De-aged Keigo
Part two!
.
The whole League stared as Dabi stepped through the villa's front door, his arms protectively wrapped around his cargo.
"What have you got there, Dabi?" Compress asked.
"The hell does it look like?" Dabi snapped back, tightening his arm around the bedraggled, winged boy in his arms as he stomped the snow off his boots, "It's Hawks."
"Uh… Hawks is a grown man, bro!" Twice pointed out.
"Thanks, Sherlock, I didn't realize." Dabi stopped just inside the living room, keeping his distance from the others, "He got hit by a de-aging Quirk while we were out. It's not going to last forever, but for the moment our little birdie is three years old." He looked down at the boy in his arms, his heart twinging.
Hawks was clinging to him like he was terrified of being put down, his face buried in Dabi's collar and clawed hands fisted in the back of his jacket. Even now that they were inside, the pitiful thing was shivering violently. Although his eyes were closed, his whole body was tense, alert; he was pretending to sleep, and Dabi assumed it was to avoid having to meet the others.
He couldn't say he blamed him; it had been difficult to get him to trust him when the Quirk first hit him, an hour or so ago. Hawks had panicked and ran away from him, only to faint once he got outside, from- as far as Dabi could figure out- a mix of hunger and the cold. Dabi had picked him up from there, and spent the whole walk back reassuring him that he was a friend. When he mentioned getting Hawks some food, the kid had finally seemed to give up struggling.
Good to know his younger self was as much of a glutton as his adult self, Dabi had mused. Now, he strode past everyone and made for the kitchen, shouldering the door open.
"Wait, where are you going? I wanna see him!" Toga cried, and Dabi felt Hawks flinch.
"Keep your voice down and your hands to yourself." He snapped over his shoulder, "I'm getting him some food. If you want to be useful, go get me some warm clothes he can wear."
He ignored Toga's grumbling as he slipped into the kitchen, kicking the door shut behind him. "Hey, little bird." He spoke softly as he looked down at his armload, "We're alone now, you can stop faking. I'm going to put you down, okay?" That said, he stepped up to the counter and gently lowered Hawks onto it, until his rump hit the granite countertop. He tried to move away, but Hawks held fast, letting out a shaky whimper.
"Cold-" He gasped, gilded eyes flying open in panic.
For some reason, Dabi couldn't stop himself from immediately pulling him back into his arms. "Alright, alright." He sighed as Hawks melted against him again. He… supposed he could make something to eat like this. He adjusted Hawks onto his hip and went to the pantry to see what they had. "How does ramen sound?" He asked.
Hawks didn't answer, but Dabi pulled two of the instant cups out and put them on the counter. He had to tear the top off with his teeth, but it was easy to turn the sink on and stick the cup under it to fill it. He stuck the cup in the microwave and stepped back, leaning on the counter to wait.
"You okay, birdie?" He asked, glancing down into the fluffy head of hair on his shoulder.
Hawks made a sad warbling sound, his wings fluffing and settling. "I'm okay." He mumbled, just as his stomach growled loudly.
"Uh-huh. Just hang on, food's cooking." Dabi promised, glancing up as he heard the door open. Twice, Spinner, and Toga were peering at them through a crack in the door. Dabi bared his teeth at them, but the numbskulls didn't seem to get the clear "fuck off" message.
"Hiii, Hawksie!" Toga cooed. Hawks turned his head to peer at her, his hand fisting on Dabi's shoulder. He didn't answer her, but Dabi didn't step in, waiting to see what he'd do.
"Oh… he's precious! I wanna eat him!" Twice gasped.
Hawks whimpered at that, his wings bushing and curling around him. "No one is eating you, birdie." Dabi assured him, just as the microwave went off. He stood up and pulled the cup out before grabbing a fork and stirring it. He tore the flavor packet open, once again with his teeth, and added it before giving it another stir. "Okay, here, bug. Eat." He pushed the cup into his hand before adjusting his grip on him.
"How come you get to hold him?" Twice complained.
"Because I'm not creeping on him while he's trying to eat." Dabi huffed.
"Dabi's warm." Hawks mumbled into his noodles, surprising Dabi and the others.
"Exactly." Dabi said smugly, "You lot scram, let the kid eat in peace." He walked over to the door and forced it shut with his boot, ignoring their complaints as he looked down at Hawks. "Enjoying your noodles, birdie?"
"Mhm." Hawks gulped up a mouthful, before twirling another portion onto his fork and holding it up, offering it to Dabi.
Dabi dutifully leaned in and took the bite, slurping the noodles into his mouth loudly.
To Dabi's amazement, Hawks giggled, before seeming startled by his own action. He fluffed his wings and looked away, like he was embarrassed, but Dabi watched him as he took another bite of noodles and 𝘴𝘭𝘶𝘶𝘶𝘳𝘱𝘦𝘥 them up, too.
After a few more bites, he glanced at Dabi again. "Who are they?" He asked.
"Who?"
"The girl, and the man in the mask, and the turtle?"
"He's a lizard." Dabi corrected.
"Are they your friends?"
"Uh… in a sense." He wasn't about to tell a kid they were a bunch of villains, now was he? "What about you? You got any friends?"
Hawks didn't answer right away, raising the cup and gulping down the broth. Dabi just waited, moving to open and prep the other instant cup. He had filled it with water and jammed it in the microwave by the time Hawks finished.
"I have one." He said at last.
His doll, Dabi guessed; he'd seen the ragged, old thing one of the times they'd spent the night at his apartment. He'd made his distaste for the thing a little too obvious, so Hawks had shoved into his closet and apologized, explaining that it was just sentimental.
"Yeah? What's their name?" He asked, anyways.
Hawks cooed, before the noise morphed into a yawn. His wings arched and quivered as his mouth stretched wide. He slumped back onto Dabi's shoulder, scrubbing at suddenly sleepy eyes. Dabi was taking the empty cup away when he spoke. "His name is Touya. He's warm, like you." He mumbled.
Dabi froze, the cup incinerating in his hand in seconds as the fork fell to the floor with a ringing clatter. "Touya, huh?" He repeated weakly, before he swallowed. He didn't think that Hawks- that Keigo- had remembered him at all. "Is he a good friend?"
"Mhm." Keigo hummed as the microwave went off, "I think I love him."
Touya thought he forgot how to breathe, his mind flashing through unwanted memories, both ancient and recent. "Well… I'm sure he loves you, too."
End.
A/N: Thank you for reading! I love childhood friends AUs. ^w^ There's a part 2 to this that I'll upload tomorrow, but until then, consider leaving me a tip so I can get my name changed!

Doodle Pants// Dabihawks childhood au featuring. Mama Rei
Every day, Touya came home with his uniform an absolute mess. Shirt untucked and wrinkled, pant legs dirty up to the knees and ripped, and the sweater missing for the third time in a row that month. Touya’s disheveled appearance was usually followed by a phone call from his teacher about another fight he got into with one of his classmates, which earned him a scolding from his father.
Every day, Rei would remind her oldest son that if he wanted to avoid his father’s anger, he should stop getting into fights and be more careful when playing outside, but every day was more or less the same and the calls started to come even before Touya did, and despite every parent-teacher conference, every trip to apologize to the parents of the child that got the shit kicked out of them, every parenting book, bribery – Touya still came home a mess and with another pink slip in his hand to give to his parents.
That was until one day.
Rei had already felt that something was missing from her daily routine until she heard the front door pop open and Touya announced his arrival.
“I’m home!”
Rei took a breath, bracing herself for whatever state her son had come home in and the inevitable demerit that came with it. She floated from the kitchen to the front room, a gentle smile playing across her face.
“Welcome home, Touya–”
She stopped, brows arching in surprise.
Touya had an ear-to-ear grin stretched across his face. The only thing in his hands were the straps of his book bag, but that wasn’t what caught Rei off guard. Touya’s uniform was covered from collar to cuff with multi-colored pen doodles. They were shaky and ranged from flowers to what she could only assume were clouds and stars.
She stifled a giggle. “Well, you sure are colorful today!”
“Yup,” Touya replied, already starting to head for the kitchen.
“Can I ask what the occasion is?”
Touya stopped. He turned his head to glance at his mom and he shrugged. “Was just bored.”
He turned his head back around and walked right into the kitchen, the conversation clearly being over on Touya’s end.
Rei didn’t receive a phone call that day.
From that day on, Touya came home covered in doodles. Enji still wasn’t happy about the overall state of most of his clothes, but Rei reminded him that it was better to power wash them every few days rather than buy him an entire new wardrobe like they used to do. The calls became few and far between, the pink slips disappeared into thin air, and Touya had an overall happier demeanor when he came back from school in the afternoon.
Rei was glad that her son – and by extension, his father – was seemingly in better spirits, though she couldn’t help but wonder who was really drawing Touya every day. Her son was no contortionist. His arms could not reach behind his back far enough for the doodles around his shoulder blades and the center of his back.
The doodles were also quite shaky– shakier than Touya's own handwriting. But Touya remained tight-lipped on the true culprit for the longest time. Rei thought it best to just leave it alone. He was improving and happier and that’s all that mattered.
。・゚゚・  ・゚゚・。
Touya brought Keigo home on a Friday afternoon. He was a small boy for his age - especially with those big red wings of his. He seemed quiet too, letting Touya do most of the talking when he introduced him.
“He’s my friend,” Touya said, clipped and matter-of-factly, “From school.”
“N-Nice to meet you,” Keigo mumbled, looking down at his hole-covered shoes.
He definitely was not a friend from school. Not his school, at least. Rei knew all the kids in Touya’s class given the numerous altercations he had with them.
Keigo was nowhere in that catalog.
Rei simply offered him a warm smile, “It’s nice to meet you too, Keigo.”
“We can play in my room,” Touya grabbed his little hand and tried pulling him down the opposite hallway, “C’mon-”
“Touya!” Rei called, “Don’t you have homework to do?”
Touya pouted, rolling his eyes. “Mooooomm…”
“You and Keigo can play after you finish. If you want, I can make you snacks.”
Keigo’s golden eyes brightened, leaving Touya no choice but to relent.
They all headed into the kitchen. The boys sat at the kitchen table while Rei fixed a fruit platter for them. She listened as Touya explained everything he was doing to Keigo, who looked on in curiosity. It was about a minute or two into his explanation of his book report that she saw it:
Keigo reached into Touya’s pencil bag, pulled out a blue ballpoint pen, and began drawing small flowers along Touya’s shirt collar. He still listened - the shine of interest remained - but he started to draw along the hem of his shirt sleeves while Touya seemed completely unbothered, if a bit pink in the cheeks. He picked out more pens and drew more little doodles on any free space he could find on Touya’s shirt.
Rei felt her heart swell. She wanted to just leave them be and enjoy their moment together, but Keigo needed to eat and given how small he was, he hadn’t been doing a lot of it. She walked over and carefully set down the plate of fruit in front of them. Keigo immediately pulled away, looking down at his hands.
“Eat as much as you want,” she said, though it was more directed at the red winged boy than Touya.
“Thanks mom!”
She tilted her head to the side, “Is Keigo going to be staying for dinner?”
Touya looked up from his work and turned to Keigo, “I dunno, can you?”
Keigo’s face fell into a frown and he slowly shook his head.
“That’s alright,” Rei said, “I’ll be sure to send you home with something. As a gift.”
Keigo nodded, still not meeting her eyes. “Thank you…”
Rei left shortly after, hearing Touya trying to start up a conversation with his feathered friend with an excitement Rei had never heard from her son that didn’t involve trying to train with his father. It was new and untethered, almost like a breath of fresh air after being suffocated by smog.
Touya was happy - really happy.
Rei started down the hallway to Enji’s home office. She gathered an armful of highlighters, pens, and the few markers in his drawers.
She sent Keigo home with them and a sizable tupperware of food that night.
(This was a lot more Rei centered than I initially thougt it would be. Still a little wonky but I'm still trying to get back into the grove of things. Thanks to everyone who voted on the poll! Will probably make another one soon).

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It had been a year since Prince Toya Todoroki had run away with his stableboy, and the two had made a name for themselves in Queen Kayama’s kingdom…or “The Midnight” as it was called by its people. It was labeled as an unruly land by the traditional realms, a place full of lawlessness and immorality. However, on the inside, it was quite the contrary. Queen Kayama ruled with a leather-gloved fist, promising peace and prosperity for all as long as they didn’t do harm to another…nonconsensually. Many forms of love were accepted under Kayama’s rule, it wasn’t limited to the age-old expectations. Princes could wed peasants…or other princes. There were also protections for those of magical descent or cursed lines…which was the main reason why Toya and Keigo ran away together to this land. The eldest Todoroki heir, cursed with dragon’s blood, and a member of the Takami Siren tribe who had given up his wings for love. This is their second spring together…and if it was anything like the last spring…they may have to hibernate. Keigo was insatiable. Spring was when his Siren instincts acted up…his carnal, feral instincts and bloodlust…and his mating season. Truth be told, Toya sometimes had trouble keeping up.
It’s the first day of spring, and Toya and Keigo are snuggled up beneath the covers of their bed in their quaint cottage in the woods. Toya’s blissfully asleep, but, as soon as the sun rises, Keigo’s eyes flash open. His biorhythms sync with the change…and…suddenly, Toya’s scent next to him is irresistible . The faint undertone of draconic musk mixed with herbal sage invades his senses, and his pupils dilate. One thought forms in Keigo’s mind.
Breed.
Keigo carefully pulls back the covers, taking in every inch of his lover’s body. They’d both slept in the nude last night, and Toya’s body heat feels so right just radiating that part of Keigo wants to latch onto him like a leech, clinging desperately to his skin. His eyes gloss over the obsidian patches of dragon scales that sweep across his chest and up his cheekbones. Since they ran away, Toya had stopped scratching them off and just let them grow. Keigo flexes his hands, keeping his talons retracted by his sheer will as he delicately presses his hands over the scales on Toya’s chest. He lowers down, pressing his lips onto Toya’s neck, and his eyes roll back into his head when he tastes his skin. He keeps kissing him, slow and sensual, tongue gliding, until Toya finally stirs with fluttering eyelids.
“Mmmmorning~,” Toya half-yawns-half-groans as his hands run through Keigo’s blonde locks, but the Siren doesn’t stop. He sinks his teeth into the dragon prince’s flesh, biting down hard enough for Toya to feel it…and then…he suddenly latches down. Toya yelps, eyes widening and tears pricking at the edges of his eyes as the sharp pain throbs and Keigo presses his fangs in until he draws blood.
“Ah…Kei…easy,” Toya mutters, wincing. Keigo sometimes got really aggressive during sex when he let his instincts take over, and he’d mostly gotten used to it. Toya still couldn’t decide how much he liked it.
“Mmmm mine ,” Keigo growls, licking the bleeding fang indentations, and the word sends shivers down Toya’s spine. “My beautiful mate,” The Siren chirps, lips dragging across his lover’s skin like his life depends on it.
“Is it spring already?” Toya chuckles, taking note of the way Keigo speaks to him, but his words are quickly silenced by a deep, desperate kiss. The white-haired man moans, eyelids closing shut as his tongue intertwines with his lover’s; the kiss is overwhelmingly possessive, and one kiss soon turns into what feels like a thousand. Keigo just keeps kissing him until Toya loses count, lips sloppily colliding, tongue tracing the inside of Toya’s mouth, fangs gently pulling at his lip. For whatever reason, Keigo calmed the dragon within Toya. He never changed when Keigo was dominant during sex…though sometimes when he took control, he got carried away and smoke would start curling out of his mouth. But right now, Toya has no desire for control or power or greed. He was vulnerable with Keigo…and he loved it.
“Want you,” Keigo’s breath is hot and heavy in Toya’s ear as he pulls back from the kiss.
His hands find their way to Toya’s stomach, palms tracing against his thinned abs.
“ Need…need to… have to…” Keigo snarls, voice sounding far away and trance-like. His pupils are slits now, and Toya gulps. He knows what he’s thinking. Spring was mating season…and last spring, Keigo seemed to be instinctually obsessed with the idea of breeding. Must be a Siren thing.
“So gorgeous,” Keigo grumbles as he bends down and licks up his abs. “Could fit so much in you.”
The animalistic stare he’s giving Toya makes his heart skip. He looms over Toya, hands touching him everywhere, gripping at his skin, rubbing circles over the patches of black scales. The dragon prince’s eyes widen when he sees how hard his lover is. Keigo won’t even need to get the olive oil for his cock…the Siren is gushing rivers of precum…he’s glistening with it. They lock eyes, and something inside Keigo snaps .
Without warning, he grabs Toya, roughly flipping him over so he’s on his stomach before grabbing his thighs, pulling him toward him. Toya barely has enough time to react before he feels the hot tip against his hole.
“Gonna breed you, baby,” Keigo sighs, clawed fingernails gently pressing into Toya’s thighs as he slowly and effortlessly slips his length inside. Toya moans like a bitch in heat, clenching around his lover; he half-expected it to be painful without proper prep, but there’s so much natural lubrication from Keigo’s cock that all he feels is the stretch.
“ Mmmmmm~ so good inside, baby. You’re so perfect…you were fucking made for me,” Keigo praises lewdly in Toya’s ear, making him shiver. His hands travel up his thighs, tracing the side of his ass before he slides them up Toya’s back, memorizing the texture of his skin as he starts to rock his hips back and forth. A low, warbling rumble echoes in the Siren’s throat as he starts indulging in the pleasure, and Toya pants, tongue lolling as his body is jolted back and forth.
“ Keigo ~,” Toya whimpers, voice quivering as he grasps at the sheets, trying to stop himself from sinking into the pillow and just letting Takami fuck him face-down ass-up. His arms and legs are shaking, partially from how he’s still not fully awake, partially from how intensely his lover is rutting up into his guts.
“Ah…ah… ah !” He wails as Keigo grips his shoulders and rocks his hips at a brutal pace, deep and deliberate…and getting faster by the second. He can feel Keigo’s girth pulsing with every thrust, on the verge of cumming as he chases the pleasure.
“I’m gonna pump you so full, baby,” Keigo stammers, his voice hitching with every fluid motion as he pants hard, sweat dripping down their bodies with every collision.
“Oh, Gods, Kei ~!” Toya moans loudly, cock throbbing between his legs and leaking onto the sheets as he hears Keigo stuttering behind him. He’s close… both of them are close. Keigo cracks first with an inhuman gasp.
Toya shudders when he feels the warmth spurting inside him, and goosebumps prickle his skin when he realizes it's still going. During mating season, Keigo’s body was different . It operated differently. It was as if he had rivers and rivers to give, unending, no refractory period…the only thing stopping him was forced exhaustion after his balls were milked dry…or rather, once they stopped refilling.
There’s so much of it that Toya can feel it in his belly, moaning at the feeling as his stomach slightly distends.
“So fucking beautiful,” Keigo growls, his voice a gravelly rasp as he reaches around, placing one of his palms on the subtle swell of his lover's belly. Toya groans at the sensation, relishing in the warmth pooling in his body and sloshing with every motion. Keigo’s still huffing, cumming his brains out as he rocks his hips, pouring into the dragon prince. Toya whimpers, cock leaking on their mattress, and Keigo’s hand gently travels below the bulge of his stomach that’s slowly growing, wrapping around the base of his shaft.
Toya loses his composure, falling down on his elbows, forehead pressing into the pillow as he starts to drool from panting so hard. Keigo’s name drips from his lips like a waterfall, relentless and thundering. Finally, his orgasm catches up to him, and his reddened cock spills all over Keigo’s hand.
On a dime, Keigo pulls out, flipping Toya over on his back before slipping inside him once again, making Toya whine. He peers down at his lover beneath him, sweaty and blissed out, bloated with cum.
“If only I could actually knock you up,” He sighs, gently massaging the tight stretch of skin.
“Our kids would look so fucked up. Dragon-Siren-Human? God, what a nightmare,” Toya teases, his voice hitching on a moan when Keigo pats his belly, sending shockwaves through his lower half.
“I’m sure they’d be fine…not sure I could deal with you being even crankier pregnant though. You’d have to probably pass the eggs in your dragon form,” Keigo murmurs absentmindedly, as if fantasizing about the possibility. Toya’s eyes narrow.
“Pass them through what? Can’t lay eggs through a cock,” He retorts, rolling his eyes, and Keigo sighs, still staring at Toya’s stomach in a way that makes the dragon prince feel violated and causes blood to rush to his cheeks.
“A-are you tapping out?” Toya stammers, hole achingly tight around the Siren’s pulsing cock.
“Maybe…don’t wanna pull out. You look so gorgeous like this,” Keigo croons, stroking the swell and jostling the cum inside. “Wanna keep you plugged up for a little while.”
“And how long is that?” Toya croaks, his mouth dry. Keigo simply stares.
“Until you wanna leave the bed.”
🏷️ Baby Keigo, Touya & Tenko, hinted #toukei #dabihawks, fluff, they get adopted together. Lowkey inspired by RowanLewis' thread on twt, but it's actually just me screaming in @electrozookie's chat about my need to adopt and protect them in spite of my distaste for real kids 🤣
- - -
They're such different kids. Touya would be a freaking handful (but just bc he’s way smarter and cleverer than his other pairs back at his old nursery); Tenko’s an angel and Keigo’s super quiet. I’d just spoil the hell out of Touya, play a lot with Tenko and cuddle Keigo every moment I’m awake or asleep.
I pictured a jealous baby Touya always stepping in between the caregiver and Tenko or Keigo, especially “bullying” Keigo bc he’s always curled up in the cg’s arms. Actually he’s just curious and keeps asking him questions. Keigo is shy and prefers keeping to himself, but slowly, little by little he opens up a bit 🥺
Tenko and Touya would play heroes and Tenko, bless his soul, would turn to Keigo with the biggest and most encouraging smile, inviting him to join them with a stretched hand. Keigo is shocked, stills like a doe in front of a pair of car lights as his big, golden eyes zoom from Tenko, to his cg, to Touya, to Tenko, to Touya again, like silently asking him if it’s okay to join them. Touya returns his gaze, his head slightly turned, cheeks puffed and red, arms crossed over his chest as he nods.
Keigo then buckles up and takes some tentative steps towards them, unused to walking; Tenko immediately holds his hand when he reaches them, but Keigo only has eyes for Touya’s grumpy face. Quietly, his expression open and innocent, he extends a small hand towards Touya for him to take it too, and Touya’s face goes all red but doesn’t deny him. He holds his hand, still not looking at him until he does, and almost combusts when he sees the tiny, sincere smile on Keigo’s face.
I love them so much ç_ç
De-aged Keigo, part two
Part one here!
.
The Quirk didn't wear off until some point near midnight. Fortunately, Hawks- Keigo- slept through most of it. He stubbornly refused to let Dabi put him down, clinging to the arsonist like he was a giant teddy bear.
Which, to be frank, was fine with Dabi; he wasn't sure he could let go of Keigo if he wanted to.
He ended up in the recliner, the footrest kicked up and back laid down, so that he could be partially horizontal as the tiny, winged boy slept on his chest. Compress had been nice enough to throw a blanket over them, and Spinner put on one of his more kid-appropriate animes for background noise.
But while Keigo slept, gentle, cooing snores rolling in his chest, Dabi laid awake, thinking.
Keigo remembered Touya; that made sense, he supposed. He'd reverted to his child self, so he'd have his child memories. Sure.
And Dabi remembered Keigo; as much as he'd tried to bury those memories next to Touya, the day that Hawks had approached him and asked to join the League… It was obvious Hawks hadn't recognized him, not like how Dabi recognized Hawks, but… did Hawks even remember?
He wouldn't blame him if he didn't, but having his own reminder sleeping on his chest was… not a feeling he wanted to name.
He wanted to ask Hawks- the grown up Hawks- but how the hell could he even approach that? What if the Quirk wears off and Hawks doesn't remember?
… Then again, what if he did? Something akin to a lightbulb went on in Dabi's head, and he was easing himself up into a more vertical position. "Hey, birdie?" He whispered to the boy on his chest, "Birdie, wake up."
Keigo made a small noise of protest and curled in on himself. "Sleeping." He mumbled.
"I know, but I just need you to listen. Are you listening?"
"Mhm." Keigo sighed, still not opening his eyes as he tugged the blanket closer around him.
Dabi took a deep breath and let it out slowly. "My name is Touya Todoroki." He whispered to him, "Whatever happens when you go back to your grown up size, I just want you to know that I'm… I'm glad to have you back."
A sleepy coo answered him. "Touya…" He mumbled, his wings twitching, "I miss him."
Dabi just barely managed not to flinch. "I know. I'm sorry." He wrapped his arms around Keigo tightly, pulling him up close to his chest as he laid back down. Keigo grumbled from being shuffled, but settled again, his face pressed into Dabi's neck.
Dabi had managed to fall into somewhat of a doze for a few hours, before the weight on top of him- no more than twenty pounds, if even that much- suddenly increased. The small bundle of a body filled out, and Dabi's eyes flew open in time for him to get a faceful of a suddenly massive wing that stretched out as it grew.
Hawks was back, and beginning to stir. Pinned as he was, Dabi couldn't move. He just waited, watching as Hawks let go of his shirt and rubbed at his own face, raising his head as he yawned. He opened his eyes and blinked around blearily, finally seeming to recognize where he was.
He finally looked down at what he was laying on, and stiffened in surprise. Even without Hawks' elbow in his gut, Dabi didn't think he'd have been able to breathe in that moment as they made eye contact.
They stared at one another, Hawks in surprise, Dabi… his mind was whirling too fast for him to recognize whatever the hell was making his heart pound. Finally, after several silent seconds, he swallowed. "Morning, sleeping beau-"
"Touya."
Dabi's jaw snapped shut with an audible click. "… Sorry?" He managed.
Hawks blinked several times and frowned, squinting at his face. "I… nothing, sorry. I had a dream about… an old friend." His brows furrowed in thought for a moment, "Did I… I was hit by a Quirk, wasn't I? We were just at the warehouse, and then… what happened?"
Dabi let out the breath he wasn't aware of holding, and quickly told Hawks… almost everything. "You changed back a minute ago."
Hawks nodded slowly, before he sighed and sat back, straddling Dabi's waist. "Did I tell you my name?" He asked flatly.
"… You don't remember?"
"It's fuzzy. All I really remember is what I think was a dream."
A dream. Dabi wasn't sure if it was boldness or desperation (they're the same thing, though, aren't they?) or something as buried as their old names that made him say, "You didn't tell me your name, I already knew it. So I told you mine."
Hawks' eyes snapped to his, an intense, calculating look in his gaze that made Dabi want to shrink away. Slowly, like the sun coming over the horizon, Dabi saw the light of realization clear Hawks' expression away.
"Touya." He breathed, his voice catching like he didn't mean to say it, didn't meant to voice that little hope he had, "T… Touya…?"
Touya wasn't sure where he got the breath, the courage, to whisper back. "Keigo."
Tears flooded his eyes, and a sob wrenched from Keigo's chest as he fell forward, burying his face in Touya's neck. His wings poofed out as Touya wrapped his arms around him, clutching him close like he'd never let him go again (and he wouldn't).
Keigo sobbed into his shoulder, sniffling and whimpering as he clung to him, and Dabi felt heat building behind his eyes that his broken tearducts couldn't release. He just closed his eyes and hung on, pressing his face into Keigo's shoulder.
"I thought- I thought I lost you." Keigo rasped when he managed to get some semblance of oxygen in his lungs.
"You did." Touya croaked, "But I didn't mean to leave you."
Another sob, Keigo's chest heaving against his own. Then, as one, in a movement that was neither planned nor coordinated, the two of them turned their heads until their lips met. Touya could taste the tears that had smeared over Keigo's lips; salty and sharp like the pain cracking his stony heart apart, and he couldn't get enough of either.
His hand came up to tangle in Hawks' hair, as the other clutched the back of his shirt. He felt like he was burning up all over again, in- it was the only way to explain it- in the right way, this time.
When they finally parted, Keigo pulled back just enough to look at him, his hands coming up to cup Touya's burned cheeks. He opened his mouth, and his jaw quivered as he tried to speak, as his eyes searched over his face like he was seeing it, properly, for the first time, taking in the burns and skin grafts and staples. His fingers shook as he reached up and ran them through his hair.
"It's dyed." Touya blurted out, "I mean, I… I died."
"No." Keigo breathed, a shaky smile on his face, "No. You came back to me, Touya."
As bloody tears slipped down Touya's cheeks, he nodded. "I came back. and I'm never leaving you again."
End.
A/N: Thank you for reading! If you enjoyed, consider leaving me a tip! I could really use the help with groceries and name change process!
When Keigo was 16 he kept getting in trouble with his handler at the Commission and gets sent to «voulenteer» at an animal shelter.
It started when he pierced his own ears, then he dyed his hair bright red to match his wings, and when he finally got busted reading files he had no business reading his handler put their foot down.
However, Keigo was rarely allowed outside of the Commission on his own, and secretley he looked forwards to a few hours without handlers and in company of some cute animals.
He hadn’t had the chance to meet many, but he goes in with a positive attitude as always!
What he didn’t expect was just how freaking attached he would get to the little creatures.
Not just the cute puppies and kittens, but the wildlife ones who were there for treatment as well.
He cried for the first time in years when he and the vet running the shelter released a now healthy possum that he’d gotten especially attached to.
After a while Keigo was allowed to run the night shift himself, as there was nothing to do besides keeping watch, and Keigo were just two years away from being a full fledged pro hero anyways.
He’s a little nervous the first night, but he truly has no reason to, because it all goes well.
Until there is a president knock on the door, that is.
Keigo knows there could be people coming in with animals all times of the night, so he sharpens a feather and carefully opens the door to peek out.
It’s hard to see the person outside properly because of the rain and the dark, but it’s clear that whoever it is isn’t bigger than Keigo, and is holding something gently in his arms, so Keigo opens the door.
The person stumbles inside on shaky legs, and Keigo is shocked to see it’s a boy, probably around his own age, gently cradling what looks a lot like a baby racoon.
The boy himself is wearing a oversized, ragged, and most of all wet hoodie, and his skin is shockingly pale, his turquoise eyes standing out in stark contrast to his pale skin and white hair.
He was kinda really pretty.
Also really skinny, pale and shaky, but most of all, pretty.
After a little back and fourth between them, mostly consisting of Keigo trying to understand the pretty boy’s raspy, quiet voice, but after a while Keigo has the raccoon in a warm and safe cage and have called the owner of the shelter.
Just as he’s about to turn around and thank the stranger, he realizes with a sinking feeling that the boy has already left.
Luckily, it doesn’t take that long until Keigo gets a second chance.
Two nights later, a familiar knock on the door makes Keigo’s wings fluff up and he excitedly runs for the door.
Once again the pretty boy is standing there, this time he’s carrying a small cardboard box filled with way too young kittens.
«Someone just left them,» the boy says in that quiet voice of his, and Keigo’s heart squeezes.
«I got it,» Keigo say with as much reassurance he could muster, and as he took the box from the boy he noticed just how thin and freezing his hands were.
Keigo had a feeling the boy wasn’t keen on accepting any charity, and the last thing he wanted to do was scare him off again, but luckily he thinks quick.
«Could you help me with them? Just for a few hours!»
The boy looks startled, but after a few beats he finally nods.
So together, the boys carefully warm up the tiny kittens, feed them some bottled milk, and make sure there’s no visible injuries on them.
When the sun starts rising, the boy gets antsy, and Keigo tells him it’s okay if he needs to leave.
«I could use your help again tonight you know?» Keigo adds shyly as they’re about to part in the doorway.
The boy looked up trough his fringe, meeting Keigo’s eyes straight on.
«Really?»
Keigo smiled.
«Yeah! They’re a lot of work, and it gets really lonley here at night anyways.»
The boy nodded slowly.
«I’ll try my best,» he said hoarsly, and Keigo nodded.
«One last thing?» Keigo added nervously.
«Yeah?» the boy asked, already halfway out the door.
«What’s your name?»
The boy looked paniced for a second, before he whispered the answer.
«It’s Touya.»
Keigo beamed.
«Cool! I’m Keigo!»
Touya actually smiled a little at that.
«Yeah, you told me that already Birdie.»
Keigo blushed and ran a hand trough his hair.
«Heh. Right.»
Touya smiled shyly before he dissapeared into the first signs of dusk.
Keigo was already looking forward to the next night shift.
For the next few weeks the boys kept this little routine up.
Keigo would sneaking buy some takeout and insist he got too much and didn’t want to throw out the leftovers, and Touya would pretend to believe him.
They would talk about very light and unpersonal topics, but they still get to know each other slowly, and get more comfortable around each other as they work with the kittens together.
When Keigo’s voulenteer period is close to ending, he’s real sad about it.
He tried to beg his handler for more time there, but the upper heads of the Commission flat out refuse.
Keigo hated himself for waiting until the last night to tell Touya. He was such a chickenshit.
He hates himself even more when he finds a letter on the doorstep when he arrives.
The tattered envelope only has one word on it.
«Birdie ~»
Keigo takes a deep breath, and opens the letter.
«Hey Birdie.
I’m so sorry for leaving this way.
I know you know my situation better than you want to admit, and you probably know that it’s a risky one.
I won’t tell you much, for your own sake, but I needed to say thank you.
For treating me like a person, and for pretending like you didn’t know I was starving, or that I needed a safe place to spend the nights.
I’ll never forget your kindness Birdie.
- T»
Keigo’s heart breaks for a million reasons that night, for the boy without a home, for the friend lost, and for the death of the warm feelings he’d been experiencing for the first time.
For the next two years Keigo kept that letter with him, the memories of the pale boy with the pretty eyes who was his first real friend one of the reasons he got trough the last gruelig years of Commission training and hero prepping.
A bit ironic, all things considering, but Keigo had no way of knowing that, yet.
Yet.
Prince Hawks had never met the man he was to marry— not until they stood at the altar speaking their vows. When the priest told them to kiss, Touya whispered, “Don’t.” So he didn’t. All they had to do was fake it.
or: Hawks and Touya are writing the love story of a generation on a very public stage. It’s so convincing, even Hawks could believe it was real.
Ongoing wip!
I've connected the dots!?
Dabihawks can unfortunately be a Cars au
-Hawks a young prodigy, too fast for his own good determined to be the best and better than his upbringing.
"And remember: with a little Rust-eze," Hawks glances off to the side and thinks to himself, and an insane amount of government-funded abuse luck- ,"you too can look like me. Ka-chow."
-gets sabatoged and ends up with the league, a group of rejects living on their own and trying to change their circumstances.
-doc = dabi, gets into a horrible accident leaving him unable to compete in the only career he knows, now hates everything to do with that career and tells his dramatic back story to the to fast for his own good main character to give them perspective on the career.
-to fast for his own good has an entire personality change so he can stay with his new family.
-Toga and Twice are Luigi and Guido, no thoughts on that just vibes.
-Dabi is both Doc and Sally in this because the stickers nickname is just feathers. And Hawks would absolutely point out asking what a Todoroki (Porsche) was doing in this shitty little town.
