The Day of the Doctor novelization is one of the most wonderful and unhinged things Steven Moffat has ever written. I love he could have done just the typical boring word-for-word novelization typical for movies and TV shows but instead he went and experimented with POV changes, added scenes, added witty commentary ala 'I'm actually transcribing this' and really tried to go deeper than the episode now that he had the medium to do it.

And he also added more trauma to the Eleventh Doctor, because why not? 😂
