been thinking about this for a little but it’s basically what i think some campaigns would be if not podcasts, i haven’t listened to some of the older ones so i’m sorry they’re not on here :(( if you have any ideas feel free to add them btw :DD
RIPTIDE!!!!! - really long animated series
not an anime though, no matter how much grizzly wants it, it would be an animation style where the characters could have very clearly different nose, face and body shapes, really pushing my riptide nose agenda here sorry, each episode would be like 20-40 minutes long and instead of coming out in seasons there would be massive gaps in between episodes, from 2-6 months long, to leave time for writers and animators to get stuff done (massive team of animators btw, i feel like it would be pretty successful)
PRIME DEFENDERS!! - comics
literally nothing else they could be, just really well made, well performing comics (i’ve already talked about this before you can stalk my talk tag if you really want to find it lmao), the comic company making them would be keeping well away from movies n shit btw
APOTHEOSIS!!! - i wasn’t really sure about this one to be honest
i had to ask my friend and she said anime which i don’t agree with but i can see it, i think maybe a short book series where each book is 150 - 300 pages and is about a different god they have to kill/a different episode, i think that works but if anyone has any better ideas please tell me :D!!
BLOOD IN THE BAYOU!!! - i hate to say it, i really do…
bitb would be a really long really good 80s horror book with strong homoerotic undertones, a satisfied fanbase and lots of active members in the community making fan comics, films, writing, theories and art ect… until well after the book came out……….. and then it would be made into the most egregious and awful live action movie you have ever seen, the most awful casting (like chris pratt as officer dudes….. throws up) and even worse sfx, oh yeah and the characters would be ruined and the story would become so butchered it wouldn’t make sense, they would do some shit like cut out becky so kian just kisses some random lady (removing both a really good and well written character and a layer of kian’s character that i think is super important) and make rolan really be an evil bug spy the whole time so rand has to kill him to save the town also add in a whole new sub plot that never existed like the rand family is secretly a long line of bug alien hunters or something fucking stupid like that and the entire fanbase would murder whoever thought re-writing the story was a good idea (ahaha can you tell ive been through something like this before ahahaha, character morals and motives being removed and whatnot ahahahhahahaha.)

it would be well made though, unlike the bitb movie it would be its own original thing, have great makeup and effects also be well casted and well shot, well written, ect ect, it would bloody and gory and not suitable for people who can’t handle showing bones and organs all over everywhere, lots of shitty rip off merch would be made though and the fandom would be 99% gay little freaks (normal suckening enjoyers) and 1% homophobic straight white men who get mad whenever they see soda and emizel having gay sex on screen or whatever fag shit that biting thing was

hey salty! i've been a fan of the channel for a little while now, and i just wanted to tell you that you've inspired me to get out of my content burnout (even though i've only made streams as of now but it's whatever). your videos are super funny, and it's made me want to get into editing more than ever. i just wanted to ask how you made certain aspects in your videos, like having the little characters pop up and make them super expressive like in the HYAAs and the friendlockes (the new one was super good btw!) or the way you edit stuff in general. i just like how much care and effort is made for these videos and i wanna do something like it. sorry for the long ask btw it's not intentional lmao

It’s kind of difficult ro fully dive into with a simple Tumblr ask, and I’ve been meaning to do some short form editing tutorials on the side channel, but I’ll try my best to make a brief overview so you can look up the proper terms on your own for now!
There’s 3 different ways I can make stuff move and shake.
The simplest are Plug-Ins. I use Adobe Premiere for editing, and you can use free templates and plug ins and drag them onto images/footage on your timeline to do pre-made edits.
For shaking, I use these plug-ins that were made for the original Deadpool movie! Really cool that these are available for free online, super cool and accessible for anyone! And while they are made for premiere, I’m pretty sure there are other software that can also use it!

Then there’s Keyframing. This is a bit more complex and nuanced, but most editing softwares have the feature. It’s basically the manual moving of assets. The best thing about certain software, is for keyframing, all you have to do is set the points you want the image to move and the application does the rest for you and fills in the movement.
Like, if I place one keyframe on a picture where it’s on the left of the screen, and one keyframe where it’s on the right side of the screen, the software will make the picture move from left to right!
Finally, After Effects!
Compared to normal editing software, After Effects has a heavy focus on shorter visual edits instead of entire videos, but using it in combination with normal editing software can lead to some more complex edits! However in turn, After Effects can feel much harder to learn.
In After Effects, you can program/set a “Wiggle” effect on clips to get the sort of movement I have during “Have You Heard About” videos where the avatars wiggle around! I’ve made my own reusable transparent clips of each Avatar wiggling for ease of access and editing each episode.
Hope that this short break down points you in the right direction! Again, I’d love to talk more in specific about this stuff in some unscripted side channel videos, so I’d anyone has any questions on how to do stuff, let me know! I’m not a “massive brained” editor or anything, but I can def showcase how to do some stuff in the future!

We Are EP 5 Unhinged?? Tangent Thoughts
Yeah, i think my We Are tangent touhghts are less unhinged and more like normal incoherent thoughts cause of the nature of this show. but hey, it's all about the branding baby!
I just had root canal and the anesthetic shot is starting to wear off. so let's fucking go with Gay Vibes the show ep 5, the not so special loy krathong episode.
Ok fine! phum and peem were cute this episode. phum still needs a good smack or two but he was extra sweet on the not-date loy krathong and he gave peem that Super duper cute buffalo stuffy which is an automatic win in my book, sue me, i just loved when people use stuffed animals as love language (btw, there like no way a normal balloon darts booth in a temple fair would have that kind of detailed looking merch thing irl.) i liked that it's phuwin who get to kissed pond first this time around. i know that the "นายเอก" characters are supposed to be stand in for all the girlies but in the year of not my lord 2567, just let the bottoms be BOLD and Horny! more of this plz.
I think aou is one of the best gmmtv boys in term of acting skill and difinitely the storngest with comedy in my opinion. i loved him even when the script was kinda meh as the slimy senior in Enchante. and i absolutely adored him in Be My favorite. the tangfang loy kratong confession scene in this episode was mesmerizing to watch, the chemistry was oozing and its was delicious. although i've been gushing non stop only about aou since this show started, boom definitely is a perfect casting choice for fang. we haven't got a lot of scene with fang but i 100% understand why tan is in love with him. this man is so cool and aloof that it make sense that someone hyper like tan would falls head over heels for.
Toey contiuned to be cute as heck and such a delighful little cupid for peem and phum. and Satang got to sings my favorite BL opening i truly had been blessed.
So chain is a manwhore who would have thought. ok, i might be delulu here and just want to make excuse for my man chain but from the interactions he had with those girls i think he just like taking care of other people. maybe he dated every person who confessed to him and rolls with it because he care too much not to hurts their feelings. anyways this man doesn't need a girlfriend he need a puppy and well well he happened to have the most puppy personification person alive by his side :3
Lastly i want to talk about loy krathong. so i myself never vibe with valentine day, growing up i felt it's too commercialized, too pink, too heartsy, and definitely too hetero. so in my opinion valentine just fail miserably as a day about love. and here come loy krathong although it's not originally a holiday celebrating love it did what valentine couldn't for me. floating those krathongs with my family, friends, and maybe one day someone special *cry in single* are to me a more fitting act of cerebrating love of all kinds than going on a date and giving chocolate on a day some dead priest who probably hated queer people died (i have no knowledge about the actual lore of this day and i also doesn't care. 😗) what i want to say is that loy krathong in thai BLs = Yay! valentine in thai BLs = Boo!

Lore Olympus Episode 244 Spoilers
And of course the narrative finds a way to twist itself so that Persephone's in the right to disrespect Zeus' decision and take his kid away from him.
Should've seen that coming.
At least I get to see Zeus roasting Persie before he fucks off into the void again.
The way Persephone herself acknowledges that she made a fucking stupid decision right there and completely threw her partner under the bus in the process.
"You have every right to be furious with me right now. Why aren't you angry?"
Because Hades knows if he in any way calls you out or gets mad at you, RS will make him the next antagonist and assassinate his established character to justify it. (Not that there would be much to assassinate in the first place.)
No one's allowed to criticize you in this comic Persie, no worries.
Holy shit, I know we made jokes that Persie only wanted to keep Dyonisus so badly 'cause he's a mini-version of Papa Smurf, but she actually admits that's the case here, I fucking can't. Oh, and also that she once again lied to Hades about something that concerned him just as much as it did her, but that's normal at this point.
"If you want to confiscate Zeus' baby because he's incompetent, I will support you."
Okay, one: Fuck off, Hades. Dyonisus is not a thing that you can take away. But I guess you're used to taking other people's children just because. It's what you did to Demeter.
Second: Sir, you're the last person in the entire fucking multiverse to call someone else's parenting incompetent. Your son is still an emotionally scarred mess to this day because you couldn't be arsed to provide proper child care. At least Zeus was willing to do that. Growing up with nymphs is still leagues above growing up with a guy who shows more affection to his dogs than the small scared child who was abandoned by his mother. Speaking of, said son is still missing btw.
It's gotten to the point where even Persephone admits she's fucking useless as Queen of the Underworld, because RS won't let her develop or be powerful in her own way. Everything about her, down to her very self-esteem is tied to Hades. She can't even go giant on her own, even though Zeus and Hades can. Even though she's supposedly this super-powerful fertility goddess.
RS, lampshading your comic's rushed plot isn't going to magically make it better.
And now they remember Thanatos is still MIA. Just had to prop up Persie's ego a bit first, I guess.
Ares is unironically the best character in this chapter, he's just as annoyed with hxp's bs as I am.
Oh shit, Leuce run! Persie is looking for another poor peasant to torture so she can feel better about herself!
That child deity is still trapped and being tortured in Tartarus, by the by.

So I remember you saying that when tv studios are making their shows, nothing is left to chance and every decision they make is carefully put together, right? And when they first revealed the title for the fourth episode I didn't really knew it was the name of a song by Ella Fitzgerald, it's only recently that I read the lyrics of the song and it must mean something right? Because it's obviously a love/pining song.
Btw I was meaning to ask about your favorite Eddie/Buck moments that made you think "There's no way this is platonic" of course you don't have to explain in detail if you don't feel like it or don't have the time but it's always joy to read what you have to say about buddie 🙏😄
Hi there! Sorry for the delayed response! As typical of me, my opinion on episode titles is gonna be on the realistic side and this answer is kinda rambley. Obviously, episode titles reflect the content of what the episode will be about, but it isn't always exactly what it seems on the surface. And that's on purpose, we usually get episode titles in advance before the episode airs and they don't want it to spoil the entire thing (hence why I don't think "placeholder titles" like "henren begins" or "buddie begins" are real).
911 has been known to borrow some of their titles from well-known movies. Examples: "Love, Actually" -> "Buck, Actually", "Oceans 11" -> "Oceans 9-1-1". "Brawl in Cell Block 99" -> "Brawl in Cell Block 9-1-1".
They've also been known to copy super common phrases. Examples: "Careful What You Wish For", or "The One That Got Away".
They also use quite a lot of questions in the titles. Examples: "What's Next?" and "9-1-1, What's Your Grievance?" and of course a million 911 puns.
When it comes to song titles, that's a little harder to judge. Song titles often have common phrases like the ones mentioned above in them, so some titles could coincidentally overlap with song titles. One example is "Wrapped in Red" which is also a Christmas love song. Or they have episodes like "Love Is In the Air" where the song is also played in the episode ending montage. These are also just common phrases and don't necessarily have to be associated with a song.
"Buck, Bothered and Bewildered" is a bit of an odd case (as is "You Don't Know Me" but for a different reason), because it is undeniably the title of a very well-known song. But plenty of other shows have made use of the title and song in episodes before so it's not exactly unprecedented.
In my opinion, I don't think we should be taking the song lyrics themselves 100% at face value and expect them to translate point for point into the episode. That's just a bit unrealistic. BUT I do think the overall vibe of the song, and the general meaning of the phrase "bothered and bewildered" can be taken as a general idea of overall themes that will be explored in the episode, but not just for Buck, even though his name is titular this time. Episode titles almost always refer to the general themes that ALL prominent characters with arcs in this episode are feeling. So chances are it will apply to Athena, Chimney, and Eddie too. My speculation is likely that Chimney is also going to be confused by Buck's actions (and possibly something to do with Maddie) And Eddie will likely also be very very bothered and bewildered by Buck's actions and feelings in this episode. Maybe Tommy too?
I am fairly positive this episode will provide huge hints and steps in the right direction toward buddie canon. And I also want people to remember that characters DO NOT always have everything figured out. Just like normal humans, they can misunderstand their own feelings, not recognize the truth/gravity/context of their feelings, and even LIE (straight to the audience's face) about their feelings. Here is where learning how to (realistically) read subtext and not be afraid of it comes in.
As for "friends wouldn't do that" moments, well I think @useramor explained it best with their post here. ALL of buddie's moments could have a platonic reading to them, but it's the extra layers of desperation, hiding feelings unnecessarily, the lack of boundaries, the merging of entities, and the way they can never actually acknowledge or define their relationship in any true way, that makes almost all of their moments ALSO read as romantic. In my opinion, if writers want a moment to be read as entirely platonic with little to no room for romantic readings, there are ways to do so where at least most of your audience will understand. Instead, the 911 writers tend to place nearly all of buddie's interactions in a platonic-romantic limbo, and I personally think that's on purpose. Biding time, if you will.

So getting drunk while watching stranger things actually just leads to me going into full conspiracist mode and thinking EVERYTHING means smth and taking over 200 “evidence” pictures from literally only the first couple of episodes from st4 🥸
Out of all my pics I think this shiz is the most interesting:
First things first this feels a lil on the nose for stranger things. Like "expression necessary to evolution" feels like they're saying "expressing our true selves leads to acceptance and change for the better because being normal sucks ass"
The bball game may actually be st5 final battle foreshadowing along with the dnd game cause wtf is up with these numbers... like we get 20 (which from the dnd game is the winning number but from this game its a stepping stool which is v interesting), we get 11 decked out in red, and Jason and Lucas have a difference of 4 (that's revelevant cause we've seen MULTIPLE time byler and eleven have numbers surouding them have a difference of four).

Secret Invasion (Spoilers) and arguments for and against more Maria in the series
Hey Maria stans I know yesterday was brutal and if you are like me she was the only reason you are watching secret invasion and most anything in the MCU. I have some hope we will still see Cobie/Maria in more Secret Invasion and I convinced myself last night when I couldn’t sleep because of how dirty they did her that maybe she’s not totally gone. It’s very cruel how they had her do so much press and stuff but they did it to mess with us (DURING PRIDE)! And it’s such a cruel and unbelievable way for her to go from the universe that I just cannot believe it.
While she’s probably definitely dead because she’s a woman in the OG MCU over 35… (great look marvel btw) and in my heart I feel like she’s really gone but here’s some arguments for both sides

Cobie saying “most depth” she’s been able to do with her is about the emotional depth of the last scene since Maria almost never gets to show any emotion or feeling and I really think what she said was taken out of context, she said there as no backstory for her or really anything so this might be it!
All of the outfits Maria wears in the clips in trailers or photos have been used in the first episode but marvel is smart about that

Fringe theories I have no support for but want:
Maria has secretly been dating Dr. Helen Cho since Age of Ultron and she saves the day since she is also in Russia
Dr. Strange magic ?? There is allegedly a cameo of someone we don’t know coming up in the series. Maybe it’s Doctor Strange and he uses his magic that I don’t understand and Fury gets a redo and saves Maria? the episode is called resurrection and different lines were used in the teaser trailer than were in the episode?
She just pretended to die since Gravik was gonna shoot her in the head but she is gonna just retire now and finally take a break because after all this isn’t the first time she’s died and come back.
At the end of Secret Invasion she comes out of the shadows all Winter Soldier like “you just needed that extra push” and goes full Fury on Fury to get him back to normal--and she’s totally fine. Totally fine.
Also no one I know watches Marvel and I need to discuss this with someone because my heart shattered into a million pieces! Let me know what you think!

we don't see exactly How cxs starts falling, but we can see it happens right after he claps hands with lu guang, the latter looking like a glitch/not really there 🤨 that's cruel
then later qiao ling, emma and the new hottie look at him as he falls, and later we can see a shot of those three plus lu guang watching him fall and fall. cxs reaches out but it's useless (pls this is heartbreaking) the feeling of helpness while cxs falls is conveyed throughout the whole video it almost gives me vertigo
and i want to point out WHY has this new hottie also got yellow eyeeeeees ????? does it have something to do with cxs's powers or those are his normal eyes or
there's also this, qiao ling looking at him and then turning around 😢 no don't be like that

once again this opening is by far my most favourite of all and the song is incredibly good, today i saw the behind the scenes/making of the music and what can i say, they're all so talented and they sound amazing. it took them about a year to finish the song and it turned out beautifully, kudos to all the people who worked together to make this masterpiece, im in love
(spoilers for season two in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1)
on another hand, i'm soooo enjoying the donghua and this second season started off tense and full of action which i LOVED, the animation is smoooooth and i was so relieved to see lu guang was alive😢 i mean he couldn't possibly die but anyways. definitely my favourite part were the action scenes 11/10 but qiao ling's "what i need is your trust!" made my chest HURT okay it physically hurt. god.
the second episode ended in a cruel cliffhanger 😃 i try to get used to it, but nope. btw the ED song melting with the ending of the episodes always sounds spectacular.
i'm really looking forward to the next episode, i can't wait for red-eyes revelation 🤔 and i pray that nothing bad happens to lu guang (again) i think i saw blood when he was walking to lock the door :(( you need rest bby

It turns out, I didn’t have time to ruminate on the difficulty of the night, because our job wasn’t over yet.
After discussing where we’d meet Dimo Reeves and the members of the Interior Police, we head there immediately to ensure we’d beat them there since we had to move on foot.
Catching up with Levi, I whisper so as to not worry everyone else, but I have to air out my worries about this plan.
“Levi, do you really think this will work? We didn’t have to do anything to turn Reeves. How do we know he won’t run right to them, give up our location, and instead of a wagon with two Interior Police it’s an entire brigade?”
“We don’t know,” he deadpans. I stand there waiting for him to elaborate and after a beat, he does. “The only thing we have going for us is that the Interior Police coerced his cooperation. We brought it about through appealing to his humanity. I don’t often put my faith in humanity,” he pauses to glance at me and then quickly looks away again before finishing, “but I think I trust humanity more than the MPs.”
I nod, contemplative silence engulfs us.
“Levi?” I ask.
“What?” he responds, without the bite that his tone normally has towards me.
“...what’s the difference between MPs and the Interior Police? And…what does MP stand for?” I’ve learned a lot, but there are still things I can’t piece together with context clues alone.
He looks at me again, and this time I swear his face is softer, almost like he’s speaking to a child.
I don’t know what’s worse, being looked at like a child or being berated.
Much to my surprise, he explains what the Military Police are and how the Interior Police are a part of the larger group. Most importantly though, he explains why the MPs aren’t trustworthy.
“Glad to see that some things never change, regardless of culture or location,” I muse more to myself than to him.
“Human greed is one of the only guarantees in life,” Levi states as we arrive at our destination.
Did I just have a good, real conversation with Levi? I…I don’t think I can believe it.
Not long after we arrive at what looks like an old farmhouse, we hear a wagon coming over the hill. The stone is in place. All we can do is wait.
The sound of Reeves speaking with someone is slightly comforting, and as they begin to crest the hill I let out a breath I didn’t know I was holding at the sight of only one wagon.
So, he did help us. Damn y/n, maybe you should stop being so judgemental. First Levi, now this guy? Maybe everyone isn’t always a bad person…
I overhear Reeves speaking harshly with his son, something about smelling easy money and long-term profit.
Ah, nope, still a bad person. Just his greed lines up with the greater good for now. At least I’m founded in the way I see people.
The two members of the Interior Police are separated into different cells. What kind of farmhouse has cells? Levi bans us from coming down. Soon, the tell-tale sounds of violence can be heard, even with the door to the basement closed. After sitting there, listening in varying degrees of horror, Hange bursts into the house with Moblit not far behind. We make eye contact and I nonchalantly motion my head towards the door. Reclining in the dining chair, I mildly state, “follow the screams.” Not another word is said as they disappear downstairs to join Levi.
As the yelling intensifies, everyones’ stomachs turn. Even mine.
I know I’ve seen a lot in my day but, this…this is too much even for me. I don’t know how the kids are even upright.
I’m in my own world, disassociating. Everything is slightly blurry. Noises muffled. I haven’t visited this corner of my mind in a while, but I know it’s safe. It always has been and always will be.
When I realize I’m disassociating, I force myself back into reality.
This is a slippery slope for you y/n. Come on, pull it together. If not for you, for them.
When I tune back into the conversation, I hear Armin say, “...it’s just that their views are different. No, it’s just that they’re in a different group. And for that, we’ll take their lives.”
“Armin,” Mikasa tries to intervene.
“We’re not good people, not anymore at least.” As Armin finishes speaking, I can tell they’re all taking what he’s saying to heart.
I decide to break the silence before any of them are left alone with their own thoughts for too long. “Ya know, while I’m only barely older than each of you, I’ve seen a lot of life in my day. If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that there’s really no such thing as ‘good people’ or ‘bad people.’ People might choose to do good or bad things, but that’s not what makes them who they are.” I pause to look around, and it seems like only Armin is looking at me. Like he’s desperately searching for me to give him a way out of how he currently feels.
I continue, “Of course, there are exceptions to this concept, I would say anyone that finds joy in doing bad things is a bad person. But the harsh reality of the world is that the few bad people, force good people to do bad things. At the end of the day it’s kill or be killed.”
Mikasa bristles beside me and at this point, I know they’re all hearing me but I can’t tell if it’s helping. So, I switch tactics. “Think about it this way: we all believe that one way or another, Eren is going to be the key to finding new information and, hopefully, eliminating the titans, right?” I pause until I see them all nod. “We don’t know what these people have planned. Maybe they want to kill him. Maybe they just want to keep him locked away to prevent us from finding answers. Either way, their actions are directly preventing us from using the only tool at our disposal which in turn prevents us from saving humanity. If they aren’t stopped now, whatever beliefs they’re protecting could hurt the larger society. I know, it doesn’t make the idea or practice of taking out real people any more palatable, but that’s because all of you are good people.”
When I step down from my soap box, I can feel them all internalizing what I was talking about. Maybe I’m just gaslighting myself so that I can feel better, but looking at all of their faces it seems like what I said did end up helping.
In the softest voice, Armin speaks up next to me and asks, “what about the torture though? It’s not ‘torture or be tortured.’”
As if to prove his point, another blood curdling cry can be heard ringing out and we all flinch. I turn back to him and, with a hand on his arm, I say the only thing I can think of. “If the day comes that one of us,” I motion to everyone at the table, “has to torture someone, then we’ll talk about it. But for now, let’s just cope knowing that we aren’t in that position.”
Since no one was really in the mood to sleep, I suggested we all go outside and keep watch together. They liked that idea.
I stayed behind momentarily to make us all some tea, and it was as I strode across the kitchen that I heard the man in the basement berating Hange and Levi. It took every ounce of strength I had for me to not march down there like some entitled mother accosting their child’s bully. Luckily, I didn’t have to restrain myself for very long because Levi then quickly called a break.
When they came upstairs for a breather, I could tell how much the task weighed on them.
If there were another way, they’d have taken it. If there were another way, they’d have taken it. If there were another way, they’d have taken it.
As I repeat my little mantra to myself, I offer all of them, Moblit included, cups of tea.
“I’m making a big batch for the kids, would any of you like a cup? I had them go outside to ‘keep watch together’ since no one was tired, but I already figured I’d make enough for the three of you anyway.” I smile as kindly as I can at them.
They’re going through so much as well, they don’t have the luxury of going outside.
Hange begins to decline my offer saying, “Thanks b-”
“Sure, I’ll take a cup. It better not be shitty though,” Levi cuts her off.
I grin widely at them now and, while pouring three cups, say, “Zuko’s uncle that I traveled with now owns his own tea shop in Ba Sing Se’s version of the interior so you could say I learned from the best.”
Placing the cups in front of them, I accidentally bump Levi’s hand. Luckily he had taken his gloves off, but it still made me jump a little. Holding eye contact with just Levi, I say to the group, “you’ll have to give me a review once you try it.” I turn back around and start loading the six teacups for the kids and I onto a big plate I found to act as a tray.
Levi raises an eyebrow at me and says, “you sure you got that?”
I pick up the tray with ease and smirk at him, smugly saying, “I was a waitress in Uncle Iroh’s tea shop, I think I’ll manage.”
With that, I’m out the door to deliver tea and they’re off to continue what they’ve gotta do.
The six of us quietly look at the stars for a while and, disregarding the day’s events, it was almost peaceful. However, we’re not out there for 15 minutes before Moblit is coming to fetch us because they have information.
Once all of us have reentered the house, they waste no time in telling us that Historia is the rightful heir to the throne. Hange also tells us that she thinks if a mindless titan were to eat someone with abilities like Eren’s that they’d turn back into a human. And when she says there’s a chance the government has their OWN titan, Mikasa loses her shit.
I think Levi might be the only one strong enough to hold her back…when did I even get on board with this “Humanity’s Strongest” bullshit?
And so, the long night gets longer as we head to Reis’s estate. However, that wasn’t going to be a quick or easy trip, especially not without horses or wagons. So, camping in the woods became a necessity.
Living in the woods. Now we’re speaking my language.
We adopted a typical setup - someone kept watch while the others rested. Levi volunteered for the first watch and I volunteered for the second. Funny though, seeing as neither of us sleep very much, so we just sort of did both shifts together.
We sit on high alert, completely silent, for what feels like hours. It wasn’t until I assumed his shift was supposed to technically be ending that either one of us spoke.
“I’m not going to sleep any time soon, if you want I’ll just take your shift and you can get some rest,” Levi spoke softly in my direction.
I respond at the same volume, “If I thought I’d be able to sleep, I’d have done it hours ago. You’re welcome to join me for my shift, the company and the second set of eyes both greatly appreciated, but you certainly don’t have to. If you can sleep, I implore you to.”
Levi settles back in, and I’m assuming that will be the end of our conversation, but I’m surprised when he speaks again. “You don’t sleep much.”
I snort. “Was that a question or an observation?”
“Both.”
“In that case, I could ask you the same thing.”
We stare at each other for a moment. For the first time, I notice that he’s so pale that it looks like he’s almost glowing in the moonlight. His skin is in stark contrast to his dark hair, which if it weren’t for the shine, would disappear completely into the surroundings.
Yo, what the fuck dude? Why are you analyzing this little shit like this?
At my thoughts, I break eye contact and he finally says, “well, in that case, you’d be correct.”
I have to strain to even remember what we were talking about in the first place.
Shit it’s been a long time since I got laid. I can’t believe a little eye contact with a man - with LEVI at that - has got my wires all crossed.
When I finally remember, I simply ask, “Why is that?”
Almost too quickly, he responds, “too much work to be done.”
“How many times have you rehearsed that line?”
I can feel him snap to look at me, but I keep staring into the distance. When he doesn’t respond, I chuckle to myself before following up by saying, “oh come on, you’ve seen nightmare inducing shit in the time I’ve known you. That’s not to mention whatever the hell you’ve seen that’s made your survival instincts so sharp.”
At this, I finally turn to him and I’m surprised by what I see. There’s shock on his face but something else entirely that I can’t quite place. Vulnerability, maybe? Whatever it is, this is the first time he doesn’t wipe his face clear of emotion the second someone looks at him. Realizing he won’t say anything of his own accord, I put my hand on his shoulder and smile empathetically.
I say, “I have ‘em too, if that makes you feel better. I guessed you did because, from experience, no one chooses to get less than four hours of sleep a night.”
He looks away, and almost under his breath mumbles, “it doesn’t.”
I’m confused. “What doesn’t?”
“It doesn’t make me feel better that you have them too. I wouldn’t wish them on anyone, let alone…a comrade.”
His pause strikes me as odd, but I don’t think much about it. Instead I just reply, “yeah, I’m with ya there.”
Silence blankets us once again, but this time it feels different. Any tension, mistrust, or ill-will I previously harbored towards Levi seems to have mostly evaporated. Now, the silence is comfortable.
Again, I’m surprised when Levi speaks. This time, there’s a bit more authority to his voice when he asks, “so, can I anticipate you always being that reckless on missions or was today first-time-nerves?”
I raise an eyebrow. “Reckless? What did I do today that was reckless?”
He huffs. “It would be easier to tell you what wasn’t reckless.”
Now I’m downright indignant. “I still don’t understand. I didn’t get hurt, I didn’t get anyone else hurt. Honestly, I don’t see any instance where I was more reckless than you.”
He side eyes me, but this doesn’t seem to ruffle him as much as I had wanted it to. “Despite me specifically saying you were to stay with me, you intentionally left my side twice: once on the roof and once when we were using gear. Not to mention standing in between the shooter and Jean.”
All I can do is roll my eyes. “None of what you just said was reckless, I merely took some calculated risks. If I hadn’t gotten off that roof, Kenny at the very least would have seen me and then known he was looking for two people instead of just you. My ODM skills aren’t strong enough to out maneuver him. And on that same topic, that’s also the reason I split off from you later. I was already using ODM gear and I knew I had a better chance against anyone that wasn’t Kenny. And I was right. They weren’t able to harm a single hair on my head whereas I took out, like, four or five of them. Plus, if I had followed you, I would have been in your way. It’s hard enough to survive when you’re only looking out for yourself but if you had had to worry about me, too? It’s possible we wouldn’t even be having this conversation now. As for getting in front of Jean…” I stop.
Realistically, I know that it was a bit reckless to do that. But I’m not about to admit that to Levi.
“I knew I could disarm her better than Jean could. Especially given that he had just lost his weapon. Disarming her gave her enough pause that Armin could kill her. I also figured that if necessary, I’d have an easier time killing her than Jean since he had already hesitated once.” I got a lot quieter as I finished talking.
Levi contemplates what I said before saying, “I’ll give you that your reasoning was sound for separating. I still think it was dangerous and would have been safer if you had just stuck with me like I had told you,” I roll my eyes again, which he ignores, “but throwing yourself in front of a gun is still downright reckless. I can’t support that choice even though you may have thought it out.”
The mood is heavy but I just smile and shrug, hoping to lighten the mood by saying, “agree to disagree.”
He scoffs again, but clearly opts to not press the matter further. Perhaps it’s because the sun was rising and with it, everyone would be waking up soon.
Before everyone else wakes up, I decide to return the olive branch that he had extended to me by changing to a lighter topic. “You never told me how the tea was.”
Truth be told, I was expecting a glowing review, even from him. So when he simply shrugs and says, “it was…fine,” I was more than a little offended.
“Fine?! I tasted that tea myself, it was better than fine.” I scoff and turn away from him, mumbling to myself, “and just when I was starting to think you were a halfway decent person.”
For the umpteenth time tonight, he surprises me, this time by chuckling. I snap my head back to look at him and find him already glancing in my direction. His eye contact mixed with his amusement and, dare I say, warmth made me feel…strange. Not bad, not uncomfortable. Just, strange.
Still looking at me, he explains, “it wasn’t bad, I just think your water wasn’t hot enough.”

His eyebrows shoot up, but he’s clearly not angry when he retorts, “Oh really now? I’m the annoying one?”
Before I have a chance to respond our attention is pulled away by the sound of some of the kids starting to stir. Sasha’s sleepy eyes suddenly make me very jealous of the rest she and the others got and if I had known what the coming days would hold, I might have tried harder to get some sleep.

au where the hunting dogs disband and jouno and tecchou join the agency together (they both need some purpose, some sense of justice to act out and they don't know where else to go). tachihara returns and stays with the mafia, and brings teruko with him because they don't want to separate. i feel like she'd hate being a mafia agent (i know nothing about her, i haven't watched season 5 and i last saw 4 when it released) so maybe she just lives with tachi. i wonder what jouno and tecchou would do if they were on a mission to stop the mafia and encountered tachihara again....

ANYWAY
first i’ll talk about teruko. i do not see her going into the mafia however i can her sticking with tachihara. i wonder if it would create some sort of tension or if they’d just let each other live? hmmm i’ll have to ponder that idea. i do 100% see tachihara going back into the mafia though, he found his place there.
jouno and tetchou joining the ada would be really fun i think. i could see maybe some tension due to what happened in the whole "dogs hunt dogs" episode, however since it was a misunderstanding i can see them being forgiven easily as well.
i feel like jouno would have a hard time adjusting. he has a low temper with tetchou i can just imagine how short he would be with some of the ada members. i could see him arguing with ranpo and dazai a lot. and possibly getting along with kunikida since he wouldn’t be an ass.
id like to see jouno and dazai talk normally though. their pasts parallel each other a good bit! i feel their conflicting morals would make them not particularly get along however it could make for some interesting interactions. i will go on about that in another post eventually
i feel like overall jouno would rather stick to tetchou as well as anyone who will treat him as a superior instead of the others.
as for tetchou. literally all i want is for him to mentor kenji. like they’re basically friends now, they’re similar in morals/principles, and are both very direct with everything they say/think. that combined with them having similar physical capabilities i could see tetchou training kenji well and taking on a mentor/older brother figure.
i also feel like kunikida would like tetchou. he’s very direct and i doubt he’s a disruption, they’d get along well.
in contrast i feel like junichiro would probably be intimidated by him. not sure why, just how i feel.
i also don’t think dazai would have much fun with him, since he probably isn’t easily bothered by the silly antics dazai likes to do.
unfortunately i don’t know how this would work if the hunting dogs require surgery to live still. jouno and tetchou would probably be fine since they’re still affiliated with law enforcement but tachihara would likely die. that’s a post for another time i suppose.
OH! and encountering tachihara. huge angst potential here that sounds really hard to do. i could see them trying to bring tachi back since he has proven himself to be good before? i don’t know if it would work but even tachi said before the hunting dogs weren’t bad either. he just needs a place to be himself
but anyways i really like this idea!!! i love imagining how the different characters would interact w/ each other :)

inhaling so heavily so so heavily,, hey guys its me im back. ninjago.
This is just a huge rant about me HATING how trauma is handled in this show. ignore this if you do not want to see my HORRORS.
WHY. IS TRAUMA NOT A FUCKING THING IN THIS STUPID ASS SHOW. Im on another rewatch because im FUCKING INSANE but it drives me actually mad that there are so many downright horrific things that happen to these characters that are just NEVER addressed. lets talkabout the fucking first one that caught my eye when I was first watching the show!!! Im basically going from least infuriating to most infuriating, im trying to cut this show some slack but dear god.
!!WHY IS COLE OKAY MAN. HE LITERALLY DIEEED. HE TURNED INTO A GHOST. listen Iknow ninjago death means nothing, and im going to talk about that too but he literally could have ceased to exist if he so much as touched water. after he got his body back, why was this never FUCKING mentioned. I think. if I was in a perpetual state of being horrified my existence would amount to nothing and id just stop BEING when I touched some clear shit coming out of my sink id be pretty scarred for life. I loved possession man, but this happened to TWO CHARACTERS. TWOOO.
AND THE OTHER CHARACTER IS LLOYD. lets not even MENTION that hes been exploited the moment everyone found out he was a green ninja, and before that a bunch of grown ass people were bullying a CHILD WHO IS ACTUALLY HOMELESS, lets talk about how his fucking body was taken over by Morro while he ALSO worries about his DAD BEING STUCK IN THE FUCKING UNDERWORLD. IM LOSING IT. IM LOSSINGG ITT.
On a smaller note, MISAKO ABANDONED LLOYD. KILL HER. I am the hashtag misako hater garmadon deserves better. The show made no attempt for them to bond or try to make amends for what happened when Lloyd was a kid, she barely appears at all really and it just makes me fucking despise her.
ALSO MORRO. this kid. reminding you, CHILD, fucking died in a cave. the cave we SAW in the pilot, if i remember right which is FUCKING INSANE>,,?? we SEE HIS SKELETON. THAT IS A CHILDS SKELETON. never mentioned again after episode 8 I don't think.
now the MEAT. THE MEATT. whatever the FUCK went on with garmadon after he got resurrected. They actually did cover this a bit with how Lloyd acted around garmadon, but crystalized also sucked ass and really gave us nothing on how Garmadon felt about this. on god im so sick that hes so normal shaped in crystalized too, He was literally growling with every breath in sons of garmadon why is he normal now. Its been years, i get it. also the Garmadon comic. but he SHOULDNT be a normal person whos just an asshole, I want him to be feral okay?? ok??? I am playfully gesturing to Devils Horns by TeuthidaRegina (did i spell that right. idk man. Its a super fucking good fanfic.)
ALSO Vinnys apartment is very inaccurate there should be scratch marks on the walls and then they should kiss.
ANYWAYS Besides this, Lloyd being mad at Garmadon was really all we got for how *he* was effected by his once loving father now randomly coming back with his ribs exposed and only being able to say like. 3 words. and also him immediately trying to kill Lloyd. I feel like we should have gotten a LOT more man.
Now this isn't really a problem with the show (Its a huge problem in crystalized but that's a given) but more a problem with the fandom, so that's why I'm putting it at the end. this does not hold relevancy over garmadon becoming a BEAST. (also garmadon becoming a beast is the best thing that ever happened in this show btw. you all are wrong and he should have been animalistic from the beginning. still nice. but he should have also growled. all the time.) My issue is with how people portray harumi. I already had my Harumi spout in a post I made earlier, but I only mentioned the toxicity of the ship with her and Lloyd a little bit. Let us THINK BACK on how she literally feels nothing for Lloyd at all. He was a stepping stone in getting Garmadon back, and she probably straight up hates him. She pretends to like him to manipulate him into helping her resurrect garmadon ok?? do we understand??
Ive seen actual tags on AO3 that say "no harumi hate here" and I am so done. all the harumi hate. dont FUCKING talk to me if you want to justify the downright horrendous things shes done. That ship is toxic as hell and Lloyd is downright being abused AGAIN for like the FIVE BILLIONTH TIME IN HIS LIFE. I dont care man. shes an abusive bitch. i HATE HER. Crystalized made the worst fucking decision trying to justify her and I genuinely hate whoever thought that was a good and right decision to make. If she comes back in dragons rising i hope she dies AGAIN, but Im honestly rooting for them to ignore crystalized's existence.
Now finally, this is the absolute peak of how Ninjago shittily handles trauma. the ICE EMPEROR. Zane was stuck in a fucking hellscape of a realm for like. what was it. EIGHTY YEARS??? he went fucking mad man, he turned into a bloodthirsty tyrant during that time. and when this seasons conflict was fixed with the "power of friendship" the show literally mentions that the ice emperor is STILL INSIDE ZANES NOGGIN. AND WHAT DOTHEY DOO?? THEY MAKE IT INTO A FUCKING JOKE. its honestly almost disgusting to me how they handled it, Zane has DIED BEFORE. that's bad. he should have trauma. BUT Zane LITERALLY HAS A BLOODTHIRSTY KILLER IN HIS FUCKING HEAD. DO NOT JOKE ABOUT THIS SHIT. ACTUALLY. HE SHOULD HAVE SOME RELUCTANCE TO USING HIS POWERS OR SOMETHING, ANYTHING MAN. HE KILLLED AN ENTIRE RACEE.
Genuinely this is one of my favorite shows, and I love adding onto the shaky ass plot and making it better, but I cannot DEAL with this. Im going to throw in the shit that happened in the spinjitzu brothers book, because oh my god Wu and Garmadon should be fucked up with all the stuff they have had to deal with for like. 5 thousand years. but its fine. its okay. its the book series. I wont mention it. (that book series is so good please release the final book please) ((I LOVE wu and garmadon they are some of my favorite characters in the ENTIRE series im blinking my eyes at you. please go indepth on those two. also give Wu a dragon form, or an Oni form, or literally anything he IS NOT HUMAN.)
Also if anyone tells me im ignoring skybound its because I do not need to say anything about skybound. we all know what happened. we ALLL know what the fuck they did to Nya. and fucking. mister possibly a pedo creep man who does not care about consent. I dont even remember his name thats how bad I hate him .

some of my simmosa headcanons:
amy does the aster flores thing where she has a look for whenever she wants to be kissed.
jonah has letterboxd. he also runs an account for amy (named “my girlfriend amy” which appropriately gets changed to “my wife amy” once they get married) that blows up because she has funny things to say about films but no patience to document them. meanwhile his account has the patron tier, over a thousand films logged, and cleverly articulated reviews with meticulous ratings but only 9 followers.
amy wore the ring that jonah stole to get her measurements a lot while she was in california. mostly as a reminder of the mistake she’ll inevitably understand that she made but also because it’s strangely comfortable to have on.
jonah started a podcast right after the breakup. he stopped recording episodes after accidentally letting marcus move in with him and i’ve got no idea what it would be about but i think he would set up the stupidly costly mic that he bought online in front of amy’s plants and pretend they were his audience.
amy gets super into video games again over the pandemic. in between binge watching shows and attending corporate meetings, she becomes a real acnh woman, much to the dismay of emma. when she and jonah get back together, she forces him to play lovers in a dangerous spacetime. they kill it at that game in spite of whatever argument might ensue.
a list of some shows i think jonah has watched: succession, severance, the west wing, the wire, lost, black mirror, charmed.
the recall room stayed even after they converted cloud 9 into a fulfillment center since no one else knew about it, so amy and jonah still sneak in there sometimes for the fun of it. when they visit dina and the others for the first time, they disappear after ten minutes and everybody thinks they either got lost or crushed by some packages. (let’s be honest, they’re having another town hall moment.)
couples costumes they would do: elizabeth and philip jennings, climate change (she’s a polar bear and he’s a melting ice cap), romeo and juliet (specifically from the baz luhrmann movie obviously, though this is based off an original script of the pilot that has a nod to the fish tank scene, even though it was actually between jonah and dina but that is not important.)
so they’ve both always absolutely been bi to me. it’s an unspoken thing at work for jonah, so amy is the first person he actually tells, voices aloud that this is who he is a person, and that’s what she’s signing up for when they finally start dating. and it gets gears turning in her head. this is a lot of projection on my end but i think amy looks back at the women she filed away as formative role models in her head and wonders whether there was something more there. remembers how she always thought someone like missy jones looked so gorgeous but thought that had more to do with being blinded by her talent. jonah helps amy figure out her feelings for women once he finds out she thought staring at them all the time was a normal thing to do.
they have the same taste in people. i have a whole episode made up in my mind about them figuring this out and the discovery spiraling to the point that they have everybody in the break room naming truly anyone to see if they both have a crush on the person or not. they have multiple whiteboards with the most complicated system ranking countless celebrities and the whole thing ends when jonah asks amy if she actually finds him attractive but she successfully avoids giving him an answer by making out with him. she does btw but she would never tell him because it would go to his head immediately and he would never let her live it down.
amy wearing name tags with different names every single day is her way of playing around with gender but nobody is ready for that conversation yet.

Here we go again dears
Absolute Zero Time
So last week gave us ample time to see teen!Ongsa develop his very big crush on Soon, and adult!Soon letting himself enjoy some of that maybe a little too much. It ended with the potential promise of things picking up with Ongsa finding and playing with his 2023 phone.
- Okay so the phone will not trigger The Conversation yet. Alright I guess.
- Sine and Teng work so well together, and that little glimpse of a more... playful? Soon when she asks for that ridiculous porridge and he rolls his eyes was delightful. It felt SO natural.
- HA that's the breakfast restaurant from the start of Ep. 02!
- That discussion with the video shop old man feels jarringly out of nowhere - how did we go from that awkward exchange last episode to this is a little ?? to me.
- "If you meet, you'll be parted. If you don't meet, you won't be parted." Alright, is that what Soon's going to riff off to make his decision then? Better never to have met than to have to be parted from you ?
- Oof yeah so that hug out of context is adorable but Soon, my man... You can't give that kind of hope to the boy while building the expectation that you're going to leave him behind all the time.
- I did like that little "missed connection" moment between the teens.
- "for all the people that love you." "including you?" teen!Ongsa is SO clear and forward and secure in what he feels and what he wants, it makes the contrast with adult!Soon even worse for the later...
- The way he interacts with his younger self is so strange. I get that he wants to do something for the lonely kid he used to be but man, you're planning to take away so much from him, too...
- I do like Na and Ongsa's friendship, it's sweet and she really has his back.
- HA finally we are getting the conversation. I am actually really liking the way Ongsa reacts, it feels ... normal. "How much can I trust you?" is a very valid question. The way he asks "I should be happy, right?" yet does not sound happy at all? I liked it. That's a lot, and it's very fair to not feel super positively about it all ngl.
Ok so the pacing of that episode was shakier for me than the previous one, especially the first half. Things happened either very fast or felt artificially delayed so I enjoyed it a little less than the previous ones on that front.
Adult!Soon is being SO frustrating - I sort of defended him last week but right now he feels... too undecided, too incompetent, also - like sir. You're a full adult, you need to take some kind of charge at least about yourself, you can't defer all your decisions to someone else ESPECIALLY A TEEN alright??
I do wonder how much of it is intentional, because - and I am very aware it may be a reach - in the short view we get of their adult relationship in episode 1, Soon does defer all decision to Ongsa, big (taking in the whole DVD collection) or small (what movie are we watching tonight) and in that case, if that's a personal flaw he needs to work on. But we need to know if that's the case now, give me a flashback or anything that point it out more clearly.
I feel so bad for teen!Ongsa, he spent the whole episode being pulled and pushed by Soon, having to deal with so many mixed signals (I was sighing with him when he settles in his bed), and then he gets burdened with that knowledge? That's SO heavy. And conclude on the man you love telling you "yeh so btw all I told you about the fact that we are together and such? Yeah, I will actively try to stop it from happening." like OK?? I don't want to hold hope for anything right now because I'm unsure about the way the story is going, but if that were to happen... I would like a recalcitrant teen!Ongsa actively working against adult!Soon here - trying to save that hypothetical relationship in a way.
I am hanging in there because I am still having a good enough time watching the show, and I am already so very attached to the characters, but I hope now that the truth is out things are going to pick up a bit, not so much in actual pace but with a stronger direction for the plot and especially for Suansoon...
