In honor of your Eid fic for the platonic relationships event (which I’m sorry I haven’t gotten the time to finish and give the love it deserves yet since I got home😫) If you could choose one platonic relationship that got more focus in s5 which would you choose and what would be the storyline surrounding it?
3. Since you’re so good at putting silliness and laughs into the fandom, if Tim and Ryan asked you to write an episode (or just some of it) full of crack and shenanigans that includes at least three out of these 5 things: 1) a stubborn pony, 2) a midieval gown 3) a basket full of peaches 🍑🍑 3) a shit-ton of five-spice and 4) an accidentally unsexy sexy playlist, what would roughly transpire?

1. I’m not really sure, lol! I’ve been watching the show since the first episode. I used to creep on Reddit. But I found myself getting more and more annoyed that all of the important Tarlos scenes kept happening offscreen. And then Push aired and I got super annoyed with them going from TK waking up to moving into the loft with not so much as a conversation. And I remembered someone on Reddit had mentioned that Tim made a snarky comment about how people should go to fanfic if they want resolution for any of his dangling thread stories so I was like okay I guess I’ll check that out… and then at the end of season four I found myself on tumblr!! 😂
2. Marjan and TK!!!!!! I want more Marjan and TK content so bad!!! I want Marjan’s sister to visit and the three of them to go to the Turkish tea house. Maybe an earthquake hits while they’re out, and Marj and TK have to pull a bunch of people to safety and save some folks and they enlist Sahar to help. And at the end of the episode Sahar comes to Catan night and she and Marjan have a lovely talk about how she really sees that Marjan is living the life she’s meant to live and she’s built this beautiful supportive found family and she’s proud of her 🥰
3. Okay, Tarlos spends the weekend at the Reyes ranch. Carlos takes TK horseback riding but he’s worried about putting TK on an actual horse, due to all the head injuries, so he assigns him a pony named Tator. Except Tator is very stubborn and refuses to take left turns!!! So he walks straight into a lake with TK still on his back. Carlos comes to his rescue and TK tries to turn it into a sexy Mr. Darcy in the lake situation. Except Tator is eating his shirt.
Undeterred in his quest for sexiness, when they get dried off TK goes out to the orchards snd comes back with a basket of peaches and a very suggestive look. Carlos gets the hint and they start to get their sexy on but before they can get too far they’re interrupted by Tator, who has broken out of the stables and tramples their sexy peach picnic.
Once Tator is subdued TK sequesters Carlos in the bedroom and puts on a sexy playlist. But instead of Sade and Barry Manilow, they’re blasted with WHAT’S NEW PUSSYCAT WHOoOOoOOooaaaH!!!!!
Meanwhile, Paul is making his famous goat curry for lunch back at the station. Mateo tries to help but he gets distracted by a woman wearing a medieval gown who’s entered the firehouse with a basket of peaches for the handsome fire captain who resuscitated her after she fell off the pole in her pole dancing class. She tries to flirt with Owen, but is mercifully cut off by the bell. The crew races downtown to a spice factory, where there’s been a malfunction and a machine is spewing five spice everywhere. Judd is red faced and crying about his Scotch-Irish constitution. Being the smallest one, Mateo has to climb inside the machine to shut it off.
In the end, everyone is covered in five spice and they spend the whole trip back to the station crying about how they can never eat Chinese food again 😂

Okay so some details
I’ve had this in my mind for months, and I finally just caved and drew it lol
So Robin and the lads are obviously in an emo/punk band. OBVIOUSLY Robin is lead, the boys (who I did not draw) I have Richard on drums (the blond one) David on bass (rat tail/no bowler hat :/) and Henry on guitar (he robs the carriage with Robin in the beginning) I would say they all wrote songs, Richard the least. I think they’d all be able to play two to three instruments but these are the ones they’re best at. Think FOB, beyond horizon, MCR, the classics
Maria, my dear sweet Maria, is obviously based on Taylor Swift, but I don’t think she’d write the same music. To me, Maria is more of a folksy singer, piano ballads, Ingrid Michaelson, the Civil Wars (if anything, I think Loveday fits better as Taylor Swift)
Benjamin is Maria’s producer
Loveday was a one hit wonder who never wrote again (guess why lol) but she and Maria write a song together, and yes it was the best thing anyone has ever heard. Come back of the century.
Coeur is like a classical singer, I’m thinking opera/Broadway Micheal Crawford sounding ass (yes I know Tim Curry is an option but that man does not give Tim Curry vibes) after Loveday’s ‘failure’ he’s reluctant to let Robin go forward with his band.
I don’t really have an actual story to go with this ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ which is why it’s drawings and not a fanfic but whatever lol

Hello, Anon! Thanks for the message.
Re-write it? As in, go back and change what has happened? I mean, I think there's an element of that to most fan-fiction. I wrote quite a bit back in my day, mostly for Alias.
But at this point in my life, it's not for me. And I think the writers have really done a lovely job, here. That's part of what drew me in... these characters have layers. This slow burn was earned. Because at no point previously were they truly ready for one another.
I know we all like to talk about Baywatch Barbie and Curried Goat Boy simply being obstacles to Tim and Lucy. In some ways, they absolutely were. But the time afforded by these diversions offered us a glimpse of what Chenford can be at its best.
Lucy and Tim were solidified a friends in Season 3, and at the top of Season 4 they had a moment that spooked them both. They could've started dating, I suppose, but I'm so glad they didn't.
Tim facing down his childhood was so important and I love that we got to see Lucy supporting him separate from any perceived "obligation" as his girlfriend. We got to see the double date while they were dating other people that solidified how made for each other they are. Their first dance was such a surprise, and so wonderfully played.
We got to see that they were made for each other before they took the leap. So nobody could ever argue, "It was only XYZ because they were dating". We saw that—without a doubt—Tim and Lucy are endgame.
I wouldn't rewrite a thing. Now, if others want to explore different possibilities via fanfic, more power to them! I used to be one of them.
But after all the Ship Trauma I have, seeing the journey of Tim and Lucy has been quite lovely. Yes, ups and downs.
But at least it's not like Star Trek: Voyager where they paired of Chakotay at the 11th hour and didn't even give us an open-ended finale. Or like In Plain Sight where Marshall simply begged Mary to "release" him as the only real indication of that multi-year ship.
Or... Or... Oh, I can name so many others.
So, as long as they don't spontaneously combust, I'm good to stay on this ride with Chenford as-is. Thanks for the message!!

Alright, thoughts on the final forms of the Paldean Starters?
SPOILERS FOR THE STARTERS IN SCARLET AND VIOLET, Y'ALL BEEN WARNED.
Sprigatito > Meowscarada, the Magician Pokemon
Beautiful Perfect. Little jester magician cat. Looks like he'd be at home fighting NiGHTS beside Reala. I love this guy's design so dang much. Legs that look like boots that would make Tsareena envious, that awesome masquerade mask! Its animations are lovely and its animation for its signature move Flower Trick is one of my favorites. I couldn't be more happy with my choice of starter for this game. 10/10 its sitting with me and Incineroar and enjoying any salt people are crying about with it being anthro.
Fuecoco > Skeledirge, the Singer Pokemon
The fire type does not disappoint, either. It took me a while to figure out what exactly this guy was supposed to be. According to bulbapedia his head sort of looks like a lute, those bodymarkings sort of look like fancy clothes an opera singer might wear, and his face paint might relate to dia de los muertos. Y'know day of the dead and sugar skulls. And the middle evolution sort of has a similar design to Ludicolo. I don't disagree with this design interpretation at all (In fact, considering the fanfic of Deltarune I'm writing actually includes a character that uses a lute, I find that supposed detail on Skeledirge to be hilarious and fun). But I don't think that's the only thing its design looks like. With that bird balanced on its nose, and those flames on either side of its head... it looks like Tim Curry's Pennywise from It. Skeleton Clown Opera Singer Crocodile. 10/10 triggering mild coulrophobia.
Quaxly > Quaquaval, the Dancer pokemon
I will be using this pokemon if I ever do a nuzlocke. I am in love with this stupid dancing bird's design. The moment Nemona threw this pokemon into battle the first time I about lost my mind. Its wonderful. Its dancing idle animation is one of my favorite animations ever. Designwise, it feels like it references the Rio Carnival and stuff, which Bulbapedia agrees about. Though like the other two it seems like there's another element to Quaquaval. Bulbapedia points out that its fighting type could be a reference to the Capoeira martial art that includes using dancing in combat. It makes sense alongside the brazilian carnival theme this pokemon exudes. Its strange talons also seem to be a mixture of castanets and a reference to tapdancing shoes. 10/10 gonna take all my willpower not to call mine Pave. Festivale!!

1776: A Liveblogging
I am correcting a longstanding oversight in my media consumption habits by finally watching the movie version of 1776. Yeah, I know. I generally dislike and avoid musicals, especially film adaptations of stage musicals, and this will likely not change my mind about that. But since it's been memed to death I feel obligated to offer myself a crumb of context. Let us commence:
1. I am never going to get over the fact that Mr. Feeny is playing John Adams. That's Mr. Feeny.
2. Why do none of these dudes look like the people they're supposed to be playing.
3. Kinda sad that we weren't nearly as interested in defenestration as Prague, TBH.
4. Who smeared Vaseline on the lens? Yeah, see, this is the kinda musical number that doesn't work nearly so well in film as it does on stage.
5. Ugggggggggggghhhh
6. They really did Lewis Morris dirty with that wig.
7. I knew Teej was going to be horny in this musical, but I'm kinda impressed by how horny everyone else is too.
8. Yes this was the 70s, but dear God the costume choices are distracting.
9. I hate bad violin dubbing. I will say this certainly could have gone worse, but it ain't great. I am however very amused by the Frederic Pope situation they've got going on there. Dear God, is this where Francois Girard got the idea???
10. "We're Rich White Conservatives, Don't Expect Us to Have A Spine" is on point, but they really fell down on the cinematography for the corresponding dance number.
11. THIS IS NOT A GOOD SONG
12. We're really just gonna smash-cut to the Declaration from there? Okay.
13. Teehee, he said "egg".
14. This dude's fake Scottish accent is going to have me clawing at the walls. Please tell me this is not required in the script.
15. In fairness, dude's not wrong to be concerned about fishing rights...
16. This is the second time they've referenced the waltz in a musical that takes place in the 1770s.
17. Somebody really wants a cookie for this Henri Mancini rip-off number.

19. On a spiritual level this feels a little like watching Tim Curry singing "Anything Can Happen On Halloween".

24. This is the solemn, poetic ending to a musical that cannot possibly be the same as the polyester roller-coaster of bicentennial fanfic chaos that I just watched.
This was... a lot? It was a lot. I think I may have taken some psychic damage from all of the everything. Help.

Tim Curry would have been a bizarre Holmes but the 70s was full of those, it would have worked. Rocky is Watson ("with blonde hair and a tan") which means Eddie is Victor Trevor, but I can't do anything with Columbia. (Agatha the housemaid? Not a strong parallel.)
Riff-Raff being Moriarty is too obvious and is off-theme, anyway. Riff-Raff and Magenta are the cops, with Inspector Baynes as Dr. Scott. In fact the two of them can be Lestrade and Gregson. Adds a bit of weight to "They never liked me!" at the end. Shouldn't have called him a ferret, Watson. And then Brad and Janet are just helpless clients who should have known better, I think.
Mycroft's still the Criminologist.

My Top 5 Witchy Movies (based on vibe alone)

Hey everyone!
Thanks for being patient with me while I took some much-needed time away from screens this past week. I know I did it without warning, and I hope you weren’t too bummed that I didn’t post this past Wednesday and Sunday. But I’m back! And as a humble offering, I have a short post about my absolute favorite witchy movies. Please note that I’m not saying that any of these movies are in any way accurate representations of witchcraft. They’re just some of my faves.
5. Halloweentown. We know her, we love her, and we watch her every year. This was one of the first movies I saw where being a witch wasn’t an inherently evil thing (thanks, mouse!). It was the inception of my obsession with witchcraft. And honestly, I think this was one of the pieces of media that made me obsessed with granny fashion. I mean, have you SEEN Grandma Aggie? An absolute icon.
4. Twitches. Another DCOM classic. After Twitches came out, I started writing story after story about modern-day witches, which eventually led to writing a fantasy adventure story that my friends would pass around at the lunch table each time I finished a chapter (in seventh grade). I still adore the message of this movie: that love can do great things.
3. The Secret of Moonacre. Okay, this one isn’t explicitly about witchcraft but Loveday is an entire goal. The outfit, the animals, the living-in-a-weird-earthen-home-in-the-woods...all of it. Also, just the aesthetic of this movie is a vibe. The books, the boots, the giant bunny…*heart eyes* I may or may not have written fanfic about this movie in 2009. Don’t look for it. (Also, I read the source material for the movie and I was kind of disappointed. I very much prefer the movie to the book, which is NOT something I thought I’d ever say.) And, I mean, Tim Curry.
2. Hocus Pocus. Of course, it's on here. Even though the witches are the baddies, this movie is an absolute MUST every Halloween. It has such a quintessential nineties vibe to it that takes me back to a childhood I never had (born in 94 so I missed all of the good 90’s stuff first hand).
1. Practical Magic. I could watch this movie every single day and never get tired of it. It’s just enough fantasy, just enough macabre, and just enough 90’s to check off every single one of my boxes. The Aunts? Immaculate. The Sisters? Relatable. The scene at the end where all the women in town rally to help Gilly get rid of her abusive ex? Delectable.

Current Obsession: The Secret of Moonacre! If the 85,000 word fanfic I wrote in the past month is anything to go by!
Unrelated Obsession: sewing machines. Specifically antique ones and the kind that you store in the table
Any pets: one devil spawn named Thackeray Binx (black cat)
Do you have a crush on someone: you know what! For the first time in my life I do not have a crush at the moment! It’s very freeing! But I’ll put Tim Curry, because he is my celebrity crush
Favorite Fictional Character: Ever???? Ever??? Anakin Skywalker
Last place you traveled to: Portland Oregon! It’s dirty there, but I love the forests and all the nature up there
