...I think I gotta explain myself, huh
Ppl on Insta have seen this on my stories already, but about a month ago, when I was sick and stuck in bed, I was like, you know what? fuck it, might as well catch up on Genshin lore.
And let me tell you I was delighted to see how interesting the lore of this world was. Like, it tickled the same part of my brain I get from Monster Hunter or Legend of Zelda lore, so I am not at all suprised that I got into it.
I was suprised, tho, how much I fell in love with certain characters. Like, I HAVE played this game before (but dropped it) and I was kinda up to date on the characters since so many of my artist friends are in the fandom, so me falling in love with Kaeya got me like ????? Ive known him forever and only now I get excited when I see him??? And then Tartaglia somehow slipped into my "(unhinged) babyboy" sector and you know, digging into lore with these two gave me plenty of stuff to read through.
But then
I read up on Sara's backstory and it's so deliciously tragic, and after I finished Inazuma it dawned on me how much angst potential suddenly lay before her, and man, I just rly fell in love with her ngl.
and, ofc, the last puzzle piece in my obsession, good ol Itto. Funny thing is back when he came out my friends tried to lure me into Genshin with him cos he's the bulky dude of the bunch but I somehow didnt dig his style at all. Few years later and he's like, one of my favs, I love him with all my heart, Oni himbo baby boy, so funny and too good and stupid for this world.
Suffice to say, height difference, opposites attract and forgotten past together made me instantly fall into the Ittosara ship hole. Theyre like another flavour of Vashmeryl to me.

a/n: my first post on this account (and fiction writing in months)! i’m not that great of a writer so corrections are appreciated but please don’t be rude to me or anyone on my blog. i hope you enjoy this:)

even after the bombs, the living still needed entertainment. good thing i was still alive. i owned a small little jazz club downtown of filly, many people came to see me — ghouls, raiders, you name it. i made my living off bottlecaps from the entry fee and tips. 20 bottle caps for entry and i usually got tips above 30. i used my caps to buy meds, meds for my husband.
my husband’s a ghoul, somehow im not. i was already examining a vault when the bombs had dropped. coop had a birthday party gig, i felt i shouldve begged him to come with me to the vault, but i hadn’t. i should’ve trusted my instincts that day. nonetheless i still love him, hes still a divine being in my eyes.
currently, im backstage getting ready for a performance. cooper was out hunting a bounty, said he might be back in a couple days. i sighed as i combed my hair, i held my gaze in the mirror. if something were to happen to him i dont know what i’d do.
standing up, i examined myself in the mirror.
i think im ready..
as i walked out of the room i gave dogmeat i quick pet before walking out on stage. my heels clicked on the medium sized stage, gazes locked on my body, and commotion erupted. cat calls and claps echoed through the small club. one i had reached the mic i turned to my piano player and nodded. he smiled and began to play.

i paused for a moment, a small blanket of whistles covered my ears. i took a breath and closed my eyes.

i heard the old doors of the club open, but i didnt pay any attention and kept singing. silent foot steps echoed the club as i kept my eyes closed. i heard them pause for a moment before sitting on one of the many squeaky chairs.

whispers and mumbling always came up during this song. they speculated my lover physically hurt me, when it was never physically. he always had a way with my heart, and no matter how much bad news he told me i always was there for him. it’s not like he abused me, oh no, never. it was just sad to see him go through so much that it even hurt me.
as i sang along, i slowly opened my eyes to gaze around the room. many men’s stares and some women smiling and talking. as my eyes roamed i spotted a familiar cowboy. my eyes widened slightly seeing him here, he said he wouldn’t be back for days… i pushed away that thought and lightly smiled at him, holding his gaze. the song ended, i thanked everyone for being there and went off the stage and left the band to play. claps and whistles erupted as i left the stage.
as i cleaned off my makeup, i felt a hand on my shoulder. i looked up in the mirror and smiled.
“you know, that makeup made you awfully pretty, darlin’.”
i giggled. i looked up at him and held the hand that was on my shoulder.
“you did pick it out, remember? 200 years ago…”
i spoke softly. his hard gaze softened lightly, brushing my hair with his hand. he pressed a kiss to my head and held me for a moment.
“you said you wouldn’t be back for days, what happened?”
“well, sweetheart, the guy just so happened to be traveling on his way to filly. speaking of filly…”
he reached in his pocket, rummaging for a moment. he pulled out a beautiful ring that looked oh so familiar. our engagement ring.
he held it out between his two fingers, his gaze all over his face. i sighed deeply, tears building up. he softly smiled, wiping the tears that did fall.
“i just so happened to find our engagement rings. the rings that had been stolen from us, oh so, long ago, darlin’.”
“thank you…”
i breathed out. i was so surprised he found them, the same rings that matched our eyes. they were very dear to us, my ring matched his eyes, and his matched mine. i let him slide the ring on my finger, i gazed at it before jumping to give him a hug. he stood still for a moment, slowly moving to encase me in his grasp.
“do you find me scary, sweetheart?”
“scary? my god, you’re divine…”
i pulled back slightly to look at him. my hands held his face. we both leaned in and encased ourselves in a kiss, a soft embrace.

my headcannons for tamaki amajiki
an? i was projecting ... just a little bit tho. a little smidget🤏🏾. but he dont get enough content and im suing the mha fandom for this !! and i had to throw in some black hcs, it was inveitable request are open
- my husband
- you not finna sit here and tell me he dont got some corny jokes stuck up in his head. his best friend is MIRIO, i know he got some jokes floating around in that noggin, but he’s too shy to say them out loud in fear that: nobody gonna laugh or get the jokes. but on a rare occasion he tells mirio and neijere.
- if he knows he got to meet somebody new, like when he got intern for fatgum, he writes out what he wanna say and practices in his mirror for hours on end. one time mirio popped through the mirroir while tamaki was pratatcing and left with a broken nose.
- he snoops out all the spots where he could sneak off and hide at lunch or when he feelings overwhelmed
- if he doesnt like a certain type of food, he gonna find a way to make it taste better. so because of this he got some weird food combinations that are unappeling to the eye, but tatse soooooo goood. he brings his combinatons to fatgum so he could try them out and get feedback.
- most definitelyyyyyyy watches cooking shows with fatgum and kiri, once he’s comfortable enough. and he really gets into with the commentary. has a strange obsession with hell’s kitchen. he always get so into the show during the finale, planning out the restaurant desgins with the contestant and his menus too.

- he stares at you doing simple things a lot. you could really be doing anythinggg and this man you be in a tranceee, because like how you, a star who sines so bright, be with him, he would never know.
- he a romantic. he always dreamed of sweeping or getting sweeped off his feet, and falling hopelessly in love. he got a list of romantic things he wants to do. and now that hes in a relationship its the perfect time to cross some things (hopefully all) off of his list. he didnt tell you about it you found the notebook while yall were studying in his room. without him knowing and took a picture off it so you could help it come true. (AHHHH I LOVE HIM SO MUCH YALL)
- one time he seen matching butterly pins and got them because he wanted to match with you.
- we all know this but, he very shy when it come to PDA. so expect a lot of lingering touches, locking pinkey, occaisonal hand holding if he feeling bold that day, tends to hold on to your cholthing/accessories because he doesnt wanna drift to far apart from you, and noticed when you startoing wearing things that were easier for him to grab and fell more in love
- but in private???? he’s a needy baby, greedy for some TLC. hes very shy to initiate it at first, but you could see the longing look in his eye and cuddle up to him. but once he comfortable enough he is start doing trying to inatate it.
- omg if you have piercings or tattoos or anything of the sort, you could always find hims absentmindedly messing with the piercing or lightly tracing the tattoo, if youre okay with it of course. and if you want him to
- isnt really good at comforting people with his words so he tries with his actions. so if you come to him sad he has this whole sections of things dedicated to making you happier in his closet.
- when you came through with a different hairstly (braids, a wig, change of color, haircut ect.) he was stuck. stuck. stuck. cause omg omg omg you look so good. poor baby is stuck stuttering out compliments. one time you asked him to take pictures during golden hour. babes ... why would you think he could do that idk buttt he tried and they all came out blurry, but a cute blurry
- loves loves lovessss putting oil in your hair !! it always leaving the room smelling nice and it seems to relax you so win win. loves watching you stretch your hair out too. its just so satisfying to watch you do your hair.
- he knew about some black foods from watching the shows, but he didnt know know until you cooked for him. baby wanted to get down on a knee and marry you after that first bite. now he always look forward to when you cook for him. but if you cant, you’ve got a great teacher to start learining how. he always wanted to cook with his s/o

OK SO THE TRAILER FOR THE NEW GARF MOVIE CAME OUT (and of course youtube didnt tell me about it until now) AND!!! ITS SO CUTE!!!!!! so here's me yelling and screaming and fanboying about how much i love how this movie looks so far :D
ok first off, BABY GARF!!! HE IS A TINY BALL!!! LITTOL GUY!!!! :D
he's so miniscule! so microscopic! an atom! he's tiny!!! but he's just living in a box who would abandon such a little guy :( (his dad probably. yeah he's in this movie and i hope Garfield's mum is also in here because she appeared in a classic Garfield special and she's so lovely)
after this scene we see our first look at Jon (my beloved) eating alone at an Italian restaurant, and like, this means so much to me. look at these shots:
i'm not sure if they're in order or not but like. look at the way he watches the family! he has a look of bittersweet love and sadness in his eyes and i'm just,,, 🥺 he just wants to be a dad.... i love how Jon has always kinda been portrayed as a father figure to his pets, in classic shows and specials he calls Garf and Odie his boys, in Garfield Gets Real he calls them his kids and now here, he wants to be a father so bad i'm going to burst into tears i love this man
the garf appears!! the littol baby has arrived!! the tiny little miniscule microscopic molecule atom of a cat has approached the window!!!
the way Jon puts his finger to the window, the way he cuddles baby Garf with so much tender loving care and adoration..... he's so sweet i love him!! how can people hate this man?? look at him!!! look this sweet and loving father figure in the eyes and tell him you hate him. you cannot. he's too pure for this world
also i haven't mentioned this yet, but it's commonly accepted in the Garfield fandom that Garfield was born in a pizza shop and then was transferred to a pet shop where Jon then adopted Garfield in 1978, but to be honest, i didn't really like the pet shop part of that backstory. the pizza place part was great but i dunno, Jon just going to a pet shop and buying Garfield isn't as heartfelt to me. this backstory though? i LOVE. two lonely creatures meeting each other and forming a family is so adorable and sweet, especially for modern Garfield. i feel like we need less cynicism in modern Garfield and more stuff like this i love it so much,,, also this movie looks fucking beautiful holy shit
i really like this part because like, Garfield didn't develop his bizarrely huge diet over time. dude was BORN with it. and like look at that look on Jon's face, he looks like he hasn't even finished processing what just happened yet and is just staring into the mist wondering what and how and why that happened. beautiful. also that second image is really funny to me it should have a silly ominous text post caption on it
also this shot, i didn't notice it the first time but holy shit the look of absolute HORROR on Jon's face!! he is witnessing the TRUE extent of Garfield's powers and he is NOT ready for it man i love this shot so much
okok so what i REALLY LOVE about this specific shot is that it reminds me of a classic Garfield strip where Jon is attempting to give Garfield a bath!! here's the strip it reminds me of:
Jon doesn't actually wear anything but like. the fact that he has to go through so much preparation to give Garfield a bath so he doesn't claw him up in the movie, it just has to be a reference to this strip it's gotta be man i'm betting money on it. also hiii Lyman :)
this scene is so fucking pretty!!! look at the warm colours! it feels so homely and it's exactly how i feel reading my dad's old Garfield comic books! all the warm bright colours and gentle lighting, all the freshly baked lasagna that i really wanna eat because it's so delicious looking.... how can people say that Jon doesn't feed Garfield when he is RIGHT THERE grating extra cheese for him because he knows Garfield likes extra everything in his lasagna. such a sweet adorable man :') i'd like to see ihatejonarbuckle make a good rebuttal to THIS
there's some other neat little references in this movie too, like the Stuck On You plushies made by Dakin being referenced with Garfield smacking into a car after his dad throws him out of a train,
and a reference to the giant Garfield balloon at a Macy's Thanksgiving parade that makes me think that 'Garfield' the comic is canon in this movie, it's created by Jon (cause y'know he's supposed to be a cartoonist) and it's based off his own stories with Garfield and it is now an international phenomenon like in our world. neat!
the question is though, does Garfield know he's a worldwide sensation or does he have absolutely no idea? it'd be funny if it was the latter option honestly cause he'd be extremely confused yet flattered as to why there's a random giant balloon dedicated to him in the city
so the big dude on the left is Garfield's dad, but also, this reminds me of this other Garfield comic where Garfield meets his former self from 1978 and they proceed to eat all the food in the fridge together. thought that was cool :D
(it'd be really funny if this was Garfield's dad and he was messing with Garfield by telling him they are one in the same haha)
oh yeah and here's the two of them eating everything in Jon's fridge from the movie:
see what i mean? there's a similarity there and i think it's really funny. also Jon's probably thinking "wtf there's two of them now???" like Garfield got so fat that he just split into two cats or something lol
so! does it look like a good movie? abso-fucking-lutely yes!!! i am SO excited to go see this one! i think this is the best Garfield media we've gotten in YEARS! i love the colours and the shots, i love the slight modern redesign they gave Jon, Odie looks a little weird but he's still super fun and adorable, and while i do find it odd that the Garfield balloon looks more like Garfield than he does, i do like how expressive the characters' eyes are and it's miles better than the previous 3D Garfs we got! i really wanna see this movie and boy am i going to be RAVING about it for WEEKS this blog will be FILLED with Garfield for the next few weeks when this goes digital!! super jazzed to see it!!

oh youre gonna think im so lame. it's essay writing. ahdjsjdkaksk. i think i told you before but i write book reviews for every book i read and my writing feels so Natural then because it's like. every line has a purpose to prove my point about the book. whenever im feeling rusty with narrative writing i find myself telling myself 'okay pretend this is an essay and this whole story is trying to prove your thesis about the characters' ahdjsj

bren 🥹 ily. my hanahaki wip is really fun and i feel like has a lot of good writing because it really demands a lot of descriptiveness. i have this section when adrien sees gabriel for the first time in a while that i kept scrolling up and rereading

He’s gaunt — it’s the first word that comes to mind. His eyes sit deep in their sockets beneath his glasses, jaw a sharp trapezoid attached to his cheeks. It’s not just a matter of losing weight over the months — which, even if it was, would be a surprising deviation from the seventy-five kilos he had not shifted a decimal of a gram from in thirty years. It’s everything else, the biology hidden behind the layers of perfectly-tailored clothing, and well-combed hair, and skin, although pristine, textured like paper over the canvas of his skull.

did i ever tell you about how when i went to paris last year i literally knew where everything was by arrondissements because ive searched them up so many times for ml fics. i think it was even specifically rue lepic that i remember the most because i once wrote about ladynoir patrolling around there and it turned out to be the road right next to my hotel (yes, we got a hotel in pigalle, my paris knowledge did not supply me with what exactly pigalle is known for,)
⏳If you could go back in time and tell your younger writer self something, what would it be?
literally not to lose that unwarranted confidence i had. at age eleven i was pounding out 50k+ word multichapter fics for my first fandom and like. the plots are so questionable. but when i reread them now im genuinely impressed at the quality of writing i had at that age. i think as i hit 13/14 i went through that phase where i was like ohhh my god i was sooo embarrassing when i was a kid and that insecurity really hindered my writing progress! i think creativity needs you to be unapologetic and cringe. that's when the best stuff is made because it's Real

omg what happened with the Snape fans?
mm. man. okay here we go 😭
so i made a post last year that was kind of poking fun at how snape fans ‘baby’ snape. which is not in the stereotypical sense where they characterise him as someone submissive or meek, but in the way where they destroy any nuance to his character and characterise him as a martyr or a hero in the face of the “terrorising, popular bullies” or what have you. which totally gets rid of the point of him— showing how lonely and bitter boys can be taken advantage of by redpill rhetoric and lose the things they cared for the most. its funny because snape fans will bitch and moan about marauders fans who do the exact same thing.
i didnt word it like this, i worded it as a sort of snarky joke at them. i had like 60 followers at the time. i didnt think it would get much traction at all bcuz i had criticised the marauders fandom MUCH more at that point and hadnt gotten any flack for it on tumblr so i assumed it would be the same for “the snapedom” or whatever cringe name they go by.
i got called a bitch, idiotic, stupid. they were pulling old posts i made of silly headcanons about the marauders and reblogging my post saying i was just another delluded marauder fan who just hates snape and reads too much atyd. which is SO funny because i have never read a marauders fic but i have tried to read snape-centric fics and most of them i had to drop because of the lily-bashing in it. and multiple of them tried to gaslight me in reblogs and the notes and tell me that snape fans were not like that AS THEY WERE LITERALLY PROVING MY POINT. they were saying “its so clear you havent met a snape apologist and just want to bash us” like ??? they had a serious case of victim complex and it suddenly made sense to me why they characterise snape the way they do. someone said i was trying too hard to be “not like the other girls” for criticising both snape and marauders fans, and when i proceeded to block them they made a pinned post about me thats still pinned on their blog 💀
when i tell you these people were like a hornets nest. i used to feel bad for them for the flack they get for simply liking a character— but after that i was so done trying to defend them. i remember at the time i had a more detailed criticism of snape i was going to post but after that i was too scared bcuz if they reacted like that when i never even insulted snape, i knew i was going to be absolutely cooked if i decided to actually say something of value.
and that was just from one post. there have been others who have tried to convince me things about the marauders characters that are simply not true. like james sexually harassing lily into dating and marrying him, or how sirius and remus are terrible for wanting to kill peter pettigrew themselves instead of sending dementors to him. such stupid ‘arguments’, if you can even call them that.
theyre like delusional james potter fans, which is hilariously ironic. both claim to hate the other for doing the exact same things they do.

2 AM ramble about the Hunger Games and the fandom
*It should be noted before reading this that I am not an english major. No research went into this beforehand. I am just a girl whos read some books. Also this could be entirely wrong, I didnt have time to word it pretty*
The Hunger Games is a unique series. It is considered a young adult dystopian novel, but it stands apart from other notable books in the genre for one reason. It has real anger behind it. The thing that makes good dystopian literature good is usually held to how accurately it critiques the world around it. Dystopian - although this isn’t the exact translation - roughly means “no good bad place”, and the most popular books of the genre exemplify that.
Every year, over and over, people re-discover thar our world is very much like that of George Orwells 1984. Some claim Orwell must have been a “prophet” to write such a book. But the truth is that he wasn’t predicting the future at all. Orwell was simply writing a dark reflection of his own time. He identified certain traits in the world and he magnified them in his story until the reader could see why they were a problem, and why it would be strange to live in such circumstances. Similar patterns are present in Brave New World and Fahrenheit 451. These patterns also exist in the Hunger Games.
Other books in the YA Dystopian genre lack this inspiration. Instead they are written for the sole purpose of telling a story, which is why they fail. The point of dystopian is to make critique. Without the critique, many of the books could be passed off as sci-fi, with the new developments in tech. The books need the bleak reflection of our present to really drive the worldbuilding.
So, with all that in mind, the Hunger Games is in a weird spot. Its a YA Dystopian, which serves a purpose of girlbosses with dubious love interest fighting a faceless government and other ripoffs of such (I do acknowledge there are other good YA Dystopians, ive only ever read Divergent). But at the same time the Hunger Games has the grit that many of the more classic dystopians have. You don’t see anybody thirsting over Winston from 1984, and you don’t ever see any true analysis of the meaning behind Divergent. But the Hunger Games gives us both.
This in and of itself isn’t that big of an issue, except fans often try to take the YA part and seperate it from the Dystopian part. This goes as far back as the “Team Peeta” vs “Team Gale” debate that sparked when the book released. Although there is no issue with enjoying petty little fandom dramas - I have also indulged in such things - these arguments became the focus, overlooking any genuine meaning behind the story.
I understand, this is fandom culture after all, not every piece of media can be put under the microscope all the time and many fans have put fantastic thought into the actual meaning behind the book. But with the release of the new movie - The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes - the fandom has become more open to the general public, and these issues have worsened.
To start, the obvious. All the tik tok girlies thirsting over Coriolanus Snow. I even saw one go as far as to call Lucy Grey the “villain” of the story, because she hurt poor baby Coryo. This is actually ironic. I remember when the book was announced many fans, including myself, were afraid that Collins was going to try to make Snow sympathetic. Instead, she gave us another amazing book and gave us more insight on the worldbuilding, and Snow as a character. Sure, his parents died, but the book shows again and again how he isn’t the victim. It shows how selfish he is and how all of his actions are geared towards improving his image and moving up in the world (I could go into heavy detail about his relationship with Lucy but thats for another time). And so here we were with a good book that didn’t make him a sob story villain.
And then the movie came out. And despite the fact that the movie did fantastic with showing how unsympathetic this man is, somehow, some way… are sympathizing with him.
The obvious reason is because they find him attractive. This is the same old tune as when the Dhamer show with Evan Peters came out on Netflix and they were thirsting over him too. However many of these girlies (gender neutral) are using their attraction to him to justify that hes not a bad person. And theres a lot of them. I don’t really have more notes on this topic its just baffling that the minute a tall white boy is on screen all comprehension of good and evil goes out the window.
The next problem with the people and the movie are all the people calling for more movies. “I want to see Finnick in the games!” or “I want to see Haymitch in the games!!!”. Congratulations, the capitol would love you. This also confuses me seeing as the original series does an amazing job at showing that the capitols complicity and enthusiasm for the games is part of the problem. And the new movie even goes further as to show if the people don’t watch, there are no games. And yet fans are calling for more movies, not with the purpose of adding more worldbuilding or adding more layers of meaning to the already existing story, but because they want to fulfill their fandom needs of wanting more content.
This is my biggest issue and the whole reason i’m writing this actually. The Hunger Games is being treated more for the YA side of things than the Dystopian side of things. Fans want to see more, not wanting any meaning, but just wanting content.
The third thing I’ve noticed is again from tik tok, all of the girlies (again gender neutral) doing “Hunger Games” themed makeup looks.
There two notable kinds. Theres the “x district” themed makeup, and theres a chronology type makeup where they show themselves at the reaping all the way through the victors parade. Both raise issues. The district makeup looks always, ALWAYS glamorize the district which is strange and ironic considering we never see the districts not starving and dying and suffering… I understand makeup is supposed to look good but, maybe don’t romanticize the districts..?
The chronology makeup is also bad for the sole reason that it ALWAYS shows the artist as the victor. It’s another way of romanticizing the games in a way, showing how gorgeous you’d look after you’ve won. Ignoring the kids you killed and the trauma you’ve endured. The whole makeup stuff is insensitive
Anyways yeah im tired theres my thoughts. It just is so weird and disheartening because this story has something to say. The reason we even got a new book is because Collins had more to say. And instead of focusing on all of the complex worldly issues that were masterfully written into the books, we are not just acting like a fandom, but we are acting like the damn capitol.

Making playlists is my passion maybe actually, lol. I am the Road Trip Music Conductor in my friend group, and I always need something that fits the Vibe. I don’t play around about my playlists, I can’t lie. (Dream job maybe used to be making those Spotify official playlists because I learned that was a real job when I was in high school, and let me tell you!! I am lowkey sad it did not happen).
My playlists at this point are also kind of a scrapbook of all the interests I’ve had (though I have like 100+ more that are private/incomplete from other fandoms) and I kind of love you sending this because it’s like a trail of all the things I’ve loved 😅.
Malex had a CHOKEHOLD on me, and social network was on repeat in my dorm room for like a whole semester. I think I could probably quote that whole film if promoted - 100% I could tell you sorry my Prada was at the cleaners along with my hoodie and my fuck-you flip flops (iconic, we must never let it die).

dreamy i'm in your inbox solely to fan girl about chan. i just, idk, i love him so much that it's kinda sick and twisted? like i turned 27 last week! TWENTY SEVEN! i should not be this into a kpop band / boy yet ??? idk his stupid little face makes me so happy. i love how much he loves what he does and his fans and how much he cares about his craft and fellow bandmates. i just want to tell him how good of a job he's doing and to stop beating himself up if he isn't like 100% perfect at all times. he is so self-deprecating sometimes during his lives and i just wanna shake him and be like "sttttttoooooooop talking about my emotional support bestie who doesnt even know he is my bestie like that!!!" idk idk he just brings me so much joy. i've been in this fandom for like less than a year (baby stay who got into them the end of last year). but even though i havent been there from the start i cant help but be so proud of him (and all the other boys!!!) for how far they've come! like they were JYPs underdog boy group that he almost didnt even debut and now they are like the 2nd most popular boy band in all of korea only 2nd to bts (that is if my facts are correct) and just UUUUUUUUGH. i am so proud of him for enduring and sticking it through and so happy that he, and all the other members, are finally getting their chance in the spotlight and be appreciated for the wonderful performers they are! i'm only sad about joining the fandom so late because now i know when they come back to the US again the tickets are going to be even more insanely costly iuhgbjnkiuhbnmjhb. okay rant over!
ahhh omg this is so cute!! and youre so valid i wish i could get him to really understand how much we all love him and how much he really means. and pls there is no age u shouldnt fall for chris he is timelessly sweet and kind and full of so much passion and caring it would be crazy not to feel giddy and mushy about him. they really have come so far and grown so much and he's done such an incredible job of leading them and the fandom. and i know it always sucks not to stan from debut but you're here now and skz are only going to keep growing and evolving so you get to be here for all of that. theyre only really just getting started i think, so i think you've arrived just when you were meant to hehe and i agree the tour thing could be an issue UNLESS jype follows other companies and works to make sure fans can grab tickets before the public, but we'll just have to see how it works out. i also think theyll probably do stadiums next time they come (they should since they had like 2-3 shows a city for arenas and sold out) which would give more of an opportunity for ppl to get to see them. either way i wish you all the luck when they do <3

I realize this was for @redheadgleek but: baby got back being the plagarism scandal? or something else ?? how many episodes did they have prefilmed before a season aired??
Writing it down before I manage to forget about it. Adam wasn't cast until rather late in the game. We had spoilers for Christmas -- and there's a lot of stuff around the filming of White Christmas (Chris and Darren had film - and fans had film, and omg it was the best time.)
(Also - I'll have to do a longer post - because there was some gossipy Chris stuff going on, too.)
Anyway - fun fact: Adam's Apples was originally Paul's Peaches. And "Paul" was going to be a three episode guest star the same way Darren was contracted that way for Blaine. However, a few things happened.
RIB and Co did not get permission to use the version of Baby Got Back that they used, and it was a huge ordeal, and the show got sued (I believe) for it. And that soured people on the character -- before he really had anything to do.
Also - there was enough fan backlash, and all the stuff with Cory going on, that I'm sure they just didn't want to deal with the character, and he was kind of unceremoniously written off.
Unfortunately, the actor also gave this awkward interview where he tried to talk up how important he was and while I'm sure the guy is a nice guy, the interview didn't exactly paint him in the best light, so that didn't help.
this is all very interesting bc brody to me is sm more interesting than adam ???? like at least he has a personality other than British and Beanie.
There was a lot /a lot/ of Rachel hate in Season 4. Somewhat because Finchel was so irritating during Season 3 we were all collectively done with it. Partly because Rachel's storyline, when told week to week, is much more irritating than when you can see where it's headed when you watch it in bulk. And... at least from the Klaine side of things -- he was just another character taking up space and detracting from Kurt/Klaine/Whomever's story.
(I do feel differently about a lot of this stuff now - I'm just kind of giving insight as to what was going on back then.)
were the newbies just disliked bc they were new ? watching it this year they were just…not fleshed out and thats why a lot of them didnt stick. do u think if they were fleshed out early fandom would have received it better, or it would have mattered?
There were a lot of reasons the newbies were disliked.
-Part of it was because the Glee Project kind of shoehorned some of them in, and the cast was already bloated enough
-Part of it was because they felt like carbon copies of characters we already liked and enjoyed -- and now we can't see a lot of those characters and we have these pale in comparison copies.
-Part of it was because the marketing team was shoving them down our throats before the season started -- no joke, the season 3 dvds had a 'Jarley' featurette on it.
-Part of it was because we knew the break ups were happening, and it sucked to not only have screen time taken away from your favorites, but now they're miserable when they are on screen, so it made people feel resentful.
-Part of it was that they just weren't well drawn characters, and my god, the last thing we wanted was another love triangle.
-Part of it was because a lot of the stories they were telling had already been done.
-Part of it was because the newbies really did not interact with the old cast (in any meaningful way). Their stories were segregated, and it felt like a different show.
-Part of it was because it felt like the Newbies stories were being pushed to the forefront, and characters like Sam, Tina, and Artie were still sidelined and sacrificed (not to mention favorite characters leaving the show all together.)
-Part of it was that Season 3 had been so tiring (and was so not good -- don't let people today fool you on that) that a lot of people were just done with the whole thing.
The Season 6 newbies were much better received. Not only were they fresher characters, who didn't resemble old ones, they were integrated much better. The old cast didn't take a backseat to them, and instead they were used to further the plot of the old cast. If they had done with the Season 4 newbies what they did with the Season 6 newbies, I think they would have been better liked.

britney spears's ...baby one more time goddamn i LOVE this album. her voice is soo beautiful and the sound is the perfect late 90s/early 2000s bubblegum pop vibe mixed with some of the most heartfelt songs youve ever heard. gorgeous gorgeous record.
chappell roan's the rise and fall of a midwest princess... obviously. i really truly feel like this album will go down as one of the Greatest pop records in history and it's so deserved ALONG WITH chappell as one of the most iconic performers. like she Literally has everything. party bops and crazy heartbreaking ballads and it translates SO well to a live show. my next record purchase as soon as i can decide between the deluxe or regular and im leaning heavyyyy toward the deluxe.
the regrettes' further joy. i had this on repeat when it came out!!! no skips it's so boppy and fun and thoughtful dreamy... i love it. would give anything to hear it live again but my signed vinyl will have to do. this album is like the music version of this emoji 💖 im so serious.
the cab's symphony soldier. have you ever... listened to this album. for one it's beautiful and two it's SUCH a fun vibe you can't not sing and dance and have so much fun. also yes i'm a spn fan ok move on.
waterparks' fandom. uhh relevant djfhdjdh. but for real it's such a stark and strong commentary on what fandom Is and parasocial relationships and how it feels to be trapped in a box because your fanbase won't let you grow as an artist and what it is to be so accessible to the public to the point where you have no control over yourself or your image. i love her deeply she tickles my brain so nicely and makes me think.
fletcher's you ruined new york city for me. it's an ep ok maybe i'm cheating but she tells the story of a whole album. i listened to this when i got dumped in nyc 🤪 so dramatic lmao. but really it's such a vulnerable breakup album that does so much in five songs. mostly make me sad.
5sos's youngblood. yeah i'm here have you LISTENED to this album??? the SOUNDS on that thing!!! it's like just the right amount of poppy and grungy and mature like... they really did something there.
harry styles debut ... controversial? honestly my favorite harry album changes prob every other week but something about his self titled is really doing it for me right now. it's an incredible body of work that introduces us to Harry Styles himself outside of one direction. i'm begging for a rockier album in the future from him bc the tastes of it we get on this record show he would just nail it.
paramore's after laughter. i swear this album made me feel alive in a way i didn't know i could feel. it's such a departure from their past work but it's still so genuine and true and you can't tell whether you're happy or sad or both or neither it's just everything to a bitch like me who can't confront her emotions dead on. and so so pretty.
carly rae jepsen's emotion.. right? how could it not be. pop perfection and that's all there is to it. the first record i bought before i even had a turntable.
extremely honorable mention to 5sos's the feeling of falling upwards. i didnt officially include it bc it's a live album but i love it so much it's so beautiful.

@renwatchesanime : ren is my best friend and is quite literally always there for me. like, i never feel like im ever in an unescapable bind bc i know ren will somehow help me out. my fav thing about ren since forever has always been their brain. they're so fucking smart that i was jealous of them before we became friends. their thinking patterns feel like they catch all the things mine miss, and they're so insanely good at connecting information together and making it make sense. they're quite frankly an absolute genius and they dont give themselves enough credit for it.

What are your fave scenes from each Mxtx work?
I probably don’t need to say this, but I will anyway! SPOILERS for SVSSS, TGCF, and MDZS below!
Ill start with TGCF since it was the first I read. There are so many scenes that I loved, and this series was so long its a bit hard to narrow down, but everything in the White No-Face arc was impactful to me specifically. The 100 sword scene, the drunk scene, the suicide scene…I just think the arc did a really good job of portraying how helpless Xie Lian felt. There was literally nothing good happening. But my FAVORITE scene from it all was the bit where the man came back, in the rain, to apologize for being angry and tell Xie Lian to suck it up and get out of the rain. Something about the scene was so incredibly human, both for Xie Lian and the man. We have a tendency to see bad and assume there will only be bad, and it wasn’t just that it was a “happier” ending to it all. It was interesting and very REAL to see someone who had yelled at him for no reason turn around and apologize, explain he’d had a bad day, and then help him out without babying him.
MDZS was the second I delved into (technically at the same time as SVSSS but that’s not important) and I loved it for a lot of the same reasons. My favorite scene is probably the one where Lan Wangji visits Yiling and runs into Wen Yuan and Wei Wuxian. Everything about the setting was bittersweet—despite all of their disagreements in the past and the situation they’re in now they walk on egg shells and just sort of. Be friends for a bit. And then, Wei Wuxian, who knows on some degree that he’s ruining himself to save these people, walks in on the Wens throwing him a large dinner. And Wen Qing says they were AFRAID to ask him. That they thought he was some scary lofty figure but have grown so grateful that they want to give back somehow. And he just feels as if it doesn’t matter anymore how hard it is. Something felt so…painful but heartwarming about this scene. Like watching an old video that includes a family member that passed away or finding something from a friendship that didnt end well but was happy at the time. Im not sure if that makes sense. In that moment, despite their troubles, they just got to exist.
For SVSSS I’ll cheat and choose something from the extras because its kind of a tie. I loved the Bamboo Branch Poem extra so much, I love Zhuzhi Lang and Tianlang-Jun’s familial relationship a lot. The Airplane extras are also very near and dear to me as a moshang lover, but I love the bit specifically where Shang Qinghua runs away and Mobei-Jun tries to take him back and is actively making concessions to do so (carrying him, offering to make noodles) because
Overall, I think what I love most about MXTX books is how human the characters seem. Theres never a “good” or “bad” outcome necessarily. The Banyue arc is a good example in TGCF, or Wei Wuxian’s struggle to save the Wen prisoners in vain and tearing himself and his relationships apart in the process in MDZS. The gods in tgcf are more human than god, and the cultivators in mdzs and svsss are still flawed despite all their training and skills. Scum Villain is a bit different because it comments a lot of fandom culture and media consumption but ultimately its commenting about the READER instead of a character—still in a very human way.
I hope that wasn’t all gibbrish—I’ve been drawing and thinking about this question for a bit now and my mind is soupy from a busy week. So I hope my thoughts make sense. Thanks for the chance to ramble a bit and I wish you a great weekend ❤️🫶
