We alredy know what's Chilchuck's worst nightmare. What if I told you that it was canon?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
His daughters have alredy been eaten. His wife was eaten too. His family are all dead. His worst nightmare has come truth. And he for sure feels like it's partially his fault, because it's the Winged Lion doing, yes, but who helped Laios get here? Chilchuck. And who's daughters and wife are now dead because of it? Chilchuck's. The suggestion of recreating them tells us that they've alredy been eaten. The way he says it makes it feel like it's too late. They're dead. Because of him. Of his actions. Of his job. The irony of it all is actually quite cruel. He makes a union so he can prevent bad things to happen to his race, to his family, and then, and he works at the union. And now, because of his job, he got them all killed.
He doesn't even know how his daughters are until way later, I don't even know if in the manga they send letters to him during the feast, because I know they don't go to said feast. So Chilchuck doesn't know if his girls are alright until, again, way later. We know they don't die because, well, there's this comic of them going to meet Laios, the new king. But if not for that, who could tell us they didn't die on the monster appearances? I can imagine that after the feast Chil went stright to check on them. Because he loves his daughters, and he cares for his wife. He sucks at communicating it, yes, but he does.
Tumblr media
He doesn't want to risk his family's safety. But he, unknowingly, unwillingly, indirectly, did. He got them eaten by those demons because he helped his friends achieve his goal. Because he cared about Falin and wanted her to be human again. Because he cared about Laios and didn'twanted to see him loose his sister. Because he cared about Marcille, Senshi and Itsuzumi. He cares so much about everyone and wants to help everyone (in his own way), that he doesn't think that the result would, inevitably so, be the worst outcome for him. The one in wich work and private life get mixed together. His job as a member of Laios's party ended dragging his family in, despite his best efforts. His job ended up, not only endangering the whole word with demons, but his family. His four precious girls. It ended up almost killing them (probably it killed them for some time because getting eaten by those demons works wierd).
Worst part? He didn't have the time to be mourn over what he 100% sure thought was the complete loss of his family. He was in a hurry to survive himself, so he pushed those sad feelings and tried his best to help who he had left. Later on he finds out that the demons spitted out people. And he seems shocked with some kind of surprised relief.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He looks how everyone that got eaten was alive. And he can't quite either believe it nor understand it. He is really confused. So they didn't die? Are my daughters ok? Is my wife ok? Did everybody survived? Are they alive? He dares to hope that they're all ok and pulls into a box his feelings again, saving it up for when he has the time to be overwhelmed about this all. He has a feast, trying not to worry, but worried sick. Then he goes home and checks on them.
Give this poor man a break and a beer...

role-swapped: sokka, and either fire sibling
made an account solely for this, but i feel like sokka role swapped with either sibling (either zuko or azula) makes some sort of sense. call me crazy (if anyone is even seeing this to call me crazy at all, then hello) all you want, but i don't know, i feel like it makes sense. though to be fair, i do really um, overanalyze things and might just be making my explanation sound really ooc and weird and too 'he's me i'm giving him my issues'. not sure. just here to be overdramatic i guess. sorta relate to all three of these characters so. take my 'it makes sense!!!11111!!11!!' with a grain of salt. also scared i got the characters all wrong. so. yeah
firstly, the similarities.
sokka and zuko:
sokka and zuko are both insecure fellas who want to prove to someone that they are honorable and worthy people; zuko wants to show his father and his nation that he is a worthy prince that should return to his rightful place for the throne, and sokka wants to show his father and his tribe that he is a strong and manly warrior, that he can protect katara and the tribe. they both have something to prove, something they want to become. they are both overshadowed by their prodigious sister and they both find themselves feeling lesser by it, just in different ways. sokka doesn't feel as useful as he wants to be and zuko feels like a failure compared to azula. they both don't quite like the fact that their skills aren't the best they believe they could be. the two of them both solve an issue between themselves: sokka learns how to overcome obstacles without bending, and zuko learns how to follow his own destiny and stand up for himself. they both have lost their mother, they both have distant fathers (except hakoda isn't distant because he wants to be, nor is he abusive, but that doesn't mean he isn't distant), and these similarities made me write this whole thing. it would be interesting to see how much would change and how much would stay the same, what life would be like for zuko and what life would be like for sokka. would their personalities swap as well? sokka's would change drastically, but i think zuko's would not change extremely.
sokka and azula:
don't get me wrong, sokka is insecure and everything, but he's also much like azula, at least, in my eyes he is. azula and sokka are both crippling perfectionists, excelling at a specific thing: azula's firebending and battle (plus regular) intelligence, and sokka's skillful planning, his own battle (and regular) intelligence, and inventing. they both see their father in a bright light, they both were heavily affected by his actions and again, they both lost their mother. due to their need to succeed and win, they both become irrational and heavily emotional when they do not. sokka blames himself for the loss during the eclipse raid, and azula has a mental breakdown when she loses against katara and zuko during sozin's comet. when they've been defeated, they break down in one way or another. and back to the first sentence, azula is insecure too. she feels unlovable and has major trust issues, and more that if i said, would make this already somewhat long thing even longer.
now: onto what i feel like the characters would be with roles swapped. zuko role-swapped with sokka: an insecure sixteen-year-old, angsty boy with a crippling need to be useful for his family. he misses his father dearly and wishes he could have spent more time with his mother, whose face he can't even remember. he looks like a trash bender compared to his younger sister, azula, who has blue fire and a natural, raw talent. he wants to be a warrior like his father, fighting against the monstrous water tribes. he's insecure about his unimpressive bending but learns to improve his skill and find new techniques instead of letting his self-hatred get the best of him. he helps aang, the avatar, defeat the water tribes, and while on adventures with the gaang, he learns to accept himself. he becomes more than just a planning, brooding, awkward guy; instead of making himself feel worse with his less-than-average firebending skills, he focuses more on using double swords, becoming very good at it. he rarely uses his firebending because of it, realizing that he doesn't need to be a good bender to be a good fighter/warrior. sokka role-swapped with zuko: a self-hating fifteen-year-old who misses his tribe and misses his honor. he is worthless, weak, and a failure, horrible at waterbending, unlike his gifted sister, katara. his father gave his left eye frost burn, and he is partially deaf and blind on the left side of his face due to it, but he deserved it; he spoke out of line, disrespected his elder, disrespected Ice (or water) Lord Hakoda, his own dad. ever since he was twelve, he has been looking for the missing avatar to bring back to his tribe to make his father (and tribe) proud and love him again. he travels with his honorary uncle bato, who helps him eventually turn a new leaf. bato helps him learn new skills and new techniques that help him improve his waterbending quickly, being patient with him and supporting him through his darkest moments. he realizes that what he is doing is wrong and he abandons his home and his father to help aang, the avatar whom he had been hunting constantly, learn waterbending. he learns from his mistakes and successfully becomes the Ice / Water Lord, helping aang defeat his father and simultaneously helping azula defeat his maniacal sister, katara. —
sokka role-swapped with azula: either thirteen or fifteen-year-old.(katara as zuko is aged up if sokka is fifteen, sokka as azula is aged down if he is thirteen) he is an extremely impressive waterbender, gifted and prodigious, unlike his poor older sister, katara. if he wants something he gets it, and he will go at any length to win, to defeat, to conquer. he, much like his talented father, never fail, they never fail, and they never will! he doesn't need anyone's trust or love; spirits, he doesn't need anyone. sokka'll use peoples' fear of him to get whatever the hell he wants, no matter what. his mother was right; he is a monster, and he- he takes pride in it! after his so-called 'friends' betrayed him, one for looooove and the other for, well, the one in love. ((can you tell i have no clue who to make his friends? maybe suki and yue?)) he saw her once again, taunting him while he grew furious with his stupid long hair. (stupid wolftails.) he messes his hair up, messes up once again, and throws the scissors in the mirror to try and make his dead, naive, stupid mom go away. but that's not all: even though he's perfect, even though he's supposed to be, he fucks it up. his father was supposed to be the Ocean King, and sokka himself was supposed to be the new Ice/Water Lord, but of course, his stupid sister and her stupid fire-bending friend got in the way of the water tribe's supposed-to-be success and defeated him, humiliated him. and that was the straw that broke the camel's back. he breaks down, crying nonstop and feeling utterly defeated.
azula role-swapped with sokka: she's the genius. she's the one who does the planning, it's azula. not zuko with his amazing firebending, not aang with his... dumb avatar-ness, not toph with her scary earthbending; no, it's sixteen-year old ((aged up to be oldest in the gaang like sokka is, but she can still be fourteen if u want i don't know.)) azula, the bad bender. agni, she's basically a non-bender anyway, with the way her fire can barely light a torch. but her uselessness doesn't stop her from trying to be perfect, of course it doesn't! she's useful, she knows it, she just has to figure out how. she can't strive to be anything less, not when she wants to protect her brother and her friends. not when she wants to be the next chief of the fire nation when this is all over. instead of wallowing in her own self-hatred, she decides to try something new; she decides to try bows and arrows. and agni, she's good. she decides that she doesn't need to be a master bender like zuko, aang, and toph are, because she's a master in her own way and doesn't need her firebending to be useful. she can still protect her friends and brother without relying on her bending. and while azula sometimes wishes that she were as talented as zuko is with firebending, she also understands that she is just as talented as he is without firebending, but with her bow. she accepts herself and her flaws.
while i think zuko and sokka's role-swap would make sense and works better, i also think that azula and sokka's role-swap works too, just a little... reachy. i guess. i don't know!!!! i just. sorta been thinking about this for too long. ahaaa i don't think this is gonna be read at ALLLL so hey guys! hey fruity gang! #awesome!
might post art idk? blegh ... SORRY TO WHOEVER READS THIS LIKE THIS IS SERIOUSLY DEF OOC IDK.

How well does moira get along with the rest of talon?
Her relationships within Talon are pretty dubious.
To start, she does not get along with Doomfist. I don't think he really cares much for her, and deems her a replaceable asset. He just uses her to have more power over Oasis, and realistically he could have just about anybody in a minister position and he'd be happy. He doesn't care for her work, and actively gives her tasks that pushes her away from doing her own work, like forcing her to work on Widowmaker, Sigma, ect. She knows how little she means to his overall operation and holds a lot of animosity towards him. However, without Talon, she has nothing. Talon is basically her last shot of leaving a mark on the world and she can't throw that away, so she pretends to play nice.
Reaper is an interesting story because they have so much history together. He got her a job at Overwatch, Blackwatch, and Talon, but they were definitely closest in Blackwatch. I kind of imagine during that time Gabe saw her as an annoying older sister, who acted like she knew more than him and bickered with him on everything, but was still his older sister, yknow? He loved her, she loved him. He's one of the only people who saw her walls come down, saw the real Moira. Lots of nights spent at her lab, drinking and talking about nothing and everything. They've grown apart of lot since then. Not because of anything Moira did to him, but more so just because Gabe has changed a lot. He's too angry, in too much pain. Moira has changed too. I think she was actually kinda happy in Blackwatch, even if she didn't outwardly show it, or even knew it herself, but know she's just sad? Accepted her fate as one of talons pawns. Neither of them can go back to drinking in her lab. They have moments together, little blips of what it used to be, but they both know it'll never be the same, that it can't be.
Sombra kinda forces herself into Moira's business. I like their chemistry a lot. Sombra has dirt on Moira but Moira has lost all sense of shame, lost to her own arrogance of self image, so Sombra holds no power over her. They have an inkling of what Gabe used to have with Moira, a funny little friendship. Moira never tells Sombra anything personal, she doesn't let her walls come down anymore, but she'll genuinely smile and crack jokes and laugh with her, because she's practically the only beacon of positively within Talon. Also, Moira's high and mighty persona doesn't work on Sombra, and Moira likes women who challenge her like that. They have a kind of will they wont they energy to them. I think Moira is sexually interested in Sombra for sure, and I think that feeling is palpable, and I think Sombra likes to play with that feeling quite a bit.
Honestly? I don't think she has much of a relationship with Sigma at all. Probably hardly sees him as a person, more so a nuisance she has to baby sit. Which is sad, because I think Sigma likes her company a lot. She is stern with him but she doesn't ever yell at him or anything, and he can't really tell that she is mad at him, so he thinks him and Moira are friends, someone of similar intellect to him that he can have scientific conversations with, and is also someone who helps him manage his hallucinations and memory loss.
I've spoken about her relationship with Widow before so I won't get into it again.
For fairness I'll add Ramattra too, but I'm only doing it because I think they could potentially have a funny relationship because I genuinely think they would be so fucking awkward. They are both intellectuals with a strong sense of their morals and they could have some great conversations but they just have no idea how to talk to each other. They do small talk and then it withers away into nothing. It would mostly be Ramattra wishing to speak with Moira but he has no idea how to engage in a conversation with her, and because of it they never form a relationship.
And then for my final act. Maximillian has a crush on her but is also horrified of her. He has no idea how to talk to her and she does this funny thing that she does to omnics where she just kind of stares at them (not in any sort of hateful way, mind you) and it freaks him out but also kind of turns him on. He resorts to very awkward stilted talks with her, which he hopes to end within a sentence or two so he can promptly walk away from the situation.

Nitpick for Day #25
The fact that Jaune's sisters aren't Hunters is a big loss for the writers and it makes some of the early dialogue in RWBY feel weird.
Iirc, in like V1, Jaune says that his whole family have been Hunters. It's already weird enough that he supposedly comes from a long line of Hunters but he doesn't know what aura is and he has no real ability to fight and nobody acts like they've heard his family name 'Arc' before in their lives. That's already weird and badly done, because if Jaune's family is populated by Hunters, then the teachers (Oz implied to have been a teacher during STRQ era and Port having been a TA during STRQ era especially) should have probably known his parents? Oz should've known several generations of his family actually? Ruby who idolizes the Hunters should have some knowledge of them? Jaune should know more about Hunters and the Grimm and fighting himself just even by pure happenstance!
But also when I say "my whole family" I usually mean my sisters???? If I say "my family is full of media critics lol" I'm very much so including my sisters within that summary. If I say "my family were all raised in church" I don't just mean my parents and grandparents, I mean my sisters too. If it doesn't apply to my sisters, I'm not gonna say "my family" I'm just gonna say "my parents and grandparents and great grandparents." There was at least an implication that Jaune's whole family including any siblings were Hunters. And yet it doesn't seem like his sisters were Hunters at all. Why? Not one of them went into the family business? Not one of them went to Haven or Beacon? And before anyone says "well some of them probably did off screen" please do not, off screen means nothing, and there's zero indication that I remember that any of Jaune's sisters were hunters. But it's so easy to slip into the show in a way that makes sense!
"Your name is Arc?" Weiss asks when she and Jaune are first introduced. "As in Topaz Arc, who just dispatched the Goliath Grimm rampaging near Argus?" Jaune, with a sigh "Uh, yeah, good ol' big sis... Anyway-"
"Didn't your sister win the Vytal Tournament?" Ruby asks Jaune. "Don't remind me," Jaune says back. "I have a lot to live up to."
"Where are your sisters in all this?" Ren asks as they're on the road in V4. "Oh well, most of them are in Vale," Jaune would respond. "They're still helping with the repairs and protecting citizens, you know, like the heroes they are." "And they just let you leave?" Nora asks. "No way. Let me tell you, running away from five overprotective big sisters who are trained to hunt is no small feat!"
Qrow, when they're in Argus with Safron and Terra: "Hey, aren't you the one that took down that underground crime ring in (city name) a few years back?" Safron: "Well, that was a long time ago. I did the whole Huntress thing for a bit, but it wasn't for me. I met Terra and we wanted to settle down. And lucky we did, since it means I could be there to help this little guy." *Ruffles Jaune's hair.* Jaune: "Saff! This is a pit stop, I'm on the field too, you know." Safron: "Fine, fine. I worry about you out there with none of us to protect you." Jaune: "I have Nora for that."
It feels like it should be easy!

Crashing Into Goodbye - A hypothetical Daria episode Part 1
I've had this concept stuck in my head for a few days now and I wrote a lengthy bit of dialog to go with it, but I have other stuff I need to work on so I wanted to jot it all down and post it to stop hyperfixating on it.
We all know that things never particularly got that bad between Daria and Quinn. The fifth season even addressed the fact that Quinn's terrified of her relationship with Daria turning out to be like the one their mom has with her sisters.
But I wondered about the idea of Daria and Quinn having a legitimately bad fight. Like the worst they've ever had. This would be around Season 2 or 3, when Quinn was only just beginning to gain some more sympathy points from the narrative.
Crashing Into Goodbye features Daria being genuinely distressed when the Morgendorffers learn that Helen's sister Amy has been in a traffic accident. Her injuries aren't severe, but Amy does get a bit banged up and has to stay at a hospital for a few days.
Daria's really shaken up by this. The idea of losing Amy terrifies her on a level she's never felt before, as she often feels like Amy's the one person who in the family who truly gets her. We know that's not true, but Helen and Jake don't handle the situation that well. Helen gets stressed out when she has to deal with both Rita and their mother showing up because of Amy's situation, and it once again becomes yet another Barksdale beat down about how the sisters were raised. Jake is so terrified of Helen when she's involved with her sisters that he opts out like he did in Season 5, especially because of what being near her mother brings out in Helen. And since Quinn's never particularly been close to Amy she's not really focused and brushes Daria off as being her usual "weird" self when she actually tries to talk to Quinn. As such, this leaves Daria feeling even more isolated from her family than usual as she thinks she's the only one who actually gives a shit about Amy. This puts her on edge both because of how she views her family treating her beloved aunt, and how they're treating her. She knows she's similar to Amy, so she can't help project and it eats her up.
The only person who knows how Daria's really feeling is Jane, but even Jane is shocked at how emotional Daria's getting. She's never seen her be this vulnerable. The stress becomes too much for Daria during Mr. O'Neill's class and she leaves to be physically ill in the bathroom. Jane explains to O'Neill what Daria's dealing with; she doesn't want to because of how O'Neill is but she's kind of at a loss right now. He gives her permission to bring Daria home.
Unfortunately, Daria's on her way out after the bell rings, which results in Quinn and the Fashion Club seeing her sister's cousin's leaving early and gets mad she can't leave too. Daria finally snaps as Quinn tries to pretend she now cares about their aunt just to ditch school, and it escalates to the worst fight they'll ever have. And almost everyone sees it.
Quinn: Hey, why do you get to leave school early that’s not fair! I’m upset about Aunt Amy too!
Daria: What?
Mr. O’Neill: Is that true, Quinn?
Quinn: Oh yeah, I’ve been dealing with a lot of mental anguish and distress over the whole thing, right girls?
Stacy: Um…
Tiffany: Uh…
Quinn: RIGHT?
Stacy: Oh, right!
Tiffany: So much anguish…
Sandi: Definitely. In fact Quinn, you’ve been so broken up about your dear aunt’s misfortune I’d say you might need some time off from the Fashion Club to get your emotions in order. Maybe even permanent time off.
Mr. O’Neill: Oh dear!
Jane: Oh, that is low even for you Quinn.
Quinn (glaring at Sandi): I wouldn’t say I’m that-
Daria: For Christ’s sake, stop it Quinn!
Mr. O’Neill: Daria!
Jane: Whoa.
Daria: You’re really gonna use Aunt Amy’s accident just to weasel out of going to school?
Quinn: Isn’t that what you’re doing?
Daria: Can’t you act like a human being, for once in your life?
Quinn: Oh, like you know anything about being human! You expect me to believe YOU care about her? You don’t care about anyone! You’re too smart for that.
[As Quinn’s voice gets louder, more people start amassing around her and Daria, including some teachers from nearby rooms. Some seem intrigued by the arguing, others confused, but most are concerned. Among the Fashion Club, Stacy looks worried as she’s never seen Quinn this openly nasty. Tiffany’s expression remains neutral, while Sandi’s expression is one of amusement. Either at Daria being called out or Quinn showing an ugly side to herself, it’s not clear]
Quinn: All you care about are your weird books and foreign movies and being a, a, a brain who thinks just because she makes jokes no one understands and gets straight As and isn’t interested in what’s new and exciting and popular that makes her better than the rest of us! We get it, you're too smart to go on dates. You're too mature to wear cute clothes. You're too sarcastic to ever be happy about anything! Get a life already Daria, it's pathetic!
Mr. O’Neill: Now girls, let’s all take a deep breath-
Daria: I'm pathetic?! I don’t care about anyone?! This coming from a girl willing to exploit every boy who breathes in her direction to get free stuff yet somehow treats the basic concept of simple gratitude as if it were a malignant disease. Does this sound familiar? “Oh gee Adam, I wish I COULD go out with you, but I just CAN'T see myself dating a boy whose fingertips are smaller than mine it’s IN the Fashion Club bylaws. Thanks for the plane tickets though I'll let you know what Maui's like!”
Jane (to the crowd): For the record, that actually happened. She just got the photos back.
[The Three Js exchange shocked expressions, wondering who Quinn’s been exploiting behind their backs]
Daria: You engage in petty power struggles between your equally shallow and airheaded rival (Sandi: HEY!) so you can spend day after day with the same two girls, having the same conversations debating on what material your socks should be made from and why they don't have a diet version of diet soda.
Stacy: I knew that was a dumb topic when I said it, I knew it!
Tiffany: There, there...
Daria: At least I'm not the one who’s spent all our lives telling people I was adopted in case you need new bone marrow. You're such a coward you'd rather strip naked on the football field than have the guts to admit we’re sisters in public!
Quinn: DARIA!
Sandi [feigning surprise, eyes wide in delight as if this was the best day of her life]: Oh my gosh I can’t believe it. Stacy, Tiffany, can you believe what that weird girl said?
Stacy: Uh…
Tiffany: Saaaaid?
[Ms. Barch and Mr. DeMartino decide to try and break the fight up]
Ms. Barch: It’s a sad day when sisters are at each other’s throats in a male dominated, patriarchal society. Come on, let's break it up.
Mr. DeMartino: Okay girls, let’s cut this little daytime SOAP OPERA before the next BELL!
Ms. Barch: You get your filthy, greasy paws off her you disgusting excuse for a-!
Daria and Quinn: STAY OUT OF THIS!
[DeMartino AND Barch quickly back off, a rare moment where the two have ever been on the same page looking equally scared of Daria and Quinn's mood. The Three Js quickly try to feign ignorance in order to make Quinn happy.]
Brittany: Wait, did Quinn really not know Daria's her sister?
Jodie: No Brittany, Quinn's just lying.
Brittany: Ohhh like how I tell my brother our dad, like, found him under a bridge whenever one of our pets goes missing in his room? At least I don't THINK he found Brian under a bridge.
Jodie: Brittany I don't think we have time today to unpack your family's issues alongside Daria's. Let's save that for next week.
Brittany: Okay!
Jamie: Quinn doesn't have a sister guys that's her cousin!
Joey: No way that's Quinn's nanny!
Jeffy: Stupid she's not Quinn's nanny she's her live-in maid!
Jodie: Are they for real?
Mack: You see what I deal with when Kevin’s not around?
Brittany: Wow, I can’t believe my Kevvy ever wanted to date someone as nasty as Daria’s sister!
Quinn: She’s kidding! She’s not actually my sister. My cousin’s just delusional with grief!
Daria: Yes, SISTER! [Quinn winces] Her sister who’s tired of putting up with her crap and everyone else’s crap!
Mack: Uh-oh.
Jodie: Oh man.
Brittany: Eep!
Upchuck: Feisty!
Andrea: It's always the quiet ones.
Jane (growing more worried by the second): Daria, please. Forget about Quinn and let’s just-Daria!
[As the arguing gets worse, we zoom in on Daria and Quinn. As it happens, we notice the expressions on those around them are quickly looking identically concerned and worried until we can only see the two sisters. We see Jodie’s angled through the crowd and is next to Jane, exchanging worried expressions]
Daria: You wanna know why I care about what happens to Aunt Amy? Because I feel like I’m the only one who does care! Mom was at least willing to pretend she cared, but then Rita and Grandma showed up to put a stop to that. And Dad’s too scared to get involved in case Mom rips his head off, so he’s been utterly useless but what else is new?!
Jodie: Daria you don’t mean that.
Jane: I don't think she's ever meant it more than she does right now, unfortunately.
Daria: Because Aunt Amy’s the only person who ever consistently made me feel like I have a family that cares about me as a person! Who’s not constantly getting on my case about what I wear or what I like to do-
Quinn: Have you ANY IDEA how many snide remarks I’ve heard from you over the years-
Daria: And maybe, just maybe, I have a future worth looking forward to that’s not going to be defined by the shit I have to deal with from people like you!
[Jane and Jodie are now trying to pull Daria away from Quinn, while Stacy and Tiffany have broken from Sandi to try and pry Quinn back.]
Quinn: Well then go live with Aunt Amy if you think she’s so great! You should’ve been living with her all along because you’re both a couple of weirdo geek losers! Half the time I think Mom and Dad bought you from her, but I doubt anyone would’ve ever spent money to have a baby like you!
Daria: You mean an unpopular baby?
Quinn: I mean A FREAK!
Jane: Quinn shut the hell up!
Jodie: Quinn that’s enough!
Stacy: Stop fighting you two!
Tiffany (more animated than usual): Stop it, Quinn!
Quinn: So go live with Aunt Amy and stop ruining my life like you always do! Then we’d all be a lot happier if you were gone!
Daria: Oh anything to make you happy, SIS!
[There’s enough venom in the word to take down a full grown elephant. That last “sis” is the straw to break Quinn’s back to the point she grabs Daria and pushes her against the lockers]
Quinn: AND THE NEXT TIME SHE PLOWS HER CAR INTO A TREE I HOPE YOU’RE IN FRONT OF IT!
GASP!
[The silence that follows this outburst is smothering. Quinn’s clamped her hands over her mouth, eyes wide in shock. Daria’s had the wind taken right out of her. Her glasses have fallen off. She puts a hand to her head before looking at her sister.]
Daria: …
Quinn: I, I didn’t. Daria I would never-
Sandi (subdued as Tiffany and Stacy back up next to her again): Did she just say what I think she said?
Tiffany: Oh, Quinn…
Stacy (lip trembling): Quinn how could you?
[From Daria’s POV, we see Quinn looking horrified as she realizes what she just said while those standing around Quinn – THE FASHION CLUB, THE THREE JS, BROOKE, MR. DEMARTINO AND MS. BARCH, AND SEVERAL OTHER BACKGROUND STUDENTS – are all giving Daria sympathetic and shocked expressions. Tiffany’s shaking her head in disappointment. Stacy’s crying, the way a child cries seeing their parents arguing. You know a situation is messed up when even SANDI feels bad for someone.]
[From Quinn’s POV, Daria is looking more emotionally exhausted and hurt than we’ve ever seen her look before. While JANE, JODIE, MACK, BRITTANY, ANDREA, UPCHUCK, MR. O’NEILL AND MRS. BENNETT, are giving Quinn looks that range from disgusted, shocked, and enraged. Even Mr. O’Neill is frowning in Quinn’s direction. Jane looks like she wants to tear Quinn’s throat out. Without a word, Daria turns around and starts running through the crowd behind her.]
Jodie: Daria!
Jane: Daria wait!
[Jodie and Jane follow after Daria, with Jane stopping to give Quinn one last withering glare before departing after her friend.]
Ms. Li: What on Earth is with all this shouting?! Why are you people congregating in the halls like this? Unofficial assemblies are a violation of school policy! And did I see Daria Morgendorffer leaving school property before dismissal?
Mr. DeMartino: I be-LIEVE you should ask the younger Miss Morgendorffer about why we're CONGREGATING. SHE can tell you all about the BLISTERING DISCUSSION she just had with her SIS-TER. ISN’T THAT RIGHT, QUINN?!
Ms. Barch: Yes Quinn, inform Ms. Li about why your SISTER left school.
Quinn: I...
Ms. Li: Miss Morgendorffer, I'm waiting.
Kevin (oblivious as always): Yo Mack Daddy, I was in the boys room when I heard a bunch of shouting, what’d I miss?
Mack: Daria’s sister pushed her against the lockers and told her to get killed.
Ms. Li: What?!
Kevin: Whoa! That's not cool, Quinn.
Quinn: I didn’t say that!
Andrea: You just heavily implied it.
Quinn: I didn’t mean to!
Upchuck: Save it Toots, the dumb act's not gonna help you this time.
Brittany: Yeah! Like, what do you think we are? Stupid?
[Tears running down her cheeks, Quinn runs away down the opposite end of the hallway. No one follows after her.]

Hi! I hope you’re doing well. This spring most of my peers are graduating college and the fact that I have yet to start (or even decide if I want to go) has me feeling like a total failure. I could really use recommendations for your favorite lighthearted/fun romances. Thank you!
I'm sorry that you're feeling down. Honestly, take this time to think really hard about it and don't conform to what seems "right", do what's right for YOU. College was always a given to me--I "had" to go, even though it was basically entirely up to me to pay for it... and I did, with some scholarships but mostly loans, and now I'm in massive debt with a degree I didn't really think through (however much I loved what I studied) because I was 17 and had basically zero guidance and felt obligated to begin college ASAP.
I also had a total mental breakdown during my first semester and had to take over a year off before I was ready to go back. I still graduated, and though I have regrets about not thinking through the money and major stuff, I did genuinely enjoy my college experience after I went back. I think I would've enjoyed it even more if I'd taken time to decompress and figure my brain out. So sincerely, no pressure, no rush, in terms of timelines you can do this at any point. One of my favorite classmates was in her 60s.
ANYWAY. Soapbox over, I've got you!
Generally, I would recommend Tessa Dare if you want a fun historical romance. Some of her books do deal with heavier topics--from what I recall, The Wallflower Wager touched on childhood sexual abuse, and that's the heaviest one I think I've read from her. But if you want to try her out, read A Week to be Wicked--it's fun, it's a road trip, the hero makes an amazing joke about the heroine being a sword swallower... And they're really hot. I also love When A Scot Ties the Knot, Any Duchess Will Do (though heads up, this one does discuss the loss of a child) and basically the entire Spindle Cove series.
Talia Hibbert has some really fun contemporaries. Her Brown Sisters trilogy is great; usually they touch on serious topics like mental health and chronic pain while not getting TOO heavy. Act Your Age, Eve Brown may be my favorite--it's light enemies to lovers and both leads are on the autism spectrum. There's a scene where he finds her dildo that's both hilarious and hot?
Alexis Hall is HYSTERICAL, and I would super recommend Something Fabulous and Something Spectacular, his historical romcoms. The first one is a m/m road trip romance where this stuffy duke proposes to a woman horribly, she goes on the run, and he has to track her down with her sparkly fun twin brother... who he falls for... Something Spectacular has a nonbinary genderfluid lead try to help her ex get the attention of a famous castrato soprano, only for the soprano to notice her rather than her friend. These books are literally laugh out loud reads for me.
Heated Rivalry and The Long Game by Rachel Reid. M/m hockey romances, light enemies to lovers--these two dudes are the biggest hockey rivals in the league, but they've been secretly hooking up since their rookie season. Hot, romantic, emotional. It does deal with themes of homophobia and internalized homophobia and there is some "can we make this work" angst but it's really such a lovely and loving duet. It makes me SO happy, and they're two of my top "pick me up" reads.
Annika Martin's The Billionaire's Wake-Up-Call-Girl!! Such a fun contemporary romcom, but it's also sexy? The heroine is supposed to set up wake up calls for the billionaire CEO of her company, but she fucks it up and can't afford to lose her job, so she does them herself and he really likes her caustic attitude and doesn't realize she's an employee, so they get... dirty? It's so frothy and fun. The next book in the series, Most Eligible Billionaire, is also fun and light, but the heroine does have a backstory involving attempted SA that's heavier, so heads up. Aside from that, it is ridiculously funny.
A Witch's Guide to Fake Dating a Demon by Sarah Hawley if you're open to paranormal. A witch who's supposed to have untold power accidentally summons a demon who needs to collect her soul, and they enter into a stalemate that does involve fake dating. Hot, also?
The Queer Principles of Kit Webb by Cat Sebastian. Local lord needs to steal a special book from his evil dad, so he tries to hire a retired highwayman who's like "fuck no but I'll teach you how to do it". They fall in love. So funny but also emotional; Kit (the highwayman) is desperately besotted while Percy (the lord) is like "UGH I CANNOT HANDLE YOUR EMOTIONS".
Georgie, All Along by Kate Clayborn is a great "I am stuck in life and need to figure shit out" book about a 28-year-old who returns to her small town after losing her job as a celebrity's personal assistant. She uncovers this notebook where she wrote all her hopes and dreams as a young teen, and begins to try to live them out with the help of the older brother of the guy she had a crush on (and of course, he's a former bad boy).
Praise by Sara Cate, if you want an adventurous contemporary that has some angst but nothing super heavy? The heroine is 21 and recently broke up with her cheating boyfriend. She goes to his estranged dad's place to pick up the rental deposit the bf owes her, and the dad.... who is 40... thinks she's one of the girl's sent to audition for the role of his professional (not inherently sexual) submissive? And she thinks being told to kneel on the floor is just something he's doing for a bit so she does it and LIKES IT? And he realizes who she is and is like FUCK but feels bad so he hires her as his (platonic, super professional) secretary? And he is the partial owner of a sex club?
Never have I read a book where I felt more "God I wish that was me", I won't lie. The whole series is very good, explores some deeper topics but isn't SUPER heavy.
The Nanny by Lana Ferguson is a contemporary about a woman who takes this nanny gig working for a hot single dad chef... only to find out that he used to be a huge fan of her on OnlyFans. Hot and light and I liked it A LOT.
I also would sooo recommend India Holton's Dangerous Damsels trilogy. I love them all, they're hilarious and romantic and have a great world of flying pirates and witches and spies.

Rusty Quill Gaming - Japan Arc
So, I got to the Japan arc in RQG, and here's my take.
First off, Sasha and Grizzop's fates were both heartbreaking and hopeful. Grizzop died as a paladin, protecting Sasha and going out the way he probably wanted. With Sasha, she ended up living a long life and she did a lot of good within that life.
Secondly, Zolf's back. Honestly, I could have cheered when that happened. Even with his temper, it's good to have him back as a part of the team. I love seeing the change in the dynamic between him and Hamid and their vastly different leadership styles, on top of the differences that were already between them.
I know someone said that his reunion with the L.O.L.O.M.G. would have been different if Sasha had been there, and I can believe it. During his argument with Hamid, his grief was just so raw that it's easy to understand why. My personal theory is that he loved Sasha. Not romantically, but there was a kind of an older brother-younger sister sort of vibe there, and he definitely missed her.
At this point it is blindingly clear that Zolf does not like himself much, and that he has been through a lot of shit in the eighteen months since he left the party and none of it has helped. I know Azu said she thought he was heading for a breakdown, and it will be interesting to see what happens with that. I have a feeling it's going to be at least as bad as the last one was.
On the subject of Azu, she is a treasure. She always comes from a place of love, and even though half the party are literal strangers to her, she still makes it clear that she cares about them. Also, I love her relationship with Hamid. It's just very sweet the way they seemed to adopt each other, and I've noticed that when something bad happens, if it's possible, they inevitably end up holding hands.
On the subject of Cel, it's kind of neat that they're a half-elf. Until we met Eldarion, there hadn't been any elves in the game and I had been curious about how they'd be portrayed. The fact that they're American is particularly interesting, since they're the only one who doesn't have a connection to the European power structures (and before you remind me, yes, I know that Azu is from Kenya, but she is a paladin of Aphrodite). On a separate note, Lydia Nicholas's American accent is not great, but considering that Cel has lived all over the place and probably been gone from America for a long time, it makes sense that they've started to lose their accent.
With Hamid, it's interesting to see just how far he's come from when we first met him. We've seen him go from being the playboy with no real idea what he wants to do with his life to the leader of a mercenary group that's trying to save the world. We've seen him trying to keep his people alive and together while dealing with the losses of a friend and his sister, the aftermath of his expulsion from uni, and with his family and his heritage. He's grown up a lot, and it will be interesting to see what happens to him.
On the subject of one of our favorite NPCs, Wilde is broken. He's gone from being the flirtatious pain in the mercenaries' collective ass to a shadow of himself. He's obviously lost enough friends and loved ones that he's reluctant to trust anyone. The only good thing that can probably be said about his life at this point is that he's at least getting a good night's sleep without needing the magical equivalent of a Faraday cage.
Coming back around to Sasha, I liked how they ended her story. She survived the fall of Rome, adopted half a dozen kids and passed on her skills as a rogue. And I don't know if anyone else picked up on it, but she also founded the temple of Aphrodite. When Wilde told them about the letter she'd left, he said it was under the seal of the temple's founder, Ava Iskanda. Sasha said in her letter that her grandkids called her Ava, and Iskanda is, I think, the feminine version of the name Iskander, or Alexander. And Sasha is a nickname for Alexandra. Essentially, the name of the founder of the temple of Aphrodite translated to Grandma Sasha.
And, if you remember, WIlde did say that he thought that Sasha was technically his boss. I have to wonder when/if anyone else is going to put it together.
At this point, I can't wait to see what happens next, and I already know it's going to be a wild ride.

The blorbo meme for your own OCs? (ones for specific fandom worlds or otherwise)
Ojhfhsdbhjg I will gladly!
(Note: There are a mixture of Steven Universe and Breath of the Wild OCs in here. I'll add photos after OC mentions so y'all have an idea of who I'm talking about. Most of these will be WIPs/sketches. Tbh some I've probably barely talked about on this blog, but let's go XD)
“Blorbo” Character Ask Meme
____ My blorbo (favorite character, character I think about the most):
At the moment? Aryll Haywood, my version of Link's sister. Of all my OCs, she invades my thoughts the most, and is- quite honestly- probably the most fleshed out of all of the characters I've ever created. I think it helps that the very essence of her setting gave her an obvious life conflict to bounce off of... aka the loss of her entire town and family to the Calamity. There's a lot of juice to play with there, in imagining how an 11 year old girl would try (and fail) to cope with that. I can't wait to eventually share her full story- just a few days ago, I started officially writing the prologue for that long fic of mine!
Tumblr media
My scrunkly (my “baby”, character that gives me cuteness aggression, character that is So Shaped):
ASDshgjhdg is it a crime to ALSO say Aryll for this one? I would very much love to pick her up in my arms and swing her around like a parent with a tineee precious baby ;w;;;;;;;
Not really sure I have any other OCs who would count as "baby," a lot of the others are downright snarky motherfuckers, lmao.
My scrimblo bimblo (underrated/underappreciated fave):
I've grown quite attached to Arwel Haywood (Link and Aryll's father) while writing a bit of fic from his POV, (A FIC I STILL NEED TO FINISH, auUGHHHH! ! !!!!), and feel I don't think about him as much as I should. I need to flesh out his personality a bit more. So far, though... I am big uWU at the thought of him just,,, really, really loving his kids. I think he does have the tendency to push Link too hard too young with their training, and perhaps spends time with his son just a tad more than his daughter due to their shared interest in swordplay, but oh god does he do his genuine best with them, and I am HUGE a aAAA
(Not my art, but a preliminary Hero Forge model I did of him)
Tumblr media
My glup shitto (obscure fave, character that can appear in the background for 0.2 seconds and I won’t shut up about it for a week):
Taafeite, a fusion of my OC Jean Maverick and Steven Universe. They don't show up in their world very often- thus "obscure fave-" but when they do, it's sure to be quite a show. They're a big personality and very much enjoy being in the spotlight. Please don't underestimate their weapon. It may look like a glorified pizza cutter staff, but that bitch is fucking sharp.
Tumblr media
My poor little meow meow (“problematic”/unpopular/controversial/otherwise pathetic fave):
Hmm. I don't think any of my SU or BotW OCs fit this category. The only OC I have that even remotely fits is... a VERY old pull... Aster, a Gravity Falls multiverse OC I had at one point but never did anything concrete with. Aster... was the one who was a mercenary working for Bill, charged with hunting Ford down during those 30 years he was lost in the multiverse. They... definitely kill, and definitely do MANY morally wrong things, but there's a depressing backstory to be told, and they eventually do experience Character Development™ and become a less Problematic person, ahahah.
(this art is old as Balls, i'm so sorry)
Tumblr media
My horse plinko (character I would torment for fun, for whatever reason):
Jean Maverick. I, uh... outright amputate one of their legs in end-game content that I will probably never write out in full, so saying this is not a spoiler. I put them through so much bullshit, lmao. Trauma... self-loathing... I yeet them into the Gem war at one point... more trauma... meeting their mother WHILE experiencing trauma... homoerotic encounters with foes... oh yeah, they've got it all, shshgdhkkl
Tumblr media
My eeby deeby (character I would send to superhell):
jhhjsbdgj absolutely Morganite. Aka Jean's nemesis. Aka a gay ass motherfucker who was so lovesick for the concept of a romance that had long died in the war that she tried touching the sun and got burned. I kinda gave her a really depressing backstory, but she commits war crimes and is GemRacist™ though, which is why she's going to superhell. Byeee!

MINEFIELDS - Pt.1
George Weasley x Reader
Tumblr media
WARNINGS: mentions of death, trauma, mental instability, depression, ptsd... emotional scenes, basically almost angst but not too much...
AN: hello everyone! so i finally got the time to finish writing the first part of my second serie! (i know i haven't finished my Just Like Heaven one but i have adhd bare with me) and i'm pretty excited about this one since it's not going to be a specific genre like fluff or smut, it'll just be a mini fic, so i hope you'll like it!!🥰
☆:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::☆
The Battle of Hogwarts and Fred's premature death was a huge heartbreak for everybody. The ones you once were close to in school were now almost strangers to you. It was sad, pretty sad actually, but none of you got out the same from Hogwarts, and for you, you were still living the trauma and pain of fighting for your life and seeing your friends die, even 4 years later; never being able to fully heal.
You thought that forcing yourself to move on the second you got out of Scotland would help you, but in vain. It was hard for you to completely move on, and the only one that kept you company was Dean, your old Gryffindor friend, who happen to be now your long term boyfriend. He was the only one that was still there after all; not even Harry, Ron, Ginny or Neville bothered in keeping in touch... The only one that sent you a letter from time to time was Hermione. You found yourself writing to her as a sort of therapy, even though you did it once every three or four months. But she was there, somehow...
You learned from her the first year that her and Ron got in a relationship, finally after all these years of being chasing each other; Harry and Ginny were still together; even Luna was now in a happy and healthy relationship, but she couldn't keep you updated about the others.
The part that broke your heart the most was when she first mentioned Molly and Arthur in her letters; after the loss of their son they weren't the same, of course they were still the Weasleys you all once knew, but they were "empty", as Hermione described. Molly, still to this day, would put an extra plate at the family table, expecting to see Fred join them for dinner; and Arthur would spend more and more time in his office, trying to get his mind distracted.
And then George... For the first year he refused to look at himself in the mirror. He wouldn't sleep or eat properly. The day Fred died, a part of him died too, not as twins, but as individual too, and everybody saw it.
When Hermione told you about the hell George had had to go through during these 4 years, you couldn't help but hate yourself deeply for not being next to him and helping him going through that.
"Sometimes I find myself talking to Ronald and Ginny about him, we are all very concerned about him and his health, still to this day... After all, he did not only lost his twin that day... He also lost you..."
Fred, George and you were always together in your school days, since your first day at Hogwarts, even though they were a year older than you. You were always there for them and they were always there for you, always you three, through heaven and hell. You couldn't agree more with Hermione's words, and you hated yourself for that. You had been selfish, not being able to stand by George's side and not giving him any sign of life. At the time, you thought that it would be better for both of you to just disappear, but after all these years, you were completely regretting that decision.
"Sweetheart... Hermione wrote...", Dean says, entering your bedroom, handing you a folder piece of paper, "Are you okay?"
You were once again lost in your thoughts, always the same ones, but Dean always knew how to help you come back to reality. You appreciated that of him, never showing and ounce of pressure or frustration towards you, and you loved him. But you weren't sure if that was truly love or if you were just thankful for him being there... And it was a thought that was slowly killing you inside.
"Huh?", you shook your head, chasing all these intrusive thoughts from it, "Yeah, I'm okay... Let's see what she has to tell me today..."
Dean warmly smiled at you and placed a soft kiss on your forehead, "Okay, tell me if you need anything, alright?"
You nodded and opened the paper the moment he left the room.
"My dearest Y/N,
I hope you are doing well. Everything is great here, we are all doing good. Nothing much has changed, except for Harry and Ginny speaking of engagement... I was supposed to keep it secret because it is not entirely confirmed yet but I couldn't help myself from getting excited over it! A good new like this one is what we all need right now...
That is why I am writing to you, I was thinking about making a reunion... A family reunion... After all these years I think it is finally time to get together and talk around a good dinner... As we used to do... I think it would be great for everyone and Molly is already so excited to have you back home, she misses you so much, Y/N... We all mis you...
I hope I get your response soon...
Your dear friend,
Hermione."
You put the letter on your desk and sighed deeply. You knew one day you would have to go back to the Burrow and see everybody again, and you wanted too. You wanted to feel like home again, feel everybody's love and affection again. You truly had missed all that, but after second thoughts, you weren't sure it was a good idea...
Hermione said everybody was missing you, but was that true? Did they all want to see you? Or do they actually still hate you for leaving? You didn't want to face Ginny's, Harry's or Molly's gaze when you get there, you would be too ashamed of it...
"I think you should go...", Dean says after you explained the letter to him, "It's been 4 years, Y/N... You need to see them as much as they need to see you..."
"I know... But what if they hate me...", you say with a small voice.
"They don't hate you", your boyfriends take your hands in his, "I'm sure they've missed you. You practically lived there when we were in school... And you were always with Fred and George..."
The mention of Fred's name made your whole body shiver. It has been a long time since you've heard his name falling out of someone's mouth, and you could feel your heart drop at the sound of it.
"I miss them... So much...", you start tearing.
"I know, sweetheart, I know...", Dean pulls you in a tight hug, never letting you down and holding onto you for dear life.
"You really think I should go?", you ask a few minutes later.
"I do... I don't like the idea of leaving you alone but I think it would be better if you went by yourself... Next time I'll go with you"
"Are you sure?"
"Completely...", he smiled.
The days that followed Hermione's letter, you had sent your positive response to her and started packing your things for the few days you were going to spend at the Burrow. Hermione had told you that the only one aware of your visit was Molly of course, but it would be a total surprise for the rest, that information only making you more nervous.
The D-day came up more quick than you've had thought, but there you were, now standing in the middle of your living room, saying your goodbyes to Dean, surrounded by your bags.
"Good luck... Everything is going to be okay...", he says, leaving the last small peck on your lips.
You warmly smiled to him and in a second, you apparated on the field in front of the Burrow.
You could feel your eyes already water at the sight of it. It was like nothing had changed, and even after all the thing that house had been through, it looked the same as it did the first time you stayed there.
The smell of rain and wet grass filling your nostrils and the sound of the wind and early birds only made you more nostalgic. Damn you had missed this place. It was home, you were home.
After a moment trying to compose yourself, you took your bags and went straight to the building.
When you got to the front door, you realized that you didn't know what to do; should you knock? Should you just enter the house? Thinking that the second option would be the less appropriate, you decided to just knock, already nervous about who you'd get opening the door.
You waited a few seconds before hearing an echo of someone running though the house, followed by voices and sounds of plates.
"Harry, dear, can you please-
"Hello, Molly...", you smiled to the woman in front of you, "it's been a while..."
She was in complete shock. Her mouth completely open and strangely looking like she was about to pass out.
"Oh Merlin...", she breathes out, "Y/N... It's really you..."
You could see tears starting to form in her eyes, and you felt too weak to stop yours from falling. She opened her arms to you and you didn't hesitate to hug her, instantly starting to sob.
"Let me look at you... Oh my Lord...", she took your face in her hands, rubbing her thumbs on your cheeks, collecting your tears, "You're a grown woman now... I can't believe it... Arthur! Arthur, come here!"
She embraced you again in the warmest motherly hug you've ever received, which only made you sob more.
"What's wrong, mom?", Ron arrived at the door, followed by his sister, Hermione and Arthur, "Who's-
You slowly lift up you head from Molly's shoulder and faced everyone.
"Y/N... You came...", Hermione says, shocked.
"Of course I came..."
Everybody was speechless, not knowing if you were actually real or just a pure product of their imagination. Ginny instantly got towards you, embracing you as warmly as her mother.
"Merlin... How are you?", she asks.
"I'm fine... I'm sorry... I-
"You have nothing to be sorry for, darling...", Mr. Weasley was now the one to hug you.
When he let you go, you looked at the other three people; you couldn't really describe the looks on Harry and Ron's faces, they were visibly shocked, but you couldn't see if they were happy or mad to see you...
"Ronald...", you started to make your way towards him, but quickly, he took a few steps back, "I need to go...", he says, before leaving the room.
You knew it was a fair reaction, he had all the rights to hate you and be upset.
"I'm so sorry...", you sob, "I'm so so sorry..."
Harry put his hand on your shoulder and also embraced you in a warm hug.
You didn't expect the reunion to be this full of emotions, and it wasn't even breakfast's time yet...
Hermione and Ginny helped you with your bags, leading you to Charlie's empty room, the one you always used to stay in whenever you stayed with the Weasleys.
"It hasn't changed a bit...", you say, admiring the house as it was the first time you saw it.
The two girls entered the room and sat on the bed with you, only to stay there in silence hugging you for a moment. As you couldn't believe to actually be there, they couldn't believe it either.
You made a brief resume of what had happened in your life during these 4 years; why you had left, where you were living now, your life with Dean...
"Dean?", Ginny smiled, "Wow... I wasn't expecting that one..."
"Yeah... I hope it's okay though...", you say, embarrassed.
"Don't worry, it's completely fine... Besides...", she stops to lift her hand and wiggle her ring finger, now occupied with a big gemstone.
"Godric! You're joking!", you take her hand, "I mean... Hermione told me about something like this in the letter, but I didn't know it was confirmed!"
"Hermione!", Ginny scolds her.
"Sorry! You know I'm very bad at keeping secrets! I was so excited for you!"
The three of you kept laughing and talking about everything, making you forget about the moment you had been apprehending for the past few days: your first meeting with George.
"Breakfast's ready!", you hear Molly's voice echo through the house, making memories come back to you.
You slowly made your way down the stairs with the girls and when you got to the kitchen, you felt you whole body freeze.
You were feeling like you were about to pass out, but at the same time, you couldn't find yourself making any type of move, you weren't sure if you were still breathing. You felt the weight of the world on your shoulder when you saw the man you had shared so many moments with, and when he turned to face you, you saw his brother.
His body immediately copied yours, not being able to move or say anything, and for a good minute, George and you stood still, staring at each other; and as if you had read each other's mind at the same time, you ran towards each other and crashed in your arms, sobbing like babies. You felt his legs start to lose strength, and you not being able to help him stand, you both let your bodies fall to the ground, still hugging and holding on each other for dear life.
Neither of you had said anything yet, you were both too busy shaking and sobbing to say anything anyways.
The other people in the kitchen didn't say anything either, they just stood there, looking at George and you, knowing that it would be better to not interrupt you and just leave you let your emotions out.
George was obviously was more affected than you were, and you could feel his body tremble with every breath he tried to take.
"I m-missed you... so much...", he managed to say between sobs.
"I missed you too, Georgie...", you keep crying with him.
"W-why... did you... left me..."
"I know... I know... I shouldn't have... I'm so sorry...", you sobbed harder. How could you have done that to him? How could you have left him alone? After everything...
"I'm so sorry, Georgie... So sorry... I missed you so much..."
"Please, tell me you're staying...", he looked at you in the eyes. You could feel his sincerity emane from his body, and you knew he needed you. He needed you as much as you needed him.
"I am staying...", you managed to smile between your tears. George hugged you even tighter than before, crushing your body with his but you didn't care. You'd let him break your whole body if he needed to.
"Georgie... Honey...", you felt Molly's soft presence helping you get up and guiding the both of you to the table. When you sat down, you see that everybody was deeply affected by the scene that just happened; Molly still having tears running down her cheeks and Hermione and Ginny holding onto each other. Even Harry and Ron were on the verge of crying.
You sat down on your chair, George's eyes still on you and your hand in his.
"George, darling..."
You quickly turned your head to the voice behind you.
"Angie...", George got up, almost stumbling on his own feet.
"What is she doing here?", she asks, earning confused looks from everybody.
By the look she had on her face, you knew she wasn't happy to see you. She looked at you with disgust and anger, which was completely fair...
"How dare you?! You filthy little-
"Angie, it's okay... Please, calm down..."
"Calm down?! Look at you! Only her can make you feel that way again!"
"Angelina... I promise I came here to start things over... And do things correctly this time...", you say, tears forming again in your eyes.
"You have NO RIGHTS to be here! After all the damage you caused this family! NO RIGHTS!", she yelled, her eyes almost popping out of her head.
You looked at the people around the table, no one saying anything. Not even Molly was able to form coherent words, she was just there, heavily breathing.
"I'm going to go...", you slowly stand up from your seat, not wanting to make everyone more upset than they already were, "Angelina, I'm sorry..."
She glanced at you in anger, "you shouldn't be here", she spat.
"Y/N, don't leave, please...", George pleaded, eyes red and swollen.
"I'm just going out, I'll be okay, don't worry...", you caressed his arm trying to comfort him, and you could feel Angelina tensing her body at that action, eyes full of fire.
"I'm sorry...", you say before closing the door behind you.

okok so alex starts off as a transfer student and begins going to jujutsu high in her second year alongside geto, gojo and shoko
they're relatively close w/ shoko but in a more similar way that I am with my closest friend (ie we have no filter when we talk about stuff, by that I mean we just talk about everything casually ranging from in detail period buisness to body issues because yay dysphoria)
after that, she's closer to gojo by a longshot and both are best friends who are also even closer w/ geto (and secretly in love with him lmfaoo) After the events of jjk0 gojo offers alex to come back to the school and she reluctantly accepts since they've got nothing left, with that she becomes gojo's assistant teacher and the two grow incredibly close over the empty hole in their hearts due to the loss of geto. plus both are incredibly clingy people so they're always there for one another in an instant if the other is feeling lonely (which in fact is an extremely common occurrence on a near daily basis 💀)
and obviously the person they're closest to is geto, their best friend and eventual boyfriend (and husband later down the line) Before geto officially left the school he took nanako and mimiko to alex's dorm, explained the situation and after alex cleaned the two girls up they left together. alex never necessarily enjoyed the life of a jujutsu sorcerer especially after receiving the scar over her eye and a large scar on the back of her neck from their fight with toji which left even deeper mental scars.
other people she's close to ranges such as with nanako and mimiko, her adopted daughters. haibara, who used to be a good friend of hers prior to... yk. nanami and them never got necessarily close but after the jjk0 incident when alex was an assistant teacher the two got along due to their resentment towards being a jujutsu sorcerer. alex is like a big sister/parental figure towards the main trio (yuuji, nobara & megumi) and is extremely protective over them both physically and mentally bc she does not want the world to have them end up like geto. them and yuuji are closer than the others since she was always there for geto when he had to swallow curses, so she's there to help support him since she has a good grasp of how horrible it is and how much of a burden it is. alex didn't take part I'm the night of a hundred demons but she still avoids the 2nd years since she's aware of geto's run-in with them. she doesn't blame them for what happened to geto but things are very awkward between her and yuuta for obvious reasons. yaga is a parental figure for alex as well since he was her teacher and a very influential one at that who always looked out for his students which lead to her wanting to do the same for everyone else
another surprising friendship is between alex, jogo, hanami and dagon. alex and geto hung out with the three quite often prior to the events of jjk0 so she grew very fond of them and the four had soft spots for one another. alex wanted them to just run off and forget everything to live long lives despite them being curses but thanks to kenjaku returning and manipulating them, we all know how that turnt out.
now that the basics of relationships is went over, now onto their cursed technique and life as a sorcerer bc yaaay
so basically alex's cursed technique is cursed energy hardening, where they can basically manipulate their cursed energy into a solid of whatever form they desire, whether that is weapons or solid blocks used as stuff to block attacks or to climb up into the air like stairs. she's an incredibly strong sorcerer as a grade 1 and is occasionally considered to be a special grade, but because of her technique itself that prevents her from ever truly reaching special grade. they're an incredible fighter and physically stronger than gojo and geto (bc yay heavy lifting) and can beat both in an arm wrestling contest cause why not. obviously in overall strength she isn't close to the other two since her grade as a sorcerer is so high mostly due to her seemingly endless level of cursed energy. due to an immense amount of trauma growing up her cursed energy is created almost nonstop so she doesn't need to worry about limiting herself unless it comes to domain expansion which requires her to fight for a certain amount of time prior to get the proper buildup. female sorcerer's own strength is never put into consideration when being ranked, their looks are. after alex recovered from the events from the star plasma vessel arc, she was called in by the higher ups and her rank was taken down to a semi grade-2 due to the scar on her face "ruining her quality as a female sorcerer." they were going to be grade 3 but their level of cursed energy saved them from that further downgrade, but once geto and gojo heard of that they confronted the higher ups and she regained her og grade bc fuck misogyny.
alex is the only member of her family clan which she disbanded after a fight with her father for leadership. he sent the remainder of her family away to an unknown location and it was still unconfirmed if they were killed or not since the only one who escaped was her sister because she was out making horrible life decisions (based off my irl big sis ahahahhaha 😐) at time of everyone's disappearance. alex lost the first time in a humiliating way and that's how she got a large scar across her back and stretching to an arm. but after recovering and training they mastered their technique, fought him once again, won and disbanded the clan.
as said in the relationships area, alex left with geto and the two moved around places for a little while with the nanako and mimiko. from the start alex took on a parental role towards them alongside geto and spoiled them as much as she could, tending to their every need and ready to be at their side at a moments notice. eventually geto started his cult and so alex and the girls started off living in an apartment that he'd return home to after the day was finished up until they received enough funds to move into the cult's main building itself where they stayed until the events of jjk0. after the death of a certain someone, alex and gojo came across one another and gojo offered to let her rejoin the school as an assistant teacher since she didn't have the proper experience to be an actual teacher. alex always wanted to be a teacher so they were comforted by gojo's offer, though reluctant to accept due to the number of crimes committed as a curse user alongside geto, worried of being accused of being an accomplice to geto's list of murders (good for you geto you hot baddie, king, icon, girlboss)
gojo promised to keep alex safe and fight the higher ups if he needed, so desperate to get his friend back to fill that void in his life that was only amplified with the loss of his one and only. he was willing to put his entire career on the line just to make sure they could come back into his life and his argument with the higher ups was enough for that to happen. alex often went back and fourth, taking time to care for nanako and mimiko over the weekends since they committed too many crimes to have it safe for them to be spared or near the school's campus alone since alex moved back into the school eventually. she also had one last conversion with jogo, hanami and dagon where she gave them one final request for them to live their lives to the fullest, to stay safe and treasure themselves. to live a peaceful and happy life away from everything. (obviously that didn't happen lmfao)
then the next year rolled around and alex officially became gojo's assistant teacher and it stayed that way up until the shibuya incident where due to kenjaku and the loss of gojo's protection (bc of... yk 📦...) she was once again considered a curse user and suspended from the sorcerer world. she took on the full role as everyone's teacher and rounded up all of gojo's students (ie the remaining 1st and 2nd years) and helped them recover thanks from help from yuuta, shoko, choso and yuki.
alex guided them to the place where tengen resides which wasn't a pleasant place to be considering her trauma rooted there from the star plasma vessel arc, even commenting about the stain of blood on the floor likely belonging to riko. alex held a grudge against master tegen since she blamed him for riko's sorry excuse for a life and how the whole mission was pointless so they didn't even want to be there in the first place, but that parental instinct towards gojo's students was strong enough for her to stay with them for protection. after that they left yuki and choso which now leads us to the current arc
in the culling game arc alex is trying to find the others in their group and are doing fine as of now but they hold the hope that they'll come across geto, haibara, nanami, nobara or nanako and mimiko due to the quirks of the culling games. they aren't taking shit from anyone and are pretty much in rage mode dude to kenjaku's interference with everything and how they got separated from all they have left to live for. (also when they first say kenjaku they stepped in before he could attack yuuji, screamed and cried while blaming kenjaku for taking away everything from her and flaunting around their dead lovers body but then he was all "lmao I know you ain't gonna hurt me, you wouldn't hurt this face even though it isn't him" but yuuji stepped in and defended her in return and then everything else followed suit)
idk this blog was mostly just me rambling but I wanna introduce ocs and self inserts I use for their respective fandoms so why not start here lol
if I get freetime I'm definitely planning on drawing/doodling them w/ some of the important people in their life (obviously geto is for sure lol) so lookout for that sometime in the future? 👀

Inner Healing Rarely Comes From a Medicine Bottle
Tumblr media
Confronting the pain … the loss … often alone helps you see that hope is still there.
My nephew is following the path of the ancients when life takes a devastating turn… the pilgrimage, the sojourn, an odyssey a journey to reconcile his desire for joy in life in the face of mind numbing loss…
In the early morning hours of the 28th of February, 2021 the Rich family who followed after my father, Roland Rich; my wife, my three sons, their wives, my grandchildren, my sister’s son, my brother, his wife, his son, his daughter, his daughter in law, his grandchildren all were peacefully sleeping through the last moments of the world as we knew it. By 9:30am of the 28th, the existence of what we all knew was gone, ripped from our grasp in the form of a violent, horrific car accident that claimed the life of Matthew Paul Rich. Matthew, my brother’s son was twenty four, a husband and father of two little children was no more … the twenty five and more members of his family plus dozens of close friends, in a year where death had been all too prevalent due to a pandemic of historical proportions, were now dealing with a personal loss of a young who was a boundless source of joy to all who knew him. Nothing would ever be the same. But, …. This isn’t Matthew’s story …
No, this isn’t a story about Matthew Rich, though the laughter and joy he brought could fill volumes. I’m not writing about his beautiful wife and lovely children. These words have little to do with a father who had lost his son. This is the story of Matthew’s brother and best friend… my nephew Cory Patrick Rich, whose loss of Matthew created a unique devastation of spirit yet, awakened in him a refusal to relinquish the happiness in life so often provided by his brother.
Tumblr media
Cory was born on the 12th of July, 1991 to Brian and Vickie Keith-Rich in Conroe, Tx. He was and is still to some degree a loner but in a healthy manner. He graduated from Klein Oak High School in 2009. My nephew is intense… he LOVES his family, he loves deep intense conversations with them, which is a trait directly inherited from my dad, his grandfather, Roland Rich. His intensity also showed sometimes in his temper, “il peperoncino fa scaglie nel culo,” and like many young men who are eighteen or nineteen, lacked direction… and it caused him a little trouble. Despite this, Cory has always shown the ability to make sound decisions in stressful times. To get some focus, Cory enlisted in the United States Army and served in Kuwait during time of war. He knew that many of his family members whom he deeply respected followed a long tradition of military service: his grandfather was a twelve year Navy veteran; his cousin, my son, is a USMC veteran; his step brother served in the Army for 8 years; his second cousin on his fathers side was in the United States Navy SOG (Navy Seals); a great uncle who retired from the USAF; and an great uncle who served in the Navy during WWII… and on back through time to the American Revolution. The discipline and focus was exactly what he needed … Cory knew that.
Tumblr media
When he left the army he, like many young men, pondered what would they do with their lives, but he had a rock that kept him grounded: his brother Matthew. Often brothers have rocky relationships. My brother Brian and I have been known to butt heads, some have distance that is sad to see. My sons love to provoke each other and argue much too much. Then there’s Matthew and Cory. Did they fight? Yes. Did they argue? Yes. They were, for much of their lives, raised apart as many children are due to divorce, but there was something special going on there. I have seen men who were close brothers; I have seen brothers who were best friends, but rarely have I seen many who were incredibly close brothers and best friends to each other. Separately, they were funny guys and opposite sides of the same coin. Matt was laid back, cordial, a peacemaker and genuinely put everyone at ease; Cory is curious, a seeker of ideas and often a bit hot headed. They played off each other’s strengths and assuaged their weaknesses. They looked out for each and dreamed dreams with each other. My brother and I haven’t always gotten along, but now, at 55, we’ve found a commonality of thought, even though that tension lurks just beneath the surface. Matt and Cory were a team … a powerful entity when together. Then, with the precision of the marking of a calendar… they weren’t.
This piece will not rehash the horrid details of that awful morning, or share the agony of a young widow or the pain of a mother who lost her baby. This is a story of the path of a lost young man. Dr. Elisabeth Kubler Ross in her timeless study on how humans cope with grief, wrote there were five stages we go through when we lose a loved one. I observed Cory experience four of them: denial, anger, bargaining, and depression. The final stage: acceptance was stopped by an emotional brick wall. In all honesty, Cory, Brian, me (although my pain was to a much lesser extent) did all the right things to cope and some of the negative things you would expect. We argued, we cried, we drank too much, we self medicated, we had nightmares….remember my mention of Cory’s intensity? It was as you’d expect. My brother answered the call of being the patriarch and set the example for his family, I was there to help him when being the solid foundation was too much. Cory jumped in and took on the role Matt’s kids desperately needed. He spent his free time with them, took the son to soccer practice, helped Matt’s widow cope, comforted his mother … he showed a maturity and responsibility beyond expectation. All the while, Cory was so very much alone in processing his loss while attending to his loved ones.
Tumblr media
My brother wisely planned a family trip to California to visit his wife’s son. The intentions were perfect, a family taking a step towards normalcy. From my own struggles with mental and emotional health, I learned that when situations approach a calm, the deep seeded pain that you haven’t been able to face, will rise to the surface as the progress that has been made will have your mind tell you, “ok, it’s time to deal with more stuff.” This happened on their trip. I told my brother that this wasn’t a setback but a step forward to deal with a loss that no human could take on all at once. Cory had taken no time for himself. He was spinning his wheels and the pain would not abate. I mentioned earlier that Cory had shown sound decision making in the past during times of emotional distress, he was about to embark on what I view, as a courageous, healthy, well thought out, wisdom beyond his years path towards healing. Cory was going on the road with his little dog Chewie in search of peace.
Tumblr media
Like Homer, Ibn Battuta, Strabo, Xuan Zang, Thomas Jefferson, Isabella Byrd, Michael Palin, Jack Kerouac or Anthony Bourdain … Cory was not going on vacation, Cory was not going to “party.” The travelers mentioned above were seeking truth, understanding, community…Cory was going to find a way to live with the loss of his little brother. All to often, we will wallow in self pity and depression, harm ourselves or drop out of living altogether. Very few of us have the courage to go headlong and face our fear and pain and conquer it by seeing others in our world contend with tragedy and be inspired. To seek comfort traveling alone and realizing that none of us are truly alone is a daunting task. I would say that most people have dreamed of hitting the open road to “find ourselves “ and carrying a little regret at not having the balls to do it. Cory has no time schedule, no mapped out path, no preplanned itinerary…his heart and Chewie’s needed pit stops are his only considerations. Well, in truth, there is one destination and hundreds of ways to get there. Matt went on his honeymoon with Rachel his wife to Colorado. He was in awe of the beauty of the vistas. They returned home and, of course, he made a pact with his brother, “Cory brah, promise me that we will climb Pikes Peak together.” Cory promised… Matt is there on the summit ready to embrace his brother and tell him, “it’s ok dude, I’m good, thank you for caring for my family. I’m ok brah, go live …go live…go live …for me.”
Tumblr media
My nephew has been gone for three weeks. His path on the map looks like pretzels. He’s been to New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, California, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Illinois, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Maine, West Virginia, Missouri and numerous places. He is heading towards Pikes Peak today …something powerful is going to happen …and Cory Patrick Rich had the courage to face it. I know this entry in my blog seems quite incomplete. “Where’s the details of the place he visited? What’d he eat? How’s he doing?” are questions that are being asked. I’ll let you know when he gets back. I also kept many of the names of Matt’s family unwritten so as to focus on one man’s personal sojourn. Each of us have a story through this nightmare we’ve experienced, but this is Cory’s and he still has many miles to travel before he can rest.
"Kathy, I'm lost", I said, though I knew she was sleeping
I'm empty and aching and I don't know why
Counting the cars on the New Jersey Turnpike
They've all come to look for America
All come to look for America
All come to look for America*
