The life ahead of us I/III [Billy/Four x F!Reader]
Words : 4, 200 K +
Warnings : fluff, smut, angst, blood…
Summary : Billy and reader decided to quit the Six Underground team after three years fighting the bad guys. They agreed to help them finish this last job before starting their new life. Only three more missions to go for a life of freedom.
Note : Hiyyaaa, first 6 Underground writing and I’m beyond excited ! (and bloody nervous too!!!) I had this idea few days ago and I didn’t want to start writing it because I have a lot of other stuffs to finish/edit but I just couldn’t stop thinking about it so…The whole story is already clear in my mind, divided in 3 parts (was supposed to be a simple OS but I got carried away as usual…). Anyway, I hope you’re gonna like it as much as I do and don’t forget to tell me what you think (even if it’s just a meme or a heart emoji, I’m surviving on these little comments!). Lots of love xx

General Headquarters of the 6 Underground team.
His mouth was hot, almost burning against yours, tongues and legs intertwined together in a passionate and lustful mess.
His thrusts were becoming sloppy as he was coming closer to his orgasm, his fingers quickly working on your clit to bring you with him and he was doing an amazing job as usual.
“Fuck…baby I’m so close” He breathed against your face before devouring your neck with light bites and small kisses.
“Me too, babe” You whined and sunk your nails into the skin on his shoulders, a low grunt escaping his throat at the gesture. “Come for me, Billy” You murmured and grabbed his face, your teeth tugging on his bottom lip as his whole body tensed, his strong orgasm washing over him followed by yours few seconds later.
“Holy shit” The blond moaned as he rested on top of you, still inside you, too lazy to move immediately. “I got—”
“Are you done fucking in here ? We’re leaving in ten !” A loud bang echoed through Billy’s trailer and the sweet and melodious voice of One could be heard. “If you’re late again, I will shoot the both of you myself !”
“Give us a minute !” The blond yelled back, his voice slightly croaky as he still breathless from his previous activities. “Fucking wanker”
“I heard you, Four !” You giggled quietly at One’s answer and sighed when you could hear his footsteps on the sand, signalling he was walking away from the trailer.
“We better get dress” You whispered and pressed a single, loving kiss on Billy’s swollen lips, earning a little groaning. Sex before a mission was probably your favourite. You were both giddy and full of good nerves, fucking them out in the best way possible. “Come on, babe” You pushes away few sweaty locks from his forehead and he gently kissed the inside of your wrist, mouth hiking up higher on your arm. “Billy” Instead of sounding like a warning, it was more like a desperate moan and it made him smirked proudly.
“In few months, we will finally be able to have as much sex as we want…” He dropped his mouth above your chest, his tongue lazily lapping between the valley of breasts, your throat going dry at the incredible feeling. “…without any disturbances…“ He cockily sucked on the love bite he made earlier under your right boob, just on the little mole which he found insanely sexy. You hissed, fingers grabbing his roots roughly. ”…no One…or Two…or Three…zero fucking numbers…“ His lips came back on yours for long, lazy kiss which always made your head spin. ”…just you and me, baby" You sighed loudly, the idea bringing butterflies in your belly.
You and Billy had decide to quit the team at the end of this major mission. It wasn’t an easy decision but it was the right thing to do. You arrived few months after Billy in the team as Eight and the both of you immediately clicked. It was the last thing you excepted when you integrated One’s little team. But only few weeks after you arrived, Billy and you started seeing each other and you never stopped since. You didn’t have family or close friends and you were quite good with a gun and especially with explosives, he made you an offer and you didn’t even think twice before accepting. You never regretted your choice once.
But now, three years later, Billy and you agreed that it was time for a change. But you couldn’t just quit and let the others handle the rest of the job by themselves. You would first finish this job, three more missions were planned to wrap the operation. But the desire to leave was itching through your veins a little bit more everyday. Everything was ready. Passports and new identities. Flights ticket toward Costa Rica. A beautiful house right on the beach. A good amount of cash to survive few years without raising a single finger.
“Three more missions, babe” You whispered, his smile matching yours immediately.
“Three more missions” He repeated with dreamy eyes.
You couldn’t wait to start your new life with Billy by your side.
***********************************************
Mission 1/3.
“Eight, how it’s going ?” You breathed slowly as the voice of One echoing in your earbud, your fingers perfectly stable as your worked on the explosive device.
“Slowly but surely” You murmured quietly as if you spoke louder everything could explode. Which wasn’t possible of course, but you needed all your concentration for the job. “Two more wires to go” You added as you carefully cut a black wire, Five next to you was holding a flash light right on the bomb.
“Copy that. Four and Seven, how is looking up there ?”
Five immediately plugged out your earbud and you murmured a quick thank you. It was one of your rule for this kind of job, you couldn’t listen to Billy because you would just be distracted and then risking stupidly yours and everyone’s life. Sometimes your heart would beat so strongly because of the blond that you couldn’t hear anything else and it was the last thing you needed.
Few more agonisingly long minutes later, you switched back on your earbud and murmured Billy’s favourite words : The bomb is disconnected.
It was for him the most stressful moments of these missions, waiting for you to confirm everything was fine. He was always worried to, instead of hearing you, hear the loud explosion which would result if you failed your mission.
But you never failed.
***********************************************
Your bigger job was over, the bomb wasn’t a danger anymore and you made peoples evacuated the building without really being noticed. Everything was going as it was planned.
“I have my eyes on the target” Three announced with his thick and easily recognisable accent. “Two, mi amor, do you see this hijo de puta ? Leaving through the second elevator”
“I got a visual” The french girl confirmed. “But call me like that one more time and the next bullet is for you, imbecile”
“You never complain when I call you like that in bed, mamacita” Javier was pushing his luck and One let out a little groan, ordering him to focus.
You couldn’t repress a little giggle at their familiar teasing. Javier and Camille were adorably cute and domestic at the base but during mission, Two was dead serious and you knew that Three loved to tease her about that.
Your heart ached a little at their kind of cute interaction and you couldn’t help yourself but checked on your amor.
“Billy, everything’s good on the roof ?” You didn’t let your voice betrayed your worry even if it was obvious for everyone.
“All clear, babe. Seven and his rifle can be quite useful” He always had this cheerful tone and sometimes it was driving you mad because he sounded so reckless. But he also always managed to come back to you.
“I save your ass at least a thousand time, you ungrateful wanker” Blaine chimed in.
“I bet you did, hiding away from the real danger” Billy teased gently and you could hear his quick breathing, indicating that he was running or doing some parkour shits.
“Oh shut the fuck up” Seven groaned and the blond chuckled loudly.
“Alright, Blaine stopped distracting him, he need to focus” You murmured and you could guess Seven was rolling his eyes at your comment.
“Yes, mom” He replied sarcastically.
“You heard the lady, Sniper ? Stop bothering me”
“Asshole”
"Enough, the three of you” One cleared his throat and you immediately complained, claiming your innocence in this stupid quarrel. “Especially you Eight, you’re the one distracting Four” One added, completely ignoring your previous words.
You humphed with annoyance and Billy laughed quietly.
"Can’t argue with that one. She can be very distracting”
***********************************************
You grimaced, the throbbing pain on your cheekbone was making your head spin and you almost throw up at the feeling. Your ankle was also slightly touched, swollen and red but hopefully nothing too serious that few days of rest couldn’t fix. But you didn’t have time for any of that right now, the mission was done but more and more guards were deployed on the building and it was time for you to evacuated quickly.
You were the last one with Five. You lost her somewhere between the third and fourth floor, after a man assaulted you, knocking the butt of his gun right in your face. You managed to take care of him but Amelia was nowhere to be seen. You hoped she was okay, your earbud had fall somewhere during your fight, you couldn’t imagined how Billy must be worried.
“One more floor, come on” You encouraged yourself as all your muscles were sore and begging you to just stop and lay there.
The evacuation was on the roof, a zip line carefully installed by Billy and he already evacuated everyone except the both of you. His worry was growing as you still weren’t here, the sound of shotguns echoed through all the building, not helping his nervousness.
When you finally reached the roof, your gaze frankly searched everywhere for Billy, a relieved sigh leaving your mouth when you saw him, waiting patiently next to the zip line.
"Took you fucking forever, was about to leave” He falsely complained, the relived smile on his face was contradicting his words.
“You wouldn’t dare” You said as you quickly walked toward him before stopping net at the sight of large man right behind him. “BILLY !” You yelled and barely registered his surprise face as the man jumped on him, both of them falling loudly on the floor.
You grimaced as Billy’s head knocked painfully loudly on the concrete, the sound seeming to echoed through your head as you made your best to reach him. You weak ankle was slowing down drastically.
One punch.
Two punch.
At the third punch Billy’s head fell on his side as he spat blood on the floor, his eyes watching you as you came closer.
You didn’t have any more bullet or this fucking asshole would already be dead. The blond tried to take back the control of the situation but he was clearly still a bit dazed from the violent punches he just received. He was struggling to hit him back as his arms were stuck under the big guy, a groan of exasperation and pain falling from his mouth.
When you saw the man grabbing a large knife from his belt, a rush of adrenaline courses through your veins. You literally sprinted there just in time to see the man roughly throwing his weapon toward Billy’s chest, trying to stab him. And he almost did. You let at a strangle cry at the gesture and almost tripped over but thankfully the blond rolled on himself at the last second, avoiding the – probably – deadly stab.
“Don’t touch him, you sick fuck !” You threw yourself on his back, not really your smartest move but you couldn’t think straight when Billy was in danger.
“Get off me, bitch !“ The man tried to dodge him from his back but you didn’t budge and quickly grabbed the thin rope from your belt, wrapped it around his neck and putting as much as pressure as you could.
The man started chocking immediately and Billy didn’t lose a second, pushing himself off the ground and stabbing the man with his own knife, right through his heart. A weak gasp escaped his throat as blood started dripping from the corner of his mouth, Billy quickly helping you get off from under his back.
"You’re okay ?” You immediately cradled his face, checking the bruises already forming on his beautiful face.
“Peachy” He mumbled, hissing quietly as he wiped the fresh blood from the scrap of his forehead. “Thanks to you. Would be dead without you” He added with a little smile as you both walked to the zip line, your hands still shaking at the previous events.
You could have lost him so easily. That was also why you both wanted to stop being part of the team. Always worried about your other significant, wondering if he would make it alive today.
“You scared the shit out of me, Billy” You whined as he quickly and skilfully hooking you to the zip line from the belt you were already wearing. "I thought he was going to…"A sniffle fell from your mouth and you immediately cleared your throat, it wasn’t the time to let the emotions drowned you.
"I know babe” The blond pressed a short kiss on your hairs and hooked himself to the line too as you took a deep breath. You weren’t safe yet. “Let’s go home” You both walked to the edge of the building and you hugged tightly Billy as he jumped off the roof, sliding fast down the safe place where the other were waiting.
***********************************************
General Headquarters of the 6 Underground team.
“How you’re feeling, Nick Fury ?” One snorted as soon as you strolled in the HQ, wearing this stupid patch on your left eye.
“Ha-ha, very funny, One” You rolled your eyes, well your eye and took a seat at the large table, slamming of piece of paper in front of your boss.
“What the fuck is this ?” He asked, a spoonful of cereal crushing loudly under his teeth.
“You said you were going shopping later, I need that” You slid it toward him and threw a quick glance without any real interest.
“Why on earth would I do your shopping ?”
“Because I look like a fucking pirate and I practically can’t walk because of this stupid ankle” You glanced angrily at your foot which forced you to stay in bed for the past five days.
“And what about Skywalker ? Too busy doing nothing ?” One groaned exasperatedly.
“In fact, I’m too busy doing my darlin’ girlfriend” Billy chimed in a he walked in the living-room, biting in an apple. “Maybe you should try and get laid too One, couldn’t hurt you”
You pretend to be annoyed by his comment but your amused smile betrayed you. It was hard to resist his cheeky grin, especially when he was looking so good, all sweaty and just back from the gym.
“You’re fucking gross” One stood up and grabbed your shopping list before leaving the room mumbling quietly.
You and Billy exchanged a fond gaze, knowing that under his shell, the big boss considered all of you like family.
“You’re supposed to be in bed” The blond commented as he walked to you, dropping a little peck on your hairs.
“Yeah but I wake up and you weren’t there anymore” You shrugged and giggled stupidly when he crouched down at your level. “Billy, seriously I can walk to the trailer, it’s not that far”
“Up on my back, missy” You shook your head childishly and watched your boyfriend stood back up, brows arched. “You’re not supposed to put pressure on your ankle, back to bed now” He softly pushed few locks of hair behind your hairs, giving you the sweetest look ever.
His way to convince you to go back lay down on your bed.
“I’ve been laying in bed all week Billy” You whined with a pout. “I’m so done staying in this damn freaking bed. It’s boring” You crossed your arms, remembering that you already asked him three times to go buy a new mattress and still nothing.
“Well I don’t know for you…” He tilted his face close to yours, his lips hovering above your mouth but quite not kissing yet. His warm breath gently caressing your face making you momentarily forgetting about his request. “But I, have few ideas to pass time in this damn freaking bed” His cocky and raspy tone sent a wave of electricity directly to your core, your fingers involuntary curling against your palm.
“Oh yeah ?” You grabbed the hem of his tee-shirt, tugging him closer to you and he smirked wider at your receptiveness. “Like what ?” He slid a finger under your chin and tilted your head toward him before pressing a hot, dirty kiss on your desperate mouth.
“Like…"He broke the kiss but didn’t let go of your bottom lip, tugging at it with his teeth until you hissed, feeling him grinned against you. ”…fucking you face down onto this mattress that you love so much…“ You didn’t even mind the irony about this damn mattress, too occupied with the hotness growing inside your body. "Sound good to you, babe ?” His question was useless and you both knew it. The unsteadiness of your breath and the way your hands were tightly clasped around his forearm were enough hints to understand the situation easily.
But he loved hearing you saying it anyway.
“Yes” You breathed out quietly, his digits rubbing dangerously high on your thigh, each of his stroke deliciously burning your skin.
“Yes what ?” He repeated with a teasing smile, earning a little whine from you.
You should have excepted that from this cocky bastard.
“I want you to fuck me with my face down against the mattress Billy” You repeated and internally cringed about your desperation. “Hard, please”
For all answer he gave a predatory, toothy smile which made your core throbbed with need before grabbing you roughly by the waist, throwing you on his shoulder like a rag doll. You gasped loudly, scolding him for his brusqueness and he only chuckled carelessly, delivering a sharp slap on your covered arse, a little moan leaving your parted lips.
***********************************************
“BILLY !” You screamed his name again and again, trying to reach him but you couldn’t move. “Billy…“ You let out a strangled sob at his pleading eyes looking toward you.
He was being tackled against a wall by a man, a hand tightly wrapped around his neck, applying a strong pressure on it. The lack of air in Billy’s lungs were obvious as his head was slowly turning a worrying shade of red. The little vessels on his eyes were bright red, his eyes popping out of their sockets from the urge to breath.
You could see his hands trying to push away the man from him, little desperate gasps chocking out from his parted lips.
The man decided to move away his hand and instead threw him violently on the floor, kicking his ribs roughly.
Billy coughed loudly, thin dash of blood escaping from his mouth.
"Let him go !” You yelled again, forcing your body to move but a sharp pain on your wrists made you looked down. Ropes. So tightly wrapped around your skin that every little move was burning, atrociously scratching your body.
You looked back at Billy and this time he was on his knees. Arms crossed behind his back, his face covered in bruises and dry blood. You opened your mouth to call him but nothing came out, unable to make a single noise.
The same man from earlier came back, holding a gun in his hand, walking straight for Billy. You eyes widened at the sight and you tried your best to wriggle out of your chains, gaze fixed on your boyfriend.
No, no, no.
Please, no.
Everything went horribly slowly as you watched the man raising the hand holding the deadly weapon, tears obscuring your vision. Billy stayed still, his chest straight as he fixed the man, jaw clenching firmly.
“Are you afraid ?” The man whispered dangerously low, gun pointing directly on his head.
For a split second you locked eyes with the blond before he looked back at the man.
“Never” Billy growled before spitting a bit of blood on the floor, gaze fierce and burning with anger.
The man chuckled darkly. Completely useless, you watched the man’s fingers taking off the security of his gun. The unmistakable sound brought shivers down your spine. You barely noticed the spams in Billy’s jaw because of your whole body was shaking violently.
“Liar” The man murmured with a satisfied smirk, slowly pressing the head off the gun on his forehead.
A strangle sob escaped your throat painfully at the gesture. That caught Billy’s attention. His beautiful green eyes fell on yours, tears silently falling on your cheeks. His lips mouthed something to you but you couldn’t understand it. The loud thumbing of your heart against your rib cage was making your head spin.
The deafening sound of a bullet leaving the gun tore the heavy silence, echoed loudly in your head. And then the noise of Billy’s body collapsing on the ground, the thick smell of powder and iron making you sick.
“BILLY !“
You jolted awake on the mattress, eyes wide opened, sweat dripping from your forehead and heart beating too quickly.
You let out a loud, throaty sob, your whole frame shaking and shivering violently at the vivid memories of Billy’s dead body. You didn’t even notice your movements, rocking yourself in poor attempt of calming your nerves, gaze staring at Billy’s empty side of bed.
You didn’t hear the sound of the door’s trailer opened before two soft hands clasping around your shoulders.
"Baby, what’s going on ? (Y/N), (Y/N) !” You felt someone cradled your face, warm digits stroking your wet cheeks. “Breath with me, baby. Inhale…exhale…just like that, love” You did as he said, feeling your pulse starting to slowing down and your breathing becoming easier.
Several seconds later, you could finally see him. Billy, alive and well, looking worriedly at you.
“You…“ A small cry fell from your mouth and the blond pressed a kiss on his forehead before bringing you against his chest. “You were dead” You breathed out almost painfully, hands desperately grabbing him, the fear that he would disappeared making you sick.
“Still having these nightmares ?” You nodded weakly, nose pressed against his jumper, feeling a little bit more at ease with his familiar scent. “You know I’m not going anywhere, baby. There is no way I’m leaving you alone, love you too much for that” A small hiccup escaped your mouth, bringing Billy to only hug your tighter.
You had absolutely no idea for how long you stayed like that. Minutes ? Hours ? ? All track of time was lost in his strong, safe arms, his lips gently kissed your hairs and murmuring sweet nothing to you until you finally calmed down.
“You were out ?” You mumbled sleepily, head resting in the crook of Billy’s neck, exhaustion growing in your bones.
“Yeah, couldn’t sleep. I went for a run then I heard screaming when I was coming back” He pushed back the bed cover with his free hand and gently moved you under the warm blanket, chuckling softly at your drooping eyelids. “M gonna go for a quick shower, okay ?” He kissed your shoulder as you barely managed to murmur a little okay before settling comfortably in the bed.
Those nightmares weren’t new for neither of you. It was the normal consequences of a constantly dangerous life. Always worrying about each other. About your friends. Wondering if it was your last day truly alive.
For you it was always the same way. You fell asleep and suddenly everything seemed so real that you couldn’t tell if you were awake or no. Usually you were so scared you whole body were just freezing, not able to wake up until either your boyfriend did it or something really intense happened in the dream. Translating by Billy’s death most of the time. Gunshot. Stabbing. Falling. Drowning. And every time you woke up, you were terrified it happened for real one day.
That was mostly why you and Billy were leaving the team. You didn’t want to worry every time you were apart for few hours.
For him, it was different. He couldn’t fall asleep. Someday his mind would race about the dangerousness of the missions you were all doing. The thick tension which wrapped around his body each time you had to take care of explosives. It was a deep, freezing kind of fear running through his veins. He would remember that you would have to do it again and again. He would just lay in bed, making sure you were next to him, keeping his eyes open with the fear of seeing something he didn’t want to if he closed them. So, sometimes he would go for a run, changing his mind or running until he was too exhausted to even think about anything.
Few minutes later, you were fighting the sleepiness drowning you, eyes closing by themselves every two seconds but you wanted to wait for Billy. Too scared to just go back right into this nightmare. You felt the mattress quietly creaked as the blond joined you in bed, switching off the light before sliding under the covers behind you.
“Try to sleep, baby” He murmured lazily, knowing you wouldn’t fall asleep without him. He pressed his chest against your back, one arm sliding under your head and the other one resting gently on your stomach. “Good night, gorgeous” A small kiss dropped on your hairs and you sighed quietly at the gesture, relaxing against his warm frame.
“Two more missions” You quietly said, eyes closed and hand linked with Billy’s one.
“ Two more missions” The blond repeated in a soft sigh, his head resting on top of yours, the sound of his steady heartbeat quickly lulling you to sleep.
2 more missions left.

50. “Why are you glaring at me?” “I’m hoping you’ll spontaneously combust.”
51. “If we die, I’m going to spend the rest of our afterlife reminding you that this was all your fault.” “That’s cool, I wouldn’t mind having company while being a ghost.”
52. “What are you so afraid of?” “You.”
53. “What is that THING in your backpack?” (changed)
54. “I hate the sight of blood.” “Then maybe you shouldn’t kill for a living.”
55. “All that blood looks good on you. It really brings out your eyes.”
56. “Want to see what kind of trouble we can get into?” “Oh god, we’re going to die, aren’t we?” “It’s a Tuesday, I know how to restrain myself.” “You absolutely do not.”
57. “I don’t give a damn.” “You give so many damns they’re visible from SPACE.”
58.  “It’ll be easy. You just have to seduce them.” “You’re kidding, right? I’m about as seductive as a cabbage.”
59. “You’re not as evil as people think you are.” “No. I’m much worse.”
60. “That’s a terrifyingly accurate drawing of us.” “It’s almost like I’m good at what I do.”
61. “You have no power over me.” “You sure about that?”
62. “This isn’t good.” “How can you tell?” “See how they’re slowly surrounding us? And they all have guns and knives and I think one guy is carrying a machete?”
63. “He’s right behind me, isn’t he?” “Actually he’s right in front of you.”
64. “I’m not a thief. I’m just really good at acquiring things that aren’t mine.”
65. “I’m not completely human anymore. Remember that next time you want to punch me in the face.”
66. “Is that blood?” “No?” “That’s not a question you’re supposed to answer with another question.”
67. “I never stood a chance, did I?” “That’s the sad part – you did once.”
68. “It’s okay, I’m here.”
69. “I’m not going to leave you.”
70. “Everything is okay.”
71. “I’m going to protect you.”
72. “I believe in you.”
73. “Do you feel guilty? Like, at all?” “I don’t have time to feel guilty. And neither do you.”
74. “Stop that!” “Stop what?” “Doing that thing with your face when you’re happy. It’s making me nauseous.”
75. “What are you doing?” “…Eating.” “We’re being held hostage and you decide to raid the kitchen?” “They didn’t say the fridge was off limits.”
76. “Is that a dead body?” “Maybe?” “It is. I can see it right in front of me.” “I promise I’ll clean it up before dinner.”
77. “If we’re going to get out of here, we’re going to have to work together. After that, we can go back to killing each other.” “Oh, fine.”
78. “That’s not funny.” “I thought it was.” “You don’t count. You started laughing in the middle of a funeral because you started thinking of a meme you saw on Facebook.”
79. “Do we need wine?” “No, I need wine, you need to put your pants back on.” “But life is so freeing without them.” “Pants. On. Now.”
80. “Can you please go be stupid somewhere that’s away from me?”
81. “I feel like I’m being stabbed.” “How do you even know what it feels like to be stabbed?”
82. “Will you be quiet?” “I didn’t say anything!” “Well stop thinking so loud.”
83. “Did you get my note?” “Of course I got it. You taped it to my forehead while I was sleeping.”
84. “You’re a psychopath.” “I prefer creative.”
85. “Why do people keep trying to put this blanket on me?” “Because you’re in shock.” “That doesn’t mean I need a blanket. It means I need booze.”
86. “Oh no.” “What is it? What happened? Who died?” “I think I just felt an emotion.” “You have GOT to be kidding me.”
87. “When all this is over, I want my sanity back.”
88. “That’s definitely not true.” “Of course it is. I read it in Encyclopedia.” (changed)
89. “You forgot me.” “It was an accident.”
90. “Why do you keep risking your life? To prove a point?” “Yes.”
91. “I would like to join you in acknowledging the difficulties of your life.” “You are the WORST at this comfort thing.”
92. “You’ve got to stop doing that.” “What?” “Saying things that make me want to kiss you.”
93. “Look, if you want to conjure some demon spawn from the great beyond, that’s all fine and dandy. Just wait for me to leave before you start.”
94. “Just calm down!” “My arm just got cut off and you want me to calm down!?” (changed)
95. “You know what they say, panicking burns a shit ton of calories.” “Who even says that?” “Me. Just now.”
96. “Don’t mind me, I’ll just be in the corner, having another existential crisis.”
97. “Oh my god, I had the exact same dream!” “Really?” “Are you crazy? Of course I didn’t.”
98. “I need to go de-stress.” “Where are you going?” “To demolish the living room.”
99. “I think I’m having a feeling. How do I make it stop?”
100. “I’m bitter and complicated. It’s one of my charms.” “I don’t think you know what that word means. Or how to count.”
101. “Well? What happened? I want all the details!”
102. “You always think you know what you’d do when faced with the end of the world. Me? I went home and took a nap.”
103. “Damn it, why aren’t you obeying the laws of physics?”
104. “I’d hug you right now, but you’re covered in evidence. And I also really don’t want to.” “Evidence is a really nice euphemism for blood, gore and guts.” “You’re totally missing the point. Do you know how pissed I am at you right now?”
105.  “This way is more efficient.” “This way is going to get us killed.”
106. “You’re not my favourite person today.” “I’m not your favourite person on any day.”

BTS - Most likely to get married / their opinions on marriage (Most to Least)
Our opinions only based on how we see them based on interviews etc.
You may also been interested in our post ‘Most likely to settle down / give up their career for the one they love’ which also touches on this subject.
Our full masterlist can be found here for loads more fics, scenarios, lists and fan art. New subs and re-blogs are always super appreciated. We are open to ‘Most likely to’ or ‘most to least’ type requests :)
Tumblr media
Content below cut
1. Jin
Tumblr media
We feel that Jin is definitely someone who has his heart set of marriage in the future as we see him as someone who is very traditional and romantic. He would also definitely want a family but would not want to try until after he was married. While we feel he takes all relationships seriously and would see marriage as the natural end goal, he would not rush into it but instead would instinctively know when he is with the right person and when the time is right to ask. He would want to get married relatively soon after getting engaged but would allow it long enough to get everything planned (6 months to a year). The wedding itself would be very traditionally romantic, fairly large (with him not wanting to leave out his extended family and staff) but still intimate feeling. Jin’s wedding speech would be so heartfelt, there would not be a dry tear in the house (particularly the lucky bride!) The honeymoon would also be somewhere abroad and sunny. As a husband, Jin would be very loving and would take his role as husband and head of the family very well, working hard to get through any problems or hardships that may arise. He would be unlikely to ever get divorced.
(Within our headcanon universe - Jin’s marriage to his girlfriend Min-seo is a major part of their ongoing storyline. Read all of Jin and Min-seo’s fics in order here:
2. Jungkook
Tumblr media
Jungkook is probably the most idealistic member of the group in our opinion when it comes to relationships so would want to get married fairly soon after becoming serious with a girl. We do feel, of all members, he and V are most likely to get married in a rush to the wrong person and end up divorced. Jungkook (along with possibly Jimin) is also most likely to attract someone who is perhaps in the marriage for the wrong reasons (*cough* money). This is because he can be quite naive and, naturally sweet, only sees the good in people. We do think, however, if he met the right girl the marriage would be very successful as he would be a very supportive husband and would be willing to work through any problems there may be as a couple. Although he would want to see himself as the traditionally ‘strong’ one within the relationship, he would in fact rely a lot on his partner for guidance and emotional support. (We feel Jungkook would be best suited to older and more emotional mature women, as is reflected in our headcanon universe where his girlfriend, Young-soon, is six years older and the more mature of the two. Read his headcanon stories in order here). His wedding would come within 1-2 years of getting engaged and would be very picturesque and beautiful. It would be fairly large, as he would also want to invite some of his staff. However, we feel Jungkook might not be able to express how he feels about his partner is as many emotional words than Jin so it would not be a super teary affair.) He would want to go on a fairly sporty/active honeymoon such as going somewhere mountainous to ski or hike.
3. J-Hope
Tumblr media
While Hoseok would not be any rush to marry, we do think he is someone sure to marry in future. He is very family orientated and would want his own family. While he would not mind starting a family before he is married (unlike Jin), we think he would prefer to wait if possible. He would be sensible enough to wait until he was with the right person and to not want to rush the wedding, happy to wait several years if that is what his partner feels would be best. He would really not want anyone to feel stressed about the ceremony so would make sure there is plenty of time together to plan everything. While he is unlikely to divorce and would want to work through any marriage issues, he is not the best at talking through issues in a calm manner and might infuriate his partner at times. If there was to be a divorce, he would be very mature about the matter. His ceremony would not be too big or too small; family would come before friends and staff and the venue would likely be outside and full of laughter and joy. He might not go on a honeymoon straight away, instead waiting to see if any place sticks out to you as a couple or go on several shorter breaks away. He would also not mind honeymooning in Korea or somewhere more local such as Japan and China, where he is more familiar with the local customs, cuisine and culture.
4. V
Tumblr media
Like Jungkook, we see Taehyung as someone who is incredibly idealistic and romantic in an old fashioned way and would see himself settling down, getting married and having children at a young age. However, this might not actually be the best direction for him to go into so he might end up rushing into marriage and getting divorced fairly soon afterwards. He is also fairly likely to start a family before being married, even though this wouldn’t be how he would ideally see things. Of all the members, we see him as being one of the most argumentative and difficult at times to get along with, so it would take a lot of work to make a marriage work on both his and his partner’s part. His wedding would be very bohemian and quirky, with only close friends and family as guests and in an unusual location such as the woods, an English country house or an old, borderline creepy church. His ideal honeymoon would either be to a European city with a lot of history, interesting architecture and galleries or somewhere quite secluded where you can spent solitary time together such as a cabin in the woods.
5. Jimin
Tumblr media
Jimin is someone we definitely see as eventually wanting the perfect ‘fairy tale’ wedding in future but isn’t eager to rush into marriage until he is sure it is the right thing to do. He would likely to settle down a little later than some of the other members but his wedding would be very lavish and expensive with lots of guests. He wouldn’t be in a rush to start a family, so can afford to hold off until after he is married. We don’t really see Jimin as someone with complex hobbies, so his honeymoon would be somewhere hot and sunny like the a foreign beach where he can spent quality time with his new bride. He would never want to get divorced but, like J-Hope, finds it hard to handle serious arguments. Of all the members, if he ever did divorce from a legal/money perspective, it might be the messiest along with Jungkook. Along with Jungkook, he is also perhaps the most likely to marry someone who is after his money or is using him to gain their own fame. This is more because we feel he is not the best at judging people’s characters and having that instinctive sense when something is wrong.
6. Suga
Tumblr media
Marriage isn’t something we see Yoongi as being bothered about either way, mainly because we would recognise that a piece of paper doesn’t prove his feelings. He does however, recognise that society sees marriage as the natural progression in a relationship and that it does have some symbolic weight. He would therefore be thrilled to get married if it was something his partner wanted. (In our headcanon universe, Yoongi proposes to his girlfriend, Jeong-sun, during the fic ‘Stranded’ at an ill timed moment when under a lot of pressure to save his relationship. This fits in with the idea that Yoongi feels marriage is more of a symbolic thing rather than something which he needs to do in order to be committed to someone. All our Suga headcanon fics can be read here). Instead of marriage, Yoongi would be more likely to go for a civil ceremony due to more legal and practical reasons. For example, he would want his partner to have control over his finances and wishes should anything happen to him. The ceremony would be very small and unfussy but would be very romantic in its own way. He wouldn’t opt for a long honeymoon but might plan a week or long weekend away somewhere you wanted to go such as a city break or somewhere private and excluded where you can enjoy time together. He would also be fairly indifferent about having children; if it happened it happened, if it doesn’t it doesn’t. He isn’t someone who feel you need to be married to start a family. He would be unlikely to divorce as he would not rush into marriage in the first place but, like Hoseok, would be incredibly mature if it were to happen. Of all members, it would be easiest to work through any problems which might occur during marriage with Yoongi as he is both calm and fully willing to do so.
7. RM
Tumblr media
Namjoon, being so sensible and rational, would recognise that marriage isn’t something which should be entered into lightly and should only be done after being together a while and trusting each other implicitly. While he would try his hardest to be romantic, he knows it is a fact that most marriages these end in divorce and there is a lot of lose if this does happen. However, he is not against the idea or marriage and would likely want to do so at some point, even if it is after being together 5 or 10+ years. His wedding would be fairly traditional and classy, with a nice balance between friends, family and staff invited. His honeymoon would be somewhere with a mixture of interesting culture and relaxation such as Spain or southern Italy. He would want to start a family but would not feel marriage was essential for this. His priorities would be as a father over a husband and, if there were any issues, his priority would be the well being of his child/children.

The end of 2019.
So that’s it. Here we are at the end of another year. I have so many unfinished blog posts from over the last couple of months and I hope I will get the chance to finish them soon but things are so busy at the moment and to be honest, I haven’t had the energy or motivation.
I have a lot to say about 2019, but that warrants a post of its own. For now, I just want to address my annual goals. I want to see which goals I set for myself this time last year have been achieved, which haven’t and then reflect on what goals I want to set for the coming year. 2020. Crazy. I really hope they are the roaring 2020s. I’d like some good things to happen. Perhaps to find myself and work out a lot of things causing my depression, anxiety and constant heartache.
Anyway, onto the goals of 2019 and here is exactly what I wrote this time last year:
1.     LET PEOPLE GO. IF SOMEONE WALKS OUT OF MY LIFE FORGET THEM, or at least try to. E triggered this. I have tried so hard since she left but this year was a huge turning point for me. She had a baby, I had no idea, I tried to meet up on several occasions. I sent a card at Christmas and nothing. Not one thing, not one word, no thank you. Just nothing. I am over being pushed aside and walked over. I will not make contact with anyone this year if they do not also make an effort with me. People who are meant to be in your life will stay, and those who aren’t will disappear and were clearly a lesson or something else, but not everyone is meant to be in your life forever and I think that is something I need to learn to accept this year.
Did I accept this and forget people? Yes and no. I haven’t made any effort with E this year at all. She messaged me on my birthday which was actually a shock but then nothing. Am I over it? No, not fully. I miss her, I still have no idea what happened and when I see photos or she crosses my mind I feel sad that we are where we are. In terms of E, I think I have managed to accept it though. In terms of other people, oh hell no. I am trying my very best to accept it, but I just cannot. I cannot come to terms with the fact someone I want in my life might not meant to be. So no, I cannot accept this for everyone that walked out of my life in 2019 because there is one person who I don’t think I will ever be able to accept this about - and there is zero chance of ever moving on and forgetting them.
2. READ ONE BOOK A MONTH. Here I am again attempting to do the 12 books a year challenge. One per month for a whole year. I always start off well and start to dwindle and then fail when things get busy, but this year I want to do it once and for all. Third time lucky after all.
Complete fail. The exact same thing happened again. I started off amazingly, and then life got in the way and it came to a standstill. I have a book currently half-read sitting on a shelf and I’ve pretty much forgotten the first half of the book. This will certainly be my challenge again next year. I need to complete it. It has got to be done.
3. GET A NEW JOB (PREFERABLY IN AN INTERNATIONAL ORGANISATION). This year my contract will inevitably end at the European Central Bank. It could be over at the end of February when my current contract ends, it could be over a few months later if I am lucky enough to be extended, or it could end in September – but whatever happens it will end this year. So, I hope that I manage to get another job for my current one ending. I know it won’t be an easy task but I will do my very best to get somewhere else I want to be.
Success! I got two job offers for two incredibly big international organisations. I accepted one and moved to Washington DC. Career-wise things went pretty well in 2019 and I am pretty proud of myself. I also got two other interviews, both for other international organisations which I didn’t go to because I’d already accepted my current job.
4. SLEEP EARLIER. Basically, get to bed earlier. When I first moved to Frankfurt I was getting into bed at around 10pm every single night. I slept better, I felt better and all around it was just better for my productivity and my body. I don’t want to set the goal of being in bed at 10pm every night because I know there is little chance of that happening. But for now, if I can be in bed before 11pm I’ll be pretty happy with myself.
Complete fail. I do try to be in bed at around 10 but I’m usually still awake during the earlier hours. So yes, I get into bed, but I don’t sleep. So not a success.
5. ORGANISE MY FINANCES. Before I moved abroad my finances were in excellent shape. I knew where everything was. Everything was saved in separate accounts for different things and they were all-round healthy and I knew what everything was for and where it was. Now, however, since moving abroad and being paid in another currency – it’s all over the place and I really want to make 2019 the year I get all of this sorted. I want the right savings in the right accounts and I want to know its safe, and correctly organised.
Nope. Another fail. It never happened. I had too much to do and started getting paid in yet another currency. My money is all over the place and needs sorting. Perhaps another goal for 2020.
6. USE MY PHONE LESS. I want to try and stop being tied to my phone all the time. I want to stop using my phone when I’m with other people, try to be more in the moment and enjoy the situation or surroundings that I am in and enjoy the company I hold rather than constantly scrolling and texting away. It’s rude and I hate it when other people do it, so I need to stop, or at least try anyway.
Achieved. Not completely through choice, but achieved non the less.
7. GET OUTDOORS MORE. I love being outside. I love hiking and I love nature and I want to make much more effort to get outside and walk and spend time in nature. I want to take photos of my adventures and I want to see new places and things. I want to stop spending all my time cooped up inside and actually spend my time doing something worth doing.
Yes. I’d say have achieved this. I spent a lot of time outside in 2019, from travelling to new places, spending time with friends, going on walks and reading outside. I had amazing weather in Frankfurt during the summer, spent almost a week in DC whilst attending my interview and spent every single day outside and also spent a lot of Autumn out in DC with H, F and M.
8. TACKLE MY ANXIETY. I have struggled with anxiety for probably longer than I realise. I think its always been there, from the smallest things when I was little when my dad would try and send me into the shop on my own and I would panic and not want to do it, to the big things like when I’ve had a panic attack from being in my old hometown city centre to heart palpitations for blood tests and other stressful situations. I don’t think I ever recognised it before I started having to take medication for depression but now I no longer take medication for this I have realised more and more just how bad my anxiety is, so one of my aims for this year is to try and combat or at least control it in some way or another.
I’m currently still tackling my anxiety. I don’t know if I will ever have fully tackled it, but I worked hard this year. I started taking medication, I saw a therapist once a week and I feel like talking about a lot of things, although somewhat uncomfortable for the most part... helped. Currently, my anxiety and panic attacks are better than they have been for a very long time. I haven’t yet got myself a therapist in DC but this is something I really need to do soon because otherwise, all the hard work of last year will come undone.
Usually, I always write 10 goals, but for some reason, I only have 8 for 2019. Here is to making goals for 2020 and hoping that I have more success than I appear to have done this year.

31 Spooky Things to do in October as a Witch
One for each day. I put them in an order that made sense to me, but some of these you could definitely move around. Also, the focus is on witchy stuff, but most of this works as just something fun to do!
1. Catch a falling leaf 🍂
Catching a fallen leaf is said to be good luck. Keep it on your altar for the whole month.
2. Put up some decorations / Decorate altar  📿
If you haven't already, now is a good time to pull out your spooky fall decor. If you already have some, touch up or add to it.Ideas for altar:
fallen leaves
skulls
nuts, acorns
harvest vegetables like pumpkins and squash
Halloween decor
3. Use fall scents 💧
Scents are tied to emotion. Using the same scents year after year builds strong emotional memories. Herbal scents can also be used for their magical properties; for instance, cinnamon is protective and energizing.
4. Listen to spooky music 🎶
Good way to get in the mood! Save your favorites to put in a playlist later (see #12)!
5. Wear fall colors ❤️🧡💛💚
Reds, oranges, browns, and dark greens are typical.
6. Buy a pumpkin (or a few!)  🎃
Preferably at a pumpkin patch! Picking out your own is extra fun. Larger ones are good for carving. Smaller ones make cute decor. Don't carve any yet though—at best they only last around a week. (See Day 24 for tips on how to help preserve it!) You can empower them to repel negativity and to protect your home, much like jack-o-lanterns’ original purpose.
7. Read a spooky story  📕
Doesn't have to be horror if you don't enjoy it! There are plenty of mysterious stories that suit this time of year.
8. Drink hot chocolate, apple cider, or pumpkin flavored drink  ☕️
I know I'll be drinking more than one pumpkin spice latte this month haha.
You can make your own apple cider from regular apple juice. Just add cinnamon (a must), allspice, nutmeg, and/or cloves (the last three are more optional). To add a magical flare, you can enchant the ingredients or stir in energy.
9. Plan Halloween costume, Halloween day events 👹
Decide what you are going to wear and what you are going to do on the day of. You may want to carve some time for witchy activities, as well as time for trick or treating, or for having a party.
10. Perform some form of divination  🔮
I find this time of year divination is particularly strong.
11. Watch a spooky show  📺
Suggestions:
Over the Garden Wall - a short and sweet cartoon about two brothers traveling through the Unkown
The Twilight Zone - imagine I don't need to explain this one!
Stranger Things - the first season is especially good. Set in the 80s and takes a lot of inspiration from the media of that decade
Gravity Falls - cute, kids dealing with supernatural activity in their town
X-files - it's a classic for a reason. Two FBI agents investigate supposed paranormal events
12. Make a Halloween playlist  🎧
This is something you can listen to all month long, and is especially useful if you are planning on a party at the end of the month. You can even build on this year after year, updating it to reflect your changing taste. Useful in music witchcraft.
13. Eat a caramel apple  🍎
Here's a tip: while the classic caramel apple on a stick is certainly cute, it's way easier to eat if you cut the apple into slices!
14. Take a (safe) night hike  🌲
It's good to get outside and feel the changing air. Just don’t go off alone into the woods during the middle of the night!
15. Play a spooky game  🎮
Or watch a let's play, if you'd rather!
OFF - horrifying at times but not gorey, great soundtrack and fun gameplay
Yume Nikki - a slow paced and atmospheric game where you travel through dreams
Oxenfree - much more thriller than outright horror, a group of teens find themselves in the middle of strange occurrences
Amnesia: The Dark Descent - one of the more intense horror games out there!
Five Nights at Freddie's - it may be seen as slightly "cringey" now but it's a genuinely good game.
16. Make/buy popcorn balls 🍿
These are easy to make and yummy
17. Gather a pile of leaves and jump in  🍁
If you live in a place with enough leaves. If not, collect some leaves for more indoor decor.
18. Go to a corn maze  🌽 🌽 🌽
These are simple but fun.
19. Watch a spooky movie 📽️
The Sixth Sense - this ghost movie is famous for a major twist. If you don't know it, it's really interesting! If you do know, it's fun to rewatch and see the foreshadowing.
Ghostbusters - either the classic one or the all-women remake; both are fun.
Us - my only recommendations I haven't actually seen, but I've heard the entire plot and think it sounds worth watching. Involves doppelgängers seeking revenge. Falls solidly in the horror category.
Nightmare Before Christmas - did you know this movie was directed by Henry Selick, NOT Tim Burton? He was a producer, and came up with the initial concept, but he was mostly uninvolved with the day-to-day of production.
Practical Magic - a family of witches dealing with a generational curse. The power of family and romantic love.
20. Visit a graveyard (respectfully!) ⚰️
Graveyards are interesting historical sites as well as a place to honor the dead. It's healthy to acknowledge and reflect on death occasionally.
21. Create a fall or Halloween aesthetic board 🌆
What do you think of when you think of this season? Can be a starting point for art magic.
22. Contemplate Autumn  🌾
It's a time of the harvest, a time of change. Maybe do some meditation or journaling if you feel like it.
23. Buy fall produce 🍠
Buying seasonal produce gets you in tune with that energy, not to mention it just tends to taste better!
24. Carve a jack-o-lantern  🎃
Or you can use easier, no-carve methods, such as drawing on with sharpie. If you do carve, here are some tips:
Wash the outside of the pumpkin first. This prevents mold from getting in.
If you plan on putting it over a candle, it is easier to carve out the bottom instead of the top. This also helps it last longer.
Scoop in a spiral, focusing on cutting the strings. Then the insides should come out more easily.
Rinse it out with a diluted bleach solution. Wait for this to dry a bit.
Cut time! Plan with a marker first, and keep in mind small pieces may break.
Sprinkle the inside with lemon (for preservation) and cinnamon (for the smell!)
Rub the cut edges with vaseline, again for preservation.
Don't leave it out in the heat. If you live somewhere hot, try keeping it inside, especially during the daytime.
25. Tell (or read) ghost stories around a fire  👻
If you can get together a group of friends, all the better, but reading on your own works too.
26. Make pumpkin pie  🥧
I. love. pumpkin pie. If you don't though, any type of pie is good! Baking is inherently magical to me.
27. Go to a haunted house. 🏚️
You can drive to one, or sometimes someone in the neighborhood will set one up.
28. Finish costume prep 🧵
If you need to buy some prop and haven't yet, do it! If you're DIYing it, make sure everything is complete.
29. Finish decorations, Ancestor altar  🕯️
If there is anything else you want put up, make sure it's done. Now is also a good time to set up an ancestor altar. Gather photographs, heirlooms and other mementos of deceased family, friends, or even pets. Set it up in an attractive way.
And don't forget to buy candy for trick-or-treaters!
30. Wear something Halloween related—it's tomorrow! 🧣
Orange and black colors, spiders and pumpkins and bats.
31. Halloween! 💀
Be sure to enjoy the day.
As for witchy activities, it's a good time for divination. You can put out an offering of food and cider or mead, then light the candles on your ancestor altar. You can try communicating with them, through divination or other methods, or simply let them know you are thinking of them.

And now for that elusive private room!
Chapter 11
Despite their best efforts, none of their hopeful plans have materialized. Emma has yet to find the courage to open her envelope or ask her questions and Killian’s promise of a private room disappeared with the fun they were having at the campground. The pleas from their new group of friends to stay just one more night had been too hard to resist and the result is, Emma’s booking schedule has gone completely off the rails. The original extra night in Londonderry hadn’t helped but they could have gotten back on schedule by skipping a stop, but between meeting Anna and Kristoff, two extra nights of camping in Westport, (including bunking with new travel mates, Will and Robin, both of whom were very nice men -- yet not the ones she wanted to be sharing a room with), there’s no salvaging the planned reservations anymore.
Which means, every night from now until the end is a gamble, and not one Emma is particularly thrilled about. While it was fun to throw some caution to the wind, she liked the security of knowing she had a bed. She can’t imagine how Killian has done it for so many nights, weeks, hell, months at a time.
Which is probably why now, a little tired, a little sore from two lovely nights on the ground, she’s a little more vocal about guaranteeing a comfortable place to sleep.
“How long do you think this is going to take? I really don’t want to miss check in,” Emma grumbles through breaths she is desperately trying to slow, though thanks to the challenging hike they’re on, it’s proving difficult to breathe at all.
“I would assume it will take as long as it needs to, darling.” There was a sarcastic edge to his voice, causing Emma to stick out her tongue, so what if he was up ahead and unable to see her.
“It’ll be easy, they said. It will be fun, they said,” Emma mumbles, digging her walking stick into the rocky terrain, angry at the hike that was much more demanding than she had anticipated.
“We could be sipping beer and listening to music in Galway right now,” Killian throws over his shoulder, he himself slipping on one of the many smooth and slippery stones. “Blasted rocks.”
Emma snickers at his curse, happy to see he is having about as much fun as she is.
“You said and I quote, it’ll just be a jaunt, Swan,” Emma throws back in a very bad attempt at a British accent.
Killian stops and looks back, one eyebrow lifting lazily, mouth set in a line.
“I seem to recall you asking me if I was too scared to do this.”
She stomps up to him and presses a finger into his chest.
“We’re doing this because I teased you?”
She throws her hands up and pushes past him, stick digging into the ground, breath puffing out in loud pants.
“Slow down, Emma, you’ll hurt yourself.”
She holds up her middle finger behind her before cringing when she sees the tiny chapel way, way, way in the distance.
“Sorry,” she mumbles but then adds, “couldn’t Saint Patrick have pilgrimmed somewhere flatter?”
“Ah, but where would the challenge be in that?” a voice comes from her side and she looks over to see a man about her age, easily navigating the deteriorating path.
She gives him a half smile but picks up her pace, his ease a quiet competition. She sees a plateau coming up over the ridge and in her mind that means rest and a water break, she quickens her pace.
She takes a few more reckless steps before she manages to step on a rock that is a little too smooth, a little too loose and she’s falling.
Her cry is half caught in her throat and there’s a brief moment she thinks of how badly it’s going to hurt when she hits the ground, but two strong arms wrap around her middle, saving her from injury.
“Whoa, I got you.”
She blinks up, her adrenaline pumping, expecting to see Killian but finding the stranger instead. He settled her on her feet but keeps his hands on her hips.
“Ok?” he asks and she nods dumbly, eyes already searching for Killian, and he’s there, right behind. But to her surprise he looks more upset than before, his walking stick on the ground, hand clenched in a fist.
“Um, yeah, thanks,” Emma mumbles finally stepping away, glancing to her rescuer briefly before back to Killian.
“No problem, always happy to lend a hand. It’s not a race. See you at the top!”
The stranger gives her a wink and he’s on his way again. Before long, he’s barely a dot on the horizon and completely out of earshot.
Emma finally gives a nervous laugh and looks to Killian.
“I guess I could have just tucked and rolled. Faster way to the bottom.”
Her joke falls flat, she barely gets a reaction from him, save for the clenching in his jaw.
“Mmm,” he mumbles, reaching down for his stick and takes a few slow steps past her.
“Hey, wait, that’s it?” she asks, catching up, mind you, keeping her eyes downcast to take surer steps.
“What do you want me to say? Clearly I’m useless.”
She pulls up short at his statement and watches him continue to climb, head down.
“What in the world does that mean?” she calls out, starting out again. When he doesn’t answer and they finally reach some flatter ground, she reaches out for his arm but he pulls it away roughly.
“Killian. Stop.”
She sees the tight set of his shoulders when he finally stops, and she watches him breathe in deep shuddering breaths.
She has no idea what’s going on, so the question rolls quickly off her tongue.
“Killian, what the hell is going on?”
The jaw clench again.
She takes a calming breath and walks around to face him. She opens her mouth to speak, but pauses when two older women slowly walk by. She nods to them both and takes a step closer to her now visibly upset hiker.
“Hey, are you going to tell me what’s going on? Killian, look at me.”
She lays her hand on his wrist and she feels him flinch but at least he doesn’t move away.
“Look, I’m sorry I was complaining. I just really want this day to be about finding a comfortable bed, preferably with you in it and no one else around.”
“You think that’s what this is about?” he suddenly asks, surprising them both with the tone of his voice. She frowns, completely at a loss.
“Well, I honestly have no idea then.”
She plants her hands on her hips and waits from him to fill her in. When he doesn’t speak right away, she looks out at the vista below. It’s beautiful, green rolling hills, deep blue waters of Clew Bay and dozens of tiny islands dotting the area. She finally begins to see what the fuss this hike is about but -- it’s nothing without Killian to enjoy it with and a glance confirms he’s not seeing the same thing she is. He’s looking down at his brace and seeming as looking as helpless as she’s ever seen him.
“Killian, please,” she tries again, gentler this time and he finally looks up, looks into her eyes.
“You’ve never asked me about my hand.”
She almost rocks back on her heels at the statement, so startled by it, and while true, it’s definitely not what she thought the problem was.
“I, um, I’m sorry?” she finally settles on, her statement coming out as a question.
He huffs out a laugh in disbelief.
“You’re sorry? No, I’m the one the couldn’t reach out for you. This useless thing probably would have made matters worse.”
He lifts his brace that this holding his hooked prosthetic, before dropping it in disgust.
“Hey, wait a second, stop.”
She reaches out for him, grasping him above the brace and not letting him pull away this time. She holds on tightly but letting him look away, letting the emotions run across his face. First anger, then frustration, and finally resignation before he turns back to her and closes his eyes.
“Killian, I’m sorry I never asked. When we first met, it seemed rude to ask, I didn’t know how to approach it and then as we got to know each other, I just stopped thinking about it. It’s just another part of you. Really, I’m sorry--”
“Please don’t,” he whispers but she pushes on.
“No. It’s a part of you and it’s insensitive of me to not face and for that I’m sorry, but don’t for a second think yourself useless. What happened just now, that was all me. I was stomping along, way ahead and that guy just happened to be there. Be mad that I’m an insensitive jerk but not that you couldn't swoop in like Superman.”
Finally, thankfully, she sees a small ray of hope. A smile, albeit very small. The corner of his mouth pulls up a little and she mirrors it, feeling a little better.
“You’re not a jerk,” he finally mumbles and focuses on her, eyes a little lighter, shoulders dropping. “You’re okay? You didn’t twist your ankle or anything?” he asks, hand reaching up to cup her cheek. She turns her head and presses a kiss to his palm.
“I’m fine. I promise. Why don’t we sit down, eat some of our snacks and then walk back? I don’t want to see the top anyway.”
She takes his hand and pulls him towards some larger rocks, and finds a place to sit. He follows without protest but remains quiet. She sits crossed legged, facing him and pulls his arm with the brace into her lap.
“Will you tell me? Do you want to tell me?” she asks shyly, fingers hesitant for the first time on his arm, drawing a line down his arm to where skin meets his brace.
He looks out towards the view below, eyes taking in the same beautiful landscape as she had but she’s not sure he’s really seeing it, his mind clearly elsewhere.
“It’s actually a stupid story.”
“Killian,” she admonishes him but he shrugs.
“It is. After my brother died, I -- I didn’t really know how to cope. I was reckless. I went out a lot, I drank, I picked fights. There is something to be said for getting punched in the face that makes you feel alive for a split second.”
She tries to keep her face impassive, she knows he doesn’t want her pity, and really it’s not pity. She just knows what it’s like to be alone, and wishes she could have saved him from the sadness and pain she hears in his voice.
“One night, I picked a fight with the wrong guy. Or guys, I guess. They never really figured it out and I honestly didn’t care at the time. I just woke up in a hospital, with a concussion, a lot of broken bones, one less hand, and a doctor telling me I was lucky to still be alive.”
“Oh, Killian,” her words slip out before she can stop herself but he doesn’t seem to mind. She hurts for him, for who he was and all that he lost.
He shrugs like it’s not some life changing event, and she knows he doesn’t want her to make it a big deal but her reaction is beyond what she can reign in. She lifts up to her knees and wraps him in a tight hug.
She’s happy to feel his arms hold her just as tight.
When she sits back down, she takes his arm again, drawing gentle patterns on his arm, never taking her eyes away from his face.
“Did you start travelling after that?” she asks, curious.
He nods slowly.
“Obviously my clothes had been cut off, or too bloodied up to keep but somehow, someone, I don’t know if it was a doctor or a nurse found the crumpled paper in my pocket. It was the menu Liam had written our travel plans on and they left it beside my bed. It was the only thing salvaged and it served to remind me how fucking disappointed Liam would have been seeing me there. I bought my first plane ticket as soon as I was well enough to go.”
“And here you are.”
“Here I am,” he agrees. “Whiny American blondes and all,” he adds and her eyes widen.
And now he does laugh, full-bellied, head thrown back and all Emma can do is wrap him up in a hug again, arms tight around his neck, nearly knocking them off their rock but Killian manages to keep them balanced, holding her just as close.
She can’t imagine being anywhere else. She can’t imagine being with anyone else. More words threatening to spill out.
Something important on the tip of her tongue. Something a lot like love.
xo
They scribble a note and leave it on the windshield of Anna and Kristoff’s winnebago, both eager to get out of the parking lot and towards some privacy. Killian doesn’t protest when Emma gets behind the wheel, the earlier events still weighing on his conscience. Emma doesn’t mind, putting the music on low and concentrating on the road, her own thoughts bouncing around in her mind.
She’s grateful to be back on flatter terrain. The roads were definitely still more narrow than back in Storybrooke but besides that, it was an easy drive past small homesteads and fields, the sky overcast but free of rain. Silence filling the car for most of the ride, but Killian still helped her through exits and roundabouts, giving her thigh a squeeze after each grateful smile before looking back out the window.
It’s only when she catches him working the skin above his brace that she thinks to speak up again, and even then she hesitates, mouth opening and closing before silently reprimanding herself and and finally pushing the words out.
“I really am sorry for not asking you about your injury. I don’t want you to think I would just ignore something like that. Something that is a part of you.”
His hand pauses and he looks over.
“No, of course not, love. Think nothing of it.”
But she shakes her head.
“It’s just that I can be a coward, about a lot of things but I really don’t want to be a coward with you,” she explains, hands once again tight on the wheel. His hand brushes over her knuckles and she loosens her hold a little.
“You are far from a coward, Emma.”
“Yeah, say that to the enveloppe sitting at the bottom of my bag and the couple who gave it to me still waiting for some news.”
“Emma,” he starts but she holds up her hand.
“Look at what you’ve done. You’ve travelled the world --”
“Running away from my problems.”
She shakes her head.
“You’re on the trip you and your brother always planned on doing.”
“Emma, it took me years to make this trip and I honestly don’t know if i ever would have made it past Derry if I hadn’t had you at my side.”
“Derry was my fault,” she whispers and he physically turns in his seat, face incredulous.
“Excuse me? Please enlighten me.”
“Well, I mean, think of if you had never met me--”
“No.”
“Killian, let me finish,” she says and it’s without malice. It’s actually said with a bit of a laugh at his expression, his absolute refusal to play her game.
“Absolutely not. I know what you are going to try and say and it’s rubbish. I refuse to even let you say the words. And it’s an impossibility anyway, how could I ever picture a world you aren’t in now that you’re in mine?”
What is she supposed to say to that?
“Good,” he finally says after a bout of silence. “Take the next left,” he adds when their last turn appears.
She carefully takes the next turn and it’s just a few more miles before they pull into the lot of a large, bright yellow building and she kills the motor. His hand closes over hers.
“Emma, I think you are the best thing that could have ever happened to me on this trip. You gave me the courage to face, well, anything, and when you’re ready to face your own ghosts, I’ll be right here. That could be right now or tomorrow or whenever.”
She searches his face for the lie.
“I’m really a mess,” she mumbles but he simply shakes his head and pulls her hand to his lips.
“Who isn’t?”
She thinks a little and shrugs, finally offering a true smile.
“There she is. Now let’s go see if they indeed kept our reservation for the elusive private room.”
And with that, and his arched eyebrow, she can’t get to the front desk fast enough.
xo
The place turns out to be more like a bed and breakfast. The owners are kind and quick to offer homemade snacks from the kitchen while they explain the ins and out of their stay: when breakfast is served in the morning, the twenty-four hour shuttle service that’s available to get to restaurants and bars, and a little bit about the small town.
They must give the same description dozens of times a week but they manage to sound as enthusiastic and friendly as people who are just opening their doors for the first time.
“And how long have you been operating this place?” Emma asks as one of the owners slides the key into their door.
“Oh, well, Matthew, our son, is twenty-one, so it’ll be twenty-two years this fall. Even our boys help out. You’ll see them in the morning,” she explains and pushes the door open, leading them in. “And here we are.”
The light to the room flickers on, bathing it in a warm yellow light, revealing the largest room they’ve stayed in to date. Although, most striking is instead of the standard four bunk beds, the room holds one set in the corner but a large queen bed takes up most of the space right in the middle.
Emma nearly groans at the sight of it.
She manages to wait until the owner leaves but as soon as she gently closes the door behind her, Emma’s bag is unceremoniously dropped and she launches herself into the big bed.
“Oh, I feel like a queen,” she exclaims, arms and legs thrown out wide, covering as much of the bed as she can. “I can barely believe it. I almost forgot what it feels like.”
Killian is more patient, hanging his coat, placing both their bags on chairs. He leans back against the door, seeming content to watch her.
“What are you doing? Come here, experience this,” Emma asks, turning to her side and patting the bed.
He looks at the spot and then looks at her and suddenly the air in the room seems heavier. Like she’s only realized just now that they are really alone, no one to bother them, nowhere to go, just all this time available to them, and she’s not sure if she feels like she’s drowning in the weight of the expectation of it all or ready to swim right across to him.
“Should I get us some food first?”
“Or I can shower first?”
Their questions come at the same time and she laughs, falling to her back and staring up at the ceiling. She counts the wood beams running across until they are blocked out by Killian leaning over her.
“Hi,” she whispers.
He shakes his head and leans in to leave her with a parting kiss.
“You shower. I’ll go find some food.”
She nods and watches him leave. It’s only when she hears the door click and his footsteps fading away that she brings the pillow over her face and groans.
After a beat, she drops the pillow and looks towards the shower.
“Shower it is.”
xo
She ends up taking her time in the shower. It loosens her sore muscles and lessens her worries, although it doesn’t do anything to diminish the realization that she has Killian all to herself. That they are finally alone and that so much has been leading to this.
He had been right the other night in the shower. Their tryst had done nothing but make her even more aware of how badly she wanted him. And she could tell every time she caught his eye he felt the same. She feels her belly tighten with a desire, she’s never felt before and she hurries to get out of the shower, knowing exactly what she wants and for once she’s going to take it.
She wraps herself in a towel and quickly runs one through her hair, not caring if she gets the floor wet. She tosses the extra towel in the sink and thinks if she hurries she can be waiting for him when get back.
But when she steps out, she nearly runs into Killian, who is just stepping back into the room with a plate teeming with food.
“I, uh, hope you’re hungry,” he offers, eyes roving over her form.
She’s pretty sure he’s watching the water drip down her neck, disappearing between the valley of her breasts, just beyond the towel.
“Oh yeah, I could definitely eat… or...”
She’s not looking at the food at all.
His eyes look up but he seems at a loss for words. She feels a small thrill at the way he swallows hard.
“I think…” she starts and takes the plate from him and puts it down on the table and crowds into his space. His back hits the wall, and she feels his quick exhale against her skin.
Her nipples tighten under the towel.
“I’m quite filthy, love.”
She squeezes her thighs together.
“I don’t care.”
“But you’re so clean.”
He draws a fingers across her collarbone and she closes her eyes at the touch. She’s so keyed up, he may as well be drawing that same finger between her legs.
She opens her eyes and fixes him with a stare.
“I’ll shower again later, I’ll even keep you company.”
He laughs but still hesitates, not agreeing but not yet moving anymore than that one frustrating finger, back and forth, dipping a little lower to run over the top of her breasts.
“You smell fucking good enough to eat.”
“So have a taste.”
His eyes darken and his hand pauses, so she takes matters into her own hands, pulling the towel apart and letting it drop to the floor.
“Christ,” he mumbles, “you’re so fucking beautiful.” And finally, his hand cups her naked hip, pulling her tight against him. She hiccups out a small cry when she braces her hands against his chest. His lips are a breath from hers when she pulls back.
“Wait. You have way too many clothes on.”
She gives herself a bit of room and helps him with his shirt, tossing it somewhere behind her before hesitating over his brace.
He almost always already has it off before climbing into bed, or just isn’t wearing it but this is the first time where she can really reach out and touch.
“Can I?” she asks, fingers drifting to the strap over his shoulder.
He nods and this time she doesn’t hesitate to help it over his shoulder blade, loosening the hold it has. He helps her, getting one arm out and showing her how he pulls off the brace, all the while, eyes hesitantly flicking up to hers.
When it’s off, and she smiles, she expects him to place it somewhere on a table but when she bites her lip, it’s dropped to the floor and he’s on her before she can say anything else. His hand cups her breast, and his head is just descending when there’s a knock at the door.
“Don’t you dare stop,” she whispers through clenched teeth.
His eyes light up and he spins her back against the door with a quiet thud and his mouth finally closes over her nipple. Her head falls back, eyes closing.
“Emma? You guys coming to dinner?”
Anna. Emma could kill her. She could actually commit murder right then and there.
“No. Nope.”
He brings his teeth into the mix and her eyes nearly roll back into her head.
“You sure?”
“Anna, I really like and appreciate you but if you could go away and not come back until morning or next year, that would be great.”
There’s a cackle and something that sounds like, a finally!
“Roger that.”
And abruptly she’s being picked up and carried to the bed. She doesn’t care who hears the surprised cry because the way Killian is looking at her, the whole world could be outside her door and she wouldn’t care. He drops her without warning in the middle of the mattress and she lets out a breathless laugh, falling back to her elbows.
He takes her in from the end of the bed, hand on his top button, eyes roving.
“Killian.”
“Emma.”
“Get on with it.”
“I mean I could still go shower.”
She scrambles up to her knees, one hand closing over his, the other over the outline of him, pressing hard against her hand. Her teeth graze over his neck as he swallows, before her tongue darts out to taste.
“Now, Killian.”
She pulls back and her hand gives him another pass. He groans low in his throat.
“As the lady wishes.”
He captures her hands and urges her back to the bed. She lays back and watches him deftly pop his button, and finally rid himself of his pants and underwear. She holds her breath as he crawls over her, legs falling open to cradle him between her thighs.
His fingers pinch and tease and he watches her face for a reaction and she can’t help the whine that escapes, her eyes closing at the sensation.
She arches her neck when he switches sides and mouth drops low, running up the column of her throat, finding the edge of her lobe before biting down.
“I could listen to the sounds you make all night,” he whispers, his voice rough, his hips finally lowering another inch. She feels him brush against her and she gasps.
“All night? Is that a promise?.”
He buries his face in her neck and slides against her again, slow and dirty.
Her thighs tighten against his hips but somehow, she remembers.
“Condom, condom is on the nightstand.”
He teases her one more time before pulling back with dark eyes. She can’t help but pull him down for a kiss before letting him go to grab the foil packet.
She watches him with her heart beating frantically in her chest, an overwhelming feeling taking hold, a want so great her words catch in her throat, only a soft please slipping out.
“I’m right here, we’re right here, oh God,” he echoes as he finally slips inside, pushing deep and swallowing her gasp.
It’s never been like this, she thinks.
“It’s never,” she finally whispers out loud, hand cupping his cheek, nails scratching through his scruff before pulling his lips to hers once again.
“Oh love, I know.”
She tightens her legs and pulls him deeper, closing her eyes against the sensations. It’s so much more than she could have imagined. He fills her with every stroke, bringing her closer each time, whispering how good she feels, how tight, how wet.
Her eyes open when his hand trails down her body, intent on touching where they are joined, and she’s already so close, so overwhelmed it doesn’t take much.
“It’s okay, Emma, give this one to me.”
And she nods, wanting so badly to fall.
Another pass of his fingers and she does, crying out as the orgasm still manages to catch her by surprise, the pleasure so much more intense than she had imagined.
His head falls to her neck, his groan causing goosebumps to spread across her skin as he takes what he needs, following soon after, too caught up in the feel of her.
She pulls his full weight onto her, legs wrapping around him as they both catch their breath, bodies slick with sweat, hearts still pounding.
She runs her fingers through his hair, content to just have him there.
Her lips find his ear and she whispers, “That was… wow..”
He laughs and then groans, slowly pulling it out, but stopping to look down at her.
“What?” she asks, a little shy and the intense look.
“Nothing. I’m just committing this moment to memory.”
She’s surprised to feel her cheeks heat up.
He presses a kiss to her forehead.
“Come on, I need that shower. Your offer to join still stands?”
And who is she to deny him.
“I did say I would, didn’t I?” she asks and plucks a grape from the plate before being tugged away into the bathroom. Her laugh following after her.

Checking It Twice
Hummel Holidays day 19: shopping 2016
pairing: Kadam of course...
“What do you want for Christmas, Adam?” Kurt called from the kitchen as he was making lunch one afternoon.
“It’s August.  I haven’t thought about it.”
“Can you think about it so I can finish my shopping list?  I mean I know I’ll have to add some things closer to Christmas, but I’d like my main shopping done by the start of October.”
“You’re doing your Christmas shopping now?” Adam asked.
Kurt snorted.  He came out and stood next to where Adam had been working on a paper.
“I started my Christmas shopping for this Christmas on the 26th of December last Christmas.” Kurt said. “I get better deals this way.  In May, I found 80 dollar cashmere scarves on sale for 6 bucks…men’s scarves.  They also had hats and gloves, good gloves, on sale as well.  And 90 dollar women’s basic longer length cable knit sweaters in nice solid colors…for 2 bucks.  No snags or holes or anything…just out of season.  But Carole doesn’t care and neither do most girls I know, so those were a great find.  And I got the Kitchen aid mixer Carole’s been wanting…for 1/3 the price because the color is now out of fashion.”
“Well, there are some board games I’d like to get…and I’ve been wanting to pick up my cello again but I need lessons and haven’t gotten around to getting those.  And my cello won’t be getting here until Christmas when it comes with my family.  Oh…my family will be here, so tickets to things we could do.”
“Your family will be here?” Kurt said quietly.
“Yes.  Remember, I asked if you were staying so you could meet them?”
Kurt nodded.
“I think I thought you meant over Skype or something.  I need names and likes and lists, Adam. I need lists!  Who will be here?  Who is staying in England?  Sizes? Colors they look good in? Allergies?  Kids?  Kids will need presents under the tree.”  Kurt was sounding more and more frantic as he went on.
“Darling, Hush now!” Adam said.
Kurt stopped and breathed deeply.
“It’s just…I have to make a good impression, Adam.  I love you…and if they don’t like me, then what?” Kurt asked.
Adam smiled and pulled Kurt down to him, kissing him deeply before pulling back and kissing Kurt’s nose. “I would tell them all where to go. I love you and my family’s opinion won’t change that. Got it?”
Kurt nodded. “Got it.”
“Grab a pencil…and some paper.” Adam said, pushing Kurt up again.  He waited until Kurt was back with a notebook and pulled Kurt into his lap fully.  “Now, number one…everyone is flying in so not a lot of things or a lot of big things. I’d tell you nothing at all, but I know you my dear…and that would not happen.”
“Hey!”
“Can you actually convince me otherwise?”
Kurt shook his head.
“I thought not. Number two...you, my love, are helping me entertain them for TWO WEEKS…consider that.”
Kurt nodded.
“And finally…my family already adores you because I believe you hang the moon and the stars and that the sun revolves around you. You wouldn’t need to get them anything. However…my family are such huge tourists.  Seriously…get them all New York things and everyone would be happy.  Anything with New York splattered across it.”
Kurt glared at Adam, who laughed.
“You can glare at me now…but when the littles are looking at you asking for a New York bottle opener…you’ll see.”
“Bottle opener?” Kurt asked.
Adam nodded. “It had an apple on it.  Their mother intervened…it was pokey.”
Kurt laughed.
“So…who will be here?”
“My mother and father, my grandparents, and two of three siblings and their families.  Ava is the only one who will not be able to make it.” Adam said.
“Ava is the one closest in age to you, right?” Kurt asked.
“Yes, she is taking classes during the winter break. She is two years younger than me.”
“Close to my age, then?”
Adam nodded. “Emily is four years older than me and she has three kids.  Twins, Piper and Philippa and  Thor.  Thor is about a year and half…and the twins turn four in January.  Her husband is Ashton. Paul is seven years older than me. He has Evelyn who is seven and Joselyn who is five.  They are from his first marriage.  His current wife is Pansy.  She brought with her Luke.  He is seven as well.  They have Briar, who is maybe 6 months…but I don’t think even that old…and they’ve been married three months.”
“Is Paul’s first wife in the picture?”
“No.  They were divorced when she died though…and the girls hadn’t even lived with her alone.  She died here in the states from a drug overdose.  She left Paul only a few months after Joselyn was born…just took off one day.  There is actually a wife between the girls’ mum and Pansy…but they didn’t have kids.”
“What do the kids like?”
“Evelyn loves to read. She asked for those American Girls books?  I don’t know what they are…”
“Historical fiction.  They have dolls, too.  They wear period clothing, sort of.”
“Anyway…she is fascinated with those.  Last I knew, all Joselyn liked was swords. I’ll have to ask my mum if her tastes have broadened. Luke hates everything. Piper and Philippa I have no idea about other than Philippa will only wear yellows and purples and black and jeans. Piper wears everything.  Not a clue about Thor…they were here last December but Thor was not even sitting up on his own yet.  He is no longer bald.  That I do know.  I’m not sure I’ve even seen more than one picture of Briar…and that was right after she was born. Pansy is high maintenance. Paul is just high strung…that one needs a real vacation. Ashton’s a bit of a snob and Emily is just….Emily.”
“What ever does that mean?”
“She would say that she is forgettable.  She isn’t very good at anything or very bad at anything.  She isn’t ugly or beautiful.  Just is just average in all she does.  Emily manages…she manages her family and mom and dad and the grandparents and clubs and community gatherings and parties and events.  And she organizes.  A bit like you in that area.  I bet she has her shopping nearly done as well.”
Kurt nodded and wrote down notes of everything Adam had told him.
“I suppose it is good that I have Black Friday between now and your family visiting.  Now…about your folks and grandparents…those might even be more important that your siblings and their kids.”
“My Nan is a bit…chipper. Much to chipper for her own good or anyone else’s really.  Da says she was always that way and people had just best get used to it and don’t ever make her cry because it breaks everyone’s hearts until she is cheery again.  She likes chocolate, but not American so don’t go with that.  She likes warm and soft and fizzy things and paints and scrapbooks in an elaborate fashion.   Pops likes gardening and has a small professional photography business.  He takes photos of people’s pets.  Rarely people.  My father is of course a barrister and plays in the symphony orchestra. Da likes darts and would like to go bowling while here and also try out laser tag.”
Kurt chuckled.
“My mum likes quilting and singing, but she does neither very well.  She is good at cooking and works at a local bakery. She wants to be that Duff cake guy when she grows up…her words not mine.  She is an avid reader and will read pretty much anything. Her father is a retired professor and taught anthropology.  He specialized in the Romans.  Her mother taught as well, in primary school to the littlest ones.  She likes Darts and is a card shark.  They go gambling at least twice a year somewhere and my grandmother almost always comes home with more than they went with.”
Kurt smiled.
“They sound nice.”
“They sound a wee bit nuts, because they are.  But they already adore you and will love you completely before they go home…and then drag you with us on next summer’s excursion. Mother wants to go to a rodeo…and all the grandparents want to see some of the more famous national parks. They’ve been saving for years and years.”
Kurt laughed.
“I’ve never been to any of them. It could be fun.”
“We’ll have to hike with youngsters and buy souvenirs.”
“We should see if my dad and Carole want to go to, if your family still likes me at the end of the two weeks.  He’s always wanted to go to Mount Rushmore and Yellowstone.”
Adam beamed. “That would be wonderful.”
“So…will you help me with the shopping for them?”
“Of course, love.  I actually adore shopping with you.”
Kurt beamed.  “Now, what do you want for Christmas?”
Adam laughed.
“You, and a stocking full of goodies just for us and a hide away to play with them for a week…but that will have to wait for after Christmas…so…all I want for Christmas is you.” Adam sang the last bit to Kurt.
Kurt groaned. “Cheesy, my dear heart.  Now you are getting socks and underwear.”
Adam pulled Kurt in for more kissing.  “Don’t care if I have you, too.  Is lunch done?  Or rather…can lunch be postponed until…oh…a few hours from now…after we have retired to the bed for playtime and then come back out?”
Kurt smiled.  “I was just making sandwiches and they can be put in the fridge.  Let me up and I’ll meet you in the bedroom.  We should have a more in depth discussion about what you’d like in your stocking after all.”
Adam released Kurt and watched as he sauntered to the kitchen.  He saved his paper and raced to the bedroom…he had a few examples of things he’d like in his stocking to find before Kurt joined him.

2k Celebration
I’d like to do something more for the 2k celebration. In addition to you guys writing for me, I’d like to do some writing for you. I’m starting to get burnt out writing RED ICE, so I need to take a break. A good way for me to do this is to write for OTHER characters. I’m going to provide a list of prompts and characters, and you guys just have to send me a number (preferably not more than two at once as my brain can’t handle that), a character or two (or you can let me chose the character(s)), and what you’d like the pairing to be. (Please be sure to include what pronouns you want the reader to have if you chose a reader insert. If you don’t, I’ll default to she/her.) Please send your requests in as asks, not as comments on this post. I WILL NOT BE WRITING FOR CONNOR OR LOKI.
I will write for the other DBH and MCU characters, as well as Markiplier and Jacksepticeye’s Egos.
The prompts are:
1. “I apologise in advance for the inconvenience my murder is going to have on your life.”
2. “I hate you.” “Why? I’m lovely.”
3. “Murder wasn’t on today’s agenda.” “It’s not on anyone’s.” “No, it’s on mine, just not until next Thursday.”
4. “Hold on, you died.” “Yeah, well it didn’t stick.”
5. “This is my life now. I have climbed this hill and now I will die upon it.” “Shut up. We’ve only been hiking for twenty minutes.”
6. “She’s crying, what do I do?” “Go comfort her.” “How do I do that?” “Start with hugs.” “With what?”
7. “What’s our exit strategy?” “Our what?” “Oh my god, we’re all going to die.”
8. “I’m going to need chicken blood, salt, five candles, and a bottle of vodka.” “Vodka? For the spell?” “No, that’s just to make me feel better about ripping a hole in the universe.”
9. “Are you clinically insane or incredibly annoying?” “I don’t know, probably both.”
10. “I saved your lives.” “How? By stealing our freedom? Our minds? Our identity?”
11. “It takes a very special kind of idiot to pull off what you just did.”
12. “I’m getting really tired of pretending I’m not evil.”
13. “Did you just agree with me?” “Oh I wish I could take-” “Nope! You said it! No take-backs!”
14. “It’s a long story.” “You conned me into thinking you were dead for eleven months. I have time.”
15. “I regret a lot of things. Having this conversation tops the list.”
16. “I had a thought.” “Oh no.” “I swear it’s a good one this time!’
17. “FBI, open the door!” “No. It’s cooler when you break in.”
18. “Do you think they remember you?” “I sure hope not after what I did the last time I was here.” “What did you do?” “You’ll find out.”
19. “You look…” “Beautiful, I know. Can we move on?”
20. “You scared me!” “Well, I am naturally terrifying.”
21. “I’d agree with you, but then we’d both be wrong.”
22. “I’d take a bullet for you, you know that.” “You’re immortal, and I’m going to kill you if you keep saying that.”
23. “You really have no clue who I am?” “You’d think the confused looks and blank stare would have answered that for you.”
24. “I am way too sober for this.”
25. “You don’t strike me as a professional criminal.” “That’s what makes me so good at it.”
26. “I don’t think of you as a protector. More like a distraction.”
27. “We have five people trying to kill us right now, what are we supposed to do?” “Actually, it’s more like eight.” “Oh, sorry I wasn’t specific enough!”
28. “If you could even comprehend where I’ve come from, you would be terrified of me.”
29. “I saved your life!” “You pushed me off a building.”
30. “You know we’re not all born with the ability to throw fireballs, right?”
31. “How do we keep getting into these situations?” “Eleven years of friendship and I still don’t know.”
32. “Did you hear that scream?” “Yes, I’m the one who screamed.”
33. “Are you SURE I can’t punch him in the face?” “Yes.” “What if I just break his nose a little?”
34. “You are remarkably well behaved tonight. What did you do?”
35. “You’re-you’re crushing my spleen.” “You don’t even know where your spleen is.”
36. “I’m no detective, of course, but I think this dead body might not be alive anymore.”
37. “Right now, I don’t know if I want to kiss you or shove you off a bridge.” “Can I pick?”
38. “The real treasure was the memories we made along the way.” “I almost died!” “Ah yes, that was my fondest memory.”
39. “I’m trying to have a serious conversation with you!” “And I’m trying to subtly avoid it!”
40. “Hey, I didn’t kill anyone today!” “What do you want? A gold star?”
41. “I hate you.” “Why? I’m lovely.”
42. “On a scale from one to ten, how bad do you think it would be if-” “At least a twenty.”
43. “Literally everything about this is illegal.”
44. “Seven billion people in the world, and you’re overreacting because we killed one man.” “But-” “Seven. Billion. People. Now quit the complaining and drink your smoothie.”
45. “It’s not my birthday.” “It’s definitely your birthday.” “Give me a calendar. It’s not and I will prove it to – oh. Never mind. Happy birthday to me.”
46. “On a scale from one to ten, how bad do you want to kill me right now?” “I’m hovering somewhere in the high thirties.”
47. “I can fix that.” “I’m calling a professional.” “I’m a professional.” “A more professional, professional.”
48. “What’s the word for that infestation of tiny creatures over there?” “Those are children. That’s a school.”
49. “I have a concern.” “Just one?” “No, but I didn’t think you’d let me speak my piece if I told you how many I actually have.”
53. “What is that THING in your backpack?” “It’s my new pet dragon.” “Dragons aren’t real!” “Then why is there one in my backpack?”
I read it on Wikipedia.”
94. “Just calm down!” “My leg just dematerialised and you want me to calm down!?”
101. “I don’t know what the protocol is for revealing your secret identity so, hi? Surprise?”
102. You always think you know what you’d do when faced with the end of the world. Me? I went home and took a nap.
(There’s a weird cut here because I’m using prompts from multiple posts that I have saved. Sorry.)
107. “You’re the only thing left that is important to me now.” 108. “Please, put some pants on, you’re embarrassing me.” 109. “Oh, love, I don’t think you understand the meaning of sarcasm.” 110. “You don’t get to touch her! Not anymore. Not after what you did!” 111. “I think i’m going insane.” 112. “You’re the only one for me.” 113. “Honestly, if you wanted sex this bad you could’ve just told me!” 114. “I’ve come to the conclusion, that this house just might be haunted.” 115. “What makes you say that?” 116. “There was this perfect moment. This perfect moment where everything that I wanted was clearly in front of me… and i understood.” 117. “You broke my favourite vase!” 118. “I think we should get a puppy, and with this puppy we should become the stereotypical cute couple. As well as because I want a dog.” 119. “You’re crazy.” 120. “I promise that i’ll protect you.” 121. “I don’t need saving. Not now! Not ever.” 122. “You act as if you’re the hard done by. You’re not.” 123. “You cheated on me! What was I suppose to do? Smile and forgive you?” 124. “I think you’re worth much more than that.” 125. “I’d rather die than do that.” 126. “Did you ever wonder what brought us together?” 127. “Is… that really you? I’m in.” 162. “Hurry up! Would you?!” 163. “Take the long way around” 164. “Can you shut up for five minutes, please???” 165. “He’s been gone for quite a while” 166. “I can’t see anything.” 167. “I heard a noise.” 168. “Where’s my food?” 169. “I bet you feel like an artist” 170. “Can I be of assistance?” 171. “Get out of the way before I murder you.” 172. “You’re breaking my heart, babe.” 173. “Cry me a river. Build a bridge. Get over it.” 174. “Another credit card?!” 175. “It’s just rain, you aren’t gonna melt!” 176. “Have you ever lied to me?” 177. “I’m stuck! Help me!” 178. “I swear, I’m not scared.” 179. “What do you think a cupholder is for?” 180. “You know when your phone buzzes, it means I’m trying to talk to you, right?” 181. “Turn that sh*t off!!!!” 182. “When’s that last time we went on a date?” 183. “I thought you didn’t like cats?” 184. “The door’s locked.” 185. “I’ll just tell your mom on you.” 186. “I thought you were nice.” 187. “I had a dream about you.” 188. “What colour do you like better?” 189. “Take notes, sweetheart.” 190. “This is where you impress me, right?” 191. “Pick up lines only work when I’m drunk.” 192. “I can’t believe you didn’t remember” 193. “If that makes me a child, so be it.” 194. “I could beat you up, you know that right?” 195. “Would it kill you to help people?” 196. “I bet you can’t go 24 hours without cussing.” 197. “But, I said I love you.” 198. “Is it just me or is cold as hell in here?” 199. “I’m not weird, you’re just basic.” 200. “Just sleep with one eye open, that’s all I’m saying” 201. “Take off your shirt.” 202. “We could get struck by lightning, but you want to kiss in the rain.” 203. “You’re never this quiet, what’s wrong? 204. “Sit still, for the love of all that is Holy.” 205. “I’ve seen terror... and you don’t have his smile.”

8 Budget Plan Friendly Trip Ideas for 2018
Updated: 11/8/2018 | November 8th, 2018
While many of us dream of traveling the world (or at least taking a few months off from work in pursuit of adventure), it’s not always feasible, even for those with the best of intentions. A lot of things can get in the way.
I frequently talk about long-term travel and round-the-world trips, but I know that realistically, not everyone can or wants to enjoy this style of travel. I don’t think traveling the world is hard, but I also know that what I do isn’t for everyone.
Some people just want to go on a cheap vacation for a few weeks. Not everyone has the time or luxury to take an extended trip.
So what do you do when you only have a short amount of time and a short amount of money?
What are some budget vacation ideas that aren’t about traveling the world?
Even if I won’t find you backpacking Cambodia for three months or walking the Camino de Santiago, there are many ways to get on the road and see the world without breaking the bank! Here are eight cheap travel ideas if you are cash-strapped and/or time-poor:
Cheap Vacation Idea 1: Be a Local Tourist
How often do you visit the tourist sites in your own city? Hardly ever, right? I know New Yorkers who have never seen the Statue of Liberty and Bostonians who have never walked the Freedom Trail. I once took a Dutch friend on a tour of Amsterdam because, despite growing up there, she had never seen the local attractions that lure millions of visitors to the city every year.
We’re all guilty of this. It took me five years to see the Jim Thompson House in Bangkok (even after living there), and I’ve still never been to Bunker Hill in Boston despite spending the first 24 years of my life there.
We always put it off until tomorrow, because when we live in a city, we think there is always a tomorrow.
We get so caught up in our daily lives we forget that we can have a cheap vacation in our own city. We don’t have to go anywhere!
If you’re short on time and money, there’s no better way to spend some free time than to wander your own city. No matter what its size, it has a number of wonders that you’ve never seen or even known about because you just don’t like! We’re busy leading our lives and following our routines. It’s normal but let’s look at your home with new eyes.
Be a traveler in your own town!
Important tips: When you become a local tourist, check out of your house and into a hotel, hostel, or guesthouse. It’s important to get out of your familiar environment because if you stay home, you’ll find something to do around the house and create excuses for why you can’t sightsee. Moving to a different location can help give you that feeling of adventure, excitement, and unfamiliarity.
Moreover, be sure to go to your local tourism office and get a city tourism pass. These cards allow you to see a wide range of local attractions for free or reduced prices and can be your way to see your local sites on a budget. They aren’t just for outsiders!
Cheap Vacation Idea 2: Travel Regionally
Travel brings to mind faraway and exotic destinations. It invokes images of all the places we’ve dreamed of and seen in movies. Because of that, few people look in their own backyard for adventure — as my Aussie friends always tell me before they jet off somewhere, “Mate, you’ve probably seen more of Oz than I have!” — but it offers just as many places to travel.
I could say the same thing as my Aussie friends. I grew up in Boston, and from there, I could visit New Hampshire, the woods of Maine, the bed-and-breakfasts of the Berkshires, or the farms of Vermont. New York was a four-hour car ride from home. How often did I do that? Not often enough!
Exploring your own region is an underrated and often overlooked aspect of travel. It gets the occasional lip service in magazines, but driving across the United States made me realize how much our own countries have to offer us and how often we overlook that for some foreign place.
There’s something special about being a stranger in your homeland and realizing you really don’t know much about it as you thought.
We think because we’re born in a place we understand it but every country has regional differences that make it unique and, unless we travel to see and experience them, we’ll never fully understand the place we call home.
Driving across my country (the U.S.) taught me a lot about it. It gave me a deep appreciation for it, the people, and the diversity within its borders. It broke down stereotypes and misconceptions I had about the different regions in the US. My time exploring my own backyard was just as important to my growth as any trip to a foreign country.
If you’re on a limited budget, can’t afford a flight or a trip to exotic lands, or just want to do something different, don’t forget that you can always travel your own country. It can be just as powerful as visiting another country.
Cheap Vacation Idea 3: Go to National Parks
The great outdoors present a great chance to go somewhere on the cheap. Camping, after all, costs very little money. Camping fees in national parks are as little as $15 USD per night in the United States, $15-40 CAD in Canada, $10-60 AUD in Australia, and $17-22 NZD in New Zealand. And in many places in Japan and Europe (especially Scandinavia), you can camp on public lands for free. Additionally, you go camping stocked with all your own supplies and accommodation (i.e., a tent), so you don’t have to worry about spending lots of extra money. Your food bill can be whatever you spend on groceries and nothing more.
You don’t need to love camping to spend time in the national parks, either. Personally, I hate camping. I’m not the camp-in-a-tent kind of guy; I need toilets, beds, and hot water. Luckily, many parks provide cabins. While hiking the Grand Canyon, I stayed at a national park lodge at the bottom. I had a room in a dormitory, but for a few nights, it was the cheap accommodation I needed.
There’s almost always a park nearby and spending a few days with nature is not only good for your wallet but also good for your soul.
Along these same lines, Camp in My Garden is a website that lets people camp in someone’s backyard (or garden). Got an RV that needs parking? Check out RV with Me, which finds cheap parking and overnight solutions for RV owners!
Cheap Vacation Idea 4: Book a Last-Minute Cruise (or Book Far in Advance)
Cruises are normally very expensive, affairs with a seven-day Caribbean cruise costing over $600–700 USD per person for a small interior room. And, if you’re traveling alone, you often have to pay the price of two people since not many cruise lines offer single traveler rooms!
But, if you’re the last passenger running onto that ship, you can find some sweet deals.
Cruise lines always offer incredible last-minute deals. No ship’s captain – or cruise company – wants to leave with half the cabins empty. If you wait until a few weeks before departure, you can find some really amazing deals as cruise lines scramble to find passengers. Plus, cruise operators always throw in some on-board amenities, free upgrades, and cash vouchers to sweeten the deal.
The website CruiseSheet often has cruises as low as $30 per day! (It’s the best cruise booking website in the world!)
Conversely, if you book over a year in advance, cruise lines also offer amazing low fares for early birds.
Cruises are the one form of travel for which I recommend visiting a travel agent if you’re part of a big group. They have wonderful working relationships with the operators and can score better packages than booking online.
After you book, keep an eye out on prices, because if they drop, you can often call your travel agent or the cruise company itself to get a partial refund or vouchers to use for dining and alcohol on the boat.

Cheap Vacation Idea 5: Think Outside the Box
Forget Mexico and go to Guatemala. Skip Paris and head to Budapest. Forget Italy and see Greece (it’s really cheap!). Ditch Brazil and take on Bolivia instead. The list goes on and on. There are countless cheap alternatives and budget destinations around the world!
Travel counter to the prevailing trend.
Zig when everyone zags.
If people are going in the summer, you go in the spring or winter. Skip the popular destinations and head off the beaten path a bit.
Contrarian travel will save you a bundle of money. It’s like reverse commuting. While others heading into the city in the morning for work are stuck in traffic, you breeze the opposite way hassle free. The same is true for travel.
The more you are a contrarian in where – and when you go – the better off you’re wallet will be. Plus, you’ll enjoy destinations more because there will be fewer crowds. No one loves a crowd!

Cheap Vacation Idea 6: Book a Last-Minute Tour
Just like cruises, tours are best booked last-minute. Tour companies need to fill the seats just like cruise companies, because once that trip departs, they still have the same costs. Last-minute tour bookings work the same way as cruise bookings.
Why are tours so cheap last-minute? Well, think about how people plan vacations. You get the time off work, you book your vacation, you buy your flight, and you go. Since people pre-book, prices are higher in advance because these companies understand booking patterns and then price accordingly. As departure time nears, companies know people aren’t likely to turn up and book on departure day, so they sweeten the price to increase bookings. So take the time off work, wait until the week before, see what’s cheap, and then go.
My favorite company, Intrepid Travel, often offers 15–30% discounts on last-minute tours.
Cheap Vacation Idea 7: Become a House Sitter
Accommodation can eat into the cost of a trip big-time. You might get a flight deal, but then accommodation — even if you can find it cheaply — might push the cost of your trip into unaffordable territory. A way around that is to stay somewhere for free. While I like Couchsurfing, it’s hard to do that for two weeks without annoying your host. A unique way to overcome this is to house-sit for someone while they are on vacation. You get free accommodation, a kitchen to cook in, and the chance to explore a destination in depth. It’s a pretty unique way to travel and one that I know a lot of world travelers take advantage of. You can even do this in your own region too, to cut down on transportation costs.
Cheap Vacation Idea 8: Grab a Cheap Flight
Nowadays, you don’t have to guess where the cheapest flight from your home would be. You can look up a whole list of flights (from cheapest to increasingly more expensive) using a site like Momondo or Google Flights. With those sites, you can type in “(the closest airport to you)” for your departure city and “everywhere” for your destination. Then a list of the cheapest flights appears in front of your very eyes, so you can choose where to go within your budget. This is how I decide where to go when I don’t have a specific place in mind. It’s a great tool!
Here are some other great airline booking sites where you can find deals:
Not everyone can jump overseas at the drop of a hat or spend six months backpacking around Europe or Asia. A fancy vacation to Mexico may be out of your reach. But while you might not have a lot of time or money, luckily there’s more than one way to see the world. These cheap vacation ideas may be exactly what you’re looking for!
Travel is simply the art of going somewhere new and different and exploring everything the place has to offer. It doesn’t matter if you have two days, two weeks, or two months. Use these cheap vacation ideas and go explore – on a budget!

I read it on Wikipedia.”
94. “Just calm down!” “My leg just dematerialised and you want me to calm down!?”
101. “I don’t know what the protocol is for revealing your secret identity so, hi? Surprise?”
102. You always think you know what you’d do when faced with the end of the world. Me? I went home and took a nap.

10 Habits For A More Conscious Life...
Tumblr media
1. Composting
Composting is such an easy thing to do in day to day life. I think many people have this idea that its time consuming, smelly, or complicated. I promise you, it is exactly NONE of those things.
Collecting it couldn’t be simpler. I have one of these countertop compost buckets that I fill up with nitrogen-rich fruit and vegetable scraps as I’m preparing meals. I also throw in paper products such as junk mail and newspapers as to be my carbon source.
Tumblr media
When the bucket is filled myself, or most commonly, my partner will take it outside to the compost pile. We keep a shovel sticking out if it and whenever we have new scraps to deposit, we dig a little hold, toss them in, and cover. The entire process takes less than five minutes and we do it about once a week depending.
If you’re in an apartment with a patio or a small lot in suburbia, they make compost tumblers that are perfect for you! This is what I had when I lived in a more traditional neighborhood and it worked great.
If you have some land, like I do now, literally just start throwing it in a pile somewhere on the property as previously stated.
Some cities even offer composting programs where you can put your scraps by the curb to be collected by waste management or have drop sites you can donate your compost to be used in local gardens, etc.
Regardless of your set up, composting is very manageable to easy to do! Your compost should never smell either. Compost smells like dirt, even before and while it’s breaking down when done correctly.
2. Plastic Reduction
Plastic reduction is something we can all and SHOULD all be doing. Rather than buying plastic food storage containers that actually leach into your food, buy glass containers. Rather than plastic straws, buy reusable stainless steel ones.
It always drives me completely nuts when I see people buying cases of water. WHAT?!!?! Have you not been watching the news, my sweet friend, plastic is killing our ocean life and takes over 500 years to break down. It NEVER decomposes, only breaks down into microscopic pieces. It’s kind of a major deal.
Invest in a fun and functional reusable water bottle and refill it using some sort of reusable water filtering pitcher. The filters are replaceable and last for months so not only will you save money but you’ll be helping out mother Earth as well.
There are a million and one ways to reduce your plastic usages. Take your own bags to the grocery store, or at least request paper bags at check out. Skip the plastic produce bags or again, you could bring your own mesh bags. You can even bring mason jars for bulk items.
Every step forward is progress. Think about the impact it would have on the world if every single citizen just committed to making ONE permanent change in their effort to reduce plastic consumption.
3. Gardening
Gardening is one of those simple pleasures in life that really only rewards us.
If you live in a home with limited outdoor space, consider growing a few little things in pots. If you have land to utilize, do as much as you feel compelled to do!
There are so many different methods of gardening. You can do a potted patio garden or a raised bed garden on a manicured lawn. There are strawbale gardens and hydroponic gardens. You can even till up an entire field and become a regular farmer!
No matter what way you go about it, it will teach you an appreciation of where your food comes from and reward you for your efforts!
4. Food Preservation
Food preservation goes hand in hand with gardening. The more you grow, the more you can preserve! Typically, any one plant will overproduce making it impossible for a single person or even small family to consume all the produce before it starts to decompose and go bad. This is when preservation comes in handy!
Tumblr media
Of course, there are several ways to preserve the fruit of your labors for a later date. You could freeze them, can them, or even freeze-dry them... my favorite, however, is dehydration. I have a whole article I wrote about it here.
5. Spending Time In Nature
This one is simple and free. Just go spend time in nature. Whether you decide to sit cross-legged in the front yard or tackle a huge hike, you will benefit from spending time in nature.
Nature is full of healing vibrational energy we tend to ignore in our cement boxes and high rise palaces. To get the most from your time in nature, connect skin to soil. This is called grounding and it comes with a whole host of benefits.
6. Carpool
Carpooling seems like a given but so many people forget about the concept in their busy lives!
Now that you’ve been reminded, get with your friends and neighbors and see how you can implement this practice into your life. Maybe you can carpool to work, school, or extracurricular activities? You never know until you take the time to explore it in your own life.
7. Reducing Drive Time
This is similar to carpooling in that the goal is to reduce your carbon footprint via car emissions.
Make this a challenge for yourself. If you live out in the sticks like I do and the closest real town is 30 minutes away, this almost becomes necessity.
If you know you have to go to the dentist and you always head into town to grocery shop on Tuesdays, try and schedule your dentist appointment for a Tuesday!
8. Intentional Speaking
This is one of the easiest ways you can start to live more consciously.
Speak intentionally. That’s it. We’ve heard it a million times... “Think before you speak.”
Make a conscious effort to actually do just that. Before anything comes out of your mouth ask yourself if it is true, beneficial, and kind. Let that be the guide.
The less we speak, often the more we say... and the more we undoubtedly listen.
9. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
Before throwing anything away ask yourself if you can reuse it or recycle it.
Before purchasing anything, ask yourself if you can find something used that will do the trick.
10. Dial Back Consumption
This is sooo important for so many reasons. It will only benefit you! Stop buying things you do not need. Every single product on this planet has a footprint. Every purchase you make contributes to that. Furthermore, it clutters up your home, your mind, and costs you money.
Consume more consciously. Make an effort to only buy things you NEED rather than anything you WANT. Of course, you can still buy things you want and desire, but doing so with a more limited approach will make you appreciate those things that much more.
Tumblr media
I hope you found this post beneficial and if you’d like to see more on conscious living and the like… make sure you follow us on social media! We are on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest.

People who claim to be my friend and treat me badly. Twitter fights. Warm beer. Doing the dishes. Thistles. Feeling hopeless. That panic moment when I have no idea what I’m going to do for the rest of my life. How people still text and drive. Being broke. Not having a job.

THINGS I’M NOT GOOD AT… Making big decisions. Making myself motivated. Exercising/working out. Dealing with hot weather. Controlling my temper in traffic. Keeping a regular “schedule” for chores. Not worrying about silly things. Tolerating other peoples’ irritating behaviors. Having a positive outlook on things that might turn out badly. Keeping friends. Sleeping in. Training pets to mind me. Managing my time. Mathematics. Makeup or other “beauty” related skills. Dealing with other peoples’ children. Being “politically correct.” Ignoring insults and not letting stupid things get to me. Being content.

I’m not afraid to admit that I’m a geek. The last video game I played was Guitar Hero.
Something has been bothering me a lot lately.
A lot of thoughts occupy my mind at the same time. i don’t know if I’ll ever be satisfied with my body. Seth Rogen movies really aren’t as funny as people say they are.
I LOVE homemade pizza.
I’m currently looking for some people to start a band with.
My relationship with my dad is very strained.
I don’t understand why people have such a problem with kids. I’ve stood next to a famous landmark. I wish my bedroom had more space in it. A friend of mine has a job. I have never owned a Cabbage Patch Kids doll. I’ve used the library to read newspapers from very long ago.
I can remember when my family moved into this house. My mother’s favorite flower is pretty typical.
I enjoy watching rain falling on a lake.
Someone I know is wearing green today. English accents really aren’t that attractive to me. I love listening to music boxes.
My dog is inside right now.
I’ve taken a college/university course before.
When there’s nothing on, I’ll watch re-runs of Happy Days.
It’s difficult for me to really get into a book. I love to eat lemons.
I prefer small venues for concerts opposed to large ones. Warped Tour isn’t as good as it used to be back in the ’90s. Yesterday was a good day. I would buy CDs all the time if I could afford it. Guitar Hero is overrated.
I’ve been grocery shopping recently.
All Time Low’s new stuff sounds much more New Found Glory than Blink 182.
I usually see the Harry Potter films within the first week of their release.
I’m going to a birthday party sometime in the next month. I prefer sans-serif fonts (Arial, Tahoma) to serif fonts (Times New Roman, Georgia). I don’t think peer pressure affects people as much as they say it does.
I still have a collection of VHS tapes. I would love to own a grand piano.
We use the back door of the house more often than the front door.
I absolutely love the insanity incorporated in some of Poe’s work.
Outer Space fascinates me.
I usually look for meaning in songs. I haven’t charged my cellphone today. My street name is also the name of a city.
Someone I know has done a choreographed dance to Beyonce’s “Single Ladies”.
Video games can keep me occupied for quite a while. I like to say “FAIL!” whenever someone screws up.
I don’t like to change my layout that often. I can’t remember the last time I played with a frisbee.
Our fridge doesn’t have a freezer.
Someone new followed my blog today.
My plans are never written in stone; they always change. I love creative cake makers. Summer passes way too quickly. I’ve watched a gay film before.
I really don’t like Xanga that much.
Facebook is stupid. I enjoy making graphics.
Elvis Costello is amazing.
FUCK WMG!
I don’t like waiting until fall for TV shows to start up again.
People are very annoying.
The band I’m listening to right now starts with an S.
I know what déjà vu actually means in French.
My favourite bath towel has a picture of something on it.
I think I’d make a pretty good actor, if I wanted to pursue that area. For as long as I’ve been living, my family has never been without a pet.
I vote for award shows.
I love going to furniture stores. The 90s was my favourite decade for non-mainstream music. My favorite book is pretty popular. I know how to read a map.
I don’t like boring cereal.
Yes, I approve of gay marriage. A friend of mine hasn’t lost his/her virginity yet. I actually wouldn’t like to be royalty.
Most good things in life are either illegal, immoral or fattening.
The idea of living out of a van appeals to me.
When someone has to say “honestly” at the start of their sentence, they’re probably not being honest.
I’ve created my own username for Facebook.
I don’t like waiting for videos to load. Little kids can always make me happy. I can’t stand it when people say “FML” over stupid things. It really sucks when I want to go to the theater but nothing good is playing. Americans suck at remaking Japanese horror films.
Lolcats are stupid, but they do make me laugh.
I get by with a little help from my friends. I often feel like I have to prove myself. I don’t think there should be “age limits” on kids things. I have a lyric painted on my wall.

7 Blocks And Ways To Creative Thinking One Should Know
CREATIVE IMAGINATION
Creativity is significantly more than merely busy creativeness. In order to consciously imagine matters, to determine and listen to matters in your intellect, can be an equally crucial skill. It will not need to demand more ingenuity, although, can one all? Day-dreaming, as an instance, can be just a practice of creativeness. It might contain an elaborate dream environment, however, one high in all of the stuff that lots of men and women think of.
C-reactive creativeness, subsequently, must incorporate the capability not simply to assume matters, yet to assume things. It's seeing items others do not view, also inventing brand new thoughts. Thus how can you nurture this?
Creativity 101
Very first, workout your creativity that is basic. It is often as easy as believing in graphics longer listening or hearing music on the mind. Play minor"pictures" on the mind, till you may see this online command. This really is an easy procedure, however, for all those people who can not readily get it done, of course, it might consider plenty of exercises. Luckily, it isn't a disagreeable exercise.
The next portion of acquiring your creativity would be to become more imaginative on your own thinking and imagining. Start with focusing to own creativity. Our unconscious minds provide us with that which we listen to. Blow Off creative sides of one's own life, and also you're telling your subconscious they're insignificant. About the flip side, in the event, you see if you are creative, then your own subconscious mind begins feeding you longer ideas.
Distinct environments may additionally motivate your own creativity. Want to have more images on your life? Hike a mountain up by means of your associate. Does one really write? Consider sitting over roofing to compose. Desire new suggestions for the industry? Have a laptop towards the playground and then sit from the sea pond. Even a reversal of setting could possibly make your believing out-of-it's ruts.
It's possible to engage in games that perform your creativity. 1 game employs an approach known as"notion mix" By yourself or together with different gamers, you can unite arbitrary notions or matters in fresh methods, to observe who's got the optimal/optimally notion. A toaster and also a toaster, say, might generate a notion to get an indication that assesses the elements also corrects the material so ("are available from their warmth to get a cool drink," or even"are available from this rain and also heat up together with all our gourmet java ") .
Do not Await Deadly Creativity
C-reactive inspiration can hit any moment, however, it strikes far more usually whenever there is certainly a job rather than ready. Therefore, in the event that you'd like to think of creative creations, begin emotionally re-designing what you visit. Envision an improved bike, quicker email assistance, or even perhaps a chair. There is the narrative of the client in the lender who after cashing a cheque and turning to leave, returns and says: "Pardon me personally, I think you've left a mistake" The cashier reacts, "I'm sorry but you'll find nothing I could really do. You ought to have relied on it. The moment you drive away we have been not responsible." Whereupon the client responses: "Well, fine. Thank you for the excess $20."
Tip: whenever you're feeling the need to attract conclusions, simply wait before you've got all of the information.
2. See Things From Different Points Of Watch. A really open mind is keen to simply accept this, maybe not just do other folks possess others simply as legitimate points of view from theirs, but that these other things of opinion may be much more valid. A narrative has been told the Lebanese painter Pablo Picasso was traveling to get a railway over Spain once he experienced dialog using a prosperous businessman that was oblivious of contemporary art. As evidence that modern-day art didn't properly represent reality, '' he took out a photo of his wife from his wallet and said: "That is how my partner should look, not in certain silly stylized representation." Picasso shot the photo, studied it for a few seconds and inquired: "That can be your wife?" The company nodded. "She's very modest," observed Picasso wryly.

A lot of people will probably mispronounce it. This really is only because we are apt to feel in habitual ways and usually do not enjoy what doesn't suit.
Suggestion: Do not feel that, only because matters took place in a certain way after before, they will happen like that again.
5. Do not Believe to Be an Old Person, Consider as a Child. Study shows the number of synapses, or connections, in the brain is significantly more than a young child 2 than in a normal adult. The reason for it is that, even though a young child of 2 has no restricting planet perspective, as older people we all do. It really is like a sculptor who starts off with a huge block of clay, more than he needs, and then gradually gets rid of the clay because he molds his or her sculpture. When we use our mind as a youngster, taking everything without any ruling we are able to halt and reverse the brain aging process.
Hint: Don't Be Worried about the fantasy old. With the most suitable stimulus and also a passion for learning, you are able to actually improve the human brain's powers.

This informs how 6 blind men of Indostan go to see that an elephant and each takes to work out what it can be from touching it. One blind man strikes the tusk, another the trunk, another the tail, and so on. Of course, not being able to observe the whole elephant, they come to wildly different conclusions.
Suggestion: Try and maintain the major picture in front of you while looking at details. It's going to assist you set everything in its own appropriate position and circumstance.
7. Think For Yourself. Using our time to think remains frowned on in many establishments that trophy activity around creativity. Men and women who work in creativity-constrained associations are likely to assume the direction they are supposed to believe, or as an alternative fuel, or has always been the way to presume. It's like the blinkered believing that Hans Christian Anderson clarifies in his story of"The Emperor's New Clothes". Everyone within the land won't understand that the emperor is naked and was duped into thinking he is putting on a splendid costume because of his coronation. Only a young boy who has been unwell and not bashes to the cultural brainwashing can see the facts and yells out: "Look, everyone, the Emperor is wearing no clothes"
