s an A+ depiction of awkward sibling re-bonding post-Terrible-Happenings. Poisoned Dreams can be read alone with a basic understanding of Genshin storybuilding, but StrangeDiamond has an entire group of fics and oneshots set in the same headcanon, and they integrate them really well and subtly together. Not to mention that the narrative style is really clever with making you question what is real and what is dream (a big point in this story) and the inner voices of the point-of-view characters are very compelling.
One Word to Change the World
by AgentMalkere
Fandom: Fairy Tail Collective Word Count: 43,988 (30 parts) Status: probably never coming back
「 In just one universe, Ultear called out to her mother instead of turning away and the fate of Fairy Tail and the world was irrevocably altered. These are glimpses of a world where a single word made all the difference.
In other words, welcome to the Butterfly Effect - Fairy Tail style. 」
It’s a really cute canon-divergent, and while the series makes no attempt to re-write Fairy Tail, it addresses the major events and just snippets in between. It does a good job at giving the vast cast ample spotlight, but it’s also an easy read. It’s special to me because it was the series that made me really pay attention to Bickslow in particular, and I respect that.
Vigilantis Pretium Libertatis
by aradian_nights
Fandom: Attack on Titan Word Count: 399,226 Status: Complete
「 Five years ago, an accident freed Eren Jaeger, Mikasa Ackerman, and Armin Arlelt from an experiment that forced the most extraordinary powers onto them. After five years of separation, of being raised apart to be heroes by a set of three very different adults, they meet again. As they uncover the truth behind their captivity they realize being free and being heroes are sadly nothing but an illusion. 」
This wrecked me.
I still remember when I read it. It was the beginning of 2018, and I had the flu and a lot of time on my hands, so I binge-read this. It was simultaneously the best and the worst thing I have ever done, because I resonated with it so deeply there were times I was just staring up at the ceiling wondering what was real. I empathized with the characters to a level I rarely achieve, and I empathize easily. I laughed. I cried. It was amazing.
I refer to this story in conversation to this day. It handled themes published authors have only dreamed of achieving. Heck, if Dani (the author) took out the names of the AoT cast and replaced it with new ones, it could be its own stand alone novel. It is worldbuilding from the ground up, and any fandom knowledge you take in with you is used against you like a knife leveraged against your throat. Yet, no one is out of character. It’s phenomenal. I would say more, but this is something I daren’t spoil for anybody, because you must be as wrecked as I was. Vigilantis Pretium Libertatis is a level of writing I achieve to gain as a writer myself. It is a masterpiece in every sense of the word.
Life in Glass Houses
by blueskyscribe ( @blueskyscribe )
Fandom: Transformers (Transformers Prime, Transformers: Shattered Glass) Word Count: 119,900 Status: Ongoing (maybe, I hope)
「 No one would have thought Bumblebee and Knock Out were capable of getting along, but when they're stuck in a strange new world and their only hope of survival is cooperation . . . Yeah, they're probably doomed. 」
I could be biased because Knock Out and Bumblebee are two of my favorite characters, but it really is brilliant. Two enemies, stuck together—but not in an overly cliché way. It’s the right amount of cliché, with heaps moral conflict and inner conflict and sometimes just beating each other with a broom when no one is looking. It’s also a fascinating look into what makes a character the way they are in relation to the morals they possess, and how stalwart those morals can be. I can’t help but think of this story whenever I see or write a “role reverse” or mirror-verse AU. It does an excellent job at making all of the characters engaging and their own character, despite being in a mirror-verse.
Yesterday Upon the Stair
by PitViperOfDoom ( @pitviperofdoom )
Fandom: My Hero Academia Word Count: 424,070 Status: Complete
「 Midoriya Izuku has always been written off as weird. As if it's not bad enough to be the quirkless weakling, he has to be the weird quirkless weakling on top of it.
But truthfully, the "weird" part is the only part that's accurate. He's determined not to be a weakling, and in spite of what it says on paper, he's not actually quirkless. Even before meeting All-Might and taking on the power of One For All, Izuku isn't quirkless.
Not that anyone would believe it if he told them. 」
As a person who normally doesn’t read these kind of minor canon divergences, especially at the time of reading, I frickin’ love this fic. In fact, I think YUTS gave me a deep appreciation for canon divergence fics. It’s MHA in all of its glory but it’s so much more, and even the parts that rehash canon give new light to the characters and their points of view.
I had read Viper’s work before and saw Yesterday Upon the Stair filling my inbox, and then I finally watched My Hero Academia. It was one of the first MHA fics I read and it still has a very special place in my heart. I recommend this series to people who don’t even watch MHA; in fact, there are some who might prefer the darker tones and themes of heroism vs apathy to the main series. Not to mention the writing style is phenomenal, and I aspire to be that good. It made me laugh. It made me cry. Yes, tears streaming down my face crying. It is the best ghost story I have ever read.
the Vantage Point Universe
by Aggie2011 ( @aggie2011whoop )
Fandom: The Avengers (MCU) Collective Word Count: 1,032,651 (35 parts) Status: Ongoing (just slowed down)
「 Six months after the Loki incident, Clint isn't adjusting well. When an enemy from his days in the Army comes back to haunt him, he'll be forced to face a part of his past - and to move past Loki, if he has a hope of finding his place with the Avengers. (First of a universe created to center around Clint Barton) 」
// description taken from first installment
Have you enjoyed the MCU, especially the first-era Avengers phase, but like me, were disappointed in the fact that Hawkeye was barely there? The VP universe is for you.
I honestly have a hard time remembering what was canon and what was VP. And if it’s not canon, it should be. The VP universe gave so much life to Clint and to Natasha and to all of SHIELD and even the rest of the Avengers. It’s just...so good. It’s completely immersive. It focuses a lot on Hawkeye and Black Widow from before the Avengers team-up, as well as after, and it all flows together so beautifully. Not to mention that I can be reading a mission that happened pre-series, so I know that they are going to live with all of their limbs, and I still sit there on the edge of my seat the whole time.
The OCs, minor as they are, that are created for this are also wonderfully done. I can’t believe Dan and Phil don’t exist in canon. Every character, canon or no, is engaging and dynamic, it is a pleasure to follow each point of view. The emotional turmoil is also handled very well, and the VP universe carries the MCU trend of humanizing its heroes and takes it so much further.
Ghosts of the Future
by Evan Stanley ( @evanstanleyportfolio )
Fandom: Sonic the Hedgehog Word Count: comic (18 issues) Status: ongoing
「 About 200 years in the future, Silver the Hedgehog is an average kid living in San Francisco... except for his strange and terrible dreams of a dying Blue Hedgehog, a Black Hedgehog, and mysterious gems called "Chaos Emeralds". What will he do, when these "figments of his imagination" appear before him in his real life? 」
// description taken from first installment
Okay so this is the only one that isn’t an Ao3 story, but rather a comic on DeviantArt. However, it is still one of my favorite stories. Even though it takes the commonalities of Sonic canon and turns them on its head, GotF really treats the characters well. There are enough familiar world elements to create intrigue, but it is set in a completely different take of the future, so there is ample opportunity for world building and being able to engage with a completely new thing. I wish SEGA put as much love in the series (namely the games, because the comics are *chef’s kiss*) and all of its possibilities as creators like Evan Stanley do.
The friendship and family relationships in GotF are so diverse and all so fantastic to witness. It’s a keynote example of the new hero and the old veterans, and both parties are active and trying their best.
Do not be alarmed by the starting art style. Sure, it’s rough around the edges at first, but then it gets better, and then it gets gorgeous, and then you’re left there so stunned that it looks like just life canon art. And then you could be like me, blinking slowly as my small brain finally connected that this Evan Stanley is in fact the Evan Stanley. GotF is an amazing fanwork, but she also draws and writes for the Official Canon comics (the IDW ones now) and that work is also phenomenal and should be supported.
Whirlwind
by Lynse ( @ladylynse )
Fandom: Danny Phantom, American Dragon: Jake Long, Miraculous Ladybug, Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja Word Count: 75,556 Status: Complete
「 Jake should be used to ominous predictions by now. Randy should know better than to blindly follow McFist. Adrien should think twice before sneaking away. And Danny really should've expected something like this when he got that phone call from Jake. (Secret Quartet fic) 」
I have to start by saying that I adore all of Lynse’s fics, and I chose this one simply because it is one of my favorites. But it’s all fantastic, one hundred percent. I also love Mirrored, the sort-of prequel to this fic, but Whirlwind just has the chaotic pure bean energy that each of the shows bring and it foils against each other so perfectly. This is the epitome of the Secret Quartet crossover, truly.
All fandoms and all characters get ample love, and the way the reader gets to see just how badly the characters’ assumptions are going is positively wonderful. It’s so easy to fall into the “I know what’s happening and so do the characters” trap, but Lynse leaps over it gracefully and lands in greatness. The fic had me smiling like a maniac one minute, and feeling sorry for my babies the next. Wonderful. Simply fantastic!

Anyway thoughts about Dain and others. I'm gonna separate this into different parts since it's probably gonna get confusing. Might do a second part for certain parts of this.
So to get as accurate as possible I did search for more information about The Abyss and Khaenri'ah
OK so I'll give a little back story before diving into my thoughts: Khaenri'ah is an underground unreleased section where, in Dain's words, "the gods' gaze does not fall". It is the origin of Khemia, a type of alchemy heavily focused on the creation of life that ultimately destroyed it. Also, for the Sword Cemetery, that is a result of a war between Mondstadt and Khaenri'ah.
Khemia
Anyway thought time - so since Knaenri'ah has very little fauna and plants they have to find a way to survive and get food and whatnot - hence the creation of Khemia. Now, since there's no information on the aftermath of using Khemia on let's say a human, we're going to make assumptions.
So obviously altering with human life is bound to have it's backlashes, right? My three main bully victims are going to be Kaeya, Albedo, and Dain. Kaeya first: he was sent to Mondstadt as a last hope for his original homeland (I got too lazy to type it continuously) so I'm gonna assume that, before he was dropped off at Dawn Winery, he went through some alterations.
Kaeya
And you guys are gonna get mad but I'm gonna talk about his eye patch. Now, my assumption with the backlash is that it does something physical to the person undergoing Khemia. And yes, while Noelle does say she prepares Kaeya's eye patch, that doesn't necessarily mean that she puts it on him and has seen him without it.
Seeing as though Khemia isn't well-known by the common folk and is concerning to the gods (at least to Venti - thoughts on this later) it's best to hide any evidence of it when around people. That might be Kaeya's case with his eye patch, especially with the issue with Diluc and his father.
Albedo
Listen I hate myself for even starting this but I'm too far deep to give up so we gotta talk about his sexy ass. Now, his diamond. If that's a birthmark then holy hell that's one gorgeous mark. BUT I don't think it is. Since he's the one who practices Khemia, he probably knows how to manipulate the placement to be somewhere hidden or so small you can't see it.
Lmao that kinda contradicted my diamond topic but my thought behind that is that he got that from his teacher (I REFUSE to type that long ass name ok) before he knew the art himself. Him knowing the practice and Venti's wariness of it makes more sense now - will be explained soon.
Dain
THIS BITCH- Ok I need more content of him so I can understand him more but I hate him so muuuuuch. So since he admits that he saw Old Mondstadt before Dvalin resided in it, I immediately thought to the battle at Sword Cemetery even though it doesn't fit with the geography (be honest though nothing matches the geography since the "Wolf of the North" is in the wEST) and you can't see it even from atop the logs (before anyone says anything, yes, I did check with the tallest character I have and yes, I did blind myself at one in the morning just for that.)
Anyway we're getting off topic what I wanted to talk about is the galaxy thing right over his heart. This is going to be short since there's not a lot about him but it's very obvious that it's not natural (well duh) and it reminds me of the particles that erupt from Paimon and that appears out of Aether's hand for an idle animation (I, personally, chose Aether for the MC so I will be using him most of the the time). However, there's noy a lot on him and his attire so this is all I really have.
Venti and Khemia
So a little while ago someone found out that in front of Venti's statue in front of the cathedral it says "Gate to Celestia" backwards. And I do love the theories from many others about how the game might end right where it started, aka Mondstadt. Khaenri'ah dislikes the gods and is not under rule of the Seven and, with Kaeya as a "last hope" so to speak, I feel like (if he doesn't get too attached to everyone) Kaeya and possibly Albedo as well, is going to lead the hilichurls and possibly the Abyss to Mondstadt to open the gate to destroy Celestia.
This is probably why Venti is wary of anyone who knows Khemia or is a known member of Khaenri'ah. This is far fetched but what if he knows of a possible ending without the traveller that is Mondstadt and possibly Teyvat as a whole being destroyed? It's obvious that history and stories are told through songs and, as Venti said in the archon quest, he knows songs "from the past, present, and future."
The Abyss ft. Khaenri'ah & Dain (again)
This is probably going to be the biggest since there's a lot of parts to it. So it's been confirmed that the hilichurls, the people of Khaenri'ah, are being controlled by the Abyss. My thought process was that the Abyss was once a part of Khaenri'ah but there was so much Khemia practice on them that they became less and less human. On a similar note, Instagram user natrya_art made her own theory based off of the Abyss and the chambers just off of the opening screen itself (also one about Dain, Durin, and Alberich (Kaeya's last name) that's still on her story :D).
You guys are probably like "Astro where are you going with this" so I'll stop adding random information and get on with it. Dain specifically only mentions Lumine with "her" and "she" along with "is" and similar present tenses, meaning that she is still alive during whatever time he comes from (as he will decide fate himself if "Albedo were to make a single wrong move using Khemia" (possibly opening the gate) and that's the only time he'll interfere). It's obvious he knows Aether, as he's very easy to talk once he mentions being a traveller. Now, when have you ever heard anyone in genshin mention traveller that is not about Aether/Lumine? Exactly, barely ever if at all.
I mention this since Dain's interest isn't peaked when Aether introduces himself as an adventurer but only after he says he's a traveller looking for his sibling. I, personally, think that Dain was a travel buddy for Lumine since, branching off of Natrya's theory about the Abyss, she was probably brought to the Abyss when they were fighting on one of the paths in Celestia in the beginning.
Since Lumine is trying to redirect Aether from finding out anything about her plans, it shows that she does not want him to either catch her trying to destroy the world or get caught in the crossfire and die. In the time where Dain comes from, though, that's probably what happened and the Abyss wins in the end. So Dain, already knowing where Lumine and the Abyss went, brings Aether to every location that he can remember.
During the old timeline, let's call it that since it's obviously going to change with Aether having help from Dain and Friends™, Lumine most likely talked about Aether and what happened to them. Maybe Dain was just trying to see if he was the real Aether during the tavern scene? No one knows right now honestly (other than the voice actors and creators honestly but they can't say anything.)
It's also obvious that he knows how far Aether is on his journey, as he mentions the Contract to End All Contracts but not why it was made or what the Tsaritsa did with them all while knowing about Venti being Barbatos and the Stormterror battle. This could just be blamed on his failing memory but that's not the case, as he says that he doesn't lack time and will wait to talk about Rex Lapis. However, it's obvious he only knows one side of it, as Aether and the player know of Zhongli being a player in the Rite of Descension but Dain doesn't, as he questions his attitude towards it.
Prophecy
This is copied from Dain's profile on the genshin wiki: The confluence between the past and future. The original calamity had been overturned, yet the island in the sky set the earth to burn. Chalk pursues gold, in this time inopportune, the eclipse is swallowed by the crimson moon. The future must atone for bygone mistakes, as the bond familiar falters and breaks— of the same blood, elders and the youth... Such is the cycle of the world, in truth. Dain, what is that strand of blonde hair to you? Someone you must kill? Or the object of your penitence? - Self-proclaimed prophet
I changed the colour of the parts I want to talk about. The first line is obviously referring to Dain and his connection with going back in time to change the future he came from. "The island in the sky" is Celestia, and the line about setting earth alit could be talking about the gate opening or the gods thinking it'll be best to destroy earth to save themselves.
"Chalk pursues gold." THIS LINE. This one line is what I want to talk about a lot. Gold is not referring to the alchemist who destroyed Khaenri'ah, as it's not uppercased as all names should be. Instead, it's referring to Aether. (Note: the game is actually supposed to take place as you playing as Aether, which is why he's always in the trailers as the protagonist and is more expressive). Aether has multiple gold or gold coloured parts to him, including his hair, parts of his outfit, and it can even be argued that his eyes can be included too. Chalk is, obviously, Albedo, which connects to the quest about him where he's called the Chalk Prince when Dragonspine was introduced. Speaking of Dragonspine, Durin (the dragon that died there) actually came out of Khaenri'ah. Weird how Albedo is almost always in Dragonspine right? The pursuing part can go two ways: his ending line about how if he [Albedo] destroys Mondstadt, will Aether be there to stop him OR to make sure Aether is there to watch him destroy it. A third side is that Albedo pursues Lumine to help with her plan of Destroying Mindstadt/Teyvat.
Crimson moon is obviously about one of the trailers, where I think Lumine is seen walking on the path where her and Aether fought the god in Celestia with a red moon and sky in the background.
"Bond familiar falters and breaks - of the same blood, elders and youth" Aether and Lumine. I feel as though one of them (Aether most likely) will feel the most betrayed and he will lose all trust and love in Lumine and what's she's doing/done. Elders and youth is interesting. It can be nodding at the gods and the people of Teyvat or the gap between Lumine and how she's grown old while Aether died when he was young.
"That strand of blolde hair." English classes and teachers do not teach this enough!!! So I'll say it: blond, with no 'e' is masculine and is used to describe males. Blonde WITH an 'e' is feminine and for females. The use of blonde instead of blond eliminates Aether, Albedo, and Dain. The only blond we really encountered? Lumine. And I can already see the "well what if they didn't know the difference between e and no e" but we're talking about a game where a god dressed as a bard speaks in rhymes and riddles while Dain speaks like hes a poet. They know what they did. This might hint to him being the former travel companion of Lumine and any possible feelings he had that might get in the way of stopping him from helping everyone to stop her.
The Three Questions
When talking to Dain he asks three questions in order to see how similar your thought process is to Lumine. "Who do you think was the key to stopping the Stormterror incident" or something along the lines is the first question. Your answers are Barbatos, yourself, or the people. I will try to go off of memory with my answers, as his quest has yet to be added to the completed quests, as it's in chapter four which hasn't been released yet. I answered Barbatos for this question.
The next one is about Liyue and who will take care of it since Rex Lapis is no longer there to protect it. I said the people of the harbour, which was the third question. The last one is about Visions and who are more important in the eyes of the gods. The three answers are people with visions, without visions, or neither. I answered neither, giving me the dialogue of Aether's answers being similar to Lumine's.
Vision Question
The one about Visions struck me as odd. Visions are given by gods to people that they have acknowledged, yeah? Khaenri'ah isn't acknowledged by the gods and isn't run by any of the Seven. So that means that no one who resided in Khaenri'ah were never helped or were given visions. So why would Dain ask about them? I think it's due to Aether and most likely Lumine being able to weild the elements without a vision. There's also two certain dialogue options that are in the form of thoughts (I do not remember what quests they're from however) and the first one is like "(I'm getting back to my original strength)" I think it was in regards to getting geo too or something while the other one is "(I wish to get the powers of the gods)" or something.
When I first got them I paused for a second. Original strength and the powers of the gods... This obviously means the fact that with one touch of a statue we can switch to that element and can be "blessed" so to speak without actually being blessed. Also I've been meaning to talk about this ever since I leveled up Venti's statue but so far both Mondstadt and Liyue have an extra oculus. This is probably going to be for every region. I found that interesting, since you usually almost always interact with the statues with specific oculi, making it more powerful and giving you more stamina in the process. I think we have to use the extra one to fully harness the powers of that god in order to beat the final boss (probably Lumine.) They are also under the "Precious Items" tab in your inventory which is somewhat significant as well.
I'm gonna end this theory here for now since it got extremely long lmao. A part two might be coming though!

hi lei!! i saw you had a shitty day that sucks i'm sorry  :( i'm also sorry cause i laughed a little about your noodles if it helps i use this method of drinking the soup first and only leaving a little left so the noodles are still warm and moist but not super soggy i hope tomorrow you have a better day <3
today i didn't do much this week i started to work out again and pane OTL it hurts when i laugh but coincidentally i also had a shit day so i skipped and instead started playing on the american server i wanted to play kaeya's story quest again cause i miss him it made me feel nostalgic i forgot when we first meet him the camera pans from bottom to top so we see his ass before face fowfhowvuoe i'm not gonna forgive mhy for making one of his first lines be "i know the pain of losing family too" that's so fucked we can't even let him be slightly happy in the very start of the game? 😟😟 i remember i actually didn't like kaeya at first i always thought he was super attractive but when i talked him i felt so perceived and experienced the mortifying ordeal of being known,,,,even though he's just some pixels 😭😭 god,,,,,what was i going through,,,, if you remember what was your first impression of albedo or childe?- 🍰
that’s the point!! it’s not supposed to be wet because it doesnt have soup 😭😭😭 ngl it’s actually not too bad of a day? im just being dramatic lolol. my days are filled with unfortunate little things like that. by now, i’m used to it and i dont let it interfere w my perspective of a good day (tbf, my standards are hella low)
i tried working out in the beginning of quarantine but in like… day 4? i tore apart my acl and i couldnt walk for a month and a half. never doing that again 🤡
ooooh?? american server?? you can add me if you like? i also have an account there. same thing, same thing. please send uid i only have like one friend there ✌️😔
KAEYA SUPREMACY EVEN IF HE’S SAD AF. why cant there be pretty boys who have pretty, light backstories too? is it bc that would make them too powerful? also, I FELT THAT. kaeya exudes so much sus energy. my first instinct was to hide in my blanket bc this asshole kNowS tOO MuCH!!!!!
FUNNY THING IS… i didnt even like childe nor albedo when i first saw them. like… i wouldnt say at all but i would never have imagined simping for them like this. i remember seeing the words ‘fatui’ and ‘harbinger’ then immediately thinking nOPE. RED LIGHT. BLUE LIGHT. FLASHING ON AND OFF. must admit that the ‘hey girlie’ line sent tiny little tingles tho. as for bedo,, i just remember thinking ‘oh pretty! not my type tho…’ WELL GUESS WHAT. IM A FUCKING LIAR 😗💕

Boy do I have an angsty request for you :D So The Boys confess their love to their crush, but she asks them if they take her for a fool, because she believes that they're using her as a substitute for someone they couldn't have. Like Zhongli with Guizhong and Dainsleif with Lumine, etc. She doesn't believe they love her because she's been in a toxic relationship like that before, and it left her heartbroken. Just sum angst with maybe sum comfort. Also congrats on 801 followers! \(≧▽≦)/♡
Tumblr media
Synopsis: it’a happened a few too many times, being used as a replacement. So when (idk insert a character from the tall boys group) confessed to her, she doesn’t believe it.
Warnings: angst, and mentions of a toxic relationship, I also made y/n a bit... bitchy(?) in the beginning of kaeyas part. Flat out I made them kinda rude.
Game/ fandom: genshin impact
Characters: zhongli, Diluc, childe, kaeya, and Dainsleif
Pronouns for reader: she/ her (I assume that’s what you wanted... if not then I apologize)
A/n: I am in love with this request oh my god. Zhongli and guizhongs relationship pains me so much, like all of the fanart and headcanons for them it just ahhh. Makes me so sad. But aside from that, thank you for congratulating me it means a lot ☺️. It’s a lot of fun seeing how far I’ve come, and with that I hope you enjoy and take care of yourself! Remember to eat something if you haven’t and drink water you amazing human!!! <3
Tumblr media
— zhongli —
Zhongli built up the courage to confess to you while stargazing one night. Only to have his hopes and dreams crushed. You though he was lying? He was using you? Why would he ever do such a thing to someone he admired and loved?
“I know your past relationship with guizhong... I’m not an idiot zhongli. I know that you’re going to use me to get over her.” You said coldly with a deadpan expression.
He didn’t understand... how could you think that he’d hold on for that long. He loved her once, but then... then he didn’t. It was hard to explain his feelings, but he knew that it was different with you. He didn’t know how to express that though.
Zhongli pondered for a second before saying, “I wouldn’t do such a thing even if I still loved her. I’ve moved on, and I want to be with you now. My words are true and are straight from the heart.” You still were hesitant though.
You wanted to be with zhongli, but were too scared to be. Past relationships made you have trust issues when it came to giving someone access to your feelings. Because you’d let them in only for them to move on from you weeks later. You were the recovery girl, the practice dummy, only there to get their confidence back.
Zhongli wouldn’t treat you like that though... would he? He could see the gears in your head turning with worry, so he cupped your face in his hands and said, “I would never say something I didn’t mean. Especially something as serious as this.” And kissed your forehead.
Butterflies formed in your stomach at the closeness, and you could feel yourself getting emotional. You hugged him tightly, and nodded, a way of saying that you trust him. He wouldn’t take your trust for granted.
— childe —
Childe wouldn’t like to admit it but he’s had few partners in the past. Being more focused on fatui work, and not wanting to hurt anyone. You had him wrapped around your finger though. He’s never felt this connected, and emotionally attached to someone. It took him a while to sort out his feelings but here he is, confessing to you.
As soon as the words left his mouth he felt a weight lift off of his shoulder, only to be replaced with a nauseous feeling growing in his stomach. “Childe... I know what happened with your last partner. I’m not going to be a replacement.” Replacement? Is that how you thought he viewed you...
Before he could think he said, “no! It’s not like that you’re way more than just a replacement! I haven’t spoken to them in ages, I don’t even know where they are now... how can I still be in love with them.” He made a valid point. You still were cautious though.
Not wanting to get your heart broken again you took baby steps. Your heart was fragile, and surrounded by walls to protect it. It took a lot to break down those walls, but maybe, just maybe could childe do it.
“I haven’t felt this attached to someone, I know that sounds stupid, or cliche, but that is truly how I feel.” He said pouring his heart out. He took your hands into his and looked into your eyes, his own bright blue ones full of love and honesty.
“I’ve loved you since I first saw you. I tried to get your attention many times, and now I finally have it, do you really think I’d lie about anything that I’m saying?” He said, his voice hushed, and his face painted with a smile.
You muttered a no, looking away from his intense gaze. “Well there you have it!” He shouted, a contrast to his previous attitude. “Do you believe me now?” He gently grabbed your chin to make you look at him. He smiled goofily waiting for an answer. How could you saw no to him when he looked so excited?
— kaeya —
Kaeya has been with many lovers in the past, none of them were serious relationships, he never quite found the right person. Until you.
It took a long time for kaeya to confess to you, afraid to get rejected, and break an amazing friendship he built up. His fear was proved to be correct when he confessed to you though. “Kaeya I know about your past lover. They wouldn’t shut up about you...” you said your arms crossed “I know that I’m just the rebound, they still talk about you after months, clearly they still like you. Why go for me when you can go back to them hm? You’d probably do it in a week anyways.”
Wow... he didn’t know you thought so... horribly of him. For once kaeya was speechless, he was so hurt that he couldn’t think straight. “I wouldn’t go back to them even if I was forced to. Why would you think that of me...” Kaeya said speaking the truth. He hated his most previous lover, they were a god awful person, so he left them.
“That’s what everyone does. They get with me, and then leave when they’ve regained their confidence and go get the girl that they originally wanted, or go back to their ex.. as simple as that.” You said coldly. You were treated like a doll to be tossed around, and mistreated until the person got what they wanted from you. You weren’t about to get your heart torn to shreds by someone you came to love.
Kaeya was shocked even more by your words. Were you really treated that way? He felt angry, and hurt all at the same time. He looked at you apologetically, and pulled you into a hug. “I wouldn’t do that to you. Ever. I wouldn’t take this long to confess to someone if I didn’t really care about them.” He said putting his hand on your head. You could feel tears pricking your eyes at his sudden show of affection. You’ve come to trust kaeya with your life, so his words meant something to you.
“Seriously it took me ages to do this.” He said with a chuckle, an attempt to lighten the mood a bit. You let out a laugh yourself, pulling away from his hug and rubbing your eyes. He truly did know how to put a smile on your face.
— Diluc —
Diluc contemplated his feelings for you for months. He didn’t want to get his own heart broken, and he never had been in a serious relationship with someone. He’s never wanted to be in a serious relationship with someone. He was the most sought after bachelor in all of mondstadt, and he had no interest in anyone. Until you.
He wanted to make sure what he was feeling was love, and not a... strong yearning to be your friend. Oddly enough he’s never had that feeling either.
He confessed to you one night, showing you a beautiful sight of the ocean from stormbearer point. He oddly loved the ocean, so he thought it was a perfect place to confess to you. Sadly you rejected him. His heart sank and he felt embarrassed.
Though he held his composure, and asked, “I... I see. May I ask... why?” He wanted at least some sort of explanation. He thought he was owed that at least? “Diluc. You’re the most sought after man in all of mondstadt, you could, or better yet would, leave me in a week.” You said bluntly.
He.. didn’t understand. He had paid no mind to any of the people who wanted him, and finally he had some sort of attraction to someone and they say he’d leave her in a moments notice? Why would he ever do that? “I’ve... I haven’t felt this way about anyone. Why would I leave you for someone I don’t even like?” Diluc said confused.
You looked at him sadly and coldly, “because you can.” You said shortly “you can, and then you’d be just like everyone else.” Everyone else? What did you mean everyone else?
Diluc walked closer to you, and put his hand on the back of your head saying, “I don’t know what you mean by everyone else, but I can assure you I’m not like them. I’ve never felt anything close to this until I met you.” His words were from the heart, and you could tell.
Diluc was a man to speak what was on his mind, and to speak the truth. Even he knows not to play with someone’s feelings. He wouldn’t go out of his way to cause someone pain, he’s too familiar with the feeling himself. He would only treat you with the utmost care, and you could relax and let your guard down around him.
— Dainsleif —
Dainsleif is a man who has seen many people in his lifetime, only truly growing romantically attached to you. He loved once in the past but... they turned out to be... on the wrong side.
Traveling with him for about a year made him trust you, as you trusted him. It also made him love you, as you hopefully loved him. He confessed one rainout night as you took shelter in a ruin in liyue.
He could feel his jaw drop and his heart sink when you said, “dain... I can’t... I don’t want you to leave me... I... I care about you. A lot. And I don’t want to lose you.” Your voice was shaky and sad. His heart broke hearing it.
“Why would you lose me? I want to stay with you, that’s why I’m saying this.” He said starting to get worried. You looked at the ground in front of you, snuggling into the blanket you had wrapped around your shoulders before saying, “that always leave... so I left for once. I left my hometown and started traveling with you...” your voice started to crack as tears started to form in your eyes. “I don’t want to go back there. I want to stay with you, and travel and...” you cut yourself off with your own sob.
You truly cared about dain, and you’ve grown rather attached to him. But you had an inkling feeling that he’d leave you like your past lovers. His heart broke for a second time that night, and he scooted closer to you wrapping his arms around your smaller frame, and kissing the top of your head.
“I wouldn’t leave you. Especially not when I’ve come this attached to you.” He said kissing the crown of your head once more. You have felt more at home traveling teyvat with Dainsleif than you have in the very twin that you grew up in.

OOH OOH Diluc/Kaeya hcs?
you know those aristocrats, the Lawrence clan, from the Eula quest (that I barely did cause I'm still salty she took away my Zhongli)? How they're snobby and mean?
What if one of them (Schubert) had run into their s/o, and s/o had accidentally said or done something that caused him to snap on them?
Now S/o is not a big people person and is very bad with handling social reactions, so it's all they can do not to cry as this man is RIPPING into them- insecurities and all. Like, FULL ON telling them they're not even good enough to be with Diluc/Kaeya
How'd they react if they'd been strolling by and found their honey being brutally chastised by some random man they never even knew before?
Tumblr media
Synopsis: stumbling upon a member of the Lawrence clan (who wasn’t eula because she’s lowkey nice) was like stepping on eggshells. And when you took one wrong move, they ripped you to shreds with no mercy.
Warnings: Schubert is really mean :’)
Game/ fandom: genshin impact
Character: Diluc, and kaeya
Pronouns for reader: gender neutral/ not mentioned
A/n: why hello! Thank you for requesting! I’ve been I weird Diluc mood recently? It may be because I made a second genshin account (just for fun and because I love the cutscenes in the beginning of the game.) and I have a small note I want to add... Diluc is so awkward in almost all the cutscenes. Like sir you can stop crossing your arms?! Anyway, aside from... that mini rant. I hope you enjoy, and take care of yourself :D
Tumblr media
— Diluc —
You were picking up some stuff that you ordered from Marjorie, when a strange man bumped into you. “Excuse you?” You said coldly. Really? Was it that hard to maneuver around you? You were expecting them to just walk away, maybe a sorry at most. You were not expecting the person to turn around and for said person to be Schubert from the Lawrence clan.
“Excuse me? Is that any sort of way to talk to me?” He said insulted. You didn’t want any sort of trouble so you just glared at him waiting for him to be done. “Are you incompetent? Are you even listening? A nobleman is speaking to you.” He said angrily. “You listen when spoken to, or have you forgotten your place.”
You just wanted this to be over... you wanted him to leave... you wouldn’t say anything about this to anyone if he. Just. Left. You. Alone. But then he said, “you are but a mere peasant, at least that red haired man you hang around with has some common decency. You don’t deserve to be with someone who’s like him. You don’t fit in. Simple as that.” His smile was sickening, and made you feel small, weak, like you didn’t belong. The people on the streets of mondstadt watched from afar. All eyes were on you, and you were surrounded by people, but you felt alone.
Unbeknownst to you though, Diluc was a little ways away, and heard a decent amount. He paid no mind assuming it was some petty feud, until he got closer and saw you looking as if you were going to shatter into a billion pieces from shame. Who was that man talking to you. What was he saying to make you that way. Diluc walked over fury in his eyes.
“Excuse me. Is there a problem.” Diluc said, he towered over the man who was insulting you. Said man looked pale as a chill ran up his spine. “Oh, Diluc I presume? Yes yes... no there’s no problem.” His composer and noble tone gone as he spoke. “Really? Because it sounded like you just said my s/o wasn’t “good enough” Is that correct?” Diluc said coldly. The man before him lied to his face.
Really? You think you could lie to Diluc, and get away with it? You are surely mistaken, for Diluc shows no mercy to anyone, and I mean anyone who is rude to you. Diluc chewed out Schubert much like he did to you. Except he was smarter than Schubert, and didn’t show any mercy. After chewing out a man to the point where he was crying, he walked over to you, and kissed the top of your forehead asking if you were alright. Later he’d shower you with all the love in the world, he just wants to remind you that you’re loved.
— kaeya —
You had a commission from good hunter to deliver an order to someone in mondstadt. Little did you know that said someone was none other than Schubert from the Lawrence clan. “Here’s your order sir!” You said handing him his food. “Excuse you? Who do you think you are?” Schubert said coldly. “I’m... sorry?” You said in reply confused by his question? “You should be. You do not greet a nobleman such as myself.” He said trying to seem intimidating. Less intimidating and more of a nuisance though...
he kept lecturing you as you stood there being forced to take it. You just wanted to leave and get paid... but instead you had to listen to this narcissist. “Truly you’re so incompetent you can’t do one thing right! And you’re dating that... cavalry captain aren’t you? He seems too good for you. A man of his authority surely could do much better don’t you think?” He said hitting a major insecurity. Kaeya could do better than you... a man like him could get anyone he wanted. You felt tears roll down your face.
From not far away kaeya was making his rounds, and heard some bickering from not far away. He recognized the voice as Schubert’s and knew it was just some petty bull crap per usual. He was entertained and sought out the fight, which would get him into more trouble than he wanted if it was a normal fight. But it wasn’t since you were involved.
Seeing you crying as Schubert told you that you weren’t good enough for kaeya, seeing the situation unfold i front of him ignited a fire in kaeya. He walked over placed hand on Schubert’s shoulder and said something in a hushed voice that you couldn’t make out over your sobs. Whatever it was surely got Schubert’s blood boiling at first, but then made him scared for his life. He ran away not long after.
Kaeya hugged you trying to calm you down, kissing the top of your head and whispering words of affirmation. He’d literally bring you home and cuddle you to death telling you how much he loves you, and over all just being a good boyfriend and comforting you :’)
