Fake Cryptids, Real Ghosts

Ok, so dp x dc/batfam because this AU has me by the throat but what if it's the fake cryptid batfamily AU who never joined the JL.

Just...imagine it. The Batfamily has been protecting Gotham quietly but fiercely by scaring the daylights out of criminals as creatures that go bump in the night. A bit of stage magic, frightening method acting, contortion, a whole language comprised of chirps, growls, and body language, and the best tech possible and you've got a recipe for striking fear into the hearts of everyone.

They've got shrines on the rooftops, vaguely on the JL radar (Cause really, who's gonna believe that Gotham, one of the worst cities has a demon problem? Constantine? Homeboy took one look at Gotham and went Nope.) and they're protected cause any self respecting Gothamite wouldn't go spilling the beans to Outsiders. The Bats keep them safe. Who would believe them anyways?

Enter half dead, half alive Danny Fenton.

Danny Fenton who has a best friend's named Tucker and Sam who find out about the Gotham Cryptids, and go absolutely ham on research because here lies something,a bunch of someone's who are Other. Maybe they're creepy but they're cool and they're Heroes and they help people.

Sure, at first it was an attempt from Sam and Tucker to help their best friend feel less alone in the face of other, more 'normal' heroes and people out there in the world. Maybe they try to further bury the Bats online cause if anyone understands keeping on the down low, it would be Amity Parker's. For awhile, Danny Fenton, sometimes Phantom is simply happy to know he's not alone.

Then he's outed and his sister who's long since been ecto-contaiminated is put at risk there's nowhere that seems safer. Gotham is a chaotic city, even without the Bats factoring in. After all Gotham has (Demons-Spirits-Creatures?) The Bats already. Who would care if a halfa and his sister hide out there? As long as they're respectful of their territory, it'll be fine right? Besides, they've got to warn the Bats anyways about the GIW and government. They're coming after ghosts, who knows if they'll be next? Spooky things have to look out for each other after all.

Cue shenanigans as Phantom who stops hiding all of his creepier traits as a ghost walks up to the Totally Human but Faking it Batman with really thoughtful gifts for all of their shrines (And one fruitcake), no heartbeat and an earnest plea for a safe haven in their Haunt because the Ancients taught him manners and the importance of respecting another entities territory.

Comics timelines are so funny because whenever I feel like college is taking forever I have to remember Dick Grayson went to university in 1969 and dropped out in 1980 and after all that they claimed he’d only been there for one semester. Well no wonder he dropped out, I would also drop out if one college semester took me a decade.

I got this sudden idea for Cathie that I just wanted to share, as I also feel it's something Jamil would do!

So, since Cater has his ears pierced, I was thinking...

Imagine a single pair of earrings, where Cater wears one on one of his ears, and Ruthie wears the other on one of her ears! ♡

It's a cute way to be matching with your partner, and a small way of keeping them with you wherever you go!

I think Jamil would do this too, as not only is it subtle, but it's also a way for him to show that you are his (even if others may not know it!)

Whenever he sees you, and sees the earring on your ear that matches his, a small smile comes to his face, feeling a sense of pride ♡

And whenever he misses you, he holds the earring between his fingers, subtly rubbing where it sits in his ear. Sometimes he does it without even realizing it ♡

But yeah! I just wanted to share, cause when I got this idea for Cathie, I instantly thought of Jamil and him doing this with Yuusha ♡

i think what's really getting me about kozma claiming to have blown up the moon and also claiming to "be" the breach and basically equating "breach collaborators" and "my allies" in the same speech is that. the breach operative we've known since season one, the person who "is" the breach as far the story's concerned, is saskia. and midst is saskia's HOME! she built the black candle with her own two hands (metaphorically, at the very least), she LOVES it there and she loves those people :( and if we take kozma's story at face value, she just threw the "centerpoint" (according to imelda) of her own operation entirely under the bus and endangered the lives not only of innocent people but also of a bunch of her own operatives without their knowledge just to destabilize the trust and frankly that makes me kind of hope she IS telling the truth simply because that's the kind of betrayal i find absolutely delicious,

Thought of a silly self indulgent au where Four is a hydra :D

He looks hylian but has patches of black iridescent scales (like this) scattered on his body, but theyre hidden by his clothing.

Four was originally hylian but on his second (or third) adventure his sword kinda cursed him. He can still split into the colors, but now he has a third ability where if he’s emotionally distressed he can shift into a giant four headed hydra. Each head represents the colors and can use their respective element (since the Four Sword was infused with the elements)

Vio - controls earth

Green - controls wind

Red and Blue - the flamethrower and hydro canon

Attempted a small doodle of Wind meeting hydra Four just for funsies

(Important lil side note: Four can only change back with The Four Sword, as the Master Sword has no effect on him. The magic keeping Four as a hydra isnt made or shadow or darkness, so Fi has nothing to fix.)

man, I don't know if it's like. residual emotional effects from yesterday, the physical toll it took on my body, hormones or just like. a general sense of malaise. but I just kind of want to lie in bed and cry today.

I just finished a work project, which is generally call for celebration, but I just. every time I try to work on a creative project instead, I feel like everything I make is awful. every time I try to just veg and watch something, I feel like I'm wasting my time. my brain is very... scratchy today, for lack of a better word.

idk, maybe I'm just mentally exhausted. I had to put on kind of a brave and friendly face for most of yesterday, but it was a pretty awful experience. the actual migraine(?) was terrifying, especially because the experience wasn't anything like other migraines I've had, the tests were stressful and painful and I'm having quite a few physical effects today because of them. and no matter how often it happens to me, there's something so specifically demoralizing about paying several hundred dollars to go to the hospital and stay there all day just for them to say "good news! we can't find anything wrong!" like that makes you feel any better at all when something clearly is.

idk how I feel so simultaneously over and underwhelmed today.

#vent post #I'd usually go for a walk to air out my brain but uh #let's just say that my body is very unhappy about some things that happened to it yesterday #plus the overall ache that comes from tensing up for an hour for an MRI #my joints are so fragile today and it's driving me nuts #I had to hold the call button in a weird angle during the MRI and MRA yesterday and my fingers hurt like hell by the end #and this morning they just won't do fucking anything I want #and they had to give me a large dose of zofran because I have bad reactions to MRI contrast #and uhhhhh let's just say that I'm not having a great reaction to that rn either #plus after all those attempts with the IV my arms are one big bruise #I'm whining sorry but today everything feels like a lot #maybe just feeling the things I didn't have space to yesterday idk
