Ron and Brett’s first greeting fucking kills me

Let me break it down, because it all happens so quickly, and I want to illustrate how awkward it was.

First, it starts off okay, but while Ron was going in for a handshake (because he doesnt know Brett all that well), Brett is going in for a HUG (probably because he’s so excited to meet Ron). Common mistake, we’ve all been there.

Brett “He liked how firm my handshake was” Hand tries to accommodate by changing to a handshake, but Ron’s socially awkward ass switches his hand for no reason so they’re both using the wrong hand for it.

They both decide to forget the handshake for a hug, if only to end this shit quicker, but…

Brett accidentally rips off Ron’s name tag and the sticky side gets caught on his face.

Brett seems apologetic and Ron laughs it off, and it seems like it’s not that bad…

Until Brett accidentally smacks Ron in the face…

And then Ron goes all “survival mode” and automatically smacks Brett back. Was he offended? Did Brett smack him so hard that he instinctively thought they were gonna brawl? Is Ron’s first response to potential violence, accidental or not, to automatically throw hands? Who knows.

And poor Reagan is standing there, forced to witness this travesty.

I love the “Crowley look at Aziraphale’s eyes since it look like stars that he made” since Aziraphale’s eyes shift colors reminiscent of the Galaxy from the blues to gold to brown and even sometimes green. ‘Gorgeous’ as he would think when looking at Aziraphale’s hazel eyes like he look at the stars before and even sometimes now (though I do believe the headcanon that he can’t see the stars because of his snake eyes so looking at Aziraphale’s eyes is his only way).

Now I want to present you something, Aziraphale looks into Crowley’s yellow eyes not just because it his favorite color. But because it remind him of the sun and what he look forward to at any given time of the day; sure you can say he can look at the sun still but if you look too long it’ll burn your eyes. So why not look at the eyes that give you hope each day and what shape you as a person from the moment you laid your eyes on only your eyes won’t burn so look at the pretty color as much as you want like it was a sunrise or sunset.

(This was just an excuse to give them Astrological love as they not only deserve the World but the Galaxy. I love these two and the show.)

The thing I love about writing and drawing snake!Crowley is I think you could argue it’s canon-justified that he doesn’t have to mimic real snake biology because 1) he’s a demon and 2) Crowley doesn’t know anything about snakes. I remember reading the drunk scene in the book and thinking that neither he or Aziraphale seemed to know much about animals, as they thought whales were fish and were arguing about whether gorillas make nests. And we know that some of their miracles are less intentional and more just that the universe bends to work a certain way because they expect it to - like Azirphale’s phone working perfectly fine despite not being connected to anything, because he doesn’t know it’s supposed to be. So therefore I can give snake Crowley eyelids and weird venom and such because there’s a good chance he doesn’t know how snakes are actually supposed to work.
