This... this is a whole different kind of psychic damage here. When nightmares got Marcille, we get to knew that her's biggest fear is outliving her friends. This isn't even canon probably, but look at this. This isn't a "I don't want my friends to die" kind of dream. This is a "I'm terrified of loosing my daughters, of something killing them, and being incapable of stopping it" kind of dream. It's so simple yet it explains perfectly the whole of chilchucks character. He loves, he cares, deeply. But he, or doesn't acknowledges, or doesn't know what to do with that knowledge.
Besides that. Someone had to wake him up after this. Imagine the devastation in this man after he wakes up. He just saw his three little babys murdered corpses (or maybe he saw them die, wich isn't better). He would possibly not talk about it, and that would worry the hell out of the party, because we'll, they see him all down and only one of them knows what he saw. Imagine being the one to pull him from that nightmare. Seeing this man, usually so composed, fuking staring with tears and terror in his eyes to the composes of what you can only assume are his daughters. It would be heartwrenching.
Idk, I love this man so much...

Chilchuck Tims / Chilchuck's Wife
It was supposed to be easier than pulling out a tooth. Instead, Junnimay found herself dragging her feet about the house as she took stock of all her belongings one last time before she went to bed.
Tomorrow, she would be leaving this house where she had spent almost half her life and the entirety of her adult years. This house where her daughters grew up and where her youngest was born a week late, coaxed out only by a long and complicated spell cast by a kind gnome living two houses down who happened to be a retired midwife.
This house where she once felt she had made a home.
Fler was the first of the girls to move out, wanting to live closer to the heart of the city where she was only a short walk away from the best clothiers in Kahka Brud and where she had better chances of meeting someone to marry. Mei followed suit half a year after, her hands hidden behind her back as she approached Junnimay one evening to announce the news that she had been given a room at a lodge owned by the Half-foot Union as a perk of the contract she accepted. Puck roomed with Mei for a brief period when she was employed by a wealthy tall-man family as a dog walker, before she decided to hop on a caravan with an elf she had befriended during that time.
With her daughters having places of their own to call home and Chilchuck being away on dungeon expeditions for years on end, there was nothing more than memory that kept her where she was. This house had served its purpose in her life, and she believed that it was a good time to move on from it. Even if she hadn't thought too hard about what to do next, moving out of this house and taking Fler up on her offer to live together seemed to be the right first step.
Most of the shelves in the house were bare even before Junnimay started the process of packing up about a week ago. Mei and Fler took the bulk of their belongings with them when they moved out. Junnimay stored the things they left behind in the basement, where she had marked out one set of shelves for Mei and two for Fler. Puck didn't have the luxury of space that her older sisters had, taking only what could fit in one carrying pouch and one trunk that was comically large in comparison to her then newly ten-year-old self. The rest of Puck's belongings were moved to the set of shelves in the basement that Junnimay had set apart for her.
Besides several wooden chests of lock-picking tools, two cupboards of various bottles of alcohol and the odd item of clothing that cropped up here and there, there wasn't much else in the house that belonged to Chilchuck. It made cleaning up easy when she first did her rounds in preparation to move out, putting anything that belonged to one of her girls onto their respective shelves in the basement. If she found anything that belonged to Chilchuck, she would stuff it into any bare spots in the lowest sections of the cupboards of alcohol where he also left things that he didn't know where else to place.
Before dawn broke, Junnimay was already awake. Despite having tossed and turned persistently before sleep finally came over her, she surprised herself with how easily she emerged from beneath the blankets and rose from the bed.
Having changed out of her nightclothes and gotten herself ready for work, she checked every corner of the house as if she were an inner city guard on night patrol, making sure that everything was as she left it the night before. When she was satisfied, she tied on her cloak and laced up her boots and left for the bakery for a short morning shift.
Mei was already inside the house when she came back, hunched over an open trunk as she loaded in her mother's books that had been removed from the makeshift shelves around the alcove that overlooked the sea.
That was her favourite part of the house for the longest time. Looking at it now and seeing it devoid of the signs that she had just been lounging there with a new novel and a cup of honeyed milk made her feel as though someone had reached into her chest to pinch at her heart.
("You drink more milk than the girls," Chilchuck said, all smiles and good humour as he finally emerged from the girls' bedroom after tucking them in. Junnimay laughed, leaning into his labour-roughened palm when he tucked himself into her side and smoothed his hand over her cheek. "All that milk and you've never been taller than me."
"Well, it'd be a waste if I drank honey straight from the pot, wouldn't it?")
There was a reason that she left the alcove as the last part of the house to gather her belongings from.
"I'm back," Junnimay said, softly so as not to startle her daughter who was currently preoccupied with helping her pack up. "Thank you for your help."
Mei continued her work, not looking up in order to keep her concentration. "I'm about half-done here," Mei said. "Fler's upstairs, and Puck's on her way with the wagon and the horses."
Since her books and her clothes were being taken care of, Junnimay ventured into the basement to bring up a trunk she had brought from her parents' house all those years ago. She was hit with a sudden urge to open it up and poke around inside it when she tugged off the dust cover. Something about the weathered leather encasing trunk made her feel like she was a child waiting to open her birthday present again.
("What are you doing down here?"
Junnimay jumped from her seated position on the basement floor at the sound of Chilchuck's voice. She turned around to see him coming down the stairs and fixing her with a curious look.
"You got a secret pet in here or something?" he asked, scanning the area around her. She let out a sound that was between a scoff and a chuckle, standing up and dusting off her now-wrinkled dress.
"The girls would be here too if we did have a secret dog to hide from you," she said, smiling.)
Junnimay was caressing the time-worn grooves on the latch that spelled out her mother's name when Fler shouted for her from upstairs. It didn't sound as though Fler was hurt, but she still rushed towards where she thought Fler might be when she called just in case something was wrong.
"Mama, do you...?"
Fler was standing in front of one of Chilchuck's cupboards where he kept his alcohol, her back facing her mother as her voice trailed off. Hearing footsteps behind her, Fler turned around to face Junnimay, clutching something to her chest that looked very familiar.
It was a pot of honey from her hometown.
("Jun," came Chilchuck's voice from directly in front of her. "You can open your eyes now."
When she did, she was greeted with the rare sight of her fiancé with his cheeks pink and his ears pinker as he held out a painted pot of something to her. Junnimay reached out, and he all but shoved the pot into her hands. Fumbling a little with the pot that weighed much more than it looked, Chilchuck was quick to latch his hands onto the decorative indents so that neither of them wouldn't drop it.
"Chil, is this what I think it is?" she asked, even if she already knew what was inside the pot from the sweet, sweet aroma wafting through the cloth covering the mouth of the pot, bouncing on her heels.
Chilchuck nodded, his eyes darting about awkwardly before he cleared his throat. "As promised, only the best," he said, his words coming out in an ambiguous string with how he spoke without moving his lips much. "Just for you.")
"You told us Papa got this for you a long time ago! Do you remember?" Fler was trying to gesture excitedly at the same time as she held the large piece of stoneware in her arms, coming close to dropping it more than once. "You told us—"
Junnimay wanted to answer the question, but her ability to speak failed her.
She had long since emptied the contents of the pot, being overly generous with the spoonfuls she took from it when she wanted to sweeten her milk. The girls, too, mimicked her large portions when they took turns scooping out honey for their bread in the mornings.
Chilchuck had once said something about him not being made out of gold coins, after he was drawn into the kitchen by the smell of cured meat made in the style of their shared hometown cooking in rendered lard. He had caught sight of Puck with honey smeared across almost her entire face and walked over to her to wipe it off. Puck's bowl was more honey than bread, which prompted him to remind his family that he was not, in fact, made of gold.
Junnimay could see herself laughing as she flipped over the slices of meat in the pan, knowing that Chilchuck was censoring himself since he was in front of their daughters who were too young to be spitting out expletives.
"... Of course I remember," Junnimay said, putting on a smile and inwardly cursing at herself for doing so. "I asked for a lot of honey, so he bought some for me." There was no point in putting on a smile. There was no point in pretending.
What was she pretending for?
Fler coiled her arms tighter around the pot, squeezing. Junnimay could tell that there was something she wanted to say but she didn't know how to say it. She could see it in the way Fler was staring at her face but not making eye contact, the way Fler was incessantly shifting her weight from one foot to the other and then back again.
"Why did you stop asking Papa for things?"
When Fler finally spoke, Junnimay felt the question batter the breath out of her. She inhaled slowly, finding relief in the stretch of air filling up her lungs, thinking and thinking and wishing she had the answer.
Why did she stop asking Chilchuck for things? For help? For the time of day? Why—
"Asking someone who's not around is hard, isn't it?"
The words were bitter on her lips. She spoke the truth, though oversimplified for the sake of not having this difficult conversation on this day when she needed to be strong for herself. There would be a time for that in the future, but not now.
Fler's eyes misted over with the arrival of tears. Junnimay began to fret over if she had been too harsh, but Fler started nodding to show that she understood, a slow and measured nod at first before she repeatedly bobbed her head.
"... You know, sometimes, I can't remember what Papa looks like," Fler started with a wobble in her upper lip, turning away from Junnimay for a moment to return the empty pot of honey to the place where she found it. Junnimay met her at the open cupboard doors and drew her daughter into her embrace, squeezing. "I understand where you're coming from, Mama. But— I wish— I didn't have to miss Papa so much."
"I know how it hurts, little heart. But we still have each other," Junnimay whispered, starting to choke up from her own tears. She began rubbing circles into Fler's back, swaying and humming a lullaby with Fler in her arms the way she did with all her daughters when they were much younger. "We'll always have each other."
(This neighbourhood that Chilchuck had chosen was predominantly gnomes.
The vicinity was different from their hometown where everyone was a half-foot and everything was sized accordingly. Everything was built a little larger than they were used to. Junnimay supposed it suited her husband, since he was the tallest half-foot she knew.
Gnomes weren't much taller than half-foots, so she supposed that having to reach a little further to place things on the upper shelves was something she could learn to live with. She was more relieved that Mei and Fler could grow up in an area where she need not worry about her comparatively smaller daughters getting trampled by the much larger tall-man or kobold children who didn't know better.
Away from the centre of Kahka Brud which boasted architecture quite heavily in favour of the taller races, this gnome community along a cliff that looked out on the sea was similar enough to the village they grew up in. It was the perfect place to build a home away from home.
Chilchuck stopped at the shortest house in the row of fourteen that lined the edge of the cliff.
"This is it," he said, a grin on his face so wide that his skin threatened to split. "Our new home.")

Forbidden Fruit - Part XVII
Part I
Laios did but not before slowly, gently, easing Chilchuck off his lap and throwing one last, wistful look down at his dripping hole. Then he headed over to a corner of the room where Chilchuck had prepared a few soft pieces of cloth as well as a bowl of water, grabbing both before coming back over towards the bed.
He hovered near the edge for a moment, gaze wandering between Chilchuck, still sprawled out boneless across the sheets, and the fabric and bowl in his hands. Then he hummed to himself, curious, as he dipped a piece of cloth into the water.
"Can I?"
It was a bold assumption Chilchuck would even consider allowing his help with this. A sharp, cynical part of Chilchuck wanted to snort and grab the items, clean himself quickly before he soaked the sheets even further. But something in the way Laios looked at him gave that part pause. There was a softness, an eagerness and devotion in the request that felt utterly disarming and that struck a chord within Chilchuck he usually kept well guarded. Of course Laios would be the one able to lay it bare and aim for it with gentle precision without even meaning to or noticing. This was exactly what Chilchuck had been worried about from the start and yet...
The cynical part hissed in defiance. Then fell quiet.
With his heart thumping in his chest and all the way up in his throat Chilchuck considered the request. Truly considered it without jumping to rash, defensive answers.
Laios seemed eager enough to help him, surely an extension of wanting to take care of Chilchuck as long as he was allowed. Yet something about the thought of simply lying back and letting Laios clean him made his skin prickle with heat. The notion alone felt even more intimate than literally allowing the tallman inside him and yet ... Chilchuck did not recoil from it. Not with that cynical part quiet and his body still loose and comfortable. Yes, there was something akin to fear stirring in his chest, in his abdomen, but the twisting coil of it was fluttery and curious.
All the while as Chilchuck considered, Laios stood there, waiting patiently, barely squirming in place. It was easy to tell just how much he wanted to do this for him. It was apparent in the way he held himself, shoulders tight as he clutched the items in his hands. As if he was only waiting for permission to jump back onto the bed and get to work. Yearning to please but not without permission. Never without permission.
It was that trust he had in the tallman that made Chilchuck nod in the end.
"You can." Barely more than a whisper, his own heartbeat choking the words on their way out.
Chilchuck would have expected all hells to break loose as soon as he agreed. Had expected Laios to jump into action, maybe spill most of the water in his excitement to get to work. Instead the tallman fell very, very still. For an endless moment neither of them moved, not a tremble shaking sticky fingers, not even a breath sucked into aching lungs.
Finally Laios moved. But not in the way Chilchuck had expected him to. Instead of climbing back onto the bed the tallman sank to his knees where he was standing. His movements were thoughtful and controlled as he set down both the bowl and the towels beside himself, then reached out with careful hands.
It was only when Chilchuck did not protest that those large hands wrapped around his bruised hips once more and pulled him towards the edge of the bed.
"Don't worry", Laios said, quiet and serious in a way that made Chilchuck swallow. "I won't do anything weird. It just ... feels right. This way."
"O-oh ... alright...", Chilchuck mumbled as he pushed himself up onto his elbows to watch.
What else was he even supposed to say to that? Especially when Laios stared at him with an intensity that made him feel less like he was about to be devoured and more like Laios was about to pledge his life, his undying loyalty and many more, unspeakable things to him.
There were no words left for Chilchuck to utter, no will to protest, when Laios moved to arrange his body as he pleased, using the same calm, controlled movements as before. He braced one of Chilchuck's feet against his shoulder, then pushed the other leg up and back to open him up. Surely giving him an obscene view of Chilchuck's still dripping, loosened hole.
He kept to his word, though, and did not do anything weird. Instead he reached down to pick up the damp cloth and run it between Chilchuck's cheeks. The first touch was surprisingly cold and uncomfortable and he hummed a low, soothing noise as Chilchuck jumped. Then pressed a gentle kiss against his bent knee before continuing.
"There's so much", he breathed, devotion and fascination and adoration so heavy in his tone that Chilchuck felt his skin prickle and run hot again. His entire body humming with Laios' rapt attention. "Can't believe you took it all. You're incredible, Chil ... just look at you."
Chilchuck still did not know what to reply so he kept quiet. Willing his thighs to stop trembling as Laios set out to clean him with quiet focus. He worked with diligence and persistence, rinsing the cloth several times between careful, slow swipes of his hand. Then replaced it with a clean, dry one to finish his work off.
He was still quiet when he set everything aside and lowered Chilchuck's leg, allowing it to hang freely off the edge of the bed. Lowering the one that had been braced against his shoulder right after.
He just knelt there afterwards, still and silent, radiating a deep, honest satisfaction. As well as something else. Something darker. Heavier.
Chilchuck swallowed, pushed himself upright. He was looking down at Laios like this, with the tallman sitting back on his haunches, and the way golden eyes blinked up at him tugged on something in his chest. Those eyes were still soft, were still loyal. But they were also hurting.

We alredy know what's Chilchuck's worst nightmare. What if I told you that it was canon?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
His daughters have alredy been eaten. His wife was eaten too. His family are all dead. His worst nightmare has come truth. And he for sure feels like it's partially his fault, because it's the Winged Lion doing, yes, but who helped Laios get here? Chilchuck. And who's daughters and wife are now dead because of it? Chilchuck's. The suggestion of recreating them tells us that they've alredy been eaten. The way he says it makes it feel like it's too late. They're dead. Because of him. Of his actions. Of his job. The irony of it all is actually quite cruel. He makes a union so he can prevent bad things to happen to his race, to his family, and then, and he works at the union. And now, because of his job, he got them all killed.
He doesn't even know how his daughters are until way later, I don't even know if in the manga they send letters to him during the feast, because I know they don't go to said feast. So Chilchuck doesn't know if his girls are alright until, again, way later. We know they don't die because, well, there's this comic of them going to meet Laios, the new king. But if not for that, who could tell us they didn't die on the monster appearances? I can imagine that after the feast Chil went stright to check on them. Because he loves his daughters, and he cares for his wife. He sucks at communicating it, yes, but he does.
Tumblr media
He doesn't want to risk his family's safety. But he, unknowingly, unwillingly, indirectly, did. He got them eaten by those demons because he helped his friends achieve his goal. Because he cared about Falin and wanted her to be human again. Because he cared about Laios and didn'twanted to see him loose his sister. Because he cared about Marcille, Senshi and Itsuzumi. He cares so much about everyone and wants to help everyone (in his own way), that he doesn't think that the result would, inevitably so, be the worst outcome for him. The one in wich work and private life get mixed together. His job as a member of Laios's party ended dragging his family in, despite his best efforts. His job ended up, not only endangering the whole word with demons, but his family. His four precious girls. It ended up almost killing them (probably it killed them for some time because getting eaten by those demons works wierd).
Worst part? He didn't have the time to be mourn over what he 100% sure thought was the complete loss of his family. He was in a hurry to survive himself, so he pushed those sad feelings and tried his best to help who he had left. Later on he finds out that the demons spitted out people. And he seems shocked with some kind of surprised relief.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He looks how everyone that got eaten was alive. And he can't quite either believe it nor understand it. He is really confused. So they didn't die? Are my daughters ok? Is my wife ok? Did everybody survived? Are they alive? He dares to hope that they're all ok and pulls into a box his feelings again, saving it up for when he has the time to be overwhelmed about this all. He has a feast, trying not to worry, but worried sick. Then he goes home and checks on them.
Give this poor man a break and a beer...

one thing i love about dungeon meshi is how specialized everyone is. how hypercompetent characters completely flounder outside of their area of expertise. how in a Battle Royale situation where everyone had to 1v1 kabru would absolutely SWEEP and yet he is not remotely suited for the dungeon and keeps fucking dying as a result. how chilchuck is entirely aware of his own limitations while marcille angsts about them. how completely incompatible the characters are with any sort of powerscaling arguments.

chilchuck tims x younger! bimbo! reader
summary: chilchuck's first impressions and favourite things about younger reader + what he's like when he's angry and how he comforts reader after a punishment
content warning: no use of yn/name, slight mention of open-wound, dacryphilia, dom/sub dynamics, implied younger reader (age not mentioned, but 18+), slight angst/comfort, fluff, slightly suggestive, mention of cock once
wc: 1.6k
author's notes: i personally love chilchuck and when i found out he was 29 with 3 kids...oh my goodness. i love dilfs bro. this was just a whole jumble of head cannons that i have for him so, sorry for the lack of flow. you can see how i got lazy at the end... not proofread obviously !! minors please DNI !!
Tumblr media
he always thought of you as a thoughtless, little girl. your head in the clouds, not a single thought in that pretty skull of yours.
letting him drag you around by your hand as you looked around dungeon floors like a tourist. wrapping an arm around your waist from behind every time you tripped on your two left feet. carrying you on his back when you were too tired to walk in your cute little loafers. covering your bare legs with his sweater to cover the pink panties that peaked out of your mini skirt.
too mini, he thought.
as much as he wouldn’t like to admit, he liked having you around. you were falin’s best friend, therefore laois’ best friend, therefore a plus one to their dungeon party.
you were like a little kid that he couldn’t predict or understand. he thought girls like you were the worst. couldn’t do anything for themselves and expected the rest of the party to pick up their slack.
but then he saw how sweet you were, always smiling with pretty glossy lips. you’d also braid marcille’s hair in the morning, listen to laois’ rants about monsters and try your best to prep ingredients with senshi (and chilchuck’s) guidance.
but he especially liked how needy you’d get with him too. you’d tug his sleeve and bat your lashes at him with such a cute, little pout when you wanted something.
“chilchuck pleaseeeeeee,” you’d whine, such a pitiful look on your face when you latched onto his arm, placing your chin on his shoulder with your lip puffed out.
“what’s going on here?” marcille giggled, raising her brows at your affection with the grumpy lock-picker.
you let of his arm to his dismay, stomping over to marcille. “he won’t give me any of that candy we bought from the dungeon market earlier!” you exclaim, throwing your usual fit. “says i’ll get sick if i eat too much,” you huff, crossing your arms.
“hey now, simmer down,” he’d wrap his arm around your shoulder, giving you a warning squeeze. “you’re getting too worked up over nothing again. you know i’m right, hm?” he’d rub your arm soothingly, as you slowly calmed down, the frown not leaving your face.
“b-but i just wanna try a lil’ bit of it…won’t eat too much, promise.” your puppy eyes almost got to him. your eyes were glossy, tears threatening to fall at his rejection. he knew if he said no, he’d feel like the scum of the earth.
“don’t start with that now,” he said sternly as you quickly wiped your tears at his words.
“chilchuck, don’t be so mean to her. she’s just excited,” senshi chuckled, passing you a handkerchief to dry your tears.
he looked down at you (not very much because you two were practically the same height), inspecting the look on your face. he knew it was wrong, but he loved to see you get teary-eyed because of him. you were just so pretty. he always gave into what you wanted eventually, but loved teasing you to get a few tears out.
“you can have some after dinner,” he mumbled, turning his head away from you.
you looked up at him, before jumping into his arms, your own wrapped around his neck. “eee! thank you, chilchuck!” you squealed as he wrapped his arms around your waist to stabilize you.
“settle down, alright? you better behave before then, you hear me?” he grumbled, as you pulled away from his face, still entangled on him.
“mhm, i will! be on my best behaviour,” you giggled, stuffing your face in his neck again, hugging him tightly.
“good,” he blushed ever so lightly, caressing your hair with his free hand.
he loved how obedient you were too. always so eager to please him. he didn’t know if it was because he was so much older than you, but you always listened so well for him in comparison to the others in the party.
whenever you were acting up, the party would bring you over to chilchuck and he would give you a hard talking to. he was especially mean when he was mad.
as much as you loved to brat out, you never wanted to make chilchuck mad. your most hated punishment was his silent treatment. it wouldn’t just be not talking to you, it would be acting like you didn’t even exist.
you were playing around with marcille’s staff and accidentally destroyed one of the columns in the floor you were in, alerting monsters of your location. unfortunately, this caused a 20 minute running montage, but also one of the biggest arguments between you and chilchuck.
“what the hell were you thinking?” he wasn’t yelling, but the calmness of his voice was scarier.
“‘m sorry…” you mumbled, knowing you messed up. you were earnestly playing around, you didn’t know you would hit anything.
he never scolded you in front of the party, but sometimes his voice could get loud enough for the party to hear.
“you know better than to use other people’s things without permission, let alone touch it. i taught you better than that, no?” his lips were pursed into a straight line, arms crossed as he leaned against the brick behind him.
“yes, you did,” you frowned, looking down at your fidgeting fingers.
as remorseful as you looked, he wouldn’t budge as easily as he usually would. “one week.” he started, fear bubbling in your tummy.
“nothing from me for a week.” he propped himself off the wall, ready to walk off.
you shot your head up, shaking your head rapidly, “no please. ‘m so sorry, please don’t,” you reached from his arm but he already pulled away.
he shook his head in disappointment at your feeble attempt, “you know the drill, angel. or would you sleep with marcille for the week as well?” he threatened, making your heart drop.
you brought your hands back to yourself, sniffling at how mean he was being. "mkay, i won't make a fuss."
as hard as it was for you to be ignored, it was harder for chilchuck to ignore you. you weren't even plotting anything.
you'd just sit there eating your sorbet, and he'd look at you like you were the most precious girl in the world. before you could sneak a glance at him, he's back to being stone cold.
you'd wear a skirt too short and he'd have the urge to walk behind you or scold you for wearing it when there were other guys in your party.
you'd trip over an uneven stone, flat on your face, knees scrapped. you'd fight the urge to just start crying, but you remembered chilchuck's words about crybabies.
"whiny little girls are only good for sucking cock. nothing else. so don't go around crying unless you want me to make you stop."
chilchuck saw the nosedive you took into the cement and flinched at the impact. he expected you to cry, but watch you stand up, brush the dust off your skirt and limp behind laois, senshi and marcille who didn't notice your fall.
later that night, you were snuggled under the blankets beside chilchuck, facing away from him. you were used to biting your tongue when you wanted to thoughtlessly talk about your day or fight the urge to just curl up in his arms.
you still had to carry out your punishment, the week wasn't over yet.
"hey angel, you okay?" the week wasn't over, but he'd disregard a punishment to check up on you.
you turned over, your knees stinging from the tiniest movement. you still thought your punishment was in effect, so you didn't respond verbally. you winced, nodding quickly.
"you can talk, it's okay." he cooed softly, placing a hand on your head. your knees throbbed, tears stinging your eyes.
"okay," you hummed quietly, hands still to yourself. he knew you were unsure about him ending the punishment so early, but he wasn't pulling any tricks this time around.
"saw you fall earlier, did you tell marcille to heal your scrapes?" he caressed your hair, coiling the strands around his finger.
"no, didn't wanna bother her," you shook your head, nuzzling yourself into his palm. "it's not that serious, 'm okay."
he frowned at your words. anything in relation to you was always serious. your health and well-being were the top seriousness for him. "lemme see then," he ushered you out of your sleeping bag, pulling you into his lap.
your back was pressed against his chest as he inspected your knees. they were pink, open wounded and prone to infection. "honey, this looks like it hurts." he rubbed your thigh in attempts to comfort you.
"it's okay, i wasn't watching where i was going. it was my fault," you sighed, leaning into the warmth you were deprived of previously.
"will you let me clean you up?" he tilted his head to get a better look of his pretty girl curled up into his lap. his heart swelled at how perfect you looked.
you nodded hesitantly, knowing it would hurt, but you trusted chilchuck and knew he would handle you gently.
he held your hand when the alcohol swab touched your wound, making you whimper and squeal in pain. you tried to stay quiet to avoid the rest of them from waking up, so chilchuck pulled you into his neck to cry.
he'd give you a cute little bandaid with a hearts on it (ones you insisted him on buying) and gave you a kiss on the forehead.
"such a good girl, you did so well for me. i'm so proud, angel," he showered you face in kisses as your heart swelled at the affection. "you're gonna do better from now on, right angel?" he gave you a look, as you nod enthusiastically.
"mhm, promise. don't wanna disappoint you," you leaned into his chest, still holding his hand. "thank you for looking out for me," you kissed his knuckles, holding his hand close to your chest.
"always will," he smiled, hugging you.
