Season three was the worst creatively. Season 1 and 2 had some gorgeous shots and reactions from the cast (my fav is five in the apocalypse and five in the barn dying before he turns back time. Bonus is Diego’s shot as he realises in season 2 his dad wasn’t on the grassy knoll).
Season 3, it was like they just put a camera before the cast and filmed. It felt rushed and not great, no memorable shots or scenes like season one or two. I hope they fix this season four and are taking on the feedback before they submit the final written script!
BUT, Kudos to Robert Sheehan for his final death scene in the hotel. It might have been the only great cinematic shot in season 3!
That was misplaced. He was annoying for sure but he barely did anything. The only bad thing I remember him actually doing was locking up Victor
Mostly Luther is just confused and dumb but has grown to be lovable
Now Miss Allison on the other hand
Has suffered no more than any of her other siblings. In fact most of her problems were because of her own bad decisions
And she’s like okay murder an innocent and SA
No. Immediate no. She’s been selfish and entitled this entire show but now she’s a bad person too. Trauma doesn’t give you a free pass to be abusive and shitty
(She was a manipulative mother. Does manipulation and controlling make her abusive or just a bad mom. I believe she did/does care about Claire but you can love someone all you want and still not be a good person)
Don’t know what the plan is for season 4 but I need either Ray or Claire to do. I mean technically Allison took Claire from Patrick who was just being a good dad.
in Season 1 we had BOTH Luther and Viktor messing up, in S2 we got Di with his Kennedy shit and Ben being a bit of an a-hole, and now we got Allison being *sigh* how she was and Five demanding to take a retirement (for no matter how short it was) and not wanting to do anything (not that i blame him honestly)
if we don’t get a dark/ angry/ powerful/ feral Klaus in the next and FINAL season, im going to riot
at this point we’ve gotten EVERY sibling to have a small villain and redemption arc (maybe minus the redemption for allison) except for klaus,, all we’ve gotten is suffering -and don’t get me started on his upgrades so far not hinting at his telekinesis bc that’s what (spoiler alert) SAVED the fricking world in the comics so like how are they not even a LITTLE thing here
all im asking for is for klaus to have ONE MOMENT to tell the others just how much he suffered his entire life without addressing ANY of his traumas like his siblings had bc he’s STILL getting overlooked despite everyone else’s actions being excused at this point
Viktor and Allison have had mirroring arcs for the whole show (Vik S1 mirrors Allison S3 and vice versa, and both S2) but yall aren't ready for that conversation
I can’t explain it, but these characters give me similar vibes from the first seasons they both appeared in (Jason: stranger things season 4 and Luther (number 1): umbrella academy season 1)
I feel it is mainly because of their reactions to these two characters.
The social outcasts, Eddie and Vanya, which were both basically sought after once others thought they were evil, crazy, uncontrollable people that could resort to murder, when in reality both have sweet and adorable personalities and are entirely misunderstood (Eddie: stranger things season 4 and Vanya: umbrella academy season 1).
All of this in mind, I do think that Jason is worse than Luther. Luther does get better in season 2. Also, spoiler, Vanya does and up destroying the world after Luther takes his action as a shitty brother (in my opinion). Not a perfect comparison, just wanted to write this down for some reason 🤷
