Thermopolium Set [Ancient Roman Theme]
This is a set containing 26 pieces. So you can build you own Thermopolium Corner.
The food counter is functional and your Sim can grab 10 different ancient roman dishes or 4 different drinks.
You can tend the counter, directly grab food or hire a vendor.
The set also includes functional grill, sink, table, chair, shelves and a lot of decorative objects in the ancient roman style, so you can customize your perfect Thermopolium/Tavern.
There are two items converted from The Sims Medieval and retextured by me (rice sack, now flour sack, and barrel with sausages).
MORE PHOTOS AND DOWNLOAD INFO UNDER THE CUT
This is part 1 of 3 dedicated to Ancient Roman Theme.
(Part 2 coming in April will include Kitchen Set plus Roman Scrolls with custom roman recipes and Part 3 coming in May will cover Wine Making and building vineyard and Winery).
If you like history, you can check out the origin of fast food in Ancient Pompeii (the video that inspired me to make this set and the whole thematic CC project) right here.
P.S. If you want to make sure NPC Sims would actually order food from the thermopolium, I would recommend installing Insimnia's Let's Eat trait lot.

hot take, but I will never understand people who play the Sims and just make normal suburban families living in normal suburban houses. This game has vampires and werewolves and wizards and mermaids and unicorns and aliens and every kind of building tool you could possibly imagine, and CC creators and modders have made so much more insane shit, and you’re just using all this stuff to make normal human families living normal lives????? My main save has a historically accurate Ancient Roman noble house living right next door to a family of alien pop singers, and they’re both feuding with the entire cast of Dracula. Taylor Swift is there and she got MCCC-married to Dido (not the singer, the mythical queen of Carthage.) Bella Goth is dating Captain America, who is also a wizard. It’s chaos

Chapter 61: The lex Figulus
By mid-June, it was obvious to all of Rome that something was amiss when it came to the upcoming consular elections. The three front-runners were, as expected, Catalina, Hybrida and Cicero, but it was clear that the bribery agents were particularly active.
Seeing this, the senior consul, Marcius Figulus, was prevailed on to introduce a new law against electoral malpractice. While it was already illegal for candidates to offer bribes, the lex Figula would also make it illegal to accept one.
When it was time for the law to be debated in the senate, the senior consul began by asking the candidates themselves to speak first.
Hybrida and Catalina, unsurprisingly, spoke softly against the law, saying that bribery had been part of the electoral process – and thus the mos maioram (or ancestral custom) of Rome – for generations. Yet neither could speak too strongly against it, lest they drew closer attention to their own actions.
When it was time for Cicero to speak, he rose slowly and waited for the room to still. It was a delicate subject, of course. Since most of Cicero’s support was among the common people, most of whom enjoyed the additional money selling a vote now and then would provide them, and the knights, whose membership included a majority of Rome’s bribery agents, he would have to tread lightly.
“Conscript fathers,” he said. “In general, I welcome this bill, for it can only be a terror to those who are guilty. The honest citizen has nothing to fear from a law against bribery, whereas the guilty should be reminded that a vote is a sacred trust – not a voucher to be cashed in once a year.”
Titters of laughter filled the room.
“But in reviewing the legislation, I must point out that there is one … imbalance, perhaps, is the right word … that should be corrected before the bill is put to a vote. The law, in its present form, says that the poor man who succumbs to temptation is more to be condemned than the rich man who has deliberately placed that temptation before him! I say the opposite is true.”
He turned to Marcius Figulus, the presiding consul.
“With your permission, therefore, I would like to propose an amendment: that any man who solicits – or, through action, causes to be solicited – any vote in exchange for money should be liable to a penalty of ten years in exile.”
Since the senate doors were closed for this session, I could not see Crassus’ face, but later on, Cicero described him as having assumed such a shade of red that one would think him wearing a woman’s rouge – especially when Cicero used the term “or, through action, causes to be solicited.” For this, of course, was exactly his role in the current election.
The consul, nodding, placidly accepted the amendment and called for a vote.
Quickly, the bill was passed by a large margin, and Figulus stepped out to the rostra to give it a first reading before the people’s assembly. Now the usual three weekly market days would have to pass before a final vote – meaning that the people would have the ultimate say almost immediately before the consular election.
Of course, Cicero received many congratulations from various passing senators for his wise and quite proper amendment – though not from the boni, who, as usual, stormed past him with sour expressions and dirty looks.
Yet none were quite as hateful as Crassus himself, who stared daggers through Cicero’s heart as he stormed out of the forum.

4t2 conversion of mammut's early civilisation living [download - sfs]
another test of time-oriented download! this would be mammut's early civ living for the sims 4, converted to the sims 2. it works best for the roman era, i think, but you can use it in other eras and it would probably fit in as well 😊
everything has been compressed and there are 4 items in total. to reduce the amount of files, the coffeetable is repo'd to the bench. hope you guys find uses for these in your game! ♥
credits
mammut for the original ts4 creations
ea/maxis for certain meshes
items included
bench - 614 polys
coffee table - 398 polys
ancient bookcase - 214 polys
papyrus plant - 868 polys
if there are any issues, do let me know! happy simming 💓

Will you one day make roman era clothing? I’ve had trouble finding good ones and I like how the majority of your cc looks!!! ❤️ One of my fav historical cc creators
Hello there Nonny! I promise I'm not ignoring you, I've just been wondering how to answer your message for a good week😅. If you want me to keep it concise, I think the best answer I can give is: I can't promise anything, but it's very likely, though probably it'll be just a couple of things (think my current iron age Celts spree) and not a full-blown immersion in the era (like in case of my older Victorian stuff).
The not concise answer, a.k.a. what went on in my head when I read your question, sounds more like: oh no no no, I won't, no way, there's no time, I already have no time for playing because of all the writing, if I start making my own cc for the next era I'll never finish even the first one, there's enough Roman cc out there, I wanted to just roll with whatever I find and not overcomplicate my own life for once - oh, but tbh some pieces are severely missing, and I am already planning to make some things, even if small, plus look at all those Celtic things I've already made or am in the process of making, look how well 'I'm not making anything' worked, what was the point of resisting all those capes smh - crap, let's be real, I will make some Roman stuff at some point, won't I...?
Back to the real world and out of my confused head... I'm definitely planning to make my own edits and recolours of certain princess Aurora wraps/headscarves (could be very useful for romanising all the outfits which are kind-of-Roman-but-not-quite). I also had a go at a pair of Roman earrings and if this experiment ends well (which I think it will - I'm still struggling to find the right lighting setup for Blender, but once I've found it, I can bake the texture and they should be done!), I'd love to delve deeper into the world of ancient jewellery, as it's both something I've never done before and something pretty much non-existent in TS4. If there is any other, specific piece that you'd like to see made, feel free to leave your suggestion(s) in the comments! 'You' meaning you Nonny or anyone else who has any desperate Roman needs 😉
Oh - and thank you for the kind words! I'm so happy you like my work, that's always super motivating to hear 💗

Jinx
Jynx is a girl’s name of Latin origin. This witchy name derives from the Latin word iynx (also spelled jynx), which was used to refer to the wryneck bird, often associated with sorcery. The bird was used in spellcasting, and was believed by the ancient Greeks and Romans to have originated with a sorceress named Iynx. This sorcereress was believed to have been turned into the bird as punishment for casting a spell on the god Zeus. Since then, the word (more commonly spelled “jinx”) has become associated with spells or curses causing bad luck. For example, someone may not wish to say that their job interview went well for fear of “jinxing it,” or attracting bad luck. If you choose this magical name for baby, you can be sure nobody will want to mess with them! It's her wedding day and every goth gal needs a black and red weeding dress. With a matching gold crown and red veil sitting on top of her reddish hair. She is wearig a ruby chocker. DON"T forget her meshes or she won't show up correctly.

And in the blink of an eye our two boys age up, Vergil into a child and our heir, Vivaan into a young adult, shifting us over to the wonderful~~ Medieval times!
I know this gen went by flying and I didn't take many photos of it but it was one wild ride, even if I have a feeling Medieval times will be even wilder 🤭

Who is ready for some proper Ancient Roman Fast Food place?
Keep your eyes open next week for some roman thermopolium content 👀
I'm very excited about this project because it's massive and it will be spread from now until May. So expect more and different types of Ancient Roman CC, food, and functional objects in this period!

Cooking Scrolls [Ancient Roman Theme]
These cooking scrolls work like my Keto Cookbook and can be found unde the small appliances category. You can make 19 different types of Ancient Roman dishes through them.
Each dish requires different cooking level, there are also 4 grand dishes that require gourmet skill.
3 of the meshes for the dishes were conversions of TSM dishes.
All dishes can be cooked off-the-grid.
From the Cooking Scrolls, you can also execute two extra interactions (Buy Ingredients or Go Hunting).
You can buy 26 different ingredients (mostly different types of chopped meat, I went slightly overboeard because in my personal game I built Butcher Shoppe for my Sims to go and buy).
Go hunting will send your Sim in a rabbit hole for 1-2 hours, their hyagene and energy will decrease, but their fun will increase and they'll develop fitness skill. There are 7 different types of carcass they can come home with (boar, rabbit, lamb, goose, duck, phesant or chicken). All ingredients (from buy and hunting) have EA and Srsly tags, so you can use them as ingredients in other recipes as well, by other creators or in EA recipes.
This is part 2 of 3 dedicated to Ancient Roman Theme.
(You can check part 1 dedicated to Roman fast food taverns HERE, Part 3 is coming in May will cover Wine Making and building vineyard and Winery).
