TW: Werewolf Transformation
I should probably be doing some Encantober submissions, but I’m working on TWOC and drawing to get motivated. I’ll do a few of the days when I can!
Part of the rage in werewolves at first is probably the pain during the transformation. All the bones cracking and shifting to accommodate the different body, not to mention organs and muscles too! Everything has to change. I can’t possible comprehend that pain.

Ryden had skipped the last few cooking club classes, what with going to Colombia, experiencing a plane crash and then Halloween stuff happening. This time though he was hell bent on attending. He had been feeding additional two mouths for a while now, including his own which was worth at least three and sticking to the same menu over and over again didn’t seem like a good idea for a growing baby who was now eating solids well and although still picky as toddlers tended to be, it was good to introduce her to diversity of food as early as possible. So, Ryden needed to learn and he learned best if someone showed him how then let him do it himself. The cooking class he’d been attending was stellar at it, surprisingly keeping the werewolf coming back. He usually lost interest very quick when it involved someone telling him what to do but he was invested into feeding his little family well and for that, he would suffer an occasional judgmental frown at a botched dish or a comment about his marinating skills that was supposed to be funny but all it did was piss the werewolf off.
This time though, they were working in pairs, and surprisingly he’d been buddied up with Roman’s oldest, who also attended these classes sometimes. They usually seem to be missing each other, the last time they met was when Roman was in need of help for building his deck. As they prepared to occupy their assigned cooking station, Ry took a quick glance at the injured hand the human was sporting and snorted. “Musta been a very good wank.” He chortled, not caring at all that a very respectable older lady next to them couldn’t miss his loud baritone even if she wanted to.

Hmm, there's a werewolf, a mermaid, a beast au, even ghost Mirabel. Me thinks a vampire au is in order.
Based on the fact that Vampire bats do exist in Colombia, one turns out to be a real vampire, just trying to get a little blood before flying to the next destination. As luck would have it, the bat chose Julieta, who at the time was heavily pregnant and the only one still awake at the time. She knew she'd be giving birth any day now and be on break for a week when it happened, not only for her health but to make sure her baby was healthy as well.
She is up making broth for her own belly when she was latched on by the bat. They only took a bit of blood but she fought back, slicing the bat, causing some of it's blood to fly and land in the broth without her knowing.
After the bat escaped, Julieta was quick to drink the broth to heal her wounds. Unfortunately that was the beginning
Over the next few days, she started to develop heightened senses, sight, smell hearing almost on par with Dolores. Her strength increased as well and she had the strangest cravings for red meats as well as a sensitivity to sunlight.
Having no clue what was wrong but not feeling unwell, Julieta didn't tell anyone. Unknowingly she passed her new condition onto the baby in her womb, Mirabel Madrigal.

Narcos Fic: Alpha Pack

Summary: The DEA and Colombian forces aren't only hunting narcos. They're hunting narco werewolves. Of course, there are complications.

“An alpha pack?” Javi asked again, flicking the cigarette in his hand so no one could see his fingers shaking. “You’re telling me each one of the Cali godfathers is an alpha werewolf? How is that even possible? I thought there’s only ever one alpha in a pack. Wouldn’t they tear each other apart grabbing for power?”
“Power can be shared,” Don Berna replied simply, cutting into the steak paid for on the DEA’s dime. “And their ability to share power, to exercise restraint, is part of what makes them so dangerous.”
Javi grimaced.
“And what’s the other part?” Steve asked.
“Money,” Berna said with his mouth full. He held up his fork. “Lots and lots of money.”
“Shit.” Javi put out his cigarette in the ashtray across the table. “And we can’t even go after them.”
“I think we’ve got enough to deal with Escobar,” Steve said. “The Medellín pack may only have one alpha, but he’s a fuckin’ beast.”
“Yeah, but…” Javi started.
“Besides,” Berna interjected, pointing at Javi with a piece of meat on his fork, “You’ve already had, hm,” he paused, seemingly searching for the right word, “indirect dealings with the Cali pack. You don’t want to end up on their radar again so soon.”
“I have?” Javi wracked his brain. When Steve elbowed him, Javi shoved him back. “I told you I didn’t give Pacho those pictures.”
Berna put down his fork and dabbed his face with a napkin. He gave Javi an exasperated look. “Who do you think was financing Los Pepes? Judy Moncada?” He laughed. “She had the coke, but not the cash.”
She’d also had Javi by the balls, but Javi wasn’t going to say so.
“Just leave it, Javier,” Berna advised, digging back into his meal.
“I hate to agree with this guy, but I do,” Steve said, then added quickly, “at least for now. Keep collecting intel, but don’t ask the Ambassador for permission to go after them. We can’t afford to split our focus. And our focus is Escobar. Get him, and then worry about the Cali pack.”
Javi stretched his shoulders. “I thought the pan was get Escobar then get the fuck outta Colombia.”
“Maybe, maybe not,” Steve said, and it was the closest Javi had ever heard his partner get to admitting there might be more for them to do in Colombia than taking down enemy number one.
Berna made a noise of dissent. “You just don’t like Pacho because he sniffed you out when you met with him.”
Steve guffawed. “He fuckin’ kidnapped me, then had the balls to get up in my face with his wolfly nonsense. If I’d had any wolfsbane, he’d have been so dead.”
Berna chuckled. “Your human virtue was quite safe, Agent Murphy. No Cali alpha would ever bite a DEA agent.”
“Yeah?” Steve asked. “Why not? I mean, you’re a werewolf, but you’ve never bitten any law enforcement, have you?”
“Of course not,” Benra scoffed. “The bite is a gift. Why would I want to give someone who’s hunting me with any more power than they already have? You hunters are bad enough without the bite. Trust me. Or better yet, just look at your precious Colonel.”
Steve grinned proudly.
Javi returned the smile, but it didn’t reach his eyes. Steve hadn’t been there when Carrillo turned. He hadn’t been there for Carrillo’s first full moon. Javi had. It wasn’t something he could just forget. It wasn’t something he’d ever forget. And if Steve knew how close it had come…
Carrillo was chained up, but his howling was louder than the thunderstorm that raged outside the abandoned warehouse where they’d holed up.
They been stupid enough to go it alone.
One of the chains broke.
Carrillo lunged.
Javi was fast, but Carrillo was faster, as fast as the lightning striking outside in bursts of light. Carrillo caught him. Knocked him down.
Claws dug into his clothes, sinking into the leather of his belt.
That was it. That’s all that stood between Javi’s flesh and a werewolf’s claw: a single strip of worn, brown leather.
And in that instant, Javi thrust the butt of his rifle at Carrillo’s head, taking him out cold. He’d slumped over right there on top of Javi.
For a while, they both lay there. Javi’s heart beat rapidly under the heat and weight of Carrillo’s unconscious form.
Eventually, he’d mustered up the energy to push him off.
That morning, he’d stood in front of the bathroom mirror, checking his body over a hundred times to be sure. No bites, and no scratches deep enough to turn him. Just ten unanswered voicemails. After the first three, Javi couldn’t listen to any more of Carrillo’s apologies. The blame was shared. They’d both underestimated the power of Carrillo’s shift, and they’d been unprepared.
It never happened like that again. But they’d also never talked about it.
Now, Javi didn’t know what Carrillo did on full moons, and he didn’t ask.
Javi shook his head to clear it and focus on the present. “Yeah, I think the American government would prefer it if we didn’t bring home DEA agents as werewolves.”
Steve slapped the table, still grinning. “No foreign fruits or vegetables, and no fuckin’ werewolves.”

THE REYES aren’t as large as other supernatural families, but they’re just as tight if not more. originally from colombia, they’re spread out between new york and miami nowadays, standing out as one of the few existant known werepuma bloodlines in north america. to this day they still hold a reputation in both the supernatural and more ilicit circles, and they remain active politically with daniela valenciano-reyes acting as the matriarch, and berenice reyes being the authority in new york following the death of ysmael reyes.
the reyes family also comprises people that aren’t necessarily pumas, or even blood related. this includes berenice reyes’ foster children and close family friends. for simplicity’s sake, though – this post is dedicated to the reyes’ youngest active generation only.
MARCELO: son of the late ysmael. second oldest (third counting saul) at 25.
NATALIA: daughter of berenice. currently married. mother to joel fernandez-reyes. at 28, she’s the oldest of her generation, and as is reyes tradition she acts as an authority among the others.

The night of his niece Mirabel’s ceremony, Bruno is confronted by a mysterious North American visitor with a cursed relic he is forced to take. Bruno finds himself lured by the object and is imbued with its cursed properties. His mother, Abuela asks him for a vision the same night after Mirabel’s ceremony goes wrong. Discovering that he cannot perform visions, Bruno goes into hiding within the Casita’s walls unaware of the fated future that will befall the Encanto. When the first full moon arrives, Bruno is met by the beast within. Ten years later, Mirabel finds her uncle unexpectedly, asking him for help when the house starts to crumble each day. After discovering his curse, Mirabel promises to help her uncle find the cure and restore his gift to see the future before it’s too late, but finding the cure won’t be easy and secrets are hard to keep. Not everyone in the village OR the family will be accepting of this strange beast. Mirabel will have to protect her uncle from misunderstanding and cure him before she loses a once lost family member. For good.

Son las 2am, estoy estúpidamente cansada pero por alguna razón … no logro dormir , y me he puesto a pensar en qué no sería mala idea dejar aquí mi última “ historia de amor”… aunque no sé si quiera si eso fue o es amor … pero fue algo realmente fuerte .
1.
Empezó en plena pandemia podría decirse que en abril del 2020, por un juego ,literalmente un juego …yo estaba pasando en un mal momento en mi relación , no había sido hace mucho que empezó la pandemia y estábamos en cuarentena, con el que en ese entonces era mi novio solíamos estar acostumbrados a vernos seguido y la distancia y el encierro no nos había ayudado ya llevábamos casi 5 años de estar juntos pero sentía que esa relación no estaba yendo para ningún lado hace un tiempo ya ,y con la pandemia todo se había complicado aún más … para distraerme empecé a jugar PUBG( juego online en el cual formas grupos con gente al azar o con amigos ) , para que fuera más divertido les convencí a mis mejores amigas que jueguen conmigo y empezamos a jugar cada vez más seguido , y cada vez conocíamos a más personas nuevas , y sí …entre esas personas lo conocí a él .
Una de mi mejores amigas( a la cual llamaremos Paola ) me agregó a un grupo de WhatsApp junto con otros dos chicos con los que ella había jugado , ese día yo había pasado realmente mal , había tenido una discusión muy fuerte con el que era mi novio ( al cual llamaremos Sahid ) y también había discutido con mi mamá ( con la cual siempre hemos tenido problemas fuertes ) … yo estaba en un mar de llanto y juraba que el mundo se me estaba cayendo a pedazos y que nada podría animarme , empezaron a llegarme un montón de mensajes , cuando abrí mi celular vi que me habían agregado a un grupo, entré al chat y vi la imagen de un pimiento suturado ( 🙃 y esto qué?) no pude evitar reírme por lo random de los mensajes( vaya! Y yo que pensé que nada podría hacerme reír hoy) , en seguida escribí preguntando de qué estaban hablando , ahí mi amiga nos “presentó”, me comentó que uno de los chicos estaba estudiando para ser doctor y el otro para ser veterinario y empezamos a jugar juntos todos los días . Pasábamos muchas horas jugando y dentro del juego podíamos hablar así que teníamos mil temas de los cuales empezamos a conversar , con el pasar de los días comencé a sentir que la química con uno de los chicos ( que lo llamaremos Jean) era más fuerte que con otras personas que había jugado , empecé a escucharlo con más atención y su voz tenía algo que me gustaba de sobre manera y se lo comenté a Paola ( oye! el chico de Colombia tiene una voz linda!) , cada vez que jugábamos me daba más y más confianza , y ya no solo hablábamos en el juego sino que también nos escribíamos seguido en el grupo de WhatsApp ( el cual había crecido porque habíamos agregado a mis otras amigas) , él tenía una manera de pensar muy similar a la mía y me sentía muy cómoda hablándole, tanto así que nos solíamos quedar hablando en el grupo hasta la madrugada hasta que Paola se quejó sutilmente de que no los dejábamos dormir , y empezamos a hablar fuera del grupo.

Continuamos hablando fuera del grupo y él me había comentado de otro juego que le había parecido interesante también, se llamaba Werewolf , también era online y por ahí también podíamos escribirnos , continuamos hablando y jugando por varias semanas … cada vez las conversaciones eran más largas y la conexión que teníamos era realmente increíble!… tanto así que más de una vez adivinábamos palabras que el otro iba a decir o escribíamos lo mismo , yo tenía en claro que lo que empecé a sentir por él no era normal … y mientras tanto mi relación se iba desgastando cada vez más , hasta que un día Sahid quizo venir a verme , y yo sabía que no iba a poder tener esas conversaciones hasta las 6 am con Jean … y decidí contarle sobre mi relación y preguntarle a la vez si él estaba con alguien , realmente yo no quería que mal interpretara el tema pero tenía que decírselo porque Sahid era una persona sumamente celosa y no le gustaba que tuviera amigos así que le escribí y le pregunté si podríamos hablar por el juego en donde empece por preguntarle si él estaba en una relación a lo que me dijo que sí ( ojalá y su respuesta hubiera sido otra ) ahí le comenté sobre qué mi novio iba a pasar el fin de semana conmigo y que no podríamos hablar de la manera en la que habíamos estado hablando las ultimas semanas ( por qué me dices esto a mi?) me preguntó, pregunta la cual me confundió ( hasta la fecha sus preguntas aún me confunden ) y le expliqué que era porque hablábamos mucho pero mi respuesta no lo convenció y me preguntó nuevamente qué por qué con él si y con el otro chico que era nuestro amigo no , obviamente no supe que responderle con exactitud , porque no quería admitir que había empezado a tener sentimientos más fuertes por él, y como no supe bien qué decirle habíamos quedado en hablarlo cuando haya pasado el fin de semana.
Sahid había venido a verme y se quedó todo el fin de semana en casa , y la relación levemente mejoró, pero yo ya tenía una confusión enorme de sentimientos ; Apenas Sahid se fue empecé a escribirle a Jean , a lo que él inmediatamente llegó al tema de que era lo que estaba pasando…yo no quería responder ,realmente me costaba admitir que mis sentimientos empezaron a ir más allá de una amistad…y no lo quería admitir porque sentía que era totalmente absurdo , poder llegar a sentir cosas fuertes por alguien que jamás había visto en mi vida y que para colmo tenía pareja ( al igual que yo ) . Él había dicho que “teníamos que ser sinceros con nosotros mismos”, lo cual era una manera sutil de llegar al punto , y por ende lo consiguió, después de leer eso tuve que admitirle que me había empezado a gustar , a lo cual él me respondió que sentía lo mismo … sabíamos que estábamos en problemas ( aún sigo en el mismo problema ) .
