Going off the Ingo and Emmet had a big fight before Ingo gets ebbie debbied.

I can only imagine how Spice would feel about this. Like they try to psychologically torment Ingo who only as fragments of memories, at best, of who he was and the people in his life. Spice fails, ends up being the warden's partner, and worst of all ends up having an emotional attachment with this man. Spice won't admit it, but he's come to like the strange human.

Fast forward and Ingo get undebbied from the past. Spice and the other pokemon follow cause they care deeply for Ingo and don't want him to be on his own like he was in Hisui. A wacky adventure begins and everything really looks hopeful from here on out.

And then they find Emmet and then it all goes south. Spice (in his Zoroark form) and the rest wait out as the brothers talk, until they can hear yelling. They hear the slamming of a door open and see Ingo yelling at Emmet to just listen to him, but before he can finish Emmet pushes Ingo to the ground.

All hell breaks loose. The other pokemon react but Spice is faster. He gets in-between Emmet and Ingo putting some space between the two, and while facing Emmet, he transforms. Emmet now faces himself but this him is not smiling and his eyes are full of scorn.

this scene, man. the way nimona instinctively lifts her arm to protect herself but immediately relaxes when ballister comforts her, believes him when he tells her she's safe, and goes back to sleep. there's no moment of hesitation. she trusts him completely. and then later when she wakes up again and says "i have not slept like that in forever" she slept better after he'd comforted her i- 😭

13 years later and I still can’t believe Dreamworks had the balls to just amputate a 15-year old kid and handled it in like the best way possible.

DreamWorks has always had such mature themes now that I think about it, and they introduced them and handled them in a way that seems so natural to children.

Hiccup’s amputation is such a good example.

DreamWorks didn’t gloss over it either, and even they continued, in every show and every movie from then on, to show what it’s like living with a disability like that. There were some things Hiccup had a harder time doing than before, but in no way did it get in the way of his goals and dreams.

I didn’t understand how important that was when I was a child, watching the movie for the first time, but I understand it now.

DreamWorks has guts, and I’m so happy that they do

So, despite forgetting your pen, how did the movies go? Were they great?

They WERE great! I've never seen any of the Planet of the Apes films before, so a group of us decided to try to watch them all. I managed to watch the entire original five and the first of the reboots before I gave up and I was genuinely shocked by how much I liked them?

I went in expecting not to be that into it (hence trying to bring my pen tablet) but I was actually engrossed the whole time. Well, besides for the reboot, that felt like Generic Action Movie #8, but the five originals? An absolute blast! They basically changed genres every single movie which is the coolest thing for a long franchise, it kept it really fresh! Classic Camp Scifi > Post-Apocalyptic Nuclear Age > Sitcom > Grunge Rebellion > Community Building Survival

(my favourite was the third because i didn't expect to get Time-Traveling Chimpanzees From Outer Space: The Sitcom and honestly it was the best thing i have ever seen)

The Decoy Bride is highly underrated as a romcom in my opinion. It's so good!!! And so romantic and cute and funny <333 And it has David Tennant!!!!!!

I know we've probably all said this but given that Taylor didn't learn the piano until later in her youth, I'm amazed at how not only proficient she's become at it, but just genuinely good at it. She's not only able to play but she's able to make it a whole character, and she's developed a very distinctive style of her own playing that you can pick out as kind of her signature. She has fun with it and infuses her own personality into it, not only in the serious parts but even the fun riffing at the end of her performances.

(Yes I know classically trained pianists are going to come out and say she's not an expert or doesn't have proper technique or whatever but I don't care!!! That shit is HARD and takes PRACTICE to become that good as an adult.)
