Miss Heed: The Walking Deconstruction Of Defect For Love

I realized that Miss Heed's turn to being a heroine is based on the trope: Defecting For Love. You now that trope where someone on the bad guy side switches side because they fell for a hero. Usually it's seen as a case of love redeems, but in the case of Miss Heed it's a twisted version of it because she never morally changed but just changed her image to fit in.

While deconstruction is an often misused term, I do think it's good to use it here because people don't show always the ramifications of turning to the other side. One of them is what would happen if they left the other side and had to abandoned the friends they had. And again her being selfish person she is, left behind her only friend, Flug, after stealing his formula and breaking his heart in the process. Her switch shows again it's not done out of selflessness but self-gain because she sees Flug as someone she likes but not bragging rights level like Goldheart. In other words, she wanted to be popular and loved by the greatest superhero at the expense of her friendship.

Another point to how bad this can be if someone changed to the hero side but didn't change morally is that she still keeps morals that contradict her hero status. The most obvious is her brainwashing people to do her bidding. Although at first she was brainwashing villains which people could tolerate, but then she was brainwashing heroes and people still looked away. Again showing how morally this could hinder actual heroism if they are doing villainous acts and using their own allies to do so.

Another thing that is often consider what if their object of affection doesn't return their love and they still are trying to pine a relationship with them. Many examples of defecting for love have their object of love return their feelings, but it shows mostly that Goldheart practically doesn't and it implies that Miss Heed is wasting all her time on trying to love him when he won't ever (reasons go from sexuality to just plain finding hr annoying).

And at the end of "Heedous Heart", we still see her deluded in her fantasy about Goldheart coming to get her even when it's obvious he won't. And again it shows how Miss Heed is really at her core someone who cares more about achieving the object of her affections (and the perks of heroism) without really being a heroine. She really is an example of the corrupt hero society in Villainous and how it rewards so-called defectors who really are only doing it for selfish means. At the core of it, Miss Heed wants a self-centered love based on validating herself instead of actually feeling anything deep for Goldheart which will inevitably end in tragedy when she finally figures out he will never love her and she gave up everything for nothing (especially a true romance with Flug).

Villainous Observations: Miss Heed giving Anana the Middle Finger And Her Habit of Taking Credit for Other People's Work

Miss Heed tends to make holiday themed posts on popular holidays such as Valentines Day and Halloween, so it's a little out of character for her to make a post for an obscure holiday like Community Manager Day unless it's for a "good reason."

And I theorised that the reason that Miss Heed just had to find the most obscure holiday involving community managers*,

(*Community Manager: The person responsible for building and maintaining a brand's community, both online and offline and it's public perception)

(Note: Also, I love the subtle future foreshadowing with the pineapple pen, on the bottom right, hinting that Anana is her actual community manager)

Then probably made her two assistants write down the most brag worthy things on her white board and sticky notes,

(like saying she contacts the mayor, might get a reality show, and is besties with the popular hero Omega)

And overcompensating lies to make herself look like a good person,

(like saying she feeds stray cats, consistently sends love to her followers that she had to write it down twice, and and actually cares about world peace 😂)

Then afterwards, she probably just opened up her laptop to her Instagram account to pose for a photo, faking it to make it look like she was typing and thinking "that's what my annoying community manager does right?"

All this just to rub salt in Anana's face, not giving her credit, by saying she is her own manager and independently does all of the work managing her brand on her own without anyone's help, all by herself.

And Anana, seeing this post will be like "This ungrateful spoiled bitch that I have to work for..."

But she is probably not surprised that she does this..., as she worked for her for many years since the early days of her heroine career.

I theorised that Miss Heed and Anana have an "I hate you, but I have to work with you, relationship" 😂

For Miss Heed, despite what Anana has done to build Miss Heed's brand to make her a popular heroine and help clear her name, she probably still hates Anana due to her still not meeting all of her demanding and spoilt requests, probably because it can do more harm to her brand reputation in the long run.

(For example, not allowing her to use social media until her reputation is cleared, as it might raise some questions.)

Leading to both of them having a heated argument and a yelling match as shown below.

(I wonder if Miss Heed posted that Community Manager post after an argument with Anana out of spite and petiness 😂)

For Anana, because of this she sees Miss Heed as a "spoilt, demanding and ungrateful brat" but tolerates it because it is her job and since Miss Heed's dad signs her cheques, she would listen to her father over Miss Heed any day.

And also I theorised she knows that having to deal with spoilt heroes is the price to pay for being on the "winning side" and profiting out of it which is why she formed "The Sisterhood of The UwU" Superhero fanclub when she met other women in the hero industry who share the same experience and goals, benefitting from having heroes having a good reputation, despite knowing that they are not actually good people.

Hence creating this "sisterhood" which allowed her connections to help each other by making the heroes, beneficial to each member, look good by any means possible.

Aside from this, looking back at Miss Heed's Instagram again, after Chapter 10 of The Risky Heist, now knowing she didn't do anything herself is hilarious 🤣

And seeing as how Miss Heed tends to take credit for other people's work as her own, like claiming be to her own manager and claiming Flug's formula to be her own.

I wonder if all the other stuff on her Instagram she claimed that "she's done" was also a lie. For example:

Miss Heed probably abused and harassed Omega and Coyote. Probably more people. Maybe that's an implied reason of why Omega was crying when he discovered the truth, besides the fact that he was used by someone he thought that was his friend and because he really is a sensitive person. That's really f up.

Un Au Que de alguna manera se asemeja a la Línea Omega, Un área pacifista, que Subsiste dentro de los Fragmentos restantes de un AU ya destruido, reiniciado apenas 52 veces logro encontrar la Paz.

En esta línea Ink y Error Hicieron una Tregua, que mantienen como pareja, pero así también otros grandes villanos lograron encontrar un equilibrio con sus contra partes, Este AU le da la bienvenida a aquellos que se quedaron sin su propio hogar o simplemente decidieron probar suerte en otra parte.

Los Humanos recibieron bien a los Monstruos gracias a la diplomacia y un alcalde fanático de los monstruos y lo sobre natural. Una sociedad creciente y parece de futuro brillante que da oportunidad a todos de conseguir un buen trabajo y mantener una vida relativamente pacifista.

Pero no así todos están de acuerdo, Hay una minoría que realmente esta inconforme con las nuevas visitas y el constante aumento en los monstruos, En las sombras siempre hay algo que se mueve y asecha…. Por Nightmare un ser detestable por alguna razón se mantiene Neutral en este AU, aunque todos le observan y hasta tratan mal al juzgarlo el solo sonríe y se alimenta de esos sentimientos haca el sin importarle mucho el que dirán…

así mismo en Este AU conoceremos a una Carismática chica, que NO es ni Frisk ni Chara…. Su Nombre es Arial Blackdown, que vivía su vida algo solitaria a su ritmo, solo trabajando y pasando sus días en casa viendo películas de monstruos acompañada únicamente de su gatita Persian, y sin saber un día cambio su suerte al salir del trabajo.

Rescato algo arrastrado por la corriente de la lluvia que se precipitaba. Pensando que era un gatito. Grande fue su sorpresa que este era en realidad un Pequeño esqueleto, que arremetió conta ella en instinto hiriéndole la mano derecha, este le faltaba el ojo derecho y tenia un hueco en su cráneo. Realmente ardía en temperatura y decidió llevarlo a atender, pero no había quien ayudase.

Cuido de el y cuando por fin recupero la conciencia se dio cuenta que el No recordaba nada, como secuela tal vez de los días de intensa fiebre, o tal vez la gran fractura de su cráneo, Arial le dio un nombre provisional para así poder acercarse un poco y ser más cordiales, y decidida le prometió que lo ayudaría a volver a casa. El acepto pues debido a su limitado tamaño no podría moverse seguro entre los gigantes.

Arial emocionada Prometió llevar a Jasón a Casa, sin saber que en realidad su Aventura la llevaría a un sinfín de aventuras, descubriendo el raro y vertiginoso Mundo de los Monstruos….

I Want To See Omega And Coyote's Reaction To This

I could see both wouldn't believe that the media are covering for Heed and acting like she was framed. I think it would be why Omega wouldn't join Goldheart's crusade because he feels and knows the connections between Heed and the crime sprees. Also he probably can't in good conscious openly support it due to how two faced he saw PEACE be. He won't break from PEACE, but he will be even more distrusting of them and this new revelation will even further it. Now Coyote he would be raging that she is free and PEACE is finding a way to gaslight everyone into believing this bullshit. He would be cussing up a storm and ready to fight her again so that he can get even more of his revenge against her. Overall, they won't be happy about her getting out of her deserved punishment.

Say, what do you think Goldheart and Flug's relationship is like if Flug didn't become a villain and worked as a scientist for P.E.A.C.E instead? It is like that Goldheart is a bit older by maybe three years or so and was already a hero by the time Miss Heed saw him on television. Would that mean him and Flug would have never met? Considering that Flug didn't really continue becoming super villain. How would they even meet? What do you think is gonna happen in that scenario?

P.E.A.C.E. Scientist Flug AU (featuring some PaperGold)

I theorized that since there is a villain school there would also be a hero school, my headcanon it's called P.E.A.C.E. Academy School of Heroes.

In the hero school the heroes like GoldHeart would be assigned heroic missions under the watchful eyes of their teachers and mentors and can go on solo missions or fight villains on their own as long as they hit a certain criteria or get a certificate after a stage of their training in school.

The villain school should be the same for Flug.

If Flug ended up working as a P.E.A.C.E. scientist, in the begining he would definitely do work such as invent/manufacture/improve weapons, serums to give powers, ect.

Meanwhile, GoldHeart would still be looking for a hero with super powers and/or anything that can be used to mind-control villains in order to end Villainy forever and made an announcement to give the P.E.A.C.E. heroes, scientist an opportunity to pitch their ideas and in return give a position to be a member or employed under The Golden Rule.

Flug sees this as a good opportunity to advance his career so he submits his proposal to The Golden Rule about using his thesis on altering human emotions (that he created while he was in middle school) to create a formula to end villany forever.

Shortly he was shortlisted and was scheduled to give The Golden Rule his pitch and show them a demonstration of a prototype formula for The Golden Rule.

GoldHeart has never met Flug before this, but has heard many positive things about Flug's work from the higher-ups and other heroes despite only just started working as a scientist a few months ago. As well as negative things from some heroes such as him being weirdo nerd.

When first met Flug during the day he gives his pitch to him and his team, he was absolutely smitten at the sight of the cutie.

He thought that even if Flug's pitch and formula ends up completely garbage he will de initely hit him up afterwards for a date.

Flug starts his pitch on how his formula works and afwerwards demonstration of a prototype of the formula he created with a volunteer test subject.

GoldHeart was absolutely impressed and so was The Golden Rule and decided right then and then that Flug's pitch is the the best and awards him the position as The Golden Rule scientist.

Afterwards Flug got a lab in The Golden Rule and continues to work to perfect the formula to GoldHeart's specifications. And eventually ends up dating GoldHeart not to long afterwards.

When he was asked by GoldHeart he was caught off guard:

Afterwards even though Flug was only supposed to be a scientist GoldHeart wants Flug to be a hero as well. So one day, GoldHeart asks Flug if he ever cosidered becoming a hero. Flug said he did try to apply a few times for hero training however they rejected him because he doesn't "fit the image of a hero" and because he won't get powerful superpowers if they give him the serums available after they did the tests on him.

GoldHeart responds that a lot of heroes got where there are not just because of their image or skill set but because they have connections and know someone or (or alot of times because they are rich).

And GoldHeart says he believes that Flug can become an exceptional hero. so he will vouch for him to attend hero training.

Flug was touched and agrees.

So Flug ended taking hero training while he is doing his job as a scientist. And despite Flug believing that he should complete hero training first, and learn the theories, basics and scenarios fist,

GoldHeart believes in "learning on the job" will help Flug become a hero faster and was able to convince Flug, desp te his hesitance to go heroic missions and fight crime and villains.

The Golden Rule Members aren't to thrill of Flug being a part of their team, they were already not too thrilled that their team leader dating the Flug who although has done alot to benefit and help out their team, thinks GoldHeart can do better than a nerdy weirdo who won't benefit their leader's reputation, which also might affect their reputation because they are in his team. Having Flug as a part of The Golden Rule would definitely affect their image of being the most popular, cool, and trendy hero group in P.E.A.C.E.

However GoldHeart has already made up his mind and there was no way of changing it and one death glare was able to silence any protest they have about Flug. (So they would often keep their opinions to themselves or just talk among themselves when GoldHeart was not around)

Other heros are also jealous of Flug's fast progress despite having no superpowers and not having an image of a cool hero. And some even believed he only got so far only because he was dating GoldHeart.

So Flug will have to prove to everyone his capabilities as a hero.

GoldHeart supports Flug every step of the way and is quick to vouch and defend him and silence any falsen rumors spread a out him.

He says things may be rough at the start and things will get better. And its just a matter of time before others sees how great he is as a hero just like him.

(Note: If Flug and GoldHeart were dating but did not have the capability if a hero, GoldHeart would not allow Flug to be apart of The Golden Hero, but if Flug wanted to use GoldHeart's fame and to do his own thing, such as starting his own business, he would allow it and encourage it.)

Additionally Flug never went to Black Hat Institute so Miss Heed never met Flug and was never able to steal his thesis.

Hence, she was unable to join The Golden Rule, but despite was still able to become a popular heroine at P.E.A.C.E. (but was still less popular as she foes not have Flug's mind controlling formula to get people to obsessively love her.)

How she managed to become a popular heroine is similar to Villainous: through her father's money and and connections and her agent/community manger Anana Pina helping to maintain her popularity.

During fights her father also hired strong heroes to be her sidekicks to fight and do all the work for her while she gets all the credit and recognition. Something like her dynamic with Omega and Coyote or also something like this (below):

As she does not have the mind controlling perfume she also did not apply to get powers to complement the perfume (see theory) hence in this AU, she does not have superpowers and relies on money to get ahead and often takes credit for other people's work because of her laziness.

Similar to the other heroes, Miss Heed is jealous of Flug despite being similar to her having no super powers as well as his relationship with GoldHeart thinking "THAT SHOULD BE ME!!"

And would glare seethingly at him every time she crosses paths with Flug.

Miss Heed would definitely spread false rumors mouth about him on social media if she could however there was a strict rule in P.E.A.C.E. not to bad mouth any heroes (as it would affect the organization's reputation if they do) and anyone who does so would face disciplinary action from the board (GoldHeart who would not take to kindly to anyone spreading false rumors about his boyfriend), hence she results to complaining and bad mouthing Flug to other heroes and the people in her circle such as her sidekicks, assistants, agent and her hero "friends".

And other methods:

She spends most of the time competing against Flug in everything and tries GoldHeart's attention so that she can prove that she is better than him (most as petty things like merch sales, chocolate bar sales, brand sponsors who can sign the most autographs, get the most likes in one post, modeling, building a sand castle, get more people to arrive at their birthday party, or during team challenges in P.E.A.C.E. hero retreats/company bonding activities, ect) and more fit to be a member of The Golden Rule and GoldHeart's lover than Flug.

(Such as loudly praising her own accomplishments and awards in front of a large crowd in front of Flug or saying how much nicer her costume is at a party)

Flug finds the whole thing rather annoying and dreads the interaction and tries to ignore her baiting but sometimes would agree to her competition due to her utter persistence wearing him down.

GoldHeart is annoyed and angry and would often ignore her and/or yells and threatened her during her attempts at getting his attention or saying anything bad about her boyfriend making her feel utterly humiliated and embarrassed that her crush hates her so much.

And would also cheer on his boyfriend in his competition and would lavish him with praise and affection every time he wins or loses. (He wins most of the time)

Making Miss Heed even more jealous, angry and frustrated at Flug's relationship with GoldHeart. And even screaming and throwing a hysterical tantrum.

Ironically her obsession of beating Flug ended up making her lose her popularity as she starts to prioritise beating Flug over her own reputation which Flug always beats her in the competition when he indulges her at times and nearly all the attempts lead to utter humiliation and make her look more desperate and/or to embarrass herself.

Along the way Miss Heed's crazy obsession with Flug will make her develop some feelings for Flug leading her to kiss him at the heat of the moment during one of their competitions. This caused Flug to be shocked and GoldHeart to punch Miss Heed in the face for kissing his boyfriend.
