The first thing you feel is the sharp pinch of the needle in your arm. Warmth flooding your body, your face flushed and lips tingling. The sensation spreading to your core and between your legs. Suddenly you feel warm and wet. Your cunt swelling slightly, lips parting... You try to touch yourself, pulling against something, and then…
Your eyes snap open and the bright light temporarily blinds you. Thick leather straps hold you down against the examination table, spread-eagled. Fear and adrenaline prick your skin, your drug-induced warmth now slick with a sheen of cold sweat. The shame of your dripping cunt hits you hard, and you try to tell yourself that it’s not your fault, it’s the drugs. It has to be the drugs…
Your mouth is held wide with a dental gag, jaw already beginning to ache. Your head is kept still with a thick leather strap across your forehead even as you see me cross your field of vision, my face behind a surgical mask, your eyes wide. “Today, I have an experiment…”
Another pinch, and a strong sedative makes your limbs go limp, too weak and heavy to move much, your mind perfectly alert. You feel my fingers spread your labia, pull back your clitoral hood, and the sharp excruciating pain of a needle in your clit, then your labia, the drug making them swell. Your tits are injected next, making them full and heavy as the syringe is emptied. The warmth spreads, combining with the pain, your cunt locked in a deep ache and drooling immediately. You are helpless, swollen, sensitive, and completely overstimulated. A vibrator is pushed against your cunt, shockwaves of sensation flooding your body as you try not to moan. My gloved hand encircles your throat, choking you. My fingers probe your gag reflex, making you drool all over yourself as you begin to see stars. You pass out a few times, slapped awake after each one, oxygen flooding your body and setting every nerve on fire. Each orgasm wrecking your body more than the last, the time between them growing shorter until they are just seconds apart. Forced to cum against your will so much it hurts. A gagging drooling mess. A ruined, helpless thing. Your cunt is swollen and unrecognizable, dripping down the table and onto the floor.
The vibrator is suddenly switched off. I slap your cunt hard and laugh as you scream, convulsing as shockwaves of pain cascade through your core. You groan as the thick electric plug is slid deep inside your anus, stretching you wide as tears spring to your eyes. The electricity makes you whimper, not just from pain, but from forcing your pelvic floor muscles to contract in time to the current. I press the head of my swollen cock against your dripping labia, and sink deep inside your helpless ruined hole. Choking you, slapping you, and spitting on you as I rape you, your restrained body swaying with each deep thrust, vulnerable and spread wide. Gagging you as you make disgusting noises, your face and tits covered in drool. Torturing your grossly swollen nipples, bruising them almost instantly with my fingers as I pinch, pull, and twist them savagely, tearing harsh, violent screams from your throat as the pain sears through your body. Your spasming cunt milks my cock inside you as I rape you. Your own body forced to betray you. Even the autonomy of your own muscles raped away as I force them to pleasure my cock. To splatter your cervix with my cum. And worse, to make you cum as well.
It hurts too much to orgasm now. You’ve been holding it off so long, trying to avoid the sensations from last time. It makes your muscles clench out of sync with the current, doubling up and eventually forcing that wave to crest, your eyes rolling back, legs shaking as you let out a horrible shriek of despair... Then it tears through you, every muscle taut and shaking. Mind going blank, unable to register anything but a horrible emptiness in the pit of your stomach, all stimulation gone. Just an object. A toy. A ruined thing.
When your eyes open, you become dimly aware of my voice. Your cunt is held open with a speculum, my cum still dripping out as you are examined in detail. Your most private, intimate parts helpless, vulnerable, and exposed. Nothing private, nothing secret.
“Indeed. The subject has become deeply suggestible. The formula was substituted for saline with no decline in response...” Saline!? No! It has to be the drugs. It was the drugs! Your mind is breaking as the mirror above you reveals the truth: Your tits and cunt are grossly swollen in the humiliating caricature of a fuckdoll, not injected with some new pharmaceutical, but simple saline solution…
“...more experiments are needed to determine the efficacy of any new formula.” In your turmoil, you suddenly notice the red light of a webcam, stomach churning... How many saw? How many people saw what I did to you?
“We will keep the experiment and continue to perform tests...” And as my first words drift back to you, it suddenly becomes clear: YOU are The Experiment.

fucking dazai against a window
ftm! bottom! Dazai Osamu
Warnings: top!male!reader, dom!reader - amab anatomy, ftm!character - afab!anatomy, grinding, wall / window sex, rough sex
[masterlist]
its a rite of passage for anyone who has ever met dazai to want to push him out of a window because he's just so damn annoying.
for you though, it's more fun to push him into a window. a floor-to-ceiling highrise somewhere in the port mafia headquarters, where he's not supposed to be.
your hand is clasped over his neck and holding his head to the glass, biting meanly at his lips and inhaling every moan that rips from his throat as your hips grind between his legs. your other hand travels to his underwear, teasing the rim of the fabric and feeling his stomach shake under each feather-soft touch.
dazai squirms impatiently and wraps his legs around your hips, bucking tightly, rubbing his soaked cunt all over your slacks, gyrating his achy clit against your cold sharp zipper through his panties.
"p-please, touch me already!" he whines, glassy eyes pleading you to spread him out and stuff him full.
your hand dips sharply into his soaked underwear to pinch his clit, earning loud yelp, before you tear the fabric away to reveal his pulsing cunt to the cold air. you grind his bare pussy harder into your belt and zipper as he wails from the cold metal and sharp texture and writhes in painful pleasure.
"don't! nng, please! wait-ah! fuck me!" dazai begs with a wrecked sound.
you grin, "why should i?" gripping his thighs tighter around your waist to rut harder between his shaking legs.
"i need you inside s-so fucking bad," the zipper catches on his clit. "FUCK! p-please!"
he's about to cry, so you should probably take some mercy on him. you unbuckle and unzip with one hand, the other supporting him between the glass and your body. you grip your cock and slide it between his slick pussy lips, skipping his hole with every pass. a loud whine escapes his lips as he bucks forward to try get you to just fuck him already so you stop.
grabbing your cock, you tap the head roughly against his clit, dazai's thighs involuntarily spasming with each tap and high pitched whimpers leaving his shaking lips. just as he's opening his mouth to beg more, you grip onto his hip and push in with one rough stroke. a scream rips from dazai's marked throat, head hitting the glass and back arched into you, eyes rolling and tears finally falling as he gets filled.
"w-wait! too fast! that's too much!" he pleads in between punched out screams as you fuck into him violently, grinding his clit between your bodies. his mouth is wide open from panting and the fullness of your cock in his tight cunt, so you spit in his mouth and watch him drool more. he can't stop himself from incoherently babbling every time he feels the head of your cock bully his cervix, wailing as you speed up and fuck his fragile body into the cold glass with each mean thrust.
suddenly he chokes, screaming breaking in his throat as his back arches painfully and his pussy gushes out clear liquid all over your cock. you can feel his insides trembling and spasming as you push in.
"no more... fuck please no more!" dazai cries, hurtling towards another orgasm that tenses and shakes his weak body. he grabs onto you desperately, curling into your body as he shudders and sobs into your shoulder, convulsions wracking his frame. a few more thrusts and you bury deep inside his beaten cunt before slipping out and dropping your hold on his body.
with nothing to press him to the window, his legs give out and he lands on the floor weakly, pussy spread open to the cold air. his thighs are glistening and his abused cunt is drooling onto the parquet with creamy slick and cum, flushed chest rising and falling rapidly as he fails to return to reality. the window behind him is cracked.
"don't try to sneak in again." you say, fixing your irreparably stained trousers and walking out.

Meeting the Firefam
Tumblr media
Eddie x reader
~1600 words
Warnings: epileptic reader. Hopefully accurately portrayed.
You parked in front of the station and turned off the ignition. Taking one final deep breath, you pushed the door open and stepped out. You didn't know why you were so nervous. Meeting Eddie’s coworkers shouldn't seem so frightening.
What if they hated you? What if they told him to break up with you? You knew they were more like family to him than just coworkers. Their opinions mattered a lot. You had only been dating him a little over a month but you had fallen hard. You really couldn't imagine your life without him and Chris and even Carla.
You needed them to like you.
Making your way inside, you quickly spotted Eddie as he approached. You greeted him with a kiss before he pulled you into a hug.
“Hey, you. How was traffic?” He asked.
You shrugged. “Normal. Slow.” Eddie knew it was your least favorite part about LA.
“I think lunch is almost ready. You ready to meet everyone?”
“No.” You wrapped your hands around his bicep as he started walking toward the trucks.
He leaned over and kissed your temple. “I told you they’re going to love you. You have nothing to worry about.” He pulled you along with him towards Buck and another firefighter beside the truck.
Buck smiled when he spotted you. “Hey, Y/N. Glad you finally decided to come have lunch with us.”
“Hi, Buck. Someone has been persistent.” You looked at Eddie just in time to catch his shrug.
“Y/N, this is Ravi.” Eddie introduced.
Ravi lifted his hand for you to shake. “Nice to finally meet you.”
“You too.”
Eddie pulled you away towards the stairs that led to the loft. You couldn't help but look around at everything. “This is a beautiful building.”
Eddie nodded. “I agree. It's my favorite station in the city.”
You had barely made it to the top of the stairs before you were being engulfed in hugs. “Oh, uh, hi.”
Eddie chuckled. “This is Hen and Chimney.”
“We are so excited to finally meet you. Eddie here won't shut up about you,” Chimney said.
You glanced at Eddie, catching him trying to hide his blush. “I don't talk about her that much,” he argued.
“Constantly,” Hen mouthed at you with a grin.
Next, Eddie led you over to the kitchen. “And this is Cap.”
The man in front of the stove wiped his hands on a dish towel before reaching out for a handshake. “It's Bobby.”
“Nice to meet you. It smells amazing in here.”
Bobby smiled. “Well, thank you. This will be done in a few minutes. Eddie, can you grab everyone down stairs?”
“On it.” Eddie pointed to the couches. “You can make yourself comfortable over there.”
Within ten minutes, everyone was getting settled at the table. Eddie took your hand to pull you up from the couch. As he pulled out a chair for you, you suddenly felt your left arm go numb.
“Oh no.” You mumbled. You reached out towards Eddie as your knees buckled and the world around you disappeared.
Eddie was quick to catch you before you could hit the ground. “Woah. Y/N?” When you didn't open your eyes he slowly lowered you to the floor. Seconds later you were convulsing violently. Eddie couldn't help but to just stare at you in shock.
Chim was on the floor beside Eddie a second later. “Eddie, we got her.”
“I'll grab a med kit,” Hen announced as she ran for the stairs.
Chimney kept you rolled on your side. Bobby stepped closer to pull Eddie away. “They need room to work.”
Eddie tried to resist. “I should help.”
Buck stepped beside his best friend to keep him out of the way.
Bobby stepped towards you and grabbed your foot, pulling off your shoe. “Medical alert. Epilepsy.” He pointed at the shoelace tag as he looked towards Eddie.
Eddie shook his head. “I didn't know. Why didn't she tell me?”
Hen returned with a monitor and med kit and Chim filled her in. “Epilepsy. Let's just give it a minute.”
Eddie pushes past Buck and sat down on the ground by your head. He whispered soft reassurances in case you could hear him.
Chim pulled a pulse ox monitor out of the med kit and clipped it on your finger.
“She's barely breathing,” Eddie pointed out. He knew that was common with seizures but still couldn't help the mild panic he felt.
“That's normal,” Hen reminded him. She started to attach an oxygen mask to the tank she’d carried upstairs just in case.
Next, Chim started to attach cardiac leads to your chest. Once he'd finished, they waited for the seizure to stop.
“That's five minutes,” Bobby pointed out.
Hen and Chim sighed as they locked eyes with each other. “Alright, let's push Ativan,” Chim said.
“I'll start an IV,” Hen announced. “Eddie can you hold her arm?” He did as asked, trying to hold your arm as still as possible without hurting you. “I'm in.”
Chim pushed the meds he'd drawn up as soon as IV was secured. It took about another twenty seconds for the seizure to finally stop.
Everyone let out a relieved breath. Eddie pushed some hair back behind your ear.
“Let's get her loaded up and to the hospital,” Chimney broke the momentary silence.
Hen nodded. “I'll go radio dispatch and get ready.”
Within five minutes you were loaded into the ambulance with Eddie and Chim beside you as Hen shifted into drive.
“Ugh.” You groaned a few minutes later. “N-no hospital,” you mumbled out fighting your grogginess.
Eddie ran his hand over your head. “Yes, hospital.”
You huffed, frustrated you can't get the words out to explain. “E-epi–”
“We know about your epilepsy, we found your alert tag,” Eddie interrupted. “Sweetheart, your seizure lasted almost six minutes. Hen and Chim had to push meds to stop it. You have to go in.”
Your eyebrows rose in surprise. Suddenly you were glad you'd been with them for lunch and not alone at home. You knew he was right and allowed yourself to relax. “Tired.”
Eddie pressed a kiss to your knuckles. “That's the medicine. You can sleep.”
You nodded as your eyes drifted closed. You weren't sure you could have stayed awake even if you'd tried.
A few hours later, you were finally settled into a room after being poked and prodded. They had run all kinds of tests trying to figure out what might have caused the long seizure.
“Anything I can get for you?” the nurse asked.
You shook your head as you shifted in an attempt to find a comfortable position. Every muscle was sore.
“Okay. I'll let your visitors know they can come in now, if that's alright with you,” the nurse says as she walks toward the door.
“Visitors? Plural?” You ask surprised.
“You have a whole herd of firefighters waiting out there for you,” she explains.
“Oh, wow. Could you just send Eddie in for now?”
She smiles kindly. “Of course, honey.”
Eddie pushes the door open not five minutes later. He pulls up a chair and takes your hand in his, careful to avoid your IV line.
“Hi,” you greeted
“Hi. How ya feeling?” He asked.
“Kinda like someone put me through a blender.”
He chuckled and nodded. “You scared me. I'm just glad Bobby noticed your medical alert tag.”
“I'm sorry,” you sighed. “This is definitely not how I planned to tell you about my epilepsy.”
He locks eyes with you. “So you were planning to tell me.” He looks annoyed or maybe hurt that you hadn't already told him.
“Eventually.” You drop your gaze to the bed. “It's not exactly an easy conversation. It's caused a few break ups over the years.”
“What do you mean?” He looks genuinely confused.
“I'm too much to deal with. No one wants to deal with seizures,” you try to explain. “And you already have to deal with sick people all day at work. I'm sure the last thing you want to do is deal with the same at home.” You sniffle. “I'll understand if you want out now.”
“Y/N,” Eddie said, placing a finger under your chin to make you look at him. “I love you. This could never change that. Any guy who dumped you because of this is an asshole.”
Tears rolled down your face before you were suddenly sobbing, relief washing over you in waves.
Eddie moved quickly to sit beside you on the bed. Pulling you into his side and shishing you softly.
You had been so worried about telling him for so long. “I-I'm sorry. I should have told you.” You sniffled harshly. “I should have known you'd accept this part of me.”
“You have nothing to apologize for. I know now. That's all that matters.”
Eventually you calmed down but you were beyond exhausted. “Hey, isn't everyone still out there waiting?”
“Yeah.” He pulled his phone out of his pocket. “I'll text them that you're okay and let them know they can head home.”
Placing a hand over his screen, you shook your head. “No. I want to see them.”
“You need to rest,” he argued. “They can come back tomorrow or we can go to the station if you're discharged.”
“Just a quick visit. Please? Fifteen minutes.”
Sighing, he stood from where he was still perched on the bed. “Ten.”
“Deal.”

Two Forms of Desperation
I'd love to keep you in a chastity cage for weeks, and tease you every single day. You're a kept woman, of course, but that doesn't mean the teasing needs to stop when I go to work. I'll leave you with a remote vibe inside your cage and a plug in your ass and steadily edge you all day, every day. You'd better not fucking fall behind on your housework because of this. But you're such a good girl, and I know that you fear me even more than you want me, so you don't.
I'll watch you deteriorate as a human being. Watch you debase yourself, so frantically desperate for any kind of release. Watch you devolve into wrenching sobs as you cling to my feet, not daring to glance up at me for fear of meeting my cold eyes, indifferent to your suffering.
Then, one day, you're doing dishes. Your whole face feels puffy and tight from crying, but still, the tears flow down your cheeks as the pain in your cage remains unbearable. You look so broken. That's when I decide to take you. I grab a fistful of your hair and drag you to the living room, throwing your body to the ground and your face into the carpet. You feel an overwhelming surge of relief as I unlock the cage, and all you can do is whimper, "Thank you, Goddess" over and over in a frail, choked little voice. I don't start slow. I fuck you harder than I've ever fucked you before. I keep the vibe on you and turn up the intensity to its maximum. The effect is instantaneous. The most incredible orgasm you've ever experienced in your worthless little life and fresh tears of joy stream down your face as you're completely overcome with pleasure the likes of which you never could have even imagined.
But then I don't stop. I slow down and lower the vibration just enough for your body to recover between orgasms, then ramp it up to maximum again. Over and over, shuddering tidal waves of pleasure burst through your entire being. Your body convulses and you feel like every single one of your muscles is spasming out of control. It's too much. It's too much. Soon, each wave begins to decline in pleasure and the sensation shifts to pain. It hurts now. Every thrust sends a stabbing pain through your body, and every orgasm depletes you more and more of energy you didn't even think you had left. You beg me to stop. I ignore you. You scream and wail and cry and beg and feel as though your body is being torn apart. All of your senses seem to blacken and some instinct drives you to get away, to please make it stop, but I'm just so much stronger than you and I've already left you so weak. I hold you down and push your face into the floor, then fuck you even harder. Somewhere in the only minute rational corner of your mind you have left, you wonder how I could possibly be fucking you harder than I was before.
This goes on for what feels like hours. What began as heaven has twisted into hell. Eventually, your screaming ceases and you become silent, accepting the piercing pain that rips through your body with each thrust. This is what penetration feels like. You forget who you are. You become an unthinking husk.
Finally, I stop.
I collapse on the floor next to you, pulling your small, violently trembling body into mine, and kiss your neck so softly. I stroke your nipples and caress every inch of your round softness so gently. I tell you over and over how perfect you are, how wonderfully you did, and how much I love you. I know you're not strong enough to stand, so I lift you up in a bridal carry and take you to the bed. I make you drink water and I cook you your favorite meal. We watch one of your comfort movies as you melt into my arms and freshly sob. I coo reassurances and stroke your hair, and you cling to me so tight that your knuckles turn pale. Finally, mercifully, the emotion slowly subsides and you drift off into the heaviest and most restful sleep you've ever had.
When you wake up the next morning, you find two things: a plate of breakfast and a hot cup of coffee on the nightstand made just how you like it, and the chastity belt locked around your waist.

Chapter 2: the giant blue alien in the room
You woke up to the pleasant feeling of burning agony, like you'd just skinny dipped in molten hot lava.
"G-guhhhh—" you choked out, fingers twitching and trembling against the floor as you struggled to gain some semblance of motor control. Tears burned your eyes and dripped down your cheeks. You writhed violently on your side as wave after wave of excruciating, searing pain washed over you.
Breathe, you told yourself. Just breathe through it, Y/n.
That was a lot more difficult than it sounded, especially when all you could hear was a continuous, tortured scream in your head. Your nails scraped at the cold concrete that did nothing to cool you down, trying to grasp onto something for support but only finding air between your fingers.
Never had you experienced anything so intense and all-consuming in your life. On a scale of 'Oh shit, that was a spicy cheeto' to 'Fuck I think my face is melting off', you were probably at a respectable 'I want to amputate all of my limbs and live in a freezer for the rest of my life'. Your vision dimmed and blurred as you fought to stay awake.
It was a strangled choking sound that broke you slightly out of your delirium. Your head turned slowly to see a giant blue body not too far from you, the skin on his right arm and leg raised in a pattern of angry looking blisters, but that wasn't what caught your attention. It was the frantic wheezing sounds he was making, grabbing desperately at his throat.
Somewhere in your foggy mind it occurred to you that oh yeah, that's right, his kind were not meant to breathe in your air.
Get up, Y/n, you chided yourself, squeezing your eyes shut. You need to do something.
With all of the strength you could muster, you rolled over, your vision nearly going white from the blinding pain. Slowly you staggered to your feet, pausing as a wave of nausea washed over you.
You blinked through your titling vision, eyes scanning the room for a possible solution. The only thing you could see were the supplies you had originally found, although some of them were admittedly pretty burnt now. Rebreather masks would be useless to him as well. Shit.
That left only one option. You had to figure out how to bring the native air from outside into the room.
Your eyes rose to the two, tiny windows in the room, located way higher than you could reach. You knew that every single window in base 36 was mandated to be bulletproof, so the chances of you being able to break it were thin, but—you had to try.
Staggering to your pile of supplies, you dropped to your knees, hands frantically combing through the items until they closed around the handle of the rifle you had discovered earlier. You quickly snatched a rebreather mask from the floor and secured it on your face. With a shuddering breath, you aimed the barrel at the right window, flicking off the safety and hastily pulling the trigger.
Bang.
The bullet ricocheted off of the surface, imbedding itself into the wall just over your shoulder. You inhaled sharply, turning to blink at it in shock. That was...way too close.
By now, the Na'vi had given up clawing at his throat. He laid sprawled across the floor, eyes wide and terror-filled as his chest rose and fell rapidly in short, convulsing breaths.
Damn, damn, damn. He couldn't take much more of this.
"Don't worry," you articulated the best you could, which was probably a barely understandable slur. "I won't—I won't let you die."
With renewed determination, you lifted the barrel to aim at the window again. You pulled the trigger.
Bang.
"Ah, fuck!" You cried, stumbling backwards. The bullet had grazed your burnt arm. Damn that stung like a motherfucker.
You grabbed the wound, clenching your jaw as you put pressure on it. Warm, thick blood escaped from between your fingers, trickling down your skin in rivulets.
"Okay," you breathed to yourself, supporting your injured arm with your other hand. Your whole body trembled from the pulsing pain. "You can do this, come on."
You pulled the trigger.
With a cry, you dropped the gun, clutching onto your arm in pain from the recoil.
The bullet imbedded itself in the window. You panted, watching with wide eyes as cracks began to quickly spread from the point of impact.
It shattered, pieces of glass exploding outwards and clattering onto the floor. You lowered your gaze, sighing in relief.
Your eyes flickered to the trembling form to your left. He was in terrible shape, but he hadn't passed out yet. He would survive.
You sunk carelessly to your knees, hands pressing into the floor as you struggled to catch your breath. Was it you, or was it getting suffocatingly humid in here?
Wait.
You took a deep, experimental breath, horrified to find that it didn't quite fill your lungs. Your hands quickly shot up to your mask, grasping blindly until you froze, cold realization washing over you as your thumb ran over a noticeable crack.
No, no, no. You couldn't possible be this much of an idiot.
Except you were.
You'd forgotten to properly check your own oxygen supply in your haste to make sure that the potentially homicidal alien didn't suffocate next to you. Now you were about to suffocate instead. Fantastic.
You dove back into the scattered pile of junk with desperation, your heart sinking as one by one, the rebreather masks turned up cracked or burnt. Completely unusable.
This can't be happening, you thought hysterically, a sob threatening to burst from your throat.
You could feel yourself getting lightheaded, your eyelids fluttering with the effort of staying open. It was at that moment when you finally spotted it lying on the floor, maybe a dozen or so steps away.
A completely intact mask.
Your eyes widened as you staggered forward, hand reaching out desperately. You took about two steps before your vision swam dangerously, your gaze titling quickly towards the ground.
You landed harshly on the concrete, you could tell by the way your teeth clacked and the hard jolt in your wrists, but you barely felt any pain. The only thing you could feel was the burning in your lungs and the thrumming wooziness in your head that was making everything spin.
Come on, you gritted your teeth, using the last of your strength to shimmy yourself forward, your mouth gaping open in rapid, heavy pants.
Come on....
Your vision darkened at the edges as your head collapsed against the floor, your body finally giving in to violent convulsions. You panted shallowly, your fingers twitching out to reach for something—someone.
The last thing you remembered was the feeling of your body floating steadily in the air, before relief quenched the unbearable burning in your lungs. You blinked blearily, the last of your energy drained as your eyes finally slid shut.
You dreamt of the ocean. Sea mist in your hair and salt water on your lips.
****
Sunlight shone through your lids, making you groan.
Your eyelids fluttered in irritation, before finally blinking open in defeat, giving up on the hope of getting any more sleep.
You were...not in your your room. Your eyes widened as you jolted upright in shock—or, well at least you tried to. An overwhelming throbbing pain across your chest, knees, right forearm and head knocked you flat on your back again, wheezing for air.
The second thing you noticed was the mask on your face, your breath fogging up the clear surface in small puffs. Why were you wearing a mask inside the base? What was going on?
The base collapsing in the fire. Saving the blue alien. Getting knocked unconscious by the explosion. Struggling to breathe—
Your breath shuddered as you brought your left hand up to grasp at your neck at the phantom feelings of suffocation, your fingers drifting upwards to skim the tender bruise at the back of your skull. Your heart hammered frantically in your chest.
Then, if you were here, that meant...
Your head slowly craned over to the other side of the room, a gasp leaving your throat at the sight of your new roommate slumped against the wall.
Now that you were no longer in survival mode, you could truly take in his incredible stature. It was exactly like the stories you'd been told, he had to be at least ten feet tall, if not a little more. Lucky for him though, the ceilings in the storage room were just barely high enough to accommodate him at his full height.
His skin was not the same shade of blue everywhere. You noticed that it was a lighter, sky blue color nearing the center of his body like his torso and his face, and a darker, marine blue color at the extremities. There also seemed to be a distinct stripe like pattern that you were pretty sure was natural for his species. The dark, tattoo-like markings all over his body were a different story of course. The swirling shapes and symbols extended down his biceps and climbed delicately up his neck, but seemed to be the most intricate around his left temple.
Large blue eyes suddenly snapped open, catching your stare with startling intensity. You almost scrambled backwards in a jolt of fear, but caught yourself at the last second, holding carefully still.
You didn't even dare to breathe as he narrowed his eyes at you, making no move to come closer. His right arm hung limply at his side, the blistered skin probably making it very painful to move it at all. Not that you were much better off.
If you were to take a guess, you probably had second degree burns scattered in patches across the front of your body. The only thing keeping the bile in your throat from rising any further was your immobility.
After a few tense moments his gaze flickered away, growing disinterested in your little staring competition. You felt the air escape from your lungs, your tense shoulders loosening in a discreet sigh of relief. Right, you probably didn't register as much of a threat when you were sprawled across the floor like a rag doll.
You turned your gaze back towards the ceiling, staring thoughtfully at the condensation on your mask as you contemplated your situation. The rations you'd found earlier were probably salvageable, being packed safely inside thick bags meant to withstand the elements of Pandora. As for water...well, you were just happy it rained often here. You'd have to find a way to capture the water from the tiny windows much too high for you to reach, but that was a problem for later you. As for now...
You closed your eyes, willing yourself to push up to a sitting position. Your eyes watered immediately at the intense burning pain. Okay, no, your pain tolerance wasn't that high. Gritting your teeth, you tried rolling over instead, the stretch of your skin making your jaw clench so hard you were surprised a tooth didn't crack under the pressure.
You were so concentrated on the movement that you didn't feel your stomach roiling tumultuously, or the warm bile climbing up your throat until it was too late. As you pushed yourself up on a shaky arm, your eyes widened as you felt your body violently expel your last meal. You shoved off your mask in the nick of time, turning your head to the side as gunk splattered on the floor next to you in an acrid, chunky pile.
You wiped your face with your good arm, spitting out the residue in your mouth with a grimace. Gross.
The Na'vi was eyeing you in disgust, and you were pretty sure that he would've moved away if he wasn't already sitting as far as he possibly could from you. You returned your own glare. Well, if it weren't for you, he'd currently be an extra crispy dino-sized potato chip, so he shouldn't be complaining about vomit.
Readjusting your mask, you glanced carefully around the room, your gaze sharpening on a first aid kit poking out of a ration bag. Well, patching yourself up was priority number one. You were not looking to deal with an infection on top of second degree burns.
You hissed a breath through your teeth, pushing yourself up on your elbows. Your arms shook from the strain, tears welling up in your eyes and streaming down your cheeks.
Twenty feet felt like two miles, and by the time you'd managed to drag yourself across the floor, you were pretty sure forty-five minutes had passed. The whole time, you felt a piercing stare burning into your back. You ignored it, not having the energy for another useless stare down.
Coughing wetly, you grabbed the duffel bag with trembling fingers, pulling it closer to you. It took you a few tries to pull the zipper open, but you finally managed the motion on the fourth try, freeing the white box of medical supplies from its confines.
You undid the clasps, flipping it open carefully. Bandaids, gauze, plasters, soap, alcohol wipes, sterile gloves, tweezers, antibiotic ointment, scissors, needle and thread. Perfect.
Carefully scooting yourself to a seated position and wincing at every tiny agonizing motion, you pulled on the latex gloves with a snap. A muted snarl broke you out of your concentration, making you pause.
Your alien roommate was not a happy camper, judging by his curled upper lip that exposed his giant, bat-like fangs. Okay, that was definitely not good. Those things could probably bite your leg clean off if you weren't careful.
The rumors you heard about his species still very much freaked you out, if you were being honest.
"Hey," you said lowly, raising your gloved hands. You flinched as his snarl grew more intense, eyeing the unnatural blue color on your skin in evident distrust.
Jesus Christ, you'd really done it now, hadn't you? Why couldn't you have just acted like a normal human being with self preservation instincts and only saved yourself? Now you had to deal with...whatever the hell this headache was.
"They're gloves," you emphasized helplessly, knowing that he couldn't understand you but still trying to convey meaning through your tone. "They're harmless, see?" You brought your hands down to pat your shoulders, hiding a wince at the movement. You put on your most convincing (although slightly strained), harmless smile for extra effect. A rogue muscle jumped under your eye.
His glare didn't relent but the hard line of his scowl relaxed a little. Okay rude, what did he even think you were capable of doing in this sorry ass state? Plus, if you wanted him dead you would have just let him be.
Struggling not to roll your eyes, you pointed at one of the nastier burns on your chest, where your shirt was torn to shreds and practically fusing with the reddened, bloody skin. "I'm hurt," you exaggerated the word, widening your eyes meaningfully and frowning. "This will help me heal." You pointed at the contents of the first aid kit, before pointing back at your wound with a raised brow.
The Na'vi snorted at your slowed tone, rolling his shoulder in dismissal before occupying himself with something on a distant wall.
Annoyance surged through you, but it was brief and you let it go quickly with a sigh. Whatever, it was a good thing his suffocating attention was off of you now.
He never turned his back to you though, you noticed. Even now, you could tell he was still keeping tabs on you by the tension in his shoulders.
Well, maybe it was better that he still saw you as somewhat of a threat.
Focusing back on the task at hand, you grabbed a water bottle, soap solution and some gauze, bracing yourself for how much this was going to make you want to shit yourself. And you were pretty sure that the Na'vi would muster up the last of his strength and kill you himself if that actually happened, judging by his utter disgust and displeasure at your vomit.
Wetting a piece of gauze with water and soap, you brought it gingerly to the skin over your collarbone. Striking pain erupted at the point of contact, your jaw flexing to keep in any sounds.
Patting the gauze lower, you couldn't help but screech at the utter agony of it connecting with your open wound. Fuckity fuck fuck, that hurt like bitch on steroids.
When you blinked away the confetti in your vision, you caught the Na'vi's alarmed gaze, the space where his eyebrows should have been now furrowed and pointed ears pricked up and facing you.
"Take a picture, it'll last longer," you muttered under your breath, before gritting your teeth as you forced your trembling hands to press the gauze pad over the rest of your wound. It took awhile and several rolls, but now every wound was cleaned, dressed, and if needed—stitched. Your head still throbbed uncontrollably in what was most definitely a nasty concussion, but you couldn't really ice it like you wanted to. By the time you were done, the sun had already started to set in the sky.
Your stomach rumbled in protest, and you grimaced. The intense pain had made you forget that you unfortunately needed sustenance to survive.
Time to take stock of your supply.
You dug through the duffle bag on your side, pulling out MRE kits and other field rations. You also found some plastic utensils and more water bottles and filters. Some of them were weirdly misshaped though, probably warped from the heat of the explosion.
You discarded those ones to the side with a frown. What a waste.
Ripping open an MRE pack, you mourned your microwave as you took a bite of room temperature tortellini. You just hoped that those in charge of the outer ring of base 36 came to your rescue sooner rather than later.
The rapidly familiarizing feeling of a piercing stare on you caused you to look up, your gaze locking onto narrowed baby blues. But they looked more curious than distrustful, this time.
You held up your meal pack, gesturing at him. "You want some?" You shook it in his direction meaningfully. "It's good." Lie, but he didn't need to know that.
Like most other living creatures, you were 99% sure he needed to eat to stay alive. And as far as you knew, he'd eaten nothing since you were both trapped. As long as he didn't try to eat you, you didn't mind sharing your rations. There was still quite a lot left, and you were pretty hopeful sure your fellow humans would have paid you a visit before you inevitably ran out.
His eyes widened minutely at the package, and you could see the barest predatory flash in his widening pupils, before he huffed, shooting you a disgusted look.
Your raised hand lowered as you gave him a deadpanned look. What a brat. Whatever, you shrugged, taking a quick breath as you lifted your mask. More for you then.
It was not even thirty minutes later that you realized your second dilemma.
That being, you had to tinkle. Real bad.
Goddamnit, this was embarrassing. You chanced a grimacing look at your companion, who was once again busy staring at a wall, but one ear was still turned towards you. No matter how weird this situation was, you had no desire to contribute to that factor by getting naked in front of a volatile, giant blue alien.
But you were nothing if not resourceful.
Goodbye, dignity, you sighed as you began hoisting yourself behind the pile of supplies and duffel bags you'd both stacked to take cover from the fire. You felt the Na'vi's wary gaze on you as you moved, but he hadn't felt the need to come and investigate, which you counted as a blessing.
Grabbing one of the warped water bottles, you poured out the toxic liquid on the concrete, before getting into position. Closing your eyes, you tried your hardest to pretend that you weren't trapped in a room with a strange alien man less than twenty feet away from you. You pictured your small, but warm toned bathroom, your toiletries lined neatly on the counter and a painting hanging over the towel rack.
Pretty soon you felt sweet relief as your aching bladder finally emptied its contents into the bottle. Your eyes blinked open, and you quickly cleaned yourself up, grimacing in embarrassment and disgust as you screwed back on the lid to the bottle and shoved it away from sight.
Well, that was over with.
By now, the room was bathed only in moon and starlight, the walls almost taking up a luminescence you would never be privy to on earth.
Your expression soured at the thought of your home planet. You didn't typically enjoy revisiting those memories, mostly because they were tainted with constant misery. The ashy smoke in the air, the dirt on your skin, the pangs of hunger deep into the night—you didn't want to think about it. You were far, far away from that life.
Although, you weren't quite sure if your current situation was much better.
With a wince, you scooted forward, peeking curiously around your makeshift wall of privacy. The Na'vi was curled on his side, still facing you, but now—surprisingly, his eyes had drifted shut, his expression finally peaceful in slumber. You held your breath, taking a moment to admire him.
Now that you weren't actively fearing for your life, you could really appreciate the wild beauty of this planet's native humanoid species. He looked like a mythical creature from a fantasy story, aqua blue skin shining like the glimmering shallow waters on a beach under the sunlight. You blinked a couple of times in shock, resisting the urge to rub them. No—wait, he was actually glowing.
At first you had thought it was the moonlight shining on his skin, but he seemed to be generating his own variation of bioluminescence instead. A beacon of otherworldly beauty, just like the rest of Pandora.
Incredible, you thought to yourself in awe, unable to look away. Your fingers itched with the sudden urge to start sketching him.
Suddenly, a pale, opalescent eye snapped open, glaring at you furiously. You yelped, almost falling backwards on your elbows.
His lip curled to reveal a snarl, his ears pinning down flat against his head in warning and his thick tail whipping restlessly in the air. The message was clear: mind your own business before I come over there and gouge your tiny eyes out. I'll do it—
"Okay, okay," you sighed, raising your hands in surrender. "I get it, I'm leaving."
You scooted away, back into your little alcove of duffel bags and random burnt junk. Lowering yourself onto the fluffiest looking one, you sighed, squirming uncomfortably as you stared at the scorched ceiling.
It didn't take long before your blinks became heavier and more frequent, your eyelids lowering more with each one. It seemed you were more exhausted that you thought.
When your breathing finally evened out, it was to the distinct feeling of a strong, steady heartbeat thrumming beneath you.

Y'all, I had way too much fun writing Ao'nung's pissy attitude XD. I can't picture his aggressive side eye without cracking up. Don't worry though, he'll eventually come around ;)

Sam dies again, shortly after being resurrected by Dean’s crossroad demon deal. It was an accident, just a hazard of the job. Dean couldn’t stop it.
Tumblr media
Dean goes crazy after it happens. He has no more soul left to bargain with. He goes numb.
He couldn’t care less about his inevitable, one-way trip to Hell, the moot deal that it now is. Nothing could be worse than this wretched hopelessness, the gnawing blackness that grows inside him with every passing moment. His thoughts plague him,
Is Sam even in heaven? After all the demons’ taunts about him coming back Wrong- had Dean doomed him, his baby brother, his son, his boy, to Hell?
Sammy's gone, and Dean’s soul is still sold, and it's so unfair-
Dean’s kept Sam’s corpse- Sam, he’s kept Sam, again. Has laid him out on a shitty, stained mattress. Again. He’s also laid out every single fireable weapon in their considerable arsenal next to Sam on the bed, all loaded. Every second that goes by, the itch to grab them gets stronger.
He’s out of options. Trying another crossroads demon had done nothing. Frantic, useless researching about resurrection, which he’d already done the first time - nothing. Praying to god, for the first time ever, saying please, please, I know I’m fresh out of any sort of Grace, but surely you can see that He’s not. Sammy doesn’t deserve to be in Hell, please-
Nothing.
The guns on the mattress glare at him. All gleaming, metallic resilience, taunting him, sitting so starkly cold next to Dean’s dead baby brother. Dean’s hands haven’t given up their tell-tale tremor since it happened. Since Sam---
The tremor is one that he’s felt on and off throughout the years - only appearing on those not-so-rare occasions where Sam had taken hits just hard enough, gotten cuts just deep enough that Dean would have the Thought strike through him like lightning,
Sam might not come back from this one.
The end of Dean’s sleeve is soaked as it covers his trembling hand, what is probably snot and spit mixing in with more and more tears as he alternates between pitiful comforts. Wedging his shaking hands deep into the sockets of his eyes as he convulses through his sobs and cries, then shifting them to press tensely against his teeth through his lips, trying in vain to calm down and keep quiet, and then moving to his nose to wipe away the aftermath and start all over again.
Sam’s not coming back from this one.
I failed.
It’s over.
Dean abruptly stands, shoving and tearing the guns away, violently shoving his sleeve to his face to dry it, having to move up higher on his arm each time as his sleeves caught more of his heart leaking out of his eyes, nose, and mouth. He lets all but Sam’s beloved Taurus recklessly fall to the floor.
His stupid, beloved Taurus that the kid’d saved up enough money to buy for himself - all honest-earned money, after getting a grocery store job he applied for the second he turned 14. Cheap-ass Brazilian gun, Dad had called it with derision, but he’d let Sam buy it all the same.
Dean had thought, at the time, that Sam’s choice of gun was just because it was, in fact, affordable and non-American (Sam was never shy about his lack of patriotism, even when Dad gave him all the more hell for it). But he hadn’t caught Sam slipping away to pawn shops and military resale stores while Dad was away and Dean worked dead-end odd jobs to pay the bills like civilians for a while. But then Sam had found it, them, and then Dean had certainly noticed.
See, when Sam had first gotten the thing, it came with practical black grips. Factory standard, since Sam had wanted it new - forever a priss about owning something that wasn’t secondhand. But then, unbeknownst to Dean, Sam had searched high and low to find what he wanted, what he knew existed because he had seen it in a gun magazine once (he had frantically torn out the page as soon as he saw it, hidden in the back of the gas station and waiting for Dean to stop flirting with the cashier). So, Sam had saved up and played the long game, pawn shop after pawn shop, and it paid off.
He’d replaced the black grips - not speaking a peep to either Dean or Dad about it - with pearl ones. And sure, it wasn’t ivory, necessarily, and the stainless steel of the Taurus wasn’t exactly nickel-plated, but the effect was the same.
Sam’s very first gun of his own, which he bought with his own, labor-earned cash, oh-so-clearly fashioned after Dean’s.
And now here it is, cradled against Dean’s chest. He’d crawled into bed with Sam at some point during his weepy recollection, resting his head on Sam’s chest in oppositional mimicry of how they would lay together as kids. Sam, curled up under Dean’s chin, forever trying to make himself smaller in Dean’s arms even as he grew bigger.
But it’s Dean’s turn to be small. Dean’s turn, as he tugs Sam’s (cold, lifeless) arm over his back in a weak embrace, slipping his arm around Sam as best he can, squeezing and holding tight as he shakes apart. Sam’s Taurus is gripped surely in Dean’s hand, pressed under his chin.
His Colt, after which the Taurus had been so lovingly, painstakingly fashioned, lies discarded on the ground.

Anonymous: Can we get a y/n falls for Miranda, Miranda uses y/n to experiment with the cadou, the experiment fails, Miranda tosses y/n like garbage angst, Alcina finds y/n and does some nursing back to health fluff? Maybe then Miranda tries to take y/n back, and Alcina gets possessive?
Really awesome prompt idea! Let’s get into it!
You loved getting to know Miranda. You loved Miranda in spite of everything she put you through. You… loved her. So much. You knew she didn’t feel quite as strongly as you did, but… You told yourself that deep down she loved you back.
After a few weeks of “dating” seriously, (Miranda was just using you, really) She proposes an idea. She wants to test your affinity to the cadou.
You’re unsure. Just because you’re dating her and you love her, you shouldn’t feel like you have to give in, but… You do. The frigid stare Miranda gives you as she waits for your response scares you. What if she breaks up with you over this? You can’t stand the thought.
You clear your throat and ask what procedures are involved… You really wish you hadn’t.
Miranda gives you the graphic details of how samples of the cadou are implanted. It kind of makes you want to throw up. You’ve always been somewhat squeamish.
Miranda asks again if you will do this for her.
Do this for her…
Do this… For her? She knew what she was doing. The careful way she words this ensnares you and gives her greater leverage. If you love her, then surely you will undergo the implantation. It should be a no-brainer. We sacrifice for the ones we love…
You sigh and tell her that you’ll do whatever she wants.
Miranda surprises you by giving you a rare taste of affection. She kisses you. Her lips are so soft… So warm… Wait, what did you agree to again? She’s got you hopelessly wrapped around her finger.
Miranda is a master at manipulation.
You didn’t realize quite how cruel and calculating she was, though. Not until it was too late.
Miranda performs grueling experiments on you before the implantation. You try to hide how much the tests hurt and how badly you were suffering.
Miranda, however, is brutally focused and seemingly has no problems torturing you to get what she wants.
Eventually, Miranda does the implantation, and things seem okay… For a second.
Suddenly, you begin convulsing violently and your heart rate skyrockets. The instantaneous muscle contractions from your seizing makes you feel like your joints are about to pop out of their sockets.
The dull ache of your implantation site gives way to heavy bleeding and burning.
Your mouth begins to foam and you start vomiting uncontrollably… Quickly emptying your stomach all over the floor. It does little to bring you relief. The horrible dry heaving, that you’re afraid will cause broken ribs, feels like it lasts forever.
Miranda watches all of this. Every single second of it. She doesn’t come over to comfort you or even apologize. She simply takes notes and leaves you writhing in agony as she waits for something else to happen.
Finally, all seizing stops and you lie unconscious on the floor in a pool of your own blood and puke.
Miranda finally does express one emotion. Disgust. She wrinkles her nose at your limp figure and drags you out to the front of her house, dumping you next to a pile of refuse. Like fucking trash. Wow, you meant so little to her that she literally tossed your broken body away like it was nothing.
You lie there in the freezing cold, shivering and in pain for who knows how long.
Suddenly, the most gorgeous, and tall, woman you had ever seen graces your vision.
You look up at her, unable to talk or move. She is an angel or a beautiful apparition.
She looks at you with pity and is seemingly… Intrigued? Was that a blush on her cheeks? No. Get it together, Y/N, you’re dying, remember?
“Well… Who might you be?” She finally says.
Holy shit… That voice. You want to hear it again.
You try to talk, but you are too weak and you end up only mouthing nonsensical words. You simply don’t have the energy to answer.
“Shh, shh. It’s okay, little one.” Alcina soothes and bends down to cup your jaw with her hand. “Mother Miranda asked me to take you back to my castle. May I… Hold you?” She asks, feeling a little embarrassed of how timid she is in your presence. You’re very good looking and something about you has her enraptured.
Your eyes widen. She is a woman you could see yourself going to the ends of the earth for… She’s different than Miranda. She’s warm and kind.
You nod your head, with great difficulty, and Alcina carefully scoops you up.
She marvels at how perfectly you fit against her. Mother Miranda told her to do as she wanted with you, because you were useless to her now, but Alcina knows she’s keeping you all to herself. Miranda is a fool to let you go, but she is not. You belong to her now…
You stay at the castle for a few weeks as Alcina carefully nurses you back to health, but… She also talks to you and tells you about herself, her daughters, how she ended up here…
You’re embarrassed to admit this, but… You pretty much fell for her the very first moment you saw her. You needed something to hold onto, and she couldn’t have found you at a more crucial time. She’s… Stunning. Ethereal. Radiant. The world doesn’t deserve her, and yet, here she is. Spending all of her time with you.
Once you recover, you are like her constant shadow. She loves having you with her. She even has you run errands for her to let you feel like you are helping. Damn. She already knows you well enough to see how much you want to take some of the stress off of her.
You two fall in love with each other and begin dating soon after.
You’re happier than you’ve ever been. Miranda who? She is not even a blip on your radar anymore. All you can see is Alcina.
You both like to go on walks through the village to talk. However, Miranda has eyes and ears everywhere and it gets back to her that you are alive and well… The experiment must have been a success!
Miranda calls Alcina immediately and tells her to bring you over, but… Alcina does the unthinkable. She tells Mother Miranda no.
Miranda is speechless for a moment. Alcina has always been her most loyal follower. And yet, she just denied a request from her. She’s not even angry, she’s beyond shocked.
Alcina explains (Trying to bite back the vitriol she wants to unleash) that the cadou did not bond to you and she had to remove it to save you… It’s partially true. She did need to take the main fungal root out, but its affects had already seeped into your blood. You had become stronger and more resilient. Less… Human.
At Alcina’s explanation, Miranda’s eyes dim and her tone becomes bored. Dismissive as always to those who don’t meet her ridiculous standards.
Alcina is overjoyed that you are no longer at the forefront of Miranda’s mind, but… She feels a familiar stab of anger as Miranda behaves the exact same way she did when Alcina’s mutation first occurred. It’s like you’re dirt under Miranda’s feet, but Alcina knows how special you are. It’s infuriating to hear her discount you like this. She doesn’t deserve YOU. Not the other way around. Alcina quickly gets off the phone with her and goes to find you.
Her heart warms as she watches you read to her daughters and are able to make them laugh. It seems that they love you as well.
You were meant to be here. Surrounded by people who cared about you and cherished you.
This was your home and Alcina was your soulmate.

This is probably going to sound weird, but if you’re still looking for requests, I have an idea since I’m currently sick.
Jay, Matt and Kelly x emetophobic reader who wakes in the night anxious because her post nasal drip makes her feel like throwing up.
If this is too weird, feel free to pass by.
Babe. I totally get it cause IVE BEEN THERE.
Here’s a little short blurb to get you through! ❤️ Feel better soon my love!
Everything’s gonna be alright- Matt, Jay, and Kelly
Warnings: cold/flu symptoms described, anxiety attacks, alludes to vomiting (includes gagging and the feeling if vomiting) but not actual puking.
———————
The boys have been nothing but patient and loving since you have been home. You attempted to make it through the work day, but ended up having to call Jay for a ride home. He purposely stayed near or at the station, having seen this coming, but knowing you wouldn’t back down without a fight.
Matt met you and Jay at the door. You had finally been overcome by your fever and could not take a step without feeling like you would pass out. Matt immediately gave you orange juice and some flu medicine in hopes that you would feel a bit better soon. Kelly waved from the kitchen where he was making April Sexton’s mom’s famous chicken noodle soup. Kelly let out a little chuckle as Jay walked up the stairs, you waving pitifully over his shoulder like Nana from Peter Pan.
After Jay got you changed into Matt’s sweats and his army hoodie, he carried you back down the stairs and plopped you down on the middle of the pullout couch, which was now holding at least 8 pillows and 10 blankets. Matt handed you the remote, which then started a (favorite genre, movie series) marathon. You slept through most of it, but nobody bothered changing the channel.
At some point, Kelly woke you up to eat dinner and take more meds as Jay and Matt snoozed beside you. You briefly noticed it was dark outside before you broke into a coughing fit, effectively waking Matt and Jay from their slumber. Matt’s arm thwacked Jay in the chest as he reached over him to get to you. Jay placed a hand on your leg, not able to sit up as Matt practically pined him to the mattress.
“Okay baby. There you go. Cough all that stuff up.” Kelly encouraged, handing you a wad of tissues as he patiently waited for the fit to die down, rubbing your back.
You nodded, coughing into the tissues. Nothing seemed to want to come up. Eventually, the coughing died down and you were left with tears rolling down your face from the effort and the chest pain. You blew your nose before tossing the tissues in the trash can Kelly offered. Matt reached over and handed you your inhaler, encouraging you to use it. You hardly ever use it anymore, but you need it the most when you’re sick.
After that episode, you were left exhausted and told the boys you were ready for bed. Kelly carried you upstairs to bed while Jay and Matt cleaned up downstairs. By the time they got into bed, you were snoring on Kelly’s chest.
Around 2 am, you woke up shaking violently. You were freezing. You couldn’t breathe and you were honestly starting to freak out. It took you a moment to realize that you felt nauseous on top of it all and you immediately shook the person closest to you.
Kelly groaned as he felt someone shaking him. “Wha?” Kelly mumbled, rubbing sleep from his eyes.
You whimpered, folding in on yourself to try and stop the shaking. You could swear that your bones were literally rattling. You swallowed convulsively as you tried to keep your stomach at bay.
Kelly quickly sat up when he finally processed what was going on. He flicked on the light as he reached over the bed for the trash can he left there for your tissues. Once he had that emptied onto the floor, he reached over you to shaking Matt awake. “Shhh baby. It’s okay.” Kelly soothed, rubbing your back as Matt got his bearings and then woke up Jay.
“Whats going on?” Jay groaned, flipping over and observing the situation.
“She on fire.” Kelly said, hand to the back of your neck. “Baby? You feeling sick?” Kelly asked, pushing the covers away from you as he slid behind you.
You nodded, clutching his legs once they were around you in an attempt to ground yourself.
“It’s probably the phlegm.” Matt stated, rubbing your back. “If you gotta be sick, it’s okay. Everything’s gonna be alright Angel.” Matt cooed, kissing your shoulder blade.
Jay, who had gone to the bathroom for the thermometer and a washcloth, stuck the thermometer in your ear. When it beeped, he whistled lowly. “103.4” he quietly announced before placing the cloth on the back of your neck.
“Call Will. Ask when would be the time to take her to Med.” Matt instructed. He wanted to take you now, but he didn’t want to scare you further.
You jolted slightly, gagging into your hand. You allowed Kelly to place the trash can in front of you, though you tilted your head back against his shoulder. You had tears streaming down your face as one hand stayed planted over your mouth and the other rested on your chest.
“Baby girl. Just let it happen.” Kelly said, holding the trash can closer and pulling your ponytail back.
You worked to steady your breathing, swallowing against the feeling of snot running down the back of your throat. You were not going to throw up. You just weren’t. You kept up with your breathing exercises, barely containing a few gags as Matt patted you down with another damp cloth that Jay had brought in. Eventually, you calmed enough to risk a few sips of water and a couple NyQuil.
“Will said to bring her in if she hits 104 or can’t keep anything down.” Jay informed, gently sitting back down on his side of the mattress.
“She’s cooling down some.” Kelly said, reaching for the thermometer. “Yep. 102.7.” Kelly announced, gently pulling you to recline back on him.
“Wanna sleep.” You whispered, finally calming down as the nausea began to settle.
All three boys hummed and laid down. Kelly made sure that you were propped up in between his legs and on his chest before closing his eyes. Everyone whispered their good nights as Jay set his alarm for your next dose of medicine and Matt settled in to watch over you for a while longer before he allowed sleep to overtake him.

Chapter 3: Confession
“No!” Silje’s disapproval resounded against the four walls of the studio. “You’re not concentrating!”
Taking a drag of her cigarette as she walked up to you, a cloud of smoke swirled from her mouth. “What is going on with you?”
“I-” You looked down sheepishly, upset that you were performing way below her and your standards lately. Dealing with Leon coming back into your life and the impending event of betraying her coming up sooner than you expected, were distracting you from giving your best.
“I’m sorry, Silje. I don’t know what has gotten into me,” you apologized. “I’ll try again.”
With a flick of her wrist, she commanded, “Sit.” You knew better than to question her and did as she asked, planting yourself on the floor by the mirror, hugging your knees like a child who had been relegated to the quiet corner.
Pointing to one of the other principal dancers, she barked out another order, “Take her place.”
Silje turned over to you again with a harsh reminder. “The premiere is next week. If you’re not ready by then, you will not be a part of it.”
This performance was an important one for the company and you didn’t want to let your mentor down, much less miss out on the opportunity to dance the leading part to a grand hall filled with spectators, including the big-wigs of the arts world.
“I understand,” you nodded your head respectfully. “I will do better next time.”
Everyone got into position as Silje counted down to the start of the piece for the piano accompanist. The movements began like clockwork and you tried to remain attentive to the steps where you had slipped up earlier on. However, you couldn’t shake off the memory of your previous meeting with Leon, where he had almost caressed you with a tenderness you missed from back when you were both in love. You shivered at the invisible touch, like your body remembered and craved it. But maybe you were wrong and had just imagined the whole thing.
As you focused back on the choreography again, the principal dancer who had taken your part stopped abruptly, as if she was in a daze, only to start covering her ears like they were in excruciating pain.
“GET OUT! GET OUUUTTT!!!” Her screams pierced through the room as she shook her head violently, clawing at her face, leaving angry, red marks across her pale skin.
For a moment, everyone stood still in complete shock, unsure of what to do. The dancer dropped to the floor, eyes rolling all the way to the back of her head, as she convulsed and frothed white foam at the mouth.
“Someone call an ambulance!” Another dancer yelled, as people dashed around, trying to prop her up, holding her flailing arms and legs down so that she would not hurt herself.
You noticed a flash of dark veins that seemed to swim across her body, before disappearing again.
By the time the paramedics had arrived, the affected dancer had calmed down, but was in a catatonic state. The first examinations didn’t find anything particularly out of the ordinary, except for an irregular heartbeat, but they took her away on a stretcher to the nearby hospital to get her further checked out.
You eyed Silje’s concern as she tried to allay the fears of the rest of the company, passing it off as nerves and imagination. The stress of the premiere could take its toll after all.
Leon’s words about bioweapons and viruses came back to haunt you, while your hands trembled in response. Was this what Silje meant as the gift? Would you end up like the poor girl?
You felt the buttery, smooth texture of Silje’s gloves against your cheeks as she cupped your face gently. “My child,” she cooed. “Don’t worry.” Then, she stroked your hair lovingly like how a mother would. “I’ll make sure you’re prepared by then.”
Staring into the abyss of her black tinted sunglasses, you prayed silently that you would be when the time came.
━━━━━━━━━━━
After an exhausting dance practice and sending a follow-up report to Bergmann and Leon about the accident at the theater, you set off to have an early night as you would need to handle the meeting with Till at an unearthly hour the next day.
When you woke up it was still dark as night. The early morning chill greeted you as you rubbed sleep out of your eyes and prepared your makeup and outfit before heading to the club. Rounding the corner to its entrance, you saw the familiar endless queue lines which stretched out far into the distance. You wouldn’t be caught dead joining them.
At the side of the building, you spotted Leon with his trademark pout leaning against the wall. He was wrapped tightly in a longer coat, instead of his usual leather jacket, covering what you hoped would be the outfit you gave him the other day. As you came closer, you were relieved to see the leather harness peeking out from underneath it.
“Hey, you ready?” you breathed, misty vapor emanating from your mouth.
“I look ridiculous,” he complained.
“We should have a tip jar for every time you’re a Negative Nancy,” you joked, hoping to put him in a better mood.
His sour expression shifted to one you interpreted as slight amusement. “I’m always up for a challenge.”
You laughed, continuing, “Besides, I bet you’d look hot to the club patrons.”
His frown returned as he cocked an eyebrow. “And I’m supposed to find that reassuring?”
Rolling your eyes, you dragged him by the arm towards the bouncer guarding the door, ignoring the dirty looks you were given by those waiting in line. One of the benefits of being a regular was that you could skip to the front, even without your name on the guestlist, as long as you turned up the charm of course.
Throwing on the brightest smile you could muster, you let go of Leon and turned your attention towards the bouncer. He was a stout, beefy man clad in black, topped with a beanie and adorned with facial tattoos and piercings. You gave him a hug and a peck on the cheek. “Hallo, Bruno. Wie geht’s?” (Hi Bruno, how’s it going?)
Bruno was the typical tough guy bouncer you’d find at most clubs in the area, intimidating and not afraid to put up a fight when needed. Although he wasn’t one to be bribed financially, he had a weakness for beautiful women or charismatic ones like yourself.
Holding onto you in the embrace for a little longer than necessary before letting go, he sighed and shrugged in response. “Tja, viel los heute.” (Well, very busy today.)
Motioning to you and those surrounding you, he questioned, “Wie viele?” (How many?)
“Zwei.” (Two.) You pointed between yourself and Leon behind you.
Bruno’s face dropped, as he sucked his teeth and sized Leon up, obviously unimpressed. “Mit dem Amerikaner?” (With the American?) He attempted to clarify, as if hoping you would disagree.
Damn, he must have heard the last bits of the conversation you had with Leon in English before heading over to him.
“Ja.” (Yes.) The corners of your mouth were aching from maintaining the cheery smile.
The moment you saw the leery grin slowly spread across his face, you knew what he was going to ask for. You forgot how Bruno enjoyed his little power trips sometimes.
“Zeig mir, was du trägst.” (Show me what you’re wearing.) He indicated for you to open up your coat, even though he knew you always adhered to the dress code. He was merely tolerating Leon because of you.
Speaking of the devil, you saw Leon brush past you to confront Bruno. “Hey-!”
Bruno shoved him back roughly, sneering, “Was geht denn bei ihm?” (What the hell is wrong with him?)
You quickly placed yourself between the two of them, before Leon could get more aggressive and turn this into a makeshift fight club. Placing a hand on Leon’s chest and raising your other in front of Bruno as a sign to hold off, you whispered to Leon, “Come on, don’t.”
Leon caught your gaze with concern, his eyes seeking some form of acknowledgement that you were sure about this. Giving him a weak smile, you nodded. At this, he backed off grumpily, allowing the scene to unfold before him.
Bracing yourself for the cold, you unbuttoned your coat, taking in a sharp breath as you slipped it off your shoulders and bared yourself to the bouncer and those within the vicinity. Bruno’s eyes widened and he licked his lips as he took in the sight of your rope corset, intricately tied along your waist and framing your breasts, which were left open except for a sprinkle of rose gold glitter covering your nipples. Below, you wore a matching pair of nude rose, lace panties and garters holding up your thigh-high stockings.
To sweeten the deal, you gave him a 360-degree turn with a seductive smile to boot. From your peripheral vision, you saw Leon’s blazing blue eyes staring at you with an unreadable expression. You couldn’t tell if he was dumbfounded, appalled or awkward, but he couldn’t hide the redness that crept up from his neck to the sides of his face, as he swallowed thickly and bit the inside of his cheek.
Bruno shamelessly admired your outfit however, giving you a low wolf-whistle in approval. With that, you placed your coat back on, hugging yourself while trying to stop your teeth from chattering.
“Damn… Sexy Outfit.” He grinned.
Phew, fucking finally.
He pushed open the thick set of formidable-looking doors to the club, motioning for you and Leon to enter, grunting, “Viel Spaß!” (Have fun!)
Ducking in, you sensed the annoyance in Leon’s voice as he muttered under his breath, “Arschloch.” (Asshole.)
Inside, as per the house rules, you left your coats and phones in the cloakroom, though Leon took an unwarranted amount of time to remove his outerwear. It felt like coaxing a young child to eat their vegetables, but you got there in the end.
You were pleasantly surprised that he had done exactly as you asked him to. The translucent crop top and leather boxers fitted over his muscular physique like a glove, with his sculpted abs on show. As a finishing touch, the harness hung perfectly over his sinewy chest. He had managed to figure out how to wear that thing properly. Not bad.
“So, you approve?” He waved his hand up and down in front of your face, smirking.
Shit, were you staring? You blinked. “Uh-”
“Next time, take a picture, it’ll last longer.” He flipped his hair, gesticulating at you to lead the way, as you groaned at his cheesy comeback.
Pumping techno music blasted through the sound system, the heavy bass vibrating through your bones. Beckoning Leon with a curled finger to follow behind you, you waded through the swarm of practically naked bodies past the dance floor and the maze of rooms - one with filled with static TV screens in a midnight garden, another littered with confessional booths and hot pink neon lights, the dungeon area, an empty space save for a golden cage and a pole, and so on. It was like being Alice in Wonderland. In every corner, you could find all sorts of hedonistic acts in full, public display. From drug taking, to S/M play, to anonymous sex with strangers in dark rooms, people were completely unabashed, as if they wanted to lose themselves to the night and party like there was no tomorrow.
You wondered how Leon was faring with all of this, knowing it could be rather overwhelming for those new to the city’s nightlife culture - yourself included when you had first stepped into this establishment many years ago. Turning around, you noticed he attracted a lot of attention from the usual club-goers, as you had earlier predicted. He was busy trying to fend them off, growling, “Not interested,” each time through his gritted teeth.
“You ok?” you called out.
He pinched the bridge of his nose with his thumb and index finger, shutting his eyes as he sighed in exasperation. “Yeah, just get me to Till already.”
“Um, I could leash you, if you want?” You offered, holding up the item in your hand and quickly explaining, “To stop them from coming on to you.”
“What?!” He sputtered.
“They’ll think you’re owned.”
Now you wished you had held your tongue, as Leon’s eyes nearly popped out of his head when you mentioned that.
“Ok, forget I said anything!” You raised your hands in surrender, but just as you were about to move off, you felt a firm grip on your shoulder.
“Wait.” He looked at you stoically, but you could tell how he was unnerved at the same time. “Do it,” he commanded.
You obliged, slowly reaching out to clip the leash on to the collar ring of his harness, giving him enough time to back out if he wanted to, but he didn’t. Gently, you tugged at it, bringing him further into the club, behind staff doors and underground, where your contact would be.
Reaching a backroom obscured by a beaded curtain and two bodyguards at the entrance, you informed them about your meeting with Till and they let you in, telling you to wait by the lounge chairs until you were called. You heard Leon clear his throat and realized you still had him by the leash, which could be taken off now that he was out of the rabid grasps of the crowd.
“Oh, yeah. Sorry.” You blushed, chewing your lip as you undid the clasp and put it away. “I wasn’t too rough, was I?”
“No.” He shook his head, as he rubbed the leather strap that was digging into his neck, unused to the sensation he felt there.
“If you’d asked me whether I saw this coming back in high school, I’d never have guessed it in a million years,” he laughed softly and for a brief moment you caught a glimpse of the same sweet-hearted boy you had grown up with.
He straightened himself, running a hand through his blonde locks, as his gaze shifted around you nervously. “So, you’re really into this sort of thing, huh?”
You puffed out a deep breath. It was a long story. To be honest, you put yourself out there as a way to adapt and survive in a city that was so different from anywhere you’d ever been to. You explored all its nooks and crannies, along with its vices, so to speak, making fast friends and taking any distraction you could get to suppress the loneliness and nightmares.
“Well… it’s alright,” you commented vaguely, avoiding any sort of eye contact with him. “I guess I just wanted to escape from the past.”
Before he had a chance to respond, you heard someone calling your name from the next room. Getting up, you made your way to a sectioned-off area laid with tatami mats. Billowy, white linen curtains draped around it, and behind them was a man sitting cross-legged with a deck of tarot cards spread out on the table in front of him.
The moment he spotted you, he leaped out and embraced you, giving you a double kiss on the cheeks. “Darling…” he greeted with an odd sing-song. “Always such a pleasure to see you.”
If there was a stereotype for how a criminal fence looked, Till wasn’t it. He wore a colorful kimono top and loose harem pants. His hair was covered in glitter and his face decorated with bold and flamboyant makeup that put yours to shame.
That said, Till could be friendly and light-hearted to a certain extent, but also incredibly shrewd and knew what things were worth. If you got too comfortable with him, he would bare his fangs. The shadows of his bodyguards always lurked nearby, never quite out of reach.
“And your friend?” He turned his attention towards Leon and winked. “Oh, he’s a handsome one.”
“Name’s Leon,” came the gruff reply. His hardened expression returned as he took a step towards Till. “Shall we get down to business?”
“Ah… so tense.” Till circled around, giving Leon a brisk massage on the shoulders which he attempted to shrug off. “Relax.”
“Come here.” Till gestured towards the mat, indicating that you should sit down, as he brought over two conspicuously red files, placing them at his side.
He then proceeded to empty out an off-white, crystalline powder from a resealable plastic bag onto a hand mirror lying on the table, using a card to cut up a thick line. Giving you a brazen grin, he extended the mirror over to you along with a straw. “It’s your favorite. Go on, you know the first one’s free.”
Just as you were about to give in to your temptations, Leon grabbed your arm and squeezed it tightly, his eyes clouded in a mixture of worry and disapproval.
“Tsk tsk, you’re no fun!” Till tutted at Leon, shifting the two red files towards him. “Don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten about you.”
Leon reached out to take the files with his other hand, but Till slid them back like a cat-and-mouse game. “Uh uh. Money first, then pick one.”
“What about the other?” Leon questioned suspiciously.
“We’ll get to that when the time comes.”
At this point, Leon let go of you reluctantly, but not without giving you a warning glance, before trawling through his waist pack and dumping out a wad of notes onto the table.
“I think you and I both know that this info is worth another stack,” Till remarked testily, wearing a shark-like smile on his face.
“Fine,” Leon spat, tossing out another bundle.
Till purred in satisfaction, as he took the stacks of euro bills, giving them a huge whiff and soaking in the earthy smell of old paper.
As Leon picked up one of the red files and peered through its contents, you slinked forward, ignoring the awkwardness of getting your fix in front of him, and snorted up the line of MDMA that Till had divided for you earlier. The substance burned your nasal membranes and your eyes watered as you sniffed a couple of times for good measure, dabbing at your nose daintily with your fingers. The bitterness of it trickled down your throat, creating a foul taste in your mouth. The high would take at least half an hour to kick in. You made flimsy excuses to yourself that with all the recent happenings, you deserved to let loose just this once.
Leon observed you momentarily in silent disappointment, then went back to inspecting the fine print on the documents, his brows creasing in unease the more he went through them.
“Interesting, isn’t it?” Till’s melodic voice rang out, disrupting both of you from your reveries. “Who could imagine something as simple as mold held so much potential?”
You looked up in confusion until Leon handed you the file to review.
“Who else knows about this?” He shot Till a piercing stare.
“You’re the first client it’s passed through,” Till admitted composedly. “The contact details of the scientist who created that report is in this other file.” He waved it around in the air smugly. “Wouldn’t it be nice to acquire his access card?”
The report was about the experimentation going on in the labs and unlike what had been previously suspected, it wasn’t the Plaga. It was something entirely new, which Leon seemed not to have much of a clue about. A project named NEXBAS was underway, currently in the B-Type series, whatever that meant. You skimmed through a couple of female-sounding names given to specimens they infected with the prototype mold. It was an ambitious project that aimed to create B.O.W.s capable of mind control.
Shakily, you handed back the file to Leon. So this was the cause of all the hallucinations that the people at the theater had experienced. However, you still didn’t understand what Silje’s gift meant. Did she plan to make you a bioweapon too?
As Leon continued to take out additional cash to purchase the other file, Till giggled mischievously. “Oh no, no! I don’t want any more of that. It’s so… what’s the word? Boring.”
“How about we play a small game of truth or dare?” He suggested.
“What the hell?” Leon raised his voice in disbelief.
“Just one round.” Till looked in your direction. “Come on, darling. Entertain me. Truth or dare?”
Till definitely liked keeping people on their toes. He was a sly one. “Truth,” you replied, sealing your fate in this warped fantasy of his.
Leon sulked in the corner, awaiting what Till had in store for you.
“Have you two fucked?” He quizzed, unflinchingly.
Talk about being brutally blunt. You sucked in a quick breath as you heard Leon choke on his saliva.
“Yes,” you whispered, looking down at your feet in humiliation, unwilling to lie in fear of jeopardizing the meeting.
Till chuckled. “Aww, so shy… how cute!” He clapped his hands together in glee before facing Leon, who resorted to giving him death glares. “And you, big boy. Your turn.”
Leon pursed his lips. “Dare.”
“A man of few words,” Till rightly noted. “And so much tension!” He shook his head mockingly. “Tell you what, why don’t you go relieve some of it with her, right here?” You gasped, aware of the underlying meaning of his sentence as he pointed at you.
“You’re fucking insane!” Leon cried, getting out of his seated position immediately.
“I know, that’s what my shrink tells me!” Till roared with laughter. “Alright, since you’re my favorite customer-” He fluttered his eyelashes at you. “-I’ll make it simple. How about a hot, steamy kiss, hm?”
“And you’re just about coming up on that high, aren’t you? Delicious,” he added, smacking his lips suggestively.
You couldn’t deny how perceptive Till could be at times. The increasing waves of euphoria were clawing its way up from the pits of your stomach to your chest. You felt dizzy, but connected to every living and non-living thing in the room.
“Go direct your porno elsewhere, freak!” Leon yelled, before helping you to your feet, in an attempt to leave the place.
Till drew out his lighter, flicking it open at the remaining file in a threatening manner. “You sure about that?”
The drugs made you feel less inhibited, but the reason you favored them over alcohol was because for the most part, you still remained in control of your own actions. Tracing Leon’s jawline with your fingers, you tried to appeal to him calmly, “We need that file, Leon. It’s just a kiss anyway?”
“I-” He froze up, casting you a pained look. “I can’t do this to you. It’s not right.”
“I’m ok, if you’re ok with it,” you affirmed. “It’s not the drugs talking, I swear.”
He closed his eyes and sighed into your caress. “Let’s make this quick then.” Though his voice was still laced with doubt. “Promise you’ll stop me at any time you don’t feel comfortable. I mean it.”
“I promise,” you breathed.
Till tapped his foot impatiently. “Don’t keep me waiting.”
You nodded, stroking Leon’s cheek and encouraging him to go ahead. With that, he leaned in, taking your lips into a gentle kiss, soft as velvet like the first time he had kissed you under the starlit sky. Memories of when you had been together came rushing back, filling the emptiness that ached in your heart for years. You clung to him desperately as he pulled you closer into his arms, deepening the kiss which grew in intensity and it felt like your body was melting into his. Parting your lips, you allowed his tongue to slip inside and run it along yours, the sensation sending wild tremors through your nerves. It had been so long since you’d been kissed like this, you wondered if Leon felt the same way as you did in that very instant.
“Wow!” Till exclaimed, fanning himself with the file. “I’d say that was a 10 out of 10.”
You and Leon broke away from each other, lips wet and swollen with need, breathless and panting away heavily. You already missed the warmth of his mouth against yours.
“Wasn’t so hard now, was it?” Till held out the file to Leon, who snatched it away from him in disgust.
“By the way, in exchange for the access card, the scientist wants a guarantee of safe passage.” Till disclosed casually. “He specifically told me to reach out to someone like yourself.”
It dawned on you in horror that this whole time Till had played the game just to mess with the two of you. You actually didn’t need to ‘pay’ anything for the information, because it had already been paid for. By the scientist.
Leon was fuming, but it seemed like he knew better than to resort to physical violence with a man of connections who was well-guarded, and likely had a weapon or two hidden under his sleeve.
Till waved goodbye as you were escorted out the room. “It was a delight working with you!”
His statement was met with Leon raising his middle finger back at him.
━━━━━━━━━━━
Leon had insisted on watching over you, as you came down from your high at his place. You suspected he felt terrible about the whole ordeal with Till, but you didn’t know how else to convince him that it was fully consensual until you were sober. So you lay in a bathrobe on the living room couch, drinking plenty of water and listening to soothing music, while Leon typed up a report for HQ.
At some point, Hunnigan had gotten in contact with him about the updates she had researched. There were no Los Illuminados members involved in the current case. The remaining stragglers were disenfranchised and left in Spain. No trade routes between them and Germany had been found.
Based on the details you had given them about Silje’s ‘business partner’, they managed to capture footage of him from cameras they had planted outside the building. It turned out that he went by the name of Brandon Bailey, and was part of the crime syndicate known as The Connections. They had been building a base of operations for their bioweapon products in the surrounding regions.
Leon was given a deadline to close the base in Berlin before the upcoming shipment could take place. By the end of next week, everything had to be terminated.
A couple of hours later when you sobered up, you tried to broach the subject of the kiss with Leon. There would never be a good time to bring it up and you decided it was better to do so now than leave it to fester for later.
“I’m fine. I still feel the same as before,” you reassured him. “Do you?”
“Yeah, I do,” he murmured, yet he threw a troubled glance in your direction. “Doesn’t make it right though.”
“I mean, it was fucked up, but I-”
He cut you off, intent on following through with his line of reasoning. “You don’t deserve this.”
Don't deserve what? To be put in the firing line? You chose this life to be an informant yourself. Even so, the guilt was eating away at him. From his interactions, you were beginning to see how he wanted to protect you from getting hurt and doing things you would regret in the mission. But was that all?
Despite the countless thoughts running through your head, you carried on with the confession you never got to make when he had left for Raccoon City. “Leon… I still love you.”
It felt like all the air had been knocked out of your lungs as the words tumbled out of your mouth, so pure and unadulterated, and meanwhile, an overpowering sense of fear started to set in. Was it too soon to say such things?
He tensed up noticeably; the exact reaction you were dreading.
“What’s wrong?”
He pressed his lips together with a sullen look on his face. “There’s been someone else…” he trailed off.
Another woman. Your heart sank and you heard the sound of blood rushing into your ears. Well, at least you could move on now, right? That was your closure and consolation prize, along with feeling like such a fool.
“I see.” You tried to mask the quiver in your voice but to no avail.
“I’m sorry.” He held your hand for a fleeting moment, before he realized what he was doing. Letting it go, he excused himself and walked away, hiding the tears forming in his eyes.
From afar, a lady in red with long, black boots watched the window to the apartment closely, planning on when to make her next move.

Seizure types
When someone says the word seizure we typically think of someone shaking on the floor unconscious, but there’s actually a lot more to seizures! They’re different for everyone but here are my most common types and how they look on me and (kind of) how to help during certain types of seizures
Absence seizure: An absence seizure is a lapse in consciousness that can last anywhere from 30 seconds to 5 minutes. I’m completely unaware of my surroundings and unable to respond, but I’ll just look like I’m staring off into space. There’s not much you can do to help besides stay with me and make sure nothing bad happens while I’m ‘gone’.
Atonic seizure: An atonic or drop seizure is a brief loss of muscle tone that looks exactly like it sounds, I just drop. Mostly it’s head drops but sometimes my whole body will give out. These usually only last a couple seconds so no need to help much, but be aware that atonic seizures can often be warning signs of a larger seizure.
Partial seizure: During a partial seizure I’m really out of it and unaware of my surroundings. I may still be able to respond to you or walk around but I’m not myself in these moments. The main thing you’d need to do to help is try to keep me in one place and away from anything dangerous. Do not let me wander off as I’m not really conscious and don’t know what I’m doing, which could end with me getting hurt.
Grand mal seizure: These are the types of seizures most people will think about when they hear the word. Grand mal or tonic-clonic seizures are the violent ones that involve convulsions, shaking, muscle stiffness, etc. follow basic seizure first aid for this type of seizure.

imagine a sickie going through a lengthy explanation about some topic, just as the nausea sets in. you notice how their voice sounds a bit shaky, just slightly deeper, they seem to be slurring a bit. until they have to pause, and swallow. when they talk again, you can almost hear the lump in their throat.
what was that? you know, so you tell them to continue. sickie goes on, talking a bit slower so you can understand and they don't choke. it doesn't work, and they have to pause again, swallowing audibly this time.
their voice is thick with nausea when they talk again. and they trail off into an airy gasp, their mouth is open, their lips are puckered and you can tell they are trying not to gag. it fails, and you hear when their throat convulses and their tongue curls, it is a wet sound. a gurgle follows but it's short-lived as they swallow yet again.
what did you say? you ask, trying to sound clueless. sickie starts again, but is interrupted by another gag. this one is harsh and you hear just as they lose control of their voice, letting out a small whimper. they press a fist to their mouth, trying to suppress the next gag, but it forces it's way past him.
sickie, everything alright? you finally ask when they go completely silent. sickie tries to speak, gets half a word out, maybe even less than that before they retch into their fist. you hear the gurgle traveling up their throat, and you hear the violent rush of stomach contents into their hand, you even the splatter on the floor, and the thick slurry dripping.
then a moment of silence, before a small timid voice tells you the obvious: they just threw up all over themselves.

Snapetober Day 9 - invention
TW blood, torture, death
"Severus, speak to me. Tell me how to help you", Albus whispered, holding the man tightly. He felt the boy's body tremble, the spasms got more and more violent - a few seconds later, Severus pushed him away, bending over just in time to vomit.
They were alone in the Great Hall; the sound of his convulsing stomach echoed through the place, and the Potion Master closed his eyes in shame. He could not breathe. He could not think.
Strong arms were holding him still. He instinctively leaned in the embrace, incapable of resisting the warmth and comfort: them only, he felt confusedly, could save him from the turmoil of his mind, from the sickening, sickening shame.
Albus pulled him closer, and stroked his hair.
Only the moon, in the heavy silence, was the witness of this paternal display.
"If you won't talk to me, Severus, show me", Albus whispered after a while, when the younger man's breathing was finally less erratic. "Just show me."
He felt tension in the other man's body, again, hesitation - Severus turned his black gaze upwards, trying to look him in the eye; but he could not. He failed, and tried again. Albus, faced with these pitiful attempts, felt his heart sink deeper, if it were even possible.
"Look at me", he murmured, and for a second Severus was able to comply.
A grief-stricken, revulsed expression met Albus' eyes, and he got the terrible presentiment that he would be next. With a feeling akin to terror, he penetrated the boy's mind.
He was different... he would help.
At first he saw nothing. He suffocated in utter darkness, unable to comprehend if it was his mind or body that suffered, to say where one began and the other finished; Severus' pain was his, and the debilitating anxiety nauseated him, so much so that he felt his mind retract, cowardly.
He refused; he held on. "Show me", he said again, and these words, pronounced with the voice that only existed in his mind, echoed through Severus' mental realm.
Slowly, a scene materialised before him. The decor was bare - stone walls, stone floors, grey shades, no windows. On the floor was a man, pale, beaten, trembling, moaning. He was bleeding profusely from his nose and mouth: awful sounds came out of him, strangled complaints, dying pleas. Bubbles of blood formed at the corners of his mouth as he tried to speak, and Albus wanted to look away, but he could not: Severus had looked. A voice rose to his right.
"This is very well done indeed", Lord Voldemort said suavely, "Very well done. Everything I asked for, Severus: that poison does it all."
The perspective did not change. Severus did not look at his master. His gaze was still fixed on the ground, and Albus had to suffer the abominable view of the dying man suffocating in his own blood without a pause. In concert with Severus, he found himself repeating over and over the same phrase as the man turned and twisted: please, drown. Please, drown. Please, let this be over.
But it would not stop; it went on and on and on, and the blood ran into the gaps between the stones, and the floors became a maze of crimson red. Then and only then did the man die, drained of all colour.
Slowly, Severus' gaze turned to his master, who smiled at him with fatherly pride.
"A wonderful invention, Severus. As always, you have given me complete satisfaction."
Albus could not take it anymore. He fled: out of Severus' mind, back in the Great Hall, desirous, for a second, to push the motionless man in his arms away too. Then he looked down, feeling dampness on his chest, and met black eyes in a face bathed with tears.
Once, Severus had been a boy: a fifteen-year-old boy, shy and brilliant, who had invented a potion that had made such an impression on Horace that he had come to his office, urging him to present the boy to the academy. Albus had said he would, and he had planned on doing it - but a few days later, Severus had gone down the Shrieking Shark, had at first refused to be silent, had almost made of Lupin a helpless murderer and him, Albus, an accessory to the crime.
So he had never sent that letter - never even met with the boy about the potion.
He had never congratulated the boy and never smiled at him with the pride and joy of a father.
