brrrrr (/pos)
#weight talk#<- just in case even though this is pos#but like. okay ive been. SEVERELY underweight all my life#like i looked like a skeleton you could see all my bones it was AWFUL#i just. I've literally always hated looking like that i hated looking like a walking corpse i mean i looked ILL#but recently i started taking remeron for anxiety#partially bc my anxiety keeps causing me to not eat properly bc i feel sick constantly#so i kept ending up in the ER for malnutrition and dehydration and my liver getting messed up#well i started the remeron for the panic attacks bc daily panic attacks suck but the psych mentioned it could increase appetite#and it???? did????? I'm eating on a slightly more regular schedule???? I'm eating more than once a day????#and like. ok I've always weighed like 100lbs#highest i ever got was 111 when i was 16#and then it dropped 10#and then dropped 10 more in the span of 3 months while i was in and out of ER#and i was genuinely starting to panic over it bc i could PHYSICALLY FEEL my muscles getting eaten bc i had no fat left#like i was getting drastically weaker by the day my knees still won't stop buckling#but in the about three months I've been taking those meds I've. gained 10 back#I'm actually gaining weight like me and my mother are genuinely SHOCKED this genuinely hasn't happened since i was fucking TWELVE#and just now i took off my shirt and noticed. holy shit. my stomach doesn't go CONCAVE when I'm hungry anymore#like whenever i couldn't tell if i was hungry before i would just look at my stomach and be able to tell if it was too curved inwards#but now!!!!!!! it doesn't do that!!!!!!! and I'm genuinely fucking ecstatic like oh my god i don't look dead anymore#I've always wanted to gain weight i feel like i would be 100% more comfortable in my body as a fat trans man#and i can't talk about that to anyone bc they always say it's either self harm or fetishistic#when no i just genuinely feel more comfortable in my skin thinking of myself that way#and now i have confirmation that i would genuinely be happier that way with this bc the sheer joy i have at not being underweight anymore#i mean I'm still a bit under but at least im gaining SOMETHING like at least i dont look like a drowned street cat#seeing the very slight rolls and folds in my stomach when i move the right way makes me happy

Killing Me Softly
pairing: cassian x reader
Tumblr media
[ part 2 ]
warnings: swearing, violence, blood, jealous themes, angst
summary: [based off that episode in greys were Mer got beaten by that patient who didn’t remember anything when they woke up]
It had started out as a normal fight.
Something small and fixable.
But somewhere along the way, things had snowballed and the playful Cassian you’d always known had disappeared before your very eyes. “You have a responsibility,” His tone is firm; slightly condescending and you can feel the attitude beginning to form when his arms cross over his chest. Cassian shoulders squared out, spine straight and wings pulled taut as he stood his ground. “The answer is no.”
“Cass, you’re not even listening. I told you I had this planned a week ago,” It comes out rushed, brows furrowed as you tried to meet something else besides that hard wall behind hazel eyes. “Besides it’s the med wing, they always have volunteers coming in to help—it’s just one date.”
“This really isn’t up for discussion,” His steely exterior nearly crumbles to pieces when he sees the way you visibly deflate, fingers grazing over the pretty dress you’d spent three days searching for with Mor and Cass had to pretend to be thrilled when you came barreling through his bedroom door with it in hand. You were beaming, smile so wide he thought your cheeks would split in two. “Now, go get changed.”
Guilt bubbles in his belly at the sight of you, jaw clenched tight and eyes blinking furiously to push back the frustrated tears; you had been really excited. You say nothing when you breeze past him, making sure not to touch him or make eye contact when you disappear back where you came and Cass doesn’t even need to turn around to know the way Azriel is looking at him. “Thought you said the med-wing was fully staffed? Easy day, you said.”
“Don’t even start.”
“It was just one date, she bought a dress and everything.” Az doesn’t buckle at the remorse that begins to scrunch at hard features, hands that clench and unclench at his sides as Cass battled a war that didn’t take prisoners. “If you won’t act on your feelings for her then leave her be so she can be happy.”
“Seriously, mind your fucking business.” Cassian all but snarls, golden eyes like burning lava when regarding his brother; the words hitting much harder than and punch. “She had a job to do and she’ll be here doing it. We don’t have time for stupid dresses and dates when people are dying.”
You don’t speak when you re-emerge in something more sturdy, medical equipment neatly organized in a bag that you held loosely in one hand. A whole folder of papers had been shoved in your grasp from a brooding General, inky hair flying away from his face when the wind cut through on his speedy departure. Frustration builds but you don’t allow it to overcome you, ignoring Azriel’s inquisitive stare, arms crossed over his chest and thick leathers hugging muscular thighs. “You okay?”
You sigh, gesturing to the stack of papers while you begin down the hall. “I’m busy.”
Times flows significantly slower now that you’re aware you’re missing something of importance; you’d really been looking forward to dressing up. Taking special time on your hair and the dark kohl that Mor insisted would make your eyes pop. The bittersweet daydream of what could’ve been is interrupted by the ruffled patient, his body covered in a serious of wrappings and notes near his side table on the tonics he’d been given—heavy duty sedatives and even stronger pain alleviants. Dosages so high there was no was he should’ve been moving, eyes blinking into consciousness and slurred speech stumbling from his tongue. “Where am I?”
“Sir, it’s okay just relax. I’m only here to help.”
“I shouldn’t be here,” Your hands are gentle when they reach out for him in attempts to soothe but it only makes him more agitated, arms whipping around wildly and his volume steadily increases. “Who are you? Why am I here?”
“Sir, please. If you just calm down I can explain—you were hurt, I’m only here to help.”
Rational thought and logic make no home in the frantic patients mind, his terrifyingly sturdy grip latches onto your shoulder. You’re jostled in close, bandages and antiseptic falling from your grasp and you only have time for one sharp yelp before his hands are wrapped around your neck. It takes alarmingly little effort for him to get to his feet, slamming your form down on the cot he’d been recovering in for days. Broken noises pull from your throat, nails scratching at his arms and face and whatever skin you can get your hands on, punching and kicking and reaching for anything to help and just as a black spots line your vision you finally get a good kick in, enough to push you from his hands and your body tumbles to the floor with a thud.
Deep heaving breaths pull from you, sucking in as much oxygen as your lungs will allow and tears you didn’t even realize you’d let out are streaming down the curve of your cheeks as you struggle to gain your footing, to get out of the room but hands are back around your arms. A broken cry fills the air when your face is shoved into the wall, heavy weight pushing you over and over until blood pooled from your temple and choked noises caught in your throat.
You can’t even remember when it stopped, a darkness overtaking you but even that’s abruptly ripped away from you for what feels like just seconds later. Someone screaming, strangled, pain filled shouts when you feel a set of hands on your body, lifting you from the floor and setting you on a cool table. “She’s awake,” You hear Madja firmly speak, hands quick yet sturdy when reaching into her bag to pull out medical grade scissors. “Anyone not necessary needs to leave.”
“She’s family, we aren’t leaving her.” Azriel retorts even stronger, leaving no room for discussion and you can feel the warmth of his hands on your own when he looks down at you. “You’re going to be okay, we’re here. We’re all here.”
You can’t even form words, eyes watery and panicked when darting between both of his own and the grip you have on his fingers when the healer pressed down on your abdomen is enough to have him barking at her for pain relief. “I can’t just give her things without a full assessment.”
“Assess faster—she’s in too much pain.”
Everything goes in one ear and out the other; you keep trying to speak, to beg them to please stop poking there and prodding at that bruise and asking if it hurt there, because it hurt everywhere. Broken whines pull from your throat, chest heaving and limbs trembling so hard the table shook. “I can feel three—no four broken ribs, collarbone fracture on the right side, shoulders dislocated on the right as well.” Madja begins, voice almost void of any emotion as she drifts from a person to a woman in charge. The High Lord in standing near your head, murmuring encouraging words while soaking in the information, a grim expression shared between him and the shadowsinger. “Damage to the brain is possible with such intense trauma to her head; two males had to physically pull the patient off of her.”
“Why would he even do this?” Rhys takes the warm cloth handed to him and gently begins to drag it over your forehead, trying his best to comfort you through the agony. “She’s harmless—she wouldn’t have hurt a fly.”
“It was the first time he’d been lucid since we’d found him; he doesn’t even remember what happened.”
Half a dozen more healers filter in the room with handfuls of equipment, eyes filled with worry when regarding one of their own but they quickly shake it off and step into line to assist. Azriel snarls at Madja’s words, stomach clenching in disdain at the helpless groans you let out, head lolling from side to side, tears treading trails into your hair as the pain overwhelms you.
Madja skims a knuckle over your jaw on accident when accessing the harsh bruising at your throat and the yelp that pulls is absolutely devastating. “Grab the restraints and hold her down,” The healer commands to the others, insisting they wrap them tighter while ignoring the deep shouts of the two males guarding you like their lives depended on it. “Her jaw is broken,” A heavy sigh pulls from Madja, dark hair tightly braided behind her shoulders. “—I have to set it and it won’t be fun so help me or get out of the room so we can do our jobs.”
Rhysand’s fingers are running through your hair, Azriel’s thumb rubbing soothing circles along the back of your hands and you feel the exact moment they both go stiff, heads turning to face the towering figure that stuttered to a stop in the doorway. “I’ll hold her arms,” The shadowsinger holds your arms with a firmness you hadn’t experienced from him before, soft apologies being whispered into your ears when your heart rate surges. “Cass, hold her legs. She needs to be still.”
The General doesn’t move, eyes wide and mouth hung open when he takes in your form. The clothes that were cut from your body, the countless amounts of thick gauze and medical towels soaked with your blood pooling in piles on the floor. Warbled streaks of crimson red is a stark contrast against the white floors; the smeared print of ten fingers and two palms drag along the wall, the small side table and the around door handle—you’d just nearly gotten away. “Cassian,” Azriel snaps, the rough tone ripping him from his trance. “Hold down her legs, now.”
The shock doesn’t wear off even if he does do as he’s told, golden eyes stuck on every bruise, ears painfully attuned to every whimper, every cry and gut-wrenching scream when your jaw was forced open, the bone shifting with a deafening crunch. “Please, please, please.” You barely get the words out; speech slurred, sweat lacing your forehead, body shaking so hard from the pain you couldn’t tell what was up from down. “Please, make it stop. Please, I’ll do anything—please stop.”
“Give her something!” Rhys snapped, wiping away tears and bracing you from moving around too much.
Madja scoffs, outnumbered and overwhelmed she calls for a tonic, allowing a higher dose than normal and your relief is instant. Deep cries fade to drawn out whimpers before your whole form goes eerily limp. “This will not be an easy recovery; if you think that was bad, just wait.” Quick hands make work of setting your shoulder with a sharp jolt and another healer is wrapping it in thick bandages to keep it in place. “Why was she even in here? The form specifically stated that supervision was required for this patient—she shouldn’t have been alone.”
“She shouldn’t have been here at all,” One of the healers muttered under her breath, hands quick and careful when tucking your hair behind your ear and dabbing your face clean of the blood that had started drying. “—she had a date today. I took this shift for her so she could go. She’s been talking about it all week.”
A silence fills the room and Rhys follows the sharp stare Azriel had trained on the General who’d been stuck in place at your feet. His hands shake where they rest near your calves, gaze seemly stuck on the socks you wore, fabric torn and stained in your own blood and he can just picture how hard you’d struggled trying to escape. Cassian says nothing, not when the others seem to catch on; putting together a piece of the puzzle in his silence—the shock that settles in every pore and the guilt that radiated from his burly form.
He only watches as they collect the soiled gauze off the floor, antiseptic filling the space when they begin to scrub your handprints off the wall, sweeping up the drywall that gave way from the pure strength put into smashing your body to pieces. “Four broken ribs,” Azriel’s voice is unnervingly calm when the last of the healers filter out, the door shutting behind with a soft click. “—a fractured collarbone; she was thrown into the wall so hard her shoulder popped out of socket.” Rhys takes a step forward, a hand raised to stop the shadowsinger but he’s sharply cut off, Az’s tone getting just a bit deeper when he stalks towards Cassian like predators did their prey. “He nearly shattered her skull—she’d be dead if it weren’t for one of the other patients. They heard her scream and found me.” Inky shadows slink around Azriel’s shoulders, but it’s the hand that pushes Cassian a step away from you that finally gains his attention.
“Azriel—“ Rhysand begins to intercept but abruptly pauses when the spymaster continues, fingers pointed at the leader of the Night Courts armies.
“You made her stay today because you were jealous.”
The High Lord goes still, violet eyes sliding from one friend to the other. “What?”
“She had a date and Cass was jealous because he has feelings for her and is too afraid to say anything.” Azriel can’t seem to stop once he’s started; such pure rage burning beneath his skin at the selfishness that resulted in such unimaginable pain.
“You think any of that matters right now?” Cassian doesn’t even sound like himself; no booming voice or need to make his point, no logical facts and carefully thought out points. He can’t even stop looking at you, eyes glassy and shoulders slumped when remembering what you’d looked like just two hours earlier. “I thought I didn’t deserve her before but now—after this? I know I don’t.”

lando norris x reader
Being a couple both of whose love languages were physical touch, you and Lando were no strangers to a bit of playfighting. Lando loved nothing more than to tackle you onto the soft surface of a sofa or bed and watch you squirm playfully, collapsing into a fit of giggles as you tried to take control of his strong form and make him do what you wanted. It was perhaps the only time Lando would allow his competitive side to slide, letting you pin him down and sit on his toned stomach in victory.
So it was nothing out of the ordinary when he leaned against the doorframe, watching you pad around the kitchen making dinner in one of his Quadrant t-shirts he felt a familiar burst of love begin to creep up his abdomen. It was a quiet Friday night before the Monaco Grand Prix, the both of you enjoying the comfort of being in your own apartment before what was sure to be a hectic weekend.
As soon as you put down the wooden spoon you'd been using to stir the dinner, he makes a beeline for you.
"Lovie," he half mumbles, half laughs into your shoulder as he scoops you off the floor.
"Lando!" you giggle, making a feeble attempt to shrug him off. "Stop, I'm making dinner," you protest, while really having no intention of making him stop.
Lando twists you around so he's holding you horizontally, gripping onto your waist and starts to spin you around so you can't reach to push him off.
"You just look so cuddly and cute dressed like that," he defends, nuzzling into the crook of your neck. "Just wanna love my girl a little."
You both shriek with laughter as he begins to spin you even faster. Lando's certain that hearing you laugh like that because of him is one of the best feelings he's ever had. He feels like he might be flying a little, until your left arm flicks out with the force of being spun and the sound of a crack against the marble counter stops him in his tracks.
"Baby?" He asks uncertainly as he sets you gently on your feet.
"Ow." you blink back tears. "That hurt. But I'm fi-"
You cut yourself off as your hearing becomes muffled.
"Lan, I can't..." you put both hands up to your ears, pressing as if to try and restore your hearing. It comes flooding back, along with a throbbing pain in your wrist as it pushes against your head.
"Fuck, baby. Fuck!" Lando says, snapping into action. Not only is his girlfriend clearly hurt, she got hurt under his care, and it was his fault too.
He grabs a bag of frozen peas from the freezer, pulling you gently over to a chair at the dining table and sitting you down. He hands you the bag of peas, gesturing for you to rest your hurt hand on it.
"Did it...always bend that way?" He asks quietly, face going pale as you both assess the situation. The tears begin to fall as the full brunt of the pain begins to hit and Lando is quick to lead you downstairs, getting you buckled into his car and running around to the driver's seat.
It takes a little while longer than normal to get to the emergency room, as lots of roads have been closed off in preparation for qualifying tomorrow, and Lando drums his fingers impatiently on the wheel.
"Not long, baby. We're gonna get you some help, and they can give you something to help the pain, ok? I'm right here with you." He tries to reassure you.
Good as his word, Lando doesn't leave your side once. He holds your hand whilst they set your fractured wrist back into place, gritting his teeth and keeping quiet as your nails dig into the calloused skin of his hands. He rubs your back softly as they wrap a pink (as requested) cast around.
You sleep on the way home, suddenly exhausted now the pain meds have kicked in. Lando watches you quietly each time he stops at a red light. He feels sick to his stomach as the red glare catches the streaks of dried tears on your cheeks.
Once back in your apartment, Lando carries you bridal style up to the bedroom. He undresses you quickly, taking care not to bump your wrist as he pulls one of his shirts over your head, one of the softer ones that you love to sleep in.
"I'm sorry," he mumbles into your hair as he wraps himself around you. "I'm so, so, sorry."
You shake your head softly, waking up a little.
"I know you are, Lando. It was an accident."
"But I promised I'd never do anything to hurt you, and I broke it. I broke you." He frets.
You lean up and press a kiss to his pouty lips.
"It was an accident, both of us were being silly. I'm not upset at you, just upset it happened. So please don't beat yourself up about it, okay?" you say and Lando nods solemnly, snuggling down so your head is laying on his chest. He strokes your hair softly and you breathe in his scent, closing your eyes.
"Does it hurt? A lot?" Lando asks quietly into the darkness.
"No." you lie.
Although you'd assured Lando you were fine in the morning, ready to come and support him during qualifying, you were quickly deteriorating as the day dragged on. You found yourself sinking into a cushioned seat in the McLaren hospitality, beginning to shiver as the ache from your wrist travels up your arm. Lando is busy preparing for qualifying, but Adam is talking to an engineer and notices his son's girlfriend fading into herself and walks over to check on you.
"Everything ok?," he questions you. "Should I get Lando for you? He gave strict orders to interrupt him at any time if you weren't feeling well."
"I just need my next painkillers, I think." you say, trying to smile in a way you hope is reassuring. "Do you know where they ended up? I didn't bring a bag so Lando had them in his pocket when we arrived."
Adam tells you he will go and hunt down your meds, but unsurprisingly Lando spots his dad looking around and excuses himself from talking to Zak in the garage and jogs over to the hospitality.
"Baby, are you OK?" He asks, wrapping you in a gentle hug. You sigh, sinking into his chest and allowing him to hold you up.
"It's just..it's really starting to hurt now." you say, and his heart sinks at the sight of your bottom lip beginning to wobble.
"I'm sorry, Y/N," he says truthfully. "Do you want to go home and take a nap there? I can get someone to drive you now."
You shake your head stubbornly.
"I want to stay and see how you qualify. I just need some pain meds."
"They're in my driver's room with my clothes." He explains. "Do you want to come with me? I have that fold-down bed in there now, you can have a quick nap?"
You nod, allowing him to lead you into his room. Once there, he hands you your meds and then slips his comfy cable-knit sweater over your head to stop your shivering. He does his best to tuck you in all comfy, pressing a kiss to your forehead.
"I'll come and wake you up in about an hour or so, ok?"
As he shuts the door behind him, he hears a soft "Thank you, Lan." He blows you a kiss, heading back to the garage.
When Lando comes back to wake you up, he's met with a much happier looking Y/N. You sit up on the bed, kissing his cheek and stretching.
"Do you have a pen anywhere? Or do you know where I can find one?" You ask.
Lando frowns, but gestures that he'll be one minute as he slips into Oscar's driver’s room for a second, returning with a Sharpie and handing it to you.
"What's it for?" He asks. "Are you going to vandalize McLaren to get me back?"
You giggle, standing up from the bed.
"I'm heading over to Red Bull," you explain, as if that would make any sense to Lando. "I'm going to see if I can get Max Verstappen to sign my cast. Ooh, and maybe I'll look for Charles too after."
"What?!" Lando splutters. He can't believe his ears. "You want Max and Charles to sign your cast before your own boyfriend? I know they were your favorites before we met, but have I made no progress?"
You laugh, flopping into him and leaning against his legs.
"It's because I don't want to exploit you, baby. I'm going to enjoy their signatures and then maybe sell the cast on eBay once it's off."
Lando bursts out laughing at your explanation, eyes squeezing shut as he holds you tight.
"My little businesswoman. Can I please be the first to sign it?" He asks.
You hand him the Sharpie, holding out your wrist to him. He takes it ever so gently and his tongue peeks out his mouth as he concentrates.
Twisting your arm around to read it, you grin as Lando looks proud of his work. Instead of signing as he would sign a hat or shirt for a fan, he's simply printed his name, followed by a collection of kisses and one wonky love heart. He lightly kisses your exposed fingers, then pats you cheekily on the bum as you pass him.
"Go get your signatures, baby."

Low Effort
Pairing: Jay Halstead x Reader
Requested: no
Summary: Y/N gets a surprise visit, which triggers some unpleasant symptoms
Tumblr media
Word Count: 1k+
Tags/Warnings: mentions of stomach cramps, slight allusion to anxiety, negative emotions
A/N: Long time no see! This is a thing I needed to get off my chest and needed to get the emotions out, so it’s just some Jay comfort/fluff. Also, a warning that I haven’t written in so long, this kind of feels a bit meh, so I hope I haven’t lost too much of my writing touch LOL
JAY HALSTEAD MASTERLIST
Tumblr media
You closed your laptop shut, just as your phone lit up with a notification about a new message from Jay.
Sorry, got held up. 10 minutes. Tops.
You smiled, typing a quick response of acknowledgment to tell him not to hurry before you got up, grabbing your bag. You were too fried to continue anything else so you figured you would just go and wait for him. Fresh air was better than whatever was coming through the office vents.
As the glass doors of the main entrance on the first floor slid open and you felt the chill of the Chicago winds hit your face, you sighed. Fresh air was definitely better.
“Y/N.”
You glanced up, your eyebrows naturally bunching together at the sound of a woman’s voice.
As your eyes met hers, you froze for a moment, your brain still processing the fact that she was here.
“Amy?” Her name slipped past your lips before you could stop yourself, even though the only emotion you were feeling at this moment was surprise. There was nothing positive or negative about it.
Amy could feel it in your voice as well. “Can we talk? I’ve missed you.”
You frowned as a cramp shot through your lower abdomen.
“I thought we were better friends than this. Low-maintenance, remember?” Amy said, and you could hear the tone in her voice, the one she used when she was upset or disappointed.
The feeling of indignation shot through you once again.
“Yeah, low maintenance, not low effort.”
Your voice was low but you didn’t let the emotion sway it. You spent years telling yourself that it was just a low-maintenance friendship, that you were both just busy, but you couldn’t ignore the way she’d reappear in front of you only when she needed your support, or when the guy she was seeing was out of town.
You glanced up at the street but hadn’t seen Jay’s car yet.
You exhaled. “Look, Amy. You have your priorities, I get it. Just don’t expect me to drop mine when you blow back into town or when your boyfriend doesn’t have time for you. It doesn’t work that way.”
You felt the cramps intensify and knew what it was. You called it “emotional cramps” with Jay, joking that as long as he kept you happy you’d be fine. Yet, here they were again. Maybe it was because you hadn’t had them in a while, you felt them more intensely now.
You put a hand on your stomach as you looked up at Amy. As expected, she had an indignant look on her face.
“How could you say that, Y/N? I know the fact that I was seeing Trevor was a sore spot with you because you weren’t seeing anyone so I didn’t want to make things harder for you. But now…”
You couldn't even respond as the pain ripped through you once again and you bent forward slightly, your knees buckling a little. You braced yourself for the impact of your knees hitting the concrete sidewalk when you felt his arms around you.
“Babe, what’s wrong?”
Jay.
Amy seemed stunned for a moment before she spoke again, “It must be her…”
“Why’s it acting up?” Jay asked, his entire focus on you as you glanced up at him and quietly shook your head.
Jay glanced up at Amy. They didn’t know each other since you’d met Jay sometime after contact between you and Amy had dwindled to almost nothing. By the time you and Jay had started dating, you’d made up your mind to let go of Amy and this friendship, and it had merely nagged at you a little at the back of your mind from time to time so you hadn’t brought her up.
“Come on, we’re going to Med,” Jay said quietly, pulling you upright.
You glanced at him. “Don’t you dare carry me,” You warned.
Despite the worried look in his eyes, Jay smiled. “We’re going to Will.” He repeated, almost like he was daring you to argue.
You didn’t argue. Partly because all you wanted to do was get out of there but partly because you knew it was useless. Besides, the pain was more intense than you remembered.
Without a second glance back, Jay helped you into the car and drove off, both of you leaving Amy still standing on the sidewalk.
Tumblr media
You knew what had triggered the attack, so after getting medication for the pain and cramping, you’d been feeling much better.
“You know I’d be feeling even better if you would stop hovering, Detective.” You said, directing the comment at your boyfriend.
Will smiled as he tapped on the iPad in his hand and glanced at his brother. “She’s fine. Her tests are normal, and it was probably just a one-off stress-related attack.”
You nodded. “I’ll follow up with my therapist, I promise.”
Will ruffled your hair affectionately and you growled because he knew you hated it.
“I’ll get the discharge started.”
Jay was quiet as he leaned over you, pressing a gentle kiss to your forehead. “You sure you’re okay?”
You nodded, before you glanced back down.
“Amy’s an old friend.” You said, after a while. "At least, she was."
Jay didn’t say anything, so you continued, telling him about how Amy was when she started dating anyone, and it only progressively got worse. “And it’s not about seeing her often, you know? It’s just…”
Jay nodded. “You didn’t feel like she cared.”
You sighed quietly. “I just… it got to a point where I realized she didn’t care. I was a friend when she needed me, and when she didn’t, I just… didn’t exist. And apparently, to her, that’s me being sore.”
Jay just took your hand in his, gently stroking your fingers.
“But I just realized it was better to have no one than to be treated that way, so I just…”
“You don’t have to explain anything to me,” Jay said quietly. “Listen, someone who gives you low effort doesn’t deserve you. I don’t care who they are. Anyone who makes you feel this way doesn’t deserve even one percent of you.”
You looked up at him and smiled, a little sadness hidden behind it.
“I guess seeing her today just brought it all back, you know? And then it triggered all those emotions and then my stomach cramps decided to join the party.” You made a face.
Jay smiled quietly back at you. “But you know what? You’re not alone. At least not anymore.”
You smiled and leaned forward for a hug. Jay perched by the edge of the bed, pulling you gently into his arms and you buried your face into his shoulders, feeling his arms encircle your entire body.
“I know.” You whispered.
Jay kissed the top of your head. “Good.”

Meeting the Firefam
Tumblr media
Eddie x reader
~1600 words
Warnings: epileptic reader. Hopefully accurately portrayed.
You parked in front of the station and turned off the ignition. Taking one final deep breath, you pushed the door open and stepped out. You didn't know why you were so nervous. Meeting Eddie’s coworkers shouldn't seem so frightening.
What if they hated you? What if they told him to break up with you? You knew they were more like family to him than just coworkers. Their opinions mattered a lot. You had only been dating him a little over a month but you had fallen hard. You really couldn't imagine your life without him and Chris and even Carla.
You needed them to like you.
Making your way inside, you quickly spotted Eddie as he approached. You greeted him with a kiss before he pulled you into a hug.
“Hey, you. How was traffic?” He asked.
You shrugged. “Normal. Slow.” Eddie knew it was your least favorite part about LA.
“I think lunch is almost ready. You ready to meet everyone?”
“No.” You wrapped your hands around his bicep as he started walking toward the trucks.
He leaned over and kissed your temple. “I told you they’re going to love you. You have nothing to worry about.” He pulled you along with him towards Buck and another firefighter beside the truck.
Buck smiled when he spotted you. “Hey, Y/N. Glad you finally decided to come have lunch with us.”
“Hi, Buck. Someone has been persistent.” You looked at Eddie just in time to catch his shrug.
“Y/N, this is Ravi.” Eddie introduced.
Ravi lifted his hand for you to shake. “Nice to finally meet you.”
“You too.”
Eddie pulled you away towards the stairs that led to the loft. You couldn't help but look around at everything. “This is a beautiful building.”
Eddie nodded. “I agree. It's my favorite station in the city.”
You had barely made it to the top of the stairs before you were being engulfed in hugs. “Oh, uh, hi.”
Eddie chuckled. “This is Hen and Chimney.”
“We are so excited to finally meet you. Eddie here won't shut up about you,” Chimney said.
You glanced at Eddie, catching him trying to hide his blush. “I don't talk about her that much,” he argued.
“Constantly,” Hen mouthed at you with a grin.
Next, Eddie led you over to the kitchen. “And this is Cap.”
The man in front of the stove wiped his hands on a dish towel before reaching out for a handshake. “It's Bobby.”
“Nice to meet you. It smells amazing in here.”
Bobby smiled. “Well, thank you. This will be done in a few minutes. Eddie, can you grab everyone down stairs?”
“On it.” Eddie pointed to the couches. “You can make yourself comfortable over there.”
Within ten minutes, everyone was getting settled at the table. Eddie took your hand to pull you up from the couch. As he pulled out a chair for you, you suddenly felt your left arm go numb.
“Oh no.” You mumbled. You reached out towards Eddie as your knees buckled and the world around you disappeared.
Eddie was quick to catch you before you could hit the ground. “Woah. Y/N?” When you didn't open your eyes he slowly lowered you to the floor. Seconds later you were convulsing violently. Eddie couldn't help but to just stare at you in shock.
Chim was on the floor beside Eddie a second later. “Eddie, we got her.”
“I'll grab a med kit,” Hen announced as she ran for the stairs.
Chimney kept you rolled on your side. Bobby stepped closer to pull Eddie away. “They need room to work.”
Eddie tried to resist. “I should help.”
Buck stepped beside his best friend to keep him out of the way.
Bobby stepped towards you and grabbed your foot, pulling off your shoe. “Medical alert. Epilepsy.” He pointed at the shoelace tag as he looked towards Eddie.
Eddie shook his head. “I didn't know. Why didn't she tell me?”
Hen returned with a monitor and med kit and Chim filled her in. “Epilepsy. Let's just give it a minute.”
Eddie pushes past Buck and sat down on the ground by your head. He whispered soft reassurances in case you could hear him.
Chim pulled a pulse ox monitor out of the med kit and clipped it on your finger.
“She's barely breathing,” Eddie pointed out. He knew that was common with seizures but still couldn't help the mild panic he felt.
“That's normal,” Hen reminded him. She started to attach an oxygen mask to the tank she’d carried upstairs just in case.
Next, Chim started to attach cardiac leads to your chest. Once he'd finished, they waited for the seizure to stop.
“That's five minutes,” Bobby pointed out.
Hen and Chim sighed as they locked eyes with each other. “Alright, let's push Ativan,” Chim said.
“I'll start an IV,” Hen announced. “Eddie can you hold her arm?” He did as asked, trying to hold your arm as still as possible without hurting you. “I'm in.”
Chim pushed the meds he'd drawn up as soon as IV was secured. It took about another twenty seconds for the seizure to finally stop.
Everyone let out a relieved breath. Eddie pushed some hair back behind your ear.
“Let's get her loaded up and to the hospital,” Chimney broke the momentary silence.
Hen nodded. “I'll go radio dispatch and get ready.”
Within five minutes you were loaded into the ambulance with Eddie and Chim beside you as Hen shifted into drive.
“Ugh.” You groaned a few minutes later. “N-no hospital,” you mumbled out fighting your grogginess.
Eddie ran his hand over your head. “Yes, hospital.”
You huffed, frustrated you can't get the words out to explain. “E-epi–”
“We know about your epilepsy, we found your alert tag,” Eddie interrupted. “Sweetheart, your seizure lasted almost six minutes. Hen and Chim had to push meds to stop it. You have to go in.”
Your eyebrows rose in surprise. Suddenly you were glad you'd been with them for lunch and not alone at home. You knew he was right and allowed yourself to relax. “Tired.”
Eddie pressed a kiss to your knuckles. “That's the medicine. You can sleep.”
You nodded as your eyes drifted closed. You weren't sure you could have stayed awake even if you'd tried.
A few hours later, you were finally settled into a room after being poked and prodded. They had run all kinds of tests trying to figure out what might have caused the long seizure.
“Anything I can get for you?” the nurse asked.
You shook your head as you shifted in an attempt to find a comfortable position. Every muscle was sore.
“Okay. I'll let your visitors know they can come in now, if that's alright with you,” the nurse says as she walks toward the door.
“Visitors? Plural?” You ask surprised.
“You have a whole herd of firefighters waiting out there for you,” she explains.
“Oh, wow. Could you just send Eddie in for now?”
She smiles kindly. “Of course, honey.”
Eddie pushes the door open not five minutes later. He pulls up a chair and takes your hand in his, careful to avoid your IV line.
“Hi,” you greeted
“Hi. How ya feeling?” He asked.
“Kinda like someone put me through a blender.”
He chuckled and nodded. “You scared me. I'm just glad Bobby noticed your medical alert tag.”
“I'm sorry,” you sighed. “This is definitely not how I planned to tell you about my epilepsy.”
He locks eyes with you. “So you were planning to tell me.” He looks annoyed or maybe hurt that you hadn't already told him.
“Eventually.” You drop your gaze to the bed. “It's not exactly an easy conversation. It's caused a few break ups over the years.”
“What do you mean?” He looks genuinely confused.
“I'm too much to deal with. No one wants to deal with seizures,” you try to explain. “And you already have to deal with sick people all day at work. I'm sure the last thing you want to do is deal with the same at home.” You sniffle. “I'll understand if you want out now.”
“Y/N,” Eddie said, placing a finger under your chin to make you look at him. “I love you. This could never change that. Any guy who dumped you because of this is an asshole.”
Tears rolled down your face before you were suddenly sobbing, relief washing over you in waves.
Eddie moved quickly to sit beside you on the bed. Pulling you into his side and shishing you softly.
You had been so worried about telling him for so long. “I-I'm sorry. I should have told you.” You sniffled harshly. “I should have known you'd accept this part of me.”
“You have nothing to apologize for. I know now. That's all that matters.”
Eventually you calmed down but you were beyond exhausted. “Hey, isn't everyone still out there waiting?”
“Yeah.” He pulled his phone out of his pocket. “I'll text them that you're okay and let them know they can head home.”
Placing a hand over his screen, you shook your head. “No. I want to see them.”
“You need to rest,” he argued. “They can come back tomorrow or we can go to the station if you're discharged.”
“Just a quick visit. Please? Fifteen minutes.”
Sighing, he stood from where he was still perched on the bed. “Ten.”
“Deal.”

Haii! I loved your headcanons of drunk Noir! Now,can I request for headcanons of Noir with a drunk reader?
HELLOOOOO ANON !! <33 thank you so much, i'm glad you liked it :> and WILL DO !!
spider noir with a drunk reader
"oh, boy, what'd you get yourself into this time, dearest?"
he'd've come immediately when he was called by your friend or the bartender once they noticed you in... this state.
if you hadn't come with friends, it'd've taken the bartenders a while before they could get a hold of his number, peter would have to call you first before you could tell the bartenders in a slurred voice to call him.
when he sees you all drunk, happy, and wobbly, he'd rush to your side immediately when he senses you're about to lose balance and fall.
he'd get mad when he heard about it, but when he saw you, and heard you say you missed him, how much you loved him... his anger melted away and now, he's just relieved you weren't put in any danger.
"i thought you said you'd come home after the first two swigs, you promised me. ...ah, well, i'm coming with you next time. i'll make sure you keep your promise while i'm there, dear."
when he does end up coming with you and you still get overboard and drunk, HE SAYS "darn it" AND TAKES A DRINK HIMSELF.
when he sees a guy trying to hit on you or do worse with you while inebriated, he immediately steps into action and gets in between you two.
"i told you... they're mine. they're uninterested, and they're mine. right, love?" and in your drunken stupor, you fall asleep against his shoulder and mumble his name, which melts away some of his defensiveness and anger, but he still wants to kick the shit out that guy for you.
when he drives you home, he has all the essentials; meds, plastic bags, water, crackers, and the music that calms you down as you both drive.
one time when he was buckling your seat belt, you held on to his wrist, looked at him in the eye, giggled, and told him, "oh, my husband's gonna be so mad... i got in a car with a total knockout. say, handsome, why're you... so nerdy looking? man, you look... a lot like pete..." then you fall asleep.
when he takes you to bed, you insist you can't sleep with a hot stranger who's a nerd because you're married and you love peter.
"sorry, hot nerd... i can't. peter's... peter's waiting at--at home for me. i gotta... get home... to our bed. then tell him... i love him... and kiss his... nerdy ass face..."
"oh, love... i love you, too" he said as he tucks you into bed and kisses you, with you blushing, giggling and mumbling his name as you sleep.
a/n: IN SHORT, HE'S A GENTLEMAN AND ALWAYS WILL BE FOR YOU EVEN IF YOU DISOBEY HIM <333 HE'S THE STANDARD NEXT TO PAV OKKKKK

364 days later (Steddie holiday drabble)
Written for @steddieholidaydrabbles, day 30/31 prompt, New Year's Eve/Resolutions I AM SO SAD IT IS NEARLY OVER!!!!
When Steve is hurt on New Year’s Eve, he discovers there’s only one person he can truly go home to.
WC: 918 Rating: T CW: off-screen/pre-fic violence including domestic violence. Tags: hurt/comfort, fluff. Established steddie.
Also part of my steve whump fic series (mainly steddie) on ao3
***
“I hadn’t a clue where else to go,” says Steve, an odd tremor in his voice.
Steve hadn’t knocked, hadn’t announced his arrival. Eddie simply opened the trailer door and found him. God knows how long he’s been standing at the bottom of the steps, cradling one arm in the other. It’s dark, but it’s screamingly obvious something’s wrong. Steve’s hair is kinda ruffled for starters.
“I mean, yeah, we have a date later,” Steve rambles, “being New Years Eve and all that crap, and… uh…”
Holy shit! Eddie jumps down to him, freaking out big-time. Blood smears one side of Steve’s face, his lip is bruised, and his harsh breaths cloud the icy air. Eddie wants to hug him tight; instead, he briefly clams up, super-terrified. He’s never seen anybody so robust appear so… brittle.
Gently, he cups the uninjured side of Steve’s face, curves an arm around him. “What the hell happened?”
“I did it, man. Finally. My dad… I, um…”
“Your dad did this?”
“He wishes,” Steve says, snarky.
Eddie seriously can’t fathom whether he’s lying: “Who else, man?”
“Got jumped leaving work, and I… I…” Steve’s wretched laugh crumbles into an even more wretched whimper. Eddie catches him, as his knees buckle.
“Okay, big guy, I gotcha.”
He bundles him inside, sits him on the couch. Steve stares spacily, hugs his arm, rocks himself.
Momentarily, Eddie literally flaps. Then he grabs a chilled beer from the fridge, douses a clean cloth in water. He coaxes Steve into holding the can against his swollen wrist, while Eddie dabs the blood from his face.
“Gonna sting,” warns Eddie. Steve hisses. “Sorry, Stevie.”
“It’s fine. Christ, I’m okay.”
“Not buying that BS today. Not sorry.”
Eddie frowns, concentrating hard. The cut, fortunately, has clotted already. He binds Steve’s wrist with a make-shift bandage. Steve mutters about getting kicked a LOT, when he was curled on the ground, shielding his face. Eddie feels sick, soothingly shushes Steve’s gasps of pain. Possibly as much to comfort himself as Steve. “Look, we should get you to the Med—"
“No way. I’ll fix… Listen, I finally did it,” repeats Steve, as his eyes flutter closed.
“Yeah? Did what exactly, Babe?”
 “Carried out my New Year’s resolution.”
***
Steve barely recalls how he got here.
He’d driven around aimlessly. His wrist hurt so bad that he goddamn cried, too far gone to give a shit. He couldn’t think; he was drowning, sucked deep into thick, suffocating waters. Some crazy inner compass drew him to the one place he could pull for the surface.
He found himself outside Eddie’s trailer. Standing there stupidly, hurting and shivering. Not even yelling to be let in. Now, he’s inside and getting warm with Eddie, who asks again what happened.
Crap, does Steve even know?
He honestly couldn’t ID his attackers. Sorta knew why he was attacked, being guilty of so much these days—hanging with geeks, being a king that lost his crown, not to mention his boyfriend being Eddie ‘spawn-of-satan’ Munson.
Then his Dad.
The look he’d given Steve, when Steve arrived home bruised and bloodied.
“He didn’t need to say it,” says Steve, head resting on Eddie’s shoulder. “It was written all over his smug-ass face. You deserve this.”
He’d yelled his butt off about Steve making trouble. Shoved Steve around a bit, knowing he was in no shape to fight back.
“I told him to stick it. Left with basically nothing. Okay, the car, though that technically belongs to him, and… Shit, where am I gonna go?”
His tardy reality check hits like a baseball bat to the gut. Huddled against Eddie, he’s shaking, breaths hitching, hating himself for it. Eddie wraps his other arm across Steve and holds him.
Simply holds him.
And yeah, he calms a little.
“Seriously, don’t sweat it,” says Eddie. “You can stay here till you’ve figured stuff out. Forever, if you need.”
Steve glances up, swipes angrily across his damp cheekbone. “Uh, earth to Eddie? Wayne?”
“He’ll cuss under his breath. And love the heck out of you. Already does. What’s one more overgrown brat?”
“C’mon, he’ll—"
“Look, I’m genuinely blown away. It’s New Year’s Eve and you’ve already nailed your resolution.”
Steve buries his face again, and… Woah! He’s laughing. Eddie’s kickass painkillers are working, or… Screw it, life never sucks so bad when he’s with Eddie.
“Leaving home was last year’s resolution,” he mumbles toward Eddie’s armpit.
“Oh.” Eddie plants a soft kiss on Steve’s hair.
“Yeeeeah. I’m only, like, 364 days late.”
***
Eddie’s still freaking that he should get Steve better help. However, Steve is a dead weight against him, knee curled in Eddie’s lap, and refuses to budge from the circle of Eddie’s arms.
New Year ticks by, lost in a gentle, lingering kiss. Eddie ghosts his thumb, featherlight, down the uninjured side of Steve’s face. Steve scrunches his good hand tightly in Eddie’s hair, deepening the kiss more passionately than—given Steve’s bruises—Eddie dares.
“Happy New Year, Babe,” whispers Eddie, when they break apart. A sneaky smile plays on Steve’s lips. “What?”
“I hit a winning streak,” says Steve, “I’ve smashed this year’s resolution already.”
“Huh?”
“Do I really have to spell it out, dipshit?”
Fixing deep in Steve’s eyes, Eddie’s grin spreads slowly. Dammit, this was going down as the worst and best New Year ever, and sure as heck the most shamefully sappy:
Oh, I get it. Falling in love.
“Back at ya,” he says, and tumbles forward into another kiss.

Jay Halstead x daughter
Heyyy this is my first time in a while writing a story and I feel like my writing isn’t as good as it used to be, that’s also why this one shot is so short <3
Words: 580
Warnings: not proof read, mentions of blood and hospitalization
Summary: Jay’s daughter has her first period and is a bit unsure of how to handle it, so he calls his brother Will for help.
Tumblr media
Raising a teenage daughter on your own wasn't always easy and Jay Halstead knew that better than anyone, cuz he had a 14 year old daughter named Emily. Despite all the ups and downs and sometimes quite heavy fights and disagreements, hear and Jay were close and Emily was also close to her uncle Will and few others from both Firehouse 51, Intelligence and Med.
It was an early morning in Chicago when Emily woke because of some stomach cramps. She rolled up on her side and curled into fetal position and just laid like that for a minutes until her dad came in to wake her up before he left for work. But concern spreader over Jay's face as he saw the distressed state his daughter was in, he gently approached her and sat down in the edge of her bed pulling some of her out of her face behind her ear as he caressed her arm lightly.
"What's wrong pumpkin?" He asked in a gentle tone as Emily could barely move due to the pain in her stomach who kept intensifying.
"It's my stomach. It really hurts. Can we call uncle Will?" Emily asked her brother curling up even more as Jay felt her forehead which was burning up a bit.
"Oh sweetie, you're burning up. Let's get you checked up" Jay said as he pulled the covers of Emily to carry her down to his truck when he saw the blood on the bed as he started panicking and took out his phone to call Will.
"Hey, what's up?"
"Will, it's Emily. She woke up with severe stomach pain and when I removed her covers there was a lot of blood on the sheets and she can barely move. She's just laying in her all curled up, I'm bringing her in"
"Okay, based on your description it sounds like experience her first period. I'll be ready for you when you get here"
"Okay thank you Will"
Jay said as he hung up the phone and went back over to his daughter as he gently he shamed her arm but she didn't react to it, he tried again a little harder this time as she slowly opened her eyes and immediately felt the pain again as Jay gently picked her up trying to not move her too much as he carried her down to his truck and got her buckled up as he wrapped her in her favorite blanket calling Hailey while driving off towards Med telling her he wouldn't be in today.
Arriving at Med Jay picked up Emily who was still wrapped in the blanket as she clung to her dad when Will came over with a gurney as Jay placed his daughter on it but she refused to let go of him.
“Come on, Ems. You gotta let go so Will can take a look at you just like you asked for earlier” Jay said in a calm tone as Emily loosened her grip on Jay and Will wheeled her into a treatment room.
“Emily” Will said calmly getting the attention of his niece as she was struggling to keep her eyes open.
“I’m gonna give you some pain relievers and April is gonna come in and give you some fluid. So now I suggest you get some rest princess and I’ll be back to check on later” Will said kissing the top of his nieces head as he went out and closed the door

Clutz
warnings: bad writing lol
synopsis: You wipe out while doing Girls on Fire, Kidd makes Kelly call your brother.
Tumblr media
The first time you were introduced to Firehouse 51 was when Jay took you to a game and Kidd and Severiade were there. It was almost like Jay and Severiade were copies of each other, with the same sense of humour and attitude. Kidd had taken you under her wing, explaining what was happening at the game while Jay and Severiade cheered. When the game ended Stella encouraged you to drop by the Firehouse sometime to meet everyone else, seeming that everyone at Med and the district were all close.
You took Stella up on that, stopping by when they were on shift with baking. Normally you would take it to Jay or Will at work but they were both too busy today to stop and talk. When you wandered through the doors into the break room, immediately Stella jumped up to greet you.
In her Milwaukee accent, she declared, "This is Y/N Halstead! She's welcome here whenever." She said the last bit to you, grinning. She quickly went around the room rattling off the names of everyone.
You smiled, holding up your container, "I bought brownies."
Cruz got up from the table and mockingly raising his hands like he was thanking the lord, "You're a saint."
It became some kind of routine, often you would bake something a week, dropping it to the district and to the firehouse. They were always excited to see you; soon it became exactly how intelligence treated you. Like you had gotten a bunch of aunt and uncles overnight, who all cared about you.
Eventually, Stella convinced you to join Girls on Fire, roping Kylie into convincing you it was a fun program. Kylie told you about how Stella annoyed her until she committed to staying in Girls on Fire and now she was helping run it. When you joined, you loved it. It was nice to be around other girls who were like you and also be training in a fun way.
When Jay would pick you up after, he was always amused by how excited you were to tell him about what happened. Will was also impressed with the first aid they were teaching. He teased you about how he had tried to teach you and you didn't care, but now when it was someone else you were interested.
"That's because you suck at teaching," You replied.
Girls on fire was normally cancelled when it snowed, but today it had been on and off so Stella said she'd find something to do on the apparatus floor. Boden allowed Stella to park the squad and truck rigs on the driveway so you could use the floor. After a while of running around in turnout gear, you all started to complain about being overheated. Kylie had said something smart about getting used to the feeling if you wanted to actually fight a fire. Kidd had agreed, but opened one of the doors anyway so that there was some airflow.
There was a little snow here and there, but mostly clear. Jay had said that morning it was typical spring, somewhere in the middle of everything. The group was doing hose drills when your partner lost control of the spiralled hose. It slipped out of her hands and down the driveway. You all laughed and you went to grab it. Your partner had mixed up the couplings, meaning you could easily do a shoulder roll as you gathered up the hose. Kidd cheered on your technique, explaining what you were doing as you went. You held one arm around the hose and jogged back towards the group. As you headed back, you hit black ice. You felt yourself falling face first and threw your unoccupied arm out to stop your fall. When your palm hit the ground, your wrist buckled and you could almost feel the break.
You dropped the hose, immediately snatching your wrist to your chest and letting out a string of hushed curses.
Kidd came jogging over, "You good?"
You groaned, "Peachy," you gave her a thumbs up with your good hand.
Kidd chuckled, she offered you a hand up. You let her pull you up, groaning with the jolt in your wrist.
"Let me take a look," Kidd offered, she gently rolled up the sleeve on the turnout coak and looked at your wrist. It had swollen up to twice its size and turned bruised.
You screwed up your face, "Just my luck."
"I think you broke it," Kidd chuckled, amused by how irritated you looked. "Might have to get you to med,"
She walked you back towards the Firehouse, now more careful of the ground. When you got inside, Brett and Violet were waiting with Boden and Kelly. Boden gave permission for Violet and Brett to take you to Med, seeming it was easier than calling your brother. Violet and Kidd helped you out of the turnout gear then jumped into the back of the ambulance with you.
As you were pulling out onto the street, Kidd asked if you had your phone.
"Crap," you cursed, patting your pockets, "I left it in my bag at the station."
Violet laughed, "Worrying about breaking your phone but not your wrist?"
Kidd laughed, "I'll call kelly."
Tumblr media
Jay answered his phone on the second ring, "Halstead."
"Hey Jay," Kelly spoke from the other end, "Kidd asked me to call you-"
"Is everything okay?" Jay interupted.
"Uh-" Kelly hesitated, the silence allowed Jay to hear the blearing of the dispatch bells through the phone, "Kidd, Sylvie and Violet took Y/N to Med- look, I gotta go, I'm sorry. Kidd will meet you at med." Kelly rushed through his words, hanging up so that he could respond to the call.
Jay slowly put down his phone, a frown. If you were hurt you would have called him, but why would Kidd be taking you to Med if you weren't hurt?
"Who was that?" Kevin asked as he walked past Jay's desk.
"Kelly Severiade," Jay responded, "He said Y/N's been taken to med."
"What?" Hailey quickly walked over, "Why?"
"He didn't say," Jay came to his senses, grabbing his keys and phone, "Just that Kidd was taking her to Med with Sylvie and Violet."
Voight caught the tail end of the conversation, urging the team to pack up so they could all go to Med for support. He could tell from the look on everyone's faces how they were all quietly worried.
Jay had to hold back the urge to flick on the lights and sirens. and speed across town to Med.
Tumblr media
Will could hardly control his laugh when he watched you walk into Med, cradling your arm.
"Laugh it up, William," You scolded, letting him help you onto the bed in an exam room.
"I will," He chuckled, gesturing for you to give him your arm so he could look at it.
You pouted, "Can't I have a decent doctor?"
Will rolled his eyes dramatically.
"I doubt you'll find one here," Maggie said as she walked in, coming to stand at your good side with a hand on her hip, "What have you done to yourself?"
You grinned sheepishly, unable to find the words.
Kidd came to your rescue from the doorway, explaining how you managed to wipe out and land on your wrist. And then going on to explain how you left your phone in your bag so you couldn't call Will or Jay before.
"Let's get an X-ray for that wrist then," Will said, watching Maggie type it into her tablet, "It's probably broken so we'll put a call into ortho to get it casted."
Maggie nodded along, putting her tablet away and propping your wrist on a pillow and placing an ice pack over it.
"Ortho is backed up, it might be awhile before they get down here."
"You can use that time to think of what colour cast you want," Will said with a playful grin. He let you know that he would have to check on a few different patients but he would be back to see the X-rays and check on you later.
Kidd took a seat next to you, smiling and asking how you felt.
"Like an idiot," You replied, "You always warn us to be careful and I had to go breaking my arm."
Kidd laughed, "Hey, at least you got us out of the firehouse for a bit."
You smiled, watching Sylvie and Violet come over to the door after stocking up the ambo and making a hot coco trip.
Sylvie put a cup on the tray next to you, "Hot coco for you."
"Thanks," You replied, cradling it with your good hand.
Violet jokingly ruffled your hair, "Anything for our favourite patient."
You laughed, bidding your goodbyes after they said that they had to leave for the firehouse. Kidd asked you to keep her updated and even if you couldn't do girls on fire, you should still come along. You said you would, you could stand on the sidelines and cheer like her and Kylie.
You were left alone for a little while before Will finally returned with the X Ray tech.
Will showed you the Xray on the screen, "Well it's definitely broken."
"Oh thanks, doc," You scowled, "I couldn't tell."
Will laughed, taking a seat and leaning on the bed while you spoke with the Ortho resident. The resident offered you your pick of four colours and you had made Will choose because you couldn't. Will had immediately chosen Black and you scoffed, 'No way.'
You almost hit the roof when Jay came running into the room. He looked terrified and completely out of breath. He stood staring at you and Will for a moment, then the rest of Intelligence came barreling in after him.
"Hello," You said slowly, confused why they were all there.
"Kelly called," Jay said.
"I forgot my phone at the firehouse, Kidd didn't have your number," You said sheepishly.
Jay let out a sigh, "I thought you were seriously hurt."
Will was laughing quietly, "Why didn't you call me?"
Jay frowned, "I tried," He argued, "You didn't pick up."
Wills smile fell, "oh,"
You burst out laughing, "Wow, one job big brother."
Jay turned back to his team, telling them they could go seeming you clearly weren't about to die. He came around the bed and took a seat at the end.
He gestured to your arm which was now cast in bright yellow, "What happened?"
You waved your casted wrist around, "Broke my wrist."
Jay shook his head in disbelief, "How did you manage that?"
"I slipped on black ice," You shrugged.
Jay looked a little disappointed, "Of course you did."
"What is that supposed to mean?"
Will smiled, "He only means you aren't always the most sure footed."
You faked being offended, "Are you calling me a clutz?"
"Yes," Both your brothers replied.
Will and Jay laughed as you crossed your arms and sunk into the bed with a pout, "Thanks a lot."

SMOOOOCHES!!! hello sweetheart!! ໒꒰ྀིᵔ ᵕ ᵔ ꒱ྀི১
I hope you’ve been well since the last time I came on here!! (little update on my test results: everything came back clean except a few things came back indecisive but nothing to worry about! Chronic illness doesn’t seem to be getting any worse as of right now.) but asides from that here’s a little drabble as I was re-reading a few of my earlier drabbles from last year!
We know fragile!reader despises examinations and having to endure the painful injections every few weeks when Dottore batches up a new medicine. However, what if it backfires completely? Causing fragile!reader to be in an even weaker condition, barely able to move and clinging onto Dottore as tightly as they can. Perhaps running a fever, feeling miserable as they feel as if though their whole body is being pricked by thousands of needles as they shake from their fever. Dottore would try his best to not let his emotions show, but deep down he’s panicking and trying to figure out how he can cancel out the current “medicine” running through their body. To say Dottore feels guilt is an understatement, he knows that any medicine that they take can easily backfire quickly, but he never would’ve thought the symptoms would be so severe. :( once their condition stabilizes I like to think Dottore keeps them close for at least a few days, just to make sure everything is fine. Even if it means they’ll be all clingy to him, he’d rather they be safe and alive rather than induced in a coma once again.
A bit of fluff: I like to think Zandy definitely also tries to cheer you up after the whole ordeal. He’s not sure why you weren’t visiting or reading books to him anymore, other than that “you were busy with Dottore”, is what you had told him. But even the little baby knows you look more weaker (even if it’s been a few days, your condition had still worsened anyways). So perhaps he tries to draw you adorable silly drawings, and also show you his “safe” experiments. (Lest he get a scolding from Zandik or the clones again…)
‘m giving you so many chu chus n cuddles like always smooches hehe gonna make your cheeks all rosy pinky! <33 I hope you have a lovely day n spend it with a smile like always!
-from your dear boo boo bear 🎐 anon! ౨ৎ
HELLO MY DEAR 🎐 ANON!! Ahh I'm so glad your results were okay! I'm so happy for you and for getting through all of this! *hugs you* And I LOVE this brainrot! ❤️ I've always brainrotted about this idea hehe because angst of Dottore failing... teehee.
Dottore, being the skilled scholar he is, never fails to concoct new medications and treatments for you in hopes of creating something that sticks, along with the actual cure. These meds always go through a few rounds of testing, on his experiments of course (as you said before) but sometimes there is only so little that can be done. After all, your body is very different from the average person's. So, there have been times when the things he's given you didn't agree with your body very well, but they were never anything drastic. However, that was until this instance.
Dottore is a confident man. He's smart, he plans ten steps ahead, and things always go exactly as he orchestrated or predicted them to. So that's why he expected nothing different to be with this batch, maybe you'd have a few minor side effects that he'd note and so on, but he expected you to be fine, to then whine about how all of this was so much work, and he'd only hum at your complains to which you'd pout at. In the beginning, you seemed fine. Looked fine, your vitals were fine. But in a matter of minutes, when you got off the operating table, all of that changed, as dizziness and blurriness.
You tried to wave off Dottore's concern, observing your worsened state immediately, but your resistance was futile as your knees buckled, though your husband caught you before you could fall. Your skin was on fire, sapping away your strength as you couldn't even bring your hand up to stop your hacking and coughing. You try to speak but everything hurts far too much for you to muster your words, and you can barely process the muffled voices, footsteps against the floor, and hands running over your body (he must have called a few segments in too.) You pass out soon after, unable to see the blank look on Dottore's face, how his hands don't shake, how he is unfaltering and flawless in his steady work to counteract what he put in his body. Unable to see what only you can see - what he's really feeling underneath everything.
You don't wake up until a few days later, to which Dottore spent trying to figure out where he went wrong constructing this medication. If only he had been more careful, if he had run more tests, perhaps this may not have happened. Perhaps he wouldn't be the cause of your even weaker state. But even when you wake up, you just smile at him, assuring him that you're okay. You'd never blame him. Even though this was all this fault. He despises it sometimes, how you're so kind and forgiving. It's a weakness.
Sure, Dottore has a lot of work to be done, and having you around so much serves as a distraction to his work... but he'll let it slide. Just for a bit. At least it is a reminder to him that you're not permanently sleeping again.
Zandy, despite being left out of the loop many times, mostly due to your insistence that he not be burdened with your own troubles, can still sense something is wrong after a while. Yes, he's a child, but he's a rather smart one. And a very attentive one when it comes to his favorite person, you. He can see how much time you spend for "check-ups" with the segments and Prime now, far more than what it used to be... how you always look exhausted but force yourself to perk up and smile around him, assuring him you'll play with him "next time", even though numerous "next times" have passed. Zandy doesn't know the exact details, but that's okay, he can see what you're going through. So obviously he's going to try and make you smile! In the time he's not with you, he spends it doing all the things you like to do too. Drawing you two together of course, in a happy little house in Sumeru where the two of you play outside together all day with no worries! Maybe he even tried baking by himself to surprise you with something yummy (quickly stopped by a segment before he hurt himself or perhaps blew up the lab.) Maybe the child should take up sewing... maybe he can sew a little Puffttore squish ball for you! Oh, but you always told him to stay away from needles... well, it's okay if you don't find out until after the fact, right?

Pen's Song-Story Writing Challenge Extravaganza Submission!
@alilbatwrites your song was "The Law" by Reach, here is a snippet based on that!!
When Hero got back to the league from saving the city, they had expected celebration, or at least a thank-you. What they got instead was… eye-opening to say the least. They opened the doors to a bunch of stone-faced, enhanced superiors.
“Uh…what?” Hero asked, confused, “did I cause collateral damage again? I thought I was careful this time!”
“It isn’t that, Hero,” Superhero started.
“You took Supervillain down in under two minutes,” another super stated.
“You say that like it’s a bad thing,” Hero joked.
When they received no response, Hero faltered.
“It…it’s not a bad thing, right?”
“Hero, you know our League is here to keep the nation’s peace,” Superhero said, “and to eliminate security risks.”
“Well, yeah, I’d day I did pretty good out there,” Hero said, “so why do you all seem upset?”
The sound of footsteps behind them made Hero’s head turn. Two league agents put a hand on each of Hero’s shoulders.
“Superhero,” Hero asked nervously, turning back to face their superior, “what’s going on?”
“We took a risk letting you roam free with your powers of energy manipulation,” Superhero said, “your abilities have grown to an incredible strength, and now the risks outweigh the benefits. I’m sorry, Hero.”
As Superhero spoke, one of the agents jammed the end of a needle into Hero’s neck. Hero cried out in pain, feeling ice flood their veins.
“So that’s it- you’re just going to get rid of me because I’m too good at my job!?” Hero asked desperately, feeling their limbs turn to lead.
“Your powers will only increase exponentially from here,” another league member said, “if we don’t contain you now, we’ll never be able to stop you if you become a threat.”
Hero tried to wrench themselves from the agents’ grips, but they held them fast. Hero’s knees buckled just as a wheelchair with padded restraints came into view.
“Take them down to Containment Level 3,” Superhero ordered.
“N-no,” Hero slurred.
Hero felt themselves be lifted into the wheelchair. Straps tightened across their body just as their vision began to fade. Their head sank down into their chest as the drug sucked them under.
When Hero awoke next, they thought maybe the events from earlier were just a bad dream. Maybe Supervillain had defeated them, and they would wake up in the med bay with Superhero by their bedside. Hero opened their eyes to a stark white room. They looked down at their form and found that they had been stuffed in some kind of straight-jacket suit, the buckles going all the way down to their ankles. Hero jerked upright, trying and failing to free themselves. They tried to call on their power, but their movements were sluggish, and their energy barely materialized.
Hero fought back the tears that brimmed in their eyes. They had figured if they ever did get captured, it would be by some criminal, never by their own team, the people they fought beside every day. Now their team- their family- had them drugged up and restrained in a cell just like those criminals they had been taught to fight. When they couldn’t fight them any longer, Hero let the tears fall with a choked sob.
“Hey,” a voice echoed.
Hero looked up, sniffling. The door opened, revealing a league agent.
“What do you want?” Hero asked bitterly.
“Seriously?” the league member demanded indignantly, “I come all this way to save you and-oh. Right. The outfit.”
The league member unbuttoned their uniform to reveal a familiar, dark suit underneath.
“Villain?” Hero asked in disbelief.
“Duh,” Villain said, “saw what you did out there with Supervillain. That was pret-ty impressive. But I knew your precious league wouldn’t like it. So here I am.”
Hero remembered the stories Superhero had told them about Villain, how they had abandoned the league years ago. They remembered the late-night, rooftop conversations with Villain, about how the league wasn’t what they seemed.
“Are you going to say, ‘I told you so’?” Hero asked dejectedly.
“Nah, you’ve been punished enough,” Villain said, “come on, let’s get you out of here.”
Villain worked to free Hero from their restraints. They pulled out a syringe filled with liquid.
“This is gonna counteract the junk they’ve pumped in your system,” Villain said, “the car’s outside waiting. We can be out of the city limits in an hour… unless you’d like to torch this place first?”
Hero shook their head, holding their arm out for Villain to administer the antidote.
“I just wanna go,” Hero said.
“I gotcha,” Villain said, helping them up, “leave the torching to me then.”
Villain drove off, Hero in the passenger seat, the league base ablaze behind them.

Damian Priest Imagine
TW: Damian Priest X Shy! Wrestler! Reader, reader is POC (black), reader has anxiety, legal age-gap between reader and Damian, platonic! Rhea X reader
Y/N paced back and forth as she waited for her music to hit. She had a promo with Rhea Ripley and although they rehearsed it, she had stage fright. Rhea was already in the ring, talking a big game about how everyone was below her since no one had beater her for her belt. Y/N's music hit and she shook away her jitters before grabbing a mic and sauntering onto the ramp. "You're only at the top because you're hound dogs always protect you." Y/N cut off the raven hair woman. She climbed mat and stepped under the second rope. "With or without them, I can still beat your ass, Y/N." Rhea chuckled. "So why you duckin' my fade, mami?" Y/N asked as she smirked but the words came out shaky; she just hoped the fans didn't pick up on it.
"If you couldn't handle a simple interview, what makes you think you can beat me for MY title?" Rhea got in Y/N's face, albeit, she had to crane her neck to Y/N's short height. Rhea picked up on her shortened breaths and hoped being close to the girl calmed her a bit.
"Cause unlike y-you, I won't need back up when I'm whoopin' that ass!"
Y/N dropped the mic and threw the first punch; that was supposed to stun her opponent and knock her off her feet but the most it did was make her stumble two feet. Rhea tried to sell the move as best as she could by sliding down the buckles and rolling out the ring. Y/N climbed the buckles and struck her pose. She quickly got out of the ring and tried to get up the ramp whilst holding in tears knowing she fucked up the spot. Fans were cheering for her and tapping her as she passed, even holding out their phones for pictures.
The water works started before she could even leave the ramp but she had to turn and hit her final mark. Y/N wiped her eyes quickly and turned to face the crowd before scurrying backstage.
/////
Rhea had went on a search for her friend to see what had went wrong but nobody had seen Y/N since the promo. Damian was supposed to be on his way to the hotel earlier that night but after seeing the prom, he too was looking for the younger girl. "Randy, have you seen Y/N?!" Damian asked as he spotted the fellow wrestler coming up the hallway. "I think she was headed to medics--"
Damian and Rhea reached medics at the same time where they found Y/N huddled up on a gurney, struggling to breathe. Adam Pearce was beside her trying his best to calm her down but that just seemed to be making it worst. Y/N had been stressed out for the past few weeks dealing with training, back to back shows and personal issues pertaining to her family. It was a miracle that she had lasted that long without an anxiety/ panic attack. "C'mon bunny, ya gotta breathe. Follow my breathing." Y/N quickly clung to Damian as the loudest sob echoed through her tiny body.
"I f-fucked up b-bad."
She could barely get out her words.
"Nobody is mad at you, hon."
Rhea tried to console the girl.
The young girl was wheezing, grasping at her chest and throat. The medic finally came with a dose of meds to sedate the girl.
"Mi amor. I'm so sorry I wasn't there earlier." Damian kissed his girl's head and laid her on the gurney as she mellowed out. "What happened out there, Rhea?" Adam asked. He was fond of the girl; although she was a shy one, she brought light to everyone's day. He needed to know what triggered her.
"She was antsy before the promo, she did okay with it up until the spot... I saw her start to break."
Damian swiped her braids out of her face and ran his hand across her cheeks as if to let her know he was still there. "She mentioned something about family issues the other day." Dominik popped up. Damian muttered a quiet "Fuck."
"Take her back to the hotel; if she isn't better by Wednesday, I'm gonna pull her from the house show and from next week." Adam stated as he began to pace back and forth. "I need to be here for Rhea." Y/N slurred. "Bunny, you need to rest; the match will be here when you get back." Damian picked her up and left the room. He took her back to the hotel and got her cleaned up before tucking her in.
That was an abrupt ending... yikes. I might rewrite it later.

dirty laundry, pt. 1
Tumblr media
a/n: i wrote this when i was feeling incredibly low. it's based on something that happened to me. the title is from all time low. might have a part 2.
before you read this, be aware that this particular piece deals with the after effects of trauma (rape). it doesn't deal with it right after the incident but it shows how even after over a decade it can still affect someone.
before we proceed further: this is your warning that description of sexual assault on a minor will happen. this is based on truth as well as being a work of fan fiction.
i fought so hard with myself to even post this but was encouraged by @remedyx. if you don't want to read it, please by all means don't. but if you do, please be kind.
if something similar has happened to you, please reach out to me if you feel like you need to talk. i love you, you are worthy.
pairing: noah sebastian x reader
genre: angst, hurt/comfort
warnings: talk of past sexual assault, trauma talk, depictions of depressive episode
word count: 2,585
summary: after seeing something triggering online, y/n is struggling. noah learns some deep secrets of his friend and tries to help.
part two part three part four
she’s got her secrets/yeah, i’ve got mine too
meeting friends when you’re adults means you have to understand that you will not know everything about them as easily as if you were kids. it was something that rang true for everyone.
noah understood this and was ready and willing for his friends to have secrets from him. pasts that didn’t want or need to be explained. all that mattered to him was that they were there here and now.
that is until one day when his friend messaged a group chat that consisted of him, andy biersack, and his other friend, scarlett. scarlett messaged them saying that their other friend, one they had planned a birthday party for in this very group chat, was having a very hard time.
that wasn’t new, she had been having a rough go of it off and on for a couple of months. something to do with her meds and the pharmacy being out-of-stock, something that confused the hell out of noah. but something about this time felt different.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
noah abruptly stood up, startling his friends that he was with. in his worry and being glued to his phone for the last however many minutes, he had almost forgotten where he was.
“you good, man?” nick asked.
“yeah, i just gotta go do something for a friend.”
“is it y/n?” jolly teased.
“as a matter of fact, yes,” noah said while gathering his things. he waved to his friends, promising to meet up with them again soon, and took off out of the house.
he barely buckled his seatbelt before taking off in his car toward scarlett and y/n’s house. in his relatively short drive, his brain was swirling with possibilities of what was wrong. why had scarlett threatened men specifically? (this time anyway) could he still pick a lock? (probably) what if y/n didn’t want to see them? (she usually did but what if this time was different?) what could he do specifically to make her feel better? (maybe ice cream - she likes ice cream) could he get her to open up and spill this obviously heartbreaking secret to him? (he sure hopes so, but is he prepared for the aftermath?)
he barely registered that he had pulled into the driveway beside andy’s car because it was such an autopilot response to go to their house at this point. he locked his car and walked up to the front door. he didn’t even bother knocking as he entered and was met by the smell of pizza baking in the oven.
“great! everyone’s here!” scarlett said loud enough to be heard throughout the house - obviously trying to get y/n’s attention.
“is she still in there?” noah asked, slipping his shoes off at the door.
“only came out to get water right before we got here,” juliet said, casting a glance down the hall.
“door may be unlocked now though,” scarlett said thoughtfully. “maybe i’ll go peek my head in.”
“i’ll do it,” noah offered, quickly. too quickly if the smirks on his friends’ faces was any indication. he shook his head as he walked down the hall toward y/n’s room.
he knocked softly and listened closely. “i’m fine,” a quiet voice sounded through the wood, followed by a sniffle.
“you don’t sound fine, doll,” he said as he leaned his forehead against the door. “can i come in? please?”
“it’s unlocked.”
when he entered her room, his heart shattered. the ever-present blue twinkle lights she had strung around her room had been shut off, along with any mention of light from anywhere else, except her phone screen. she had her comforter pulled up to her ear with her back facing him.
he shut the door softly behind him and padded across to the bed. he climbed under the covers and wrapped his arms around her, pulling her tight to him. he felt her stiffen at the contact but not pull away, instead leaning into him once she calmed.
he knew this had to be crossing some sort of imaginary line he’d set for himself but he couldn’t help himself. his friend, honestly probably his best friend, was hurting and that trumped any romantic feelings he has for her.
“when did you get here?” she asked, sniffling again.
“just now. needed to know you were at least physically okay. what happened? i thought you got your meds worked out?” he asked, softly.
“i did. it’s not that. i wish it were that because then i don’t feel like i’ve failed.”
“babe, whatever it is, you haven’t failed anything.”
“yes, i have. i thought i’d worked through it and then i see one thing online and suddenly my brain throws away over a decade of work,” her hand moves to wipe newly fallen tears.
“do you want to talk about it?” he asks, realizing it may be a feeble attempt.
“no. but i should,” she sighs before turning around to face him. “i just don’t want you to think differently of me.”
he keeps his arms firmly around her and chances a kiss to the top of her head. “y/n, i think the world of you and nothing is gonna change that.”
“promise?” he could feel his t-shirt dampen with tears.
he pulled away just enough so he could look her in her eyes. eyes that held a pain he never knew was there. he feels a sense of rage bubble up in him at whoever caused this precious human this amount of pain. “promise.”
she took a steadying breath and began to sit up. they sat side-by-side, backs against the headboard, his legs spread in front of him and hers pulled up to her chest, protecting herself.
“when i was 15, i was in a really bad place. i was undiagnosed, unmedicated, and wanting love. so i took what i could get from whoever i could get it from. i wasn’t promiscuous or anything, in fact i’ve never had sex. i just wanted someone to love me because i couldn’t love myself.
i dated this guy who was all kinds of wrong but i thought i was in love. he kept breaking my heart so one day when we were broken up, i decided to invite his friend over to hang out. i thought he was cute and we made out and stuff but that was as far as i wanted it to go,” she took a breath and a drink of water as tears filled her eyes again.
he knew where this was going and he felt himself getting even more angry but he let her keep going.
“i tried to keep him off me, i really did. he was pulling my shorts so hard and i was trying to keep them on, i thought my nails would break. i kept crying and saying no over and over. but it was like it didn’t matter. like he didn’t hear me. but i know he did because when he stopped, he called me a tease and wiped his hand on a stuffed animal that was near the bed.”
he wanted so badly to hold her and tell her he’d never let that happen to her again, but he held himself back not wanting to make things worse.
she cleared her throat after a moment of pause. “anyway, i was working through it on my own for years and didn’t tell anyone until like a year later. and then when i got in therapy we worked on it for a bit and i thought i had gotten better. but i was scrolling through tumblr and came across this story that was non-con, non-consensual, and it just fucking broke me.
i don’t normally kinkshame or tell people what they shouldn’t do because that’s their business but i’ll never understand non-consensual, rape fantasies. there’s absolutely nothing to fantasize about. it’s humiliating. it’s painful. physically, mentally, and emotionally. it makes you feel like you’ll never be clean again and that you’re not worthy of even the smallest of respect or love.
noah, i worked so hard to make myself believe that i’m not dirty or broken and that i am worthy. i worked so hard and it was just stripped away from me again like it was nothing.”
“i know you did. you always work hard. and let me tell you something,” he moved so he was right in front of her on his knees. he lifted her chin so she looked at him. “you are so worthy. you’re the worthiest person i know. you deserve the world and he doesn’t even deserve a grave. you’re not broken or dirty, you’re strong and beautiful. and i am so lucky to have you in my life, you know that, right? and now you don’t have to work as hard because you won’t be doing it by yourself.”
“promise?” her voice was small.
“i promise,” he confirmed.
she basically launched herself at him with a sob and wrapped her arms around him. he pulled her into his lap and held her. oh how he had imagined this moment, but she was not crying in his imagination.
“will you stay with me?” she asked into his chest.
“always,” he kissed the top of her head.
after some time, she stopped shaking from crying and relaxed in his arms.
“let’s get you some food,” he said.
“ice cream?”
“absolutely,” he chuckled. “but i think scarlett made pizza if you want some of that first. if there’s any left, andy and juliet are here too.”
“i might could do that, then ice cream,” she decided, pulling away from him.
“deal,” he stood up from the bed, taking her with him. after setting her down on her feet, he grabbed her hand - just to make sure she knew he was staying by her side, and they walked toward the kitchen.
“hey, sunshine,” andy said as they emerged from the darkened hallway.
“hey, sorry,” she said as she wrapped an arm around him and then juliet, still holding noah’s hand.
“you don’t have to apologize,” juliet said, as she smoothed the other woman’s hair. “you’re allowed to have people worry about you.”
“we’re more than happy to be those people for you,” andy backed her up.
y/n gave them a small smile and eyed the pizza.
“here’s your gross ass pizza, my love,” scarlett said, handing her a plate with a piece of her favorite pizza on it.
“you’re the best roommate a girl could have,” she said, sitting at the bar by andy, noah sitting on her other side.
“yeah, yeah,” scarlett said, intently watching as y/n took a bite of her pizza.
conversation buzzed around them as she finished her slice, she only wanted one right now - her main focus on the ice cream in her future. noah participated in the conversation on the outside but on the inside he was replaying her story over and over in his head like a movie on loop. he was angry for her. he had questions. but he wasn’t sure when was the right time to ask - though he knew not right now in front of everyone.
he must have zoned out because when he came too he was met with the expectant eyes of y/n.
“sorry, what?”
“ice cream?”
“of course,” he replied, rising from his spot at the bar.
“let me go change real quick,” she said, putting her hand on his arm.
“for why?”
“i’m in pajamas?” she motioned to her shorts and oversized t-shirt. a shirt that he just realized belonged to him at one point.
“we don’t have to get out of the car,” he said, standing up fully. “you look fine.” he didn’t miss the look that andy, juliet, and scarlett passed between them.
“you don’t let people eat in your car,” she trailed off.
he leaned down to look her in the eye, “consider yourself special, then. let’s go.”
before he turned around he caught a glimpse of a blush creep on her face and felt a sense of pride. he didn’t catch the way she looked at scarlett with wide eyes, or the way juliet motioned for her to move. andy was grinning at the whole scene.
she got up and slipped on a pair of sandals that were near the door and followed noah out the door and toward his car. he opened the passenger door for her. “well, thank you kind sir,” she said before sliding into the seat.
he chuckled as he shut the door and jogged around to the driver’s side. once he was buckled and started toward her favorite ice cream place, he chanced a look at y/n as she looked out the window.
“hey,” he said softly. “you okay?”
“i will be,” she answered. “it’s just a lot to process.”
“i can imagine. can i ask you something?”
“of course.”
“when you were telling me what happened, you said that you’d never had sex before it happened?”
“yeah. so my first and only experience with sex was that. which is why i always get weird when you guys start talking about it,” she explained.
“i’d always wondered. wait. did you say your only experience?” he was baffled.
“yeah,” she answered, finally fully looking at him.
“that honestly explains so much. and also i’m so sorry that your experience was that.”
“you don’t have to apologize. it happened. it sucks. it sucks a lot. and sometimes i feel like i’m missing out on a whole world. but most of the time i’m fine.”
“don’t do that,” he scolded.
“do what?”
“minimize your trauma to make you seem more palatable. it’s not helpful. it’s not cute.”
she went quiet and looked away, back out the window.
he kicked himself. that came out a lot harsher than he meant. he pulled into a parking spot at the ice cream place and told her to sit tight while he went to get the ice cream. she didn’t argue.
“y/n,” he said when he slid back into his seat, ice cream in hand.
she was surprised to see he got exactly what she wanted, not that she deviated from what she liked all that often. she just wasn’t aware of how much he paid attention to her.
“i didn’t-” he started. “i didn’t mean for that to come out that way. i just meant that i don’t want you to minimize with me. you’re allowed to feel however you feel.”
“i know. i just guess i didn’t realize that’s what i was doing.”
“you do it all the time, doll. i just never knew why and i think i get it now.”
she smiled softly. “how did you know which ice cream i wanted?” she knew the change in subject wouldn’t go unnoticed but hoped he would catch on that she didn’t want to talk about it anymore for the time being.
he pulled out his phone and went to the notes app. “i keep track of your favorites.”
she blushed. “why?”
“haven’t caught on yet?” he smirked at her.
“caught on to what?”
“i’m practically at your beck and call. i let you and no one else eat in my car. i apparently let you wear my clothes,” he gestured to the t-shirt she was wearing.
“noah, i don’t understand.”
“how can someone be so smart and so blind at the same time? i’m basically in love with you, dummy.”

46 + 67 for the trope mashup please? 💖
Is there anything more ooey gooey than a sick fic?
46 Sick!Fic/Injury + 67 Casual Intimacy/Physical Comfort
“You didn’t get enough milk as a kid,” Mickey pointed it out. “Your sister always watered that shit down.”
“Is that right, Mickey Milk?” Ian asked teasingly through the pain meds as the nurse wrapped his arm up in the hardening cast.
Mickey nodded with his eyebrows raised and his lower lip pinched with two front teeth. Ian was just glad he was back to teasing, he’d been a nervous wreck from the second Ian had cried out in pain, and nearly fainted at the sight of bone where it was sticking out from under Ian’s skin.
Ian learned a long time ago that Mickey could go a little batshit when it came to protecting his nest, and Ian was a very big part of his nest. He’d already talked to Mickey about not being a total fucking dick to the nurses, because his husband was an asshole and Ian had to have surgery to reset his arm so naturally Mickey was a bit well, high strung.
“Why’d you have to break your right arm, man?” Mickey whined once they got back to the truck, annoyance not shown in the gentle way he was buckling the seat belt around Ian’s sling. “I’m going to be wiping your ass for weeks.”
“You’re not going to be wiping my ass,” Ian said indignantly. “I mean, I’ll need a little help-”
“Ian, I’m joking obviously. That’s the whole point of having a husband, when I become a demented fuck from all the headshots I’ve taken over the years you’ll be there to remind me who the hell I am. We do need to stop by to show Franny that you’re alive because she’s flipping her shit right now, she thinks it’s her fault.”
Ian sighed but agreed, stopping by the house for a couple of minutes so that Franny could see that he was mostly completely fine.
It fucking hurt, his arm really fucking hurt and he didn’t want to keep taking the pain meds. Thirty somethings don’t usually break their arms climbing trees so the world isn’t really built around accommodating him, luckily his husband is a beast with bark and bite and extreme care.
His sixth sense when it came to Ian was almost creepy sometimes. After the first week, Ian stopped gloating over the royal treatment Mickey needed to give him. It was funny at first, but he was soon slightly annoyed and embarrassed about being washed, fed, and dressed because all he had was his stupid, useless left hand.
And he felt like he was all stupid, unless left hand. So he didn’t want to let on when his arm was killing him, or when he was getting annoyed by the coddling, and yet somehow Mickey knew. He’d sling an arm around Ian while they were watching movies and dig his thumb into the joint between his shoulder and arm, saying nothing until the tension dissipated. Then he’d get up and claim to be in desperate need for peanut M&Ms, leaving Ian alone in the apartment for a few minutes while he ran to the corner store.
By the time he got back, all the frustration and humiliation of the day seemed to have melted away and they could try to throw candy into each other mouths from opposite ends of the couch.
The day Ian got the cast off was as massive relief, they were both so excited for Ian to be able to use his fucking hands again, Mickey watched excitedly as they took the saw to his disgusting off white cast, even leaning in and letting out an theatrical eww at the sight of his dirty, shriveled limb.
That night when they got home Ian announced that he was overdo for a shower, stripping down and staring expectantly at Mickey.
Mickey raised his eyebrows, staring back at his husband.
“Aren’t you coming?” Ian asked curiously.
“I thought you’d want to maybe, I don’t know, wash your own hair since you’re been bitching for the last week.”
“Well,” Ian said slightly huffy. “I liked it when you washed my hair, maybe I just wanted the option to do it myself.”
Mickey shook his head with an indulgent smile, stripping his shirt off and throwing it playfully at his husbands face on his way to the bathroom.
Hope you enjoyed :)

Authors note: Hey guys! I haven’t been doing too great lately, not have I had a lot of time to write, so here’s a fic I wrote a while ago. I needed some comfort this evening. Love you guys!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
What was suppose to be an easy morning turned to a trip to Med. Jay noticed how off you were this morning and went to check on you in the kitchen only to find you leaned against the counter, hands braced on the counter and head bent down. Jay quickly moved toward you, grabbing your hips. “Baby? What’s wrong?” He asked, moving to the side a bit to see your face a bit better. You were pale.
“Dizzy.” You whispered, leaning into Jay slightly.
Jay sighed, putting an arm around your chest and pulling you further into him. “I’m gonna pick you up, okay?” Jay warned, knowing you didn’t like being caught off guard.
You nodded in reply, reaching up to put your arms around his neck. You closed your eyes, the movement making stars dance across your vision.
Jay moved quickly through the kitchen and into the living room, settling you into the couch cushions. Jay knelt down in front of you, gently guiding your head between your knees. “I’m gonna call Will, but I really think we should go to med.” Jay stated, rubbing your back gently. When you nodded, Jay grew even more concerned. You never went willingly. “Scratch just calling Will. Let me get my shoes on, my stuff, your purse, and start the truck. I’ll be right back. Just lean back and breathe sweetheart.” Jay cooed, pushing you up and back into the cushions in fear of you passing out while he was gone. You went willingly, allowing Jay to manhandle you as you focused on staying awake.
You listened as Jay ran around grabbing everything. The safe beeped as Jay grabbed his gun and both of your badges, then slammed shut as he moved on to his next task. Drawers opened and shut and his keys jingled in his hand. The front door creaked open, but it didn’t slam shut as Jay was afraid to close it and not hear you if you called out. You heard his truck start and his footsteps as he stepped back into the house, phone to his ear.
“Yeah. Have Maggie get a room open. I’m inbound with her. Lights and sirens so it’ll be 5 minutes.” Jay muttered into the phone. “And Will, I want Nat and April on this. You got me?” Jay instructed, coming and slipping on your shoes and helping you into a jacket. “Thanks man.” Jay finished, hanging up the phone. He turned his full attention back to you. “Okay princess, Nat and April are waiting. Up you go.” Jay said, pulling you back into his arms. “I’ve got a bucket in the car. Will said you might be feeling sick. I didn’t even think to ask. Just relax though. I’ll get you there in no time.”
Will was right. You were feeling sick. All this movement wasn’t doing your head or stomach any favors. You were already feeling pain in your right flank, but the dizziness brought on the nausea. You kissed Jay’s neck in reply, letting him settle you into the passenger seat, buckle you in, slide your sunglasses on your face, and place a bucket in your lap before he kissed your head and closed the door. Jay ran around to the other side, slightly panicked by how complacent you were being at this moment. You were fiercely independent and always let Jay know.
You slipped a hand toward Jay, reaching for the comfort that only your husband could provide. Jay flipped on the lights and sirens as he backed out, making his way toward med before he grabbed your hand in return, kissing the back of it. You leaned your head back, taking measured breaths and trying to ignore the buildings and cars that flew by. Jay was going fast, though he was being extremely cautious, it didn’t help your situation. The thought of him going slower seemed even less ideal, so you said nothing and let your man drive.
“How you doing over there?” Jay asked, squeezing your hand. He could feel a slight trimmer in your hand and heard your breathing, indicating something was wrong or getting worse.
“How long?” You muttered instead, keeping your eyes shut and head back. You had a white knuckle grip on the bucket and on Jay’s hand.
“3 minutes baby girl. What’s goin on?” Jay asked, pulling your hand up again to kiss it as he pressed on the accelerator a bit firmer.
“Nauseous.” You mumbled, trying not to open your mouth too wide.
Jay nodded, though you couldn’t see him. “Alright. That’s okay baby.” Jay soothed, squeezing your hand again. “Use the bucket if you have to. We’re almost there.” Jay encouraged, rubbing his thumb over the back of your hand.
You squeezed his hand and your eyes shut tighter. Tears were rolling down your face as you tried not to lose it. “‘M scared.” You whispered, taking a shuddering breath as you felt the strong urge to gag. You leaned forward, angling the bucket directly under your mouth.
“Shhhhh. Just a minute hunny. It’s alright.” Jay soothed. “I’m gonna get you help. I’m here. Don’t be scared. I have you.” Jay kept up his encouragements as he drove, almost hitting 90 in a 45, but luckily his lights and sirens kept the road clear for him.
Just as the first heaved ripped through you, the overhead to the ambulance bay came into view. Jay slammed on the brakes, loudly screeching into the bay. Your door was immediately flung open as Will grabbed you and placed you on a gurney, switching your big bucket for a smaller plastic one.
Jay came up next to you, instructing Will to park his truck as he helped steady the basin in your hands. “She’s dizzy and just started gagging. She’s been off for a few days, but it just got really bad. Please help her.” Jay plead with April, who you didn’t even notice appear by your gurney along with Natalie.
You groaned, reaching to clutch Jay’s arm as a heave flew through your body and you vomited into the bin he held for you. Everything was swaying and voices were echoed. You could feel every noise in your ears.
“Hey Y/n, you with me?” Natalie called, taking your wrist in her hand as they rotated your gurney. “She’s not responding. Transfer on my count.”
Jay helped transfer you and stayed to the head of your bed, out of the way, but able to help you hold the bucket. Your eyes were closed and you had a decent grip on his arm. You were still there with him. “She’s got a grip on me. Sometimes she gets ringing in her ears when she has a panic attack. That might have started when she started puking. She’s deathly afraid of it.” Jay told Nat, brushing your hair back.
Natalie nodded, helping April put some leads on you and checking your vitals. “This ever happened before?” She asked Jay, turning to reassess your file now that she’s had a look at you.
Jay shook his head. “Found her pale and dizzy in the kitchen. She’s been acting off all week and I thought she was gonna pass out a couple days ago during an interrogation. I asked but she brushed me off and went about her day.” Jay explained. “She’s been having some issues with her PCOS and right flank pain, but this is new.” Jay said, rubbing your arm once April took the basin away when you finished.
You tried to relax, leaning back against the ED bed while Nat talked with Jay. “Nat? ‘S swaying.” You murmured, gesturing around the room. You clutched Jay tighter and closed your eyes.
Nat nodded, taking your other hand. “Okay sweetie. I’m gonna give you something for motion sickness and see if that helps some.” Natalie said to you, squeezing your hand. “April, I’m gonna need a full blood panel, CT, fast ultrasound, and hang fluids with Dramamine at high flow. Jay, you can stay and you have access anywhere. If you guys need anything, let me know.” Natalie said, typing on her tablet quickly. “Do you want any anxiety meds?” She asked you.
You squeezed Jay’s hand. “No. Not yet.” You whispered.
Natalie looked to Jay, but Jay nodded. You were still coherent. This was your show. He would be there to deal with whatever comes. “Thanks anyways Nat. I’ll let yah know.” Jay said, giving your friend a little smile as she exited.
“Okay Y/n, gotta get a line in.” April said to you before turning to Jay. “Wanna keep her occupied while I set up?” April asked, knowing of your fear of needles, just like Jay’s.
Jay nodded, turning your face to his once he moved to the other side of the gurney. “Hey beautiful.” Jay whispered, kissing your forehead. “Your gonna feel better really soon, I promise. I’ll be with you the whole time. I had Maggie call Voight and the team will be here when they can. Everyone is worried about you.” Jay said, smiling sweetly at you, using his hand to keep your face toward him, successfully blocking your view of April. “When your all better, we can go home and watch some Marvel movies and snuggle, sound good?” Jay asked, just as April was about to place your line in.
Just as you took a breath to reply, April slowly inserted the needle, quickly threading the line. “Fuck.” You mumbled, tears rolling down your face. “Not fair Jay.” You hissed, sticking your tongue out at him.
Jay gave his boyish smirk, leaning down to kiss your forehead. “Hey. You’d do the same to me.” He teased, wiggling his eyebrows at you. The man had a point.
April chuckled, watching the exchange between the husband and wife in front of her. “Alright guys. Just gotta get some blood, then I’ll hang the fluids and meds. Y’all need anything?” April asked, quickly drawing your blood as she spoke.
“Ice chips and maybe another bucket?” You asked, sighing and leaning your head back as you suddenly felt queasy at the sight of your blood leaving your body.
“Jay, grab one of those bags behind you.” April instructed, watching as your face flushed again and paled.
Jay moved quickly, still holding your hand as he reached for the bag and quickly shook it out. You grabbed for the bag when your husband was within reach, but he just tucked it under your chin, using his other hand to push back your fly aways. “Shhhh. Breathe.” Jay whispered, rubbing your forehead with his thumb.
You gagged, holding onto Jay’s arm with the hand April didn’t have held down. You tried to take a steadying breath, but you dry heaved again. You swore you could feel the blood leaving your body.
“Okay Y/n. Just flushing it and then the fluids, okay? You should start to feel better soon.” April spoke over your heaves, making eye contact with Jay across the gurney.
You gave a small thumbs up, giving one final heave before you finally brought up a bit of stomach bile. Finally feeling okay, you leaned back and Jay took the bag, tying it off and throwing it into the garbage before he took the cloth April offered him and wiped your mouth.
“How’s it goin in here?” Will asked, popping up in the doorway to return Jay’s keys.
“Not too good man.” Jay sighed, folding the towel to wipe the sweat off your face. “I’ve never seen her this sick.”
“Well, sister in law of mine, Jay demanded the best. So, since you can’t have me, I gave you second best.” Will joked, trying to lighten the mood and hide his concern. It wasn’t really working.
“Ha ha.” You breathed, smiling slightly at Will. “Heard Jay ask for Nat.” You pointed out, raising your eyebrows with your eyes closed.
Jay let out a small chuckle beside you, causing you to open your eyes. You loved his laugh and loved his smile even more. You looked over to Will, finding the doctor feigning hurt in the doorway. “Rude.” Will muttered, hand on his chest and fake hurt look on his face.
“She speaks the truth.” Jay mumbled, enjoying the light banter in the sea of unknowns that faced you. “But seriously man, thanks for getting her all set up. Means a lot.” Jay said, kissing your forehead again and nodding to his brother.
“Anything for her man.” Will said, nodding toward you. “After all, she’s gotta put up with you. Gotta treat her right so she doesn’t throw you on me again.” Will joked, winking at you as he backed out of the room before Jay could find something to throw at him.
You knew you would be okay. No dizziness or nausea would be able to stay long. The Halstead brothers and everyone in the ED would figure this out and make you better in no time.
