...huh. here’s a thought.  luz might have a connection with stars.
 her name
she learned her second spell from the constellations of the boiling isles
there was reflection in the fun house mirror that people thought was a hint about creepy luz
Tumblr media
now her laptop background
Tumblr media
some hints of her being connected to stars.
y’all remember the leaked background art for season three, particularly the one with the star room? from this post?
this might actually be luz’s mind. when i first saw this i thought it would be the collector but now i don’t know.
i took off the pic and replace it with a link and tagged leaks, ok.

So, can we just talk about the way that Philip's apparent ability to possess corpses didn't come into play this special?
I mean, the credits to King's Tide and the first half of the special showed Philip observing our crew from afar/implicitly roaming around Gravesfield on his own, and Hunter wasn't a corpse when he got possessed (aka being literally infected by touching Gooplos without a covering over his sowing machine puncture wound), so this corpse possession seems to be setting up something for the next two specials.
Or as Golden Demise on the TOH server suggested, there is one particular corpse that Philip could try his hand at possessing...
Tumblr media
Though then again, last we saw of the Boiling Isles, it was being ripped apart by the Collector to build an Owl House for "Owl House," and possessing the Boiling Isles would utterly destroy everyone's home, so perhaps that option might not be quite as viable for possession - let alone the maximum at which the Owl Crew will be pushing the boundaries.
Tumblr media
After all, there ARE the multitudes of other Titan remains scattered across the Demon Realm with one big graveyard on the other side of the world at that, which I would not be surprised if we travel back to at some point during the next two specials with the Collector's help.
And with so many corpses all in one place, what's to say that Philip can't potentially combine them in an effort to take out the Collector. Whereas one titan could only seal them away, just imagine what a horrific chimera of several titan corpses could potentially do.
Sure would be a great opportunity to flex the crew's inspirations from Fullmetal Alchemist even more, amiright?

If this is Belos using the Collector's power of reality manipulation to gain possession of the titans heart,
Tumblr media
while Collector seems to only use his powers to put Luz, Eda and King in dangerous games
Tumblr media Tumblr media
does that mean that Luz being dressed as Belos was his own idea? Because it seems very weird to me that while hexsquad are dressed in clothes from the past, Luz is the only one who, instead of having a past appearance, is dressed as Belos.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There are two options for this to be possible:
1) Collector decides to do this on his own before Belos steals his powers.
2) Belos convinces Collector to make Luz and Hexsquad revert to their past outfits while Luz is dressed as Belos, telling him it's an appropriate way to punish Luz for taking King away from him.
3) Belos, after getting Collector's reality manipulation power to possess the titan's body through his heart, decides to make hexsquad have their past appearances but Luz is dressed as him.
If options 2 and 3 turn out to be true, this would prove that Belos is so obsessed with Luz that he dresses her as him because he wants to turn her into his successor, his heir and protege, or he simply wants to force Luz to see things his way, to be like him.

I’m SURE someone’s pointed this out but-
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It’s very clearly a Clawthorne relation thing, which begs the question-
Did Belos/Philip seriously fully take and use the symbolism of his brother’s lover to torment countless iterations of him? Was it a sort of penance in his eyes i.e. wearing chains while you repent for your actions? Was it to remind himself of what was “taken from him” and by who? Or was it just sick cruelty for the hell of it? Or maybe a way to distance himself from the golden guards, so he doesn’t get attached to them being as he seems to have despised every single one. TLDR; Belos is fucked up and I am DESPERATE to know the meaning behind the mask.

Alright, list of headcanons/ideas/hopes for The Owl House cast after Belos is defeated and locked away or dead due to his own ambitions (give me your additions and thoughts, I will if I come up with more):
The Portal Door is recreated, but kept a secret from all human realm dwellers (sans Camilla and Vee). Luz travels back and forth between realms regularly, and sometimes, people tag along with her. She introduces demon realm culture to her family, and human world culture to her second family.
By extension, Gus indulges in human culture with ecstasy! He plans to one day foster a mindset where the demon realm can be well received by humans. However, he acknowledges that not all humans are open to the idea quite yet. In the meantime, he visits zoos for giraffe feedings and travels to major cities to visit prestigious museums. He shows off a lot of his findings, replicating them with illusions, and he inspires fascination with the other world across the entire Boiling Isles.
Luz fulfills her secondary dream of becoming a an author. She writes a narrative about her childhood AND her time in the Boiling Isles. In the human realm, it’s a best-selling fictional narrative about coming of age, found family, and trust. In the demon realm, it’s still a best-seller, but it’s treated as it really is: an autobiography and primary source from the rebellion against the tyrant, Emperor Belos.
Luz actually publishes additions to the original work, including additional history and other primary sources (like a replica of Darius’ draining spell diagram, sheet music for “Raine’s Rhapsody,” Luz’s various artworks regarding the major plot). The sources were put together with cool aunt Lilith’s assistance. In the human realm, she is, unfortunately, credited as anonymous for the sake of witch kind.
Eda and Raine get married. This one’s just a given. Luz helps plan it, and it’s very human and witchy at the same time. It makes Eda happy to see Luz happy, so she and Raine go along with a lot of the plans. Lilith is maid of honor, while Luz and Amity are both bridesmaids. Darius is the best man, and he gives a surprisingly tender speech about his friendship with Raine while also roasting the hell out of them. He doesn’t cry (he does cry). Hunter is a spouse’s man. So are the BATTs. Willow handles the flora. King and Eberwolf are flower girls. Hooty is the ring bearer, to everyone’s chagrin.
Eda remains an excellent mother and wild witch. She continues her life pretty normally, flaunting her prowess and scamming people (teaming up with Edric more often). She is treated with more respect, and she’s seen as a champion for those with life-altering curses. She helps those affected with one live with it, telling how she learned to accept her own.
King begins seeking out the history and real strength of Titans, learning to fully embrace his lineage. He also strives to help others treat “idols” with respect and empathy.
Raine goes back to being the teacher they wanted to be originally! They apply to be a bard teacher at Hexside, so they can give good education to Hexside students. All of the Bard-track students brag about how good Professor Whispers-Clawthorne is. They teach their students the whistle trick, and they all swear to not share the trick with others. They never do. They keep an orange flower in a pot on their windowsill at all times. Before moving in with Eda, they fly/walk with Hunter to school everyday.
Speaking of Hunter, he enrolls at Hexside. The environment there made him feel unsafe, but in the safer way! The people there are good to him, too. The teachers love having him in class because of his utter passion for learning. Like Luz, the curious overachiever, he tries to study all the tracks at once. Principal Bump, still in charge, takes quite a liking to him. In addition to participating in Flyer Derby with the Emerald Entrails, he joins the Clawthornes and Bat Queen and volunteers to help with Palisman adoptions, helping those like his beloved Flapjack find good matches for themselves after tragedy.
Darius’s excellent skincare routine can only do so much. Eventually, being middle aged catches up to him. Barely. He develops smile lines on his cheeks. At first, he frets a bit. But he gets used to them eventually. After all, it’s just a sign that he’s been laughing more. He does play a major role in Hunter’s life, primary caretaker or not.
Willow proceeds as Captain of the Emerald Entrails. After she graduates from Hexside, while most of the others move on for other things (Hunter still holds a passion for the game and keeps at it with her for longer), she continues with the sport! Not only does she go on to the big leagues as an adult, as the witch she wants to be, but she’s basically an inspiration to other young witches. She campaigns proudly for the sport, hoping that it will one day be just as embraced as Grudgby and that others can use it as a mental outlet.
Lilith strives to right Belos’s and Flora’s wrongs. She publishes book after book debunking Belos’s praise and the incorrect history he wrote. She makes exhibits in museums about the culture that was lost on the Isles, hoping that truthful education will encourage others to embrace the good parts. She also eventually accepts Steve’s therapy recommendation and learns not to undervalue herself to so-called superiors.
This is all I can think of right now! I’ll probably add more eventually, and I want to hear other ideas too.

Hey am I the only one who thinks the Bat Queen can't be the Titan's palisman because of the simple fact that we have no evidence that Titans used palismen at all?
Like, hear me out. I think palismen are only a witch thing. We have no evidence of Titans using palismen too.
If the Titan's magic is like the stuff Titan Luz was doing, then it's mostly glyph based and it seems each individual Titan has their own glyph language unique to them but they can also learn each other's glyphs (seen as how King learned his dad's glyph language).
So like, what's the point of a Titan having a palisman?
Witches mostly need their palismen to fly and, son of a gun, Titans have wings!! They can fly by themselves!! They don't need palismen to fly!!
And like, the Bat Queen is big but she's not THAT big. I don't think she's big enough to have been the Titan's palisman.
I will die on this hill. The only one that can change my mind is Dana.
Palismen are a witch invention!!! Titans did not use them!!!

Yo hold on. The Archivists were never defeated. They left because they thought their job was done, but King is still alive. The titan trappers were never truly defeated either and we never see what happened to them. And we didn't exactly get to see what happened to Collector (I hope he gets an actual name eventually because he deserves more!!!!)
There's still so much of this world we can explore but we didn't get the opportunity because of the shortening. But what if there's a new opportunity? An opportunity to explore the new glyphs, and to possibly explore the rest of the demon realm (since we clearly saw there were other places) Speaking of, did Belos forget about all the other witches and demons all over the world or is the Boiling Isles the only populated place in the Demon Realm?
Maybe in this new opportunity we could finally see what the whole thing with "Seek the key fear the lock" is, because there was clearly meant to be something important there.
Tumblr media
The Owl House is known for its lil riddles and Easter eggs and as far as I’m aware everything has led up to something and has had some sort of purpose, such as the first code in season 1 “Two Witches Torn Apart Now Alone Two Hearts Of Stone A Curse Of Feathers And Mud A Betrayal Of Blood”
And don’t even get me started on the lore of The Collectors. I mean look at that book!!!!! Yes it’s got thick pages but look at how the shot specifically wants to point out to us how big it is.
Tumblr media
There’s still so little we know about them, but because of them everything in The Owl House is kicked off. Collie (Short for our Collector) is trapped because of the other Collectors tricking them and leading them to the Boiling Isles. Because of them, the Owl Beast is turned into a curse and Eda is cursed. Because of them, the titans were completely wiped out (apart from King) and because of them abandoning Collie on Earth, Belos finds them and well, ya know where that went. How long do ya think Collie was trapped for? We know it’s been hundreds of years. And the other Collectors haven’t seemed the slightest bit interested in finding him. It seems the moment they thought all the titans had been eradicated they figured their job was done and left. But where the what are they now? Off to other planets to eradicate or “collect” others? What if they were to come to the Human Realm? If they’re still in the stars, would Collie reunite with them after hundreds of years or would he still be alone up there? (Don’t get me started on Collie leaving that is literally the one thing I don’t like about the finale) Even if they did reunite, how would Collie react? How would the others react? What the actual what would happen?
ANYWAY THANKYOU FOR COMING TO MY TED TALK ABOUT WHY THE OWL HOUSE DESERVES A MOVIE WITH ALL THE ORIGINAL CHARACTERS FROM THE SHOW INCLUDING THE ARCHIVISTS AND OF COURSE COLLIE KAY BYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-

Okay, but that “splash zone” concept was totally going to be the team’s way to keep the “Hunter gets his loose hair stained by shenanigans” joke going. Instead of the goop falling on his shoulder at the last moment before stepping over Belos’ stain remains, we probably would have seen most of the Belos guts get washed off by the rain, only to have a single stubborn stain still hold onto his hair when Camila opened the door to see them all gathered at her pouch. It could have been what that silly running gag has been building up towards this entire time. As much as I am lowkey horrified that this concept almost came to be, I have to give it to the crew if that was their intentions.

For some reason, when thinking about the Wittebane brothers. I feel like Caleb went to the demon realm first with the witch, and Philip would follow Caleb years later through a leak he found caused by titans blood.
This portrait in Philip’s mindscape depicts Caleb interacting with a witch. This is probably Philip’s memory of the moment Caleb got lured away by a witch to the Demon Realm. Philip, however, seemed to be hiding from a safe distance. Probably overhearing the conversation between his brother and the witch.
Which suggest to me he didn’t leave the human realm alongside Caleb, but rather had watched with his own two eyes how a witch took his brother away from him. This sure must be very traumatic for young Philip.
Tumblr media
Another evidence of Philip following Caleb later is the diary — and this portrait from his mindscape. Philip mentions in his diary here about his first time arriving in the demon realm. His appereance in the portret —and in the dairy looks far more older, while he looks far more younger in all the portraits of him and Caleb together in the human realm. The appearance of diary Philip and portrait Philip seemed to match too.
Tumblr media
I think Philip followed Caleb later with the mindset to safe his brother from the witch, bring him back home, and be a hero. I mean, that’s such a Philip thing to do, right?
Caleb leaving first, and Philip following later makes more sense to me, and here’s why.
Imagine if you’re Philip, a young child. You’re being taught that witches are evil. As a child, you see your own sibling, who you love so much — being taken away by a witch. It’s a traumatic childhood event.
Years went by, you’re an adult now. You haven’t heard anything from your sibling. You don’t even know if he’s alive or death. Then you found a leak caused by titans blood, and you cease the opportunity to look for your sibling, safe them from the evil witch and bring them back home.
You arrive in a realm full of witches. You hate witches, because you were taught so ever since you were a child. Now you hate witches even more, because they took your sibling. Due to lots of misfortunes (like Lilith breaking your nose, lol) in the demon realm, that hatred only grew.
Finally, after looking for a while you found your sibling who you haven’t seen after so many years. But you find out that your sibling don’t want to go back with you to the human realm, but wants to stay. He already has build a life, heck he is even married to a witch and is soon to become a parent. Now the hatred for witches has reached its peak, this is not the righteous and perfect sibling you once knew. It’s all the fault of those witches! Not only did they took your sibling away from you all those years ago, but they’re the reason that your sibling is now strayed from the path of righteousness. The path you and your sibling have been taught to stay on since childhood. Your siblings now wants to stay, you’ve lost your sibling forever now to those witches and their magic. On top of that, you discovered that your sibling left you willingly. Betrayal!
Tumblr media
This is why Caleb leaving first makes more sense to me. The traumatic childhood event of Caleb leaving, and all these other events — would explain why Philip wasn’t able to change his views, unlike Caleb. He was just too far gone by now.
Yes, I believe Caleb left the human realm willingly. Everyone portrays Caleb as the good sibling. But what if he has flaws as well? If Caleb indeed left the human realm willingly, what if one of his flaws is selfishness? I think he just couldn’t handle the pressure of being the perfect golden child, and selfishly decided to leave.. Not thinking how that action might affect his younger brother. I know, we don’t know Caleb at all.. We don’t even know if he’s selfish. I guess we just have to wait and see. Philip finding out that Caleb left him willingly must’ve hurt Philip deeply.
I can’t help but feel a little sympathy for Philip, he was raised with those extreme views since childhood. I really like Philip, he’s my most favorite Disney villain. Even though I like him as a villain, I don’t condone his actions! It’s not an excuse to colonize, start a cult, commit mass genocide and murder. What Philip did is disgusting!
Watch what I wrote about Philip being totally wrong when season 3 airs, lol.

The Owl House season finale trailer analysis, feel free to add anything else :)
The beginning of the trailer starts with Amity's hand, even though she becomes a puppet she can move her hand a little and is trying to activate a glyph
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After that we have a line from Eda from the second ep explaining how magic on witches works, and with that sentence along with the latest images of Gus and Willow holding glyphs, my guess is that the Collector has distorted reality again and made witches no more magic, coming from a child who can move the moon and the sun as if he were moving an ipad, that shouldn't be so difficult
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I also wonder if it has something to do with that huge heart or was it just a non-accidental coincidence
Tumblr media
Luz is wearing Belos' outfit. I'm torn between this being one of the Collector's games (or a punishment of the loser) or if this is a dream of the Luz
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If it's a dream, Luz isn't totally inconsistent because she managed to talk to Amity and Willow ("W: You have to wake up now! L:How? A:You turn the light), my guess is that Luz is dreaming but she can still hear/have contact with other people (like Eda managed to hear her mother in beast mode).
Tumblr media
Or maybe hexsquad ran away and tried to help Light and so were puppetfied?
I think she's almost dreaming (or rather, having a nightmare) precisely because she's wearing Belos' clothes (this could be either one of Luz's biggest fears or how she feels inside, with guilt and self-sabotage) and because the characters' clothes are out of order
Tumblr media
Then we have Eda and King terrified by a moss that must be Belos, because of the eyes. Maybe Belos said something that shocked them but I think his appearance alone is scary enough.
Tumblr media
My guess is that or maybe it's Raine.
Raine was being consumed by half of Belos' moss body. I don't know if he can split himself and stay in two different places, so maybe Raine is being possessed by the palisman parts? And the palismans managed to communicate with Hunter and Luz in Hollow Mind
Tumblr media
Edit: i think they were trying to whistle! probably trying to use magic (or call someone)
Tumblr media
So Lilith was puppetified again.. I understand that decision in the narrative. Even though I love Hooty and Lilith, they are not the protagonists like Luz, Eda and King. And with their help (Harpy Lilith and Hooty) things could be a little easier and we don't want that.
Tumblr media
Luz will try to enter the portal again apparently. Most likely to contact that person in the penultimate episode. I still have my doubts if they are really Titans or Collector's followers
Tumblr media Tumblr media
About the petrified characters, I have two theories: 1. It's the Luz's nightmare. 2. They lost the Collector game and that was their punishment.
Tumblr media
But I don't think the characters will remain petrified forever because: 1.they are not the main cast characters, so these "random characters" being sacrificed out of nowhere doesn't make much sense 2.they had almost no development (precisely because they are not the main cast) so it doesn't have the same weight of them being sacrificed
If it's not a dream, they'll probably be unpetrified, which leads me to have a question: what about the wild witches that were petrified? Will they be able to come back to life?
The penultimate scene has Eda and King and they look different, especially that light in their eyes and mouth. And they're both crying and they look angry too.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I was having doubts if it was really King and not another titan, but by the bone of the skull it really is him.
But he looks bigger and more fluffy, I wonder if that was a growth spurt or is he in beast mode like Eda or Harpy Eda.
They seem to be fighting Belos as well because of the scenery (the moss and the eye in the left corner)
